Not really based on a single version per say, more that turtles have been deprived of social interaction for the majority of their life and I think texting them would be an very interesting experience lol

Ends up accidentally adopting the child of a victim from one of the cases he worked on. He didn't want to (or mean to, he just offered his home for the kid to stay for a night while they tried to find other family).

As Akechi gets used to the idea of having a child, he realizes how afraid he is of messing up. He knows how he turned out and he doesn't want to put any burdens or guilt or anything on this child that lost so much.

He doesn't quite realize how protective he's gotten either. He'll just be out grocery shopping with the kid and see someone talking to her, just light small talk to the child and he immediately has a fake smile plastered on and getting the stranger to leave.

As much as he tries not to spoil his... daughter (it takes him a while to come to terms with calling her that. His face was priceless when she called him "dad" the first time), she definitely developed her own princess-like nature from him and so he can't help but cave and get extra desserts if she asks nicely. That said, he still makes sure she does her chores and gets good grades.

School is another thing I can seem him reminding himself to be careful with. He always pushed himself to be the best in school so he could accomplish his goals. But she's a child. She should have a childhood. So while he does want her to have good grades to decide her own future, he also makes sure she's not too stressed and that her teachers aren't hard asses.

Yeah Akechi isn't letting her have a boyfriend (or partner in general) until she's twenty-six (and he ups the year each time she mentions it). He remembers what a jerk he was with all his pretending. And he also remembers how idiotic some of the Phantom Thieves were (not to mention Joker being a playboy) so he is not trusting her with any boys.

The door stays open if she brings girls or anyone else over just to make sure.

He honestly can't quite believe how attached he's gotten to his daughter though and how much things have changed. When she smiles or hugs him or even just sticks her tongue out because he was a smartass, it makes him happy. His smiles are more real and he finds himself enjoying being a father.

How did your talk with Daintt go? Did you ever speak to him?

It went about as well as you would expect. A lot of derailing, guilt-tripping, and talking in circles. I ended up getting such a bad headache afterward x3 I mean, it started with Dainty pretty much having a panic attack and having "flashbacks" because of trauma. Even tho, HE is the one that brought it up and HE is the one that wanted to talk in the first place. Like, why bring it up if you knew it was going to be that bad? I don't know what he expected.

I had to just end it. It wasn't going anywhere at all. Then when he asked if I could remove the posts questioning the inconsistencies of his SA stories, I said I wouldn't. I've gone down that road of mutually deleting a post, just for that person to end up making a "callout" post about me. And took my words completely out of context

So, he tried to frame it as if I was trying to force him to "relive his trauma" or that I was being abusive. I flat-out said that I did not want anyone to be dragged into his toxic behavior by showing the questionable parts of his abuse.

Does that mean all of it is false? No. I even said that to him more than once. He kept saying that I was trying to "teach him a lesson", which I kept saying no. It was a warning to others about him. He then called me a Karen and continued with making it seem like I was being an awful human being.

Now, I will admit I know very little about DID, but his alter had come out around the time he had that panic attack. Prime described himself to be very calm and he seemed very well-spoken. Up until the end where he lost his cool completely and insulted me. To which I responded: What happened to your alter being calm and posh?

He answered by blocking me. That might have been a smartass move, but it did make me wheeze.

I will admit that I was rather cold and blunt (again, sometimes a smartass) when talking to him. However, I told him in the beginning that I would be. I did not want emotions getting in-between what wad meant to be a serious discussion, which ended up being a waste of time.

He barely feels like a real person most of the time and does not really want to be a villain all of the time. But he will do what is necessary. He is on the anarchist route and trying to so he does not see himself entirely as a villain, but if the people need to see him as one to take him seriously then so be it. It's all an illusion anyways

“Bruh…” You give Soonyoung a look, before turning back to your physics homework. He lets out a whine, grasping your arm and shaking it. “Yn, please! You’re the only one who’s gone on a date-” 

“I don’t think the one with Vernon counts because we were only pretending to be on a date in order to spy on Joshua and Jeonghan.” Soonyoung squints at you, before continuing.

“If you love me, you’ll help teach me how to flirt with the cute cashier at the coffee shop.”

“I feel like that’s not my job, even if I do love you.” You respond, and Soonyoung whines even louder beside you. He rolls onto your kitchen floor, closing his eyes and letting out loud sighs to try and convince you. Shrugging, you go back to your science homework.

Soonyoung opens an eye to peek at you, only to be offended by the fact that you’re peacefully doing your homework as he lays on your floor in misery. He sits up, now shooting death glares at you. You turn and glance at him, letting out a chuckle.

“Oh? Sleeping beauty finally woke up from his beauty sleep on my kitchen floor?” Soonyoung reaches out and slaps your leg softly, making you giggle and kick his shoulder. 

“Let me do my homework and then I’ll help you, okay?” His expression turns from a pout to a big smile as he stands up off the floor. He wraps his arms around you, giving you a big hug. “Aye…”

“Thank you yn! I’ll be waiting on your couch!” Soonyoung sings cheerfully before skipping out of the kitchen and into your living room. You shake your head, chuckling at his antics, before going back to thermodynamics. 

“Okay, so what’s the first thing you know when it comes to flirting?” You ask, reaching over to the table to take a chip. Soonyoung lifts a hand to his chin, showing that he’s really thinking of what he knows in an attempt to impress you. “I know that nice guys don’t finish last.” 

You blink, before letting out a sigh and patting his back, “I’ll give you that.” 

“Anything else?” 

“If I knew anything else than I wouldn’t be sitting here asking you to help me.” You squint at Soonyoung, and he immediately changes his expression to one that doesn’t make him look like a smartass. 

“Ignoring that, but the first thing you wanna do is start off a conversation. You can either compliment them, mention how nice they look.” Soonyoung nods, his expression incredibly focused on every word you’re saying. You fight back a smile at how ridiculous he is before continuing.

“If they seem flattered and look as if they want to continue the conversation, then green means go. However, if they seem uncomfortable and not interested then back off Kwon Soonyoung.” You say with a glare, and your friend noticeably gulps nervously, making you grin at the power you hold. You lean back, straightening out your shirt. “Okay, that’s it.” 

“THAT’S IT?!” 

“That’s basically it. If green means go, then introduce yourself properly and get to know them. If they’re uninterested, then that’s it buddy. We must respect people.” Soonyoung nods his head, rubbing the back of his neck. 

“Can we practice?”

“Pardon?”

“Like,” Soonyoung turns to face you, grasping your hands and giving you an earnest look. “Can we pretend that you’re the girl from the coffee shop?” You let out a sigh, muttering how badly you’d rather not do that. Peeking over at him, you see him giving you the puppy dog eyes.

“God, fine. Stupid puppy dog eyes.” Soonyoung claps his hands in victory, before thinking of what to start off with. 

“Oh wait!” You raise an eyebrow at your friend, “Can I do pickup lines?” 

You stare at Soonyoung, pursing your lips as you realize that he truly has not flirted once. Yet for some reason, everyone in school has a huge ass crush on him. Letting out another sigh you answer, “Only if they’re creative and actually good. Let me hear some and I’ll tell you whether you can say it or not.”

Soonyoung pumps his arm in the air excitedly, flashing you a big smile. You softly grin back at him, finding that he looks best when he’s happy. He takes a deep breath, closing his eyes, before opening them and staring directly at you with a determined look on his face.

“Are you from Tenness-”

“No.” Soonyoung looks taken aback at your abrupt response, and you just shake your head at him. He lets out a breath, before trying again.

“Did you fall from heav-”

“No.” 

“Are you a parking ticket? Because you’ve got fine-”

“No.” 

“Yn! You have to let me get all the way through so that you can actually critique them properly.” Soonyoung whines, and you lean back onto the couch, letting out a sigh. “These are all gross, overdone, pickup lines that will absolutely not work. Give me unique ones.” 

Soonyoung thinks to himself, before sporting a big smile once again when he remembers one that he learned. He stands up and walks past the couch, before walking back towards you again.

“Do you believe in love at first sight?” You raise an eyebrow at him, and he grins when he realizes he finally found one you don’t know. He leans forward so that your noses are inches from each other, and you stare directly into his eyes.

“Or should I walk by again?”

“Or should I walk by again...” You say at the same time, Soonyoung trailing off, now a lot more discouraged. He leans back, now standing at his full height again, frowning at you. He thinks to himself again, and you grab the bowl of potato chips from the table, getting comfy when you realize he’s not going to give up anytime soon.

