Author's Note: Drug and mild gore references ahead. I’m back from sailing around the Norwegian islands, which made me realise how much I missed outdoor activities, especially in the summer! As I’ll be engaging in more of that and playing in two VtM campaigns, I have less time for writing overall. So, I won't be able to update this fic regularly, though I intend to finish the story. For everyone who has been following me this far, thanks a million for your support! I hope you continue to enjoy my writings, however spontaneous they may be ❤️

Chapter 14: Renegade
It was the first time you’d jolted violently awake, no sweat, your body frigid and gray. Your eyes snapped to the digital clock by the bedside, its angry red numericals burning white spots into your retina. The sun had already set, but it was still early. Leon hadn’t moved a muscle.
Quick steps along the stairs, your feet were light and hurried, as you peered around the apartment to check if everything was in order. It was.
You fiddled with the remote, opening the shutters so that you could view the night sky. Was it intact too? Shades of lavender spread across the horizon, merging with rich indigos in the encroaching darkness. You could already spot a multitude of faint stars emerging in the background. A pale crescent moon hung overhead.
Nothing seemed out of place, but you couldn't shake the uneasiness that had plagued you since rising from your slumber. No, wait, that wasn’t right. You remembered dreaming, but you couldn’t recall what about. It wasn’t normal for corpses to dream, was it? You were sure it wasn’t the Abyss or the Beast speaking to you, so were there other causes that Leon hadn’t known and informed you about?
Instead of pursuing it any further, you grabbed a blood bag from the fridge and emptied its contents into your mouth, not even bothering to use a glass. You would’ve hunted tonight, but Rebecca had required both of you to be present in advance to prepare the ritual chamber before the prisoner would be brought in.
You heard him lumbering down the stairwell, lethargic and sluggish, like he’d willed himself to wake up before his usual time because of you. Leaning his weight against your back, he snaked his arms around your waist, mumbling incoherently into the crook of your neck, “Nervous about the appointment?”
Placing one hand over his grasp and the other around his head, you massaged his scalp languidly as he hummed with satisfaction. “Just a bad dream,” you sighed, downplaying the pervasive, ominous feeling that had lingered.
He twitched, an obvious sign of his concern about what you had revealed. “Hmm, that doesn’t usually happen; not that I’ve heard of anyway.” His voice was nonchalant, but you could detect an uneven stammer at its edges.
Turning you around to face him, he tilted your chin towards him, his eyes veiled with worry. “Do you wanna talk about it?”
“I would, but my mind’s coming up blank,” you admitted in frustration. “It just feels like something’s gonna go wrong.”
He drew you in, clinging to you staunchly as he whispered against your chilled skin, “I’ll keep you safe, I promise.”
“I know,” you whispered back, your crisp breath tickling his collarbone. “I don’t want you to get hurt.”
“I know,” he echoed.
You allowed yourself to melt fully into him, savoring a moment of peace where time seemed to be suspended. Both of you understood they were rare and hard to come by in these nights, especially with your journey ahead.
When you breathed again, he hoisted you up effortlessly, carrying you in his arms as he returned to where you came from. He excused it as “snoozing for a bit longer” in bed, though you did anything but.
And all too soon, it was time to go, but his scent and mark on you still remained.
━━━━━━━━━━━
“Oh, I’ll handle that,” Rebecca said, taking the unusual apparatus out of your hands as she set them aside. “No offense, but they’re kinda delicate.”
She handed you a bunch of trinkets and a musty cloth with occult sigils imprinted on it. “Maybe you could lay these out instead? Just follow the shape in this diagram.”
You studied details on the page she was pointing at a leather bound manuscript, attempting to replicate the same design on the floor. Leon was busy speaking with Jill, placating her as she grumbled about not being allowed to be present at the scene when the ritual took place.
Rebecca had insisted on you being her guide and for Leon to keep watch outside, so there would be no interference. After all, it was the two of you who were personally assigned by the Prince to take on this task, and not the Sheriff. The fewer people around in the ritual chamber, the better chance Rebecca had of completing it successfully.
“I actually learnt this ritual from a Tremere Thinblood, well, I guess they’re all just Thinbloods to the Prince,” she revealed, smiling wistfully as she mixed the contents within an apparatus. “I just tweaked it a bit so that you could focus on specific memories, piecing them together, rather than relying on the whims and fancies of what the Kindred deemed as important.”
“You’re not called an expert for nothing,” you pointed out, smiling back at her while you worked. “What happened to the Thinblood anyway?”
You weren’t optimistic, after all, the Thinbloods or Duskborn were those whose blood were too diluted from Caine to be considered as part of ‘normal’ Kindred society. They were the weakest, but also the most lifelike of all vampires. Jealousy and fear made them direct targets of everyone else, particularly the Camarilla.
She heaved an audible sigh, pausing her intricate preparations for a moment. “Destroyed by the Scourge, along with his sire.”
Though she could not voice her opinion on the matter, you could tell that she did not agree with the outcome the Prince had dictated. From what Leon had told you, the Scourge reported directly to Wesker and was somewhat regarded as his personal executioner. It was also a backup option in case Jill ever strayed from her loyalty. In this case, weeding out the Thinbloods was one of their duties, and that made your disdain for the Prince grow.
“It’s a shame, since he was so talented,” she added quietly, just loud enough for you to hear.
You threw her a sympathetic glance, mouthing an apology which she acknowledged gratefully. Then, she walked over to check on how you were getting on before asking, “You ever been on a drug trip before?”
“What?” you choked, slightly taken aback by the sudden change in subject. “Um, sure, yeah…?”
“Great, well, this is something like that,” she continued as if it were part of everyday conversation. “I’ll be incapacitated, so you’ll need to make sure that I’m where I’m supposed to be while in Memoriam. As you’re my only link to the tangible world, I’ll need your reassurances every now and then through voice and touch. That’ll prevent me from slipping away.”
You nodded. It sounded easy enough.
“And, uh, you’ll have to watch the timer,” she instructed, handing over an analogue alarm clock to you. “It is absolutely crucial that I’m back and awake by the 15-minute mark, otherwise weird shit starts to happen.”
“Like what?”
She shrugged indifferently. “Mental trauma at the very least.”
You guffawed in disbelief, realizing this was no joking matter. “And at the very worst?”
“Permanent torpor.”
“Jesus!” you blurted out. “Rebecca, are you—”
“I’ll be fine.” She squeezed your shoulder, seemingly still in good spirits. “Just remember to start reviving me a few minutes in advance.”
“Everything alright back there?” Leon called out, eyeing your discussion curiously. Jill had disappeared.
“Yeah, we’re good to go,” Rebecca commented with a thumbs up sign.
Eventually, Jill returned with the prisoner in tow, scarred and dragged around by the chains. He was no longer thrashing about like what you had witnessed in the video recording, but mute, as his will had been broken. You could see it in his listless eyes; he was a slave who had accepted whatever fate befell him. It sickened you to the core that Jill had tortured him to the extent that Final Death was considered the most peaceful option. However, if what Rebecca had promised was correct, you knew you had made the right decision.
“Hunnigan and I will be watching from the monitors,” Jill commented gruffly as she bolted the prisoner in place to a reinforced anchor on the floor, positioned just in the middle of the markings you had made with the materials provided to you earlier. “So you better not try anything funny, usurper.”
It was a pointed remark aimed at Rebecca, but the Tremere took it in her stride, offering nothing but a polite wave as Jill exited the room.
“Ladies,” Leon nodded to the both of you courteously. “I’ll be on the other end of this door. Stay safe, please.” The last word was drawn out, almost pleading, as the blue of his irises flickered, holding your gaze.
“We will,” you asserted, as he tore his eyes away from you, reluctantly closing the door behind him with a secure click.
You followed Rebecca, making sure you stayed by her side every step of the way. Lighting a row of candles on the altar table, she held out the apparatus containing the liquid she had prepared, chanting in a language that sounded ancient and otherworldly — none that you could recognize. The liquid thickened and congealed, sizzling as she clutched the apparatus close to her heart, using her fingers to stir the contents as the black concoction clung to her skin like tar. Steam rose from it, and though it appeared to be scalding hot, she was not affected. She did not burn nor yelp in pain. Her eyes glazed over white, glowing like a jackal’s at night.
The captive mourned aloud as she drew symbols on his face, as if he were crying for the loss of his unlife and knew that his Final Death was near. You felt terrible for him then, but you suppressed the urge to stop the ritual, knowing that whatever awaited him at Jill's hands instead would be far worse.
Finally, Rebecca took a lit candle, dousing its fire into the liquid which sparked a brilliant white flame, so dazzling that it hurt to look at it. There was a deafening whoosh and smash as she flung the apparatus to the ground in front of the captive, and he lit up like a bonfire, just like the one you had seen the night you died. However, there were no smoke or screams. Like an illusory magic trick, the Kindred had vanished into thin air, leaving only pale gray ashes in his wake.
She looked at you knowingly before sinking to her knees as you accompanied her. Feeding the ashes hungrily into her mouth, she devoured them whole as though it were her last meal. Powered dust swirled around the room, glittering under the dim sources of light. The more she stuffed into her mouth, the more she coughed and gagged, but she didn’t let up. The ashes decorated her chin like parched chalk and the rot of death, flaking and peeling off as others took their place.
Soon, she slackened, her movements stuttering like a malfunctioning machine as her body turned rigid. Her eyes rolled towards the back of her head as she slumped into your outstretched arms. Gently, you laid her down within the marked out area where the Kindred had been confined earlier.
“I’m here,” you murmured, holding her hand as you kept an eye on the clock.
There was no response. If you didn’t know better, you would have thought she was a mummified carcass, a relic waiting to be found and entombed in some museum halfway across the world. You reassured yourself that this was just the beginning, and you didn’t need to worry yet.
Time seemed to pass by excruciatingly slowly, like the fluid from an IV drip gradually entering the body through a network of catheters and needles, the effects of which you could never feel until it was too late. Every so often, you stroked Rebecca’s hand, verbally reminding her she had a place to return to. However, you were met with blank silence, and it seemed as though you had gone crazy and were talking to yourself.
By now, the ten-minute mark had been reached and there was still no sign of her coming back. At the moment, there was enough buffer time for you to revive her, and you prayed that this wouldn’t end up any worse.
Tapping her cheek lightly, you called out, “Rebecca? Can you hear me? There’s only five minutes left, you need to start waking up.”
At first, you merely coaxed her, but as each minute passed, your taps and voice grew more urgent. However, she remained out cold. Why was she taking so long? What was holding her back?
Three minutes remaining. Not good.
You broke out into short, rapid little breaths. “Come on, Rebecca?” You were shaking her lifeless body now. “If you can’t find the rest of them, just leave it!”
Two minutes. Shit!
Your heart raced in fear and your nerves fired up as you doubled down on your efforts to bring her back into the real world. Nothing was going to stop you from doing so.
Meanwhile, Leon had been waiting patiently outside the chamber. So far, things were mind numbingly boring and quiet, which was good. Why Rebecca had requested him to physically stand watch at the location baffled him. There wasn’t anything the cameras wouldn’t be able to catch, and not to mention, the security systems in Elysium were top-notch. However, she seemed to trust Kindred instincts more.
Then, he heard some noises coming from inside the room. Focusing his senses, he heard your frantic voice yelling at Rebecca, trying to rouse her from her comatose state. Before he could head in to help you, the light beams flickered, as if the power had been cut for a split second.
He glanced up, noticing that someone had killed the cameras. They weren’t blinking red anymore. His muscles tensed, instinctively shifting into a combat stance as he readied himself for the incoming intruder.
Just as he predicted, a blurred figure from the corner of his eye whizzed past. Sharpening his reflexes, he timed his move, reaching out to grab the culprit by their arm. All at once, he came face-to-face with the last person he wanted to be stuck in a corridor with.
“Ada? What the hell?” he snarled, finally piecing together the last parts of the puzzle. “I should’ve known…”
“You never should’ve underestimated your sire,” she tutted coyly, running her other hand up his chest provocatively.
He recoiled from her touch in disgust, throwing the hand he had seized back at her. “The Prince will have your head for this!” he hissed.
“Resorting to threats now, are we?” she laughed derisively. “Well, don’t worry, I can always counter with my own.”
Grazing a stiletto fingernail along the pulse point of his neck, she leaned in and whispered suggestively, “If you and your childe want to live to see another night, you better listen to what I have to say.”
She cocked her head, peering behind Leon at the door as she narrowed her eyes. “And from the sounds of it, she doesn’t have much time…”
“We should go in,” she decided, stepping forward, only for him to block her path.
“Ada, I don’t know what fucking mind game you’re playing, but I swear to god, if you so much as lay a finger on her, I will—”
She sighed in vexation, interrupting him as she patted his chest condescendingly. “Relax, big boy.”
Taking his hand, she pressed it against the touchpad, and the door slid open. Instantly, they were greeted by the sore sight of you desperately trying to revive Rebecca. There was only one minute left before she would be in trouble.
“For fuck’s sake—”
And that’s when you looked up, your eyes darting between the two Kindred in a mixture of complete shock and confusion.
“Ada?” you exclaimed. “Leon? The fuck—”
“Ada!” A voice next to you screeched, choking and sputtering as if she was recovering from nearly drowning underwater. “You… Heisenberg… the Baker boy… you’re planning a coup. But why?”
30 seconds. You shut off the timer. That was close, way too close.
Despite the chaos and her accusations, you’d never been more relieved to see Rebecca back to life. You pulled her in hastily for a quick hug, before turning to the rest for a much-warranted explanation.
“We only have a few minutes until Jill storms in. Hunnigan is stalling her, so I’ll make this quick.” Ada sauntered towards you with cat-like grace, while Leon trailed behind watching her suspiciously. “The Prince is getting too big for his own shoes. Even I know that the benefits of working with the Anarchs, as long as they’re kept at an arm’s length, outweigh the cons. Unfortunately for Wesker, greed will be his downfall.”
Squatting down beside you and Rebecca, she stated, “You see, I just happened to stumble upon his plans to exterminate every single one of the Anarchs here in Raccoon City, so that he can rule uncontested.”
Nodding in Leon’s direction, she addressed him, “All the time you spent with them, along with his sending you as his emissary, allowed him to gather valuable information about your friends from you.”
He shook his head in abhorrence, huffing, “You’re saying, he used me as a spy?”
Instead of responding directly, she mentioned, “Of course, to keep up appearances, he couldn’t actually have you defecting to them. Though with the increase in SI presence recently, he sensed an opportunity to redirect the threat towards Heisenberg and his crew.”
Idly inspecting the apparatus that Rebecca had dropped when she fell unconscious, she chucked it aside when she found nothing of interest. “Foolish and reckless,” she criticized. “So we’ll give him a taste of his own medicine.”
“And you expect us to trust you?” Leon spat, his jaw clenching and unclenching as he glanced between the door and Ada.
“No,” she replied simply. “But you still have a boon to pay, and your missing vessel.” She flashed you a malevolent smile as Leon drew closer, situating himself between you and his sire defensively.
Before Rebecca could speak her mind, Ada cut in, “Your Primogen is ready to finish what Glenn started if you decide to take matters into your own hands.” That caused her to shut her mouth and sink back in defeat.
So, there were others in the Camarilla who were in on this as well, you figured. In spite of the odds, you pushed back, detesting the woman’s methods from the start. “Let me guess, you have something to threaten me with too?” you jeered.
Leaning in, she sniffed your neck deliberately and simpered, “Mmm, I can smell him on you. How wonderful it must be to still enjoy such humanly pleasures…”
“Ada…” Leon warned, but she waved him off dismissively.
“With you, my dear, I wouldn’t need to lift a finger,” she gloated confidently. “No one’s going to believe a fledgling, especially without proof. And even if they do, would you really choose to endanger your beloved sire for lying?”
She was relentless, refusing to wait for your answer as she questioned rhetorically, “Or are you particularly fond of Wesker? Seeing as you know what he’s capable of.”
It was true that you held nothing but disdain for the man, given how he had treated you from day one, setting you up to fail with his ‘tests’ and what he had done to Leon with Sherry. Maybe it was time for him to go, you found yourself agreeing with Ada, in somewhat abject horror. But were there really any better candidates to take his place?
“Think about it,” she said, getting up as she ambled towards the side of the room. Fishing out a device from her pocket, she aimed at a metal grill in the ceiling and fired a shot. A grapple hook attached itself to the grill and she yanked it down.
“What’s in it for you?” you asked.
She gave you one final smirk as she turned towards Leon, winking at him. “I’ll be in touch very soon.”
With that, she clung onto the grill, blinking up into the crawl space above as she secured it back into its original position.
At that very moment, Jill burst into the room with her Doberman in tow, growling ferociously at the three of you. Her hand had morphed into a monstrous claw, sharp enough to dice anyone into pieces and ready to tear the place apart. “Someone had better tell me what the fuck is going on!”
Rebecca was the first to respond, “I had some difficulties in Memoriam. Leon had to assist his childe in getting me back safely.”
“The cameras were cut,” Jill fumed, not backing down as she scanned your reactions for answers. “Hunnigan seemed to have a rough time bringing them back online.”
“We were kinda busy down here,” Leon claimed, already well-versed in the art of omission and partial information when it came to any form of interrogation.
“You better watch your step, smartass,” she cautioned, still not fully buying Leon’s half-truth. Her eyes gleamed dangerously. “I’m going to investigate this matter myself, and if I trace anything back to you… Carlos here is gonna have a field day ripping your goddamn balls out every night for the rest of your unlife.”
At this, her Doberman let out a series of sharp, piercing barks as it wagged its tail enthusiastically. You bristled at her threat as something within you snapped. Without thinking, you sprang up, shielding Leon with your body, almost hissing in defiance. However, Leon reined you in, his face plastered with alarm as he grasped your arm, knocking some sense into you.
“Oh, so the little diva wants to play, huh?” Jill grinned viciously, her claw twitching with anticipation.
“She meant no offense,” Leon said calmly, attempting to relieve the tension between the two of you. “Besides, you wanted the report from Rebecca?”
A diversion. He had always been a clever one.
Leon exchanged cursory looks with the Tremere, who got the hint and cleared her throat before piping up, “I know who’s behind it. They’re all Sabbat members.”
“Bella, Cassandra and Daniela,” she rattled off the top of her head.
Whatever tall tale Rebecca had come up with seemed to work as Jill relaxed her stance, quirking an eyebrow at her. “Lady Dimitrescu’s childer?”
“Yes,” Rebecca affirmed. “Beneviento’s involved too.”
“That Ugly-Ass Psycho Doll?” Jill remarked, shifting uneasily. “Hm, explains the Dementation, I suppose.”
She straightened up, her feral eyes sweeping across the room one more time before issuing a set of commands. “Right, clean this mess up, and then you and I are gonna have a talk with Hunnigan to see if the info checks out,” she directed to Rebecca.
“As for pretty boy and his harlot here, the Prince wants to see you, stat.”
Your temper flared at the insult, but you bit your tongue in an effort to suppress it. With that, Jill turned to leave. Once she was a safe distance away, you whispered to Rebecca, “Did you just lie about all those Kindred? How did you come up with that?”
Her blue-eyed gaze met yours. “Because it wasn’t exactly a lie,” she explained carefully. “They appeared in his memories too.”
━━━━━━━━━━━
It turned out that your meeting with the Prince this time was more of a private affair, so instead of the greenhouse, you found him lounging on an opulent and richly-textured couch in the presentation room. He sat there regally, sipping on an artisanally crafted chalice with feigned indifference, not even bothering to acknowledge your presence when you and Leon walked in.
The Scourge stood diagonally across from him, monitoring your actions intently. He was keeping watch while Jill was busy with the previous technical hiccup and questioning Rebecca. You didn’t have a clue as to why the Prince had requested this meeting, but nothing he wanted could be good news.
The man in question bided his time, draining the chalice to the last drop at a leisurely pace, making you and your sire stand around and wait like idiots in utter silence. Finally, he spoke up, his voice laced with sarcasm, “Ah, not maimed yet, I see. Congratulations are in order.”
It took you a moment before you realized he was talking about you.
Before you could react, Leon had stepped forward, crossing his hand over his heart as he bowed in veneration. “My honorable Prince, how may we—”
However, Wesker saw through his bullshit. His patience waned at Leon’s obvious attempts at sweet-talking his way out of the situation. Brandishing the empty chalice in your direction accusingly, he remarked, “Your fledgling seems to be making quite a name for herself.”
Your mouth ran dry. What Leon had warned you about during your big fight with him came rushing back.
“I don’t want to be ordered by the Prince to destroy you.”
“If you step out of line, he will ask me to.”
You had been too careless in your dalliances with the Anarchs, and naturally, word had gotten around, as well as back into the viper’s nest.
Leon hung his head low in submission, averting his gaze. “Prince, I can assure you, I have put a stop to the issue at hand.”
Ignoring him, Wesker smirked, “Like sire, like childe.”
“Do you have any idea what I do to traitors of the Camarilla?” he asked as the Scourge shifted slightly, his dual curved blades glinting under the fluorescent lights.
A mere glance from Wesker at the Scourge caused him to back down. “Go on, why don’t you take a guess?” he beckoned you.
Although an immobilizing fear rippled through your body, you still managed to cough out, “Final Death?”
At this, Wesker bellowed with laughter. “Oh, no, no… that would be far too merciful for the likes of such filth.”
“Wouldn’t it be more appropriate and resourceful for me to have my scientists conduct their work on them?” he suggested, tapping on his chin thoughtfully. “Or perhaps I should string them up in a cellar somewhere with their limbs chopped off, and have them bleed out into my waiting cup, hmm?”
You noticed the way he had emphasized ‘them’ sounded more like he meant ‘you’.
Placing his chalice on the side table, he leaned forward with his hands in a steepled position and grinned deviously. “I mean, all these marvelous reviews have left me wanting to have a taste…”
You gulped at his insinuation, your hands trembling as you tried to conceal them from his sight. Then, you felt Leon nudging you protectively behind him.
The amber of Wesker’s eyes glowered through his shades. “And why do I get the feeling you’re not telling me everything, Leon?”
“My trusted Sheriff has her suspicions that you’ve not been fully cooperative on the case,” he alleged, looking to your sire for an answer.
“The information turned out to be more difficult to acquire than expected,” Leon explained guardedly. “But I have provided Jill with everything I know, and so has Rebecca.”
Truth be told, you were in two minds when Ada had approached you with her request. However, the way this meeting had unfolded caused the hatred you harbored for Wesker to grow exponentially — so much so that you said nothing when Leon was lying through his teeth. You had taken your stance.
There was a long, agonizing pause as Wesker considered his words. “Very well, you’ve made your bed, Leon. Just be aware, we will find out whatever it is you’re hiding…” he trailed off before stating in a deliberate tone, “You of all Kindred should know how much I love personally gutting traitors.”
Angling his head towards you, he warned, “One more misstep and we’ll see about that drink I am dying to have…”
You nodded feebly, preparing to take your leave with Leon who was ushering you out hurriedly.
It was only when you had reached the door of the room that Wesker tutted, “I’m not quite done with you yet.”
Like a sly predator toying with its prey, he had lulled you into a false sense of security, only to yank it away at the last minute. Whirling around, you caught a glimpse of the diabolical uptick in his lips as a side door slid open.
A slender blonde woman with a layered, cropped haircut walked in apathetically, seemingly oblivious to the tense atmosphere that permeated the space. She was dressed in a fitted beige blouse, olive khaki pants, and lace-up utility boots. An arctic blue scarf adorned her neck even though the temperatures within Elysium were well-regulated.
You heard Leon's breath hitch as he suddenly gripped your hand with a vice-like hold. The woman smiled placidly at the two of you, and it was then that you could see the blank stare in her glassy blue eyes. Was she—?
Wesker flung his arms open dramatically, as if unveiling a prized possession. “Ah, Sherry! How nice of you to join us.”

