☯ : Do you prefer to wing it or to plot things out first when it comes to longer threads?

I think that always depends - but in general, I assume it tends to be good to at the very least have a starting point, so I guess that means plotting (to a degree, and not completely counting when stuff comes from memes because usually that takes care of a rough starting-point)? But when we do have a general ‘what we want to happen’, I think it’s nice to just let things happen as they do?

So, I guess a mix of both!

✎ : What is your favorite genre to write for in roleplay?

I don’t know, actually! I’m absolutely incapable of putting stuff into genres, so I don’t know! I like when, somewhere in threads, people actually open up to one another, like, talk about past happenings or the likes. And I think a lot of my threads would go into the ‘casual’ or ‘fluff’ category so maybe that? But I have a lot of other threads I like or liked a lot too, so I don’t think I really have a favourite genre.

✉ : What’s your favorite genre to read in roleplay?

I don’t really read that much specifically because of it being in a genre - if at all, I read RPs because they appear on my dash by being done by one of my mutuals with someone else!

✘ : Are there any genres you refuse to write for?

Smut would be the first thing I can name here, since I simply don’t write that stuff. Outside of that, uh, I can’t think of anything immediately!

✪ : Do you use roleplay as a method to better your writing in some way? If so, what are you trying to improve on?

I don’t actively think that I’m using it to better my writing, but I think upon repeating something again and again - which basically any RPer existing longer than a week does - it’s pretty much automatic that it also helps one to get better at it, so I sure hope that RPing does better my writing!

I can’t name anything in particular that I’m currently working on improving - I can say that I’m definitely interested in dash talk and all that stuff (you know, these fast-paced things that usually go back and forth quickly and die after a few hours or so) though I can’t quite see me actually trying to participate in it.

🎭 : Is roleplaying/writing a way to cope when things get rough irl?

I like to live in the world of my RPs, of my characters, so yes in a way - but I don’t really think I’m coping with stuff. It’s just that I like to think myself into a different world, and yeah. I guess I’m just mostly ignoring RL as much as I can anyway, so there isn’t really much to cope?

⌘ : How much importance do you place real experience into the things you write/rp?

Pfft, right, I could barely write about anything at all, then!

So, to actually answer this: Very little importance. I think as long as one can write it well, or imagine it, it isn’t important if they actually have experience in the area or not.

⚡ : What typically leads to inspiration for you when it comes to writing?

Nothing in particular! Like, there was at least once recently a dream that inspired my for a wishlist thing on Moonshot (which I still wanna write some day, and I’m considering to make my next open on him be about the situation even if that doesn’t really mean it’s any more likely for me to be able to explore the situation but still), and movies or stories or pictures do inspire me for things too, but mostly I think it’s just my imagination and what ‘letting my characters run freely’ there brings up. Hard to explain!

✿ : What’s your stance on self-inserts?

It feels a bit like a weird thing to me, and I don’t know if I quite entirely know all the specifics to the term. I’m not a fan of RPing with ‘real’ people anyway - be it from actual history, or politics or maybe stars or bands or whatever else exists as people RPing them - so I don’t think having someone put a FC around it changes that much?

If it’s a character they can simply connect to a lot, and maybe have some headcanons here and there that would also fit to themselves, that’s a totally different thing I think?

⌚ : When in the day do you feel you do your best writing?

There isn’t really any specific time of day! I usually do most writing during the afternoon and evening, but that’s because it’s how my day is scheduled and not because I can write there best or anything.

♟ : Do you do any research when you roleplay?

Number one - a lot of looking up of english words. There’s a reason why I basically always have a tab of a dictionary open.

And of course, if I’m to write like a poisoning or a certain area being wounded or a specific type of sickness, and if I haven’t researched anything to it or something similar before, I will try to look up a few things. It helps to get a better image of it, I think.

♞ : Which do you prefer, shorter or longer roleplay posts?

I can’t really work with one-liners much, they often feel like no effort had been made, so, longer than that would be good. Outside of that, as long as there’s something I can work with, I think I don’t have much preference towards how long or short is it. Well, I mean, maybe a full-on novel or something would be a bit much as reply xD, but I assume that’s rather unlikely to happen anyway with how RP works.

Or if this is about the length of posts, I can only try to appeal to people again, to please cut their posts, and remove and ask from a continued thread. But I don’t think that that’s what the question is about, so I won’t say more on that here.

♥ : What kinds of characters are the most fun for you to write for?

If you look at my muses, I guess the only answer I can give is: Aliens!

I don’t know, maybe that has to do with confidence. I have other characters too, but when considering to write them I tend to feel uncertain of if I can do certain things or if they work or would be interesting for others, so, I think that’s why my roster so far only exists of tamaraneans.

In general though, I think I tend to enjoy writing characters in a certain ‘good against evil’, or call it maybe action if you want, setting more than casual, everyday life ones, if that makes sense.

💔 : What kinds of characters do you have the most trouble writing for?

First thing that comes to mind here, is ‘sexy’. Like, take Blackfire for example, if I wasn’t as much myself as I am, I bet I’d have her do or say a lot more ‘dirty’ or suggestive stuff. I just can’t write that, and that’s one of the reasons why every now and then I feel like I don’t do Blackfire justice at all.

➳ : When creating OCs, what do you typically start with first? (i.e. appearance, name, a theme, etc.)

I think usually the rough ‘who’ comes first, as in what they do or are for? Like, that was the case with both Moonshot and Starlight, and, though I don’t think anyone actually knows of her since I only made like one post about her ever or so, Kahmlur. Also with most other (= non-tamaranean) OCs I’ve ever made I think. Usually first comes the rough idea, like said, and then I’ll work on details some more, like how I imagine their personality or behaviour. And usually by then already a image starts to form in my mind for their looks, which will then be the next thing to do. An actual detailed backstory usually only comes when I actually want to, like, write them on something public like here I think. Or when I happen to just be bored enough to write one.

Though of course, sometimes it can also happen that I play around in some character creator, and the result inspires me to do an OC out of that look.

♚ : What’s something you just can’t stand and will unfollow someone over?

If it happens too much and too often, a dozen, especially when non-RP, posts almost at all the same time. I get it, they’re online at that moment and want to share stuff or something, but it’s just too much and frustrating to see other stuff through. So yes, if that happens too often, I might end up unfollowing.

🌟 : How do you usually like to start an interaction with someone new, or do you prefer to have them approach you?

When I followed someone first, and they follow me back, I usually take an effort to make myself go to their IMs soon-ish (or asks or whatever if like their rules say they don’t want IMs, or the likes) and just greet them in some way. I try to lead that talk then towards something more, maybe plotting or a random starter or whatever, or at least to asking for how they prefer to start things.

As with those following me first, well, usually I kinda subconsciously wait for them to come to me first. Which… not always happens, and I think I should change that thinking anyway since I should just approach even if they were the first to follow if I want to interact with them too, but uh, that’s just what I do there without actually thinking much about it.

