arthurandy/nforever nooo arthur and y/n were supposed to be a couple and they weren't and y/n liked??!?
arthurfanss today we will talk about how artur looks in these photos or what about y/n
user567 y/n and artur were and are rivals from what is known, they were not even friends
currently MP Motorsports
A meeting like a meeting I didn't really care about them why hmm maybe because they've been talking for two fucking years about having to change tactics and whether they will or not. Browsing through instagram, out of boredom, I saw a post on the proposed one and something seemed to me that the boy from this post seemed strangely familiar after the comment I saw that it was Artur. Instantly my heart was shattered and tears welled up in my eyes. On Dennis's face, I saw this strangely laughing, terrified expression.
"Y/n if you feel bad, you can go to the toilet, you know, anyway, it's the end of the meeting" I heard from the mouth of one of the strategists.
I ignored everyone's gaze and, like the rest, got up from my chair and left the conference room. Someone grabbed my arm, I turned around and saw it was Dennis (the one who is my best friend from karting, let's say he protected me from stupid assholes and I protected him from stupid girls) Hauger.
"It's okay you look miserable you know y/n I'm getting worried" I didn't have the strength to even respond so I showed him my phone "that's an asshole"
That's how only he and I knew about my "crush" despite everything he tried to prove to me that it was only temporary, but it wasn't. I felt him hug me so I hugged him tighter. I felt tears running down my cheeks immediately in my head I felt terribly pathetic but I can see that I felt betrayed and why? Let's think maybe it's because lately I thought I had an advantage, because he flirted with me, maybe because I was a cheap whore to him, that something happened, that I was just stupid. Our hug is over.
"It's not your fault, he just doesn't have much taste" I felt a smile appear on my face, I still don't know why he is on my side. "If it makes you feel any better, we're all going to the club after the race tonight and I'm pretty sure he'll be there with her so we can give him a reason to be jealous."
"Sometimes I don't deserve you golden boy you know?"
Without words, we set off to the garage to gather for the race. It wasn't an awkward silence, on the contrary, it was comfortable. Suddenly I felt someone enter me.
"I'm sorry I didn't see you" that uplifting tone of voice was telling me something so I looked up and saw Arthur.
"It's okay" I said with a slight smile and kept walking even though I could feel his eyes on my back.
A moment passed and it was after the race p3 is not such a bad result even though if it wasn't for arthur I would have had p2. After the time spent and the media interviews, I went to change clothes and arrange a time with Dennis to pick me up from the hotel. I got in the car and headed towards the hotel but my attention was caught by a dingy Mexican restaurant I had a bad mood I don't know if it was because of the whole thing with Arthur or because instead of p2 I have p3 or maybe because I have my period. Probably summarizing all aspects are correct. While eating the burito, tears began to flow by themselves, but I was eating and driving at the same time, which probably wasn't safe because of the sea of tears from my eyes. When I ate and got to the hotel I threw myself on the bed I had a lot of notifications but I thought that probably people were congratulating me on a successful race. Suddenly on the phone screen I saw that "loser brother" is calling, he probably wanted to go out today because we are in the same place.
"Do you ever write back when you need to?!" You can tell the frustration in his voice
"Nice to hear from you too"
"Y/n is no place for jokes, you and Artur what about you, broken heart. I don't know to come to you with ice cream and tons of sweets" that voice I remember from childhood, the older brother's concerned voice.
"What the fuck are you thinking. Me and Arthur, heartbroken?"
"So not okay, but wait, so you're not?"
"No Max, nothing has ever connected me with him, I don't know where this idea came from"
"So you haven't been on Instagram wait I'll send you a link and remember I'll always be by your side" He hung up to be honest I don't know if I was scared or laughing but as soon as I opened it I froze.

Control, Remedy
When I was about 80% of the way through Control, I turned on the option that allowed me to kill every enemy with a single bullet, and to never die. I am so glad I did.
The one sentence summary of mainstream reviews for Control is, roughly: "A beautiful game with an engrossing story, aesthetic, and characters...and the shooting is fine." I think that's true, but when you're playing a recent game where the shooting is just fine and everything else is so good, fine quickly turns to "in my way".
There is so much cool stuff to see and hear in Control. The Oldest House is a terrific maze of banal, mid-century modern offices that ooze with ominous otherworldly horrors. The premise of the Federal Bureau of Control leaves open the possibility of almost anything while building a believable explanation of why everything is so weird.
Then there is the combat. The idea of the Service Weapon is a cool one, but it isn't explored very deeply in the game. On the literal other hand, there are the telekinetic powers you get which let you grab stuff and throw it at people, use it as a shield and later on, fly. Throwing a huge chunk of concrete or a desk or another person at an enemy is satisfying every time. The sound is great and the devs were so smart to give you something to throw no matter what's around you. The main problem I have with the combat is twofold:
It draws me back into the menus too often for upgrades and mods that don't feel like big changes
As the game goes on, combat felt more and more like padding.
There isn't much to explain about the menus. I loved to pause and check the audio log or memo I had picked up to get another little piece of color about the world. I didn't like pausing to pick a different upgrade or try a different shooting style (pistol, submachine gun, sniper) in case it helped get me past an annoying enemy.
But when I say the combat feels like padding, I mean it is conspicuously getting in the way of the next cool area of The Oldest House or getting some more information. After about the halfway point, there aren’t even new types of enemies to fight.
And that’s fine, as long as you turn on One Shot God Mode. As cool as it feels to play a badass like Jesse Faden, it does not feel cool to get shot in the face by some guy who used to work on the HVAC. There’s a level called The Ashtray Maze that’s way too close to the end of the game. You know as soon as it starts that this is your special gamer treat. The developers give you a bunch of weaker enemies to crush. At this point in the game you would probably have no problem dispatching them but why chance it? One Shot God Mode baby.
If all that wasn’t enough reason to trivialize the shooting, here comes the "boss" fight to make my point for me. It’s more or less a gray box level where you do a short horde mode of all the enemies you’ve faced so far in the game. There’s no big bad that fights differently than any other enemy in the game. It’s just more of the same in a featureless level.
So why am I justifying this decision so much? I bought the game, I can play however I like. Well, there was still that nagging voice in the back of my head saying "You're not playing the real game. You're cheating." That's an old voice, from a younger me and a different time in video games. A time when my friends and I would play shooters and try to either beat each other or not drag our team down. That doesn't happen anymore. When I rarely play games with my busy friends who have children, we are still playing shooters. We are still talking about other games. But no one is blaming me when I miss a headshot. No one is checking to see what difficulty level I beat a game on. So I was finally able to tell that voice: "Yes I am cheating, and it is so much fun."

Sometimes when you visit iconic places you have an other-worldly experience. Visiting the temples of Angkor in Cambodia gave me that spine-tingling goosebump-inducing feeling.
Deep in the jungles of northern Cambodia, spread out over four hundred square kilometres, is the vast Buddhist temple complex Angkor Wat.
I remember reading about the ruins of Angkor Wat but I had no idea how truly spectacular they would be. I also didn’t realise how huge complex was and it comes as no surprise that in Khymer Angkor Wat roughly translates as “City of Temples”.
Believed to be the largest religious monument in the world, Angkor is not just one building, but scores of temples. Initially dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu, the temple gradually transformed to Buddhist.
History of Angkor Wat
The Khmer empire was the largest continuous empire of South East Asia. It ran from 802 CE when King Jayavarman II declared himself chakravartin (or “king of kings”) and ended with the fall of the empire in the 15th century. Angkor was was the former capital of the Khmer Empire.
The temple complex was built in the first half of the 12th century by Emperor Suryavarman II. He built the temple city to symbolize the strength of the Khmer Empire. Initially built as a Hindu temple, dedicated to Vishnu, it later became a Buddhist temple.
After the empire ended the jungle swallowed Angkor and for 400 years the temples remained hidden.
The ruins were rediscovered in 1850 by French missionary Father Charles-Emile Bouillevaux, who published an account of his two days at Angkor Wat
In 1992 Angkor Wat was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Now in the 21st century Angkor finds itself in a Catch 22 situation. Conservationists and architects working at the site are in a quandary as to how to deal with the trees covering the temples. These hauntingly aesthetic ruins, covered in trees, may be magical for the tourists but are a nightmare for the people working to preserve the ruins of Angkor. The roots of the trees split walls and crush intricate carvings but simultaneously are also holding the carvings and larger stones together; remove the trees and the buildings are likely to collapse.
What to see at Angkor Wat
Angkor Wat Central Complex – This consists of three storeys, each made of laterite, which enclose a square surrounded by interlinked passages. Along the walls more than 3000 enchanting apsaras (heavenly nymphs) carved into the walls. The Gallery of a Thousand Buddhas was used to house hundreds of Buddha images before the war, but many of these were removed or stolen, leaving just the handful we see today. Make sure you don’t miss the opportunity to see Angkor Wat at sunrise.
Angkor Wat at sunrise
South Gate – This is the most famous gate of the temple complex, probably because it is situated on the only road between Angkor Wat and the Bayon.
The Bayon in Angkor Thom – The Bayon is a Buddhist shrine with 216 smiling, serene faces carved onto its gigantic towers. The faces are the 54 towers of the temple’s upper level – each with a face facing north, south, east and west high above the canopy of the jungle.
The face of Angkor at the Bayon in Cambodia
Ta Prohm – Ta Prohm is arguably the most atmospheric ruin at Angkor. Fig, banyan and kapok trees spread their gigantic roots over the crumbling towers and ancient walls. It is almost as if the trees are strangling the carvings beneath. The appeal of Ta Prohm is that, unlike the other monuments of Angkor, it has been left been swallowed by the jungle; it looks very much the way most of the monuments of Angkor appeared when European explorers first stumbled upon them.
Trees covering Ta Prohm at Angkor Wat
Preah Khan – Preah Khan is one of the larger temple complexes within the historic park. Its appeal is that similar to Ta Prohm in that it still largely unrestored with trees eerily growing over ruined arches and doorways.
The problem with tourists
Although my experience of Angkor was magical, there was one frustrating thing which did happen during my three-day visit.
One of the problems about visiting famous places around the world is that there are always lots of people visiting too… and before you say it, yes I’m a tourist who is complaining about tourists.
While wandering around the atmospheric ruins of the Bayon I was imagining what it must have been like discovering the ruins for the first time. But as I got into my intrepid discoverer mode a tall and stocky man from the USA appeared and started a conversation with me. He finished his somewhat one-way dialogue with the line: “The thing about Angkor is it just get’s better and better.” In that moment the balloon had been burst and the moment gone.
Admittedly if this had happened once I could have still found another secluded spot and fired up my imagination. But call it a coincidence, I prefer to call it sod’s law, but wherever I went over those three days on the vast temple complex at Angkor, he would also appear and every time would smile, shake his head in a totally overwhelmed way and say the line, ‘Wow, it just get’s better and better’.
I think there needs to be a rule in tourism about saying inane comments to other people just to be polite or avoid an awkward silence. When I am visiting an amazing-place-that-I-will-never-get-another-chance-to-visit-ever, I don’t need to make polite chit chat, I just want to have a moment of mindfulness. Whenever I now see any of the Angkor ruins, there is a little voice in the back of my mind which says: ‘wow, they just get better and better.’

Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online - Episode 08
So, uh, Tumblr’s gonna become a tire fire and then a ghost town, I’m guessing. …Where’re the fandom folks going? I’d kind of like to get in on the ground floor for once. Anyways, it’s Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online, episode 08! Here we GO!
-We begin with that final countdown, the girls rally themselves, ready to war…And then the game BEGINS! They spawn in the Northwestern suburbs, right up on the edge of the battlefield…So now they’ve got to figure out their plan. The initial spawns show a pretty broad spread…
-The hills are too dangerous. That’s total sniper territory, long nightlines and all the cover’s low. There’s a stadium arena, and some large buildings…They could go into the mountains…All rough options. But LLENN starts to put together a plan, and gives Fukaziroh the orders. She is clearly not used to LLENN being so…take-charge.
-Right now they’re in a clean spot. They’ve got lots of cover and options, and they’re nearly halfway to the first scan, which will include team names. Best choice is to bunker down, see if anyone’s coming for them, and see where the fuck Pito is. They don’t need to win this, they just need to beat Pito. Everything else comes after.
-Opening!
-Looks like the town is pretty empty, when the scan comes up. Both of our girls hide down, and at a look…Things are shifting, lot of early movement Northwards, but nobody’s too close to them. People are trying to lock in their defensive positions before stretching out to fight. Now, which of these is Pito…in…
-Fuck me she’s in the Southeastern mountains. Pito and team SHINC both see LLENN’s location, as everyone starts putting together their plans.
-In the snowy mountains, team Memento Mori sees how the seed was played…The favorites are all scattered wide, in the four corners of the map. The company’s aiming to try and force them to have as many conflicts as possible before they reach each other. Understandable, but it’s gonna make things tricky…
-Fukaziroh gets very dramatic about it. But okay, there’s only one thing to do. Chart a course Southeast, hunt PM4 down, and crush anyone in their way.
-Episode 08! “Booby Trap”
-What’s the over-under on the word “booby” getting this flagged by the Algorithm, do you think? So, first step is to move down through the suburbs…When LLENN spots their first opponent. Five men in a pentagon formation. Plan’s simple. Just like they practiced. Fukaziroh will bombard, and then LLENN will sweep in during the confusion…Aaand then Fukaziroh runs into a mine!
-HER LEGS ARE FUCKING GONE
-THEY JUST AREN’T THERE ANYMORE
-HOW DOES THAT ONLY COST TWENTY FIVE PERCENT HP
-LLENN has to drag her ass out there by the luggage handles on her fuckin’ backpack, and LLENN starts trying to think. She knows that limbs should regrow after two minutes, but do they have that kind of time? And of course, the men who put down the mine heard it go off, and are investigating…So, uh, this is not ideal.
-Fukaziroh tries to tell her to abandon her and run. Never! Well, maybe if you die. But not before that! Stay low, stay quiet, and if all else fails, magdump.
-And LLENN bursts out of the front window with a cloak, flinging it aside to start spewing rounds into her enemies! The first one drops before she hits the ground! Number two eats a point blank headshot, and becomes an invulnerable human shield to block number three and give her room to pop him down the center! Gunfire coming, knife out, dash in, FOUR loses his man parts and then his neck! Two left! Five’s around the corner of a building and gets parkour’d and blasted! Where’s their last man?
-Hanging back with a pump-action loaded with slugs! LLENN barely dodges, needs a way to get in close, but a grenade to the head from Fuka takes that fucker down! That’s for taking her legs, asshole!
-Every man watching despairs at those that groin attack, by the way.
-Meanwhile,, the other teams are working their way through…The machine gun lovers are doing their thing. Memento Mori is moving slow and steady through the snow. Down in the train yards, SHINC is bunkering down, fighting their way out of suppressive fire bit by bit.
-In the farmlands, another team drops, from a skilled sharpshooter…And then all the way in the mountains, M is holding and watching the chaos. Because, bluntly, they have the best spot they’re going to get. Let the initial waves burn themselves out, and then they can force a conflict on their terms. M’s holding his ground as team leader, refusing to let Pito convince them to go out into the thick.
-Back to the suburbs, Fukaziroh has legs again! Legs are great! Legs are the best! What would she do without legs? That’s why you’ve got to watch for those wires, and watch at all levels. Players get real clever in PvP. Ankle height, knee, waist, neck high, putting an obvious trap down to make you go towards a well hidden one…LLENN even watches for wires in real life now from playing too much.
-Time for the next scan. The map’s a lot thinner, and a lot of teams are shooting for PM4…So what’s the plan? Keep moving. There’s a team towards the train yard. That’s going to be a real defensible position. Claiming it will be tough, but it’ll give them a lot of options. There might even be functional train vehicles.
-And Fukaziroh is starting to cook up a plan…They might be able to drop that team without a single shot!
-By this scan point, SHINC has managed to get to the farmlands, fighting their way out of the train yards. And Eva is pissed at the lack of good opponents. Her friends point out that she should be careful not to get too used to playing Eva, or she might become more rude and crude in real life. What would your mother think if you started cursing in public or on the subway?
-…Point. So she tries calling them out with a bit more elegance.
-Memento Mori sees the initial burnout, and decide to shoot for LF first. Time to start moving West.
-Pito is bored.
-LLENN and Fukaziroh are getting real close to the train yards…And it’s time for the assault.
-Exactly what they meant to do, before that trap got them. Another six-man team of generics, and with LLENN spotting, Fukaziroh’s able to arc her Bullet Line, starting to put corrections in and shell the whole group! A hit! Fukaziroh practiced for hours, learning how to correct for different distances…All she needs is to know how much to correct for.
-So LLENN calls out coordinates, and a second hit! The team’s scattered, but two more down! Just one left, he’s running East! Fukaziroh runs out of one launcher, but switches, magdumping! When the smoke clears, that’s a confirmed kill. All six are down, and Fukaziroh’s feeling damn good. Time to lock in, meet up, and work their way to the dome!
-All it took was twelve grenades. Just two drums to do the entire team in. They’re good.
-Next scan. Looking good.
-Well except for the part where seven teams are trying to band together to take down PM4.
-That’s a problem.
-A big problem.
-Up in the mountains, M spots it…Yep, all seven teams are agreeing to cooperate, to force PM4 out of the game before scattering and resuming their war. It’s a solid strategy, but a real problem…
-Team SHINC spot it too, and there’s a lot of uncertainty if it’ll work…It just might. But they’re too far away to influence it…And Eva’s not happy.
-Memento Mori are just upset they lost the chance to cut through the enemy with a last-second betrayal…
-And with no other choice on the board, LLENN leaves Fukaziroh behind, sprinting out there in full power to try and change the script…Until she trips on a tree root and Fukaziroh has to slow her down. Even at full power, you won’t make it. And alone, you won’t be able to change things. They’ve got to trust, and keep moving forward. Yeah? Yeah.
-Back up in the mountains, Pito just fucking laughs. The team leaders have all fallen back, putting their squads in independent mode so no maps can help PM4. This is great! This is fantastic! This is gonna be a bloodbath. The wind whips up, and Pito prepares to go to war, as her laughter echoes through the world…
-Credits! What a fuckin’ mood whiplash.
Well god DAMN, this is bad. This is very bad. We’ll see if things get better for our heroes next time, in episode NINE of SAO Alt: GGO! Wait for it!