Phone Guy Month 2024 - night 4
Disclaimer: this is my first ever fic so this is shit. You have been warned
-
-
-
There was no chance for phone guy to make it out alive tonight. He knew that.
All the years he worked at Freddy's and this is what he gets. Fazbear entertainment wouldn't care if he disappeared, he was going to die here and no one would care. It's just going to get covered up, swept under the rug like it's nothing, like he was nothing. did he not think they would let it happen happen? Did he think he was different from the others? Whatever the case may be he is going to die here. Alone.
As the the battery drains and the animatronics he oh so adored came nearer, he grabbed the phone receiver and started recording. He didn't know why he did it but talking to an imaginary person who is going through the same thing as him was comforting.
"Hello, hello? wow, day 4. I knew you could do it." In truth, he doubted the guard after him made it to this point. But he could only hope.
"Uh, hey, listen, I may not be around to send you a message tomorrow." His voice trembled. A loud bang was heard.
"It’s, it’s been a bad night here. For me. Umm... I-I’m kinda glad that I recorded my messages for you..." He cleared his throat. "uh, when I did." There was a short pause, there wasn't time to spare but it was hard to get his words out "Uh hey, do me a favor.. Uh, maybe sometime, uh, you could check inside those suits? Uh, in the back room?"
"Uh, I'm gonna try to hold out... until someone... checks. Maybe it won’t be so bad." He knew that it would be bad, denial of what horror he was about to experience maybe? Or he was trying to comfort himself
"I-I-I-I always wondered what was in all those empty heads... back there--" the lights went out and Toreador's march started playing. That's it for him. It was just a matter of who gets to him first.
He could hear a moan coming from chica. "Oh no..."
Before chica could get to him, golden freddy, that withered ,old raggedy suit appeared Infront of phone guy, why was it there? he couldn't even react, it let out a horrible screech deeper than the others making him drop the receiver ending the recording. It wasn't long before the other animatronics got in too.
In front of him where golden freddy was supposed to be he could see her. A small girl with black hair, she was almost featureless besides her eyes that were crying black tears but phone guy recognised her instantly,
no he couldn't ignore it, why was his mind messing with him like this! She was long dead but she looked real, as real as the day she went missing, maybe she was there to remind him of his negligence that caused her disappearance
As suddenly as she came she disappeared. He knew it wasn't real, she wasn't real, it was just his conscious taunting him for not saving her.
Although that hallucination left him even more vulnerable. So before Phone guy could do anything the animatronics got him and dragged him off.
While he was getting dragged to the backroom by the animatronics he wouldn't have admitted it but fear froze him, he accepted he couldn't run away from this, all he could do is pray to that he will make it long enough for someone to help him, which likely wouldn't happen. then he wondered if he even deserves to be saved but quickly dismisses it.
He was in the backroom now. It looked like they were picking a suit specifically for him, he wondered about the point of it but it didn't matter the suit was sat down on a table and he was forcefully shoved in this slightly old bonnie suit.
It didn't fit him of course.
The suit's inside was ripping his skin apart, making a horrible HORRIBLE sound, it was agonisingly slow, the more he struggled the worse it got, he was screaming, crying, praying, ANYTHING.
It was all for nothing.
Eventually he fell passed out from blood loss. Which prompted the animatronics to finally put on the head and finish him off. His eyes popped out of the mask.
He died like he lived, a goddamned coward.

Neil is so anxious, poor boy.
Uhoh. The shower went silent???
Miles daydreaming... But sir about what? 👀👀
Wait is this the same day? Because it sounds like Miles has been in office for a little bit? Or am I misunderstanding?
Johnny calling Miles your highness with sarcasm is so good.
Nara! Is she Miles's doorman now? What's been happening?
Miles is so casual about everything? Was his uptightness all because he didn't get laid?? You can't tell me him and Marcos didn't get it on now and then.
Miles is trying so hard, but this is all so complicated. Noooooo this is unbearable. I cannot deal with this awkwardness and Miles saying the wrong thing. It's too much, please I cannot handle secondhand embarrassment. Why would anyone want to be Prince?
What is happening right now??? Miles is being collected?
Okay not gonna lie, it's not that this episode isn't good so far, but I don't get the big deal with this episode. So far.
Johnny as senechal??? 😂😂 And primogen?? And Miles didn't even tell him beforehand?!? Why???
What???? These fucking princes, bunch of shitheads. I am so confused.
Wait praxis again?? Lmaoo is new haven going to be a revolving door of praxises? 😂
Not the rust coloured jacket!!! How dare they!
Okay but what is Miles's obsession with chopping people's arms off?
5 celerity actions??? Damn
Holy fuck. They are both absolute beasts this fight, like it's kind of scary actually.
He's trying to rip the guy's arms off??? I'm screaming!!! Reminds me of "is your weakest at the elbow or the shoulder?"
An sos from his fucking daughter???? Right now???? Can they never have a moment of peace???!? Fucking fuck.
Kabir!!! I totally forgot about Kabir!
Oh my God! New mechanic?? Seizing narrative control!?! That's cool!
Jesus christ!! That static was a fucking jump scare omg!!!
No little boy can survive....?!? Don't you dare touch Joey!!!! I will murder you.
This narrative control is crazy!!! So badass.
"my Joey" omg I'm gonna cry! 😭
Kabir is gone?????? Because she took narrative control??. Cruel but amazing.
"Baby?" Not the baby omg. 😭😭😭 Parents talking gentle about their children is my weakness.
The shower turns off and the sink begins to run? Why?
FESTER!! STOP! 😂😂😂😂
... Is that racist against toreador??
Can she even...? NEIL! How were you going to finish that sentence???
"I've done sex" clearly said by someone who has had sex... Clearly.
The way I cackled when Neil said that.
Neil just talking about how he likes that his family is closer and Britta is the glue. 😭
Fester! Don't you dare make Neil doubt that Britta loves him!!
What what what??? What is happening???? What is this conversation??? Neil's sire?? What? Fire?!? Molotov cocktail??? Fester Neil's sire??? I'm so confused?!?
He has some guts, just pulling her by the corset and starting to untie it. So fucking rude!
"it's just rational to let him help" suuuure Britta.
In front of a fucking mirror??? Pendragon is such a walking villain cliché.
Jan Petersen is Miles's sire right?
Also so far the only redeeming quality Pendragon has (aside from sexiness) is the way he says camarilla.
They're just having a normal conversation and I think oh this isn't so bad, but then he goes to brush his hands over her arms and touch her and I'm just squicked out! And forcing her to see her moon. GROSS!!!!
This man is using such classic abusive tactics of pulling her in, being semi nice, and then threatening her. Like what a piece of trash!
Don't you dare be disarmed by this girl desperately trying to save herself from meeting the sun!!!
He summoned her to the bathroom?!? Like dude you can just call her over she is like 15 feet away from you. You are such a piece of SHIT!
I hate pendragon. And I hate That part of me is still going 👀.

