Lapis Lazuli: Waterbending Master
Tumblr media
Second finished drawing of my "turning my gay crush characters into benders" this time it's Lapis as (drumroll) a Waterbender! Such * peak, originality I know. Who could have seen this coming? Jokes aside this was a fun challenge, it was cool designing a new Water Tribe outfit for Lappy and I learned a little more how to use other brushes like Water, Hard Rain, and Dove Lake for doing the water spout. Will admit, not a very fun thing to try to make a monochromatic drawing like this pop out but I think it came out around how I had been imagining. Also one thing I forgot to mention in the last post was that I came up with little backstories for the AU. Some like Lapis and Michiko I don't have much on, but basically Lapis I was thinking would obviously be a Waterbending Master from the Southern Water Tribe. I was debating on potentially making her a Bloodbender and having some of the events parallel SU's Lapis and Jasper, or her being falsely accused of one and being locked up, paralleling Lapis being trapped in the mirror. Tbh I've been a little hesitant with either of these because I know Lapis was a controversial character, but I've been fascinated with the concept of bloodbending since I've rewatched the Puppetmaster. Anyways hope you guys are having a good weekend! (Also it's so weird I saw Way of Water today haha…that was an awesome movie)! (Lapis Lazuli belongs to Cartoon Network/Rebecca Sugar, Avatar the Last Airbender belongs to Nickelodeon).

So I have news
The new laptop finally came in. I went with another Alienware (an M18 this time) because at the time I was still employed at SVP and we had a nice big discount with Dell, putting it far below the ASUS ROG I had been eyeing. Basically the same specs, and to be fair, until my last lappy ate itself, both brands had proven rock solid. Dell's tech support proved slightly better than ASUS in my own personal experience. And considering that machine was well over 7 years old, I'd say that it held up really well! So now I'm still moving data over. I had online backups through Carbonite which kept most things that I'd forgotten. Sadly, I lost my OneNote notebook. The online copy was over a year out of date. Apparently it had stopped backing up, and I could not find any local copies. If I could've gone back, I would have manually exported a backup copy somewhere. Oh well, you live and you learn. Sucks because that's where I stored all of my custom Powershell scripts I'd written over the years. Bleh! Almost all of my software licenses were backed up via email or my external backup drive. Unfortunately about 25% of my Plex library is on that drive too since I'd store my manual DVD and BluRay rips there. I've now got the drive mounted on my Shield again, so those are populating back into Plex now. I lost the rips I had done of my iTunes library, so I'll have to do those over. No biggie, just gonna take time. I wish to God someone had a place where I could buy movies and TV shows with no DRM. I mean, it's easy enough to buy on DVD or BluRay and rip it myself, but the out of print stuff is harder and harder to find. :( Like, I'd love to have all of Murder She Wrote. Let me pay to download full copies to own myself and put on my Plex so I can watch offline. That's one of my few comfort shows. Netflix, Hulu, Peacock Premium, hell even just basic cable, it's all too expensive now. Let me pay for and own what I want. /le sigh At least DRM-free music is easy to find and usually pretty reasonably priced, so no worries there. :) Also: I accepted a job offer this past Friday with DataPerk. It'll be a pay and benefits cut, but the job sounds fun. The guys I met seemed nice enough. I'm not looking forward to having to go through all the medical authorizations for all of my treatments and medications again (considering we JUST did that when SVP changed providers). And DP's benefits do not cover my therapy so I'll be back to paying that out of pocket, which is going to hurt for a while. Better than going without though. Been there, did that, not gonna be that stupid again. I honestly don't have updates on much else. I know I need to get away first chance I get. Unwind, let off some steam. The last year has mostly not been good for me outside of the few trips I took. This year I need to take better care of myself, drawing firmer boundaries where needed (family included). So we'll see ... source: https://www.nickifaulk.com/2024/01/28/so-i-have-news/

All asks
Holy shit, this will be so much fun B-) *cracks knuckles*
Ask me: FANDOM EDITION
A - Your current OTP
Uhhh pff,,, skeleton dance I think?? I mean sure, skelley dance is always my current OTP, ngl. They're basically made for eachother, hell, even craig himself wore tshirts and stuff with wander hugging hater ifthisisn'tcannonthenidkwhatitis
B - A pairing you initially didn’t consider but someone changed your mind
To be honest,, wander x beza. I used to dislike every wander x girl ship bcs I see him as gae and nothing else. But I have a friend who does lots of art with them so I think it grew on me more and more with time?? Now I think they would look cute together, even if i'm still not super big on it.
C - A pairing you have never liked and probably never will
Wnder x domi. No comment, I despise it with all my heart 😂😂 Like I said earlier, I don't like most of wander x girl ships, and domi really hates wander. Sooo this ship simply doesn't make sense to me,, lmfao.
D - A pairing you wish you liked but just can’t
I think Twi x Flash from mlp. Yeah, I thought twi was cute when crushing on him in the 1st EG movie but they don't seem to have that chemistry I was hoping for. Plus I haven't seen any recent episodes of mlp in a long time, though I heard ppl say that he was mean to her once, if I remember well? Anyways, doesn't work so much for me.
E - Have you added anything stupid/cracky/hilarious to your fandom, if so, what
Besides memes/ shitposts, not really. Check @gunxball if you want to see posts of mine back when I was into gumball 2 yrs ago (golly i miss those times)
F - What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom
Probably su (2016-2019) or kid vs kat (2011-2014)
G - Do you remember your first OTP, if so who was in it
Why yes, of course I do. cosmo x wanda from fop. They were so adorbs together esp in the first 2 seasons. Don't like how they got so flanderized with time, their dynamic was absolutely destroyed, and my day was ruined when I found out.
H - Do you prefer characters from real action series or anime series
I don't watch either lolol
But I think anime.
I - Has tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why
Dislike the fandom, not the show itself? Probably hzbin hotel. The show has a pretty neat concept and animation and it had such a big impact on my artstyle when I first watched it. But the fandom? Absolute hell. (pun intended)
From shipping wars, to pestering vivz, anything is possible. Glad I haven't actually interacted with that part of the fandom.