(And as for those I never become mutuals with - I usually don’t reach out there. I’m not confident enough to do that, so if I’m not ending up mutuals with someone, I’ll in 90% of the cases unfollow again once I realize it won’t happen, and the other 10% I’ll keep on my dash because I really like their content, even if it makes me sad that I won’t ever interact with them. And those that I never follow back, I hope I’m having it stated where I can clear enough that I’m still open to them approaching, though of course I have a right to say no in occasions.)

💕 : When it comes to shipping do you prefer to draw things out and let them develop slowly, or do you prefer to jump right into them and skip the developmental stage?

I love the interactions, the deepening of a connection, the admitting of secrets or talking about heavy topics of the past! Not that I have ever had those to write much, but I still love the idea, and so I think I can with rather good certainty say that I prefer the slow developing.

@gryffindormischief and I are proud to present a cooperative effort! It all started as a fun conversation and now we have over 5,000 words for y’all!

Harry sat by the fire in the common room, trying to talk himself out of it.

It’s a bad idea, his brain kept saying, in a voice that sounded all too much like Hermione. He shouldn’t ask her. It would be difficult to get the words out for starters, but -- Merlin -- he needed to know! He hated being blind. Harry liked going into a situation with as much detail as he could get, without it… well, he wouldn’t let his mind drift back to anything like that now.

He shook his head. He didn’t want to do this, but who else could he ask? Sirius was gone, Remus was busy with the Order, Mr Weasley -- Hell no! No, he could only think of one person who he could handle going to this about.

With his decision made, Harry stood from the sofa, crumpling the paper he had been doodling on and threw it into the fire. It was only an hour before curfew, so most people had settled into the Common Room for the night, minus patrolling prefects and stressed fifth and seventh years who haunted the library.

No one paid him any mind as he exited the portrait hole. Ever since he and Ginny had gotten together people watched him like a show animal, more than usual. Though honestly, he didn’t really care (for once), because he was blissfully distracted by Ginny.

Ginny… The reason he was having to do this… The cause of all this…

Harry’s feet led him to the office without any guidance from his mind. Then his fist rattled the door without any forethought.

Professor McGonagall opened at the third knock, her teaching robes still on, even though the lateness of the hour would have presented her with more than enough chance to relax.

“Potter.” Her tone was as sharp as ever, but her eyes shone with curiosity. “What’s happened?”

“Noth -” Harry’s voice betrayed him as it cracked. He cleared his throat, trying to prevent his face from flushing. “Nothing, professor.”

“Students don’t come to my office for nothing.” She moved out of the door frame. “Come in a take a seat.”

Harry did as he was told, perching on one of the empty stiff back chairs across from McGonagall’s seat. McGonagall took her position, pulling open the tin of biscuits on her desk. Harry politely refused with a shake of the head.

“Alright then, Potter.” McGonagall watched him. Her gaze always seemed to draw words from his mouth. “Care to explain why you’re here?”

“I don’t know anything about sex.” Harry’s could feel his eyes become the size of saucers. He hadn’t meant to blurt it like that! Damn that McGonagall stare!

In her defense, McGonagall didn’t look away or even look surprised. She simply kept her attention on him. “And?”

Harry wanted his chair to become sentient and man-eating and swallow him whole. It was a better way to die than by the complete and utter embarrassment slowly destroying him. He couldn’t look at her, his eyes focused on the corner of the desk where an ink stain seemed permanent.

“Harry.” That made him look up. It wasn’t often she called him by his first name. Her face was kind as she held out the biscuit tin again. “Take one.”

He followed her order this time, taking the shortbread with no intention of placing it in his twisted stomach.

“I’m guessing Sirius never got to have this… talk with you, huh?” Her tone was soothing, and honestly, that freaked him out almost as much as the topic… almost.

He shook his head once.

“Alright then.” She seemed to square her shoulders. “Once we finish this discussion we never speak of it again. Got it?”

“Yes, Ma’am.”

Harry moved his lips across Ginny’s jaw down to her throat. He loved the way her body seemed to hum as his attention moved south. This was their hidden part of the Burrow, their hideaway in the months since everything had ended. A place where no war had ever touched. Sadness didn’t thicken the air. And best of all, no brothers around to glare daggers at Harry for touching their sister.

No; here he was free to kiss Ginny whenever he wanted and he wanted to now. His mouth glided across her semi-exposed collarbone and over to her shoulder. His hands, which had a mind of their own, had already reached up under her shirt and were steadily moving north. Apparently, being this close to Ginny brought out the cartographer in Harry.

Just as his hands were about to touch the underside of the cotton that covered her breasts, an unwelcome voice popped into his head.

When a woman is aroused -

Harry tore his lips away from Ginny’s skin.

“Harry?” Her voice was confused. “What’s wrong?”

“Shit!” Harry murmured as he backed his body away from hers as if she were hot flame, “Shit! Damn it!

“Harry?” Ginny sat up from her indented section of grass. “Tell me what’s wrong.”

“She’s in my head!”

“Okay…” Ginny tilted her head. ��What ‘she’ are you talking about? Because I should be the only she in your head when we’re snogging.”

Harry groaned, falling backward onto the ground. “Bloody McGonagall!”

There was silence. Harry covered his face with his hands. Then Ginny spoke in a tone full of suppressed mirth. “Well, I guess she’s hot in a stately way.”

That made Harry tear his hands from his face to look at her. The glee in her expression matched her earlier tone. “Ew, Gin! That’s not -” Ginny let out a snort. “Shut it. That’s not what I meant. She gave me the…”

“She gave you the?” Ginny’s brow quirked.

Maybe it would be easier to claim he had a thing for McGonagall’s glasses.

“The talk.”

“The talk? Like the talk?”

Harry wished he had the power to make a sinkhole appear, or maybe that the chair in McGonagall’s office had gotten a taste for humans. “Yeah. That talk.”

The silence returned. Harry didn't know how long they remained quiet. Finally, Ginny let out a giggle, then a another, and another, until she was full out laughing.

“Stop!” Harry groaned. “It was the worst moment of my life!”

“You've died twice.” Ginny reminded him.

He sat up. He looked her dead in the eye before saying, “Worst. Moment.”

Ginny let out a final cackle. She moved her body close to his, letting their breaths mix. “Maybe I can make it better.”

Summer is strange, perhaps it’s conditioning from school days, or maybe just the laziness that seems to settle over everyone when heat waves wriggle on the asphalt, but everything feels relaxed and comfortable. Well, except wearing anything denim and sitting on vinyl seats.

Harry’d fully bought in to the whole atmosphere, taking a week off work to stay at home with his wild little family in their cozy country home.

Albus and Lily were spending the day at the seaside with Bill and Fleur’s brood, and Harry had become one with the hammock in the yard.

All in all, Harry was the most relaxed he’s been in a while. Especially after the way Ginny wished him a restful sleep the night before, and then the way he woke her up that morning. God being married was even better than he could’ve imagined.