Soonyoung backtracks, looking at you with a hopeful look on his face, but you shake your head. “I mean absolutely not to the whole pickup line in general, not me answering it.” 

Soonyoung sighs, sitting down beside you on the couch, thinking even harder now. The two of you sit in silence, the sound of you chewing the potato chips filling the quiet void of your apartment as Soonyoung tries to remember the pickup lines he took two hours learning the day prior. He lets out a small, aha!, once he recalls a few other ones.

“My love for you is like diarrhea-”

“God, no. Absolutely not.” 

“We’re not socks, but I think we’d make a great pair.”

“Not bad.” Soonyoung grins, pumping the air in tiny font as he considers that a small victory before beginning again.

“It’s a good thing I have my library card, because I’m totally checking you out.”

“Jesus Christ, no Soonyoung.”

“Yeah! Did you like it?” You close your eyes, genuinely wondering how Soonyoung looked at all of these pickup lines and thought they were okay. 

“So, you are absolutely not doing pickup lines when you see the coffee shop girl next time. You’re going to compliment her like a good guy who does not use gross, overused pickup lines. Got it?” Soonyoung pouts at you, before nodding. 

“Alright, pretend I’m her. Try and win me over.” He purses his lips, covering his face with his hands once he starts to feel nervous. You smile, letting your head rest on your hand as you wait. Soonyoung finally looks into your eyes and gives you a grin.

“Hi, I just wanted to tell you that you’re really beautiful, and that your smile really brightens up my day. Whenever you smile at me, I feel like nothing could go wrong.” Soonyoung tells you honestly, causing you to break eye contact due to the warmth flooding your face. You rub the back of your neck, “That was good. T-that was really nice Soonie.” 

He gives you a smile, “Really?” 

You nod your head, standing up off your couch to signal that it’s time for you to get ready for bed. “Maybe you don’t need to add the last sentence though. The first one where you mention her smile is really sweet on its own.”

“Oh that wasn’t a compliment for her.” Soonyoung says, standing up as well and stretching his arms over his head. You raise an eyebrow at him, and he turns, giving you a soft smile. “It was for you.” 

Your eyes widen slightly, more heat rushing to your face and you look away again. Soonyoung grins, before wrapping his arms around you, cradling your head like he always does when he hugs you. You slowly wrap your arms around his waist, closing your eyes as you take in his comforting scent.

“Thank you for helping me yn, I’ll tell you how it goes tomorrow.” He pulls away, and you give him a small smile.

“Of course! You have to text me right after alright? Not a second late, I’ll be waiting.” Soonyoung laughs, putting his flannel on and giving you a thumbs up as the two of you walk out of your living room. He waves bye to you, and you smile and wave back. Once you hear the sound of your apartment door closing, your smile slowly drops from your face. You place a hand over your heart, feeling the wave of sadness finally hit you at full blast. 

“She’s one lucky girl to have you pining after her, Soonyoung.”

The beginning of TLT goes as it should but after Percy is claimed, Annabeth is suddenly meaner and colder.

He remembers the Poseidon/Athena rivalry but doesn't see why they have to hate each other bcuz of their parents.

But Annabeth doesnt relent.

They still go on the quest together bcuz "you are so going to fail without a daughter of Athena."

But they still argue a lot and give poor Grover a satyr migraine.

When they have that bonding moment on the truck, Percy thinks maybe they're sorta friends, but Annabeth proves that wrong later by calling him a "Seaweed Brain" bcuz he's so stupid.

Percy fires back with "Wise Girl" but Annabeth seems to take that as more of a compliment than an insult.

(He doesn't stop calling her that tho)

After Luke betrays Percy, Annabeth's the one that found him after the dryads and she drags him to the infirmary but completely denies caring about him afterwards.

By SoM, Percy is so done with this and goes over to her asking if they could be friends.

Annabeth, who actually would like to be his friend, agrees with reluctancy, saying, "We have to keep it a secret though, or who knows what our parents might do."

Percy agrees.

Grover knows they're friends now cuz of the empathy link, but doesn't say anything.

In TTC, when Annabeth falls off the cliff, he blames himself more than ever, bcuz if they hadn't been fake arguing she might not have been distracted and fallen.

Thalia blames him even more too, and he has to keep his cover and can't tell her he knows it's all his fault.

Nico asks if Annabeth is Percy's girlfriend.

He says no, but he has a funny feeling in his heart.

He goes to the attic to ask the Oracle about Annabeth.

It doesn't answer.

When he thinks Artemis is about to ask Annabeth to join the Hunters, he knows he has to tell her something, even if it meant blowing their cover.

He breathes a sigh of relief when Artemis asks Thalia, and Annabeth is waiting for him to talk with narrowed eyes as if trying to figure out what he wants to say.

He chokes. (~Like doesn't say his feelings, not actually choke lol~)

In BotL, they are totally going out on a secret unofficial movie date but ofc the fiasco with Kelli at Goode happens.

Annabeth gets really jealous when Rachel appears. (Especially since Rachel has more opportunity to go out with Percy bcuz Annabeth and Percy have to pretend to hate each other.)

Percy, ofc, does not realize why in Hades she's acting like she really hates him even though they're in private.

At camp, they're playing Capture the Flag when they stumble on an entrance to the Labyrinth.

They go down to hide from monsters and end up stuck.

It's so dark Annabeth grabs his hand to keep from being separating. (~this is canon, they were holding hands I checked~)

When they find their way back out, it appears almost an hour had gone by when they were sure they were down for a couple minutes.

The campers were searching for the two of them and are immediately suspicious when they find the two alone. Together.

But they forget about that when Clarisse comes and asks about the "hole" they fell into and Annabeth suggests they continue talking in private.

It is then that Annabeth, Percy, Grover, and Tyson go on their quest.

When Annabeth and Percy reach Mount St. Helens they are quickly found out.

Percy tells Annabeth to escape saying he has a plan. (He really doesn't)

She kisses him. (~whaaaaaaaat~)

When she leaves, Percy apparently decides to cause a volcano to erupt. (~ya he doez~)

He lands on Ogygia, while Annabeth, thinking he is dead, goes back to camp, alone.

When she returns, they ask where Percy, Grover, and Tyson are but she refuses to say anything.

They realize what happened.

They have a burning of the shroud ceremony where she doesn't say anything, sitting, her face emotionless, but her heart in turmoil as she listens to Chiron.

That's when Percy crashes the funeral.

Annabeth is outraged.

She pretends it's because "THE WHOLE QUEST IS BEING HELD UP BECAUSE OF YOU! AND WHAT WERE YOU DOING, ENJOYING A VACATION AT PARADISE ISLAND?!?!"

It's really because she was head over heels with worry and grief (while he's off with sOmE imMorTal gOdDeSs) but she can't let anyone know that.

She is certainly not happy when Rachel joins their quest.

(Percy still doesn't get it.)

Before TLO, they are playing Capture the Flag, and the two are on opposite sides. (~in The Demigod Files, the story they find Festus for the first time in~)

Annabeth and Silena capture Percy and Beckendorf and the boys suffer an utter loss. (Were the myrmekes part of the plan? They'll never know.)

Beckendorf and Silena totally know they like each other no matter how much Percy and Annabeth fake it and try to get one of them to ask each other to the Independence Day firework show.

Annabeth does end up asking Percy and they watch the fireworks secretly next to the woods so no one sees them.

They hold hands or something else just as cute idk.

In TLO, when the Battle of Manhattan starts, everyone is surprised when Annabeth let's Percy take the lead.

When she takes the blade for Percy she says it was bcuz "I didn't know it was him!"

"So you would take a blade for anyone if it wasn't Percy?"

"...yes."

But by this time everyone secretly ships Percabeth so no one questions it.

After the war, Percy gives up immortality mostly for her but only those two know it. (And maybe Grover).

Annabeth asks him to meet her in the woods and when he does, she brings him a lumpy blue-colored cake which Tyson helped make. (Bcuz of course Tyson knows that they're secretly friends but Grover told him not to tell anyone).

They kiss, duh.

But then a monster comes out from the woods and they don't want to fight it after they just had a war so they run.

They end up by the lake and Percy pulls Annabeth in to get away from the monster.

Cue best underwater kiss ever.

They date in secret for two months but Percy's mom knows.

When Percy goes missing, Annabeth freaks.

