Yes!! Thanks so much for the req anon, here we go! I decided to do an established relationship for this one, hope that’s alright!

Scout

Oh this will not be tolerated.

Scout is near impossible to ignore when he wants something, persistent beyond belief. If he wants your attention he is going to do whatever he has to do to get it.

The times where you do have time for him he spends most of it whining about how little he sees you.

When he’s not doing that though, Scout is constantly checking to make sure you’re having a good time with him. Going out of his way to make you laugh more than usual, and doing stupid things to get your attention.

Really afraid of you getting bored of him, and thinks you being busy will make you forget why you like him.

Abandonment issues are a bitch.

He is pretty pathetic, but he’s too proud to say any of it out loud, so he keeps it to himself. Just follows you around like a lost dog when you’re around, talking your ear off about all the things you missed while you were busy.

Doesn’t allow for a second of silence, just trying to keep your attention as much as possible. He’s so used to feeling like he has to work for attention so he’s not any different with you.

“Oh, did I tell you what happened with the teleporta’ the other day? It was wild, straight up I…” he continues rambling on and on.

At first you mistake it for genuine excitement for spending time with you again, but eventually you realize how disjointed his rants are and how anxious he sounds. He’s hardly even breathing in between sentences.

“Scout, scout! Slow down, relax,” you say in a light chuckle, grabbing his hand. Rubbing your thumb along the back of it. “Take it easy babe, deep breaths.”

“What? What happened?” He asked cluelessly, probably didn’t even realize he was doing it.

You just give him a big kiss, and then another for good measure.

You reassure him how much you like him, and how you being busy doesn’t change that at all. Once you start being all sweet to him he will turn to mush in your arms whining about how you’ve been neglecting him.

You make sure to give him some much needed attention that night.

Demoman

Demo HATES it when you’re busy. He’s way less clingy than Scout is, and definitely less pathetic about it, but it gets under his skin in a crazy way.

Will probably plan a cutesy date for you two. But when you get pulled away again? God he’s crushed.

Drinks to deal with it, that’s the only real way he knows how to deal with big feelings, so this is no different really.

You come back to an absolute blubbering mess, it’s almost impossible to understand him, but you definitely get the gist.

Felt so rejected that you left from the thing he planned for the two of you, and you feel SO GUILTY. You had felt bad before, but Tavish is pretty good about hiding his hurt so you figured he’d be okay.

You drop everything to stay with him that night of course, and the two of you share a nice quiet night together.

As soon as he wakes up he starts apologizing, remembering how he acted the night before.

“Oh my god, m’ so sorry,” he said the second he opened his eyes.

You kiss his forehead “no I’m sorry. I’m so so sorry for skipping out on our date.”

“S’okay,” he mumbled, just happy to have you here now.

You make it up to him by having a really romantic date night with him.

Sniper

Yes anon just like you said he is the clingiest man.

Shows it in weird covert ways though, just following you around like a shadow. Sometimes you kind of forget he’s there.

Doesn’t want to really say anything because he knows it’s not like it’s your choice to be busy, he knows you rather spend all your time with him. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that he feels super neglected.

I imagine he’s pretty secure typically, but he might become nervous that you’re getting tired of him. Won’t show any of that, you’ll probably never know about it.

Frequently calls his parents about you, they get annoyed at his lamenting. But they’re happy he finally found someone he can tolerate.

He doesn’t mind alone time in relationships honestly, but it gets to a point where it’s too much for him.

This is really the only time he’s the one to initiate physical contact, pretty much the second the two of you are alone.

(Given of course that the two of you have already been together for a considerable amount of time).

“Sniper I’m so sorry I’ve been so busy—“ he cut you off by wrapping his arms around you and kissing your face all over.

You yelp in surprise but ultimately just let him get it all out of his system, fighting it would be unwise. Not that you’d want too.

Once he’s done he pulls back staring at you intently “so I take it you missed me,” you say a little slyly.

He shrugs a little, leaning down to kiss your neck “maybe a lil’” he says softly.

You’re not getting away from him for a long time, may as well just accept it.

Solider

Solider isn’t clingy, and can exist perfectly fine without you.

Not like he wants to though, much prefers life with you in it.

Will act cranky without you though, much harder on the other mercs when you’re busy.

They literally beg you to spend more time with him, he’s killing them.

Extremely excited when you give him some much needed quality time

“Cupcake!” He exclaimed crushing your spine as he picked you up into a big head.

“I missed you too, love,” you struggle out, “but if you could please— you’re crushing me.”

He’s smiling the whole time as he complains about how terrible his teams has been treating him, loves it when you sympathize for him.

Absolutely mopey if you get pulled away again.

So long as when you’re with him you aren’t distracted and there are times when you are with him then he doesn’t take much offense to it. Considers himself to be a fairly busy individual as well, doesn’t mind going your separate ways. My man is secure af in relationships.

Engineer

Engineer, too, is a very busy individual, so he doesn’t take much offense to it.

But he gets tense without you, your his rock and he loses himself in his work if you’re not around enough.

The two of you have to make a mutual agreement to not get so wrapped up in your work.

When you two are together you probably just spend a lot of time enjoying how quiet and calm things are when you aren’t buried under projects.

Maybe you even make some space to get work done together, like taking whatever you’re doing into his workshop. If you’re going to be busy, may as well be busy together.

“Hon, could you pass me that wrench?” Engie asked, holding one of his machines in place.

Without looking up from your project you pick up the wrench “here you are dear,” you say casually handing it to him.

“Much obliged,” he responded, and the two of you returned to your own little worlds.

Parallel play goes crazy.

Pyro

Pyro doesn’t like it one bit.

Things feel calmer when you’re around, and when you’re not, they can feel quite discorded and lonely. They feel like you’re one of the few people who actually may understand them, so when you’re not around they tend to feel pretty lost and upset.

It’s not like they need you, but you make things more manageable for them.

You come back to a big fire I bet, as that’s Pyros only real way of expressing their emotions.

You feel really bad for leaving them all alone and try to make it up to them with a lot of cuddles and kisses. It almost works.

You really do have to make up with them, not just because you love them but for the sake of all the flammable things and people in the area.

You guys spend a lot of quality time together after that, and Pyro keeps you from ever going too far. Not that you mind though.

Medic

Medic gets very passive aggressive when he’s not given enough attention.

You might actually think you being buys is not a problem at first, the way he continues to insist that he doesn’t care. But after enough under his breath comments it becomes glaringly obvious that he actually does care.

He gets really huffy and cold when he feels neglected. You’re gonna have to do a lot to win his favor back.

“Come on, I said I was sorry,” you say with a frown.

“I said I don’t care,” Medic huffs

You roll your eyes as Medic turns his back on you, you sigh a little "okay well, I care. It was so very cruel of me to neglect you like that. I'm sorry my dear."

Medic presses his lips together to hide his smile "well you had better be!" He exclaims crossing his arms.

Pretty needy after that, you have to be on top of quality time with him from that point on.

He really does try to be understanding but he's a high maintenance partner and the two of you knew that going into things, so you have to just accept that fact.

Flowers and chocolate may be in order to get back into his good graces.

Heavy

Heavy is also pretty secure.

He's needy, but he is secure enough to not take it personally.

When you are around him he doesn't do any thing special beyond being a little bit more touchy with you, it's usually pretty unnoticable, but if you look it there.

You were telling him a story once from a time when you spent a long time away from him, and he stroked your arm as you talked.

"Heavy--" you say beetween a chuckle "--that tickles."

"Well maybe Heavy misses you while you're away," He says lowly as his fingers trace down your arm and to your hand.

"Oh you're such a sap!" You exclaim.

Heavy won't say it (because he doesn't want you to feel pressured) but he would absolutely love it if you surprised him with a romantic date night when you came to see him after a week of being busy. He doesn't need it, but it is very much appreciated.

Really doesn't want to come off as clingy and will go to great lengths to not be seen as such.