// drabble :: a night out 🩸
His tastes were most reliably met
in the seedier parts of the downtown district, where the Prince had already given him leave to feed. On an average evening, one out of ten of its denizens had some form of blood on their hands, which was exactly what he sought. In the dark of the night, he had an easy time disguising his intent amongst the crowds of drunk chavs and party girls. He could smell past their perfumes, past their sweat, past their alcohol coated skin. He could hear their hearts beating beyond the sounds of traffic, chatter, and music. With cigarette smoke disguising his cold breath again, he slipped through the crowds, brushing shoulders with the people he passed.
As he grazed past the shoulder of a woman finishing a paper-wrapped bottle of liquor, he got a flash of a memory in his head. Two weeks ago, in a dingy old hotel room, a man sat on the floor, death in his eyes and a gory gouge in his neck. She held a broken bottle in her hand, dripping a mix of whiskey and vitae. She wanted him to pay her. He didn't have the money and called her a cheap slag who wasn’t worth it anyway. The rush of cutting him up was payment enough to her.
Perfect.
He turned around, using the crowd to disguise his stalking. She stumbled about with inebriation, chuckling to herself. She was alone. Even better. He kept after her, silently lurking some meters behind. He did this for a while, until she had split off from the crowds. It was then that he made his presence more known, beckoning her with a smoothly said, “Hello, little lady.”
“A ‘little lady’, am I?” She stopped and turned back toward him, lips pursed with scrutiny. She wasn’t afraid. It seems as though her experience with the man and the bottle had steeled her courage. “What do you want?”
“A trick or two,” Ruairí answered with a little smile. “Just got paid and wanna have a little fun.”
Putting her hand on her hip, she skeptically bobbed her head around. “Really now?” He stood still as she apprehensively approached to eye him up. He may not have been a Toreador, but he was still a looker, from all accounts he'd been given. She certainly seemed to think so, because she put her hand on his shoulder, playing with the collar of his leather coat. “Hmm... Well my bill's due tomorrow. Got sixty quid for me?”
He played along, feigning reluctance at the price. “Sixty? Hm... Steep, but you'd be worth it, wouldn't ya?” He slipped his hand down the back of her skirt, squeezing the soft, warm flesh of her cheek. She gave him a little giggle. He was unsure if it was excitement for work, or excitement for another chance at playing Death. She pulled him along by his coat to follow her up the stairs of the run down hotel.
They were already beginning to undress one another as they tumbled through the door to her room. She pulled off his jacket, then his button up. He broke the contact between their lips to pull her shirt up over her head, tossing it aside to land over the lampshade in the corner of the room. He allowed his power of presence to entice her further, and he could sense it in her racing heart. In the heat of her growing arousal, he shoved her onto her bed before pulling his tee off. Before too much contact with his cold skin, he forced his vampiric heart into a faster beat to feign body heat. He climbed onto the bed, straddling her while kissing her bare chest. Oh, her veins gave a scent so pleasant, like a mulled hard cider. She released a plaintive moan and dug her nails into his back. When she reached down to undo his belt and open his fly, he took the opportunity.
Pressing his tongue against the back roof of his mouth, he extended his fangs, and before she even had a chance to notice his eyes turning black, it began. He pulled her head aside by her hair, and sank his teeth into her neck. She screamed at first, but as soon as he began to drink, the Kiss took hold of her senses, filling her with a bliss she had probably so rarely felt before. She didn't fight him, but rather held him. Her heart calmed to a sleeping pace as he sipped her vitae. As soon as her grip began to release, he knew it was enough from her. She went limp against the mattress, falling unconscious. His fangs hovered over her bloodied skin for a few more seconds.
He could have had more, and the Beast within him tried to fight for the last of her essence, but he stopped himself.Sitting back up, he looked down at her sprawled beneath his open legs, and watched her chest slowly rise and lower. Over a short time, the wounds on her neck stopped bleeding and sealed up. He listened to the slowed beat of her heart, assuring himself she still lived. Licking his fangs and woozing to the side, he muttered, “Got me tipsy, ya little drunkard...” Now came the protocol and order of the Masquerade. He put his middle and index fingers to her forehead, he began his suggestion to her slumbering, vulnerable mind. “You are safe. You had a good time. He was just a normal john. You can't remember anything about him.” Dressing himself, he opened his wallet and pulled out two creased centuries. He tossed the wad of money on her breasts and saw himself out.

The FNaF strategy: The Sound Design in accordance to gameplay.
Five Nights At Freddy's Gameplay Walk through/ No Commentary by Gamer's Little Playground on Youtube 12 Apr 2023: My notes and analysis from observation of a play through, about audio cues and overall sound design and how it effects gameplay.
Continued.
The Pizzeria: Various sounds of pots and pans can be heard faintly within the audio tracks. Like with any sound effects that are played throughout the nights, it isn't until you find patterns in them and evident visual cues whether they are advantageous or a red herring. With this sound, the player finds out that this is actually Chica in the kitchen: realising the sound is stronger on the that camera and that Chica is nowhere to be seen in the map. This is advantageous audio further along in the game as it gives the player the information that that's where Chica is without checking the monitors and wasting power.
This same goes with Freddy's laughter. The more times you find the patterns within the sound and his movements on the cameras, the player can detect when he moves, and count his laughs as he gets closer to the office without looking at the monitors and wasting power, once again.
Foxy running down the hall and banging on the door. these sounds are not advantageous nor a red herring. But are simply there to enhance the action happening on the screen. As little you could do with the information that the audio is giving you. Unless to speedily close your door in a matter of seconds before he can reach you. But once you hear the footsteps you are almost gone.
Losing Power: when you loose all your power in the game two distinct sources of sound play, and worth noting. Firstly you are met with a long descending drone, mechanical and indicating to the playing that you have lost power as it sound like the shutting down a computer, all the fans and inner networks turning off. Silence is then used within this time zone, amplifying the suspense and anxiety of the player, as you either wait for the night to finish with clock tower chimes, or a jump scare of an animatronic. Both sound breaking the silence and are loud in contrast making it more impactful either option. But during this silent period or before it, usually a Music box plays with the flashing images of Freddy's face at your door. The Music, another example of juxtaposition between the sound of an infant's lullaby and a harsh hostile setting, a fourth coming death to the player. The song originates from the Toreador March from the opera, Carmen by George Bizet (1875) a triumphant sound piece of music, sounding like a victory has been won, which makes the situation even more tragic because of the player's impending doom (if they didn't survive the night.) All the player can do it just sit there, with no power, no actions to be taken, the suspense rises even more.
The Sound Palette overall in this game, helps and tricks the player with it's sound design effecting successfully how the player plays the game, whether failing their task or surviving the night. The creative decisions implemented into the sound, layering all sorts of effects to create ambience and immersion into the game world itself. Making the player believe their part of the game and their "life" is at risk, feeling genuine fear and suspense from the soundscape.

Perhaps Freddy never fully realized it when he hunted Mike down during those long, seemingly endless nights.
What a peculiar human the ex-guard happened to be.
The animatronic had met, observed, and trusted many people in his time of being active. He could dare to claim with confidence that he knew quite a lot of those who were of flesh and bone and not of wires and metal, he understood the heart and the soul. Possibly more than his creators might have intended even. However, to Freddy, there was something about this man now that was different from the rest he had saved in his memory banks. Mike was one he would have fully expected to run-and he didn't, to refuse, to perhaps even finish the job of dismantling him...to get revenge or justice for the torture the bear had put him through...for months, it was only fair, right?
But here his old rival was offering help to him.
It spurred a sense of respect through the robot's system.
"I w-won't h-hurt you..." Fazbear promised as he remained quite still as he could tell Mike was definitely frightened, terrified too. The man expected the bear to jump, to attack, to grab ahold...but even if the mechanical animal wanted to, he couldn't. The bear could barely keep himself upright as is, most of his weight was put into the brick wall beside him. As Freddy's eyes flashed a number of spastic colors suddenly, he tilted his head up, just barely. "...I-I am am-m an a-awfully...heav-vy ma-achin...e...and y-you...are not...f-fully f-functi-ional...e...either...I t-think...I c-can make i-it...h-hopefull...y." He stopped talking as a loud glitching noise came out of his damaged voicebox, parts of the Toreador March tune mixing in with the static and garbling, but a moment later the bear managed to speak again. "I...I w-will try...to keep...m-my we-ight...o-off of...you t-the...best I-I can...just...t-tell me...what-t to-o...do..."
There was another pause as the bear slowly looked down to the alleyway ground, his blue eyes finally returning.
"...Can-n y-ou...g-grab-b my...h-hat...M-Mike?"
Freddy had expected the former guard to run, it was logical.
Mike had every chance to make the distance, he was no longer trapped in the four walls of that musty, suffocating, security office. There were no cameras, no doors, no lights...just the alleyway and the outside, the man was no longer the prey. He was free. And yet...the fellow remained standing before the busted bear, asking what had happened since the shutdown....what had become of Freddy Fazbear?
"...I thoug-ght...I had-d it a-all...but..."
Why didn't this human try and finish the job...after everything?
"....A...a mirage...."
The animatronic replied through a garble of static, tilting his head with a hard jolt to stare curiously at his old foe, eyes flashing again. The bear began to creak and groan as he tried to move, it seemed the robot still had a fighting spirit as it looked like he was attempting to get back on his feet. "...I've...w-was-ste-ed my...life...a-away...s-sear-rching in th-e...dark..." Freddy was to his knees, just barely, and he raised a shaky paw and proceeded to point just beyond Mike. "P-arts...they wanted...u-us for parts-s...I couldn't...let-t it...happen...a-again. I-I tried...to-o keep th-them s-safe...but my f-friends...they-y took my-y f-friends...b-but...they couldn't take...me."
The bear's glitched gaze went to the concrete below, ears lowering, as he recalled the men that had damaged him so terribly. Men, who worked for the very company his name and face were plastered on. Shockers...batons...he had been backed up against the brick wall, but not before he had grabbed two heads and knocked them together and thrown another employee into a nearby dumpster. At some point, the order went from salvage to destroy...and that's when they ripped his fur, tore out his wires, and hit him hard against his head with enough force to crumble him to the ground. And when the animatronic remained in a tattered heap, he was left there...perhaps to rot.
Freddy still had some smarts, he practically played dead to avoid getting torn apart more. When the truck skirted off with his companions and the silence seeped into the air, the bear began to move in some desperate attempt to follow behind. But, he had barely made it a few feet within the alleyway.
He didn't know how long he'd actually last.
Bonnie...Chica...Foxy...gone.
"....N-now I'm...here-e...alone."

POV me & my buddy Syber just having finished playing "VTM: Shadows of New York" the continuation of "VTM: Coteries of New York" - WE ARE FEELING SO NORMAL ABOUT IT.
I adore these games so much. Like, I genuinely consider this series to be in my Top 10 of favorite games of all time... but MAN do both of their ending make me want to bite someone. And the irony of that is not lost on me.
I know that this is what the World of Darkness games are like. It's dark, happy endings for anyone are not really a thing - but don't get me wrong, I am 100% for all of the messy political mess around the Camarilla!
Still... here I sit with my buddy Syber, thinking of ways all this could've gone slightly differently, simply because several characters would've absolutely involved themselves more directly.
The Fledgeling's coterie consists of outsiders who take risks no one else would. This team wouldn't stop until they found them again and put a plan into motion to cut the blood bond the Fledgeling unfortunately has to the Harpy of New York.
Yes of course it's dangerous as fuck and they better fuckin' run *unless* this leads to Qadir becoming the new Prince - and honestly the man deserves it at this point - but look me in the eye and tell me that they wouldn't do this for their friend.
Every single one of them is gutted over the Fledgeling's disappearance. But none of them would resign themselves to just accepting that. Also, it is clear that several of them figured something out that is related to their friend's disappearance.
I know "VTM: Shadows of New York" hints at Agathon being dead, but I trust Tamika's judgement. If she says the man is just currently untraceable, I trust her. Everyone in the coterie know each other so well thanks to the Fledgeling, I feel.
I am looking at the Fledgeling's coterie and either they should all book it to LA or Chicago after the Harpy has been taken care of. After all, Arturo is just a 10th generation vampire. That's manageable for their very specialized team.
Plus... I'd add Julia from "VTM: Shadows of New York" to it, because she meets most of the coterie members (perhaps all, if you think about it) and I just know the Toreador Fledgeling Lamar would LOVE her.
I am rotating all these messy lovable vampire idiots in my brain so fast & you can expect more art to happen based on this for sure!
#vtm#vampire the masquerade#coteries of new york#shadows of new york#vtmcony#vtm cony#vtmsony#vtm sony#I have so many thoughts on how this would've gone if the team had more resources and time#on how everyone in the coterie would've gotten more involved in everything#how Lamar 100% got secured and saved by his friends#I don't care that VTM is a depressing setting#there are still losses everywhere#but so many of these folks deserved a better conclusion and inclusion#also if any of you want to send me asks on this topic#I'd be more than excited to go off#I have SO many thoughts!#newt's ramblings#long post