She searches for him everywhere and if anyone asks why she's searching so hard for someone she doesn't even like, she just replies, "He probably just disappeared bcuz it's his turn to do the camp chores and I will not let him slack off," or "Who else am I supposed to use for target practice???"

(None of the campers who'd been in the Titan war buy it.)

In SoN, the only thing Percy remembers is Annabeth, but for some reason, he has this instinct to not tell anyone about her so he doesn't.

In MoA she still judo flips him and acts all mad (which she is) but he still laughs it off and says all sarcastic, "Oh, did the smartass daughter of Athena miss me?"

But he missed her too.

When they go to eat lunch Annabeth and Percy excuse themselves to "go to the bathroom" but they really snuck off to have their own private reunion.

"I missed you so much, Seaweed Brain. Don't ever disappear like that again."

"I'm sorry, Wise Girl. I missed you too."

*kissing*

Later, when Annabeth and Percy sneak off to the Pegasi stables on the Argo II and sleep next to each other.

Frank finds them.

They swear they didn't do anything and threaten Frank into silence.

He can never look at them the same way again though.

When Annabeth has to get the Athena Parthenos, Percy paces the deck of the Argo but says he's not worried about a daughter of Athena.

When she finally gets the statue, he goes down to meet her but she trips and falls into the Pit.

He catches her, but now he's hanging on a ledge.

"Percy, let me go. You can't pull us both up." She whispers, knowing they're too low for the others to hear.

"We're staying together. You're not getting away from me. Never again." He whispers back.

"As long as we're together."

At least in Tartarus, they don't have to pretend they don't absolutely, utterly love each other.

In Blood of Olympus, Percy, Annabeth, and Piper are walking underground to the monster's base in the Parthenon when they see a trident mark in the ground.

Annabeth says it's the place where Poseidon struck the ground.

At this point, Percy turns to Piper and asks, "Can you keep a secret?"

Piper nods.

That's when Percy kisses Annabeth.

When he pulls away, he says, "This is where the rivalry ends….for us, at least."

Piper acts surprised but on the inside she is rAGING bcuz now Leo owes her ten bucks but she can't tell him.

After the Giant war they consider telling their friends, but they're not sure…

Sort of a bonus:

The Hephaestus and Athena cabins worked together to make everyone monster-proof phones (which also correct their dyslexia) and Annabeth and Percy use them all the time to text each other and no one knows.

Jason asks Percy to come to a cafe with some of the others, and Annabeth and Percy are texting the whole time.

Their convo goes something like this:

'hey Annabeth, me, Jason, Frank and some of the others r going to that cafe on 31st street'

'*Jason, Frank, some of the others and I' 'Really? Piper, Hazel, and I are going there too. They mentioned Jason, Frank, and Leo might be there, but not you.'

'weird, they didn't say anything about u either' 'hey wait a sec, Jason's texting on some gc called Operation Get Them Together' 'the other guys' phones r ringing everytime he sends something…'

'What? Operation Get Them Together???'

'yeah'

'....'

'what'

'Oh no.'

'what??? Annabeth????'

'They're trying to set us up.'

'wdym set us up'

'I MEAN, they're TRYING to get us TO GET TOGETHER'

To which Piper is the first to reply, saying, 'Nah, trust me, keep going with it'

At this point, they reach the cafe, and the boys and girls meet up at a table.

Annabeth, immediately going into acting mode, says, "What is he doing here?"

Percy fires back with a scowl and says, "You didn't tell me she was going to be here. I'm leaving."

Jason stops him tho

Percy and Annabeth sit down at the table, but everyone is still standing.

Piper and Hazel say they have to go to the bathroom and leave.

Jason and Leo say they're going to go order (even tho it's a sit down with a menu and order type of cafe???)

Everyone seems to have some kind of excuse to leave until Percy and Annabeth are left alone.

The two pull out their phones again.

'Seriously? This is their plan? Say we're all going out to eat and then leave the two of us alone?'

'ig' 'what do we do now'

'I don't know.' They're probably spying on us…'

'um is that Reyna, Hazel, and Calypso in the bushes with mud and green war paint on their faces?'

Reyna, Hazel, and Calypso were indeed hiding in the bushes (with binoculars) with mud and green war paint on their faces.

'Wtf?? How'd they do that so fast???' 'And is that Leo and Piper holding newspapers with eyeholes cut through???'

'lol yea...then that eagle flying above us is prolly Frank'

'Jason is hiding in the clouds to your six.'

'where r Nico and Will?'

'I think that's them making out in the bushes.'

Annabeth puts away her phone and stands up.

Percy follows her lead.

She says, "We know you guys are there, just come out. It's not going to work. And we see you too, Nico and Will."

The other demigods come out of their hiding spots (the two who had been called out looking especially sheepish).

"Why not?" Piper says, knowing perfectly well why not.

Percy looks between Annabeth and Piper, and seems to come to a decision.

"Because," he says and goes over to Annabeth and kisses her, "we're already together."

The responses were very diverse.

"What?!"

"I knew it!"

"Leo! My ten bucks. Now."

"Yeah, I walked in on them sleeping together…"

"So we did all this for nothing???"

"Wait, did you say sleeping together?"

They arguing stops as two flashes of light almost blind everyone and two gods appear.

Poseidon and Athena.

For several seconds, the two gods just stare at Percy and Annabeth (who are now holding hands just bcuz)

Then, finally, after what seemed and EXCRUCIATINGLY long time, Poseidon turns to Athena and says:

"I was right, you were wrong, I was RIGHT, you were WRONG, I WAS RIGHT, YOU WERE WRONG, YOU OWE ME FIFTY DRACHMAS BIRD BRAIN"

This was not the reaction the demigods was expecting if you couldn't tell

Athena just scowls and makes a pouch filled with drachmas appear, and throws it at Poseidon.

Poseidon catches it, bringing out what appears to be a phone and starts calling someone.

Athena goes over to Percy and Annabeth.

She looks mad, and Annabeth tries to let go of Percy's hand, panicking, trying to think of a lie, but Percy doesn't let go.

"My daughter is the smartest and best of my children, and as much as I don't approve of this, if she chose you, sea-spawn, she must have a good reason. But if you step one foot out of line, I will have you punished, understood?"

Athena addresses this to Percy, who nods fearfully.

"Good."

Suddenly there are a bunch more flashes of light as more gods appear bcuz apparently, Poseidon wanted everyone to see that he was right and Athena was wrong.

Ofc chaos ensues.

But Percy and Annabeth are still holding hands and look at each other and feel overwhelmingly happy for the first time in a long time because now they don't have to keep their relationship a secret anymore.

Chapter 9, Part 1

Ahhhh...poor son of a bitch.

1. Heyyyyy, green tape

Hmmmn, Koogi seems to use green a lot...is that just more common a color for duct tape in Korea? But thing is, her main outfit for Bum is green tones. And he likes froggies, which are green. 

Also, we never do see Sangwoo use this tape with CEO daughter girl (just ropes, a cloth for her mouth, and this weird metal thing to cover her eyes). Or with Bum, for that matter (I only saw it so far used with Koogi’s illustrations, which are a different matter altogether...I might be mistaken, I won’t skip to that part, but Sangwoo might have used it on Bum in the last chapters, which could signify how far his mentality has deteriorated). 

But this guy is different. Sangwoo has no emotional attachment to him.  The duct tape could be, in a way, signifying how worthless this person is to Sangwoo. That he’s nothing more than a box full of unsavory memories he would rather tape shut forever and throw away to rot.

2. Ooohp. Bastard’s bringing out his iconic apron

But this is something new that we haven’t seen before. Again, Sangwoo has never once wore this with Bum. So that means Sangwoo truly has no intentions of going easy on this guy. Blood is going to be pretty much spurting every-the-fuck-where. 

So even though Sangwoo doesn’t consciously plan to kill someone, he has his habits and ideas down to a pat so that once he does get into that territory, he can more or less get right down to it. Sangwoo seems to do what he can to ‘separate’ himself from his atrocious acts, but also fulfilling an ‘aesthetic’ that fits with the atrocity he has become. 

Like, that apron.  Too risky to wear regular clothes, so apron is the next best thing and can act as a barrier of some sort once the blood goes flying. It’ll reduce how much splatters onto his skin and how much of his body he has to actually clean. It’s also just keep things less gross and more sanitary that way lol.