J - Name a fandom you didn’t care/think about until you saw it all over tumblr
Not a show but among us. Back in september/october last year, my tl was FILLED with among us, up and down. Made me a lil tired of it but once I tried playing that game, I couldn't stop. Also the owlhouse, fell in love with the artstyle and story.
K - How do you feel about the other people in your current fandom
I don't have a current fandom. Not feeling in the mood + school + inactivity bcs of school. So I'll say abt my latest fandom, which was animaney. Well, people were really nice, and they seemed to enjoy the reboot. Nothing more to say tbh,,
L - Your favorite fanartist/author gives you one request, what do you ask for
Ummm I don't really like giving rqs to my fave artists, i don't wanna bother them haha
M - Your favorite fanart or fanartist
I don't know aaaa, prolly toonipi but she also draws ocs, not just fanart.
N - Your favorite fanfiction or fanauthor
Anything cute or sappy with skelleydance (NO nsfw)
O - Choose a song at random, which OTP does it remind you of
Lasers and feelings. Skellydance again. It matches sO well-
P - Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas)
I used to have a skatepark AU ft. su chars but never put anything over here. I still have the sketches from 9th grade lmao.
Q - A ship you’ve abandoned and why
To be completely honest, Amydot. Up until s3 they really gave me possible ship vibes. They interacted a lot, and peri discovered her metal powers thanks to amy. But after s3 they hardly ever interacted anymore (besides that one ep from s5 with the kindergarden). I was so dissapointed, but hey lapdot isn't so bad anyway, right?
R - A pairing you ship that you don’t think anyone else ships
Back in 2014 I would have said chred from angry birds, definitely. Not many really shipped them, and when I saw some fanart of them on dA everyone would say "ew, gae". Well, 2014 everyone. I was always like "so?? i like that ship, what's the problem??"
S - Show us an example of your personal headcanon
Uhmm, i headcanon darwin from tawog that he likes to yodel lol
T - If you mostly have homoships, do you have any heteroships
I think my ships are 50-50, but here are some examples:
Larsdie
Stevnnie
Blckeye
Fluttrcord
Beeckard
Starc0
Tanyamao
Foxodile
Pennball
Carwin
U - If you mostly have heteroships, do you have any homoships
Same as T. Another examples:
Skelleydance
Wnderingeye
Sylava
Lumty
Rupphre
Pearlmthyst
Badgrmao
Bubbline
Flutterdsh
Patbob
V - Are you one of those fans who can’t watch anything without shipping
Lol no. Tbh, i'm not super big on shipping either. I only slighty like/dislike any ship i listed earlier (with the exception of skelleydance, i'm too in love with that ship)
W - 5 favorite characters from 5 different fandoms
wakko warner (animaney)
wander (woy)
fluttershy (mlp)
amethyst (su)
bubbles (ppg)
X - 3 OTPs from 3 different fandoms
skelleydance (woy)
lumty (toh)
stevnnie (su)
Y - A fandom you’re in but have no ships from
kid cosmic (or maybe I do ship papa g w/ chuck), animaney, okko, gravity flls
Z - Just ramble about something fan-related, go go go
That one fan made episode from su called the smothering, it was so freaking amazing. It helped a lot in relieveing the pain of that big hiatus from 2017 (which was the biggest one, i literally turned into a skeleton waiting for new eps). Loved peri's needy personality, as well as lappy's playful one. It was so well written, like it could be perfectly fit as a role reversal episode in the main show.

Yo, yo, yo, everybody, Do you know what I haven’t done enough? I mean to really annoy my followers? talk out of character baby! I thought about sharing my thoughts on my ever-loving obsession of my favorites that are never the focus of the main show or the mini-series. Just be prepared to listen to me ramble for a few OK? I mean you’re following me I can assume that’s why you’re here? Right?
Right! So let’s dive right in!
My faves! The always fun to have around, but never utilized enough. Bismuth, Lapis, and Peridot. So with how the series is going so in the confusing cannon that is this show. They never explicitly state where these characters live so I got to draw the conclusions for myself. By now I think it’s heavily implied that they are supposed to be living in Little Homeworld... but I have no concrete evidence. It’s just implied. So the conclusion I’ve drawn for myself because I write these two of these characters (Peri and Lappy)
I’ve decided independently in my own canon that they live in the strange alien houses beside the Bismuth Forge. A modest little place but just right for two dorks who are willing to use the plot of land robbed of Uncle Andy. I was worried about them.
With Eyeball Ruby and Aquamarine’s demands coming true coincidentally about Steven 1. Bubbling his friends, (Little Graduation) 2. Destroying his home (Prickly Pear) via Cactus 🌵 Steven! The last demand is 3. Burn Little Homeworld to the Ground!!! Ssss-I don’t know, It only makes me worry about the future state of nonexistent homes... because I know the Crewniverse 💕Loves their foreshadowing.
Bismuth being a team player on the CG’s (and Bismuth being the sweet little mom friend that she is! 💗Aww, that’s how I have to call her, by law that’s how I see her.) I feel like she would go to great lengths to keep these two safe right? Okay? I mean, did-did you see her in Change Your Mind? She was vibing so well with these two! The Movie? Psst-Forget about they’re together the whole freaking time! Aww! She’s pretty much just signed the Adoption papers!! Anyways, Yeah back to my theory about keeping them safe.
With everything going on in the mini-series future it’ll give me a real peace of mind to know they’ll have somewhere to go if on you know if screaming YouTuber Awestruck Vox is right about the SCHOOL AND TOWN BURNING 🔥 TO THE GROUND!!!
Phew! I would feel safest knowing they could go stay at the temple while their homes get rebuilt if that happens. I would also love-love if they could have sleepovers with Steven and the others. All together. (Please Rebecca just to make me feel better. It’s not asking for much.🥺) As well as Please, Please, Please, let Spinel come out and play. She’s in the Intro but neither she nor the Diamonds have been seen or even mentioned for that matter. I wouldn’t mind some interaction between my goofballs and her. For all y’all you know they’d get along great!