Kang Daniel; seven minutes in heaven
Member: Daniel // Wanna One
Genre: Fluff
Request: “hi! could i request a kang daniel seven minutes in heaven scenario (don't worry nothing smutty, just fluffy)”
A/N: so this was requested as a scenario, but I’m starting headcanons/bullet scenarios and I was supposed to write this one anyway... so why not try it? If you don’t like it, admin Leah will write an actual scenario ^.^ Enjoy!
Kang Daniel is a name you knew all too well throughout your high school years
you’d liked him since junior year when you caught him feeding a box of stray kittens behind the school
which wasn’t allowed but it’s not like you were gonna tell on the resident senior golden boy, who also happened to be very handsome
it was pretty much over from there,,,
you spent most classes staring at him and then pretending you hadn’t been
but your friends caught on, of course,, they wanted to throw a ‘welcome to the Kang Daniel fan club’ party, but you adamantly refused
they settled for “subtly” teasing you about your crush (hint they weren’t subtle at all,, it’s a miracle he never caught on)
Kang Daniel, the icon of obliviousness
so
somehow, you two ended up going to the same college
how convenient
college campuses may be small enough places to run into the perfect people in stories, but in reality not so much
so basically you saw him once in the cafeteria at like 1 am with a bad case of bedhead and hipster glasses
needless to say
he still looked very good
anyway
you don’t usually go to parties but your university’s soccer team won the championship, and all your friends were going, and it’s not like you had to drink
what could go too wrong
or in this case what could go right ;)))so you go
and a couple of your high school friends went to the same college, and of course, they’re there“Hey, y/n - Daniel's here,” one of them nudges you, grinning
you scoff, trying not to blush “I don’t like him anymore,”
in your defense you think it’s true,, you basically haven’t even seen the guy in two years, how could you still like him?
spoiler alert you’re wrong
it’s the Daniel Effect™
somehow, by the work of Satan or God (it’s not quite clear which one) you end up being dragged into playing party games
“come on, y/n! we need one more person,, it’ll be fun!”
play party games they said
it’ll be fun they said
so you’re like “FINE” and you settle down in an open spot
and you look up
surprise! there’s Daniel
he’s grinning at someone on the other side of the circle, so he doesn't notice you go into jpg mode when you spot him
“y/n, you’re staring - you look like an owl,” your guy friend laughs, and he gets a punch in the arm that quickly shuts him up
and then the games start
they start with truth or dare, and then spin the bottle, and then seven minutes in heaven
and everything’s going smoothly until -
“Y/n~!”
and you’re like shit shit shit
they spin the bottle and it lands on
the one
the only
Kang Daniel
inside you’re all SHIT SHIT SHIT and then you two lock eyes for the first time
and you’re like where are the fireworks, the only thing exploding is my ovaries I MEAN WHAT
even though it’s been like .003 seconds, suddenly there’s like five football-player-strength guys shoving you two into the nearest closet
of course they lock the door
there’s legitimately 30 straight seconds of the most awkward silence you’ve ever been through
and then “...so, um, I’m Daniel.. what’s your name?”
you dip your head awkwardly “Y/n,”
“So--” “I'M NOT HAVING SEX WITH YOU,”
a solid 5 seconds of silence
“I- I really wasn’t - I wasn’t going to ask you that! I'm sorry if I-”
“No no - oh God - I'm sorry, I’m just nervous! I know you wouldn’t -”
thank god for how dark it is, so he can’t see your fiery red blush
“I'm nervous too...” he whispers warmly after a moment, and you melt a little
“You?”
“It doesn’t seem like it maybe, but I hate parties...”
“Really? In high school, you were always the #1 attendee,”
"Did you go to my high school?”
for no reason that you can think of, your stomach does a flip
“Um... yeah.”
“What’s your last name again?”
and so you tell him
“Wait - wait - Y/l/n Y/n? The girl that covered for me when the school found out I was taking care of those kittens?”
well needless to say you’re shook
“You know me?”
you think you see his face turn a bit red??? but it’s dark so it’s hard to tell, and it’s probably just wishful thinking
“Well, actually... I kind of - I kind of liked you,”
needless to say you’re even more shook™
“... what...?”
Ok now you’re sure his face is definitely red
“I mean - I used to! I don’t, I don’t anymore!”
(You don’t like being cliche, but your heart sinks a bit)
“Are you okay? What’s wrong?”
“What? Nothing. How much time is left?”
“A couple minutes,”
and so you sit there in silence again, processing what you just heard
until “... I’m sorry if I made you uncomfortable,”
how many times is it possible to melt in the space of an hour because of one person? you wonder
“Don’t worry about it,” you say a bit breathlessly, and you sink into silence again
and then, a minute or two later, you get an idea
you know those ideas that are like
no
don’t
bad idea
spoiler alert: you get one of those
I mean you’re at a party anyway
you’re playing seven minutes in heaven for god’s sake
and so you abruptly turn and look him right in his beautiful eyes
you can almost see the “???” above his head
and you lean right in and whisper: “I liked you too, and I still do.”
you’re not even drunk,, you have no idea where the hell this bravery is coming from
and then suddenly you two are inches away
“I lied,” he swallows. “I still like you too,”
your chest is pounding so hard it’s practically making the rest of your body move
he inches closer, his eyes flicker down to your lips
and right before you can make contact--
the closet door slams open and you two jump apart at the speed of light
“Time’s up!” some asshole screams, and you sullenly stand up
you take several steps out of the closet, where everybody can see
and suddenly you feel Daniel’s hands take hold of your shoulders and spin you around
and then he plants his mouth on yours
you’re so distracted by the fact Kang Daniel is kissing you, that the catcalls and cheering of the group fade away
after a moment, he pulls back
"I've been waiting a while to do that,” he says breathlessly
“Honestly,” you say, just as breathlessly. “So have I,”

Fox news Power Rankings: How high do Seahawks fly? - NFL.com
Fox news
That became once an inconceivable week of soccer. I mediate this sport has an genuine likelihood to form some status.
Week 10 resulted in about a deep soul-hunting and intense emotional turmoil at some stage within the pecking-divulge route of of the Vitality Rankings, but I'm going to continually place myself thru a psychological ringer if we are in a position to internet games like this a week.
Wait, he's no longer going to make a decision on the Niners at No. 1 after what came about on Monday evening, is he? You're damn factual he is.
NOTE: The earlier rankings referenced within the lineup under are from the Week 10 Vitality Rankings.
Outdated corrupt: No. 1
The worst aspect about being on the rotten stop of a Monday evening traditional? this will more than seemingly be resurfaced repeatedly on telecasts unless the stop of time. The Niners lost their first sport of the season in crushing style: at house, in top time, to a division rival, within the final second of time previous regulation. If uncomfortable Traipse McLaughlin makes his closing kick, the 49ers are 9-0 and we're all talking about their bottomless wisely of internet to the bottom of. But McLaughlin yacked it, and all of sudden the Niners are in a dogfight with the Seahawks within the NFC West. San Francisco wants to internet wholesome on the offensive aspect of the ball: With George Kittle (knee/ankle) sidelined and Emmanuel Sanders (ribs) knocked out of the sport early, Jimmy Garoppolo became once left with a dearth of honest recommendations ... and it showed. The 49ers tranquil truly feel just like the becoming crew within the NFL thru 10 weeks, but the Seahawks showed us the gap is minimal.
Outdated corrupt: No. 4
Sunday's matchup in opposition to the winless Bengals seemed unfair on paper, and it became once even crueler in motion. Lamar Jackson robbed the Bengals of their company at some stage in a single other inconceivable performance thru which he done with a truly perfect passer ranking and delivered his finest highlight-reel bustle yet in a 49-13 laugher. The Ravens are knocking on the door for the AFC's top seed, and it all starts with the 22-yr-historic under center. " what number of little childhood in this country are going to be wearing No. 8 taking half in quarterback for the following 20 years?" Ravens coach John Harbaugh rhetorically requested Jackson on the sideline Sunday, after telling him: "You changed the sport, man." Harbaugh's factual: Jackson has changed the sport. All the discuss evaluating the second-yr megastar to Michael Vick has been selling Jackson brief this complete time. Jackson is extra healthy than top Vick ... and he's factual getting began.

We're coming off a harrowing week for the Patriots and their followers, who no longer most productive had to route of their crew's first loss of the season -- final Sunday evening's lopsided defeat to the Ravens -- but also the painful reality that Contemporary England no longer holds the pinnacle place within the NFL dot com Vitality Rankings. Yes, Patriot Plot became once shaken out of its Pleasantville-like existence, but let's all be aware that hell hath no fury like Invoice Belichick coming off a loss and a bye. Contemporary England is 14-5 in put up-bye games at some stage within the Belichick Dynasty. The Eagles diagram the difficult assignment -- they're the first of four straight opponents with a hit recordsdata to face the defending champions. That is comparatively a alternate from the first half of, when Contemporary England fattened up on one of the essential essential worst teams in soccer.

After it became once in all places, Russell Wilson informed ESPN he didn't mediate he'd "ever been piece of a sport that crazy." The Seahawks knocked off the previously undefeated 49ers, 27-24 in OT, in a sport that had extra twists and turns than a daylight cleaning soap opera. That which you would possibly perchance well write a book on the time previous regulation length by myself, as Wilson threw a crushing crimson-zone interception, the Niners overlooked a would-be sport-a hit field aim, then Jason Myers purchased his season attend no longer off target with a sport-winner within the closing seconds of the additional length. Wilson's staunch hand is irreplaceable in stress cookers like this, but the sport ball has to switch to Jadeveon Clowney, who performed like a celebrity. Clowney lived in San Francisco's backfield, created turnovers, scored a touchdown and on the complete ensured he'll soon internet a contract that makes him surely one of the essential highest-paid defenders in soccer. Hello on the region of job for both player and crew.