3. I am the type to find this funny and really be amused by Sangwoo’s smartass-ness

I suck at being a smartass and I can’t do it, so I really appreciate it whenever someone else can, even if it’s mean lol. But if it’s mean, it’s a guilty pleasure for me, like right now. x’D

4. Honestly, Sangwoo, how did you get yourself into this situation...

Oh!  So he was able to get out of the blow job. Nice. The guy was actually respectful. If Sangwoo were sane, he’d understand this and just run away instead of luring this guy in to kill him. 

But, really, why did Sangwoo put himself into this position?  I don’t have anything foolproof as evidence, but I really don’t think Sangwoo is the type who actually needs to kill at specific intervals as an outlet.

If anything, Sangwoo has a more...instinctual response to sexual situations, like Bum. For Bum, he becomes hyper-aroused and zeroes in on the pleasure to a point that it overrides his more logical line of thinking. The “he’s a killer I should be scared” becomes “it feels so good and nothing else can exist but this pleasure”.

For Sangwoo, he has two modes. The first one is passive, where he’s just following his partner’s whims and saying that he’s enjoying things but he’s actually just powerless to resist. It’s his instinctual reaction after being forced to just...take his mom’s advances. He feels empty, like a doll that is just meant to be used and taken for pleasure. It’s no better than being a corpse that is fulfilling another’s necrophilic tendencies.

The second mode, I believe, came to be as a self-defense mechanism to the first mode. In order to avoid ever feeling like that, he is in control of everything. He has complete dominance over his partner. In a way, the extreme violence is the only way he can genuinely feel pleasure because he’s ‘safe’. He can literally go one way or the other, his trauma has made it impossible for him to have any other mode than ‘docile’ or ‘predator’. 

5. Well, even without the possibility of murdering someone, Sangwoo choosing an alias is no surprise

He did go into a gay bar, lol.

I also find it interesting that this is where we get a look into Bum’s thoughts. And it’s regarding Sangwoo’s alias. 

Also, now I am wondering if Sangwoo ever resorted to using aliases with his other prey. Because if he had, then this does add a whole other layer of premeditation to his serial killing. Even if he’s not purposefully scouting for prey, it would at least mean he’s always prepared in the event that he comes across prey. 

That is what makes Jieun such an outlier and also Sangwoo’s downfall in terms of getting caught. Jieun knows Sangwoo personally. There is a connection between them. And her disappearance could easily be traced back to him. Sangwoo isn’t an idiot. He knows how to pick and choose his prey and he probably makes sure to never make it so that the prey can call him by name. 

That is also what makes Bum such an interesting outlier. Because Sangwoo is risking A LOT just to keep him--someone who knows Sangwoo’s real name and actually has witnessed his personal life, both in the outside world and behind closed doors. Sangwoo chose him over the girl. Sangwoo broke his legs, not only to keep Bum from escaping, but to keep Bum with him. 

This does suggest that Sangwoo is not serial killing for the thrill of it (at least, not just for that), but because he’s in search for something that could replace the kills. Sangwoo doesn’t want a pile of dead bodies under his feet--he wants one alive body to stay by his side and love him, in spite of those dead bodies. 

6. ....cute motherfucker

Koogi, I resent you so much for making him this cute...

Honestly though, it just strikes me how Sangwoo keeps trying to keep on a carefree and happy facade even during times like these. We do later see him doing that as a habit as a child, so it fits that he does that on steroids during his adult years, especially considering the things he does. I’ll refer back to this when we get to Jieun’s death scene.

7. Shows of weakness

Ah damn I’m going to have to revisit this part. I have a lot of thoughts on it, but I’m too sleep deprived to actually make sense of it. But this part is important in understanding Sangwoo’s mentality and the ways he tries to train Bum to fit a certain image.

Aaaaaand today is a new day!!  So going forth:

During the times Bum showed fear and was trembling, I do think a major part of why Sangwoo hates it so much is because it reminds him of how much of a monster he is. But I also think it’s because it reminds him of his mom, which he does say about Bum’s trembling. Because no matter what happened to his mom, she never learned her lesson. If she were able to change, then Sangwoo’s childhood would be less painful. 

But Bum being quiet and looking scared, but still able to meet Sangwoo’s eyes...that reminds Sangwoo of what he was while with his parents. And even though Sangwoo does hate himself--to a point where he doesn’t want to change because he has no belief he can be better--I do think he’s grieving for that child who had no clue that things will just get worse and worse from there. 

Especially since, from what I’m assuming, he knew how to manipulate his image so that he could avoid being beaten and locked up like his mother. So he would hold more respect towards his conditioned response versus his mother’s conditioned response. He probably refused to admit to himself how he felt back then, because obviously that’s a cruel thought to have and Sangwoo’s level of empathy was still average to high at the time. But it still doesn’t erase his resentment towards her inability to be better (I think this also contributed to why Sangwoo presumably felt ‘free’ after his first kill).

I think I’ll have a better grasp over my thoughts once we get to Jieun’s death >_< 

8. *opens mouth, then silently closes it*

That first sentence probably is not meant to sound the way Sangwoo makes it sound. xD  Which is a bit too gay for someone who firmly claims he is wholly hetero.

Oh actually this is funny. Since the only other person in the basement is a guy, the card dude probably thinks Sangwoo really is gay or internalized-antigay or something. But the truth is a lot more complex and sinister than what it appears to be on the surface.

9. Ooooooh, high stakes indeed

Lol, this does drive home the idea to me that Sangwoo is really pissed at Bum. Because, again, he would’ve never went to that gay bar had it not been for Bum. So, in a way, even though Sangwoo internally knows Bum isn’t the one going out in a body bag, this instillation of fear is a punishment for making him question his sexuality in a way that triggered Sangwoo’s trauma. Because there is literally no safe way for Sangwoo to explore his sexuality considering his past and his current lifestyle.

On the other end of the spectrum, I wonder how Bum is feeling about this. He probably genuinely believes that Sangwoo is genuinely putting Bum’s life on the line, in a way that if he fails the card game, he’ll die. Like. I definitely would. No matter what past form of affection Sangwoo showed, if he says he’ll kill me, I would full-heartedly be like “Yeah. Yeah, I don’t doubt you, hun.”

And, still, Bum knows better now than to complain or beg. Because unlike his mother, despite his own mental issues, Bum can be trained and that is why Sangwoo keeps him around.

10. Where do you come up with these things, you bastard

I mean, seriously, he has so many ideas on how to break a person. These are more psychopathic than sociopathic tendencies, I think, so that’s why Sangwoo right now, is a high-functioning sociopath.

11. Oh my fkkn god tho, this smart boi XD

Or maybe I’m just dumb and have no clue how to play cards. 

Or maybe Sangwoo has been spending time with Bum playing cards.

Or maybe Bum is just good at cards and has spent his time practicing them.

Either way, the fact that Bum is able to fkkn pay attention during these times shows that his own trauma and mental issues have no bearing on how smart he actually is. He doesn’t have strong observation skills and is slow to understand people, but that’s more of a natural character trait, even if it is more emphasized by his mental disorders...mmmn, I do kinda wonder if Bum could have some traits shared with autism but I’m too neruotypical and untrained to say whether or not he does.

12. No seriously, we have creative Sangwoo here with this card game from hell...

...Then we have Bum here able to pull out logical conclusions like his mind is clear despite the immense anxiety and pressure of the situation. There’s a reason why Bum is still alive. For some reason, the longer Bum is stuck in his situation, the more

14. It probably doesn’t mean much, but I still can’t help but point out how Sangwoo is making sure to be close to Card!dude and facing Bum

This would be the most logical choice since it will ensure his victim doesn’t try to escape. And even if he does, he can quickly do shit like pulling back his hair if he tries to be ‘bratty’. Also, being behind someone like this is meant to represent a menacing appearance and being the ‘controller’ behind the scenes. Sangwoo has the upperhand since card!dude can’t see him and Sangwoo can do whatever he wants to the guy. 

But this also puts Sangwoo and Bum on more equal ground. Sort of like “partners in crime” because they can face each other and communicate via body language. In a way, Sangwoo can help Bum or make Bum do things, influencing his next move. While, at the same time, keeping a literal eye on Bum but without the upperhand he has on card!dude--because Bum can also keep an eye out on him. 

15. I’d probably laugh if I were Sangwoo too lol

I bet you Sangwoo didn’t expect Bum to actually get the goddamn ace. The fact that Bum is this fkkn lucky is indicative of how Bum is lucky enough to even be alive at this point. Bum has been able to avoid his ‘fate of death’ over and over again that, honestly, the sheer disbelief of it is ridiculous. But it’s also like Sangwoo is saying ‘Of course you’d get the goddamn ace. Of course you would, you little shit, why am I even still surprised by you at this point’.