Not that it’s all shits and giggles. Something he was reminded of when James wandered into the yard with a dramatic sigh, the one that always preceded a headache of a conversation and often a subsequent firecall with McGonagall.

“Dare I ask, James?”

The eldest Potter son flopped down in the soft grass next to Harry’s lounging spot with another sigh. “When did you get the - the talk?”

Tension wriggled up and down Harry’s spine, but he forced his voice to remain calm. “We - do you have more questions? It’s not just the one talk and then we’re done. You can come to me whenever you have questions or ideas or - ”

Face scrunched, James flinched backward like he’d been slapped. “Yeah but, Dad, it’s so... Who gave you the talk?”

Ah, even my least emotionally aware child doesn’t want to blurt out that my parents are dead.

“You mean since my mum and dad were gone?”

James grunted. “I was trying to be less-- abrupt. Mum said, well she said if I wasn’t careful I was going to say the wrong shite to the wrong person and get punched.”

“And?”

“And that it’s good to be nice,” James parrots.

“Right,” Harry agreed, letting his leg dangle over the edge of the hammock to set it swinging, “So, anyway. Back to your original question... not that I can really answer it.”

James pushed up on his palms and blinked at Harry, biting at his lip. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

“I’m not allowed to say who gave me the talk.” Or more accurately, I swore to myself I wouldn’t. For my own sanity.

"Was it Sirius?"

Harry snorted, I wish. "Sure, we'll go with that. Not that anyone would believe the truth."

Wind rustled the trees, carrying the scent of mint from the flourishing bushes tucked on either side of the back door, and Harry took a deep breath as James grumbled, “Dad. Why do you have to make this so awkward?”

“Your life could be so much more awkward,” Harry grunted, “Count your blessings cupcake.”

And despite a somewhat rocky start, Harry did manage to dig James’ current romantic troubles out of him and provide some measure of clarity on the subject. Being a teenager is a minefield even without homicidal fascist maniacs trying to kill you. Harry, at least, comforted himself that his kids had it better, safety wise and in terms of trustworthy adults on hand.

But there comes a point where even the most loving parent has to let their little chicks spread their wings and fly, even if it’s just to Hogwarts. And that little flight means Harry can shield them from things only so long.

Which meant when James returned to Scotland in the fall, he was a year older, twice as sarcastic, and trying on adult humor for size. They’d been studying long term effects of transfiguration on the human body and he’d just delivered a highly witty (or immature, depending on whom you ask) one liner when a throat cleared behind him.

Since when do professors linger near the student’s tables during dinner? Dad would say it’s the height of stupidity to rely on assumptions based solely on usual activity. He also probably would have laughed because the joke was funny. Mum would probably say doing anything under McGonagall’s watchful eye was a gamble and the joke wasn’t quite enough to risk it.

But, spilled milk, glare ice, and such. He was now facing down not just a Professor, but Headmistress McGonagall and all that office entails, while she eyed him with an inscrutable expression.

Grinning nervously, James maintained eye contact - a tip from Uncle George - while his supposed mates inched toward the opposite end of the table. The loser speaks first - that’s from Uncle Percy - so James holds his tongue.

McGonagall quirked her brow as her lips tightened almost imperceptibly before she murmured, “I see your father has passed on my lesson.”

“I - what?”

The hours pass in a haze and around ten, James penned a vague letter and sent it off with his owl, Matilda, with explicit instructions to deliver it to his dad immediately. The common room had long since cleared, save a few seventh years waist deep in NEWTs prep, and James laid across the plush rug in front of the fireplace in a sort of malaise.

Until the flames flared green and his dad’s face looked up at him worriedly. “James? Are you alright?”

James rolled onto his side. “You didn’t go through McGonagall?”

“You said not to. I had to use the fireplace in my office at the Ministry to get in.”

“Sorry, Dad.”

Harry smiled. “S’alright. So long as you’re alright. Hopefully there weren’t any members of the press lingering around to get a shot of Harry Potter in his pants.”

“You didn’t put on trousers? It’s not that important,” James nearly shrieked, lowering his voice when he gets a few death glares from sleep deprived students.

That earned him a loud bark of a laugh from his dad and a rueful shake of the head. “James, your letter was almost unreadable and said, and I quote, ‘It is a matter of the utmost importance, please contact me by floo at your earliest convenience.’”

Shrugging, James ran a shaky hand through his hair. “What? Gran says young gentlemen should use good grammar and letter etiquette.”

“Yes, but your dad is an auror and knows his kids,” Harry put in, “And you never use complete sentences unless you’re terrified. And then the whole ‘avoid McGonagall thing’ - you know where my mind jumped.”

“Such a drama queen, Dad,” James teased, feeling the tension begin to leave his body at the familiar banter.

“Hm. It’s hereditary. Do with that what you will. And now, let’s get to the guts spilling part.”

“Well, at dinner tonight I was with my friends and McGonagall - ”

“How much trouble are we talking?”

James raised his hands defensively. “No trouble! Just. How did we get here?”

Harry frowned. “We? You mean - did you not get the talk we had?”

“I mean how in the world did you,” James winced and sent a glance over his shoulder before continuing in a whisper, “shag when McGonagall is the one who told you about it?”

Harry’s a really sympathetic parent, almost too much according to Ginny. When James flooded the dungeons with his latest ‘experiment’, Harry argued detention for being caught out after hours was enough. When Lily Luna’s accidental magic ended with a couple of nasty kids at her birthday party getting a free hair dye, Harry’d said her love for Teddy was admirable and it was good that she protected people she cared about, that she stuck up for bullies.

Ginny was mildly persuaded on the first, particularly since it seemed James’ foray into potioneering was for academic purposes. Lily’s was a harder sell, particularly when the Muggle Protection Squad had to show up and subtly alter remembrances of the afternoon.

Comparatively, Albus has been a pretty calm child, except for his tendency to want to touch and poke everything. Wet paint? Check. Neville’s semi-poisonous and highly experimental saber-toothed Snargaluff? In a second. But generally speaking, he’s less dramatic than the other two.

Which is why when Albus came home during Winter hols in sixth year and threw himself across the lounge seat in Harry’s home office, it was a bit of a red flag. “Dad. Sixth year is horrible.”

Harry glanced up from the folders, papers, and other garbage that littered his desk and laughed. “It’s not all that bad.”

“You don’t understand - ”

“That won’t work until seventh year,” Harry snickered, “And I’ll gladly pass all your final year struggles to Mum.”

“I mean, your seventh year was kinda shitty.”

“Sixth year was worse.”

Albus slumped lower on the couch and twisted his face toward Harry. “Isn’t that when you and Mum?”

“She was a bright spot in an otherwise awful three-hundred-and-sixty-five days,” Harry began gathering up a few of his pens, highlighters, and whatever other tools he’d managed to pile all over his desk in the last day and a half, “I appreciate your lack of mock hurling when I say shite like that.”