I know I usually grieve a ton about them not living in the temple. But they like really get shafted. I also know I’m a selfish baby who wants them to get more attention and affection but hey. I’m biased and they’re my favorites. So... yeah. Just put them up for a few days Veteran Main three that’s all I want. Get to know each other a little more. It should be fuuun~ you never know what these crazy kids are going to do. It’ll be freaking hilarious alright! It’ll be great! I would laugh so hard watching Amethyst and Pearl get annoyed by them. Maybe you can teach a lesson everyone can relate to... sharing space with obnoxious family members. Hee Hee.
ESPECIALLY Steven. Boy! You know, I feel as though more than ever he could use time with his kooky out of town (aunts? cousins? siblings? Whatever they are to Stevie ya know. ((They certainly ain’t moms in my eyes at least. Too irresponsible.)) it would make me very pleased. It will please me. Lapis and Peridot are like the only ones besides Connie that don’t dwell on the Mother=Son weird thing. The support these two give would be so great for him.
Yeah. Include everyone who is in the intro we need to see Bismuth and Connie again. Hell Connie is RUNNING OR RIDING LION ALONG WITH THE MAIN TEAM!!! I hope we see her Soon! (psst. I’m sure the Connie rpers would like that. Just a suggestion.)
Thank you, for listening to me ramble it’s so nice to talk to all of you. Sharing my hopes and dreams for my muses and favorite characters. I hope you took something entertaining from out of this. Hopefully, it doesn’t sound like me bitching for what feels like hours. Because I assure you I love the series. I really want to know how Steven universe future is going to wrap up. I’m not dying from no apocalypse without figuring out what happens dammit!
Thank you for listening. Bye-Bye! ^D^

Little Turquoise is Lapis and Peridot’s love child 🤫💚💙
I’ve got enough inspiration to continue my Lazuli Family AU!. I really regret burrying this AU for a year. The first drawing is from last year but i just linearted and colored it. I posted the second doodles on twitter before and the last doodles are totally brand new.
Basically this AU is about Peri and Lappy dealing with their new parents life™️. Turquoise is basically their fusion(?) so if they fuse in the show and isn’t like little turquoise at all, maybe i will change two or three things in her design.
Anyway!, Fun Fact: @tsumire0301, @jearwork and me did a doujinshi of this AU last year, you can see my samples here

B-Squared’s Top 10 Games of 2019!
2019 was a year full to the brim of GREAT games, and as is the custom at the end of the year, people love to rank their favorites, so…I’d like to do the same! Of course my own tastes might be different from yours so if you don’t see a thing on here that you liked, chances are I didn’t like it…or more likely, there’s just too many great games out this year, and I couldn’t get to everything. I’d like to stress to that the rankings don’t really matter all that much, especially the farther down we go. Everything on here is an easy recommendation. Without any further ado…let’s take a look at my Top 10 Games of 2019~
#10 - River City Girls
Tumblr media
I love action games, but 2D beat-em-ups never really clicked for me. They were largely before my time and I was thinking that it’d be impossible to get me into one in the current era of gaming. And then I saw Marian’s redesign for River City Girls and bought the game. What can I say? Abs are a great sales pitch. But seriously, getting Wayforward on the helm of a beloved classic franchise is already a great way to pique my interest, and while there’s SOME aspects of this game that I don’t quite gel with, it’s a fun, colorful romp through a ridiculous universe that I’d LOVE to see more of down the line. Featuring a role-reversal, with the girlfriends saving the boyfriends this time, River City Girls has gorgeous pixel art, an AMAZING pop-synth soundtrack that’s worth the price alone, and it’s a game that clearly had fun with the concept and that fun rubs off on you. From the stylish animated boss intros, to the co-op fun that can be had with a friend, everything in this game is brimming with charm. Basic NPCs have great designs in their own right, being able to recruit enemies as assists is a neat idea, and it all adds up to a fun, bite-sized adventure with a bit of depth under the hood if you’re willing to give it a look. Can the character designers get a raise for this game, please? And let Megan McDuffie just do all the songs from now on. ALL OF THEM.
#9 - Astral Chain
Tumblr media
Most people assumed if we were going to get a Switch exclusive game by Platinum this year, it’d be Bayonetta 3 but instead Nintendo surprised us with Astral Chain, the anime cop action game we didn’t know we wanted. The game boasts great visuals and is probably the most content-rich Platinum game ever made for starters, but for me the true draw is in the combat. Playing as your police officer in tandem with an alien creature known as a Legion, this tag-team action game is unlike pretty much anything else on the market. While the game starts off very simplistic, the Legion itself moving and attacking with no input from the player, over time more and more options unlock and things get considerably more complicated. By game’s end, you’re drowning in options, and once things clicked, combat was always a treat. With plenty of enemies to practice with, Legions to master and a gigantic post-game filled with challenging encounters, I had more fun with the combat in this game than I did with a lot of other games this year. That said, I do feel that Astral Chain could have benefitted from trimming some fat or rethinking its overall structure. For being a new IP with some bold ideas, I’m willing to accept these as kinks that can hopefully be ironed out in a sequel. Oh, and add Lappy to Smash already. You know you want to, Sakurai.
#8 - BABA IS YOU
Tumblr media
Puzzle games are hard sells for me, since I don’t like the frustration that often comes from being stuck. You feel dumb, you get embarrassed and turn the game off in shame, or at least that’s my experience. But then sometimes you get a game so clever, so…weird, that you can’t help but be sucked into it. BABA IS YOU is a block-pushing puzzle game, with the twist being that the “rules” of a particular stage are often physically present in levels and are in fact blocks that can be pushed and manipulated by the player. ROCK is PUSH, WALL is STOP, FLAG is WIN and BABA is YOU. But what if you can’t touch the flag because the wall is in the way? Well, make it so WALL is PUSH to move it aside, or maybe make it so that BABA is WIN and you become the win condition itself. As the game goes on, more modifiers and rules are slowly introduced and absorbed into your own internal logic of the game, logic that increasingly has to be broken and remade to suit your needs. It’s a very empowering experience when the solution clicks and the results can often be hilarious and surprising. This game also GOES PLACES the further you go in, and I’d rather not ruin that surprise for anyone who might be looking into the game. Definitely one of the most innovated titles I’ve played in a LONG time. BABA is GOOD.