If the Packers tear on to purchase their first Colossal Bowl title in on the subject of a decade, a chubby phase of the eventual DVD season retrospective would possibly perchance be centered on how Sunday's sport ended at snowy Lambeau Enviornment. Christian McCaffrey, the NFL's finest working attend, became once 2 yards from the aim line with the likelihood to place the Panthers in dwelling to tie. And the Green Bay protection rose to the occasion to stuff the Carolina megastar and clinch an limitless purchase. The Packers' protection has been an scenario for weeks: Since Week 4 and coming into Sunday, Mike Pettine's unit ranked 31st in yards allowed per play, 30th in completions of 20 or extra yards allowed and 30th in third-down protection, per The Athletic. The Pack D on the subject of collapsed on Sunday, as wisely: McCaffrey's closing elevate became once the 18th play of an 88-yard Panthers pressure. But Green Bay didn't rupture. It became once a dramatic stand to plot upon.
Outdated corrupt: No. 2
A head-scratching loss by the Saints, who were dominated in all phases by a downtrodden Falcons crew that hadn't shown a pulse in weeks. Drew Brees became once sacked six times -- tied for the most ever in his career -- and became once pressured 18 times by a relentless Atlanta front seven. How delicate became once the defensive surge by the Falcons? They managed seven sacks all season sooner than Sunday. The Saints were wisely under 300 yards of complete offense sooner than they began collecting first downs in a closing garbage-time pressure that also produced zero components. "Put off a scenario, and there would possibly perchance be a staunch likelihood they won that scenario," Saints coach Sean Payton stated after the sport. It became once ... wisely ... as irregular an as we have viewed in this 2019 NFL season, and it begs the quiz: Is this a brand of danger in Contemporary Orleans, or became once it factual a truly irascible day on the region of job?
Outdated corrupt: No. 10
The substantial epic headed into Sunday evening's big matchup in opposition to the Cowboys centered on Kirk Cousins and whether or no longer he would possibly perchance perchance well upward push to the occasion in top time in opposition to a high quality opponent, the form of surroundings that has seemingly tremulous the quarterback within the previous. But then the sport began, Cousins performed with a staunch hand, and we were reminded who the correct megastar of Minnesota's assault truly is. Dalvin Cook delivered one other All-Pro performance in Dallas, finishing with 183 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown in a 28-24 purchase. Cook and Cousins didn't operate it by myself: The Vikings' protection became once in bend-but-operate no longer-rupture mode in opposition to a high-powered Dallas assault, typified by Eric Kendricks' breakup of a circulation supposed for Ezekiel Elliott within the closing minute that ended the Cowboys' closing scoring likelihood. Kendricks has been surely one of the essential becoming duvet linebackers in soccer this season ... Dak Prescott picked the rotten "mismatch."
Outdated corrupt: No. 7
If the Cowboys aimed to present the sphere on Sunday evening they ought to tranquil be considered as legit Colossal Bowl contenders, they didn't operate a truly staunch job of it. Lapses in judgment and failures in execution killed Dallas in a 28-24 loss to the Vikings, which dropped the Cowboys into a tie with the Eagles atop a extinct NFC East. Developed analytics verbalize us that Jason Garrett's crew is surely one of the essential becoming in soccer, but there would possibly perchance be frequently been reality to that ol' Parcellism: You're what your document says which you would possibly perchance well additionally very wisely be. The Cowboys are 5-4, comparatively better than mediocre. Tavon Austin's comely-mediate call on a Vikings punt within the closing minute is emblematic of Dallas' struggles. He informed newshounds after the sport he became once urged to demand a comely mediate to save quite so much of seconds on the clock. Fortune favors the heroic ... and that ain't the Cowboys.
Outdated corrupt: No. 9
For the second consecutive yr, and for the third time within the final four seasons, the Texans have began the season at 6-3. Or no longer it's place to be in, and a substantial piece of Houston's success would possibly perchance perchance even be prove within the trenches. The Texans' offensive line, led by key late-summer season acquisition Laremy Tunsil, has executed a so much better job of keeping Deshaun Watson. And the unit's opening up holes for a working sport that is been surely one of the essential essential productive in soccer. The Carlos Hyde- Duke Johnson tandem has piled up on the subject of 1,000 yards, averaging 4.9 per elevate. The absence of J.J. Watt will seemingly become extra pronounced as the season progresses, but Houston's front seven did handsome work in shutting down Leonard Fournette and Gardner Minshew in Week 9. Houston entered Week 10 having allowed the third-fewest speeding yards per sport (84.1) in soccer.
Outdated corrupt: No. 8
Patrick Mahomes returned to motion and looked shut to himself, the finest aspect that will near out of Sunday's matchup with the Titans. But ... what a disastrous elevate out to a sport that the Chiefs controlled for the bulk of four quarters. A brief rundown of the setbacks initiating on the 1: 36 mark within the fourth quarter: 1) A failure to convert on a third-and-brief followed by 2) a botched snap on a field-aim try, which resulted in 3) an intentional grounding call on the holder, which dwelling the stage for 4) a protection-extensive collapse on the Titans' four play, 61-yard tear-ahead touchdown pressure, which became once followed by 5) a blocked field-aim try to complete it. Titans purchase, 35-32. If the Chiefs stop up lacking out on a bye or salvage themselves in a dogfight with the Raiders within the AFC West, be aware what came about in Nashville.
Outdated corrupt: No. 12
One of many finest surprises of the first half of of the season? Scoring components is annoying work for the Eagles. Carson Wentz became once a buzzy MVP opt coming into 2019 (I bow my head in shame), but practically nothing about this offense has been award-well-known up to now. Entering Week 10, Philly ranked 14th in components per sport, 18th in yards per sport, 21st in passing yards per sport and 12th in speeding yards per sport. The Iggles are the textbook definition of a middling offense, and the numbers attend that up. Don't sleep on how grand DeSean Jackson's season-wrecking belly rupture danger this offense -- he became once a playmaker who would possibly perchance perchance well opt defenses factual along with his house-bustle ability. One straightforward vivid place? 2nd-round working attend Miles Sanders, who has 641 scrimmage yards thru 9 weeks. Easiest Raiders standout Josh Jacobs -- the Offensive Rookie of the Year common -- has extra amongst first-yr execs.
Outdated corrupt: No. 17
The Steelers' protection continues to resurrect a seemingly lost season. Mike Tomlin's D held the Rams to a single field aim on offense and compelled four turnovers to command Pittsburgh's fifth purchase in six games. The Steelers, left for pointless after an 0-3 birth, are within the thick of the AFC wild-card lunge with seven weeks to play. Pittsburgh is up to 26 takeaways this season, the most turnovers forced by the crew in its first 9 games of a season because it piled up 28 in that span in 1987. There would possibly perchance be less room for excitement on the offensive aspect of the ball, which managed factual 273 yards and 10 components in opposition to the Rams. Quarterback Mason Rudolph, filling in for Ben Roethlisberger, has been an efficient sport supervisor, for the most piece, but the Steelers will want to examine a leap in his pattern for this to be larger than a truly feel-staunch epic within the AFC.
Outdated corrupt: No. 11
The Colossal Bowl hangover is genuine. The Rams were flummoxed by Invoice Belichick on the first Sunday of February and have not been remotely the similar on offense since. It became once all laid bare on a late Sunday afternoon in Pittsburgh, the place the once-mighty Los Angeles assault managed factual one field aim and 306 yards in a loss that additional jeopardized the playoff hopes of the defending NFC champions. Jared Goff looked helpless looking out to operate performs within the face of a majestic Pittsburgh front seven, and the Rams' working sport remained painfully pedestrian. Todd Gurley became once held under 100 yards for the seventh straight sport, and when requested in a while why the weak All-Pro didn't behold the ball within the fourth quarter, Sean McVay equipped, "That became once factual form of the rotation." That became once factual form of the rotation. Yep, issues have changed so much for the Rams, and no longer for the simpler.
Outdated corrupt: No. 16
Originate you mediate within the Raiders yet? Jon Gruden's crew, taking half in in what would possibly perchance perchance additionally want been the closing top-time sport ever in Oakland, went ahead on a late touchdown pressure, then made a formidable closing stand on protection to stable an limitless 26-24 purchase over the AFC West-rival Chargers. As soon as extra, a serious storyline became once the standout play of Raiders common supervisor Mike Mayock's sterling rookie class. Running attend Josh Jacobs (picked 24th overall) place the Raiders ahead for staunch with an 18-yard ranking, defensive stop Clelin Ferrell (No. 4 overall) had 2.5 sacks and defensive stop Maxx Crosby (picked within the fourth round) capped a substantial evening with a speed and hit on Philip Rivers that resulted in the sport-icing interception by veteran security Karl Joseph. Oakland's protection made lifestyles depressing for Rivers, who threw three picks and had two extra wiped away by penalty. With winnable games ahead in opposition to the Bengals and Jets (who've a blended document of two-16), the Raiders have a legit likelihood to operate the playoffs. Knock on wooden whilst you happen to're with them.

Yes, he threw a costly crimson-zone interception, and a center alternate turnover highlighted his ongoing scenario with fumbles, but Kyle Allen performed a damn staunch sport on Sunday in Green Bay. In a hostile street surroundings featuring freezing temperatures and staunch snow, Allen saved the Panthers transferring all afternoon. The eventual 24-16 loss would possibly perchance be remembered for Christian McCaffrey being stuffed on the aim line as time expired, but operate no longer forget Allen led Carolina down the sphere to present CMC that final different. "What he did in opposition to that protection, in opposition to that front pinning their ears attend, shimmering we had to throw the ball ... became once moderately inconceivable," stated Greg Olsen. "I thought what he did tonight overall and that fourth quarter became once as impressive a quarterback show hide as I've ever viewed." A high reward from a guy who went to a Colossal Bowl with league MVP Cam Newton about a years attend.
Outdated corrupt: No. 13
The Payments looked like a center-of-the-pack crew on Sunday in opposition to the Browns, therefore their placement on the Vitality Rankings. We saw a breakdown in three phases in Cleveland: On offense, Josh Allen sailed a pair deep balls previous birth receivers (sound acquainted?), and Buffalo became once held under 20 complete components for the fifth time this season. On protection, the Browns were in a position to march 82 yards on 10 performs for the tear-ahead ranking late within the fourth quarter. On particular teams, kicker Stephen Hauschka overlooked two-field aim attempts, at the side of the 53-yarder that sealed Buffalo's fate within the closing minute. At 6-3, there would possibly perchance be not any want to dread. The schedule stays light, with winnable games in opposition to the Dolphins and Broncos over the following two weeks. Resolve care of commercial there, and a playoff stamp is shut to punched. But can this crew be relied on factual now?
Outdated corrupt: No. 14
The Colts performed without their initiating quarterback and top extensive receiver on Sunday, and it showed in opposition to the Dolphins. With Jacoby Brissett sidelined by the knee rupture suffered in Week 9 in opposition to the Steelers, Brian Hoyer reverted to the worst model of himself. The veteran executed no longer up to half of of his passes and threw three interceptions in his 10th straight loss as a starter. That which you would possibly perchance well operate worse than Hoyer as your backup, but there would possibly perchance be also a cause he became once accessible after Andrew Excellent fortune all of sudden retired in late August. Brissett wants to be on the sphere, especially as the schedule tightens up with three straight games in opposition to AFC South rivals. The substantial quiz around the crew is whether or no longer Adam Vinatieri would possibly perchance be kicking in any of these games. The veteran overlooked yet one other extra point, this one costly in a sport determined by four components. How long can Frank Reich stick along with his guy?
Outdated corrupt: No. 18
Philip Rivers is on the second on the darkish internet looking out to search out thoughts-eraser skills to wipe away a lost Thursday evening in Oakland. The Chargers quarterback threw three interceptions and had two extra picks nullified by penalty in a 26-24 loss to the Raiders that place Los Angeles' playoff hopes in serious doubt. Rivers became once under fixed duress as a consequence of a surprisingly meddlesome Oakland front seven, which had its plan with an L.A. offensive line lacking both initiating tackles. The low point for the Chargers came on a closing possession that went like this: incompletion, incompletion, incompletion, penalty (first down), incompletion, incompletion, incompletion, interception. Like I stated, Philip Rivers is scouring the digital underground hunting for thoughts-eraser hardware. Next up for the Chargers? A showdown in opposition to Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in Mexico City. Or no longer it's a virtual must-purchase for the Bolts.
Outdated corrupt: No. 23
What an indecent, dramatic and doubtlessly season-saving purchase by the Titans on Sunday in opposition to the Chiefs. In recordsdata that can have tremulous Titans followers into silence about a weeks attend, it became once the offense that rescued the house crew in Nashville. Tennessee's protection, which has been requested to lend a hand the present for years, gave up 530 yards and 32 components to a Kansas City assault that looked as if it'd be on the sphere for the complete afternoon. But the Ryan Tannehill-led Titans offense made the most of its opportunities. That became once never extra apparent than on the four-play, 61-yard touchdown pressure that culminated with Adam Humphries' 23-yard touchdown mediate with 23 seconds to play. The Titans wished factual 58 seconds to realize the stop zone on a pressure that began of their territory and not using a timeouts. This does not happen with Marcus Mariota within the attend of center.