“I’m mature. Back to the main issue though, not all of us can have a world saving prophecies hanging over our heads at sixteen. S’not really fair to hold my teen angst to that standard.”

Harry fiddled with the sleeve of his jumper, “Al - that was far from the worst part of my sixth.”

“I feel like that’s a lie, but I’ll bite,” Albus said, “At least I’ll forget about my own mess of a life.”

A shout sounded from upstairs, followed by a thud and more shouting. Harry wondered if he’d need to pause this heart to heart when Ginny’s own voice joined the fray. God she’s amazing. They could really use a night off...or maybe a weekend. A long one. And he could visit that little shop in London with the lacy bits she likes…

Harry cleared his throat and refocused. “Mess? Are you seeing anyone? Is that what you’re having trouble with? I can - ”

Albus threw a cushion over his face and groaned. “Oh God, Dad! Can we not have the talk? We did whatever that was before my second year and I’ve picked up a few things since then so.

“Let’s hope you didn’t pick up anything - we really should have another discussion, there’s more to talk about.”

Punching the pillow over his face, Albus murmured, “I think I might actually die from embarrassment.”

“Trust me, this is a better option than...you know what, I’ll give you a way out.”

Albus sat up and let the cushion fall to the carpet, his hair a ruffled mess around his flushed face. Poor kid. Harry can only imagine what he looked like twenty or so years ago…

“You can hear it from me, or learn how I did.”

They had a staring contest of sorts, Albus considering his father and his options, probably also regretting the chain of events that set him up for the current state of affairs. But life happens and so, inevitably, do hormones. “I want more details before I decide.”

Harry smirked and rounded his desk, settling in the armchair across from Albus. “Well you know Remus was hardly around and Sirius had…”

James groaned as he crossed out another word in his pitiful excuse for a potions essay. Assigning them three feet on Veritaserum during the winter holidays was just cruel. Why should he be forced to think about saliva from a chimaera while his brother and sister were free to do whatever?

Crumpling his third attempt, James threw his head back so it thudded against the kitchen wall. He closed his eyes. He only had to complete this one assignment, then he would be free for the rest of the holidays. Next time, he wouldn’t complain about his homework in the car ride home. If his parents hadn’t known about the damn paper…

“You know chimaera’s have the head of a goat not a sheep, right?” James opened his eyes to look at his twelve year-old brother, Albus, reading his most recent attempt.

“Have you ever seen one up close?” James asked sardonically.

Albus shrugged one shoulder. “No, and clearly neither have you.”

James was ready to kick something. First off, he’d been working his arse off for over two hours on this assignment, and now Albus decided to come into his work zone and be a sarcastic little shit. He wasn’t in the mood for this. Yes, he was ready kick something and was definitely leaning toward it being Albus’ arse.

Before he could tell his brother as much, Lily rushed into the kitchen eyes wide with panic. “James!”

She barreled into him. Being ten, she was no light feather. James let out a small grunt. “What, Lily?”

“I think Mummy is hurt.”

That was enough for both brothers to spring into action. “What do you mean?” Albus asked as they heading in the direction Lily came from.

“I think I heard her scream!” Lily moved as quickly as her little legs would carry her. “She’s in her room.”

That made James’ pace stutter. He came to a stop on the first step to the upper floor. “Uh, Lily, do you know if Dad was with her?”

And now Albus paused. He gave his brother a wary look. “Oh… I hope not.”

Lily, however, didn’t know what her brothers silently agreed upon. “Yeah. I saw Daddy close the door earlier when I was reading the book about Hungarian Horntails Uncle Charlie gave me.”

“Ew!” Albus shuddered. James closed his eyes hoping the images of his parents doing -- that -- wouldn’t possess his brain.

But of course, it was at that moment he heard what could only be described as a happy moan come from the direction of his parents’ room.

“Oh! Do you think Mummy and Daddy are okay?” Lily asked, her fear almost palpable.

“If I had to place a bet,” James scrunched up his nose and grumbled to himself, “I’d place a thousand galleons on them being more than okay.”

Albus’ expression had taken on a look of pure, unadulterated horror. “We need to leave!”

“Do you think Uncle George would mind wiping my memory?”

“I know that’s how we got here, but…” Albus’ voice hung off as he visually had to shake off his demons.

“And I thought it was the stork,” James claimed sarcastically.

“Uncle Ron mentioned something about a pumpkin patch when I asked him,” Lily supplied helpfully, comforted by her brother’s lighthearted if odd banter.

“Yes, that works, Lily.”

“Gin.”

James flinched at the tone of his father’s voice. Nope! This wasn’t happening! “Come on!” He grabbed his siblings by their arms and led them to the fireplace. “We’re going to grandmum’s!”

Harry rolled onto his back, trying to catch his breath. “So did I fulfill your orders?”

Ginny let out a low laugh. “Every box was checked, and then some.”

“Good, I would have hated to - “ Harry paused as heard the sound of the floo firing up. “Who’s here?”

Ginny already had one leg in her jeans. “With our luck it will be Ron. His timing is still the worst.”

Once she threw a shirt over her head, Ginny headed down to the sitting room to greet their visitor. Harry followed his wife’s lead, but no one was there.

“What the…?” Harry looked to the sofa which had a de-crumpled piece of parchment resting on cushion. He picked it up and choked on his own salva. “Gin!”

She came back from the kitchen. “Yeah?”

“No one is here, but… uh…”

“But what, Harry?”

He couldn’t speak any more. He handed her the note. It only took her a few seconds to understand the message, then she started laughing.

Only one word was scrolled in their eldest son’s messy handwriting in big, bold letters. Silencio!

“I think the kids may have heard us, dear,” Ginny said through her laughter, “That’s what we get for trusting our kids to keep themselves busy for a quarter of an hour.”

“Where do you think they went?” Harry asked, “And it was at least three quarters of an hour, Gin.”

“Most likely Mum’s, they know they can get biscuits there.” Ginny set down the note and moved her finger to trace his jaw. “Care to join me back in our room?”

“How does James know that spell? It’s a sixth year lesson.”

Ginny changed tactics. She pressed her lips to his chin then to his lips. “We can talk about what our son is doing in his free time later.”

Harry lifted up his piece of toast absentmindedly, his attention on the Daily Prophet in front of him. Another quiet morning. Ever since Lily had left for Hogwarts, the Potter household was more often than not relatively calm. Sure, he and Ginny could throw some raging parties (typically consisting of only them, a bottle of cheap wine, and minimal clothing), but kids seemed to keep a house constantly alive.

“Anything interesting?” Ginny asked, taking a sip from her coffee mug.

“Not really.” Harry snorted at the front cover, as he folded the pages back to a convenient size. “Just Chip having another affair again.”