#7 - Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid
Tumblr media
OK, so…hear me out. Power Rangers was a franchise I was obsessed with as a kid, and while I don’t follow it anymore, there’s still some love for it flowing in my veins. So when a small, no-name studio puts out a Power Ranger fighting game that takes the simplified controls of Smash Bros. and the tag-team craziness of Marvel vs. Capcom and slaps it all together for a cool twenty bucks or so? Well you got yourself a purchase and it ended up being WAY more fun than I expected. Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid is far from the best looking fighter on the market, it’s single-player content is lacking, and it’s roster, while interesting, isn’t as big as a lot of the competition, but damn if it isn’t fun to play. With characters taken from across the franchise’s long history, from the live-action movie reboot to the comic books, each choice has been inspired and resulted in an incredibly varied cast. With no crazy inputs for special moves, combined with a tagging system that lets you cycle through your three-Ranger team quickly, the game is the best kind of chaotic fun, but true masters can command that chaos and channel it into cool combos that make you want to say “Morphinominal!” Considering it’s a budget title, it’s also received a fair amount of updates throughout the year to pad out the roster with both free and paid DLC fighters, a full story mode and improvements to the netcode and overall presentation., so if you passed on it at launch, it’s much improved now. It’s not gonna be a fighting game on everyone’s radar, but I’d rather support it than the grind-heavy slog Mortal Kombat has become…Now just hurry up and add that monster that baked the Rangers into a pizza!
#6 - New Super Lucky’s Tale
Tumblr media
If your name isn’t Mario or Sonic, 3D platformers are effectively dead. That said, there’s been a few up-and-comers in recent years that are trying to revive the genre. Hat Kid from A Hat in Time, the duo of Yooka-Laylee, and now Lucky from the folks at Playful Studios. The cute fox has quite the history, starting from the Oculus Rift title, Lucky’s Tale, to a full-fledged platformer on the Xbox One X, Super Lucky’s Tale and now the enhanced port/reimagining New Super Lucky’s Tale on Switch. Halfway between a full-blown sequel, and enhanced edition, the game takes assets from the Xbox original game, tweaking and refining everything from visuals to controls to level layouts. The result is a game that is incredibly well-polished. It looks great, Lucky is a treat to control as he moves from jumping, burrowing and sliding around fluidly, and the variety on display keeps things interesting. We’ve got full 3D levels, 2D levels, auto-runners, and even some marble maze levels and puzzles thrown in for good measure. It’s not a hard game, but it IS incredibly fun, and well made. We don’t get many 3D platformers these days, so cherish what little comes of the genre. I hope Playful and Nintendo continue to collaborate, as they really seem more at home here. Just…maybe don’t add more words to the title of the next game, guys.
#5 - Katana Zero
Tumblr media
There’s no nice way to say it: there’s too many pixel-based, side-scrolling indie games out there, so the ones that DO stand out deserve to be celebrated. Katana Zero has a real ‘80s flair for starters, using bright neon, TV and VCR visual effects, and a synth soundtrack to give it some real style. When a game kicks off with you slowing down time and reflecting a bullet back at an enemy with your katana, you make a good first impression! Add in the trial-and-error that is planning the perfect route through a stage, the satisfying slicing and dicing of enemies, the unique, challenging boss encounters, and you have a game that was on my radar for a while, before I finally got into it at the end of the year. Its storyline is pretty interesting too, with some slight variances in how events unfold depending on your words and actions, though it ending on a bit of a cliffhanger is a bummer. That said, when a game leaves you wanting more, there’s worse problems to have. At the very least, there’s some DLC hinted at that might be interesting, as well as the implications that this is the merely the first in a trilogy, and at this point I’m game for whatever developer Askiisoft has in store.
#4 - Luigi’s Mansion 3
Tumblr media
The GameCube was an odd era for Nintendo, as they attempted to innovate and try new ideas rather than rely purely on their old standbys. Case-in-point, rather than launch the console with a new Mario platformer, his second-banana brother Luigi got his first starring role in what would become the Luigi’s Mansion series. While not making QUITE as big of a splash as maybe Nintendo hoped, it’s garnered a decent fanbase, and when a sequel was announced for 3DS, people ate it up. Considering the gap between the first and second games, I think many people were surprised at the relatively quick turn-around for the third installment. I was also surprised at the overall quality and how much I enjoyed digging into it. For starters, Luigi’s Mansion 3 is easily one of the better-looking Switch titles, boasting some great lighting and particle effects, with some fun physics implemented for just about everything in the massive mansion. Luigi and company are animated with a lot of expressiveness that never gets old, and the music sets the tone perfectly too. From a gameplay standpoint, the toolset Luigi gains gives him ample options to poke at every nook and cranny, with the slimy doppelganger Gooigi being the clear stand-out. Some of the floors of the Last Resort hotel that Luigi must ascend are particularly massive and intricate too, some floors feeling like Legend of Zelda-style dungeons. While not a particularly challenging game, it’s still really satisfying to poke and prod at everything in sight, sucking in all the coins, gold bars and stacks of paper bills you can handle, not to mention slamming the ghosts around like the Hulk does to Loki. There’s also multiplayer! That I…haven’t really touched but…hey! More bang for your buck, surely!