Just Little Ventrue Things ~
I finished a Camarilla Ventrue run of VTMB. Mostly, the only thing Ventrue these days know how to do is Dominate, run screaming, eat hot chip, and lie, and [high falsetto voice] here’s a list of other nonsense I discovered:
PC’s name is Christina; she’s a Dominatrix because I’m bi. Her sire was one of her clients, and she’s actually very, very angry about his death. She doesn’t mind being a vampire. She’s Wiccan and part of a coven
In this Camarilla run, I decided I would only do quests given by Camarilla members. My justification was that, while Christina is intelligent and curious about lore, she focuses on tasks that immediately relate to her and her goals. She’s not curious about others; won’t go out of her way to talk to them. She’s not a bleeding heart, like my other PCs, and she believes in the Camarilla’s laws. She just hates LaCroix for killing her sire. Her plan during the game is to curry as much favor within the Cam as possible and cozy up to LaCroix so she can stab him.
Enough backstory
Nonsense time
Smiling Jack laughs at you if you don’t eat a rat in the tutorial. LOL. The Ventrue dialog is like “I could barely choke down the homeless man: please don’t make me eat a rat!”
The blood in the Santa Monica haven’s fridge is now blue blood. Does regular blood make Ventrue sick? I was too scared to experiment.
[spots Mercurio] I am going to steal that ghoul
Rosa: The people you’re looking for are up there. Christina, assuming Rosa is a Cam agent: Okay, thanks, bye
Never spoke to the Thin-Bloods again (sorry Lily baby ;-;)
Everyone except Julius still leaves when the PC reaches Hollywood
If you try to feed on Julius, he WILL kick you in the head and you WILL glitch into the fire, be on fire; run away screaming in Prada
You can skip the whole basement of the Ocean House Hotel if you manage to jump over the hole in the staircase???? Like?? You mean the spookiest fucking level has been optional this whole time I”M
[ghost appears] [Christina smacks it with an axe] None of that.
Club girls speak to Christina and I’m on the FLOOR
Therese “kills” Jeanette, even though I had enough oompa to make that not happen.
Therese joins the Camarilla and says she’s in good position to be the next Prince??? Hello??? Where is our Prince Voerman ending????
Went straight to LaCroix, called him “sir,” and he name-dropped Napoleon.
LaCroix tells Christina to go visit the Anarchs. She blows the Anarchs off (Nines made a growly face, Damsel dialog yowl-exited out after I asked if she wanted to join the Cam; Skelter threatened to murder me twice). When LaCroix told Christina that, while he admired her Cam loyalty, she must listen to her enemies to understand what they wanted, it felt like he was actually being a good sire and mentor.
That’s weird.
When Christina asked for his history, he very carefully explained his lineage, like the important part of Ventrue culture it is.
Overall, I found LaCroix-being-nice-to-me extremely unsettling.
Sir. Stop smiling at me, sir. Stop being impressed I don’t ask for money. STOP MAKING ME UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE LIKE YOU, SIR.
In contrast, LaCroix sounded genuinely betrayed at the end
Also made it more obvious when he started to lose track of his marbles
Ventrue PC seems juuuuuuust tall enough for her forehead to glitch into the ceiling of literally any confined space
The dirty Elizabeth Dane policeman didn’t psspspspsp at Christina so the whole ship was 15 white-knuckled minutes of making police dance and scuttling about
There is!!! A lot less!!! Talking in this game!!! Than I remember!!! She is only good at talking and ordering people around i am bEGGING
All EXP goes to Dominate and making Christina extremely charismatic and buff.
Ventrue himbo????
Beckett un-himbo-ifies her
She insults Beckett on their first meeting, spitting out “What do you want, wolfie?!” I thought this was appropriate because she died like, 4 times on that warehouse mission and was Extremely Stressed And Under Duress
Beckett’s response of “Oh, you’re too young to have mouthed off to the truly old ones yet.” makes his later snide remark of “the young ones are so temperamental” 900% funnier. Yeah, LaCroix! Beckett thinks I’ve grown and am now more mature than you! XD
Missions involving sex workers hit different when you’re a sex worker.
Christina was incandescent with rage at the Brotherhood
Grout’s mansion mission was a lot of “I have no interest in this nonsense.”
For the first time ever, I didn’t kill anyone during the Museum quest! This is because Christina ran very fast and Dominated every guard as quickly as possible. Every single fucking guard knew she was there, but could do nothing about it, because they were dancing. The door to the sarcophagus locked (it will do this if too many guards are agro), but locked doors are no match for noclip hack.
Entertaining image of a tall woman absolutely blasting into this museum room and Beckett tackling her to the floor like wait! I must snark at you! You are legally obligated to speak with me!
Isaac is still somehow a pretty chill guy to work with if you’re Camarilla.
Christina didn’t visit VV or Ash. Interestingly, Ash didn’t show up at the hunter monastery later. Did he just die in his club? Is he still there, waiting, deciding?
Christina @ Andrei: what the fuck is this shit
“I don’t care. It’s ugly. Clean it up.”
SEWERS.
Not as bad as I was expecting
Did take shortcut, run away from fights, ducked out in the middle for a snack, and bring 7 blue blood packs tho
Gary threatened to shred her face with a cheese grater, which I thought was Toreador only dialog?? It must be connected to the Appearance Stat. Which Christina has maxed out.
When Heather became Christina’s ghoul, I was delighted because I thought this meant Christina would always have fresh blood.
No
If you ask to feed on her too soon after the last time, Heather says she feels light headed and wants to lie down. The dialog exits out
I love you, Heather bb
Perfected the art of nudging NPCs into corners
Mitnick’s quests now feature Enforced Nap Time for all guards
Seriously, Dominate is ridiculously powerful, hooooly shit. I get why people like it. I also like it when people do things I ask them to do.
Christina can’t sneak, but she CAN strongly encourage everyone to choke on their own tongues.
Very high contrast in the beginning of the game: 2 punches would knock her over, but anyone she spoke to would obey immediately and without question
Chinatown goes by ridiculously fast if you can’t sneak and don’t do any sidequests besides Mitnick’s.
For the first time ever, Zhao survived! This is because Christina made him take a nap.
He just told her to leave
You’re welcome, my good dude
IDK if it’s a game glitch, but Christina would vocalize? In battle, she grunts with effort and pain.
Got to the point where I kept expecting Dominate dialog in every interaction and would get disappointed if it didn’t show up. What do you mean I have to actually convince people? That’s lame.
Christina was polite and charming to Ming Xiao, who also conveyed a deeper betrayal than normal at the end. ;-;
I promise to give you a Ventrue boy toy soon, Xiao
Finale arc quests went by VERY FAST because Christina can’t sneak for shit. Just run in, Dominate blazing
You can skip the outside bit of the Hallowbrook Hotel if you find the open door on the top level what the fuuuuuuuuuCK
[“A Little Party Never Killed Nobody” plays while Christina wipes out the Sabbat in 10 minutes]
Andrei disappeared mid-fight and didn’t come back until I complained that only I was allowed to run away from boss fights
I’m categorizing “triggering the interaction to save Heather” as something quite difficult to do. The timing has to be just right. I’ve missed it twice now. BUT hacking into the game to save her is easy.
I love you, Heather bb
Final Beckett talk had the vibe of “You’re a very different person than me, but you’re also High Humanity and trying to do good. You don’t deserve to die.”
Damsel threatens to kick the shit out of Christina and is extremely reluctant to tell her where Nines is
“Out of all people, they send you? All right, let’s just talk terms.” - Nines because Christina was short with him one (1) time
WEREWOLF HARD
You can just?? Walk out of your haven?? Without speaking to Jack at all???
I didn’t do that
But I could have
[”Dust in the Wind” plays while Christina kills entire Camarilla hit squad in 3 minutes]
You can visit Mercurio and Trip on your way out of Santa Monica??
Mercurio makes no comment on the blood hunt. Business as usual with him. This is fine.
Christina: I’m SO going to adopt that ghoul. And perhaps Isaac can be convinced to part with Romero...
(For the first time ever, my PC boinked Romero. Twice, to receive the break up email)
This is definitely a glitch, but Christina brushed up against Caine, and a worried voice said, “Are you all right?” It sounded like the same voice actor, but a higher pitch?
Always nice to think about Caine demonstrating care
Christina asked Caine who he is, and Caine replied that he “gets people where they’re going. [He’s] a driver,” which is a nice nod (lol) to both his literal job as a driver and as a shepherd/creator/god to Kindred. Caine creates and makes fate.
Caine triple checks with Christina that she’s sure Strauss won’t betray her. Thanks, Vampire Dad. :’D
For some reason, only other Ventrue guarded LaCroix’s tower. I wonder if this is intentional. Like all the other Camarilla Clans backed Strauss and left? So only LaCroix’s Ventrue lackeys remain? Anyway, it created some weird moments where Christina fought her double.
KILL YOUR DOUBLE
Sheriff laughed in haughty joy that he was to kill Christina. I don’t remember him laughing in other playthroughs.
Christina ruining Caine and Jack’s prank oh noes

Sims Challenge Wednesday: Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines!
Hi all! We’re putting the usual Newcrest Adventures updates on pause for a week because I recently finished a little project I’ve been working on for a little while now -- doing Sims 4 challenges for two of my other favorite video games, Vampire: the Masquerade -- Bloodlines and Fallout 4! Yes, I’ve mentioned wanting to do this before on the blog, and now, finally, I’ve completed the initial drafts of each challenge! And I figured, who better to share them with than all of you. :) So let’s start off with the VTMB challenge!
(Oh, and note -- yeah, I just saw in the tags that someone’s actually come up with a VTMB-inspired Legacy challenge for The Sims 4. Mine’s a completely different one-generation challenge, but I am intrigued to see what’s going on with the Legacy version!)
VTMB SIMS 4 CHALLENGE
Premise: It all started out so well – a night out at the clubs, a flirtatious wink across the dance floor, a trip back to a seedy hotel room to get it on with your new partner. . .and then suddenly, in a mix of pain and pleasure, you find yourself lacking a heartbeat. And then some other people storm in, and you find out that:
A) you have been changed into a vampire
B) the person who changed you did not have permission to change you into a vampire
Your “sire” is put to death for disobeying the laws of the vampire underworld – but the rulers of your local city decide that you can be allowed to live. So long as you run a bunch of errands for them, of course. . .your only way out? Make some allies, make some money, gain a ton of power, and keep your head down until you can kick every one of these people’s asses personally. That is, if you (un)live that long. . .
This is a challenge loosely inspired by the experience of being the Fledgling PC in the video game Vampire: the Masquerade – Bloodlines. The goals are to become a Grand Master Vampire, graduate from a shitty apartment to a decent one, and defeat a bunch of other vampires in duels to prove yourself.
Packs required: Vampires, Get Together, City Living, Eco Lifestyle, Island Living, Cats & Dogs/Cottage Living
Your Sim: Create your “Fledgling” in CAS. Your Fledgling should be a Young Adult. You may start them out as a vampire to start the challenge immediately, or start them as a human, make a sire for them, then have them changed in-game to gain a few days to build skills and enjoy sunlight. (Remember that the sire must be killed after your Fledgling starts their change! I recommend locking them outside in the sunlight.) The challenge starts the moment the Sim transforms fully into a vampire.
Each Fledgling vampire in Bloodlines belongs to one of seven clans – Brujah (clan of rebels and brawlers), Gangrel (clan of loners and animal lovers), Malkavian (clan of mentally ill people and oracles), Nosferatu (clan of warped looks and computer specialists), Toreador (clan of lovers and artistes), Tremere (clan of magicians and scholars), or Venture (clan of leaders and those of rarefied tastes). Pick one clan for your Fledgling and assign them an appropriate personality trait –
Brujah – “Hot-Headed”
Gangrel – Either “Cat Lover,” “Dog Lover,” or “Animal Enthusiast”
Malkavian – “Erratic” (you may sub in a custom trait for mental illness if you have one)
Nosferatu – “Geek”
Toreador – Either “Art Lover” or “Music Lover”
Tremere – “Bookworm”
Ventrue – “Snob”
Optional: Also assign your Fledgling the “Kleptomaniac” trait as, in the original Bloodlines game, you do end up stealing a lot of stuff to sell to vendors for quick cash.
Optional: If you’re strictly following how vampires work in Bloodlines, leave your vampire’s Dark Form identical to their normal form except for their fangs (except if you’re playing a Nosferatu – then instead customize the Dark Form to look like their post-transformation Orlockian-self (think Straud’s Dark Form) and have the “regular” form be the disguise they wear around humans to fit in). However, if you really want to do a custom Dark Form, I’m not going to be the one to stop you.
Their World: Set up the rest of the save file according to the below guidelines:
Your fledgling must live in a terrible apartment in either San MyShuno or Evergreen Harbor. This apartment must have a low-quality bed, a low-quality kitchen, a small low-quality bathroom, a TV, and a desk with the cheapest laptop. It must also have at least the “Filthy” lot challenge. Upon moving there, set their starting money to $100 (this is the amount they got for expenses).
Make or download at least three or four other vampires (depending on if you want to use the premade Vladislaus Straud or not) and make sure that they live in nice apartments/houses and are at least Master rank (cheats are totally allowed for this). These vampires must all be part of the same club (your choice for the name), with one chosen as the leader – this is the club that “rules” over all the local vampires and is making sure your Fledgling doesn’t step out of line. Set them up to meet regularly either at one of their homes or at an appropriately-kicking nightclub. Club activities are at your discretion, though remember – if they’re in public, they shouldn’t break the Masquerade by showing off powers or drinking plasma!
Make one “Independent” vampire and set them up however you wish, though they must be at least Master rank as well. They may be important to your Fledgling later!
Make sure you have at least four nightclubs (obviously they don’t have to all be in the same world) for your Fledgling to visit on the regular.
Goals:
Your Fledgling is looking to complete the following:
Become a Grand Master vampire, with all the power and perks that entails
Complete the Master Vampire aspiration (they may work on other aspirations as well)
Earn at least $5,000 simoleons
Move into better digs (either a better apartment or their own house)
Defeat all the members of the ruling club of vampires in Vampiric Duels
Rules:
Your Fledgling is not allowed to get a normal job, as per the rules of the council. Your Fledgling is only allowed to earn money by selling items they have made or found (or swiped, if they have the right trait) to other Sims, or by doing Odd Jobs. Any Odd Jobs that your fledgling finds that come from the ruling council (that is, if you see their picture by the job description) must be prioritized.
Your Fledgling may drink from plasma packs both purchased and homemade, but cannot use plasma fruit while the challenge is ongoing. (This means no doing the Good Vampire aspiration until you’ve completed your goals!)
Your Fledgling may drink from Sims, but must not break the Masquerade in doing so. They must either isolate the Sim they choose to drink from and compel them for a drink; or they must isolate the Sim and flirt with them at least five times before asking for a drink (to make it seem like they’re asking to make out or woohoo instead of drink their plasma). Either way, they must not be seen feeding by other Sims. The Fledgling is allowed five slip-ups – after that, the challenge is failed and they are put to death.
Your Fledgling must get to know the ruling vampires – a friendly relationship, however, is very much not necessary. They are going to be battling them sooner or later for the right to live life on their own terms!
Your Fledgling must follow the rules of their clan when purchasing powers: All vampires may purchase the Garlic Immunity, Vampire Creation, and Child of the Moon powers. Brujah vampires may purchase the Detect Personality, Vampiric Strength, Vampiric Slumber, Supernatural Speed, and Influence Emotion powers. Gangrel vampires may purchase the Bat Form, Vampiric Strength, Vampiric Slumber, Dampened Emotions, and Beyond The Herd powers. Malkavian vampires may purchase the Cast Hallucination, Command, Irresistible Slumber, Deprive Needs, and Influence Emotion powers. Nosferatu vampires may purchase the Eternally Welcome, Vampiric Strength, Irresistible Slumber, Odorless, and Mist Form powers. Toreador vampires may purchase the Eternally Welcome, Vampiric Charm, Mesmerize, Supernatural Speed, and Influence Emotion powers. Tremere vampires may purchase the Occult Student, Command, Manipulate Life Spirit, Deprive Needs, and Immortal Pleasures powers. Ventrue vampires may purchase the Detect Personality, Command, Mesmerize, Dampened Emotions, and Beyond The Herd powers. No vampires may purchase the Sun Resistance or Tamed Thirst powers.
Your Fledgling must also follow the rules of their clan when it comes to weaknesses: All vampires must purchase the Withered Stomach weakness – human food is indigestible to them. Brujah vampires like to rebel and fight – they should get into a fight with another Sim at least once every three days. They may fight the ruling vampires, but it doesn’t count as “defeating” them until they do it in an official vampire duel. They are also encouraged to purchase the Sloppy Drinker or Insatiable Thirst weaknesses. Gangrel vampires prefer open spaces and animals to being around people – they should have at least one pet (probably a cat or dog, although if you think you can fit a chicken coop or animal shed into their final home. . .) and prioritize socializing with that pet over socializing with other Sims. They are also encouraged to purchase the Uncontrollable Hissing or Undead Aura weaknesses. Malkavian vampires must deal with their madness – they should indulge their whims as much as possible (no matter how little sense they make – hell, the less sense the better), and you’re encouraged to let them do their own thing as much as possible as well (full autonomy on, people!). They are also encouraged to purchase the Uncontrollable Hissing or Fitful Sleep weaknesses. Nosferatu vampires are all warped by their curse into visions of pure ugliness – they should stay in their Dark Form as much as possible and only “put on their human disguise” to go to a club – and even then, they can only “keep up the illusion” for four hours. Being seen on a community lot by a large group of mortals in your Dark Form is a Masquerade violation, so keep track of the time! They are also encouraged to purchase the Dayphobia or Undead Aura weaknesses. Toreador vampires are mesmerized easily by what they personally consider beautiful, and are also a little more sensitive to the fact that they’ve become undead monsters – they should spend as much money as they can on beautiful artwork for their homes every three days, and spend most of their time admiring lovely objects and/or Sims when they’re out and about. They are also encouraged to purchase the Guilty Drinker or Eternal Sadness weaknesses. Tremere vampires are insular and ill-trusted by other vampires, and are so focused on their scholarly pursuits they lack physical fitness – they should not bring any of their relationships with other vampires up above “Acquaintance” (barring the Independent, see below), and should not improve the Fitness skill (or any other physical sport-related skill) above 5. They are also encouraged to purchase the Sloppy Drinker or Dayphobia weaknesses. Ventrue vampires may only drink from certain kinds of people – they should pick a distinguishing feature (hair color, eye color, personality trait, etc) and then only drink from Sims with that trait. They may drink regular plasma packs, but cannot drink ones made from fish or frogs. They are also encouraged to purchase the Guilty Drinker or Insatiable Thirst weaknesses. Optional: Your Fledgling can take the Thin-Skinned weakness no matter their clan, but I actually wouldn’t recommend it – while it fits with the World of Darkness lore, your Fledgling is going to have to be active during the day for their Odd Jobs most likely. Basically, take that one at your own risk!
Your Fledgling may befriend your Independent vampire – in fact, this is encouraged, as the Independent vampire can teach them a new power! Upon becoming friends with the Independent vampire, your Fledgling may learn one “out-of-clan” power that does not conflict with any of their weaknesses.
Your Fledgling must visit a nightclub once every three days to socialize, dance, and generally pretend to be human. If they can find a way to make money at the club or discreetly feed, even better.
Your Fledgling must “officially” defeat all members of the ruling vampire club in Vampiric Duels in order to break their hold on their unlives. Once this is accomplished, they may get a Freelancer job or sell things direct from inventory instead of to other Sims to pay the bills, as they are no longer under the club’s thumb.
Optional Hard Mode – Four Factions: There’s not one club, there’s four – and none of them like each other! Make three extra clubs, each with at least four vampire members, to represent the four main factions of the original game – the Camarilla (the “official” vampire government, kind of stodgy), the Anarchs (rebellious and looking for more freedoms), the Sabbat (want to revel in their monstrous nature), and the Kuei-Jin (Asian “vampires” who are trying to take over the area; feel free to make them a different kind of occult altogether!). Your Fledgling may choose to join any one of these clubs, or none of them. If they join a club, they have to defeat the leaders plus one member of each of the other clubs in Vampiric Duels to earn their freedom; if they go Independent, they just have to take down all four leaders.
Optional Hard Mode – Limited Map: Your Fledgling can only travel between the worlds of Evergreen Harbor (Santa Monica), San MyShuno (Downtown L.A.), Del Sol Valley (Hollywood), and Mt. Komorebi (Chinatown – it’s the closest we’ve got, just stick to the more city-like neighborhood). Their initial bad apartment must be in Evergreen Harbor, and they must upgrade to one of the best apartments in San MyShuno.
Optional Hard Mode – The Sequel: Your Fledgling is actually the protagonist of the ever-in-production Bloodlines 2 – aka, they’re a Thin-Blood, and their Embrace was REALLY illegal. Adjust the rules as follows:
Thin-Bloods often don’t show signs of any clan, but they are generally hunted and killed just for existing. If you have StrangerVille, I would recommend the “Paranoid” personality trait, but otherwise, customize them as you see fit.
After buying their shitty apartment, you must set their starting funds to zero – they did not receive anything for expenses, because. . .
They’re not under the thumb of the ruling vampires, they’re on the run from them. To be caught is to be killed, so your Fledgling must avoid their notice. Do not attempt to interact with them before you’re powerful enough to take them on, and avoid any Odd Jobs that come from them. (They may still talk to the Independent vampire, who doesn’t care about the politics.)
Their lack of clan means they may choose from almost any of the available powers (aka, anything but Sun Resistance and Tamed Thirst), but must have double the points needed to buy them before they can purchase them (due to their weak vampire blood). They also cannot sire new vampires, so they cannot take Vampire Creation. Befriending the Independent vampire allows them to purchase one power for normal cost.
#sims 4#vtmb#sims challenge#vtmb sims 4 challenge#I'm reasonably happy with how this one came out#it worked a lot better when I stopped trying to match specific Bloodlines disciplines to Sims 4 powers#and decided to go with 'what feels right for each clan'#please remember this is my initial draft#this hasn't been playtested or anything yet#please feel free to tweak and make adjustments and whatnot#make it so it's playable for you#it's supposed to be fun after all :)#and I think it captures the main thrust of the game pretty well!#also yes figures I'd finally get this done just as someone makes a VTMB Legacy#though I am very curious to see how that works!#queued