He totally is though, whoops.

Spy

Being the romantic that he is he likely finds some creative way to get your attention.

Maybe he let's himself into your room and sets up a romantic night in for the two of you, your favorite food and wine, candles and roses, all the works.

Pretends it's all for you and your benefit, Spy of course is too high and mighty to actually miss anyone. Even if that's what it really seems like what is happening.

"Wow I can't believe you did all this for me," you say gently, sitting at the seat that Spy pulled out for you.

"Of course, the very best for you mon amour," he says pushing you in towards the dinner he set out for the two of you "I know how very terrible it must've been without me."

His expression his smug as he sits down in front of you, picking up his glass of wine "sure, this is all definitely for me," you say teasingly, before he responds you continue "I wish you had told me before though, I don't exactly feel romantic date night ready."

He assures you that you look perfect, and if not conviced he certainly knows something else you can change into to look even better.

Spy just goes right into grand gesture mode when anything in the relationship happens.

Spy thinks very highly of himself, so he's not really worried about you getting bored of him or how much time you spend together.

Needy in his own way though.

The Cursed Warlords - Chapter #Thirteen - Crushes

A nice hot springs break and some girl talk

“You know… I seriously think there is something wrong with those monkeys,” Su said as you approached her house.

It was a small building that was set inside of a large cave. A wooden log building with a roof made of some sort of straw material. There were two windows facing towards the entrance of the cave and a wooden door in the front. Etchings of flowers lined the trim around the door as well as the trim around the windows too.

You were so focused on the house that you didn’t even notice when Su mentioned the two monkeys on your shoulders. They however took a lot of notice and sent glares towards her in anger, they were too weak to do anything against the fox demoness in this form but they still sent glares. Su responded with a smirk towards the cubs, showing them that she was wise to their tricks.

Her smirk softening into a smile when you looked back at her, “I guess… thank you? For helping us I mean…” You didn’t really know what else to say, you could practically feel Spirit’s glare from behind you even though it was facing Su and not you.

“Don’t worry about it dear… sorry for hitting you so hard Spirit. I didn’t realize you wouldn’t recognize me,” Su said scratching the back of her head nervously.

Spirit grunted refusing the speak as she looked away. Entering the house you smiled at the cozy interior. There was a fireplace, a small table and cushions EVERYWHERE. The floor was littered with blankets and pillows of all sizes.

Peaches chirped in your ear looking around while Plum stayed silent as he too glanced around the room. It was… small. At least compared to their own home and room in the Stone Palace on Flower Fruit Mountain. Plum felt your hands gently comb through his fur and dirt fell to the ground. Due to the dual from Spirit and Su, everyone was covering in a thin layer of dirt.

“How… how do you know me? You’re so confident that we’ve met before, so… how?” Spirit finally spoke up as she dusted off her arms calmly, her face was scrunched in confusion.

Su looked back at her and remained silent for a long moment. Combing a hand through her hair she let out a deep sigh as she dragged her hand to the back of her neck.

“… Maybe we should get cleaned up. There is a wonderful hot spring a little ways from here, I can explain then,” Su finally said with a nervous smile.

You stared at him for a moment and looked at Spirit who debated it for a moment. You were absolutely covered in dirt and a hot spring sounded absolutely heavenly.

Peaches hit the back of your head with his tail as he stared at the demoness who suggested the bath, he needed a grooming session and wanted one. He hated being covered in dirt, and grim for a long period of time. Plum was on his side of course, they were monkeys and needed to be kept clean. Weather you went to the spring or you decided to groom their fur by hand they wanted to be groomed!

Chirping at you, they both looked at you expectantly. You couldn’t help but let out a small chuckle at their antics. You glanced over to Spirit waiting for her approval and then grinned as she gave a short nod. Yes!!

Wukong wasn’t sure where to look, he hated to think it. To think that you looked oh so beautiful. You had stripped down your clothes and walking into the water. And Wukong couldn’t help but stare, he shook his head to snap out of it.

While he was trapped in his own thoughts Macaque was beside him with a glare set on his face. You were human, and humans didn’t deserve his the same thoughts racing through his head, however he decided to inspect the water. He had no reason to look at you, weather you were beautiful or not, and you sure were beautiful. It made his mind wander as he thought of what you would look like decorated in gold and gems. He quickly pushed that thought away, his MATE was the only one he should be thinking about like THAT

You simply sank into the hot spring water, a sigh leaving your lips as the perfect temperature covered your body. The rocks surrounding the spring were warm to the touch and the perfect complement to the water within the spring.

You glanced over at the monkey cubs who looked at the spring with a glares. You assumed they were thinking of the bath you gave them a few days ago and you couldn’t help but chuckle.

“Enjoying the water?” Su asked causing you to turn and look at her, you quickly looked away when you realized she was standing naked outside of the spring.

Su laughed as she slipped into the water, “what’s the matter? We’re all women and you’re naked too~” she cooed.

You flushed as you sunk deeper into the water, it was true but she didn’t have to point it out. You were just trying to be courteous, after all you didn’t like people looking at your naked form. It was embarrassing, not that you were ashamed of your body… but still.

You ended up glancing back at her again and took notice to the dark red stripes that trailed up the sides of her legs and up her arms. They were pretty, but you had no idea what type of animal had those, they looks too uniform to be natural, maybe they were tattoos?

*Screech!!*

You whipped your head around to see Peaches in the water, sinking. Plums was screeching as he tried to reach for him. As fast as you could you pulled Peaches out of the water. His fur sticking to his face as he chittered and chirped and coughed up water.

“Oh dear are you alright?” You asked as you pulled the cub to your chest, he was chirping angrily at this point that was good it meant he wasn’t seriously hurt.

“Maybe don’t lean over the edge,” Spirit spoke up as she slid into the water easily, though due to her height she wasn’t able to sit down without being completely submerged. She crawled up to a higher stone so she was waist deep instead of up to her neck.

“Don’t be mean, he’s just a cub,” you responded with a light eye-roll.

‘I AM NO CUB! I’M THE MONKEY KING!’ Peaches chirped loudly with non understandable words.

You didn’t notice the deadly glare that Plum was sending you, his tail flicking angrily. Her bared his teeth, you were touching HIS mate to your bare chest! And he wasn’t stopping you- he should want to kill you, want to torture you! So why does he feel jealous that his mate was the one YOU were holding! He didn’t want you to pick HIM up…  right?

“Don’t be mean Spirit, he’s just a sweet little cub,” you said rolling your eyes.

Peaches let out another angered chirp. You let out your own coo at him as you scooped up water and gently massaged it into his fur. His angry chirps soon stopped in favor of purring at the relaxing sensation as he unconsciously nuzzled into you. The dirt from earlier fell away to reveal his dazzling golden fur once more.

“Seriously? You spoil them,” Spirit grumbled as she began to scrub her fur with her claws.

“I don’t SPOIL them, I take care of them,” you roll your eyes and stick your tongue out at the monkey demoness.

She leaned against the stones behind her and rolled her eyes right back at you. Using her tail she flicked water at you with a smirk causing you to laugh happily. Shielding Peaches you walked back to the edge of the spring and set him down. Immediately he shook out his fur sending water everywhere.

Su cackled as you were doused in water from the monkey, his hair proofing out as it dried. He let out a growl towards her and then jumped on Plum who shrieked as his dry fur was soon half damp. He snipped at his companion but didn’t bite down as you plucked him into your arms, his furry face flushing as he realized you were holding him to your bare chest.

Scooping up water you gently scrubbed his fur. Pulling dirt and grim out of it as you hummed softly. Su rested on the other end of the spring with a content look across her face as she listened to the humming. It was soft and barely heard but it was nice. You didn’t notice the way Spirit glanced at you or maybe you just didn’t care but you continued to clean the cub. Gently scratching around his ears he slowly fell into your embrace, a low purr escaping his lips.