“Chip Greene? The one who -”

“Who would always flirt and try to get you to go home with him after you played against each other? Yeah.” Harry’s annoyance with the old Cannons player was still higher than a kite. “That Chip.”

“I don’t know why he ever thought I would want to become another notch on his bedpost.” Ginny mused as she cleaned up her breakfast plates. “I doubt he had any clue what he was doing.”

Harry grimaced. Now his mind fell back onto his talks with James and Albus. Merlin, those had been horrible… horrible… It was at that moment Harry’s mind started to connect dots. Ginny had forced Harry to have-- that-- talk with James just after he turned twelve. Same with Albus. Lily had just started her second year at Hogwarts. Her twelfth birthday had been right at the end of her first year… Twelfth birthday…

“Gin?” Harry tried to complete his breathing exercises. Percy’s wife had recommended them after a traumatic case. He needed to stop his mind from jumping off the plank into the shark-infested waters.

“Hmm?”

“Did you and Lily ever have the - ” Harry had to swallow the lump expanding in his throat. “The talk.” He lowered his tone at his final words.

Ginny snorted. “You mean the sex talk?”

Ugh! There were two words he didn’t want to be combined. His daughter and sex. He could only nod.

Damn, he wished he didn’t find that smirk on Ginny’s face so endearing.

“Not yet,” Ginny’s tone matched her amused expression. “I figured we could wait a little longer with Lily. I thought the best moment would be when she got her first period.”

And another word Harry had no desire to hear in relation to his daughter. He let out a breath. At least Lily wouldn’t be dealing with boys yet. It was then that a vivid and dreadful imagine appeared in his head.

His second year… Seamus chatting with Parvati Patil in hopes of getting her to kiss him… he had been twelve… just like Lily and her classmates.

“Ginny, we gotta floo up to Hogwarts.”

Ginny paused her motion of putting the now clean mug into the cupboard, and turned to face him “And why is that?”

“We need - I need -” Harry wasn’t quite sure how to explain that he needed to keep the entire male species away from his daughter without making Ginny roll her eyes. Instead of coming up with a calm, rational explanation he blurted, “I know how they think!”

“How ‘who’ thinks?” Ginny’s was using the tone she used with an upset child.

“Boys,” He spit the word out like venom. “Them and their wandering eyes… I’ll die a third time before any of them looks at my baby like that.”

Ginny’s body started to shake. Harry’s mind, at first, thought she was agreeing with him, that her fear of the heinous boys in Lily’s class made her shiver. This, however, was not the case. Harry’s beautiful, logical wife was shaking with suppressed laughter.

“This is why,” Ginny choked down a giggle, “George calls you a drama queen.”

Harry huffed out a breath. “I never considered that an accurate title.” His fingers started to tap against the table. “We need to get up there and stop any fraternizing.” A cruel thought popped into his head. “If McGonagall talked to them -”

Ginny couldn’t stop her laughter now. “Merlin, Harry! They’re twelve. The worst they’re gonna do is hold hands and maybe kiss once or twice.”

“That’s once or twice too much!”

“You know what, though?” Ginny looked thoughtful. “McGonagall did a good job teaching you. Maybe she should start a sex ed class.”

Harry’s ranting mind came to a sudden halt. “Aw, Ginny. Don’t say things like that!” Chills ran up his spine.

“Like what?” Ginny smirked at him as she took the empty chair beside him. “That McGonagall taught you well? It’s true.” Her expression could only be described as evil. “I guess I should be thanking her for my seventeenth birthday present, huh?”

With a thud, Harry’s forehead collided with the table. He turned his neck so he could make eye contact with his wife. “Ginny! You can’t talk to McGonagall about your seventeenth!”

Ginny clearly wasn’t listening to Harry’s order. “Do you ever wonder how she became so educated in the subject?”

“Ginny.” Harry could hear how whiny his own voice had become, but at that moment he didn’t care. “I’ve become a relatively well-adjusted person all things considered, so I need you to stop trying to hurt me.”

Again, his wife didn’t seem to care about his pleas. “You know what? I bet she was a real hit with the blokes. With that stern attitude and tight bun… then the moment they entered the bedroom and she became a freak in the sheets -”

Harry groaned as he sat up. “Merlin, is this my own version of Hell?”

Ginny leaned over and flicked his nose. “Don’t be such a baby!”

“Wipe my memory, Gin!”

“Seriously?”

“Never mind.” Harry reached across the table to a blank piece of parchment. “I’m Head Auror. I can order a memory removal.”

Ginny snatched the parchment away from him before he could grab a quill. “Harry, you’re almost forty-years-old. You can’t believe McGonagall is still a virgin.”

Harry took his now vacant hands and covered his ears. “Can’t hear you, Gin!”

“So you are a baby.” Ginny shook her head. Then, her eyes sparkled with a look Harry knew all too well. It was the warning sign to some serious cheek. “You know, I wonder if she has any new tips for us.”

“Stop right there!”

Ginny plucked the forgotten quill from Harry’s side and started to write. She read her words loudly, over-pronouncing as she wrote, “Dear Headmistress McGonagall.”

“Ginny I will divorce you,” Harry claimed weakly.

Ginny snorted. “Sure you will, babe.” But she put the quill down and turned back towards him. Her eyes blazed all to attractively. “You won’t be able to resist me after my tutoring sessions with McGonagall. I bet she’s even updated her curriculum, you should ask if her class had a lifelong guarantee.”

“Hey!” Harry protested. “I think I’m rather competent. I certainly didn't hear you complaining last night!”

Ginny gave him a coquettish grin. “Come on, you can’t tell me your not even slightly enticed by,” she confiscated his glasses off his nose, placing them on her own so the lenses made her bright, brown eyes wider than ever, “Professor Weasley.”

“First off, it’s Potter. And second, no.”

Ginny stood from her chair and took up residence in his lap, his hands automatically held her steady by the waist. She moved her mouth up his jaw and to his ear. Harry sucked in a breath as her teeth grazed his earlobe. “While you do exceed expectations, Mr Potter, I think you could benefit from some,” one of her hands threaded into his hair, “One on one lessons.”

Harry couldn’t prevent a moan from escaping his lips as Ginny ran her tongue back down his jawline. “Why - Why are you doing this?”

Ginny leaned back, so Harry could take in her full glory. “You know the glasses are hot.” Her gaze could have melted his insides to mush and her glasses-- his glasses-- Wait a moment.

“When did you transfigure my glasses to look like McGonagall’s?”

“Ah, I knew you’d remember these old things.”

“Ginny!” Harry moaned again, in a different manner this time.

Ginny placed her hand on his cheek, her lips twisted in a small smile. “It’s alright, Harry. I know she was your first love.”

“Please…”

“I mean,” Ginny shrugged, “Who didn’t have a naughty dream about her at least once or twice.”

“Why…”

“Harry, it’s really okay.” She patted his cheek. “I mean, I understand completely. If you could have only seen my dreams of Flitwick,” she made an exaggerated fanning motion her hands, “Hot damn!”