what are some of your favourite classical pieces that you'd recommend?
ahhhhh, this is one of the loveliest asks i've ever gotten! fair warning, this might get long, and will yet still remain an entirely insufficient list as i will try and narrow it down to mostly pieces that are very dear to me <333
nocturne no. 2 in e-flat by chopin: this is one of the first, if not the first classical piece i ever consciously got attached to. i heard it for the first time nearly ten years ago and it had a massive, massive impact on me. i don't even know what it was or why, but it's been a piece of home to me ever since.
swan lake's moderato by tchaikovsky: it's the one from the top of the second act, yes the one. i know that is basic as hell, but i never cared much for any particular piece in this ballet until i worked on it. this was my most listened to song on spotify since early spring of 2019. the staging for this scene when i worked on this show basically made me cry every time. the moment the crescendo builds, the horns drop away and then come back in is so chilling. i think nothing gives me goosebumps like it.
gute nacht from die winterreise by franz schubert: i want to tattoo this entire song into my brain and my ears and just my self. it is the first number of a piano cycle based on german poet's wilhelm müller's winterreise, and it's just so enchanting. every word is so tenderly laced together and sung. "a stranger i arrived, hence a stranger i depart." unhinged me every time i heard it sung live.
them by niels frahm (for the victoria ost): can this be considered strictly classical? i can't say because the terms of what counts as classical are as narrow as they're wide. it's modern classic to me, or at least a more modern approach. i prefer piano over strings and this is a simple piece, but one that felt like coming home since i heard it in the film it belongs to and listened to nothing else the summer i graduated from high school. it's haunting and aching and perfect.
alzati la tuo figlio / eri tu che macchiavi quell'anima by verdi from un ballo in maschera: two arias sang back to back by the baritone role (renato) in this hell-scape of an opera. i do not fuck with the english version of this show. the first time i saw these scenes back to back i was struck dumb by the theatrics, the story-telling and the musicality. if these scenes are acted well, these arias can stick to your brain like glue.
dance of the knights from romeo and juliet by prokofiev: another no-brainer. this ballet isn't even my favorite, but especially the first part of this piece has a string section to die for (sorry romeo).
act ii pas de deux (andante maestoso) from the nutcracker by tchaikovsky: i love tchaikovsky. the nutcracker can feel like an endless rinse and repeat of romantic motifs stuck in a very sugary, very histrionic laundry machine made of kitsch (and bad tropes). this is the exception. i still cry through the last two minutes of this piece every time without fail (running gag at work lmao). it is perfect from start to finish, but the repeated motif that comes in at the 2 minute mark and last section elevates this from what could rival the dance of the sugar plum fairy to an unrivaled masterpiece to finish off this ballet. i could weep.
votre toast je peux vous le rendre from carmen by bizet: also known as the toreador song. i have a soft spot for baritones because i worked together with an amazing one for a few years. i love the grandeur of this number, the nonsensical need for a song based on that damn toreador metaphor all the way through. why is a story set in spain sung in french? it makes even less sense. laurent naouri sings one of the most well-known and best understood versions of this song.
bei männern, welche liebe fühlen from die zauberflöte by mozart: deserves a spot for the most out-of-the-box duet duo in a show and narrative maybe ever. these two characters do not need to interact on page, but the fact that this also makes no sense makes it so incredibly fun and charming to see. it's just easy to listen to and sounds gorgeous. maybe a bit more of a deep-cut from a show with a few uber famous songs (looking at you, queen of the night). once more baritone rights.
to be honest, i could go on and on and on. but to cap this off: most of the classical music i listen to is based in opera for work reasons (and because i just love ... voices idk i love words) but the classical artist i've listened to the most over the years is chopin. also maybe another recommendation in line with this blog: the vincenzo ost is based heavily on classical music and opera and has similar amount of theatrics as many classical pieces.
#i feel this list is bad and basic and somehow maybe not ....#idk i connect to music i listen to multiple times so many of these pieces are ones i listened to ...... MANY times for various reasons#ask#jeongmean

Already finished Coteries of New York, so on to Shadows of New York! I’ve seen the first bit in an LP, at least, but the bulk of the story will be new. This will have two playthroughs, one for each ending, since at least it has them XD First up - the ‘good’ ending!
Oh dang I like the music.
Julia is a bit on the edgy/cynical side XD
Yeah, she’s got a shit deal :-\ And what’s worse is that it’s all planned out.
Interesting note - at Lodestar, there were shadowy figures in the background, but you could rationalise it as people on the other side of the windows. On the train, you only see the shadowy features, and it’s otherwise empty, so no obvious figures casting them...
I guess if you choose the ‘don’t shoot’ option, Julia gets drained and it’s an early game over?
God that Embrace scene is intense. I got goosebumps!
Spirits, huh? Oh yeah, Obtenebration became Oblivion and is now connected with necromancy, IIRC?
I’m glad she had a good few nights XD;;
Valerie Duval, she was... the scourge in CoNY hunting down the Red Hook killer?
Nice to meet you, ‘Katherine Wiese’ XD
Cool ponytail, Qadir! I really dig the relationship between him and Julia, it’s fun. ‘sup Aisling, how’s Agathon? A blood hunt, really? Y O U. Okay yeah probably better for Julia’s long-term survival for Arturo to ignore her XD;; Samira’s so pretty. Ooh this guy is Hope’s sire, yeah?
“You wanted to hear about which member of New York City's Camarilla I dislike the most?"
"Yes?"
"Too bad. They're all my dear colleagues, and I deeply respect every single one of them."
"Sure you do. Wouldn't want to blurt out something that could lock you out of Mr Vanderweyden's legal services, would you, you ass-kisser?"
"I do expect to find myself in need of a good defense attorney when my broke, incompetent, and foul-mouthed assistant finally pushes me over the edge."
THEMST.
Benoit hi!! “Got any news about Sophie Langley?” *sharp intake of breath* Benoit backstory, that’s rad. I wonder if it’ll be uncovered in-game? Like we know Arturo is still around, Panhard is still around. Presumably Adelaide Davis is still around. Callihan... well, I know what happens to him. I think Torque ditches the scene before Sophie dies?
Father Leonard seems like a good sort. I wonder what his deal is?
Dakota is adorable. I’m going to do the ‘good’ end first even though I know it’ll make me feel horrible, but dangit, the ‘bad’ end is totally going to be my canon.
...Vin Diesel? XD
DING DONG THE DOUCHE IS DEAD. ...Deader than usual, I mean.
jfc Panhard that is pretentious as hell. Both the party description and the costume, actually XD Qadir’s mask is kind of funky. Oh my god Arturo you are a Toreador is that the best you can come up with?! Nice horns, Aisling.
...Thought, given their clans, Samira/Aisling could be interesting as hell.
Man, Arturo and Panhard must be pissed off XD Unless they’ve already picked their replacement stooge?
And here’s where the plot starts! Hey, isn’t that the priest’s house? Ohh, they’re meant to be meeting with Mia. I guess they’re just reusing assets.
“It’s a list of four names. ‘D’Angelo. Hope. Agathon. Tamika.’“ *SHARP INTAKE OF BREATH* Okay, that could be the list Sophie gave the fledgling. Which one did Callihan get it from?
Oh criminy Dakota don’t tell me you’re into that Q-Anon shit XD;; Ooh okay that makes more sense. Neat.
Ahhh man I was hoping to get a lead and instead Julia has to punish this poor fuck XD;; Yeesh. Okay, Bunny as a Reporter it is, then.
Almost run over by a limo, huh? *chinstroke*
Oooh this is the lead to Hope! Yeah, I’d say she has a connection with a Montgomery XD Wonder if she did end up eating her? Huh, contact used LeakyGutSyndrome... didn’t Hope end up having to retire that one, or was it the other one? Let’s just... Dominate this guy. Sorry dude it’s for your own good.
Agathon’s missing? :( Damn, he’s like one of the only decent Tremere. Oho, a diary! Oh sweetheart :( Oh, Silvia died :( Damn, interesting past, though... and a reference to CoNY again.
Fucking shadows, I literally glanced over my shoulder.
S C H E M E S. And yeah, looks like I’m on my way to the ‘good’ end :-\
Oh shit, Adelaide or.... whatshisname, Kaiser’s dude? Oooh man who to meet first... Kaiser’s dude. Oh. That was a bit anticlimactic XD
On to see Hope at Double Spiral. I think this is one of those choices that leads to one of the endings, so what’s more ruthless and Camarilla... busting in it is.
Nastya isn’t having a good night, is she XD;; Also Hope’s suit is badass.
...huh. Sounds like she’s actually managed to get shit sorted decently XD
Interesting... the coterie members were a list of heroes for hire that multiple people had, including Sophie. Well, that widens the scope a bit! Anonymous information broker, shall I assume that’s Kaiser? OH. No, it’s her sire!
“The story going around is, he left me alone and I hate his guts. Well, at least half of that is true.” Which half, though...
Aww man I wish I had saved some of those websites! I miss SciFiVine...
You know, I’m not 100% sure Carter’s the murderer (my main suspect is Arturo at this point tbh) but damn, the bit about Stern’s show kinda makes me want to slap him anyway XD;;
Queer Catholic blues, huh :-\
“Haven’t you noticed what’s going on in the news? People are going absolutely insane about this virus, cancelling trips and orders and --” Ahh. We’re in that 2020 XD;;
Okay the scene with the kid meeting his girlfriend was cute but then spooky time?? jfc was that the Abyss?!
Ooooh did she just find Tamika solely by accident? Thanks, Abyss XD I love how Julia’s first response is ‘shit, she’s hot’. And she took out a whole SI squad herself? Nice. Calebros mention! Huh, so the SI are maintaining the status quo... they became an issue because the Camarilla tried to sic them on the Anarchs and Sabbat and it backfired, maybe it actually succeeded here?
Ooh, a history with Torque. Neat. Also not sure with the art, but are those tattoos on Tamika’s arm, or fur? I mean, Gangrel beast marks and all.
Sorry Torque I’m just trying to get the ‘good’ end :(
Mention of the fledgling! Officially ‘disappeared’, that leaves it fairly ambiguous at this point.
Oof. The Circulatory System are... not cool. And yeah Julia’s just been called tf out, I do look forward to this scene in the ‘bad’ end XD;;
COVID strikes back. The Big Beat Burger is closed :( Charlie is sweet, at least! I hope his mom is okay.
Well that rat bit was weird. Hi D’Angelo! Oh my god blood doll rats? Drunk blood doll rats?! Still a damn good detective, though, that’s good shit. On to Kaiser and some answers! ...Yeah, okay, he’s a prime suspect too.
Kaiser, you are a deeply unpleasant person :-\
...good to know pepper spray still works. And, uh, probably satisfying to beat him up XD;; And yeah, there’s the last choice for the ‘good’ ending. Sorry dude.
...huh. Okay, I was at least partially right XD;; Oh Qadir, not you too :-\
Well that’s a bit... weird of Dakota, yes.
lmao oh Benoit you absolute mess. Religion as A E S T H E T I C XD I have a theory he’s from Michael’s line and I also quite sincerely believe that Michael would take one look at him and bitchslap him into the next millennium. He’s a Path follower, isn’t he?
Father Leonard is okay. I wonder who the ‘friend’ is?
This is very Agatha Christie, revealing the killer in the midst, except I have the horrible feeling Qadir’s going to go with ‘it was suicide’ and not ‘it was everyone’.
Denouement! Before it ends, Julia’s traits:
Loyal only to myself
Glass half-empty
A little abuse of power never hurt nobody
You can’t be a writer and not lie
The ends justify the means (duh)
Honestly she may have just blackmailed her way into power, set up Carter to take the fall, and sent poor Dakota to final death, but the drama was impeccable XD Good luck not ending up in the Abyss, Julia!