In a way, Sangwoo might also be thinking that ‘Huh, it’s like I meant to mess with the cards so that’d they be in your favor.’ But of course, he can’t have that because Bum being ‘too’ happy about things means he won’t be able to control Bum. So, for Bum’s case, he’s doing a second round to train Bum further, rather than to fuck with him before he kills him (like what he’s doing with card!dude).

Other than that, this is also indicative of just how well Bum is dealing with the anxiety of this moment. Card!dude might have done better (though he can’t have that much control over the cards) under normal circumstances, but between the both of them, Bum is actually calm enough to think things through. It says a lot about his capabilities lol. It makes me wonder what kind of person he could’ve been had he been raised well.

ALSO, AGAIN WITH YOU BEING CUTE SANGWOO. NO. ESPECIALLY NOT UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES YOU ASSHOLE. STOP IT.

16. Lol, even though this is a throwaway line, I think this is indicative of who Sangwoo has already chosen

This is really like a “come on, partner in crime, get up to my level here and let’s fuck with this fucker together”. But the thing is, Bum is just as much a victim as this guy. There is literally no way for Bum to think any other way but Sangwoo fucking with both of them, not just card!dude. 

Because the thing is, if Bum forgot himself and reacted the same way as card!dude, Sangwoo would kill him, along with card!dude.

But yeah, it does make me think of how Sangwoo would’ve reacted if card!dude actually won. How would his script go? Would he still do a practice round? Or would that have been enough for Sangwoo, and he would’ve skipped to the next part of his plan?

I don’t think this second round was something Sangwoo expected. And that really drove home to him how Bum keeps surpassing his expectations again and again. 

17. *wince* Oohp.

The trembling and slight protest. Definitely not what Sangwoo wants to see. I can’t blame Bum for responding like this, BECAUSE A FKKN SERIAL KILLER IS PRETTY MUCH TRYING TO SCREW HIM OVER, but at the same time, he should know better than to respond this way. 

I also do think, other than the threat to his life, Bum is perceiving this as Sangwoo ‘choosing’ card!dude over Bum. It’s like a rejection and that probably hits Bum’s rejection sensitivity. If it was just a threat to his life, Bum would probably be able to still stay silent at this point (uh, most likely not because again, life is on the line, but still maybe). However, there’s also this sense that Sangwoo doesn’t actually want him to live--that the card game is just an excuse to kill Bum.

18.  think it says a lot that Sangwoo still responds to Bum’s protest via ‘patting’ him on the head rather than pulling on his hair. 

If card!dude was more intuitive, then he probably would’ve noticed that something was off in the way Sangwoo was treating Bum. More leniently. Because any small variation in treatment is not a promising outlook for card!dude.

But the thing is--now that I know how the ending is--Sangwoo is just doing this as a way to fuck with the other dude.  Actually he was probably proud of Bum winning so that he could further fuck with card!dude and make him taste the bitterness of false hope. Sort of like a “heh, you did better than I thought you would”. 

Sangwoo does want him to live because this card game is not about ‘who’ to choose. Sangwoo has already chosen Bum. This is just a matter of how much satisfaction Sangwoo can get against his revenge on the other guy.

Though, Bum is genuinely worried because why would he think that lol. There is also this thing where Sangwoo chose to kill a pretty girl and keep him, a skinny male loser, alive. So from his stand point, Sangwoo’s choices are difficult to pinpoint. Bum also won’t see himself as more ‘attractive’ than card!dude, so he most likely was scared that Sangwoo’s choices has changed once again and he would be thrown away like CEO daughter.

19. Hmmmn...

Now that card!dude has been given a second chance and can see Sangwoo’s willingness as a show of ‘favorability’, he has more control over his anxiety (which I do think is different from Bum, who has this sort of ‘on-off’ button for his anxiety, versus card!dude who seems to have more of a ‘reduction-enlargement’ slider). He probably feels more confident. 

And this is probably exactly what Sangwoo wanted, because then that will make the fall so much sweeter, the look of horror that much more gratifying.

20. Really, and there were people who wanted Sangwoo and Bum to have a happily ever after

The psychological warfare Sangwoo is putting onto Bum is so brutal that it’s really difficult to keep reading. Again, Koogi making it so that Sangwoo got better, then got worse when he realized he couldn’t handle what it means to ‘improve’, and then die...it made me respect this work so much, because nothing about this is romanticized.  And furthermore, Bum didn’t die, but at the same time, he was scars that will never be able to heal. His mentality was worse in the end than it was in the beginning, which is a goddamn feat because there wasn’t much left for him to fall.

Another alternative that I saw float around was Bum and Sangwoo dying together and...no. No no no. That’s too romanticized as well. And Bum being left alive while Sangwoo dies has this very...god I don’t even know how to explain. It’s not a happy ending. For me, there’s no vindication for it because I got to see just how deeply Sangwoo was suffering, which made it impossible for me to enjoy his death despite every incredibly shitty thing he has done. It was literally just...a masterpiece. One that showed just how, really, there are places on earth that truly have no hope and the suffering only ends with death. 

I usually never like nihilistic stories like these. Like seriously, there’s a reason why I avoided Killing Stalking like the plague. But after so many stories where things have a happy ending just because they MUST, it doesn’t only get tiring, but destructive for me. 

And Killing Stalking is special to me because instead of showing that everything was hopeless in the beginning just BECAUSE life is hopeless, period...it shows that things could’ve gone differently because Sangwoo and Bum were never truly without hope in the beginning. Sangwoo wasn’t a classic serial killer. Bum just needed better guidance. They just needed to be given a goddamn chance, like so many people in the world in general.

Instead of outright nihilism, it’s more in line with existentialism and that things reach the point of no return if nothing is changed. Or that if there are changes, it’s the type of change that makes things worse and doesn’t allow for healing.

A1: What of the Meyers-Briggs personality types they most fit into? INFP, ENFT, et cetera…

So, I did the quiz for him... This is what he got: "Campaigners (ENFPs) are true free spirits – outgoing, openhearted, and open-minded. He did, however, land bang in the middle of that E/I spectrum (it was 52% E to 48% I) and that rings true for him, too. I honestly kinda expected him to get INFP. He's that bleeding-heart idealist peacemaker type. :-)

A19: What instantly irritates them or puts them in a bad mood?

On most days, he's actually pretty good at keeping a zen attitude about most ordinary things and it takes something genuinely upsetting or *a LOT* of smaller annoyances. But sometimes he just wakes up irritable and then it doesn't take a whole lot. On days like that, crowded places, long lines, hunger, and weather (*any* weather, frankly, but esp. the hot and humid kind) are his worst enemies and he won't even go anywhere unless he absolutely has to.

B8: Is your OC considered funny? Do they believe they’re funny?

He's an amusing storyteller and a quick-witted guy with a smartass clapback or a comment on pretty much anything. He's also a complete and utter 12-year-old sometimes and has a way of making silliness contagious. So yes. Definitely the class clown type. He's often funny but never mean, tho. And he does believe that yeah, most of the time people laugh with him rather than at him. As long as *he* is laughing, he doesn't particularly care either way.

B13: Do they have a large or small group of friends?

A lot of casual pals and good acquaintances he's on friendly terms with but whom he (however gently/politely) keeps at arm's length; only a small circle of people he thinks of as *close* buddies.

E8: What’s one of your OC’s biggest regrets?

He doesn't have many. One is that he left most of his blood family behind. But that, at least, is mitigated by the fact that his parents have two more kids still at home - and that he can send back some eddies every month. The other is not being able to save Jackie.

L6: Which OC do you think is the worst morally or behaviorally? AKA, which is supposed to be a “bad guy”?

I think I've yet to spawn a really bad one. But between Vasya and Vitaly, it's definitely the latter. Vitaly has always had a harsh, ambitious streak and it's always run pretty deep. He's been in NC a lot longer than Vasily, first on the streets, then with Arasaka - and neither street nor corporate life has done much to mitigate his somewhat ruthless disposition. While he (unlike Vasya) is a practising Christian, he's about as willing to "turn the other cheek" as the Padre. But he's probably not worse than your average merc and he snarls more than he actually bites. (But if he does bite, he goes straight for the jugular...)