#3 – Dragon Quest XI S
Tumblr media
I don’t consider myself a huge fan of JRPGs. Or at least that’s what I thought before I tried out the Dragon Quest XI demo on Switch. I ended up falling for the game hard and bought the full release, carrying my demo data over and not stopping until I hit credits. Despite having never touched a Dragon Quest game before, outside of an hour or so of VIII, I was overcome with this feeling of nostalgia when it came to this game. That’s because Dragon Quest is THE quintessential JRPG game, the originator of all that we take for granted today. It was nice to feel right at home with a simple, effective combat system, rather than having to watch games re-invent the wheel in an attempt to stand out from the pack (sorry Xenoblade), and the story itself, while predictable and a little basic at times, was told well and told earnestly. It really nailed the feeling of going on a grand adventure, with enough twists on the formula to keep things interesting. The turn-based combat was elementary, but always presented me with fair challenges and lots of ways to solve the encounters laid before me, with enough quality-of-life features added in to minimize grind and make things more convenient. The Switch version of Dragon Quest XI featured a bunch of new content on top of a game that had more than enough going for it, and it’s clear a lot of work was done to make this port as faithful as could be, and it stands out not just as a great port on a system known for some shoddy ones, but as a title that’s brimming with as much polish and quality to rival first-party Switch titles. Don’t ban Hero in Smash and don’t miss out on this game if you haven’t taken the plunge already!
#2 – Devil May Cry 5
Tumblr media
The Devil May Cry franchise has had its share of ups and downs over the years. For every game that’s considered a success, you have another game that doesn’t quite measure up. For years many thought the franchise was dead in the water after the attempted reboot, DMC: Devil May Cry failed to grow its audience, but when Microsoft’s E3 2018 show revealed to us a new installment, fans were ecstatic. Devil May Cry 5 boasts crisp visuals, deep combat and trims the fat, removing the wonky platforming and puzzles of earlier games to create a high-octane action experience that ultimately exceeded fan expectations. Its storyline firmly plants Devil May Cry 4’s Nero as a main character in his own right, wraps up the story of the Sparda brothers neatly, and if this ended up being the last title in the series, I think it’s that rare ending that ends up being totally satisfying. Combat is the real draw here though, the game giving players three distinct characters to learn and master. Nero’s robotic Devil Breaker arms allow him a decent amount of variety, while having a balanced, beginner-friendly combat style for new players. Dante remains the king of variety, having more weapons than ever before combined with his signature style switching, though the game is actually designed with all these options in mind so he doesn’t end up breaking the game like he did in 4. Newcomer V ends up being a breath of fresh air, controlling up to three demonic summons at once, forcing players to really think more strategically. The music is incredible too; Nero’s own theme, Devil Trigger, has been stuck in my head since last year and I don’t see it leaving any time soon. All things considered, Devil May Cry 5 might be the best game in the franchise, and a worthy contender for game of the year personally. Now if only we had a special edition with Vergil and the ladies playable…
#1 - Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Tumblr media
I got into the Fire Emblem series with Awakening and really liked it a lot, however Fates, the next installment, left a bad taste in my mouth. I couldn’t really get into Echoes, itself a remake of the second game in the series, and I began to wonder if this franchise was really for me. I was willing to give Three Houses a shot, but I was not prepared for the game to blow past all my expectations. Fire Emblem: Three Houses isn’t just a good game, it’s a game that’s redeemed a franchise that’s stumbled a bit in recent years, and it likely cements Fire Emblem as a core Nintendo franchise for years to come. It has class, depth and real heart...with only minor creepy or pervy elements! Making a grand return to home consoles after more than a decade on handhelds, it goes big and it ultimately paid off, on track to become the best-selling entry in the series. The school setting might seem weird at first, and I wondered how well I’d adjust to it, but being able to instruct your units and influence their growth in battle was worth the learning curve. Things are introduced slowly enough that the flow of the game becomes relatively easy to manage, if a bit time-consuming overall. With four distinct storylines you can explore, TONS of character interactions and some interesting tweaks to the strategic gameplay the series is known for, I’m confident in saying that Three Houses is well-worth a purchase for newcomers to the franchise. Divine Pulse is a great quality-of-life addition that lets you undo mistakes, rather than force you to start over from scratch, and overall the UI and layout of the game gives you enough information to make informed decisions without overwhelming you. Makes me wonder how we survived before the games showed us who enemies would target on their turns before now. Admittedly, some aspects of the progression have some issues, especially at endgame, and visually the game really is not up to par most of the time, but these end up being tiny blemishes in the long run for me. They certainly weren’t bad enough to prevent me from starting a new path the instant I finished my first route. If I have one request…just make Claude a gay option. Give the people what they want, Nintendo!
Honorable Mentions
I’d like to add on some honorable mentions here before we close things out, though most of these are things I didn’t even get a chance to play, but they certainly might have made this list. For one, Resident Evil 2 Remake seems like a high-quality reinterpretation of the survival-horror classic, but I can’t do horror so I’ll likely pass it up. It’s also for that reason that I might not get to Control but I might try jumping out of my comfort zone for that one. The confusion surrounding both The Other Worlds AND The Outer Wilds is funny, but they’re both space-based games I’d be keen on getting to at some point down the line; the former is a great Western RPG by the folks who made the GOOD Fallout games, while the latter is an interesting space-faring puzzler with some interesting mechanics I’d rather not spoil for those not more in-the-know. Indie titles Sayonara Wild Hearts and GRIS definitely caught my attention with their great visuals, and in the case of the former, its soundtrack, even if the gameplay wasn’t quite there for me, and the weird fighting-game-but-kinda-RPG that is Indivisible demands my attention sooner or later. Bloodstained is the Castlevania follow-up I keep forgetting is out, and I hear great things about Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair. The team behind the Yakuza series recently made a spin-off of sorts, Judgment that hit the West this year and while I like the Yakuza series for its quirky tone and fun combat, there’s still six other games I’d have to sift through, so going with Judgment, which is set to possibly begin a new franchise, seems like a good alternative. And how could I forget the likes of Shovel Knight as we finally receive the last expansion that’s been years in the making? I haven’t touched the King of Cards expansion yet, but I have the upmost faith in anything Yacht Club makes, so that’s surely a game of the year contender. 2019 was crazy good! Glad to close the year out with so much quality, and tons of great stuff to add to the ever-growing backlog.