Inktober reflection, last days 25-31.
Here we go!
Inktober day 25: Auspex
I remembered that I like my portrait art and loose ink style. I let myself get that unfinished look and it felt good to do that. The brush strokes for her hair and the lighting on her nose are very well done. Need to watch the freckles...they are all a bit one toned and the same size. Spatter works better for this effect.
Inktober 26: Toreador
Composition of this is well done. The call back to the v20 character sheet was a nice touch. I did it earlier with the ghoul piece, but the personal touch of Eli's character with the thorns and lighting instruments is nice. My favorite detail is the slim white line that pops their head forward and keeps them from blending with the shadows.
Inktober 27: golconda
I think this one is a bit weak on composition and execution. I was going for the loneliness kindred may feel when they achieve this enlightenment. I think instead it reads more like a pious woman near prayer. Eh. Can't get em all.
Inktober Day 28: Prince
Okay this one was so fun. I adore a lot of the characters on vampblr. Moineau is one of them. And I love your guys reactions when I draw them. It brings me so much seratonin y'all don't even know. Composition is fantastic, but I got bogged down trying to find the right reference image for her. In reality, I should've just went for it. I am very happy with how this turned out, not happy with how long it took.
I'm also really proud of the details of her hair and dress. I love doing detail work, but it's critical for an artist to know when to say enough on a piece. I'm glad I kept working this, it's exceptional.
Inktober Day 29: Animalism
This one I got into some trouble with. It is fine to use reference images to assist your work. I got lazy and made this too similar to what I based this off of. It's important to make the piece your own. Granted, this is my style, and my techniques. But it is not my composition. And I'm very self critical about that.
Inktober Day 30: Final Death
This one was one of the ones I nailed. It's so cool and a wonderful showcase of different techniques. The story of this one is easy to read, but beautifully open to interpretation as to what happened.
Inktober Day 31: Yourself as A Vampire
First off, I wanna say that I really hope I don't become a vampire, I have enough issues that should probably be resolved with therapy. But. This was fun to work on. I always try to make the final piece something I spend a lot of time on and really finish strong. This self portrait is very accurate to my reference image and it's been a very long time since I've done a self portrait. I think it showcases the proper amount of smug that I try to keep in check...but fail frequently 😂
Since I spent more time on it, I was able to give more attention to details and layers. And it was worth it. The hair. Those tiny tiny highlights were a bitch to get right. The shadows on the brush are really well done. I think where I could have provided more details were the hands. They are a bit cartoony for the rest of the piece. And that came down to the lighting in the shot. I should've reprinted the reference after a level correction, to see the shadows and highlights a bit clearer.
Reflection:
When I first started this journey I wanted to learn how to replicate tim Bradstreet's work. Did I do that? Kinda. I mean this in a nice way but it's a brag. I can replicate any style given enough time and the right tools. I think I once got a grasp on how the man broke down his process, I began incorporating my own style and techniques. Which honestly, is way cooler. Rather than fully copying his work, I learned how to make it my own. And that's more important. I'll give a breakdown of how I do that in another post.
I thought the feeling would be way more joyous when I finished the 31st drawing. Instead I kinda felt myself dreading... Now what? I learned a lot of new techniques, reforged a love of loose ink styles and crosshatched shading, and learned how to utilize multiple references to create my own work. Now what?
Well, I have several projects that I think could benefit from this style. I intend to keep using these techniques both digitally and physically as I continue this journey as an artist. I aim to get a store running, where people can purchase my best pieces. And with a little luck...I'll get my work published. For now though, I'm resting. I'll keep you guys posted as I continue to create new art.
But lastly. Thank you all! Thank you for your continued support. Thank you for reblogging and commenting on it! Thank you for for your entertaining tags! It's been one of my favorite self motivated projects to work on. And it's been made even better because I got to share it with all of you. Here's to more of what we love and continued awesomeness. 🌹🦇🖤 ~Steph

NSaF: UCN character behavior
I feel like this counts as something that should upload here. It’s how every character in the fictional VR game Night Shift at Freddy’s: Ultimate Custom Night, a central aspect of my fic of the same name, behaves. It’s REALLY long, so I wouldn’t blame you for skipping this by scrolling all the way past it. EDIT: Added “Keep reading” so it doesn’t overwhelm your dashboard.
Classic Freddy: This is Freddy as he appeared in the original NSaF. He starts on the Show Stage. He approaches from either the West Hall or the East Hall. If he uses the West Hall, he plays the music box rendition of the Toreador March, giving you visible and audible warning to close the door, but you still have to use the Hall Lights to see him in the blind spot. If he approaches from the East Hall, he can pass through the Kitchen, where his song can be heard, go in the women’s restroom, and starts looping between the East Hall and the East Hall Corner. He does not show up in the East Door’s blind spot because he can somehow bypass it, and after a random amount of time (with a range of smaller numbers the higher the difficulty), he ruins the run.
Classic Bonnie: This is Bonnie as he appeared in the original NSaF. He starts on the Show Stage. He always approaches from the West Hall, then the West Hall Corner, and is visible in the West Door’s blind spot. He jumpscares the player the instant he gets into the Office. He shows up more often than Classic Chica, but doesn’t stay around a closed door as long.
Classic Chica: This is Chica as she appeared in the original NSaF. She starts on the Show Stage. She always approaches from the East Hall, then the East Hall Corner, and is visible with the Hall Lights in the blind spot of the East Door. If she gets in, she jumpscares the player instantly. She stays around a closed door longer than Classic Bonnie, but doesn’t show up as often.
Classic Foxy: He looks just like how he does in the original NSaF. This means that having the cameras on Pirate Cove makes him less likely to go after you, but he does not get aggressive if viewed too much. If he rushes to the Office, closing the West Door stops him but consumes 1% of power, though that goes up by 5% every time you stop him. He also moves on camera, which is not normal even though all of the characters in the cameras are rendered in real time.
Yellow Bear: Retroactively labeling his form the real one had at the time as “Classic Fredbear,” he functions a lot like in FNaF 1. You can adjust his AI level, which makes his appearances more frequent. How it works is that, every second, a number between 0 and 10,000 is picked. If that number is less than his current AI level, his poster will be summoned the next time the player looks at the West Hall Corner. Even if you see the poster and switch to another camera before closing the monitor, he still appears. He gives you a generous five seconds to flip the monitor back up to ward him off, but he disregards the doors. Getting jumpscared by him brings up the standard game over screen instead of crashing or freezing the game.
Spring Bonnie: Intact and not being worn or possessed by a serial killer, Spring Bonnie is in robot mode. He starts in the Backstage Area, goes into the Dining Area, and from there, randomly decides which way to take to get in. He takes all six ways before resetting, and any ways he hasn’t taken in the cycle are available. This makes him harder to predict, as he can come from the West Door, the East Door, the Office Hall, the Left Air Vent, or the Right Air Vent. To ward him off, close the Doors or Central Vent if he uses those, and put on the Freddy Mask when he is in the Office Hall or the Air Vent blind spots. When he uses the West Door, he goes to the Arcade Area, the West Hall, Party Room 3, the West Hall Corner, and finally shows up at the blind spot. When he uses the Left Air Vent, it starts like the West Door until he gets to Party Room 3, from where he goes to Party Room 1, the Left Air Vent, and then the blind spot of that vent. When he uses the East Door, he goes to Kids’ Cove, the East Hall, Party Room 4, the East Hall Corner, and then appears in the blind spot. When he uses the Right Air Vent, it is like the East Door until he gets to Party Room 4. From there, he goes to Party Room 2, the Right Air Vent, and appears in the blind spot. If he goes through the Central Vent, he is visible on just that camera after getting to the Dining Area. If he goes through the Office Hall, then he is visible with the light for the Office Hall. When he uses the Office Hall or the Air Vents (not the Central Vent, though), he acts like the Unwithered robots and Toy Freddy because he shows up in the Office, and the player has a fraction of a second to put the Freddy head on.
Toy Freddy: He starts on the Show Stage. From there, he moves to the Dining Area and then approaches the Office from the Office Hall. When he gets in, the player has only a fraction of a second to put on the Freddy Fazbear Head to fool him. This is like the Unwithered robots, and the VR developer notes that he made it that way because Toy Freddy was the first Toy robot made.
Toy Bonnie: He also starts on the Show Stage. He goes into the Dining Area, into the Office Hall, goes to the East Hall, takes a stop in Party Room 4, goes into Party Room 2 by going through the East Hall, goes into the Right Air Vent, and his final stop is in the blind spot of the Right Air Vent. Equipping the Freddy Fazbear Head at this point makes him slide in front of the player as the lights flash, then they go out briefly. When they come back, he is gone, having been warded off successfully.
Toy Chica: She starts on the Show Stage. She too goes into the Dining Area and Office Hall, but goes to the West Hall, takes a stop in Party Room 3, goes into Party Room 1, moves through the Left Air Vent, and her final stop is in the blind spot of the Left Air Vent. Unlike the actual final version of FNaF 2, she does a similar sliding effect to Toy Bonnie when the Freddy Fazbear Head is worn at this point. The lights go out as well, and they come back after she leaves.
Toy Foxy: Since they are not broken, they don’t emit the strange noise. They start in Kids’ Cove, go to the Arcade Area, the Office Hall, the West Hall, Party Room 3, are visible in the Dining Area, then the East Hall, Party Room 2, and they finally crawl through the Right Air Vent. When they are in the blind spot, the correct thing to do is to put the Freddy Fazbear Head on. This wards them off. If you don’t, they go into the Office and do not leave, killing the player at a random time between the tenth of a second that they enter the Office and one tenth of a second before 6 AM. Lethal jumpscares also stop the timer, preventing a situation where 6 AM comes before a jumpscare animation is finished.
Balloon Boy: He starts in the Arcade Area, goes into the West Hall, Party Room 3, Party Room 1, and tries to crawl through the Left Air Vent to get to the player. Like Toy Foxy, to ward him off, the Freddy Fazbear Head needs to be donned when he is in the blind spot. If the player succeeds, he somehow crawls the other way and restarts his cycle. If one fails to ward him off, he can be in the Office after the Monitor is raised and lowered while he is in the blind spot.He somehow disables the Air Vent Lights, the lights on the Monitor, the Office Hall Light, and the Door Lights. Fortunately, this isn’t permanent, lasting for 45 seconds (or an in-game hour), but he can leave you open to attack.
The Puppet: If the Music Box in the Kitchen is allowed to unwind, the Puppet activates and storms to the Office through the Central Vent. They are not fooled by the Freddy Fazbear Head, but you can see them in the hallway before they jumpscare you. The Music Box winds down faster at higher AI levels, and the Puppet attacks faster the higher their AI level is.
Unwithered Freddy: He starts in the Backstage Area, passed out drunk. When he gets up, he goes to the Dining Area, the West Hall, Party Room 3, then goes to the Office Hall, which he uses to enter the Office. When he gets in, the player has a fraction of a second to put on the Freddy Fazbear Head.
Unwithered Bonnie: He also starts in the Backstage Area, passed out drunk. When he gets up, he goes to the Dining Area, becomes visible in the Office Hall, goes to the West Hall, then into Party Room 1, from where he goes through the Left Air Vent to get into the Office. For some reason, he bypasses the blind spot of the Left Air Vent. When he enters, the player must put on the Freddy Fazbear Head within a fraction of a second or else they will lose the run to a jumpscare.
Unwithered Chica: She too starts in the Backstage Area, passed out drunk after mistaking alcoholic beverages for soda. When she starts moving, she goes to the Dining Area, Party Room 4, Party Room 2, and uses the Right Air Vent to enter the Office. When she is in the Office, the player has a fraction of a second to put on the Freddy Fazbear Head.
Unwithered Foxy: He starts in the Backstage Area but goes straight to the Office Hall. He is not fooled by the Freddy Fazbear Head, so the only way to stop him is to use the Office Hall Light. He attacks the instant he gets into the Office.
Golden Freddy: Despite the real one calling himself “Unwithered Fredbear” at this point, the official name for him in this game is Golden Freddy. At random when he is enabled, he can instantly appear floating in the Office, or in the Office Hall, where he appears as a giant floating head. In the Office, after he appears, he vanishes, only to jumpscare the player if they don’t counter him. When he is inside the Office, the player has a fraction of a second to put on the Freddy Fazbear Head to survive. When he is in the hallway, the Office Hall Light must be turned off, as he jumpscares the player if he is observed in the Office Hall for too long.
Candy the Cat: He starts on the Show Stage, goes into the Dining Area, the Arcade Area, then appears in the Office Hall, though he does not attack from there. Instead, he can show up in the West Hall or the East Hall. Taking the West Hall means he goes to Party Room 3, West Hall Corner, then the blind spot of the West Door. Taking the East Hall means he goes to Party Room 4, the East Hall Corner, then the blind spot of the East Door.
Cindy the Cat: She starts on the Show Stage, goes into the Dining Area, but goes to Kids’ Cove. From there, she goes to the East Hall, Party Room 4, the East Hall Corner, and then appears in the blind spot of the East Door.
Chester the Chimpanzee: He starts in Kids’ Cove, goes into the West Hall, Party Room 3, and can take one of two routes. In one, he goes to the West Hall Corner and then appears in the blind spot of the West Door. The other means he goes to Party Room 1, takes the Left Air Vent, and appears in the blind spot of that vent. The way to ward him off from here is to flash the Vent Light at him a lot.
The Penguin: He starts in the Dining Area, goes to Kids’ Cove, the East Hall, Party Room 4, the East Hall Corner, and enters the Office if the door is not closed on him. He forces the player to restart the monitor, the lights, the Central Vent shudder, and the doors, leaving them open to attack.
Blank the Robot: He starts in Kids’ Cove and acts in a similar way to Foxy. As he progresses through stages, he goes to the Dining Area, but when he becomes aggressive, he goes into the Central Vent and moves on camera. That has a glass cover with a metal shutter to protect it from the inside. A button closes it, but that consumes more power the longer it’s closed. If he breaks it with the wrench he’s holding (a reference to how the previous night guard in Five Nights at Candy’s smashed Blank with a wrench), he jumpscares the player. His eyes don’t glow, but he is in good condition.
Old Candy: He is the original design (which means he’s not damaged) in the rendering style of Five Nights at Candy’s Remastered. He first appears in the Backstage Area. From there, he goes to the Dining Area, the Arcade Area, the West Hall, the West Hall Corner, and ends up at the West Door’s blind spot. He can be seen with the lights, and his eyes don’t glow even though they’re in good condition.
RAT: He is in good condition here. He starts in the Backstage, from where he goes to the Dining Area, but his path splits here. In one path, he goes to the Arcade Area, the West Hall, Party Room 3, the West Hall Corner, and appears in the blind spot of the West Door. The other path has him go from the Dining Area to Kids’ Cove, followed by the East Hall, Party Room 4, the East Hall Corner, and finally appearing in the blind spot of the East Door. Which one he chooses is randomly decided, but he uses the other after being warded off. After both are used, random chance determines which one he will use. He tries to avoid being easy to see on the camera even when he’s in a room.
CAT: He is also in good condition here. He starts in the Backstage in a “cute” sleeping position with RAT. When he gets up, he too goes to the Dining Area and can split his path. One path has him go to the Arcade Area, West Hall, Party Room 3, but CAT goes to Party Room 1, takes the Left Air Vent, and is warded off by using the Freddy Fazbear Head while he’s in the blind spot of the vent. The other path has him go to Kids’ Cove, followed by the East Hall, Party Room 4, but then he goes to Party Room 2 and takes the Right Air Vent to get into the Office. To ward him off in this position, using the Freddy Fazbear Head while he’s in the blind spot is the right thing to do. He randomly decides which one to use, but always uses the other one afterward. Once both are used, random chance determines if he will alternate or if he will use the same strategy two times in a row.
Ballora: She starts in the Arcade Area, goes to the Dining Area, then to the East Hall, Party Room 3, Party Room 1, but goes to the East Hall Corner instead of the Right Air Vent. From the East Hall Corner, she appears in the East Door’s blind spot.
Minireenas: There are four of these. They are counted as one character. They start in the Arcade Area, go to the West Hall, Party Room 3, Party Room 1, the Left Air Vent, and are warded off by using the Freddy Fazbear Head when the four of them are in the blind spot in the vent. If you don’t do that, they get in and prevent you from using the Freddy Fazbear Head, Monitor, Air Vent Lights, Hall Lights, or the doors, keeping them at whatever state they were when they got in.
Circus Baby: She starts in the Arcade Area, but goes to the Dining Area and tries to get in through the Central Vent.
Bidybabs: There are two of these, but they are counted as one character. They start in the Arcade Area, go to the Dining Hall, Kids’ Cove, the East Hall, Party Room 4, the East Hall Corner, and bypass the blind spot of the East Door. If they get in, they blind you for several seconds, though all of the commands still work. The screen appears black while they blind you.
Funtime Freddy: He starts on the Funtime Stage, not having Bon-Bon due to that being redundant with Funtime Bonnie. From there, he goes to the Dining Area. He has four paths he can take from here. One path is to use the Office Hall to get in, which is countered with the Freddy Fazbear Head while he’s in the hall and visible with the Office Hall Light. Another is to use the Central Vent. The other two involve using the doors. Using the West Door means that he goes to the Arcade Area, the West Hall, Party Room 3, the West Hall Corner, but he gets in straight from that corner, bypassing that blind spot. Him being in the corner means that the player must close the door on him ASAP. Using the East Door means that he goes to Kids’ Cove, the East Hall, Party Room 4, the East Hall Corner, and he shows up in the East Door’s blind spot.
Funtime Bonnie: He starts on the Funtime Stage, using one specific fan design. He goes to Kids’ Cove, the Dining Area, the West Hall, and Party Room 3. From there, he can take two different directions. One is to go to Party Room 1 to use the Left Air Vent to get in. In that scenario, he is visible in the vent before he gets in, but once he gets in, the player has a fraction of a second to put on the Freddy Fazbear Head, or else they will get jumpscared. The other is to use the West Hall Corner to use the West Door to get in, bypassing the blind spot. From there, he uses the one he didn’t choose first upon being warded off. It’s randomly decided which one he will use upon both being used.
Funtime Chica: Using a slightly edited version of her official design (with the missing plate added back in), she starts on the Funtime Stage. She goes to Kids’ Cove, the East Hall, and Party Room 4. From there, she can either go to Party Room 2 to use the Right Air Vent (bypassing the blind spot in the Right Air Vent, forcing the player to put on the Freddy Fazbear Head a fraction of a second after she appears in the Office) or going to the East Hall Corner to use the East Door to get in, visible in the blind spot. She attacks as soon as she gets into the Office through the door.
Funtime Foxy: They start on the Funtime Stage. The player must view them on the Funtime Stage specifically to keep them from rushing them, but viewing them too much makes them aggressive. Due to this, they need to find that balance, which is more narrow the higher the AI setting. Being triggered makes them rush down the East Hall, visible on the camera, and the player must close the East Door. Doing this consumes 1% of the power at first, but consumes 5% more each time it happens.
Funtime Candy: He starts on the Funtime Stage, then goes to Kids’ Cove. From there, he can do one of two things. First, he can use the East Hall, go to Party Room 2, and use the Right Air Vent to get into the Office. The other way is to go to the Dining Area, the Arcade Area, the West Hall, then going to Party Room 1, from where he uses the Left Air Vent to get into the Office. Either way, he is visible in both blind spots, and once he is in the Office, the player has a fraction of a second to put on the Freddy Fazbear Head.
Funtime Cindy: She starts on the Funtime Stage. Once she leaves it, she goes to Kids’ Cove, the Dining Area, the Arcade Area, the West Hall, Party Room 3, Party Room 1, the Left Air Vent, and appears in the blind spot of the Left Air Vent.
Yenndo: The real one, who still insisted that his name was Fredbear, got the nickname “Yenndo” while in this form because that was what Michael Afton called him. He is summoned by a poster in the East Hall Corner. If you see his poster (which is never obscured by the robots), the player must switch to another camera quickly, otherwise Yenndo will be in the Office and kill them immediately.
Lolbit: When looking at any of the cameras, there is a rare chance that Lolbit will show up. When they do, the player must switch to another feed within two seconds. If they don’t, Lolbit will jumpscare the player in a similar style to FNaF VR: Help Wanted. The chance is that, every two seconds, a random number between 1 and 100 is chosen. If it is less than Lolbit’s AI level, they appear in the next camera the player changes to.
Ennard (Maskless): This is Ennard when they had nothing covering their endoskeleton head. They act like Toy Freddy in the official Ultimate Custom Night, staying in Parts/Service and playing a game while the others stay or leave. The game is Night Shift with Chipper’s Revenge, but it plays just like Five Nights with Mr. Hugs due to the three cameras and doors, with Chipper’s Revenge being on one of the cameras. If the screen says Game Over, this Ennard goes through the Office Hall to kill the night guard, and they are not deterred by the Office Hall Light or the Freddy Fazbear Head, though they can be seen with the former.
Ennard (Masked): This is Ennard when they have the mask they took from the Primary Control Module. They start in the Restrooms (because they don’t know which one to go into even though they don’t need to use it), go to the Dining Area, and can take any of the paths. They can use the Office Hall, the Air Vents, the Doors, or the Central Vent. If they use the Office Hall, then the Office Hall Light is the way to ward them off. If they use the Air Vents to either side, then the player must put on the Freddy Fazbear Head while they are in the blind spot. Regardless of which one they go to, after leaving the restrooms, they appear in the Dining Area, where they choose a path afterwards. If they use the Doors or Central Vent, they must be closed on them. When using the West Door or Left Air Vent, they appear in the Arcade Area, then the West Hall, then Party Room 3. If they use the West Door, they appear in the West Hall Corner, followed by the West Door’s blind spot. If they use the Left Air Vent, they appear in Party Room 1, the Left Air Vent, and the Left Air Vent’s blind spot. When using the East Door or the Right Air Vent, they appear in Kids’ Cove, the East Hall, then Party Room 4. If they use the East Door, they appear in the East Hall Corner, followed by the East Door’s blind spot. If they use the Right Air Vent, they appear in Party Room 2, the Right Air Vent, and the Right Air Vent’s blind spot.
Ennard (Suited): This is Ennard when they had the full suit. They act like Rockstar Foxy in the official UCN. They can be summoned with wires and eyes that hang and climb across the ceiling in a similar way to the parrot of Rockstar Foxy. They may help you by giving you a choice between gaining 2% power back, putting covers on all three vents (which break after one robot would have gone into the Office, but it prevents them from doing that; for the Central Vent, it does not break if the shutter is used to keep the player safe), or by using a temporary power supply for the doors and Central Vent (which prevents them from consuming building power as long as it’s going, but it lasts just 16 seconds if all three are closed) but they may also end your run in failure, but they are kind enough to warn the player before killing them. The higher the difficulty, the less they appear and the more likely they are to kill. But even at 0, where they appear the most often, they still have a small chance to kill you.
That is a lot of characters, though Scott’s Ultimate Custom Night has more, but mine has every robot and ghost in my series.

