This is all terrible horrible no good of course and yet another slap in the face of artists; I don't think I need to explain why. Sadly it's not really all that surprising anymore.

But also, aside from the actual "creative" choice itself: WTF is going on in Marvel/Disney's PR department? Did they all go on vacation together or something? Have they all lost their minds? Like, how, HOW? with all the controversy surrounding AI and the ongoing WGA strike, which is--among other things--happening because of the threat the use of AI in entertainment media poses to the livelihood of creatives: HOW do you have this director person out there happily blabbing on about how clever and cool this AI generated intro is? Does nobody know how to read the room anymore? Or maybe I'm just being naive and they're going with the old 'any press is good press' because let me tell you, the marketing rollout for this show has been ABYSMAL. I'm the prime target demo for this and I almost forgot it was happening! And hey look! You already have fools like Screen Rant carrying their water for them.

Anyway. I shouldn't be shocked or surprised anymore, these people are obviously artistically and morally bankrupt, but the way they are so goddamn stupidly proud of their own lack of integrity on top of all that? Is still baffling. The idiocy on all levels here is STAGGERING.

I have a pretty high, hard-earned tolerance for MCU bullshit, but this? Fuck this. I'm so tired.

Whether it was implied or not, he was always the son of Death. He was always supposed to go home to his other mother. When Death finally beckoned him home that night, Rio wouldn’t allow him to join her until he kissed Agatha’s cheek. And he knew, instantaneously, to kiss Agatha not once, but twice.

Once from him, and once from Rio.

Though he was always meant to join Death at her side, Rio gave Agatha the chance to be his mother, too, and now I am a mess about it and will be thinking about this for a long time.

How to read X-Men?

For the dear X-Men fans that came in through 97 (or the movies) and are confused as to where to start the comics! Don't let the internet fool you, there is only one way and it is by starting with Giant size X-Men #1 (1975). No I am not kidding, it truly is the only right way to get the full story😭 (unless you want to go ALL THE WAY to 1963, I don't necessarily think it's that vital)

This is me trying to keep ppl from making the same mistake I did, starting with wheadon's astonishing X-Men ☠️

This is to get ALL the context and major story arcs still referenced today. So I believe it to be vital for the other eras. (I don't know how you can fully understand jean and Scott's relationship today without having read inferno or dark phoenix for example)

Now, If you just wanna read for one specific character, that's a different story! Character specific reading guides that concentrate on the important issues across time exist! Look for those they're very useful <3

Jason is just making fun of Phantom over the phone outside of a JL meeting in the watch tower. He keeps calling him out and taking the piss, saying Phantom won’t do shit cause the JL are there.

The entire League are just staring at each other and Batman silently and awkwardly and they hear Red Hood mock someone saying “shove that in your grave, oh wait you didn’t get one” and losing it.

Eventually Red Hood comes back in still crying from laughter under his hood after that 40 minute call. Just as the JL are about to restart they just hear a banging from the space window(?!)

Everyone turns to see a feral looking 14-15 years cussing up a storm so bad even Constantine flinches(how can they hear someone talking when they are in space how are they just there?!?).

Only to hear Red Hood go “Oh Shit” and dead sprint out the room as the teen phases through the window and chases after him saying something about a Creep Bat (Flash asks if he missed another Bat Kid, Batman refuses.)