Hope you had some good gaming memories made this year!

Ah, I guess I might as well explain my ‘backstory’ lol
Well, imagine a tiny, shy child curled up on the bed. Under the blankets. It’s late, and I was looking through YouTube for entertainment before I fell. I didn’t know of anything at the time, only YouTube. I found something in my recommendations, a tickle scene from a cartoon came into me. I clicked it out of curiosity, and suddenly, I found myself watching with intrigue. So, every night, I watched a bunch of tickle videos on the private setting, and manage to sneak away from my parents knowing.
Undertale is what made me learn of tickle art! So I read and saw a lot of tickle content of it. It inspired me to draw tickle art. First art, not so good but I felt proud!
That’s when I came on Tumblr, having explored the tickle tags online and coming across thetickleeraven, bless her she was the one who took me to the tickle blog in the first place. Anyways, I made mines and made some content. I was inspired by the teases I saw here and there, and then decided to write my own. I gained friends along the way like Wolfy and Alice. The first thing that started my road down the ‘Teasing Ler’ that everyone claims i am for some reason was reading one of my friends’ tickle fic. I rewrote it for fun and i realized just how fun it is to just write a bunch of teases. It gave me joy to make people laugh and flustered.
This tickling interest also helped me provide a basis for art. Anatomy is key! When i wrote my teases, I always think of drawing something to accompany them.
Flash forward, the first Lappy is gaming blog. That’s when my teases suddenly explode in popularity and I felt overjoyed. I got into tickle monsters on my old account, lapisotaku120, and continued it through art.
Let’s come to today. I’m here, still loving tickling to the very end and writing teases. An old ego of my own persona, Lapler, is getting her own story, my tickle monsters have improved and grown, and I’ve gotten new friends.
Let’s just say..tickling is what made me who I am today.
Tickling means to me of happiness, comfort, it can mean a lot of things. It can be used for torturing playfully, for more innocent or sexual means..I find tickling to be something that brightens my day and others. And what can I say? It comes into my art, and occasionally a few video games because who doesn’t want to hear their faves laugh? I’m surprised that today..people still find me intimidating. I promise I don’t bite y’all ^^. Those I’ve looked up to have became my friends, and I lost and made some. No matter what, I’m pushing towards a future comfortable enough that we are allowed to share interests.
Thank you, tickling ^^
so I’ve been thinking a bit about what tickling means to me lately…it’s always been a Complicated Relationship and this is probably gonna be v nonsensical and weird, but it’s the first time I’ve ever felt able to talk about it in 27 years lol, so I’m gonna try~
when I was little I was pretty shameless about wanting to be tickled, playing tickling games with friends/family etc. but it had to be under very specific circumstances. since I can remember, seeing tickling as straight up torture/non consensual really freaked me out, which made certain cartoons/kid’s shows super fun as you can imagine >.>;;
So as I got older…not gonna go into all the Mental Health Details but yeah I was a very lonely and depressed teenager yay 🙌 and I was kinda trying to repress the Thing, though I knew it was still A Thing (just another of the Many Weird and Bad Things About Me). I really don’t know how to describe it but… it pretty much turned a phobia?? but also still a fascination?? definitely for a long time I was legit terrified by the thought of being tickled, or of tickling anyone else irl. which sounds and is ridiculous lmao, especially when I still read tickle scenes in books/fanfics over and over…but the “wrong” kind (for lack of a better word) would really unsettle me.
and it’s only really recently in the last couple of years - as my general mental health has improved, I guess?? that I’ve been able to start accepting this part of me, enjoying and even creating tickling content without feeling weird or bad or ashamed about it. and especially accepting that I might really really super obviously actually want to be tickled myself a lot sometimes >\>;; I still have a lot of fears, doubts and insecurities relating to that, but I’m genuinely so happy and grateful that I discovered this community and made this blog. y’all are really awesome, even if I’m still shy and awkward and bad at interacting lol, I’ve made some amazing friends here and I can’t express how much that means to me 💕💕 hopefully someday i’ll feel ready to share this part of me with other people I’m close to irl, but we’ll just have to see how things progress~
welp idek what that was lol but it was nice to get it off my chest…?? ^w^;; tysm if you actually read all that nonsense, I’d def be interested to hear you guys’ experiences/stories/anything you wanna if you feel like it! either way you’re awesome and ily 💜💚

Introvert Vs. Extrovert: Differentiating Between The Two Personality Types

Introvert Vs. Extrovert: Differentiating Between The Two Personality Types
Introvert Vs. Extrovert: Differentiating Between The Two Personality Types Harini Natarajan Hyderabd040-395603080 October 29, 2019
Based on the nature of the different kinds of people, there are two types of personalities – introvert and extrovert. A person is generally considered an introvert if they are reserved and do not open up to others easily. On the other hand, when a person is talkative, social, and makes friends easily and quickly, they are considered an extrovert.
Introverts choose to remain isolated or prefer the company of a few close friends. Extroverts are outgoing and outspoken and enjoy talking and being around other people.
However, are all extroverts outgoing, and are all introverts shy? Not really. Understanding these personality types can help you manage your relationships with different kinds of people better. To help you understand the true difference between introverts and extroverts, we have listed the general differences between the two. Take a peek!
What Is An Introvert?
Shutterstock
A person who is solely interested in their own mental self is referred to as an introvert. People who are introverts are mostly reserved, most probably because they are preoccupied with their own feelings and thoughts. That’s why they need a lot of personal space and privacy.
Introverted people feel more comfortable and energized when they are left on their own. That is why they prefer solitary activities over social interaction. They prefer listening to music, reading, writing, etc. over partying and bar hopping. They have their private world of feelings, facts, and fantasies.
Many people believe that introverts are mostly shy and socially awkward. They are more of active listeners than speakers. They have a few close friends and do not make friends easily. However, their friendships are deep-rooted.

Extroverts are those who love to interact with and be surrounded by other people. People who are extroverts are outspoken, socially confident, and gregarious. They love human interaction above almost everything else and thrive in social situations.