ANGST KAZUMAJI ANON AND WOOF. FUCK. GOTTA LISTEN TO THOSE SONGS AFTER WORK. EXCITED. Your idea though OW. I haven't seen Y6 yet (I watch playthroughs don't have the console and my computer laughs at me trying to run the games) the streamer thats playing it finally got to Y6 and I am Refusing To Watch It. My heart can't take even starting the VOD.
You’re welcome for the music cc:
A LOT of people haven’t seen 6 yet, so I did my best to get through that without spoilers ^^; Hope I haven’t ruined anything for you. And I feel that, my laptop and I have constant arguments and I’m not a good gamer anyway ^^; I should try Kiwami 1 someday though... I have it, I'm just Nervous about Being Bad ^^;
Nice, following one streamer, well done c: I just hopped around to different playthroughs on youtube ^^; My wife and I binged all 7 games in I think 2 months, max. ^^; She crazy tho and a bad influence on me xp She likes to just sit and binge things and I am, understandably, weak for my wife <3
6 isn’t so bad, I promise. You can do it c: It’s very pretty, you get to stare at Kiryu’s juicy ass the entire game, there’s lots of cute minigames of Kiryu with a baby, uh... *running out of nice things to say about 6* ...did I mention it’s very pretty? Fuck... Listen, I have... Feelings about game 6, but I don’t want to ruin it for anyone ^^; Everyone’s allowed to experience things in their own time and form their own opinions and I don’t want to deprive anyone of that. Please watch it and when you see it, feel free to come tell me about it c:
And as a reward for all that, another angsty idea:
The Nishikiyama Opera!
So I composed the entire thing on a car ride with my wife last week and it’s WILD. Y’all ever see opera? If you’ve never seen an opera you SHOULD, they’re fucking Great. Operas are all about being The Most, comedy or tragedy, they’re all horny as shit and everyone is extra as fuck. If you living for the drama, you HAVE to get your ass to an opera. I’m lucky enough to live somewhere with a relatively robust opera community. And anyway, my point is, The Nishikiyama story? RIPE for an opera adaptation!
First, you gotta know some of the opera tropes. There are two categories of opera, comedies which are kinda rare and tragedies which is... constantly. And operas are pretty good at telling you almost immediately which one they will be. There’s also a lot of meta about the voice parts themselves:
Soprano - heroine, ingenue, beautiful. Will win if this is a comedy, will die if this is a tragedy.
Alto - mothers & witches. Not the heroine. Will probably die regardless of comedy or tragedy. Unless she’s the villain, then she lives in a tragedy.
Tenor - hero. Given the sexiest parts to sing. Sometimes unbearable. Everything is about Him.
Baritone/Bass - fathers & villains. Gorgeous voice, never utilized properly.
Knowing the vocal parts and what they classically represent is key to knowing who will win and who will die in the opera. For example, in Carmen, Carmen is actually an alto, not a soprano, and Don Jose is a tenor. This immediately tells you that shit’s fucked. Tenors are supposed to fall in love with sopranos, never altos. So this story can only end in tragedy because he’s interested in the wrong kind of voice part. There’s even a counterpoint of a soprano who is madly in love with him, and the baritone toreador for Carmen. They’re given their proper voice partners, but Don Jose still pursues Carmen which is a ginormous mistake by operatic tropes.
So, opera education over, picture this:
ACT I Kiryu (soprano) is the loveliest yakuza in all the land! He’s just delightful. The Chorus sings his praises and he demonstrates his impeccable fighting ability. (Forgot to mention, any opera worth its salt has a Chorus and I will die on this hill.) The Audience is assured of his might and grace.
Kiryu, obviously, does not want for admirers, but has not chosen to court anyone formally.
Here enters Kiryu’s brother, Nishiki (bass). The Chorus explains that Nishiki is second to his brother in strength, but is formidable in his own right. Nishiki explains to the audience how he longs for Kiryu, how he covets him, his strength, his beauty. How after a lifetime together, affection has turned to love. Nishiki must have him.
Kiryu hears none of this. Nishiki approaches to make his case when Majima (tenor) sweeps onto the scene. Majima is brazen and glib. The Chorus tells us to beware his charming smile, he is as dangerous as he is flirtatious. Majima has heard of Kiryu’s reputation and calls him into the street to defend his title. Kiryu responds and they do battle.
In the midst of the battle, Majima finds himself won over by Kiryu’s skill and grace, his kindness and strength. Majima is bursting with love and there and then makes a proposal to Kiryu, offering his whole heart.
Kiryu is stunned. Majima is not a weak fighter, he is not a braggadocio, despite appearances. He was a real challenge and Kiryu was not expecting the fight to take this turn. He is so surprised he cannot make an answer and politely, but quickly, leaves.
Nishiki has been watching the entire time and finds his heart gripped by jealousy. He plots to claim Kiryu for himself and hates Majima bitterly, despite the fact that Kiryu has given no answer. Nishiki believes he knows his brother too well not to know that Kiryu returns his affections even if he won’t say. Nishiki leaves, concocting a plan.
We find Kiryu at his balcony, lamenting his situation. Majima may have been exciting, but Kiryu’s no fool. He has no proof that Majima’s feelings will not waver in time. Majima steals into the garden beneath Kiryu’s balcony and professes his love once more.
Kiryu is startled and makes to flee, but Majima sings so sweetly, entreats so gently, that Kiryu is compelled to stay. Majima doesn’t even ask again, just sings of his feelings. Kiryu, in his heart, is wooed by this. He may have been ready to answer when Nishiki interrupts. Majima quickly hides in the foliage.
Nishiki counters with his own confession, his own proposal. Kiryu is shocked and saddened. He begins to sadly tell his brother that he cannot accept. Nishiki flies into a rage, demanding if there is someone else, someone else Kiryu prefers. Kiryu hesitates, but answers honestly that he has always seen Nishiki as a brother, regardless of any other feelings. He cannot accept Nishiki on the grounds of their previous relationship.
Nishiki was expecting this. He reveals a vial of poison and threatens to drink it unless Kiryu will marry him. Majima gasps. Kiryu pleads with Nishiki not to be rash, but Nishiki only demands his answer, the vial nearly at his lips.
Kiryu swallows back tears and collapses to his knees. Sorrowfully, he agrees, unable to bear the responsibility of his brother’s death, and the act finishes to the sound of clamoring wedding bells.
ACT II The lights come up on Kiryu and Nishiki in their home. Nishiki is pacing the floor and making increasingly outlandish suggestions for things to do. Kiryu says yes to all of them, gently and politely. Nishiki’s frustration and annoyance increases with every yes. Eventually he snaps at Kiryu, demanding why he won’t fight him, demanding why he will give no more reaction than a placid yes. Kiryu shrugs helplessly and tries to soothe his brother, but Nishiki won’t be soothed.
They have been married less than a year and it has been like this the entire time, getting worse by the day. Nishiki can see the pain he’s causing his brother, but can’t stop himself. He loves him too greedily to stop. He departs, hoping to take his mind off things.
Kiryu is left alone in the house and sings a longer, sadder version of his lament from the balcony. Distantly, we hear strains of Majima’s love song, now broken and echoing.
The scene changes and we see Kiryu sat down in a busy cafe. At first we assume he’s alone, but people move and we can see he is sitting across from Majima. They do not touch. Their careful, polite space around each other is conspicuous.
Kiryu is tired, he looks wan, almost sick. Majima sings heartbrokenly, telling Kiryu he needs to take care of himself. He is desperate to take Kiryu away from all this, and asks several times, but Kiryu always sighs and shakes his head no. Majima knows Kiryu will not break his word once given, he is too good and honorable for that. But he cannot help singing for him all the same. He cannot touch, he will not permit himself to touch, but he can sing.
Kiryu eventually cannot take the heartache anymore and departs sorrowfully. Majima looks after him, just as sad. Nishiki is revealed to have been spying on them the entire time. He confronts Majima, furious and accusatory. He insists that he and Kiryu have been having an affair. Majima simply looks at him and shrugs. Nishiki screams for Majima to admit it, to admit that Kiryu loves him, has always loved him, this whole time. Majima only says that Nishiki knows Kiryu best. He will not confirm or deny anything Nishiki says. Shaken and stymied, Nishiki flees.
We return to Kiryu’s balcony, where he sits, silent and pale. Nishiki storms in and begins to berate Kiryu with his accusations. He is half-mad now, not seeming to hear Kiryu’s denials. Kiryu professes over and over that only Nishiki is his husband, that he loves only Nishiki. Nishiki cannot accept this as true. Nishiki screams that Kiryu ought to ask him for a divorce. Kiryu cannot claim to want a divorce. He gave his word. Nishiki reveals that he had been watching them in the cafe, that he knows all, the secret contents of Kiryu’s heart. Kiryu manages some resistance at last and asks Nishiki for proof. What proof of his indiscretions? What proof of adultery? What has Kiryu done that has angered his husband-brother so?
Nishiki has none. Kiryu has not done anything wrong, not in word, not in act. Whatever thoughts he might accuse Kiryu of having are ephemeral and will never be real. Still... Nishiki saw how they looked together and his heart was sore. He knows he has stolen Kiryu from what was rightfully his. Moved to regret, Nishiki withdraws the vial of poison again.
Kiryu gasps and tries to prevent his brother.
Nishiki swallows the poison quickly, insisting this will set things right, this will free his brother. He says he did it for love. He falls.
Kiryu collapses next to him, sobbing.
The final scene is Nishiki’s funeral. Kiryu kneels next to his brother’s grave, all in black. He sings of his regrets, of his sorrow. Majima stands close by, but still not touching. He does not look at the grave, only at Kiryu. His broken love song is the last thing we hear.
The End.