Doug Marrone made the anticipated swap to Slash Foles within the bye week, and it's a long way critical to admire the coach's vision. Jaguars followers have rallied around rookie QB Gardner Minshew, both as a player and a shaggy underdog folk hero, so sending the sixth-round opt to the bench took some onions, to borrow a phrase from well-known basketball announcer Invoice Raftery. Now we will behold if Marrone's resolution pays off for a Jags crew that wants a a hit plod. In one plan, it's a no-lose scenario for the Duval trustworthy. If Foles and the Jaguars surge, this can operate for an exhilarating closing seven weeks of the favored season in Jacksonville. If Foles struggles, the Jags tranquil have a promising younger backup waiting within the wings. We're no longer in Bortles-or-bust or Blaine-or-danger territory, the fan a similar of being trapped on a burning boat with a pack of hungry crocodiles circling under.
Outdated corrupt: No. 22
Things purchased extra attention-grabbing than they must have within the closing minutes, but the Bears held on in opposition to a Lions crew lacking Matthew Stafford. The Bears offense managed factual 20 yards complete of their first four possessions, a funk that summoned memories of Week 9, when Chicago managed factual 9 complete get yards within the first half of in opposition to the Eagles. The turning point Sunday came on Chicago's closing possession of the first half of: A 10-play, 80-yard march that ended when Mitchell Trubisky found Ben Braunecker within the stop zone for the tear-ahead ranking. Trubisky threw two extra touchdown passes within the third quarter, taking opt watch over of the sport and releasing the stress valve at Soldier Enviornment. Though the Bears' assault remains The Enviornment in Chicago, which you would possibly perchance well additionally behold about a beams of sunshine breaking thru the clouds within the final two weeks. Can they plot on it?
Outdated corrupt: No. 21
Nicely, right here we're again. The Broncos are out of opponents within the AFC West ... and they also tranquil want a quarterback. Paxton Lynch gave formula to Trevor Siemian, who gave formula to Case Keenum, who gave formula to Joe Flacco, who will finally give formula to ... ??? Brandon Allen, who looked moderately staunch in opposition to the Browns final week? Drew Lock, the second-round opt who on the second resides in parts unknown (but who is returning to have a examine)? A recent college hotshot to be named later? If John Elway is again well-liked to inform this search (a substantial if), operate no longer be taken aback to examine the Broncos dip into the free-agent market for the third straight yr. An unofficial checklist of veteran QBs who would possibly perchance be -- or would possibly perchance perchance additionally very wisely be -- altering teams this offseason: Andy Dalton, Slash Foles, Marcus Mariota, Philip Rivers, Eli Manning, Teddy Bridgewater, Cam Newton, Jameis Winston. Oh, hell, and Tom Brady, too. Howdy, Elway reeled in Peyton Manning in 2012, and that labored out moderately grand.
Outdated corrupt: No. 24
Or no longer it's annoying to command what exactly would possibly perchance perchance even be taken out the Browns' purchase over the Payments. Any victory is a gargantuan victory, especially when it ends a four-sport losing plod, but key deficiencies live for Cleveland. The offense is inconsistent with Baker Mayfield on the controls, and the unit's work within the crimson zone remains awful -- especially with the amount of skill on the sphere. The season would were all but over if the fumble return for a touchdown by Payments defender Jerry Hughes late within the fourth quarter hadn't been overturned by review. But it completely became once, and a Slash Chubb-led offense made the most of its second likelihood, using for the tear-ahead ranking. Following a second overlooked field-aim try by Stephen Hauschka, the Browns were celebrating. Cleveland remains on the exterior attempting in at 3-6, but howdy, the remainder of the AFC wild-card field is never exactly overwhelming -- Buffalo incorporated. A purchase in opposition to the Steelers on Thursday Evening Football, and the Browns have a shot.
Outdated corrupt: No. 19
Right here is a hot exhaust: The Lions truly desire Matthew Stafford. The quarterback, whose iron-man initiating plod ended on Sunday as a consequence of a attend rupture, became once sorely overlooked in a loss to the Bears that place Detroit's playoff hopes on lifestyles enhance. Jeff Driskel stepped in for Stafford and had about a moments -- his finest being a reasonably, 47-yard touchdown circulation to Kenny Golladay that gave the Lions a spark within the fourth quarter -- but this merely is never a balanced sufficient crew to live to scream the tale the absence of its finest player. The veritably overmatched Lions protection began off wisely, keeping the Bears to factual 20 yards on four fruitless drives to birth the sport. But Mitch Trubisky threw touchdown passes within the following three Bears possessions, inserting Detroit in a 20-6 gap that became once merely too deep with Stafford on the sideline. Now we wait to examine how long the quarterback has to place there.

Or no longer it's an NFL cliche when a struggling crew hypes up an upcoming matchup in opposition to a rival as "our Colossal Bowl" ... but within the case of Sunday's 26-9 purchase over the Saints on the Superdome, it truly felt like that. The Falcons performed with ardour and precision for four quarters; someone and not using a recordsdata on these rivals would possibly perchance perchance well be tremulous to be taught which crew entered this sport with a 1-7 document and which crew entered it at 7-1. Stunning for Atlanta's Dan Quinn, whose beaming smile on the sideline within the sport's waning minutes informed the epic of a coach who truly wished that. And let's give some love to Quinn's protection, which became once nasty within the season's first half of but legitimately dominant in opposition to a Saints offense that is as deep as any assault in soccer. The Saints' 9 components were the fewest in a condo sport since Sean Payton and Drew Brees came to town. Hand the Falcons their invisible Lombardi Trophy.
Outdated corrupt: No. 25
That is three straight losses for the Cardinals following their three-sport a hit plod. On Sunday, they competed for 60 minutes on the street in opposition to the Bucs, but they were unable to search out one plan (or internet a circulation-interference call on Kyler Murray's closing heave as time expired). Speaking of Murray, the rookie quarterback threw his first interception in six weeks. He went 211 passes between picks, an NFL rookie document. Murray joins Deshaun Watson, Daunte Culpepper and Cam Newton as the most productive avid gamers since 1950 with 2,500 passing yards and 250 speeding yards of their first 10 career starts. We purchased some intrigue on Monday when Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury printed that he saved David Johnson on the bench within the closing quarter so they would possibly perchance well opt Kenyan Drake "rolling." Johnson, who led the NFL in touches (373) and scrimmage yards (2,118) in 2016, hasn't been the similar player this yr as he's battled a pair of injuries. Would possibly perchance his time in Arizona be shut to an stop?
Outdated corrupt: No. 29
That is two consecutive wins for the Dolphins, who followed final week's convincing victory over the Jets with a street purchase over a banged-up Colts crew. Ryan Fitzpatrick continues a most modern pattern of taking half in within himself (no longer traditionally his bailiwick), and the Miami protection continues to present a boost to. The Dolphins have forced five takeaways of their final three games after managing factual two heading into Week 8. Or no longer it's all a truly staunch check for first-yr coach Brian Flores, who weathered the storm of his crew's traditionally inept first six games and now has Miami taking half within the role of frisky spoiler within the AFC. That would possibly perchance perchance additionally no longer educate the concept administration had in thoughts over the summer season, but this is why these supposed "tank" setups no longer frequently work. The coaches and avid gamers on the sphere want to prevail. "We're going out to purchase every sport. Duration," Flores stated on Sunday evening. Amen to that.

Jamal Adams stated the Jets ought to tranquil deem him as an untouchable star whereas expressing his displeasure along with his title constructing sooner than final month's alternate closing date -- and on Sunday, he performed like one. The third-yr security became once a particular person possessed in opposition to the Giants, stuffing the box ranking with 9 tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, a touchdown and a fourth-down stop. His "gimme six" takeaway from Daniel Jones steadied a Jets crew that seemed in a position to lose opt watch over of one other sport. The Jets ought to tranquil operate all the pieces of their energy to restore their relationship with Adams ... making him the highest-paid security within the NFL would possibly perchance perchance well be a staunch birth. Sam Darnold -- Gang Green's other most important commodity -- also delivered an excellent sport, main the Jets on three touchdown drives and conserving off a turnover for factual the second time this season. Adam Gase wants several extra games like this to bag his "quarterback whisperer" status and rupture a second yr on the sideline in Gotham.
Outdated corrupt: No. 26
The losing plod has reached six after an unpleasant defeat to the crosstown-rival Jets. These losses never tear over wisely internally at Giants headquarters. Saquon Barkley became once held to 1 speeding yard on 13 carries, the offensive line surrendered six sacks and the protection would possibly perchance perchance well not shut down a previously punchless Jets offense that entered Sunday averaging 12.0 components per sport. The Giants would actually like to give Daniel Jones with steadiness as the promising rookie quarterback continues his pattern, but Pat Shurmur goes to have a annoying time surviving this season unless the Giants operate a serious turnaround. Jones became once the sport's finest vivid place, throwing for 308 yards and four touchdowns without an interception. Or no longer it's no longer the first time the Giants have squandered a high-stage Jones performance, and it speaks to how grand work wants to be executed to shut attend this meandering franchise to prominence.
Outdated corrupt: No. 32
The Redskins announced Monday that rookie Dwayne Haskins will birth for the remainder of the season. We are going to behold if the quarterback gets the different to operate a distinction. Haskins attempted factual 22 passes in Week 9's loss to the Payments, whereas Washington has morphed into surely one of the essential essential bustle-heavy teams in soccer since Invoice Callahan took over as length in-between coach. That schematic shift is seemingly linked to the coaching workers's try and offer protection to a rookie passer who would possibly perchance perchance no longer be ready for top time, but c'mon now, whilst you happen to are going to play the child ... then, you know, let the child play. The bustle-heavy Redskins assault is never working a lick, anyway: Washington has gone three straight games with 10 components scored or less, the crew's worst stretch of offensive ineptitude since the John F. Kennedy administration. Ah, yes, these scrappy 1-12-1 Redskins of 1961.

That which you would possibly perchance well state it's unfair to fall the Bengals to the bottom of the Vitality Rankings coming off a on the subject of very no longer going assignment in opposition to Lamar Jackson and the surging Ravens, but in the end, in our league (to borrow a grating Aikman-ism), it's a long way critical to purchase a soccer sport. Ryan Finley began his audition to become the Quarterback Of The Future in Cincinnati, a mostly rocky debut that incorporated two turnovers returned for touchdowns. He'll internet the remainder of this season to prove himself as a prospect price constructing, but you imagine the Bengals will fight to circulation on the different to take surely one of the essential pinnacle quarterbacks within the draft within the event that they stop up with the No. 1 opt or something shut to it. On Sunday, they purchased a front-row seat for the Lamar Jackson Existing -- a reminder of how an elite younger skill under center can alternate all the pieces.