“Ginny, I -” It was then his brain started to comprehend what she had just said. “Wait. What? Flitwick? What the fuck?”

“That was the idea.”

“This is - Flitwick?”

“Don’t get me started on Sprout.”

“Ginny!”

“Merlin, when you got Sinistra out in the moonlight.” Ginny deliberately licked her lips. “Damn.”

“Just -” Harry’s mind had left, unable to keep up with Ginny’s words. “Just - not Snape, right? Please.”

Ginny shook her head, a look of disgust on her face. “Oh no! That snooty upturned nose was such a turn-off, and don’t get me started on his apparent aversion to personal hygiene.” She then smiled dreamily. “But Slughorn. Now there was a potions professor.”

“Well, now you’re just being mean.”

“There was no silly wand waving in that dungeon…” She gave him an appeased look. “They knew what they were doing. Do you think McGonagall taught them too?”

Harry let his forehead fall on her shoulder. “Do you want to never have sex again?”

Ginny let out a dramatic sigh. “Well, if you can’t give me what I need,” she sighed again, “I’ll have to go to the source. Do you think Minerva's free tonight?”

And that was Harry’s limit. “You know what.” He lifted his head, placed his arms underneath Ginny’s legs and lifted her into his arms and then up over his shoulder. “There will be no more of this cheek. We’re not leaving the bedroom until you can’t remember who McGonagall even is.”

Ginny laughed as Harry carried her up the stairs. “Oh big claims there, Potter. I look forward to your practical exam.”

Use Search Function and Key Words to skip portions and find what you’re looking for.

Interaction Generalizations.

Just be nice. The meaner and more impatient you are, the less inclined I am to interact. It’s how to push me far, far, FAR away from you; I’m anxious, tired, old af and just here to relax. Please don’t hesitate to DM or Inbox me, the WORST thing that could happen is I say no thank you right? Unless you’re being a dick and then the worst thing is I ignore and block. But I mean if you’re coming in prolapse first, I’m probably not going to give the time of day. So.... Be nice!

I cut my lengths, usually by approx 2-4 posts depending how short/long our responses are.

Responses/One Liners/ParaRP

Please don’t hesitate to write as much as you feel appropriate. If you write a para novella response, I will do my best to give back what I have been given, but please don’t treat it like a high school essay (Don’t double space, HEADERize everything and then add a lot of cushioning words, or repeat yourself unnecessarily. I want to be able to respond to you too!). If you seem disinterested, please don’t suffer through a thread, I am happy to finish a thread if you feel that it is done and spent or have no muse for it. We can start another or plot or even just leave it there until we have the muse for their interactions again.

I personally prefer Para, or longer, but sometimes my time constraints only allow for so much and I will understand for yours as well. Don’t feel bad if I slam you with a paratellenovella in a six part series and you only put out a few paragraphs; sometimes it’s a lot of establishing and internalizing for characters that I enjoy exploring too! Don’t feel that you have to match letter counts or length. You write what you want and if we don’t feel it then there is no hard feelings.

Starters.

If they’re tagged as an open thread, please feel free. If it’s open to mutuals only, please respect it. If you want to interact and you want something along that plot; Message me. You’ll be much better received this way than you will be if you insert yourself into threads not meant for you. Closed starters are strictly meant for those my partner(s) and I have tagged. If we bring some one else in, it is not an invitation to slide in like a Stop Light Bar.

Ask threads/Separated Open Starters

If it’s a thread that you are continuing with me, please don’t hesitate to start a separate thread with it! I’ll appreciate it, and believe me, so will you; no dealing with other threads that might stem from it, no dealing with the likes of acknowledgement from the rest of the rp community, and a much neater, easier to use posting format.

Are you posting an open starter? ahhh.... I might... have to message you. I’m quite anxious that people are overwhelmed with threads so I will likely message you regarding it first. If you are overwhelmed, tell me. I do not take offense. We can plot when you have time and if you feel it. I promise I’m not ignoring your starters; I’m just very anxious. If there is something that you would like to plot please just tag me randomly or DM me! I will do my best to reciprocate this as well! I just need time; I’m anxious and sometimes it counterbalances my meds and I’m more ‘FLEE’ than I am ‘BREATHE’.

TRIGGERS/WARNINGS/READ MORES

Triggers; I have none. I really dislike slamming a random thing into an established thread, but I’m not against it in most aspects. What do I mean by this? Please don’t have a cute thread going with me and then BAM CHAR A IS NOW RAGING ANGRY THAT CHAR B IS DOING THIS THING WE NEVER ESTABLISHED HAPPEN. Now if Char A is angry because Char B said something offensive (meant or not) and Char A lands a punch on B; then, Yes. I do not mind this. If you leave an action open, I will use my discretion whether or not it lands (Keep in mind I do love seeing how androids in distress will behave on any/given terms). If I leave an action open to your discretion of being hit or dodging, please do not JUST dodge it every time. I’m trying to give you the option of progressing a fight, not feed you pudding through a straw. As far as violence, gore, etc; I do not mind it. If it gets too gory, we will use RMs or fade it. If it’s too kinky then I will tag and possibly read more it. It all depends on it’s severity and the warning.

Warnings for me are often forgotten; it’s not out of disrespect but because I DO forget. I have lots of things I need to study and RP wise, recalling a hundred and eighty four details is not exactly a priority. It’s not that you’re not important as a partner; it’s that I can fix it if you bring it up with me and we’re adults. I will do my best but please, understand, sometimes I need reminding.

Read mores I forget more often than not, if I use them at all. xkit has a blacklist function. Please use it as it’s more reliable than I am if sex/etc offends you (though if it does I’m not sure what is compelling you this far into my blog). If my partner uses/requests them, I can often remember since they will likely be using them as well, but if I’m using them for a sole reason of this trigger then I’ll likely forget.

Late replies/Slow Replies/Ignored Replies

As a general rule I will do my best to respond to threads as often as my time constraints give me, but that also relies on how me or Connor responds to the thread/the topic/muse. Late replies will likely happen as I’m quite slow at times. If I respond to thread A three or four more times before I respond to thread B, it’s just because I feel thread A more. It doesn’t mean that I dislike our thread, it’s just based on what Connor is willing to do as a muse at that moment. If it feels like I’m ignoring your reply; has it been a few days? You can prod me if I’m responding regularly and come off like I’ve gotten through most of my threads, but if it’s been a week or two please prod me. I might not have seen it, or have forgotten about it. Do not, however, ask me why I respond to Thread C more than that thread, guilt me, try to manipulate me or get short with me. I’m here to have fun, not as a compulsive demand. I am a human just like you and sometimes life just happens to overwhelm me more often than you or the next person. Thank you for understanding, though!