‘Don’t get comfortable!’ Wukong chirped harshly towards his mate who quickly snapped out of the comfort and shook his head.

However he did snap back at his mate with an annoyed chirp, ‘You did!’

You didn’t really know what they were talking about so you just continued to comb through his fur until he was clean. Setting him back onto the warm rocks he chirped before turning away from you, causing you to chuckle. However what you didn’t know is that he was trying not to look at you, he had no reason to look at your beauty when he had his own wonderful and beautiful mate.

“So, were you going to explain?” Spirit finally spoke up catching your and Su’s attention.

Oh right! You had forgotten about that. Su looked at Spirit with a nervous expression before she groaned and nodded. With a sigh she sat up straighter and stared at the water.

“It was probably around 10 years ago at least. Your mother, a human came through the forest with you. She was trying to find a safe village that wouldn’t try to eat her, and that wouldn’t try to kill you. You two only stayed for about a week before you left,” Su explained calmly as she turned to look up at the sky, there were a few stars in view in the pinkish purple sky.

There was a long moment of silence. You glanced at Spirit and saw that she looked daze and distracted, her eyes staring down at the water. You wanted to say something. Anything that might comfort her but you had no idea what you could say even though you really wanted to.

“… What was she like? My mother that is,” Spirit muttered almost silently.

“Sweet, she was very sweet and kind. She looked after you and made sure you were full before she even touched her own food,” Su explained with a soft smile on her face. “And-“

“That’s enough… I can’t listen to this right now,” Spirit cut her off, gulping down what you assumed was saliva as she clenched her fists.

“Are you sure… I can tell you-“ Su was cut off a second time.

“I’m sure. I can’t listen to any more,” Spirit said nodding her head as she turned and looked away from the other two.

“Spirit?” You muttered with a worried expression, even the cubs had gone silent as she stood in the water, a deep frown across her face.

“I don’t want to talk about it. How about we talk about literally anything else, like I don’t know, Su’s crush on that deer spirit, what was his name Zack?” Spirit muttered, her face quickly shifting to a masked smirk.

Su’s reaction was immediate, a bright red blush flushed across her face as she jumped up to her feet with a start. “HIS NAME IS ZHIYU! Don’t disrespect him!” She growled, fire and sparks licking off of her thick hair.

“Oh that was a strong response,” Spirit snickered and you couldn’t help but chuckle.

“You need to show him respect, he is the guardian of the forest and someone that you shouldn’t look down on!” Su snapped back, her teeth gritting together as she took insult to Spirit’s words.

You smiled when you noticed the genuine grin that spread across Spirit’s face, maybe it was because she was trying to push her other thoughts away and maybe it was because she was teasing Su but it was real. It was probably best not to push the subject of her mother right now. You were curious sure, after all a human mother? That would mean she knew humans but she seemed so clueless about when you got tired so much so you almost got sick.

“Well how about you?” Su snapped back with a wicked grin. “Do you like anyone?”

Spirit’s face went deadpanned as her face scrunched up in what you could only assume was disgust. You held back a laugh as she shook her head. “No, nope, nada I do not and WILL NEVER have a sexual partner. That is NOT for me, I saw the way you flirted with that guy, I don’t ever want that.” Spirit shook her head as she shivered at the thought.

Macaque cocked an eyebrow, interesting Spirit wasn’t involved with anyone. He had met a few people who refused to settle down and wanted freedom. However it was even fewer that would reject it due to the sexual contact. Most he knew was because they wanted more than one partner not because they didn’t want any. He had however definitely met a few that thought the same as Spirit.

LoopShe visibly flinched when you picked up some of her hair. Carefully you began to comb through it to help clean it. You saw her glance at you from over her shoulder but she didn’t say anything as she allowed you to gently clean her fur. You took extra care not to pull on her fur, that’s when you noticed her back. Along her back were three long claw marks that went from her shoulder-blade all the way down to her lower hip. No fur grew on top of them and they had long since healed from what you could tell.

You were about to ask about them, but decided against it. It wasn’t your place to ask and from the looks of it she didn’t even want to talk about it. After taking a moment to think about it, you decided it would be best not to ask about it.

“Sooo Reader, what about you?” Su spoke up, snapping you out of your own thoughts.

“What about me?” You asked, a confused expression spread across your face.

“What about your love life? You got anyone that you love?” Su asked, an eager look spreading across her face.

You stopped for a moment thinking about it. Did you have anyone you loved? Well you had your family but that wasn’t the same type of love, that was platonic. You wouldn’t say you were opposed to it, the romantic love like Spirit was. You just didn’t have anyone, not romantically.

The question had caught both Wukong’s and Macaque’s attention. Neither would mention it to the other but they both got very curious. You had taken care of the two for several days now and obviously they weren’t interested in your love life but… they also couldn’t reject the fact that you made them feel oh so warm and fuzzy. Like a warm flame lit in their chests, something that they had only ever felt for each other before. Never someone else, let alone a human woman who had showed up out of nowhere.

“I don’t have anyone, I mean not in real life… Would fictional characters count?” You asked curiously, you weren’t even sure why you asked that last part if you were being honest.

“Sure, that works,” Spirit was the one to respond this time, a teasing smirk on her lips.

So you explained, explained the story of Journey to the West. You didn’t really have much thought about it as you spoke, more focused on combing through Spirit’s fur. You didn’t notice the sudden silence until you looked back up.

“I thought the characters Sun Wukong and The Six Eared Macaque were cool,” You finally said and Spirit’s jaw dropped, her eyes wide as you continued to comb through her hair.

Wukong was frozen in shock, his eyes widening in disbelief, he was a warlord who mortals feared and ran away from. No one would be stupid enough to fall in love with him or his mate, he could and would kill anyone who appeared to like his own mate. And he knew that his mate would kill anyone who liked him. But you thought they were fictional characters from some story in… maybe you were from another world.

As he thought about this he felt a warm feeling blossom in his chest. You liked him! Even in another world he was still FAMOUS! So of course you would like him and his mate! Of course he quickly realized what he was thinking and pushed the thoughts out of his head.

Macaque didn’t notice his mate’s reaction. Why didn’t he notice it? Because he was personally blown away, completely blown away by the fact you a sweet, young, beautiful human woman liked BOTH him and his MATE! He should be furious, should want to rip you limb from limb for even thinking about that for HIS MATE! So why? Why did the warmth in his chest just get warmer, it didn’t make him want to hurt you. No it made him was to take you in his arms and cuddle with you. He couldn’t explain the pure joy that burned in his chest.

Su was the first to speak, “You do realize that those two exist right?”

“What?” Your response was immediate and full of shock.

“And they are warlords, warlords who kill anyone in their path,” Spirit added and your eyes widened further.

Su began to speak more, “Yes, Sun Wukong and The Six Eared Macaque are the Demon Monkey Warlords. They are known as the Sun King and the Shadow King after they mated, they rule Flower Fruit Mountain the island of Monkey Demons. They don’t just hunt humans, they hunt for their territories and valuables. They won’t go out of their way to hunt you of course, unless they get curious then they might. Wait wait! No, no don’t cry!”

You didn’t notice the tears in your eyes, this was the most stressful thing you had ever thought could happen to you. You had no idea if they had heard you or not, was The Six Eared Macaque able to hear you!? No no! Don’t be ridiculous there was no way that either of them would hear you! And even if they did surely they wouldn’t think about a mere mortal.

Wukong felt like he should be happy, happy that he sparked so much fear into you. SO why? Why did his heard clench at the sight of your tears, as you freaked out. He glanced at his mate who was also looking at you, a worried expression across his face. The two looked at each other before looking away. They shouldn’t think about that, there was no reason for them to worry about that.

“Maybe we should get you two to bed. You’ve both had a rough day,” Su said as she got out of the spring followed behind by both you and Spirit. Both of you agreed.