Thoughts on S3E3 of Discovery

There’s an argument that this episode tied up a lot of plot elements far, far too neatly, but you know what? I’m not going to be one of the people making that argument, because with how horrible life is right now, it is just way too damn nice to have a show that says, screw it, everything more or less turns out as ok as it can sometimes. Even in darkness, there is light, and life, and the possibility of forgiveness.

As far as more spoilery stuff goes... Listen, I still kinda ship Mylvia, but I can’t hate Book/Burnham even a little bit. That have a chemistry and a witty repartee that is just to DIE for. Michael lovingly mocking him (Sorry Michael, he’s right about Grudge tho) and having him wrapped around her little finger but also trusting him with her life and the life of her new family. Book trusting her implicitly in return and unable to deny her anything but still being just a hint of roguish all the same. Their whole thing on the ship where yes, technically they aren’t romantic YET but the vibe is still Michael bringing her boyfriend to meet the family for the first time and Mirror Georgiou being Mom-like and sizing up her daughter’s new beau and whew. I was a little disappointed when he left at the end of the episode. I mean yeah, obviously he’s coming back, but I was hoping he just decide to stick around on the ship, even if not as a member of Starfleet.

Honestly, the family themes were so lovely. Michael hugging everyone. Michael and Tilly talking in the ship Corridor. The final thing where Saru and Michael stood side by side on the bridge and Michael said she didnt need to go down and visit earth because her place was here with Saru I am so glad they’ve made up and become surrogate siblings it’s so wonderful ;_;

I do find the way Michael’s storyline is shaping to be intriguing. Georgiou becomes the Devil on her shoulder, trying to pry her away from Starfleet after that year apart caused her to drift, and Saru trying to bring her back home. Georgiou has more Charisma on that front, but I believe in Michael. The storyline would admittedly probably be landing a bit better if we got an episode or two detailing what she did in that year of waiting instead of a short montage,yes, but with only 12 episodes on deck, I can understand why they glossed over it and I trust the story team made the best choice they could under the circumstances. 

I love Adira on a basic level. Smartass tech whiz kid is still a fun archetype, and I LOVE that they’re somehow bringing out Paul’s fatherly side??? When is he gonna break the news to Hugh that they’re dads now anyway? I wonder how the whole Trill thing worked out? Judging by Riker’s reaction, Humans can’t really carry Trills for a long period, IIRC? But I suppose either Adira’s young age or advanced medical technology might have helped that a bit, to be fair.

So on one hand, I am happy the NB person is an actual human and not the usual “Well, Aliens have a different concept of Gender” thing. On the other hand, weren’t they referred to as she pretty much every time it came up this episode? I suppose it’s possibly Adira is a she/they NB, or even just a she NB, but I feel like if you’re gonna hype up their status as NB, you should do a better job of explaining exactly what their deal is in the first episode, unless you get people confused and dismayed about the whole thing. Right now it’s unclear whether they’re flexible on their pronouns, or just getting casually misgendered. 

Hopefully the next episode will clarify that a bit, since it does look Adira-centric, or at least dealing directly with their symbiont.

The whole Earth storyline was... pretty wonderful, actually. Not only do we get Expanse echos of Belters vs. Earthers, we get Starfleet actually getting 2 sides to sit down and discuss things. It got a little bothsidesy when it was clear Earth was pretty much completely in the wrong, but I appreciate that it let talking WORK for once. It’s nice to escape to a universe where just talking works and gets people help. Hopefully its the first step in getting an earth that can open back and maybe be ready to rejoin the Federation when Discovery gets it back in working order.

It was also really nice to see the bridge crew down on earth. We’ve seen them all in the background, and they’ve deserved to step out into the light for a long time now, and they’re all so wonderful. 

I’m relieved that it looks pretty obvious now that we’re going for a PTSD/Trauma storyline for poor Keyla as opposed to a “Control in the implant” storyline, if only because the former has a much higher chance of her surviving. Let Joann and Keyla comfort each other and grow as people and kiss, Discovery. You owe them that. >:[

Anyway, other than the concerns about Adira’s exact gender identity vis-a-vis the advertisements trumpeting them as ST’s first NB Character, I loved the episode. Season 3 of Discovery, for whatever flaws it may have, continues to be the type of wonderful comfort food I was craving during this year. 

Also: Captain Saru is my favorite Captain.

A couple of minutes later, as Feliciano was angrily texting Elizabeta hate messages, a message came from an unknown number. All that was written in it was Skree skree. Even after the whole situation with Lovino and Grandpa Rome was halfway resolved, Ludwig and Feliciano kept their pigeon talk, leading Feliciano to know exactly who it was.

Feliciano pressed the camera button on the edge of his screen, calling Ludwig for a video call. It was either bad connection or Ludwig's anxiety that led to several attempts of this action before they finally managed to contact each other.

Feliciano smiled at his screen, Ludwig was going to hear his voice for the first time ever and he was going to hear his. "Hello!" He said, a bit higher than he wanted it to come out.

Ludwig looked around, nervous at this new way of talking, before finally responding in his natural voice. "Hello, Feliziano."

It was no secret that Feliciano cringed at the way Ludwig pronounced his name, but he mostly blamed it on the bad sound quality. "Your voice is so deep, please tell me a Kraken is not going to come out of your mouth. Also, that's not how you pronounce my name."

Ludwig tried his best to hide a smile forming at the corner if his lips, but Feliciano saw right through his pixelated face. "There are no Krakens in my mouth. If there were any, it is being digested right now."

"Oh, thank God." Feliciano laughed.

"You didn't tell me how to pronounce your name." Ludwig commented.

"It's a hard c, not a z. You're not saying Venezia, you're saying, uh..." Feliciano took a moment to look for comparisons. "Alice!"

"Feliciano." Ludwig tried saying it again.

"Much better."

"So, the same rules apply for i as they do for e?"

"Yes. But only if they come after c or g. And if you put h in between, then they are pronounced normally. C is k and g is g, like parcheggio." Feliciano explained.

"I see. What does parcheggio mean?" Ludwig asked.

"Parking lot." Feliciano said. "But that's not why I called."

"I quite enjoyed this conversation." Ludwig smiled.

"Of course you did. By the way, you're very cute when you smile. Now, do you wanna meet my brothers?" Feliciano asked.

Ludwig ignored the comment on his smiling face, avoiding the blush that would have otherwise be very obvious. "Why not."

"Okay. I'll give you a tour of the house while I find them." Feliciano said, getting up from his bed and showing Ludwig his room. "This is my room. If you can't tell it apart from all other rooms, mine has the best view. Remember that."

"Alright." Ludwig answered.

Feliciano exited his room and made his way down the stairs to the living room. "Our house should be a hotel." He said and Ludwig laughed. It really did have a lot of stairs.

When he was finally on the living room stairs, Feliciano spotted Lovino and Antonio on the couch, cuddling. "Hi, Toni!" He greeted.

Antonio waved at him and Lovino just looked at him, annoyed that his fun was ruined. Feliciano directed his attention back to Ludwig. "You get to meet Toni today as well. Lucky you, Luddy!" He said and jumped on the couch, separating Lovino and Antonio.

"Okay so, Ludwig, this is Lovi." Feliciano said, showing the phone to Lovino so Ludwig could see him better. "Lovi, this is Ludwig. He's my friend."

Lovino took a moment to take in Ludwig's appearance. "Feli." He called. "Why does that potato have hair?"

Feliciano was just about to tell him off, but Ludwig interrupted them. "When you leave a potato too long underground, it develops hair." Ludwig held back his laugh.

Lovino scoffed. "Well, aren't you a smartass."

"It is nice to meet you too, Lovino." Ludwig said.

"Fun fact. It's mine and Lovi's birthday soon. We were born on the same day two years apart." Feliciano chimed in.

"Best. Birthday present. Ever." Lovino said, Ludwig noted the sarcasm in his voice.

"And Meo was born in June. He betrayed us." Feliciano continued and moved his phone away from Lovino, towards Antonio.

Antonio offered Ludwig a big bright smile. "Hello!"

Ludwig was just about to answer, but Feliciano decided that wasn't going to happen today. "This is Toni. He's Lovi's boyfriend and we might have interrupted one of their make out sessions now."

"Don't worry about it, Feli. Nice to meet you, Ludwig." Antonio said, patting Feliciano's hair.

"Nice to meet you as well." Ludwig smiled. "I must say, you look rather familiar. Have you been to Germany before?"

"No. But I have a friend there. I met him when he got really drunk here in Italy." Antonio shook his head.

