I will continue out of spite. If anyone wants to take me out that badly, they will have to get their hands dirty and do it themselves! If they wish me miserable, they will have to wipe off my Joker smile with their own two hands!

Stanley model baby going further into those child actors with toxic parents. Fillbrick milking the crap out of it, taking all the money and putting Stan through routines that are especially bad for his mental and physical health.

I've seen a lot of people writing Danny as a space ancient and Dan and Dani as ghosts with moon and sun cores, being sort of parts, versions of Danny and therefore weaker. Now, consider: Dan and Dani are both powerful ghosts with really cool cores and stuff but Danny is just some guy™
Dan, who came from an alternate timeline and is kind of from the future but also not, is Clockwork's apprentice and will eventually become an ancient of time. He probably only agreed to have some lessons with Clockwork to understand better what happened to him, but he enjoys his apprenticeship now.
Dani, with her love of travelling, loves seeing all the different places the world offers to her, and that includes space and different planets and maybe even parallel universes, and she accidentally ends up being an apprentice of the space ancient. For now she's probably a baby ancient of freedom or something like that, but she might become an ancient of space in the future.
We can also have something like Dan having a core of destruction or Dani being the Speed Force if you want it to be dcxdp, or any headcanon of yours about their cool powers.
And then there's Danny. And yeah, everyone knows that he's super powerful, but also he's just some guy.
It can go different routes. Does everyone know that Danny is just Danny? Or do they think that with siblings (well, technically a clone and an alternate version, but whatever) so powerful, he must be even stronger? Is Danny actually something terrifyingly eldritch and ancient and strong, almost a god, but he just doesn't know himself? Or is he just really some guy?
Now, because it's obvious that I have a dcxdp brainrot, have a regular "JL summons/meets a powerful ghost" but its Dan and Dani, and they keep mentioning their original/brother who won a fight against them at some point. The JL is very concerned about Dan and Dani's godlike powers, and they can't imagine what Danny is like. And then they meet him (in his human form), and it's just a young adult in casual clothes, very friendly and helpful, with no evident powers. Imagine the confusion. Imagine Dan and Dani, radiating power, in their eldritch ghost forms, admitting that fighting Danny for real is the dumbest thing to do and not even they would succeed... And then there's Danny is jeans and silly t-shirt, waving shyly.

it's always really funny to remember that Cerrit was not at the Tree of Names when it was destroyed so Travis spends both the fight and the aftermath oscillating between 😬 and ✌️

Since a changlings role is to replace the child as to not cause any problems, wouldn’t it be easy for the changling to just go ‘missing’ during adulthood? By missing, I mean disintegrating. Like, the magic needed to make a changling isn’t meant to last anyway. So one day every changling that has ever existed will go into the woods and never be seen again. The magic it was made of going back into the world. It also solves the problem of potential children. Changlings physically can’t get into romantic relationships and if they do they’ll disappear into the woods before the idea of having kids even comes up. Kind of scary though since if the not Timmy was out on a family camping trip and just straight up rounded a corner in front of the Turner parents and BAM. Gone.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You would be correct about that. Changelings are not meant to last longer than 2 years past the child's adulthood.
Perhaps it's due to Timmy's immense Good Luck when he was human, or perhaps due to Timmy's stubbornness, but his changeling has thus survived well beyond its necessary lifespan.
Regardless, his changeling is nobody's concern. Not that it has ever been anybody's concern. A well built Changeling will collect bad luck into its body by nature. If Wishes were to attract Luck, then Unwishes attracts Bad Luck.
It'll sort itself out eventually.

hot take: Jason is actually one of the most emotionally intelligent members of the Batfam because, contrary to most of them, he actually expresses his actual emotions. and while those feelings are mostly negative, he still expresses them, which is more than can be say about Bruce (who will bottle it up till it blows up in his face), Damian and Cass (who were trained out of expressing their feelings during childhood by literal assassins), Tim and Dick (who are chronic liars and will bullshit their way through life unless there’s no other way).

The design just goes so hard and the transformation of your brother being a constant reminder of the worst day of your life is such a cool concept!!!