Magic Anons/Topic Suggestions/Anon

MA will be accepted most days, but please give me a time frame for it or I will assume it as three days MY time, or if it is something that I don’t see taking a significant amount of time X amount of hours that I’ll choose myself. IE MA!Connors a real boy. No time? I’ll select for you. Connor as a real boy would be lovely, so I would likely suggest three days. MA!Connor is stuck in his suit for a week! A week? That’s insanely long, I will take liberty and shorten the time to a few days, or I’ll just override it/ignore it. Topic suggestions are adorable and sometimes quite interactive and fun! You get content you like, I get a topic to try with my partner(s) and every one wins! Maybe a few people don’t but that, again, is what xkit is for. Anons will be interacted with as Civilians or generic Androids. Regularly visiting Anons will be named and respectively tagged to the best of my ability. Any anon hate, call out anons, gate keeper anons, fussing anons will be just ignored. No skin off my back, none off of Connors, and even less off of the rest of my follower base. If Anons are inboxing for critique or an opinion asked for- then I’m happy to respond or even read them, I may post them, I might not. It is all up to me. It’s my blog, my Connor and if you dislike him, why is you here? It’s not meant to sound rude, but there are many of us out there, find some one that makes you happy.

Strictly for Mutuals or for those I would like to interact more with! If I’m actively giving it to you- I’m excited, please feel free to take it or don’t. If You want it, ask, but understand that I might decline or I may accept it. Please don’t pressure me. I would never pressure you.

Hello! It’s a hit or miss with me! I prefer fleshed out characters with their own sets of flaws, ups, downs, perfections and quirks. Things that will quickly turn me off of a character, please respect that this is only personal preferences, are inserts, selfserts, Sues, confusing characters, drama/tragic types (IE whole family dead. Became a ninja, almost died of abuse, saved by a four legged fox with 72 tails that died shortly after training. Turns out they were kami status legend and this char is taking their place but no one believes in them so they are dying and doki doki club literature inspired their life). Fun parody characters are well received too! Hi there Sumo Rpers, Super minor cameo androids and/or Officer Wilson (Sweet Cop saved on the rooftop in Mission one)

Shipping

I do not do autoships unless we discuss it. I refuse to continue a thread in which some one is forcing a relationship or has inserted themselves into Connors life. He does not have children, he doesn’t have ‘file’ children (Like the child Cortana makes in Halo), Connor doesn’t have adopted children he doesn’t know about. If you want to autoship please talk to me. If you want it enough you’ll prod me! Think of it this way; we can scream about it together and yell about it as long as we want and then we totally get to do it if we’re both in agreement!

I have no real preference to who/what Connor does. Likely if they exist in the game I’m down to ship them (this includes Rk900s, Gavins, Hanks, etc). I’m purely curious to see what this muse clicks with. I have every right to say no as much as you do. Keep in mind that unless we establish it I play him with his genitalia but he will not be a Traci type. He is and always will be RK800 model.

If you would like to write the raunchy; yes. If you’d like to fade to black; yes. Do you want them to be suggestive? Sure. Kinks? Name it- I’ll try it. I refuse scat and vomit. Like. Hard nopes. Both make my skin crawl and I just get squeamish in those regards. You do you, but I would appreciate not those two please and thank you; much appreciated.

In order to make my rules more accessible to mobile users, I’m posting them here-

Please follow these rules or risk being unfollowed, soft blocked, or blocked;

While I am primarily a para/multi-para role-player(with a dab of novella mixed in), I have also done some semi-para and one-liner role-play. It typically depends on what I’m giving. That said, if I get too little, I will ask for more because I need some form of content in order to reply. If I send you a reply or starter and it’s too long for you (I’ve never run into this problem, but I have friends who have), please do not ask me to shorten it for you. I likely won’t be able to.

You don’t have to tell me you’re dropping a thread. You don’t have to keep up with a constant Ask Box oriented role-play. I don’t need constant interaction with you to keep following you. That said, I will likely drop threads and whatnot. It’s not for any particular reason. I only have so much time and so much energy. This isn’t a rule so much as a fore warning; If dropped threads bothers you, then perhaps starting them with me isn’t the grandest of ideas.

While I, myself, will have triggering content on my blog, I do attempt to tag EVERYTHING. I will be posting a tags list on my blog with a list of tags I use for triggers, but if you need a very specific tag used, please do not hesitate to message me. Triggers and appropriate tags are extremely important for me as I want my blog to be safe for everyone who follows me.

Shipping with Kaiba will probably actually be very difficult, if shipping is your intent. Please do not auto-ship without express permission. I prefer slow builds and relationship development. As well, if you don’t play your character in a way that I can see us shipping, please do not be upset. I adore all forms of role-playing; Friends, enemies, frienemies, etc. Please give me more than just mindless ship fodder. Plus, I will not change how Kaiba acts or responds just for the sake of friendship or any form of ship. I play him a certain way and I like how I play him.

I take a while to reply sometimes. I have a soul sucking job (I have literally watched so many people crack and fold here, man, it’s not okay.) and I have a lot of personal stuff that can make me too exhausted to reply immediately. Please do not pressure me for replies. As well, there are very close friends I role-play with here and they typically take priority. And remember, the more threads I have going, the slower I’ll be. Simply put, I very much appreciate your patience, but if you can not be patient, then perhaps I am not a suitable role-play partner.

I use icons for some of my blogs! You do not need to. Obviously. If you want to use my icons, feel free to. I don’t mind. They took me two seconds to make and are just cropped doujin images with a blue filter. That being said, I do NOT condone stealing other rper’s icons. A lot of people worked really hard on theirs and are really proud. It’s awesome that you think they look cool, but please don’t steal other people’s icons. Also, if you use fancy text for your role-plays or fancy tags, that’s awesome. I typically do not. If that bothers you for some reason, simply leave.

I don’t like elitism. We’re here for fun. So instead of mocking new people or calling them trash for not having fancy layouts or whatever, how about instead offer to help? Someone’s layout being a more mobile oriented one doesn’t mean they’re a bad role-player. You’re no better than the rest of us. We’re all just nerds writing about OTHER nerds. Like, how is elitism even an issue in this fandom, I don’t even– Just don’t do it. I likely won’t interact with you if you are.

While I originally was not very particular in how I role-played here on Tumblr, I’ve found some peeves that I have. If I answer an in character ask and you can’t make a new post, just tell me. You can reblog the ask and then I’ll make the new post, but please do not continue the role-play in thread comments, because I will absolutely lose your reply. Do not reblog an ask without telling me first. I don’t mind doing the grunt work to make the new post, though. So just- Communicate. I also do not role-play in private messages. If you want to role-play privately, I use Discord for that. If you do not use Discord, then you’re just out of luck.

If you are not involved in the role-play do not reblog or comment on it. At all. Like it, read it, move on. Maybe message me or send an Ask about it, but that’s it. I appreciate you enjoying my work, though.

Unless you are a very close friend of mine, don’t come to me with your drama. While I’m known to be pretty outspoken on my views here, I don’t just get involved in everyone’s stuff, even if I’d agree with you and take your side. I’m too tired for it. That said, people need to stop creating drama in the first place.