The bed was comfortable, large pillows surrounded you and Spirit like a nest. Su had only one spare bed so you had to share it, not that you were complaining. Spirit was snuggled up like a child, wrapped in a beautiful dark blue blanket. While you laid on the other side of the bed… or was it a nest? Hmm, you couldn’t really tell.

Plums and Peaches were snuggled up into your chest, both of them seemed slightly happier after the bath. They were probably happy that you finally cleaned out their fur, now both of them were sleeping soundly, purrs escaping their lips as they slept.

You had no reason to freak out, surely the Sun Wukong and Six Eared Macaque of this world would never think of hunting down a human. Not for having a crush on fictional characters at least… Right?

Though it also made you think, they were a couple in this world? You didn’t think you were in the world of Journey To The West, at least you were pretty sure you weren’t. If you were then it had a much different history than the story you had read. Letting out a yawn you tried to push the thoughts away, there was nothing to worry about. At least that’s what you told yourself.

You would try to find a way home before anything could happen. You weren’t sure what could happen before then… but you didn’t want to find out. You would leave… after Spirit healed up, and rested. You could tell that she had been stressed with everything going on recently, for now you needed to rest. I absolutely love how my MC for D and C are vastly different. For C, my mc is definitely a bit of a menace and a boldfaced flirt, and i lived for it. For my question: You have mentioned a couple of times that Y/N is Hongjoong’s Muse, so which ATEEZ songs have been written about Y/N?? (Personally, I think that It’s You, Everything, and Man on Fire seem like we’re probably written for Y/N🤭 I’m sure you have others you would like to include!) Does Y/N know that certain songs were written for her? What were her first reactions to these songs/how did she react when she found out Hongjoong wrote songs specifically for her?

in my opinion, hongjoong wrote 'light' about / for you before he even fully realized his feelings. and it wouldn't be till after you found those (unreleased) songs he made about his feelings for you did he realize that maybe he wrote it with you in mind.

you literally get so flustered and shy when he shows you the songs he writes about you. like butterflies constantly in your stomach, palms sweaty, and heart pounding. he's so in love its crazy and you are just as down bad for him 😮‍💨 he loves having you listen to the demo version with just his voice – the two of you in his studio, you sitting in his lap and his arms wrapped around your waist as you listen to him sing.

now – to answer the seonghwa part 😮‍💨 i would like to eventually make a longer post / chapter about you and seonghwa's relationship, but here's the spark notes version of it lol.

so, essentially yes, seonghwa and his girlfriend, haneul, were on a break. they had been dating before he became a trainee – same hometown and whatnot – and seonghwa did genuinely love haneul at one point. however, somewhere after ateez debuted (like between 2019-2020) his feelings started to fade.

he doesn't know when he started getting feelings for you, but it was while him and haneul were still dating. and he felt bad – for leading her on. she eventually started noticing he wasn't fully putting himself into the relationship anymore – emotional more than anything, so she suggested they take a break.

seonghwa agreed and it was during the break that he... 🤔 i guess indulged himself with his feelings for you. he did lie and say that him and haneul broke up. you had always had a crush on seonghwa, but never pursued him because he was dating haneul and when he told you they "broke up" you also let your feelings get ahead of you.

you found out that haneul and him were just on a break when she came to visit him one day at the company and kissed him right in front of you (this imagine explains it but needs to be redone a little and expanded on). you were heartbroken when you realized seonghwa had lied to you. questioning if he was just leading you on and didn't actually like you. you also felt terrible for essentially making seonghwa cheat on haneul – which is something you absolutely didn't want to happen ever.

this caused a rift between you and seonghwa (and also between a few of the other members and him as well) for a while. you lost your trust in him and seonghwa realized that he was being selfish and messed up. he eventually broke up with haneul after you found out the truth, but you were avoiding him when you didn't have schedules. to seonghwa it was painfully to not be able to spend time or talk to you and it took him several, several months to gain yours and the other's trust back.

mai : hmmm… I think my favorite headcanon about rafayel is that he secretly cares a lot more than he lets on. lingers outside your apartment to make sure you've gotten home safe, always sending you a goodnight and good morning text, oh so conveniently shows up with a warm ready made meal when he knows you're having a particularly hard day, he cares deeply but he's scared of showing it.

OMG THEY WOULD BE RELENTLESS! alkasdjflksldkfj also okay so in the demo derby fic I'm writing there actually is planned for scenes back in the early 80s where Ralph is basically like the catalyst for the twins and Turbo (who I write in the story as their older brother) actually reconnecting and bonding and being a family again (before Turbo fucks everything up but that part gets revealed later lol) and both twins very immediately come to the same three realizations:

So at the same time that they're both becoming friends with Ralph and finally getting a chance to actually hang out with their brother beyond him stepping in to protect them from the fallout from shit around the arcade related to him, they're both also trying super hard to push both Ralph and Turbo in the direction of confessing in the hopes that one of them (probably Ralph) will finally get that ball rolling, and while I'm not sure about specific details for the fic (thematic consistency and what not lol) I do like imagining that they're absolute menaces about it and at one point they just hang up mistletoe everywhere, like an aggressive amount of a mistletoe, to the point where Turbo is at their door like:

"WHY DID YOU COVER OUR GAME IN MISTLETOE?!?!"

"For the holidays :D"

"IT'S FUCKING MARCH!"

ajskjflkajsdklfjakls so if they survived I'd like to think they're just there watching these two dorks like "thirty years. they've been idiots like this for thirty years." and also get like a bet going around about who would confess again first, initially starting as a bet the twins and Vanellope and Calhoun were in on before quickly becoming an arcade wide bet because they kept trying and failing to find anyone who would be willing to bet that Turbo would confess first WHICH TURBO THEN CATCHES WIND OF and goes and tells Ralph about, to which they then devise a plan to fuck with everyone where Turbo develops a disguise for Ralph (since everyone would be too suspicious of anything Turbo shaped after the everything of Sugar Rush) so Ralph can go and be the only one to bet on Turbo, and then devise a plan for Turbo to give Ralph a fake confession in front of a bunch of people but Turbo flubs it somehow and ends up actually confessing, which flusters Ralph and causes him to blurt out his own confession, which then leads to someone putting two and two together about who the person who bet on Turbo actually was, which creates a huge mess wrt the bet and whether or not everyone owes Ralph money but at that point both Ralph and Turbo are too busy with the "holy shit we're actually still in love with each other oh fuck what do we do now???" to even notice lmao

My thoughts on the Hundred Line demo

First, and most important question: Did I enjoy it? My answer is, YES!!! ABSOLUTELY YES!!!! I am beyond hooked. This game's got its claws in me. I've got theories cookin', man!

And yes, the EN dub is fine. In fact, I'm very excited to hear more from it!

First, let's talk presentation- encompassing art style, music, and engine quirks.

I think the presentation is superb. The visual novel engine carries over some quirks from Danganronpa V3 such as having the protagonist's expression on display when they're speaking, which was one of the best things about that game and Rain Code. Not only that, but they allow movement to the side and use interesting angles to display different features of each room, while billboarding the sprites around. That's so freaking cool, and it gives the illusion of having the characters in the room around you as you're looking around, not looking like paper dolls. The art style is predictably a little more grey and mechanical than the colorful psycho-pop DR1 and DR2 and psycho-cool DRV3 and cyberpunky Rain Code. I mean, they're in an army base. That's to be expected. I think it does well to set the tone for the game.

The more colorful floors felt a bit lacking in some respects, and I disliked the sidescrolling. It didn't work for Rain Code either, and I'm curious as to why they went with this format instead of the usual DR Open World wandering. Maybe otherwise you can get stuck between the rooftop micro-habs? Or maybe there will be a horror scene later on which will require you to walk through the halls while bodies line the floor?