Extroverts focus on practical realities over inner feelings and opinions. They avoid solitude. They are way more informal, social, and enthusiastic than introverts. In addition, their communication skills are amazing. Individuals who have this type of personality enjoy social gatherings and parties and strive to become the center of attraction. They have the same attitude in public and private.
However, these two personality types are the very extremes on the scale. Most of us human beings fall somewhere in the middle of this spectrum. Introverts are of different types.
What Are The Different Types Of Introverts?
There are four kinds of introversion – social, thinking, anxious, and restrained. Many introverts are a combination of all four types. Let’s take a look at each:
Social: Social introversion is the most accepted and understood type of introversion. Social introverts prefer socializing with small groups instead of hanging out with large ones. They can, sometimes, prefer no group at all. Those who have social introversion often prefer solitude. Social introverts love to stay in with a book or their lappy or stick to small gatherings with close family or friends. They avoid large parties with strangers like the plague. However, they don’t do this out of shyness or anxiety.
Thinking: Thinking introverts don’t have the same aversion to social events or people. But they are thoughtful, introspective, and self-reflective. They are deep thinkers who prefer to take time out to think rather than party with people or carry out mindless activities for shallow entertainment.
Anxious: Anxious introverts seek solitude because they are extremely shy and feel awkward and self-conscious around other people (especially strangers). They are not confident about their own social skills. Most often, their anxiety doesn’t disappear, even when they are all alone. Anxious introverts have a tendency to ruminate (to obsess over the things that may or already have gone wrong).
Restrained: Restrained introverts operate at a slightly slower pace than other individuals. They generally think twice before they speak or act. They also may take some time to get going; they can’t just wake up and spring into action. They are slow and steady and are afraid of making a mistake in haste. That is why they may seem to take forever to do basic chores.
Just like introverts, even different types of extroverts exist.
What Are The Different Types Of Extroverts?
Extroverts are often known to be the life of the party. Their vibrant, outgoing nature draws other people to them, and they have a very hard time avoiding attention. They love interaction. Here are the different types of extroverts that exist:
Extroverted Sensors (ES): Extroverted sensors love being stimulated by the information they sense from all around them. They use their five senses (sight, hear, taste, touch, and smell) to make sense of things and what is happening to them. They use these to understand the environment. Rather than being concerned about theorizing and hypothesizing, ES trust themselves and their own personal experiences. They prefer to be occupied with hands-on activities that provide intense physical stimulation (such as sports). Extroverted sensors are most often the greatest risk-takers and seek adventure. They have a tendency to get bored easily.
Extroverted Intuitors (EN): Extroverted intuitors like focusing on the possibilities as well as delving into abstract ideas, rather than focusing on what is actually present. They are stimulated by deep, intellectual conversations and friendly debates in which they can discuss their viewpoints and exchange ideas with others. If ENs are bored or are feeling unfulfilled in stagnant conversations, they don’t have a problem moving on to a better source. Extroverted intuitors go to a party not for fun but because they are stimulated by the thought of what hasn’t happened yet or what could potentially happen.
Extroverted Feelers: Extroverted feelers are extremely people-oriented. They love being around other people because it provides them the opportunity to learn from them as well as share their own experiences. Although extroverted feelers generally need to be alone some time to recharge, just like an introvert, they need the least amount of time to do so. Being around other people gives them fulfillment and a sense of purpose.
Extroverted Thinkers: Extroverted thinkers are natural leaders with their confident and decisive nature. They focus on producing results and value logic and analytical thinking. They are goal-oriented individuals and are often over-achievers. They enjoy creating unique solutions for difficult problems and are driven by new challenges. Extroverted thinkers get recharged by climbing up the social ladder at every chance they get.
In the following section, we highlight the major ways introverts and extroverts differ from each other.
Difference Between Introverts And Extroverts
Common Introvert Traits
Introverts enjoy spending time alone.
Introverts are self-contained.
Introverts don’t like to be the center of attention.
Introverts value one-on-one relationships over group interactions.
Introverts are more inward-focused.
Introverts think before they speak.
Introverts do not accept change easily.
Introverts are not as talkative.
Introverts need time alone to reflect and recharge.
Introverts like to work in quiet, private, and independent environments.
Introverts focus deeply on specific subjects.
Introverts can concentrate deeply for long periods.
Introverts can be considered reserved.
Introverts have few quality friends. They focus on quality over quantity.
Common Extrovert Traits
Extroverts tend to have large social networks.
Extroverts like and enjoy being the center of attention.
Extroverts tend to think out loud.
Extroverts make quick decisions.
Extroverts get recharged from being around other people and social interactions.
Extroverts are enthusiastic, outgoing, and positive.
Extroverts thrive in open and team-oriented work settings.
Extroverts are gregarious in nature.
Extroverts get easily distracted.
Extroverts openly communicate about themselves with others, both known and unknown.
Extroverts prefer to spend time with family and friends.
Extroverts accept change easily.
Extroverts are outward focused.
How To Become An Introvert?
Here are a few things you can do to become more of an introvert:
Pursue solitary hobbies, such as painting, golf, gardening, playing an instrument, reading and writing, and hiking.
Stay in on Friday/Saturday nights.
Focus on personal relationships.
Speak less.
Pursue interests and a career that require lesser interactions. Writing and editing, court reporting, archival work, computer programming, research science, or library science are some examples.
Make your living space cozy and comfortable.
Focus on a single task at a time.
Do a lot of in-depth thinking and research on projects.
Take on solo responsibilities. Work alone.
How To Become An Extrovert?
Value extroversion. Extroverts are often portrayed in a negative light as people who speak before they think. Not true. They have some great qualities. They make friends easily, are comfortable in crowds, and are the life of the party.
Observe and learn from an extrovert you admire.
Fake it until you make it.
Start small. Take out 10 minutes of your day to be around people, and gradually increase the time.
Hang around people. Even if you want to cancel plans, don’t.
Do things for other people.