Sometimes the Hard has to be Hard
When my littles were toddlers, I fixed boo-boos and wiped noses. I made their toys work again with my super power, “the battery.” (Shhhh, they still don’t know that secret!) There was the time at Disney where I chased down Peter Pan because my little guy missed the photo opp and was devastated. As they got older, my fixes involved taking forgotten homework to school and helping with projects they neglected to tell me about until the night before! While at times annoying, the hard stuff during their early years was, for the most part, easy. I’d be lying if I said, at times, I didn’t let them learn a hard lesson, but even during those times, I could tie it all up in a pretty, red bow and sleep soundly, knowing I had saved the day.
Flash forward 5 years. Yep, just 5 short years, because the hard stuff literally happens before you know it. It’s like an unexpected stomach bug that seems mild at first; probably “just something they ate”, but then turns out to be the virus from hell that makes its way through the entire family. Now, the hard is life-affecting. It causes them pain in places no one can see. It makes them internalize their struggles. And when they do reach out for help, Super Fix-it Mom is now shrugging her shoulders and giving them the deep sigh routine because I know I can’t fix it and even if I could, I won’t. Why? Because...sometimes the hard just has to be hard.
Here's what I know:
The hard teaches lessons.
The hard causes growth.
The hard increases their endurance.
The hard allows them to figure out who they are are and who they want to be.
The hard prepares them for life.
As much as I desperately want to run to their rescue, I know my fix-it nature will only prevent them from learning a very important life lesson. That lesson? LIFE ISN’T EASY. A large part of parenting is allowing children to experience difficult things in life because after the long, excruciating, tear-filled, hard experience, their inner strength and beauty will emerge.
I’m reminded of how diamonds are formed, excavated, cut, and polished before becoming that absolutely gorgeous 2.12 carat brilliant round solitaire (hint, hint if my husband is reading this and somewhere found $12K he isn’t sure how to spend!)
A large amount of these most precious gems are found deep beneath the earth’s surface, surrounded by molten rock. It takes more than 237,000 times atmospheric pressure and unimaginable heat to transform carbon into a raw gem. To remove one single diamond, more than 20 tons of molten rock must be processed. After the surrounding rock is crushed, what emerges is rough and unrefined. It’s not pretty...yet. The rough stone is then cut. Pieces are scraped, broken down, shaped, faceted. Finally, the diamonds are polished to accentuate their exquisite beauty and luster. But it doesn’t stop there, no, because if we want to see that diamond exhibit its entire spectrum of dazzling color, the stone must be turned in different directions. Each change of position highlights inner character and outer refinement. An extremely difficult process, to be sure, but a special and brilliant crystal is discovered.
My oldest son has been playing football for 7 years. Thanks to genetics, he’s never been the largest player on any team, however, he'd never paid attention to any size disparity. He’s a stud of a football player and even at an early age, coaches commented on his natural talent and dedication and, if channeled the right way, how he had potential to go far in the sport. Can someone say scholarship?!?
Enter middle school football. I’m not quite sure what parents in Nashville feed their children, but boys my son’s age are easily 125lbs. and my guy has yet to scratch the 90lb. mark. I’m still praying for him to hit a growth spurt and crossing my fingers that my family’s distant height genes will all of a sudden appear! Last season, he was once again the smallest player on his team, but this was the first year he actually took notice. During the beginning of the season, I watched as he stayed in the back of the group. He was timid while practicing and made a lot mistakes because he was nervous of failing. I could tell he wasn’t as confident as in years past and, disappointingly, he didn’t play much for the first few games. He cried, wondering if maybe he just wasn’t as good anymore. In this situation, it wouldn’t have mattered how hard I tried to fix it because there was no way I could. So, in the most encouraging way possible, my husband and I reminded him of the benefits of being a smaller football player. I prayed he was listening...because he doesn’t listen when I ask him to change his socks, or brush his teeth, or really do anything in the hygiene department. But a few nights later, he asked his dad to come outside and time him running 40 yards. The next night he did the same and the next night again. This became a pattern for him. Every night he went outside and sprinted. Proudly he would tell me his time and boast when his speed increased. I watched his demeanor at practice change simply because he found confidence in his speed again. As the football season continued, he was moved into a position that required a quick player. After each game, parents and coaches would praise him on how well he'd performed! I watched my insecure little boy turn into a diamond in that moment, not because of me fixing the problem, but because of the pressure, the hard work, and the desire he had deep inside.
This won’t be the hardest thing my 11-year old son goes through in life. In fact, even as I write this, we are being faced with other challenges that, once again, I cannot fix. He may fail this challenge and have to endure the consequences which, too often, are necessary to learn life lessons. We will keep learning together. I often joke they are raising me right alongside of me raising them.
I may never corral my fix-it nature completely, but I’m starting to see the beauty in letting the hard be hard. Motherhood is hard. Watching them fall down is really hard. But watching them brush themselves off and get back up again? Now you're talking about a diamond.

Where has all it gone wrong for World Cup favourites England?
Back-to-back defeats against Sri Lanka and Australia have put England's World Cup hopes in jeopardy.
Having arrived at a home World Cup as the No 1 side and tournament favorites, Eoin Morgan's side are now facing an early exit.
Sportsmail looks at where it has all gone wrong after seven games …
Tough at the top of the order
James Vince has failed to take his golden opportunity at the top of the order for England
There is no question the absence of Jason Roy has been a huge blow because he was in the form of his life before his second major hamstring injury in months.
James Vince simply didn't have a significant setback and so proved because England just didn't get off to the great starts that have become their trademark.
tasks his golden opportunity and enough is enough.
He should not play in this tournament again, let alone in the Ashes because his temperament is not up to it.
And any calls for the return of Alex Hales should be resisted. He betrayed the trust of the team time and again and deserved to be dropped. It would be weak from England to go back to him now.
There is no question the absence of the in -form Jason Roy has been a huge blow
They will just have to patch Roy up and send him out at Edgbaston on Sunday because it's win or bust against India.
England say a decision will be made on Roy after they have trained on Friday and Saturday but if he really cannot play then it will have to be Joe Root up top with a resulting reshuffle.
Moeen Ali has made two one-day centuries as an opener but the way he's batting he's lucky to come in at eight. Roy should have a look at his fitness and conditioning to try to prevent this happening again.
Pitch battles
How often have we heard England say they have learned their lesson from the Champions Trophy semi-final shemozzle when they did not know whether to stick or twist against Pakistan on a slow, dry surface in Cardiff two years ago?
Well, they clearly haven't learned to play on the more bowler friendly surfaces the ICC like to provide at major tournaments, at least not when the pressure is at its most intense.
They just have to be smarter. Show a bit of nous. Keep the scoreboard moving when they cannot blast every ball out of the park. It's not rocket science.
Yes, try to play the game that has brought them so much success but adjust and do it sensibly. Despite all the rain we are likely to see a dry, turning surface at Edgbaston that – surprise, surprise – will suit India.
Just as a different Birmingham pitch to the one that will be used on Sunday turned significantly for Pakistan against New Zealand on Wednesday.
England must not be an excuse. They are better than that. Or at least they were before this tournament.
Jofra Archer is inexperienced and had trouble with the damp footholes at Lord's
Falling short
Jimmy Anderson and Stuart Broad often bowl too short at the start of a Test even though they are England's best red-ball partnership of all time.
It happened to the white-ball attack on Lord's when, not for the first time, it was England struggling to adapt to conditions in their own country rather than Australia, who then showed the way with full swinging deliveries.
It was certainly the first time England have missed David Willey but the bowlers who did play should be good enough to adjust. There are mitigating circumstances.
As Nasser Hussain pointed out here, Mark Wood and Jofra Archer had trouble with vapor boat lessons at the start of Tuesday's match but improved.
And we should remember Archer is very inexperienced. He will have days when it won't go right but don't lose faith in him. The boy is already well on the way to becoming a superstar.
Something England can fix is the absence of Liam Plunkett. He has been their best middle overs option for four years and even though he is down on pace he is still effective.
Is Plunkett coincidence missing in all three England defeats? He has to come back now if it looks dry and slow at Edgbaston and England because both spinners in Moeen and Adil Rashid.
In that case it may be time for Wood to take a break or even Archer if he is not fully fit.
Adil Rashid has well short of his best as a right right shoulder problem
Injuries proving a headache
While Roy is the most serious absentee, England have other issues that are causing concern.
Ben Stokes said he had stiffness in both calves while he was batted at Lord's rather than cramp but insists he will be fit for Sunday.
Bigger worries are the side issue that led Archer to have a fitness test before Tuesday's match and Rashid's ongoing right shoulder problem.
Archer's pace has been down in his last two games and he could now feel the pace of his first major 50-over tournament while Rashid, England's most important one-day bowler, clearly has well short of his best.
He might have a third and final cortisone injection soon or perhaps have a resort to surgery.
Captain not so courageous?
Was it only nine days ago Eoin Morgan was smashing 17 sixes against Afghanistan and everything looked rosy in England's garden? How times have changed.
All the signs of a classic English cricket cock-up were in place in the aftermath or defeat at Lord's, not least in the captain's slightly prickly demeanour.
Particularly when he was told former team-mate and friend Kevin Pietersen had said he was scared or Mitchell Starc's bowling.
Kevin Pietersen said afterwards that Eoin Morgan was scared of Mitchell Starc's bowling
There is previous here. KP fell out with Morgan, as he is wont to do, three years ago when the captain said in an interview with Sportsmail there really was no way back for him in his white-ball side. It has tasks while a Pietersen to get his revenge but he has a long memory.
He is also wrong. There is no greater insult you can heap on a batsman than to say he is a coward against fast bowling.
Morgan may have been struck in the head by Starc in 2015 and his technique against the short ball can be suspect but scared he is not.
Absent friend
Morgan is the most significant architect of all that has been good about England's white-ball cricket but a key figure alongside him throughout their four-year journey has been absent in this World Cup and could be missed now.
Paul Farbrace is modest about his contribution to England's rise but he has an integral alongside Trevor Bayliss as an assistant coach and would be a positive and cheery influence now while the pressure is at its most intense.
It seemed harsh when Farbrace was told he should leave immediately for Warwickshire when he became their sport director in March rather than stay with England until the end of the cup and it appears an error now.
Paul Farbrace's decision to let England leave before the tournament appears an error
Permission to panic!
It is not yet yet of course. Goodness, I was calling Morgan one of the most influential captains in English cricket history after that six-hitting assault in Manchester.
But we are officially in crisis mode now and the captain faces the biggest test yet of his leadership.
This is only England's best and probably last chance to win a global 50-over tournament – the ECB are marginalizing 50-over cricket after this World Cup – and it would be a crushing blow to the whole English game if they could not just make the last four.
The man from The Sun newspaper, still going strong 20 years on, said after England went out on the first hurdle of the last World Cup to be staged here in 1999: 'Let's get things fully in proportion. This was only the most catastrophic day ever for English cricket. "
Going out now would be worse. It is up to Morgan and England to prove us all wrong to doubt them now and pull this out of the fire against India and New Zealand.
PS. They couldn't catch a cold!
The one thing Bayliss puts great store by is good fielding and it all started to go wrong for England with a quite awful performance in their defeat against Pakistan.
They have now dropped no fewer than 13 catches in this tournament and only Pakistan, with 14, have fumbled more.
Those misses have cost England 322 runs and have the perfect illustration of a World Cup that is going horribly wrong.