The music is very similar to Danganronpa, but I can't complain. DR music is almost 100% bangers, and the battle theme is original. And also a banger. TEMPO TEMPO TEMPO TEMPO-

Voice Acting

This may be controversial of me, but I like it. (Same guy who loved Triangle Strategy's dub, btw.) First, we do have some big names in here from games like Metaphor ReFantazio and various Fangans. And yes, I think of the ones we've seen, they're really good! I'd say every issue I had with the voice acting was just caused by poor voice direction. But I'm not going to let it hamper my enjoyment of the game, no matter how many assholes yell at me on stream about it. Shoutout in particular to Sirei's voice! It sounded just like an army sergeant with a little bit of Cave Johnson thrown in, and the lines were read with so much pomp and personality! Also shoutout to Darumi, Takemaru, and Hiruko, who we saw a lot of in the demo, and whose performances were all full of personality. I kept comparing Darumi to Jinx from League of Legends (not Arcane- important distinction). It helps tremendously that the localization was written so buttery smooth that every VA could take it in stride.

Oh yeah, localization. It's 10/10. That's it.

Characters

I've been following the marketing since the beginning, so I've already come to adore this cast. Everyone's a standout in their own way, but some of them defied my expectations in interesting ways.

Eito is supposedly a sickly boy who gave me Major Sus Vibes on account of his weapon being a scythe and that one CG with Takumi- you know the one. People in my circle are calling it Komahina 2 But They Actually Do It This Time. Oh god. Anyway, Eito standing up and calling out Sirei, and proving to be unpopular enough with Hiruko in the mix? I didn't expect him to be the first one to get into interpersonal drama! He seems so reasonable and so nice, but I know that facade is going to be crushed later on- I strongly suspect he'll develop some kind of one-sided obsession with either Takumi, or based on his moveset, justice and group unity, and cull anyone who poses a threat to those things. Which is to say, he's my favorite and I hope Takumi keeps interacting with him!

Hiruko was long thought of as the group's first obstacle to achieving any level of unity, and I'm definitely seeing that here with the way she threatens the others and treats them as worthless unless they're fighting with her. Girl, you may be strong, but you have 0 range- you'd get swarmed by the real baddies if you didn't have the rest of us with you! I don't see any attempt at humor with her yet- which is good, I'd hate to have that illusion shattered so early.

Darumi and Takemaru, as Takumi's first allies, are wonderful! We saw a lot of Takemaru's personality on display- he's weird, but honorable. Same with Darumi. She talks a lot of trash and acts pretty scary, but she's not just a character made to mimic a Danganronpa fan. She seems fun- and moreso, that she cares about the others enough to help them out in a pinch like with Eito's rescue.

If there are two members of the cast that may get annoying, Gaku is one and Shouma is another. WRT Gaku, this is just my own past talking but I hate characters that play Oppression Olympics to win. That being said, they asked us not to write him off as he's very kind when he locks in. As for Shouma, I just hate characters who have 1 line of dialogue followed by 2 lines of self-deprecation. But I trust the team's character writing. I trust they'll do both of them justice.

As for characters that just suck, it is so much fun watching Ima suck. Like, please stop making your sister so uncomfortable, dude, but depending on how far you go, we'll be cheering even louder when Kako hits you with a brick. (Also, not the worst guy I've ever seen in a Danganronpalike. That one goes to a certain sexist Italian Catholic.)

Anyway, I look forward to seeing more of these guys.

Gameplay

It would help if there were a clearer aggro mechanic. I don't fully remember which character had a taunt move in the first place, but it would help if I knew anyway. Otherwise, I find the gameplay super interesting, with lots of opportunity for potential strategies. Paying attention to the movement, range, attack, armor, AOE capability, etc.. of each character will be very fun in a game that's mostly mooks with one big tough boss at the end. AOE characters aren't the best in games like Fire Emblem, you know? So to be able to wipe out enemies quickly feels powerful, a bit like Unicorn Overlord.

I still feel bad about having to kill the scrunklies for enemy reasons, but they revive anyway.... won't be that bad, right? Right?

That "Finishing Blow" sequence? THAT WAS FUCKING CRAZY!!! I didn't think this game would have PVP, but GOD DAMN!!! (Can't wait for the inevitable "Shouma, you're behind on EXP, go kill the commander" moment.)

Anyway, can't wait to play Tsubasa and hit people with my car. I know we have some ideas of movesets for characters that weren't in the demo like Yugamu and Kurara, but... Tsubasa Hit and Run. Please.

I wonder what the school stats will be used for.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of board game mechanics... I was actually hoping for some brassy-sounding penis music to fit the funny looking character sprites. Didn't get that...

And most importantly, plot!

As a fan of Danganronpa, Akudama Drive, Rain Code, Zero Escape, and AI The Somnium Files, I like to think that I know enough about both Kodaka and Uchikoshi to know what the markers and cinchers are.

In three words, I am hooked.

This plot so far is very Kodaka, but I see some Uchikoshi on the horizon and sprinkled here and there, especially with the potential way they might handle 100 endings. Identity issues are very Uchikoshi, for instance, and I'm wondering if Takumi switched bodies with the ghost boy somehow.

We had our Danganronpa divergence with the complete disappearance of Sirei and his subsequent death at the end of Day 7. Who knows WHERE the plot will go from here, now that the students are essentially self-governing? And we have some interpersonal drama in there with Hiruko vs everyone who won't fight and Eito vs. Hiruko.

And what is "Cryptoglobin", the key word that appeared at the end of the most recent trailer? I know what Hemoglobin is- it's the protein that carries oxygen on your red blood cells- so... what does that mean here?

All I know is that Eito is sus. He's gonna have a serial killer arc. He's gonna somehow commit worse crimes than everyone else in the school and still do absolutely nothing wrong.

Anyway, some theories based on what we've seen:

Every character has been ripped out of their own time somehow. Takumi is from a different time period than everyone else, which is why some characters feel so old-fashioned and why almost everyone is completely disconnected from everyone else. It's because they didn't exist then- or only existed as adults.

The ghost boy is the "heart" of the Undying Flames. They appear to have a consciousness, and that consciousness wants to protect the school from the Invaders, hence why it tries to keep them out.

The flames burn through spacetime. This would explain how Takumi could see a boy he'd never met as well as why the flames only incinerate organic matter- rock doesn't deteriorate as fast as a plant, so if you sped up time around a plant, it would wither away faster than a rock would.

Rather disorganized, but those are my thoughts on the demo! I hope you enjoy!

Alright, this is gonna be a long one. Not only am I covering the canon, mainline game Sonic, but his offshoots as well. Specifically, I will be covering Sonic in the mainline games, the Paramount movie version, Sonic Prime, and a tiiiiiiny tiny little itty bit of Archie. IDW is, from what has been implied as of the past about year and a half, canon; and it will be treated as such (with some caution, of course.), so it's not going to be handled separately.

Alright, let's start as early as absolutely possible. There have been several, several statements regarding Sonic's age; the earliest of which was courtesy of our good old friends over at...

There would be a certain (mildly loud) funny video here, but Tumblr's weird barely present copyright protection probably kicked in. Anyways...

In the Sonic The Hedgehog cartoon, also known as SatAM, we get 2 tidbits of information. In the 2-part special called Blast From The Past, we see that Sonic and Sally are about the same age, both being kids of just about equal maturity. Later, in episode 24, Sally states that her age is 16. So, far as we could tell, Sonic was 16, or around that range. Now, we know that these cartoons aren't canon, but they definitely did have an influence over the canon of the series. Fun fact for you, Sonic's love of chili dogs was made up by the cartoons, and later adopted during the modern era by the games. Ain't that neat?

Chili dog related tangent aside, this was the only source we had for Sonic's age at that point. I've seen some say that he was stated to be 15 in the manual for Sonic 2, but upon trying to verify that claim I came empty-handed. The manual does mention Tails being 8, but no mention of Sonic's age as far as I could tell; and the same goes for every other Classic Series game. Except for...

