I'm so in love with the idea of Sceleritas Fel not dying because he's actually some kinda ghostly butler forever bound to Durge or something so he's gonna be around for the rest of Lyall's life but the catch is that he can't act against her wishes so he's just very salty all the time about her non murderous lifestyle choices.

Lyall: pass me that axe will you?

Sceleritas: for murder I'm certain!

Lyall: haha no, Shadowheart asked me to get some extre firewood to get a big stew going

Shadowheart's parents are just kinda concerned at the beginning wondering why there's this weird little gremlin following their not yet daughter in law and calling her names. They later discover "wretched" "atrocious" "horrible" are just his way of complimenting her. They're no less confused.

Sceleritas: ah master! A gnoll! A fearsome servant for sure!

Lyall: nah he just needed a new home

Sceleritas: *this close 👌 to chewing on his hat*

Minthara tags along too and she's kinda annoyed she doesn't get a butler. He sorta meets Aylin and Isobel too eventually and Lyall has the mercy to keep the fact that he was the one asking her to kill Isobel a secret. Isobel has her suspicions. Karlach thinks it's the funniest fucking thing in the world.

Sceleritas cannot contain his glee when the party has to gather up once again to solve some shit. They may be doing it for good but there's bound to be bloodshed on the way.

Besides, his master finally seems happy.

when I want to write something self indulgent to give me all the angsty and cuddly hurt/comfort feels but I can't because I end up feeling guilty because I'm seeking after feels that I feel in an inappropriate place because my mom told me one time when I was 15 that I shouldn't search that out or it's probably sexual sin but it confuses me because ALL the feels happen that way for me even if it's entirely platonic and nonsexual and so I don't know if it's okay to want to write to that because apparently all pleasure of any sort, even over platonic stories, is sexual or comes with a possibly probably sexual feeling and I also am having a hard time figuring out what's genuine conviction from God and what's just my anxiety/OCD/perfectionism/fear of failure

He hardly recognizes what’s happening before Eddie is cradling his face between his palms, shushing him like a child.  “Buck, hey, look at me.” Eddie soothes him, brushing the dampness away. “Tell me what’s going on.” “‘M fine,” Buck lies, swiping his forearm across his face and trying to turn away so Eddie can’t see.

I just wanted to make a little post about this but (and this is all 'general' you, though I do as ever have my love in mind)

When you say - to a loved one, or otherwise, or a friend or anyone, really, but especially to those who love you - something like 'Oh ignore how I laugh' or something similar, consider that that might jsut be their favourite sound in the world. Or if you pick at your own perceived faults in any way at all, someone out there loves you for and because of them. I promise it's true.

Across the street from the posthouse, there's an anxious crowd gathered around the door of the largest building in the area.

I think, once again, it's probably Wyll who stops to pay any attention to this, because Rakha's quite preoccupied and also fairly overstimulated by the large number of people in the area.

Hanging around for a bit, though, they're able to quickly discern that the issue is that someone inside the big building - a temple of Ilmater, Jaheira explains - has been murdered. This crowd of people is refugees, people who sought help from the temple and are being turned away because of suspicion that one of them was responsible for the murder.

"We should see if we can help," Wyll suggests. "If these people can't get inside the city, at least we can get them as much help as we can out here."

Minthara sighs. "Truly? Must we perform yet another good deed before we may progress with our own business? Does it ease the weight of your horns yet, boy?"

(Lae'zel makes an irritated noise - partially because she agrees, and partially because it irks her to agree with Minthara against Rakha.)

Wyll glares at her - as does Rakha. "We will go in and ask," Rakha says curtly. "If we can help, so be it."

Jaheira looks up at the ornate stone building, then snorts softly. "A welcome change," she says. "The last time I entered a temple of Ilmater, we were making delivery of a human heart."

This effectively ends the moment of bickering, as all four of them turn and look at her with bemusement. Rakha blinks and Wyll lets out a soft, perplexed laugh. Lae'zel cocks her head to one side and Minthara scowls. "Elaborate," the drow demands.

Jaheira smiles blithely and begins walking up the stairs. "Let us see what the priests have to say, shall we?"

Ok listen. I made the playlist. I decided exactly what to put on it. I had a specific fic (that is determined to be written against my will) in mind when I added every single song. I did this months ago, and I'm only just now doing the Ben Affleck cigarette meme about it.