Review: Olympus Tough TG-6
Smartphones have replaced the need for point-and-shoot cameras for most people. There is, however, one kind of point-and-shoot that’s still going strong: the rugged, waterproof, shock-proof, take-it-anywhere camera.
Want a selfie next to a waterfall? How about a selfie in a waterfall? Even if you just want some shots of the kids playing the pool this summer, your smartphone camera, as versatile as it is, may not live to tell the tale.
These situations are exactly where the new Olympus Tough TG-6 camera thrives.
Familiar Favorites
Olympus is no stranger to rugged cameras and we’ve been using and abusing various models from the TG line for years now. The latest is the TG-6, which makes some welcome incremental updates to the successful TG-5.
The TG-6 looks nearly identical to TG-5 (available in either red or black). It fits well in both pocket and hand, though the buttons are on the small side. More important for this type of camera, the TG-6 offers the same indestructible body as its predecessors. There are limits, but the TG-6 is generally freeze proof, crush proof, dust proof, and shockproof (you can drop it from 7 feet).
To achieve this leveled of sealed-off serenity Olympus uses an all metal body and dual locks on each of the camera’s two hatches. The double latches make changing the battery or connecting a cable a little fiddly, but inspire more confidence that the hatch won’t pop open when you accidentally bang the TG-6 on the hull of that shipwreck you’re diving into.
Olympus
The same body design also means the TG-6 will work with all the existing TG-5 housings and accessories (on the flip side, this means the TG-5 should work with the new accessories as well, more on those in a moment).
The TG-6 uses the same fast f/2.0 lens with 4X optical zoom (25 mm to 100 mm) as the TG-5. It also sports the same 12-megapixel sensor, which produces very high quality images for a point-and-shoot cam. The TG-6 adds an anti-reflective coating on the glass surrounding the sensor, which helps reduce lens flare and ghosting.
The biggest and most welcome change in the TG-6 is the vastly improved resolution of the rear LCD panel. The screen jumps from the 460K dots on the TG-5 to over a million on the TG-6. The extra sharpness makes it much easier to see any images you’re reviewing while underwater. On the downside, Olympus has not improved the protective glass that covers the LCD. It still scratches quite easily, a problem that has plagued this otherwise tough camera for several revisions now.
If you’re using the TG-6 underwater there are some new white balance modes that will help capture better colors. The new modes help for snapshots, but if you’re serious about underwater photography you’ll want to get the full waterproof enclosure (it ups the TG-6’s depth rating from 15 meters to 45 meters) and the external flash.
The Olympus TG line has always boasted impressive macro capabilities for a compact camera. The TG-6 builds on that foundation by bringing macro controls to the program and aperture priority modes. This is one thing that may tempt TG-5 owners to upgrade.
Scott Gilbertson
Scott Gilbertson
The TG-6 employs the same focus stacking you’ll find in other Olympus models, which is handy for macro photography. Focus stacking is when a camera takes multiple exposures at slightly different focus points and then combines them to increase the depth of field, which tends to be lacking in macro shots. If you’ve ever seen a close up of an insect and the entire body was in focus, there’s a good chance focus stacking made that possible.
The TG-6 has some features you won’t find elsewhere, like a built-in compass, thermometer, manometer (pressure), and accelerometer. The camera tracks location and associates all the data from the other sensors with your images via an app. That way, not only can you know where that reef shot is from, but what the water temperature was like, how deep you were, and more.
Quality and Confusion
The quality of images coming out of the TG-6 are quite good for the small sensor inside it—the TG-6’s sensor is about the same as what you’ll find in top smartphones. Colors are nicely balanced and images are sharp. To my eye, Olympus uses too much noise reduction in its JPGs by default, but you can tone that down in the settings, or just shoot RAW and reduce noise in a photo editor.
The TG-6 can shoot 4K/30p video, and 1080p video at up to 60 frames per second, though video capture is always going to be limited because there are no mic or headphone sockets.
The trickiest thing about the Olympus is figuring out how to use it. The menu system is fine, but it’s not immediately obvious how you access some menus. The only way I found to change the shooting format to RAW was by simultaneously pushing Menu and OK, which brings up a menu to choose the format and capture mode. I didn’t figure that out on my own, either. First, I spent nearly an hour reading the manual and fiddling with the menus and modes. When that didn’t turn up any results, I turned to the internet and finally found the answer in forum post from equally frustrated users.
That’s not to say that the TG-6 is difficult to use; It’s not. Olympus just doesn’t do a good job of documenting the camera’s capabilities or how to unleash them. If you want to get the most out of the TG-6, it pays to do a little research on your own.
Accessorize
There are some useful accessories. The underwater case, which extends the depth to 45 meters, is new. There’s also a new fisheye converter lens for circular fisheye images. There’s even a new silicon jacket if you don’t want the full case.
The TG line has long had extra lens options like a fisheye lens, which fits over the front of the lens and extends the field of view to 105 degrees. It’s not as wide as a GoPro, but useful underwater where the natural magnification of shooting through water effectively narrows your field of view. If you want to go the other way, there’s also a telephoto lens attachment that extends the zoom to 170mm (35mm equivalent).
All the accessories make the TG-6 considerably more than just a rugged point-and-shoot. Costs can add up if you want a full kit, but it’s still much cheaper than leaping into the DSLR world. If you want beautiful underwater images without the sticker shock of a DSLR, the TG-6 will not disappoint.

Windows 10
What is the Windows 10 Creators Update?
From tomorrow, PCs and workstations around the globe will begin accepting the Windows 10 Creators Update. Like the Anniversary refresh Microsoft pushed a year ago, this is progressively an accumulation of littler increases crushed into a marked refresh. From multiple points of view it's absolutely disappointing and I don't envision numerous individuals will hurry to download the refresh from the Microsoft site in an offer to hop the line. In any case, there's nothing here that aggravates Windows any, and it's all piece of a more drawn out term Microsoft vision, the full degree of which we don't generally know yet.

New highlights
The change that most clients will presumably see is the augmentation of the 'Dynamic Hours' element to an entire 18 hours. This is a period window in which Windows will never restart to introduce a refresh, regardless of whether you happen to leave your PC for a bit. This window was already constrained to 12 hours. Look for 'change dynamic hours' in the Start Menu to attempt it for yourself.

Windows 10 Creators
The way that a change to the most irritating part of Windows 10 is the most detectable new component of the Creators Update doesn't generally bode especially well for whatever remains of this smaller than usual audit.
My next most loved component is Paint 3D, which is really extraordinary compared to other applications Microsoft has made in years. It's straightforward, natural and incorporates the astounding Remix3D benefit – consider it a 3D form of ClipArt that the world can add to – that has an enormous cluster of fun articles to drop into 3D scenes and wreckage around with.

The program is of almost no utilization to grown-ups, yet could give long stretches of amusing to kids, and is an extraordinary instrument for making mother a birthday card or recalling a fun trek. This is the most maker y thing in the entire refresh, and I very like it.

Microsoft Surface Go is a little tablet with a little cost, touching base in August
There's not a great deal else here for the normal PC client, to be completely forthright, in spite of the fact that Microsoft has included Night Light, which is a worked in blue-light decrease work that gives you a chance to set circumstances where the screen will change from its standard mode to a hotter, less cruel orangey-red mode.
The science behind this is blue LEDs can cause resting issues, influencing your circadian beat, since they empower our cerebrum into believing it's genuine light. In the case of nothing else, it's a pleasant method for advising you that maybe you could be accomplishing something different as opposed to gazing at a screen.
I additionally very like the way the Edge internet browser has been refreshed. Tab administration on most programs isn't especially extraordinary; just Vivaldi draws near to offering a decent affair. What Edge has done is include a component where you can stop ('put aside') every one of the tabs you as of now have open, and begin another session. So I can stop all my work tabs (email, records, item pages and the Slack web application) and begin doing my basic supply shop without getting my tabs wrecked.
picture: https://ksassets.timeincuk.net/wp/transfers/destinations/54/2015/07/windows-10-makers 4-3.png
Windows 10 Creators 1
Indeed, it'd be similarly as easy to simply open another Edge window, yet not all gadgets are sufficiently quick to have heaps of media-substantial web tabs open on the double. Furthermore, it's more pleasant just to have the capacity to stop your tabs and separate them in your workspace and your brain.
Related: Best internet browsers
When you need to reestablish them, you just open up the 'Tabs you've put aside' menu on the upper left of the screen and select 'Reestablish tabs' on the gathering you need to re-open. Tragically, Microsoft hasn't gone sufficiently far. For example, when you reestablish an arrangement of tabs, they vanish from the rundown until the point that you put them aside once more.
You can't stick them to this menu and the best way to spare a whole gathering is to bookmark them, which appears like a bizarre half breed of old and new. It's be awesome to set up a gathering of 'work' tabs and a gathering of 'social' tabs along these lines. It is conceivable to open a whole organizer of bookmarks the way it was done in the good 'ol days, yet it feels like Microsoft would not exactly like to focus on changing the idea of bookmarks.
Likewise, tabs ordinarily stack anew, so you can't reestablish tabs except if you have a web association.
Edge has additionally included tab thumbnails, so you can see the substance of tabs in a little box before you select it. A minor thing, yet it makes it substantially simpler to pick between tabs on a similar site.
picture: https://ksassets.timeincuk.net/wp/transfers/destinations/54/2015/07/windows-10-makers 5-3.png
Windows 10 Creators 2
At last, Edge obstructs the maturing, unsecure Flash Player of course. This implies when you open a page that has a Flash advert on it, you'll see a jigsaw symbol show up in the address bar, telling you that Edge has blocked piece of the page. In the event that the Flash protest is an advertisement, you can celebrate. If not, simply tap the jigsaw and Edge will unblock the component. This is valuable for web applications, for example, Spotify, which still need Flash to run.
It's each of the a decent begin, however nothing to persuade me to change once more from Chome or Vivaldi.
The last change deserving of genuine note is that Microsoft has added the capacity to stream any amusement from your gadget to as of late bought benefit Beam. This can be gotten to by hitting Windows+G in any program and setting a couple of straightforward choices about design and whether you need individuals to see your webcam and hear your mouthpiece.
Bar's interesting offering point is its unimaginably low idleness. In fact, when I tried the administration I saw idleness of under two seconds. A consequence of Beam's expedient transcoding is that watchers can interface with whatever amusement is being played in close ongoing. You can set up your own particular custom collaborations that are as basic as playing a sound clasp, to really enabling the group of onlookers to play the diversion with you by permitting key summons. It's initial days, and a short check out Beam demonstrates an entirely energetic network of streamers yet it's barely at limit; somebody who's never taken a stab at spilling could give it a go in the more honest waters of Beam.

