i think classical music, art and literature are so connected, he started with one of them and fell in love with the others as he got deeper in to the subject.

i think his major could be something like physics or math that everyone generally finds difficult and avoids. pepe genuinely loves physics because he always found stuff fascinating and then he found out there was an explanation for it all!!

pepe definitely wrote how physics & literature are really similar, with valid examples for an essay his first year, that endeared both his physics professor and his literature professor (which might be why she wanted pepe to be partners with you (who is one of her star students) she couldn't for the work you two would do together!!)

Hello @disappointed-pepe, this took a while but I'm now finally ready to answer your question ☺️

Tips for incoming accounting students:

First, you need to know what subjects you'll be taking prior to the start of the semester. Research on the said subjects so you'll have an overview.

A lot of accounting students tend to buy books all the time (what you use this year may get outdated the following year) so I suggest maximize the use of the library. I don't have that much money way back in college so I spend most of my time in the library. It's free and the books are all new. I just borrow them.

If you know any seniors in your school, ask around about the accounting professors. So that you'll know whether you need to change classes or how to deal with them.

You have to study EVERYDAY. You can't be lazy if this is the path you wanted. Allocate hours per day. This depends on your learning curve but I suggest do not sacrifice your sleep. Accounting students are mostly sleep deprived but trust me, if you're not the type of person who will be ok with just 3-4 hours of sleep....just sleep early and wake up early next morning.

It's important to create your own notes. You should not just copy from your books but rephrase it to something you can easily understand.

If allowed by professors, record the lectures. Replay them while writing your notes.

In terms of problem solving, you have no choice but to practice everyday. There are a lot of practice books/reviewers where you can test your knowledge. Trust me you need to start this early. I regret being lax in my younger years.

Pray and trust in yourself too.

Don't beat yourself just in case failures arise. Tbh it's normal in the accounting field. Take care of your mental health. FYI majority of my classmates before have anxiety and depression 😭

lmao I was actually a problem child in elementary school. like I could do the school work, but I was also always hella bored so I stirred some shit and my teachers were not happy with that. so they appreciated my intelligence, but not my energy.

probably movies. I didn’t really watch tv for a long time and I didn’t have any sort of streaming service so movies were the only thing I’d watch.

I have a lot of pain in my knee and hip joints so a lot of sitting positions hurt for long periods of time. I’ll cross my legs if I’m sitting ‘properly’ but if I’m just sitting on my couch, I put my back to the armrest and sit with my legs bent a bit.

20. preferred place to write (i.e., in a note book, on your laptop, sketchpad, post-it notes, etc.)?

Notebook or laptop. Notebooks are great for helping me focus and sink into my writing, but I mostly use my laptop because it’s easier to just start writing on it and I can rearrange my writing if necessary without too much trouble.

24. favorite crystal?

hmmm. probably prasiolite. it’s very similar to peridot (my birthstone) in color.

this is a difficult question. there’s three songs that immediately pop into my head but I don’t talk about two of them ever because they make me cry. The third is Silence by Marshmello. in high school, it was art. I love art, but I’m not a good art student. in college, probably linear algebra. that class was so boring.