What's so interesting to me about Kelvin is that, yes, he is very self-absorbed and attention-seeking. I mean, season one established that he has/had a full blown god complex comparing himself to Jesus. But he makes that comparison in part because he wants to do good and be Christ-like. Out of his family, he is probably the most altruistic and compassionate, and it's a fascinating dichotomy.
Making your own version of the Bible and putting your name on it is extremely egotistical, and he has very personal motivations of wanting acceptance from the public and from his family. He's quite literally rewriting his own faith to fit his view of the world, rejecting anything that doesn't serve him. He's also very clearly doing this for all of the people who have felt ostracized by their faith. He's creating a safe space for himself, but it's equally as important to him that he's doing this for other people. He's accepting people that would be turned away from so many other communities, religious or not.
It's so interesting to see the contrast within the Gemstones and Evangelicals as a whole where they bend their religion to themselves. What we typically see is the Gemstones being ignorant/ambivalent of scripture that dictates humility, modesty, forgiveness, etc. Kelvin is actively denying the parts of his faith that are used to harm him and others, and we see that road to unlearning some of his prejudice in season 3 especially.
Kelvin's story is so much about how finding inner peace and embracing others are intertwined paths. His entire relationship with Keefe is Kelvin continuing to make the choice to challenge and improve himself in order to help Keefe. The whole reason he came out and became successful with Prism was BECAUSE of Keefe! Keefe is his follower, Keefe's life unquestionably improved when he met Kelvin, but he's also giving Kelvin strength to live more earnestly in turn.
I'm really excited to see where the rest of the season goes with Kelvin's journey, and I'm hoping that we see Prism become a stronger part of the church/a bigger community as Kelvin likely will become more confident with being himself in the public eye.

Phainon has been going through 33550336 cycles and apparently it always ended with him fighting against fate, refusing to submit to it.
All this time.
And this time the bond between him and his friends is even tighter, he has the Trailblazers supporting him.
And I don't think the Lord Ravagers are aware of that? Either they aren't or they are and are severely underestimating Phainon's resolve.
Like, his ascension is gonna happen in this cycle, we have a different outcome than before, fate has been broken in that sense.
But like... you don't go through 33550336 cycles, refusing to submit to fate, only to turn around and find solace or even joy in Destruction.
The people mean too much to him - it has been pushed into our faces time and time again how much Kephale has always loved humans - he would never turn against them.
I think him stating that he won't stop walking and that he won't ever submit to fate in the trailer - while he's transformed and "ascended" already - is giving us all the confirmation we need for that too.
So either, there's something we're still missing(also most likely true) and/or the Myriad Celestia Trailer has been a red herring in that regard and was simply meant to show us what's at stake in Amphoreus in the grand scheme of things(that this is not an isolated story) and give us more info about the war between Aeons that has been brewing in the background already.

After listening to Mutually Assured Destruction again last week I decided to have another go at illustrating part of the scene in the Dalek lab. It got a bit out of hand…

that's the thing though isn't it? outie mark never fully respected his innie as an individual, throughout this entire season he was making decisions for him, without his input, without even wondering if he wanted any of this. he doesn't even wonder if innie mark has seen any of those memories of gemma, reghabi had to remind him that it goes both ways. while saving gemma was obviously the right thing to do and innie mark could realize that, he'd also be giving his life for a cause that doesn't benefit anyone but the person who imprisoned him to begin with. this is all he has, all he'll ever have, everything outside was never meant to be his in the first place. this was the inevitable outcome, innie mark making his own decision, taking the power his outie had over his existence and using it against him. and you can't even blame him, really, of course these are his values, of course he'd do anything for the person, the people he loves. his outie tried to do it too.

Rereading POTS, and it just hit me how young Duke Baird was during the events of Alanna: The First Adventure. We know he's of age with Ilane of Mindelan (since the used to dance together before she married), and Anders was probably born the year before Alanna comes to the palace. Assuming she married when expected at 16-17, Ilane can't have been older than 20 when Anders was born, meaning Baird can't have been more than 25 when Alanna saves Jonathan from the sweating sickness, but is probably closer to 22 (accounting for the fact that Tortallan men seem to come of age at 18) and could be even younger depending on when he started coming to court functions.
Alanna obviously doesn't notice this because they're all adults to her, but he's both very young to have become Chief Healer and to be dealing with a crisis on the magnitude of the sweating sickness. It makes me very curious what happened to get him the position so young, especially since it likely wasn't nepotism, considering the first son of House Queenscove is usually a knight, and it was extremely uncommon to be a fully trained healer as well as a knight even in Kel's time.
I'm also kind of shocked he was even allowed to be promoted so young. We know magical education is pretty bad in Tortall under Roald, but at the very least you'd think you'd have to do the equivalent of medical school. Carthakis seem to get the equivalent of their bachelors at 18, and assuming it's roughly the same in Tortal if you're not Thom of Trebond, the youngest he could graduate would be ~22. That would be like appointing someone who'd literally just graduated from medical school as head of the CDC and the president's personal physician 🤣. I fear this is a classic case of Tammy not considering the timeline but I also want to know what was going through King Roald's head when he made that decision.