You closed your eyes tight in protest of the bright morning sunlight streaming through the window. Reaching for your phone, you squinted while trying to look at the time. It was already ten o’clock, they had let you sleep in. You were really going to miss their kind nature. Sitting up, you stretched and stood up slowly. Today’s agenda was going to talk to the Kim’s first. You weren’t sure what to expect so you were a tad apprehensive. Taking a hot shower, you ran over the speech in her head. You had planned on telling them you would be willing to work their part of the last two weeks, but honestly, was hoping they would let you take early leave. With Soon-yoo taking your place, maybe you could start earlier than planned. You made a mental note to call her before talking to Mr. and Mrs. Kim. Wrapping a towel around your damp hair, you got dressed. Business casual is what you opted for when meeting with the Kim family. You dialed Soon-yoo’s number as you walked to the car. She was more than happy to start early, excited to start a real job and start saving for her schooling. You told her you were thankful for being available on such short notice.
You soon arrived at the Kim’s apartment, body shaky as you rode the elevator to the top floor. Hesitating briefly, you gently knocked. Mr. Kim answered, a surprised look on his face when he saw you standing in his doorway.
“Y/N, what brings you here today? We weren’t expecting you this weekend. I was just talking to Mr. Kwon. He wanted to let me know that he was planning on offering you a full time position. I was just hanging up when you knocked.”
A little taken aback, you definitely hadn’t planned on him calling your employers on your behalf.
“I am sorry Mr. Kim, that is why I am here. I was coming to let you know that I will be taking the position with Mr. Kwon. If you need me to, I can work my last two weeks, but I wanted to let you know Soon-yoo is available immediately. I am willing to do whatever you choose.” You felt bad, breaking this to two families in as many days.
“Please, do not feel sorrowful. You need to do what your heart tells you. If you feel led to help him, then we cannot hold you back. Soon-yoo will work fine for us, she had been a help many times and she will fit right in. Please take this time and rest. We will pay you through the last two weeks so you may have some money available to prepare for your next journey. We will miss you but wish you the very best.”
Mr. Kim was always a very proper and wise man. Not one to show much outward affection, so you were caught off guard as he hugged you gently and quickly. It was over before you had time to react and hug back. He went to the kitchen to write a check while you packed up the few things from your room. There was less here than at the Choi’s, so you were finished quickly. Thanking him again, you walked out for a final time. You told him you would visit Mrs. Kim and the baby before starting the new position.
Stepping into the warm sunlight, you let tears fall freely. You really were going to miss all of them. They had been a part of your everyday life, a family of sorts. You didn’t know what the future held in working with Mr. Kwon, but hoped that they would become a family to you too. Loading your bags into the trunk with the other one, you set off to find a room for the next two weeks. You settled on the one you had been at just a few nights ago. Paying the little old woman at the desk, you took your stuff to the room. It was open and airy, windows pushed open to let sun and warm air flow in. You tried calling Ha-eun, but her line was busy. They must still be visiting Jeju Island, you thought to yourself. You had so much to tell her when she got back. You needed to talk to someone, yet had no one. You had no family and very few friends, as you hadn’t had time to make new ones. You were alone, and at this moment, you felt very alone.
JiYong set the staff to work, clearing out the largest guest room for you. It would be situated halfway between the children’s room and his. He could feel his heart racing, a bit of anxiety creeping in. He wanted to make you felt at home, comfortable, and happy. Mi-sun and Se-jun would be back tomorrow after lunch. He spoke to each of them regarding your coming to help him care for them. They seemed interested, but unsure if you would like them.
“Why wouldn’t she like you? She is going to love you both. No one can resist the cuteness that is Mi-sun and Se-jun! I know you will each make her feel welcomed. Just be yourselves and everything will be okay.” he kept his tone light and cheery, not wanting to say anything that would make them have any doubt. He already liked you and he knew they would warm up to you rather quickly.
He was sitting at his desk, staring at the laptop’s screen, when you called.
“Hello, Mr. Kwon? Are you busy by chance?” your voice barely above a whisper.
“Hello, Miss Y/N. No, I am not busy at the moment, What can I do for you?”
“Well you told me to let you know when I wanted to pick out the furniture. I was wondering if you could meet me to go shopping.” her words came out hesitantly, the nervousness audible.
“I would be happy to meet you. Do I need to pick you up, or shall I meet you there?” did he sound excited? He had to admit he was happy to hear from her.
“I can meet you, where would you like to start?”
“Do you know where Roche Bobois is? How about you meet me there in an hour?”
“Are you sure? That place is very expensive! I would be content with something from IKEA.”
He was willing to spend that much on a bedroom suit? He must have tons if he thought of that place first.
Your head swam with the thought of just how rich he could be if that was his first choice. You realized you didn’t know very much about Kwon JiYong. She was hoping that today would shed some light on him and what he did.
“I am not going to buy something that we have to put together, besides I have bought many things from Roche. So, I will see you there in one hour. Drive carefully Miss.” He hung up, heart still racing but not as anxious. You really had no idea who he really was and the type of power and money he had at his command. He ate a quick meal then showered. The warm water calmed his heart, giving him a chance to think about what he would show you and if you might need anything else. He remembered you stating that you didn’t have many clothes or essentials. He had to think of way to have you agree to buying some things for yourself. With a smile on his face, he climbed into the Bentley Continental, the leather seat heated from the sun. Starting the engine, it purred to life. He set the audio to play his playlist, the first song was Toreador Song from the opera Carmen. He sped effortlessly through the traffic, making it to Roche with a few minutes to spare. He parked in his CEO spot, taking the delivery elevator to the lobby floor. He had to make sure you didn’t know that he owned Roche, at least not yet. Walking through the store, staff greeted him with bowing and many welcomes. He told them to not pay attention to him, as he would be shopping with a guest today. You were not to be made aware of his ownership. Everyone agreed, returning to their respective departments.
He stepped out front, sitting at the bench as he awaited your arrival. You walked up wearing a light yellow sundress that waved in the light breeze. He stood as you approached, your smile contagious, and he returned it.
“Shall we, Miss Y/N?” his arm extended for you to lead the way.
“Please Mr. Kwon, call me Y/N or Y/N/N. Having you being so formal is a bit unsettling. You may be my employer, but you may drop the formalities.”
“Okay, Y/N, only if you agree to drop the Mr. Kwon and just call me JiYong or Ji. Is that a deal?” his grin grew to reach his ears.
“That would be fine JiYong. There, now I am feeling more welcomed already. So, shall we? Are you sure we can’t just go to IKEA?” a nervous giggle passed your lips.
“We will start here. I can help you pick something that suits you. You will be sleeping in the bed and staying in that room, so I want you to feel at home in something you like. Now follow me.”
As the both of you walked around the showroom, your mouth stayed agape as you looked at the finely detailed furniture. Beds inlaid with gold filigree, dressers with Mother-of-Pearl in the handles, and lamps made of pure crystal. You were boggled that he was willing to spend so much on a bedroom set. JiYong watched you, slight amused at your reactions. He didn’t want you to feel uncomfortable, but to just enjoy the experience.
“What style do you like in furniture? Any particular colors you like better than others? I can’t read your mind, so you need to help me out here.” Taking your hand, he turned you to look him in the eyes.
“I understand. As far as style, I have no idea. My bed sets have always been used or already in the rooms. I prefer Y/F/C but I also like Y/S/F/C. I guess I don’t really like girly-girl frilly, maybe more classic lines than curvy.”
“So you prefer traditional style to classic? Okay, that helps. You have never owned new furniture before? Well then I hope you enjoy this shopping spree. Let’s get started, over this way.” He grabbed your hand and led you towards the middle of the showroom. Rows and rows of beds set before you. The wood shined bright under the lights, nearly blinding you at times. You looked at every bed, hands running over the smooth detailed lines of the frame. When you turned around, the bed you wanted caught your eye. It was painted an antique white with your two favorite colors painted into the four posters. The canopy laid gently across the lattice work above the bed. Woven between the lattice work was ivy detailing carved from wood. The footboard had a built in dressing bench of solid wood, the carved ivy design wrapping around the edges. Entranced by its beautiful artwork, you walked to it, JiYong following close behind. You ran your fingers over the detailed carvings, dancing gingerly across wooden ivy leaves. He watched in awe, like a child seeing a toy for the first time. As a sale associate approached, he told her that he would take that bed, and have it delivered to his place later that day.
“You can get it that easily?” You were surprised that he didn’t even pay attention to the price tag. Taking a peak, you swayed slightly at seeing the price tag. It cost more than your used car. Ji-yong reached out in time to catch you, keeping you steady.
“How do you do that? I can’t even buy groceries without having to look at the cost. How can you just get it without looking?” you had a mixture of confusion and awe in your eyes.
“Y/N, just trust me when I say I don’t need to look at price tags. I’m not bragging, I just have no need to pay attention to that sort of thing usually.”
Nodding absently, you toyed with the belt around your waist. It took a few minutes to accept his statement and continue shopping. You settled on a small matching dresser and nightstand. Pleased with what you chose, he walked you outside. The sun was high, the warmth surrounding both of you. You turned your head upwards, letting the heat soak in.
“Are you hungry?”
“I am a little bit, but I can eat at the hostel later.” you had no idea what his plans were for the day and didn’t want to keep him from anything important.
“Why don’t we grab a quick bite, then go the the mall? I would like to supply your space with some things and I need you to pick them out.”
“JiYong, I don’t want to take up your time. We can do this another day if you have things to do.”
“I have no other plans today, so you are fine. Besides, I actually like shopping. Now, what would you like for lunch?”
After a few moments of deliberating, the two of you settled on Jungsik Dang, an upscale restaurant. You tried to argue, saying it was to expensive, but he told you it was his treat. You were seated immediately, a small table by the window overlooking Seoul. You glanced over the menu, settling on Branzino and a glass of white wine. After ordering, the waiter brought a bottle of white wine for JiYong to taste. Pouring two glasses, you were quickly left alone.
“So, do you mind me asking, what happened to your wrist?” you asked, hoping it wouldn’t upset him.
“Oh, this? It was me being stupid and not paying attention. That’s what I get for not getting good sleep, I guess.” a hint of a smile played across his lips.
Not wanting to press things any further, you nodded. Maybe he really was just exhausted and needed help in order to maintain his own sanity, and stability. You laughed to yourself as you imagined him walking around like a zombie and bumping into things. JiYong cocked his head, amusement and curiosity evident in his facial expression.
“What’s so funny?” he asked, curiosity in his tone.
“Oh, sorry, nothing. I just pictured you stumbling around from lack of sleep.” your cheeks once again blushing from letting him know your thoughts.
Lunch was shared over small talk about why you had decided to be a nanny instead of pursuing your chosen field of study. You talked about the kids and what their plans were after the summer was over. JiYong discussed what your role would be and what would be expected of you on a daily basis. He promised that you would have plenty of down time each week for yourself.
After lunch, they drove to the mall in comfortable silence. You wondered how you could feel so comfortable and at ease with someone you barely knew. He had an air about him that spoke of security and confidence. Before realizing it, you were parking and heading into the central hub of the mall. He told you were most of the stores were, letting you lead the way.
You walked through aisles of beautiful clothing, items with price tags you could not think of affording, ever. He watched as you would pick something up, hold it against your body, then put it back. He imagined the thoughts you were having, knowing your small savings was all you had to your name. When you would walk away, he would motion to a salesperson, have them take the item, and place it at the register. He would then rush to catch up with you and do the same thing over and over. As you would leave each store, he would find an excuse to step away and return to purchase the items to be delivered to his estate.
You did agree to purchase a few necessity items to have handy for your first days. By the time you had finished shopping, you had purchased a few new outfits and toiletry items. The both of you headed to his car, both showing signs of being tired. Yawning, you slid into the passenger seat, your head leaning back to rest on the headrest. After the short drive, they pulled up beside your car. You turned towards him before opening the door.
“Thank you so much for today. I had a lot of fun shopping. I hope I haven’t been too much trouble for you.”
“You haven’t been. I really did enjoy my time with you today. It actually was very relaxing.”
You set up a time for meeting the children tomorrow, at his estate. Once you were out of the car, you leaned down to talk to him through the window.
“Thank you again for a great time today. See you all tomorrow.” With that you walked to your car, JiYong watching to ensure you got in safely.
You spent the rest of the evening packing the things you had purchased. Looking at all you owned, you were saddened to realize you did not have very many possessions to your name. Beside the few items you had bought, all your belonging fit into a single large suitcase with some room still left over. After putting everything aside, you grabbed a book and sat down by the open window and began reading. Several hours later you woke up, book against your chest, and the moon hanging high in the night sky. Looking at the clock, you noticed it was already one a.m. Stretching your arms, you walked slowly to the pallet bed and crawled under the sheets. Rechecking the alarm, you pulled the covers up and fell fast asleep. Your dreams were filled with smiling brown and honey colored eyes and a tall lean-framed man standing beside you.