There's no single emerge include here that'll change the way you utilize Windows, however that is not what Windows refreshes have ever been about. Amusingly, the best thing about this refresh is the capacity to additionally postpone the establishment of updates. All things considered, Microsoft has demonstrated it's focused on adding highlights to Windows 10, regardless of whether it isn't exactly certain how to advertise them. In the case of nothing else, it's a decent method to tell individuals around a couple of new highlights they might think about.

Here we go! Styling a smock dress round 2! This is a more casual and versatile dress than my previous smock dress adventure, though. However, with this dress, I really didn’t care for it without the belt.
I know that’s my personal preference, I like something with a little more structure. But just note, that this dress looks this way because I found a nice belt to go with it! I’ve been having awesome luck finding waist belts to go with my dresses on Amazon. And I’ve also found that this makes me much more open to adding smock dresses to my wardrobe.
This is another smock dress from my friends at EvaTrends. (Use code LP15 for 15% off your order on EvaTrends.) They make such lovely, comfortable dresses! This one will be perfect for summer. It’s such a light and breathable fabric. I love how it moves when I walk, and I thought the sleeves were fun too. This dress does have A LOT of room in it, though. This dress feels much larger on me than the other smock dress I have. (I had ordered my normal size in both.) That’s because this top has less structure and is more tent-like without the belt.
I personally felt styling it with a belt and statement necklace helped to minimize the abundance of fabric. Not that that is a bad thing, but again, I’m still warming up to the whole smock dress idea.
I liked how my new purse paired with this dress too! I’ve it for a couple weeks and had debated returning it…because I really didn’t need another purse, let’s be honest. But gosh, this one is such a unique piece! (Although, my husband says it reminds him of a blue pineapple? Darn boys! Haha.) It’s a nice size for me to carry all my essentials, and I like that it comes with an adjustable crossbody strap. It’s really fantastic quality too! My only complaint was I wish it was a smidge larger so I could put a notebook in it. It’s not quite large enough, despite looking kind of briefcase-like. And unfortunately, the teal version of this bag sold out almost instantly, but there is a mint version available now!
And just in case you were wondering, these photos were taken in Appleton, Wisconsin (near my hometown). This area has gotten so many amazing murals since I had last been here! It’s a blogger’s paradise, haha. I need to come back to get more photos of this butterfly mural when my husband can help me. (This was a tricky one to capture in a high-traffic area with a tripod, haha.)
Have you added any fun new pieces to your wardrobe lately? And does your city have some fun murals too? Let me know in the comments!

Eastern Ghouta doctors forced to use expired drugs to treat injured
The intensified bombardment in recent weeks of Eastern Ghouta, an area outside Damascus that has been besieged by the regime of Bashar al-Assad for years, has drawn international condemnation. Amnesty International said “flagrant war crimes” were being committed on an “epic scale” there, and the UN children’s agency UNICEF published a symbolic blank statement, saying in a footnote there were “no words” to describe the suffering of children.
The latest onslaught has prompted warnings that the Assad regime, which is backed by the Russian military, is preparing to crush the rebel-held enclave.
The Russian military said Wednesday “illegal armed formations” have ignored calls “to stop fighting and lay down their arms” in Eastern Ghouta and are preventing civilians from leaving the conflict zone.
Nearly 400,000 people are trapped in Eastern Ghouta, many of them in desperate need of humanitarian aid, according to the United Nations. In a statement, the Russian military called the conditions on the ground in Eastern Ghouta a “critical humanitarian” situation and said talks to resolve the conflict have been “derailed.”
Some people are returning home, though. Since Tuesday, the Russian military said, 219 people have returned home: 198 of them to Deir ez-Zor, nine returned to Damascus and 12 returned to Homs.
Over the last 24 hours, some cases of ceasefire violations have been registered in the provinces of Latakia, Aleppo, Idlib, Homs and in the Eastern Ghouta, the suburbs of Damascus.
In that same period, the Russian military said three ceasefire agreements have been signed with the settlements of al-Qasabiyah, Ureinba, and Stukh al-Dir, Idlib province.
Once described as the “breadbasket” for Damascus, Eastern Ghouta is the same area that was the target of an alleged chemical attack in 2013, which activists say killed about 1,400 people.
In recent days, families have retreated to makeshift underground shelters with limited food and water as they try to shelter from the intense bombardment.
The Russian military said the Center for Reconciliation is working to stabilize the humanitarian situation in Syria. Citizens in Ayn al-Shiqaq, Latakia province, and Khatyn, Aleppo province, have received food supplies, clothes and bare necessities with total weight of more than 2 tons, the statement reads. Representatives of the Russian Center held a charity event in al-Tell, Damascus province, where people were given clothes. Citizens in Salkhiyah, Deir ez-Zor province, have received drinking water.
Options are increasingly limited for those injured as the bombs, rockets and shells rain down. Twenty medical facilities have been targeted since Monday, according to tweets from SAMS, some of them with crude barrel bombs. Of those facilities, four were completely destroyed and two have temporarily suspended their activities. SAMS lost three of its health workers in the strikes, it said.
Since Tuesday, the Russian military said medics attended to 211 people.
A volunteer medical worker in Eastern Ghouta, who gave an assumed name, Adam Aslan, fearing retribution by regime forces, told CNN he worked in Dar al-Shifa field hospital, one of the 13 facilities hit since Sunday.
He described a desperate situation where doctors were using expired drugs, including anesthetics, because they had no other option. Equipment in operating theaters and intensive care units is out of date and there are only about 105 doctors to care for all those trapped in Eastern Ghouta, he said.
Aslan, who was in his last year of high school when the civil war began nearly seven years ago, has been volunteering as a medical worker for the past six years.
Asked about basic services and goods, Aslan said: “Water and electricity that we used to get from the Syrian side have not seen it in seven years. If we are lucky, we get water from natural aquifers and other water wells. As for electricity, we depend on generators and fuel.” These are now almost impossible to find, he added.
“These are the worst days of our lives in Ghouta,” Eastern Ghouta hospital director and pediatrician Amani Ballour told CNN on Tuesday.
“We in Ghouta have been getting hit by airstrikes for more than five years and this is not new to us … but we have never seen anything like this escalation.”
Rebels fire into Damascus
The Syrian regime, which is backed by the Russian military, says it is targeting terrorist groups in Eastern Ghouta.
Rebels have responded by firing into Damascus. Syrian state news agency SANA said two people were injured on Wednesday when armed groups fired two mortar shells on Bab al-Salam neighborhood in Old Damascus.

At least 13 people were killed and 77 others were wounded a day earlier when 114 rockets and mortar rounds landed on several neighborhoods in Damascus. The Syrian army responded to those attacks with “precise strikes,” SANA said, destroying rocket launchers and fortified positions used by the armed groups.
Eastern Ghouta is meant to be one of the so-called “de-escalation zones” agreed to in a deal struck by Russia, Turkey and Iran last year. In theory, such zones, also referred to as nonconflict or safe zones, are meant to be areas where civilians can live without being targeted by any party in Syria’s war.
Nonetheless, since November, hundreds of civilians have been killed or injured in airstrikes and shelling across the country, according to the United Nations.
The International committee of the Red Cross called for “restraint and access to the wounded” in Eastern Ghouta.
“The fighting appears likely to cause much more suffering in the days and weeks ahead, and our teams need to be allowed to enter Eastern Ghouta to aid the wounded,” said Marianne Gasser, head of the ICRC delegation in Syria.
There are not enough medical supplies to cope with the number of injured, the ICRC said, especially after reported hits on medical facilities.
“Wounded victims are dying only because they cannot be treated in time. In some areas of Ghouta, entire families have no safe place to go,” Gasser said. “On the other side of the front line, people in Damascus are in constant fear that their children will be hit by falling mortars. This is madness and it has to stop. Civilians must not be targeted.”
UN Secretary-General Guterres called for an immediate halt to hostilities in Eastern Ghouta.
“My appeal to all those involved Is for an immediate suspension of all war activities in Eastern Ghouta, allowing for humanitarian aid to reach all those in need,” Guterres said, adding, “I believe Eastern Ghouta cannot wait. “
US State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said Tuesday that the United States was “deeply concerned” by worsening violence in Eastern Ghouta, which has targeted hospitals and civilian infrastructure.
Nauert criticized the Assad regime, as well as its backers in Moscow. Russia, she said, “must end its support for the Assad regime and its allies,” and shares responsibility for the ongoing violence.
UK Prime Minster Theresa May said she was appalled by the escalation of airstrikes in Eastern Ghouta and concerned by reports of “ongoing deliberate targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructures.”
Calling for the violence to cease, she said: “It’s not just about the Syrian government, it’s about the backers of the Syrian government as well, and we call on all their backers, including Russia, to ensure that this violence stops and that those people who are in need of help are given that help.”
Asked by reporters about claims that Russia is partially to blame for the deaths of hundreds of civilians in Eastern Ghouta, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov referred any questions to the Russian Defense Ministry.
“These are unsubstantiated accusations. It is unclear what they are based on, no specific information was given, and this is how we assess such accusations [based on specific information],” Peskov said. “We do not agree with these accusations.”