"That sounds like something my brother would do." As if he was summoned, a voice which probably belonged to Ludwig's brother chimed in.

"What is this gossip about the awesome me?" Another figure appeared behind Ludwig, with platinum white hair and piercing red eyes. A large smirk was glued on his face when he saw Feliciano on the phone, but it immediately turned to something less seductive when he noticed the person next to Feliciano.

Gilbert grabbed the phone from Ludwig's hands and took a closer look. "Toni!?" He asked.

Antonio's eyes went wide. Following Gilbert's reaction, he snatched the phone away from Feliciano and smiled. "Gil!"

Feliciano and Lovino were both watching their reactions. What in the world just happened? Neither knew the answer.

Gilbert continued. "What the hell are you doing there?"

"Feli is my friend. I had no idea he was friends with your brother! It's so nice to see you again, Gil!" Antonio answered.

"The world is too small for the awesome me. Still, I can't believe I'm seeing you there of all people." Gilbert shook his head like a grandpa.

Feliciano let the two of them talk for a little while more before joining Antonio on the screen. Gilbert smirked again when he saw him. "I'm glad you two got to talk it all out, but can I have Ludwig back please?" Feliciano asked.

Gilbert made a wounded expression at Feliciano's words. "Toni, call me." He said, making a phone gesture by his ear before passing the phone to Ludwig.

Ludwig just stared at Feliciano confused. "I have no idea what just happened."

"Me neither, but I'm glad they get along." Feliciano said. "Ready to meet Meo?"

Ludwig nodded and spotted his brother talking on the phone to someone. Judging by the voice he heard in the background from Feliciano, he suspected he was back to talking to Antonio. Feliciano's brother was sure to kill him now.

Feliciano walked back up the stairs to a dark hallway, at the end of it was a smaller room which Feliciano opened. However, instead of being met with light from the outside, he was met with more darkness and some tears. "Meo?" He called.

"Hm?" Came a sniffling answer.

"Midterms?" Feliciano asked.

"Yup."

"Can you talk now? I want to introduce you to my friend."

"Okay. Gimme a second." There was a shuffling sound and soon Romeo was up and smiling and Feliciano turned on the lights.

He walked towards Romeo's bed and sat on it, showing him Ludwig. "Meo, this is my friend Ludwig. Ludwig, this is Romeo. He's the youngest."

"Why you gotta rub it in my face? Nice to meet you, Ludwig. Don't listen to this guy, whatever he tells you about me, it's all lies." Romeo smiled.

Ludwig returned the gesture. "So, your name isn't Romeo and you're not the youngest?"

"Is that really all you have to say about me?" Romeo commented, pinching Feliciano.

"Ow! That's a good enough introduction, what do you want from me?" Feliciano said, caressing his wound from being pinched.

"My apologies. He did tell me more, but it didn't seem relevant." Ludwig said. "You're majoring in Chemistry, right? Good luck with your midterms."

"Yeah. They are a disaster, but I love blowing things up more." Romeo laughed.

"You are just like my brother." Ludwig said.

"I think we should leave now, Ludwig. Let Meo suffer in his pain." Feliciano said, smirking. This was revenge for pinching him before.

"Alright. Goodbye, Romeo. Good luck once again." Ludwig said and Feliciano took off, sticking out his tongue for Romeo, earning himself a middle finger up from Romeo.

The rest of the day, Feliciano and Ludwig spent just talking to each other. Elizabeta and her husband Roderich joined them briefly as well as Gilbert, but they mostly talked between themselves. Ludwig talked quite a lot about his dogs and Feliciano couldn't help his smile when he did. Ludwig was absolutely glowing when he talked about his dogs.

"Do you want to talk like this tomorrow again?" Feliciano asked. The clock on his wall showing that it was already well past midnight.

"Sure, I don't mind. If it is just the two of us." Ludwig said.

"Just the two of us then." Feliciano smiled. "Good night, Ludwig."

"Good night, Feliciano." Ludwig said and Feliciano broke the call. He voted the call as excellent and shut down his phone, his battery giving up on life as he did.

Feliciano laid down in his bed, thinking about what an eventful day it was. He recited some of the conversations between himself and Ludwig before falling asleep with a smile on his face.

Last night, during the pal’s live, I started to wonder how her OCs dealt with love. More precisely, how they handle it. If they’re the kind to show or tell or both. I don’t forcibly think about the romantic kind of love, though it does play a huge part in my questioning. But love in general. For the people closest to us, family and friends included.

Of course, what started as a simple question, a maybe fleeting one turned into more because my brain loves to escalate things.

I began to reflect on my own relationship with it, and thus how Asian people show it too since I grew up with mostly Asian principles and traditions. And beyond Laos, I noticed that a lot of Asian families rarely say “I love you.” or hug their child once they’re not kids anymore. Hell, I noticed that I rarely say it myself to the ones I love, besides my little brother. I say it more easily to my friends tho’ but still, it is rare for me to do so. I am more of a show don’t tell kind of gal. I think that I also don’t like being vulnerable, probably because of past trauma but I digress. Besides making me wonder how people in other countries handle it, if it is warmer than us Asian folk do, the same or worse, I did wonder how my OCs did, so here we go:

Arria, beyond her cold and somehow intimidating presence, loves hard, passionately and most of the time selflessly when you do manage to find yourself a place in her life and heart. However, the more she does love someone, the less likely she will say it. It’s not linked to her pride or anything close to that she just, don’t. It feels out of place to her. Too much and too little at the same time. The only people to whom she says it like it is, “I love you”, are, Arch, because he just has that much influence over her and she loves him that much that it spills out every now and then, and Aaron. To whom she says it every day. “我爱你”. Because she knows he needs it, and she is willing to say too much and too little to him every single day because it’s him.

She has other ways of saying I love you though.

I think of Ange, who she often loves romantically, and who made her love the ocean that she used to fear, because it now reminds her of her. I think of Cyrus, the same as Ange, for whom she is willing to be vulnerable to, in front of everyone, and outright say that she gave up on him once, and won’t ever again unless he wants her to. Talking about him, he is with Arch, the one that she’d forgive just like that, always, if he just as much as apologizes. Wary, resentful Arria. Who’d be bitter to even her twin brother for at least a few days if not weeks if he really crossed or hurt her. Ange is so very special, most of the time Arria doesn’t know how she’d react to her until it’s too late. I like the idea too, that she doesn’t need to say it. Especially to Cyrus because it’s just evident that she does. And because I think, at least with her, that he is not too effusive with words either.

She is not very demonstrative, at least not in public. PDA is not her thing. She does indulge Latisha though, even in front of strangers when she has the urge to hug her from the side or behind. She also lets Damjan slip his arm on her shoulders when they walk, so people won’t come and try to flirt with neither him or her. It makes her snicker every time. She so rarely says “I love you” to Latisha because she loves her like her family. Hard. But she always says it back to her.

She is affectionate tho’ behind close doors.

She will cuddle with Arch like lovers would. She will hide her face in the crook of Ange’s neck when she is laughing or flustered by her. She will lean on Cyrus while hiding her mouth behind her hands when she laughs hard, fall on his lap or slip behind his back so she can brush and braid his hair. She lets Liv fall asleep in between her legs, and let her fingers slip in her hair while reading. And she will naturally hug her brother from behind, sit on his lap and softly bit his shoulder to then go back to what she was doing like nothing happened.

Right now I’m thinking of her relationship with Ronan so I’ll mention it. She loves that he loves Ange and Tisha as much as she does if not more. She loves that he is one of her twin’s closest friends. She loves his talent and passion and is comfortable enough to drink with him and share a cigarette he started and that she’d finish, let her head fall on his shoulder and giggle like an idiot. She is happy that he’s her friend.

I have to talk about Helena too. Helena who fascinates her. With her artistry, her strength, her everything. She knows, that she doesn’t need anyone’s protection. But you can bet that she’ll murder for her.

She loves Noah extravagance, she has a thing for prideful people, it’s entertaining and makes her laugh and he makes her laugh. She feels comfortable with him and can be vulnerable in his presence when she’s tired. Just like Damjan who she’d trade for no one in the world.

Arria loves in a very teasing way. She’ll throw jabs and will bicker with you. All the time. She will be a smartass. But she’ll do anything for the ones she loves too. Going from singing if you ask her, to killing if it comes to it. Arria ultimately falls into the category of show don’t tell, in the smallest and biggest ways. Her love is hot and intense, playful and selfless. She’ll give, always and maybe subtly, without asking for anything in return.