Sonic Jam, the Sonic game absolutely no one cares about! In part because it's not much more than a game compilation and tech demo that served as the stepping stone for Sonic Adventure 1. Sonic Jam includes profiles for Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Eggman. This is in both the Japanese and English version, and both contain ages for the characters! Tails is listed as 8, Knuckles as 15, and Eggman as "??" or Unknown, in the case of the English version.

This brings us to Sonic, who I will be using the Japanese profile for.

The part that says "年令" translates to "Age". So, here it says that Sonic ranges between 15 and 16... Whatever that means. In the English version, it just says 15. Either way, all these make sense for these games. Sonic's characterization back in the day was all in on the rebellious teenager angle, an effort to give him an air of edge and coolness that other platforming mascots didn't have, which did admittedly win people over during the heat of the console wars! Sonic was absolutely huge when the series was new, to a degree that other mascots just couldn't match up to. Of course, that dropped off over time, but that's a discussion for another day, and not on this blog. This blog is about gay sex, not the videogame industry.

So, Sonic is either 15 or 16, most likely 15. All is good here, everything lines up, other than maybe the fact that Amy was listed as 8 in the Sonic CD manual, but that's probably fine considering back then her crush on Sonic was treated as a one-sided admirer type thing, rather than an actual romantic interest (That was usually reserved for Sally in media that actually cared about that kinda thing, anyways.)

So, fast forward to the Dreamcast; Sonic gets a redesign! Longer limbs, green eyes, and overall less chibi-like and seemingly more mature appearance. So, you would assume he's older, right? After all, him an everyone else around him got the same treatment, except for Eggman who... Seemingly just became a smidge more realistic. A smidge, anyways. You can only be so realistic being shaped like Gru.

Well... Yeah! It would look like it, since no further statements about his age were made, and in the Archie comics, they actually aged him up a year to justify his change in design. Archie isn't canon, obviously, but it shows the direction that was taken; as the players aged, so did Sonic, no matter how much people got up in arms about the green eyes for some strange reason.

... And then Sonic Heroes came along.

Perfectly fine game, mind you! One of the more polarizing ones, sure, and some of the writing could have been a smidge better (specially on Amy's side of things), but overall not really anything egregious. But for our sake... This hellspawn was born.

Ah, the Sonic Heroes US manual. The root cause of incredibly stupid Sonic shipping discourse; as well as the really, really inaccurate Sonic Channel ages.

All vitriol aside, let's look at what it has to say about our blue blur.

... 15? Really? When our previous estimate was also 15-16? Are you actually telling me Sonic 1 to Heroes all happened within less than a year? Amy got aged up from 8 to 12, which... Either age would be a bit concerning considering they're still pushing the whole romantic interest thing, one-sided as it may still be. That aside, it makes no logistical sense for Sonic to still be 15 after he's literally physically shown to be older.

On top of that, this same manual ages Espio down from 17 (In the Chaotix manual) to 16, and Vector up from 16 to 20. Vector I can believe, but uh. Aging down isn't exactly a thing that most people do.

What's worse, this age was then listed in the official Sonic Channel website... Even after they made a game where the first thing you see is Sonic celebrating his birthday. Meaning he had to have been 14 before that game to stay 15, which is contradictory to say the least. Additionally, there's a potential time gap of 5 months between SA2 and Heroes, only ever referenced in the Playstation 3 PSN release of Sonic Heroes.

This age was never once modified, even after Sonic Forces' 6 month timeskip, meaning Sonic had a birthday party, was locked up for 6 months, and somehow didn't age a year during all that. Nor after the several infrastructure-demolishing incidents such as an entire city being flooded and wrecked, the planet being shattered into pieces, among others.

And you wanna know something funny? In Sonic Generations, Classic Sonic is explicitly stated to be Sonic from the past, which checks out considering how he behaves less maturely and is proportionally much smaller. And then in 2015, the Classic Sonic style guide comes out.

Somehow. Some. Fucking. How. Classic Sonic is listed as 15... While Modern Sonic is listed as 15 too. Oh, Amy is also listed as 12, by the way. Despite that being her (ALLEGED) age in Sonic Heroes.

Unless they're from different universes or something, there's no way-

Yeah, so, Sonic Forces released 2 years after that guide. And it tried, emphasis on tried, to retcon Classic Sonic into being an entirely separate character. This was, however, later undone by Sonic Origins both re-establishing the Classic games as taking place in the past, on top of a TailsTube episode saying as such; that Classic Sonic is, indeed, from the past. It's even stated that Modern Sonic is who Classic Sonic grew up to be!

IDW doesn't make our job any easier, either. This is information from when the Tangle & Whisper story was ongoing;

However... I'd take it with a grain of salt, as it's from before IDW was considered canon, and back when Sega was much more strict on the mandates and what they did and didn't allow in Sonic media. Plus, this was still the age listed on Sonic Channel, before they removed it.

Oh yeah, that. Why don't we talk about that?

On October of 2022, all the ages on Sonic Channel were removed.

This... Was a good move. SonAmy is still being pushed ever so very slightly, with Amy's crush still being present in a recent short even if she's much more mature about it now, which would make their age difference less than ideal. On top of that, the ages really just didn't line up chronologically speaking.

So, where does that leave us now?

In this interview, Takashi Iizuka is asked about Sonic's age; to which he responds that "He's a teenager."

"Teenager" is a bit of a loose definition, probably on purpose. Generally speaking, the range for teenager ranges from anywhere to 13-19, to 13-21 depending on who you ask. Some people make the cutoff at 18, though that's almost never done when it comes to scientific material.

So, let's recap. Sonic is still considered a teenager, but he's always been considered one, all the way back from the Classic series. So, we can safely assume Classic isn't 15; either that, or he was, and the modern series takes place during anywhere from 2-6 years, which I could believe. Either way, he's at minimum about 13-14, as he's a younger version of Sonic who hasn't hit a growth spurt yet.

Then, we have anywhere from 1 to 2 canon birthdays for Sonic, depending on whether you count Runners as canon or not (which I would admittedly not at all fault you for not considering it canon, considering it's a mobile game; and a discontinued one at that), as well as a 6-month timeskip during Forces, potential 5-month timeskip during Heroes (which isn't the most unbelievable proposition or anything, considering it would be a bit weird if Shadow was presumed dead only to show back up like a week later), and a bunch of events that have caused severe structural damage to key locations in the world, namely during Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Adventure 1 as the 2 biggest examples. Oh, and Sonic Forces throwing absolutely everything into disarray on a seemingly global scale, which would take quite a bit of time to be fixed, specially considering that's still an ongoing process in IDW.

On top of all this, it's outright shown that these things don't just happen every week or whatever, things happen off-screen, characters get time off to do their own stuff, and from the looks of it, Murder Of Sonic The Hedgehog is canon, as nothing there conflicts with canon and it's officially endorsed. Which means WE HAVE YET ANOTHER FUCKING BIRTHDAY PARTY, FOR AMY THIS TIME.

Further proving the point i just stated, let's look at the geographical Prison Island. This is what it looks like in Sonic Adventure 2.

A big, mechanical prison complex made out of nothing but cold hard metal. Filled with robots, not a single trace of nature in sight. Said nature however is not too far from these military bases, though! These forests are also on the island.

So, these are the two main parts of Prison Island. Abundant nature, and military facilities. There's very little difference once the story progresses further, though, as the island...

So, why is this relevant? Well, we revisit this location in Shadow The Hedgehog! The game, not the guy.

As we can see, there is no longer any difference between nature and construct. The base has been completely abandoned, and overtaken by the nearby forests, with greenery sprouting all over it. Now, it's not impossible that plant life in the Sonic series grows a bit faster than real plants, but methinks that an entire military base doesn't get overtaken by nature this hard within a month. There's entire new trees, grass and plants growing all over what was previously pavement, not even the walls are safe! Every single area is either covered in toxic waste, plant life, or both. Plant life that, again, needs time to grow. So there's likely a pretty big chunk of time between Sonic Adventure 2 and Shadow The Hedgehog, even though they're only separated by 1 game, Sonic Heroes.