Introvert Vs. Extrovert

“There is no such thing as a pure introvert or extrovert. Such a person would be in the lunatic asylum.” – Carl G. Jung
Recent research has shown that our genetic makeup has a lot to do with what personalities we have. It doesn’t matter how shy or outgoing we are, introversion and extroversion can actually be defined by where we derive our energy from (or how we recharge our minds).
Introverts tend to recharge by spending some private, quality time alone. They feel drained from being around people for a long period, particularly if the crowd is large. Extroverts gain energy from being around other people. They actually find that their energy and happiness is sapped when they spend too much time on their own, away from other people. They recharge by being super social, going to parties, hanging out with buddies every now and then, and spending time with family.
When it comes to talking, introverts tend to listen more than they speak. In fact, they think multiple times before speaking. Extroverts are the exact opposites. They speak their minds and seldom hold back on things.
Introverts detest change. They cannot easily adapt to new situations. On the other hand, extroverts accept change easily and even welcome them.
How The Brains Of Introverts And Extroverts Operate

As mentioned before, there is a vast difference in the brains of extroverts and introverts in terms of how they process rewards (1), (2). Also, their genetic makeup differs a great deal. Extroverted brains respond very strongly when the gambles pay off. This was determined in an experiment that was conducted on people (3). A brain scanner found that when the gambles paid off, the extroverted group of people showed a stronger response in two brain regions, the amygdala and the nucleus accumbens.
The latter is part of the dopamine system. It affects how we learn things and is known for motivating us to look for rewards. Extroverts’ brains tend to push them towards taking risks, enjoying unfamiliar or surprising situations, and even seeking out novelty more than other people. The amygdala processes emotional stimuli, which, in fact, give extroverts that rush of anticipation and excitement when they try something stimulating (that may otherwise overwhelm an introvert).
This doesn’t happen with an introvert. They may not experience the same kind of excitement when undertaking something new or challenging. At a deeper level, an introvert may experience discomfort as well, though this doesn’t always have to be true.
Introverts also tend to notice all details, making them self-conscious about the mistakes they are committing. This usually means that they have a busy mind that is constantly thinking about what is going to happen.
There is also a difference in how introverts and extroverts tend to process stimuli. The stimulation is processed differently, depending on the type of your personality. Extroverts have a much shorter pathway. The stimulus runs through the area where touch, taste, and visual and auditory sensory processing takes place. In the case of introverts, the stimuli run through a long and complicated pathway in the areas of the brain associated with planning, remembering, and solving problems.
In addition to introverts and extroverts, there is another personality type that is as unique as it is interesting. They are the ambiverts.
Who Are Ambiverts?

Introverts and extroverts are extremes of the personality scale. Most people fall somewhere in the middle. Most of us tend to lean one way or the other, but there are some people who are quite balanced and have a bit of both personality traits. These people are called ambiverts.
Ambivert people exhibit both introverted and extroverted tendencies. They generally love being around people, but after a decent period, this begins to drain them. Also, they enjoy solitude and quiet, but not for a long time. Ambiverts recharge their minds with a balanced mixture of social interaction and quality alone time. Though ambiverts may seem to be the most boring personality type between the three, their balanced nature could actually be a blessing.
With this guide, you will now be able to identify these two personality types. It is great to have both kinds of friends because you will get to learn so much from them. However, if you tend to lean towards one end of the spectrum, you can try incorporating a few traits of the opposite personality type so that you can enjoy life a little bit more.
Are you an extrovert or an introvert? Let us know in the comments section below – yes, you too introverts! We would love to hear from you!

Oh look, one of these
@damnit-samnit tagged me so I guess I'm gonna do the thing. Move over bitches, I'm joining the cool kids table!
Name: TiKi
Birthday: November 26
Zodiac: Sagittarius baby!
Height: a powerful and impressive 5'1"... 😤😭 (i believe that's roughly 155cm for those of you that use measurements that make sense) I'm short...
Hobbies: Let's see... I enjoy playing video games. I love to sing, but get bashful/self-conscious about doing so in front of other people now. I miss karaoke sometimes. I used to do creative things (draw, paint, write) but haven't done that in awhile. I'm trying to learn to use a tablet for art. Although I usually used traditional media, I'm no stranger to digital. I'm just used to photoshop on a computer. My old Lappy just doesn't cut it anymore, so tablet here I come!
Favorite colors: BLUE. (Specifically, royal blue types.)
Favorite books: Probably Lord of the Rings. I love fantasy stuff, comics, a little bit of everything. I'd like to read more Neil Gaiman or Seanan McGuire, and so many others. I don't really have time for reading right now, and that makes me sad. I used to love it. I still seek out recommendations, waiting for the day I'll be able to lose myself in another world again.
Last song listened to: Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild Guitar Medley by FamilyJules. Give this dude a watch. He makes fantastic video game medleys. Zelda is my fuckin JAM and BotW is awesome. My favorite is Link to the Past, though. Jules' LttP med is great, too.
Last film watched: Ah, geez, I'm not really sure. Again, not much time for movies, but I do like to watch stuff with the spousal unit after the gremlins kids go to bed. I'm hoping we can watch Endgame or the bnha movie sometime soon.
Btw - I ADORE SCRAWNY ALL MIGHT.
Inspiration or muse: I wish I knew what set it off so I could do that more often! Maybe when the youngest kidlet goes to school and I have a bit more time I'll be able to figure that out.
Dream job: I'd love to do something creative, but don't wanna burn myself out. I have a computer science degree, but companies seem to be way too demanding of tech departments, yet understaff them terribly. I think I'd be happy with something that has a flexible schedule and allows me to contribute financially to my family. Bonus points if it is pretty low stress and doesn't get too monotonous. Y'know, get some muns and still have time and energy for some funs.
Meaning behind url: Well, TiKi is my nickname irl, and I've always been a bit of a geek. The rhyming is a nice bonus.
Tag 8 people:
Um, I don't really know many people on here. So... maybe I'll just make shit up and see if any of it works. My apologies if I tag someone real, but we should be friends bc your url is awesome.