Aaron, is more comfortable with saying it than his sister. With some people more than others. With Ange for example, he doesn’t say it much, because she doesn’t either. Or he does so, when he is sleep-deprived and she brings him a cup of coffee. Mumbling it in his mother tongue as he takes a sip, his hand lingering on hers to convey it.

He likes saying it to Cyrus in a sarcastic or teasing manner. To rile him up a bit while always meaning it.

To Arch with a sigh while he falls in his arms because he’s Arch and he just loves him.

To Ronan while they’re composing, exhausted like never and yet still laughing. He’ll say it between two fits of it, as he gives him a cigarette, eyes sparkling softly with shared mischief.

Liv a little less, because like Ange she doesn’t really say it but man he would do anything for her. And to Arria, he always says it back, since she usually beats him to it and makes his heart feel warm and ache a little because he loves her so much.

The way he loves is, hard to describe. He loves a little possessively, but not really. He doesn’t consider people as his property, never. But he likes keeping them close and feel like he can protect them even when they don’t need to be. It’s just who he is, especially with his past trauma.

He loves people gently, casually, and it shows in his gestures.

In the way he’d come up behind Arria while she’s working on lyrics or texts, and tie her hair up without her asking him to. Just so she wouldn’t have to huff on the strands falling on her eyes anymore. It shows with the fact that he always has a book he got at the library sitting on his shelves, that he thinks Ange or Cyrus would like if they come over. Or how he bought a couch just for Ronan in his music studio, so he could sleep on it when they work overnight. He always burns that incense Liv loves when she comes over and commands Arch’s fave snacks while selecting hours prior to, a list of movies they can watch together and nerd out on. And he always buys every little thing that reminds him of Helena to gift it to her as soon as he gets them. Getting excited about it like a child would. Oh, he also always make sure Minjun eats and goes back home rather than living in his music studio, and always massages Latisha when she comes groaning to his place after her training.

He only falls in love when he connects with people. Intellectually mostly, but more than that if he isn’t scared of showing his darker flaws. He sometimes wonders if he loves his best friends in a romantic way. But he is content with the affection they are willing to give him already, so he bows and yields to the ones he thinks would make them happy.

His arms will always be open to his loved ones. Most of the time letting them take the initiative to not overstep boundaries. His hugs are warm, and Arria and Liv would say that they sometimes get a little choked up because it feels like finally being home after ages of being nostalgic about it.

He loves to draw the Zakharines and Cyrus a lot. Ange is so far the only one who ever saw his canvas related to his years in the army and aphantasia.

He likes writing songs about Arria and Ronan who baffles him for the latest since he won’t realize they were for him, unless he spells it out or name them “For Ronan”. He indulges Latisha and always agrees to dance with her and Arria, just to see her beam and hear her laugh. He’ll always agree to follow Liv and Helena for their art expeditions or photoshoot sessions, helping Helena at playing paparazzi on their friend.

He likes to give and is always surprised when he receives back.

A little awkward sometimes, a little teasing, he loves a little too hard he thinks. He’s scared of going overboard. But really, his love is like coming back home after a while, far away.

Liv, is like Arria, not much of a tell, much more of a show. The only persons she probably said “I love you” to are her little sister Roksana before they grew apart, and Helena. She loves the ones close to her a lot though and is willing to do and sacrifice much for them, if not fall on the sword in their stead.

She likes to show to the people she loves that she does, by doing, creating things on which she’d spend hours and hours working on to spoil them. Helena, Noah and Arria are her favorites models (she creates clothing for all the little band tho). She has endless sketches turned into creations that she showers them with.

She painted murals in Aaron’s room and has sketchbooks and canvas all inspired by him that he cherishes like his most precious treasures. She also actively tries to change his wardrobe.

Livia has a repulsion for other’s people touch in general. Unless she really is comfortable with you.

She lets Noah pull her on his lap, his chin laying on the top of her head or on her shoulder as he talks to others or her, playing with her fingers. She seeks contact with Helena. Let it be having her best friend’s legs across her laps when they’re on a couch, holding one of her fingers with hers or having her in between her legs as she draws arabesques with her fingertips on her skin while they’re listening to music. She likes to fall asleep in the twins' arms when they’re chilling at her or their place. She feels at home in Aaron’s arms and likes when he swoops her up for hugs. She feels protected when Arria pulls her against her when they’re in the middle of a crowd, glaring at the people who’d bump into her like she could go feral on them at any wrong move.

She is comfortable enough around their other friends to laugh openly, put a hand on their arm or shoulder, and even hug them to make them feel welcome. She always has their favorite drink or snack in her home or shop.

She trusts Ange the most, besides the four I mentioned earlier. She trusts her with all of their friends, and she trusts her to the point where if she asked her to close her eyes and have faith in her, she would.

She has a lot of affection for Arch and Ronan. She sometimes sees a little of herself in them and wants to hug them. She likes to spoil them with little things they like when she meets up with the two men just to see them smile or smirk.

She doesn’t talk much to Cyrus. But she knows he means a lot to Arria, and she means a lot to him. She’d lie, yeah, even fall on the sword for him too.

Her family is not really one. She found that in them. And can grow a little obsessive with wanting them safe and happy. She is very soft, very sweet when you know her, but could turn very dark, maybe a little ruthless, if harm is done to her loved ones. She is aware of her friends’ backgrounds and flaws. She knows too that they’re all a little fucked up in their own way. But she embraces it. And would help every single one of them to cover up a murder if it comes to it.

Livia loves with all of her being. Even if she never fell for someone in a romantic way so far. She never judges, and always kind of know how people feel since she is observant, and thus discreetly tries to help them without outright making it obvious. She is good at it.

Liv loves silently, but purely. It makes her quite vulnerable. But she knows that she can be with her tight circle. She put a lot of trust in her way of loving people. Where most of the time she’d rather stay back, in the shadows, loving them makes her brave and gives her strength and makes her shine.

Tisha, has no problems saying the words “I love you”, though she does not say it that often and only when she means it.

She always says it to her mother, used to, to her father. She often says it teasingly to the others. Like Arria, to see her reactions and hear her grunt or throw a jab at her. She says it often to Ronan. Casually and playfully most of the time. Seriously the others. Because she really does and he deserves to hear it.

Latisha’s love is warm even though it feels like playing with fire sometimes. But it never burns, just tingles. She loves fiercely, and a little blindly due to her strong sense of loyalty. Like that time when the break in Arria and Cyrus’ friendship happened, and where she took her best friend side, cursing the other, bitter for a while without really knowing his side of the story.

Talking about him, she loves in a tough way sometimes too. And it’s the case with Cyrus. She’ll say loud and clear that he’s insufferable and a little shit. She means it. But she has a lot of affection for him too. She’ll make him lose his temper, poke all his sore spots just to rile him up like never before to then laugh in his face. And yet, she’ll be the first to defend him fiercely while baring her teeth. Because he’s her friend, and she loves him, and he loves Arria.

Her best friend, her family. If you’d ask the Asian woman, she’d say that no one loves others like Latisha does and that the ballerina is probably one of the people who love her the most. And when Latisha loves you like she loves Arria, it’s in such a pure, selfless and powerful way that you don’t even know if you could ever do enough to give back to her what she gives. And Tisha loves all of their little band just like that.

She is the kind of person who becomes a rock, a foundation when everything is wrecked and precarious in your life. The kind that keeps you grounded, in touch with reality, saying things like they are, and always there to support you even when you are in the wrong. Guiding you on a better path.

Romantically, Latisha rarely falls in love. But when she does, it’s hard and in all the senses of the term. She did with her two longterm relationships, and she did with Ronan as well (depends on which universe lol), even if she realized she had after he confessed to her and she didn’t understand that he did. Running to his place after she screamed at him on the phone to not move, and returning his feelings in the middle of his hallway rather than in his flat, drama queen that she is like he told her while chuckling.

 I could arguably say that pretty much all of them would do anything for the ones they love. Truly. But Latisha is compared to the three that came before her, the less violent or twisted. And in a way, that fact makes it all the more powerful, that she would not hesitate and point a gun at anyone being a danger to her loved ones, and fire it.

Her love is like a gush of fresh air. Light, warm, and that makes you laugh, chuckle while sometimes rolling your eyes. It’s a love you can rely on, no matter what even in the darkest of times. Latisha’s love feels like going on a thrilling (and maybe a little dangerous) adventure with your best friend.