Add that to the many many reasons these things can't just happen on a week by week basis! On to my next point...

No, proportions don't really mean anything in terms of age. Sure, Vanilla is quite big, and so are the conductor and his wife, but Rouge is undoubtedly an adult and her proportions are more or less the same as everyone else. So all they help distinguish is between children (Tails, Cream) and non-children. In this exact screenshot we see that Vanilla is much taller than rouge, almost being at eye level with each other despite Rouge sitting on an elevated surface, while Vanilla is standing. This height difference is also present in the games, although we rarely get to see them next to each other.

So, all this taken into account, the fact Sonic has been a teenager since the Classic series, the fact there's been a few timeskips and at least 2 birthdays, several events that would need some time to recover from, specially with a still-ongoing recovery process after Forces, the fact Elise is allegedly 17 in 06 (which would make her whole romantic subplot with Sonic even more uncomfortable than it already is by default if he was any younger than say, idk about 16 years old at the least), among many other reasons that I may have forgotten to mention, the chances of Sonic being 15, hell, even 16 are very, very slim. At the very least, he's got to be about 17, and he could honestly be as old as 19 or 20 (depending on whether Iizuka meant he's of adolescent age or a teenager).

So, if you do still view Sonic as a minor, that's perfectly fine, and honestly believable; but with all these facts stacked up, as time goes on, it will be less and less likely that him being underage will be a real possibility. This isn't the Pokemon anime. There's actual structure, lore, and a proper sense of scale; and something like Sonic's age being frozen at 15-16 just wouldn't make any sense.

All this to say, Sonic is, most likely, no longer a minor. There's some wiggle room where he could be one, but 18-19 is the most likely option, specially considering how Frontiers was comfortable with pitching his voice down. Yes, it was for the sake of the game's tone, but Tails's voice for example didn't have that much of a difference to it, because he's a child and it would be weird for a character to sound so much older than they actually are- and this goes for Sonic too.

So, in conclusion, after extensive analysis and every source I could find for Sonic's age taken into account;

You can, most likely, fuck Sonic The Hedgehog.

BUT IT'S NOT OVER YET.

We need to take both his other iterations into consideration, as well as address characters whose fuckability status depends on him. First, the alternative versions.

Movie Sonic

This one's a kid. On top of acting much more immature and inexperienced, outright described as irresponsible- hell, Tom even says "Whether you wanna hear this or not, you're still just a kid. You've got some more growing up to do before you're ready to be the big hero". He acts like a kid, is referred to as a kid, and hell, it makes sense, the movies so far have adapted Sonic 1-3&K, the games where Sonic was still just starting out his adventures.

Prime Sonic

This one's... More uncertain. He's definitely quite immature and inexperienced; though he feels more... Reckless than anything else. More of an attitude problem than an age problem, really, considering how Amy and Shadow act, two characters who should be about the same age as him, but that act much more maturely for the most part.

This one's pretty up in the air, I'd say, considering how Prime seems to be comfortable having their own versions of the cast (going by how different Shadow seems to be and how he has seemingly no attachment to Rouge, who is one of the people he trusts the most in canon).

Oh yeah, I haven't watched season 3 yet, but I doubt it changes much of anything about this judgement.

THE SONIC-DEPENDENT ONES

THE ROBOT SONICS

While they're all likely able to consent (... Okay, Mecha MK. 1 is a bit more dubious on whether it's sapient), it would probably be unethical to fuck something that's made to look like someone who's a minor. While they were made when Sonic was definitely a minor, he isn't one anymore, and the resemblance is still there to pretty much the exact same degree, so there's really no ambiguity here.

You can fuck them. Go ham, robot-fuckers.

SCOURGE

Look, we're not covering the mess that Archie can be. But from what I gather, Sonic is, at most, 17 pre-SGW. And this is just an alternate version of that Sonic, who likely didn't go through all the uber weird shit that makes Archie Sonic's age a nightmare to deal with. So, no, unfortunately for a lot of you, you probably can't fuck Scourge. Fortunately, though...

SURGE

Surge's age is, according to this post by IDW artist and writer Evan Stanley, around Sonic's age. So, what goes for the hedgehog goes for the Tenrec, you can most likely fuck her. Go ham.

... Elise?

She was 17 during 06, and some time has passed since then, and it would be weird if she had any bigger of an age gap with Sonic, plus plenty of time has passed since 06, so... I guess you can? I don't see why you would, but power to you, I suppose. Can't judge.

MIGHTY AND RAY

These two have been here since SegaSonic The Hedgehog in the arcades, which happens even before Sonic 2 does! Ray is never once really implied to be young, no matter how much he may seem like Mighty's Tails equivalent (Which... He's not meant to be. He was made before Tails.), and he's most likely about even with Mighty, who is most likely the same age as Sonic, seeing how they're meant to be parallels (down to Sonic's sprites being rehashed for his sprites in Chaotix), and the Japanese manual for Knuckles' Chaotix listing him as 16.

They're here mostly because Mighty is a partial Sonic counterpart, and Ray tends to be anywhere that Mighty goes these days, so they might as well be treated as a package deal.

So, yes, you can most likely fuck them... Even if we have absolutely no idea what their modern versions look like. Seriously, where the hell have they been? At least we know they're fine, considering it's been stated that they're off on their own adventures these days.

Aaaand... That's it! That's all the Sonic-dependent characters I could think of, at least ones that I think don't really merit their own posts. TL;DR

New LACUNA COIL Album To Arrive Before End Of 2024

In a recent interview with Brazil's Sonoridades Inc., singer Cristina Scabbia of Italian goth metal veterans LACUNA COIL spoke about the progress of the writing and recording sessions for the band's follow-up to 2019's "Black Anima" album. She said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "I can't really tell you a lot. I can tell you that we are progressing very fast. We are almost, like, 100… We completed, let's say, the demoing. We still have to record the rest of the songs, but we will soon — probably after the tour, after the [May 2024] North American tour. And if everything goes as projected, before the end of the year [it] will be released. And that's already a big news, because we always say, 'We don't know. Maybe.' … I absolutely love the songs. I'm part of the process. But I'm very pleased."

Asked if LACUNA COIL's 2023 single "Never Dawn", for which the band partnered with CMON, the renowned board game publisher behind the popular game "Zombicide", will be on the upcoming album, Cristina said: "I think it will be. I think it will be, 'cause it will make sense. And it also fits with the other songs — it really fits with the other songs. Many heavy songs."

LACUNA COIL has just completed the "Ignite The Fire" U.S. tour with support from NEW YEARS DAY and OCEANS OF SLUMBER.

Last month, LACUNA COIL released another new single, "In The Mean Time", featuring Ash Costello of NEW YEARS DAY. The song's title is a reference to the mean times the world is living in, as well as a reference to the state the band itself is in, between cycles.

They would totally be concentrated on how she likes them. A few exchanged words on how she knows about them sure and the future. But mostly, their darling likes them!! So why is Spirit telling her to stay away!? No that won't do at all.

They will be righting that... by righting that Wukong will probably give Spirit several scratches. He's a monkey cub. They can't really hurt her and adult monkey demoness.

At least not yet anyway. I gotta say that Spirit is putting a target on her back. Of course, they have figured out that by now, they can't kill her. That would absolutely wreck Reader's life in a bad way. They saw how she reacted with Spirit getting hurt.

Of course this also brings up how she'd react to knowing that they are real and warlords!? Okay so finding out that they're real is scary enough. She may have a crush but that doesn't mean she isn't also afraid. They killed people after all. Sun Wukong fought against the celestial realm and almost won! And to her limited knowledge of the jttw storyline Macaque had almost as much power as he did.

Of course in the original Macaque was cannibalistic apparently. (I haven't read that part. I know more of lmk than jttw but I'm trying to read it, slowly) HE IS NOT CANNIBALISTIC IN MY AUS! Why because I said so.

Haha I've read your blog for so long I must've read one of your Rian Johnson!TROS posts in the past, so I'm sorry for sending a repetitive question; I had never encountered this idea that even Rian's TROS wouldn't have been good!

It's weird to think though, if he had made TROS, it would've come out later and had a 2020 release, which wouldn't have had a big cinema opening. But then maybe Disney would've delayed until 2021. Wow, I wonder how different the storytelling landscape would be by now? I feel like I'm seeing lots of properties explore Reylo-adjacent relationships in the TROS way - the good old punitive romance, bad guy and a girl resisting him nobly, or giving into darkness - and it makes me so annoyed lol.

I didn't even consider that! We would have been waiting a long time. Still, it would have been absolutely worth it if it meant we got an appropriate ending. It would have been worth their while, too, because imagine how much more receptive people would be to their various money-milking shenanigans if they hadn't put a bullet through the heart of sw and taken a dump on the entire GFFA. The stench of tros is on everything now.

Yeah, and that's nothing new. That was always a very popular way of tapping into the romance market and the hype those tantalising Gothic pairings effortlessly generate without actually committing to its genre conventions or doing anything remotely challenging. They don't care about pissing off the romance audience because that's not their target demo, they just want to piggyback off how huge and mobilised that audience is and know they can get away with paying them crumbs. 'Subverting' romance conventions is always seen as the Artistic and Mature thing that Real Writers do, because romance has been pushed even further into the genre ghetto as 'geek culture' has become mainstream.

And, eternally, 'subverting' redemption is True Art because that's 'realistic'. We must all remember to crush any flutters of hope we may find ourselves experiencing and see the world as a grey, cynical wasteland where people can't change and nothing will ever get better.

Anyone who's taken a look at my notes knows I Fucking Ramble, so don't look here unless you wanna see me share way too many thoughts about Our Life: Now and Forever (including way too much about my personal life)

Guys. Oh my god. Where do I even start. Maybe with just:

Little things I love about the demo

I am a sucker for character customization, and this game delivers that in spades. You can choose so many different things, from your appearance with a doll maker/picrew type thing, your gender and pronouns (with a BUNCH of customization), to what your bedroom looks like, to little stuff like what kind of drink you get at a restaurant. This was present in the first game too, Our Life: Beginnings and Always (OL:BA), but it's more in-depth here, and I love it. And I love that you can see your little avatar when your character speaks. I feel like it just flows so nicely, and it makes me wanna replay it with different characters. Of course, you also get many different dialogue choices, and there are so many choices to pick from. I LOVE it.

So, I absolutely adore OL:BA, and I love Cove with my whole entire heart. But man, inside of me there are two wolves: one of them is a Summer Disliker, and one of them is a rabid Autumn Pinterest Girlie. I ADORE fall, colourful leaves, mushrooms, rain, etc etc etc.

So seeing that Our Life: Now and Forever (OL:NF) takes place in a sleepy town in the AUTUMN?? With scenery like THIS???

I want to live here in real life.

The art style in general is just so beautiful. The colours, the softness of it all, the spritework, the cg art: everything is so stunning. The soundtrack is absolutely amazing too.

On a different note, the extent to which you can customize your relationships with Qui and Tamarack is so cool. You can go through a slow-burn romance, as neighbours to childhood friends to crushes to partners. You can have a cute love-at-first-sight childhood crushes story. You can avoid romance altogether and have a chosen-family dynamic. You can have a poly relationship and date both of them. Not ONLY that, but even the way that they interact with you can be customized;

That's so cool!! You can choose whether a character looks up to you or takes care of you, or whether they prefer to compliment you or tease you. And you can choose the same kind of thing when you interact with them in turn! A visual novel having this level of depth in a relationship is so awesome. The game will even remember things: like, if you react negatively to certain types of interactions, the characters can remember and act accordingly in the future. That's so cool!

I like that this story seems to be a little bit more serious than the last game. OL:BA has basically zero stakes, and very little serious conflict. That's not a bad thing at all, it's very much supposed to be a comfy, indulgent game. But OL:NF begins Step 2 by showing that the main characters have drifted apart as they've grown older. Not only is that nice realism, but it also adds both possible comfort potential (bringing your old friends back together and having good times) AND possible whump/angst potential (watching who used to be your best friends drift apart completely). The (optional) jealousy mechanic could also add to this. Obviously the game isn't finished yet and I could totally be off the mark, but even if this kind of thing doesn't end up happening, the fanfic potential is also there!

I really like how complex the characters are. Even as kids, they have wants and motivations and flaws, and they're so likeable. They change throughout the story, because not only are they growing up and older, but they have their own experiences and personal struggles. And speaking of characters:

Oh my goodness. Ohg. Tammy. She is so so important to me. She is so sweet and supportive, and she's so pretty. Look at her. Oh my god I love her.

I absolutely adore Tamarack, and part of it is that I relate to her in a couple ways. I grew up as the insecure fat girl. I love frogs and toads. The cello is my favourite instrument, and I would love to learn to play one day. When she first said that she lived with her Omi and Opa, I literally gasped in real life, because I lived with my Omi and Opi for about a year, when I was her age.

QUI!!!!!! I love them so dearly, their mannerisms and the way they speak are so so endearing. They change a lot throughout the story, which is going to be so interesting to see. And they are ALSO so so pretty. Oh my god.

As a trans person myself who is definitely playing as a trans MC, I'm so curious to see the interactions with Qui, since they struggle with their own gender identity as well. Also, when they do figure out their identity in Step 3:

What??? That's so cool!!!

In which I get a little bit too personal:

This is probably tmi but I don't care. To make a very long story short, I had a really shitty traumatic childhood. Especially around ages 10-15. Even disregarding that, I was always a 'mature for my age' child, who followed all the rules and was terrified of ever stepping out of line. I never got the chance to be a normal kid.

So, getting the chance to go through this game, being able to experience growing up in such a beautiful area, with a supportive family and no trauma and friends that care about you. It's just. So nice.

You know whats the actual best thing? Cannibalism as a metaphor for love. When love is so burning and deep that you absolutely have to sink your teeth into them. You may potentially have noticed by my asks but I often have some kinda violent thoughts fueled entirely by adoration. I actually have occasionally realized I actually had a crush on someone cuz I felt the need to brutally murder them(usually biting their throat out or wanting to dig my hands into their organs, sometimes both). I just have big feelings and I need to express them by biting those I love. So thank you for the bits of cannibalistic content, I would love more.

i feel like this is gonna come as a surprise but im actually not that into cannibalism. and i don't have the autism that makes me bite people.

graphic blood and gore are actually really triggering for me. despite my love of horror and freak shit. if you notice i try so hard not to use the word blood in my writing it's because just the word is a massive horrible turn off at the best of times. so I'll write the cleanest gore you can imagine. (i wouldn't write this stuff if it was triggering for me to do so. my brain doesn't make sense. dw about it im taking care of myself.)

so you can imagine being a sensitive lil baby with a horror addiction it's really hard for me to enjoy some content. cannibalism is one of those. i used to like it more as a teenager on antidepressants that made me completely numb to most things. I've always kind of been a fan of art depicting humans the same way meat in a butcher shop or a grocery store would be. i love that concept.

so like a little while ago i played the demo of this game called frost bite. its about a hot butcher who eats people and oh man. it reignited the tiny flame of love i have for treating humans like meat casually. i mean im on the side of vampires treating humans like cattle. im weirdly down for this whole premise.

so for me i don't really see the cannibalism as love. probably because whenever cannibalism is love its much too messy for me to handle. i do however think there's some romance in eating your partner's body in a casual way. treating your own partner like they're meat.

the romance of your partner watching you cut a steak made of their body and then enjoy it, savor the flavor. or like the op of that gambling anime. thats the real good horny shit.