I won’t give you any “warning” if you break my rules to the point of me blocking people. If I block you, just leave it alone. If I even hear a whisper about “Someone please ask @radiant-blue-eyes why they blocked me”, I will go out of my way to never address any utterance of your existence. If I block you, deal with it. It’s simple. I don’t know why everyone has an issue with that. I’m sure plenty of people have me blocked, and I don’t even remember their names.

I try not to be selective. I like being open to most people. So if I don’t follow you back right away, it’s probably because I just haven’t gotten around to it. Please be patient with me.

Any nsfw role-play replies will be put under a Read More, so I will only do those replies on my computer. They may take a bit longer. This include smut, gore, and extreme triggers. While my role-play partners don’t need to do this, I will do it always.

This concludes my rules page. I understand that they’re much longer and more in-detailed than my old rules page, but after a few years, I think they were due for an upgrade.

•I am looking for a roleplay that will have smut in it (romance optional ;^)), smut is an absolute must! But that doesn’t mean it will be all there is to it! Plot is my biggest kink. I don’t want our characters to lock eyes and just go and have sex. I want to build up to it, and then incorporate it when it fits, not just because you don’t know what else to do, or because you want smut this and smut that. Further details such as kinks, likes, dislikes, limits, etc. etc. can be discussed with you privately if you message me.

•Doubling/Tripling isn’t something I’m experienced with at all, but I’ve tried doing it a few times and it just isn’t something I like doing. Too much going on at once. I will of course, always play a plethora of side characters when they’re needed to keep it interesting, and ask you do the same as well. I’m also very okay with managing more than one roleplay with you at one time. If there is more than one idea you need to do, let’s do them. ;^)

•I will never respond to you if you just message “Hi” or “Hi, want to rp?” If anything, that will only get you blocked. Please tell me about how you roleplay, genres you like, what kind of pairing you’re looking for, a plot you’ve been itching to try, anything! Please just /something/ that will catch my attention and make me want to reply to you! This shows me right off the bat that I can easily brainstorm with you and doesn’t make me think you’re illiterate and not what /I’m/ looking for.

• Do NOT spam me! This means if I don’t reply within ten minutes, don’t just send me question mark after question mark, or constantly ask where I’m at or if I’m okay. I understand you care, but it gets annoying when your phone vibrates nonstop (: Especially when you’re busy or there are nosy family members nearby! If I plan to be gone for more than a few hours, I’ll always let you know, and I ask you do the same or I’ll assume you’ve lost interest and no longer want to continue. But of course, sometimes I mess up, so if it’s been a while, drop me a message and remind me that you exist. I space on things sometimes. We all do.

•Being that I don’t exactly have a life at the moment, I’m available pretty much 24/7 (but understand I do have family and sometimes spend time with them, but like I mentioned above I’ll tell you when I plan to be gone for a while) and my sleep schedule is all over the place. I’m either awake or I’m not!

•My replies are usually rapid fire. Depending on what I’m doing that day (if anything), or if something comes up. I always reply at least three times a day (unless I specify otherwise), and love going back and forth if I’m really into the story. So if rapid fire replies aren’t your thing, please don’t message me. I get hesitant when I see someone with possibly great compatibility, but can only expect a reply say once a day.

•I write in third person past tense, and that is what I am most comfortable with. I /might/ be persuaded to write in first person if that’s what you really want. That being said, I am perfectly okay with whatever format you want to use, but please I beg you, just do not write in script! It’s just hard to get into it if I see asterisks (*) everywhere and a lack of quotation marks (“).

•I do NOT tolerate one liners. At the very least, I expect at least three paragraphs (roughly 12 sentences) for each response. Don’t get me wrong, I value quality over quantity, but if you send me something I can’t even respond to, I’ll ask you to fix it, and if it doesn’t improve, then I’m not the partner for you. I am okay with a little less than that occasionally though, since I understand we all get writer’s block from time to time, just don’t make that a constant thing. That being said, I don’t have a limit to how LONG a response is. If you want to send me a novel for every reply, I welcome it with open arms. My own writing mirrors that of my partners, usually unless I’m writing a big point that requires more detail. You send me long responses, and I’ll do the same.

•I’ve been roleplaying for about 5 to 6 years now I believe (not like I’m counting or anything, haha), and writing has always been a very strong area of mine, and English is my first and only language. I’m okay with English not being your first language, so long as I am able to understand the point you’re trying to get across. If not, I can always ask.

•Before starting a roleplay, I like to do short character bios, which consist of very basic information. I mostly include just a name, height, age, and a face claim. (However this isn’t set in stone. I can include whatever information is necessary, and exclude what is not. I try to keep it very limited so that there’s more detail for the roleplay itself, but I like a general idea before going into it for the sake of that detail, such as starters, if one character is for example running their fingers through your character’s hair, knowing the color of it beforehand is helpful!) For face claims, I normally use references that are art styled or anime-ISH (nothing cringy I promise), and DO NOT like using real life ones. Roleplays for me are an escape from reality, so I honestly hate real life face claims. These are *optional* though, so if it works better for you, you don’t have to provide one, and you can ask me not to as well if you don’t like or want my style of face claims.

•I am very open-minded, and I am always up for trying something new. I don’t have any restrictions on plot, and I don’t care how wacky or strange it is, if you want to try something, bring it up (in all honesty the more original an idea the more I’ll most likely love it)! Don’t be shy! I’ll always let you know if there is something I don’t like. That being said, my only, absolute limits, things I /won’t/ do smut wise is anything involving poop, pee, vomit or really just anything gross like that. If you’re unsure you can always ask!

•I want a partner who can put in as much effort to keep the roleplay going as I can. I love it when a partner maybe suggests an idea for the roleplay, or asks if there’s something to be added to progress it further. I’m a very spontaneous person who enjoys discussing plot progression, so chances are I’ll be doing a lot of that myself. Along with that, I’m very okay with making new friends through OOC chat! But like I mentioned before hand, please keep it anonymous until I’ve made it clear I’m very comfortable with you and would be willing to tell you more personal info.

•What I hate most is a few things. For starters, NEVER control my characters. They are my characters for a reason and I’ll never do that to yours. Do not control how my characters think, feel or respond. If there is a certain way you’d like me to respond, simply bring it up with me outside of the roleplay. Secondly, please don’t try to roleplay with me using pathetic and overly submissive characters. Come on, people have wills of their own. Your characters should too. And lastly, do not "God mod.” Everyone has weaknesses, and so do all strong characters. If you make your character an epitome of perfection I will call you out on it.

•As far as pairings go, I enjoy MxM and MxF (with this I heavily prefer to play the male)! With smut, I am very experienced and happy to play either a dominant or a submissive role and a top, bottom or switch position, but absolutely do not tell me that you can “only bottom/top because you suck at topping/bottoming”. This tells me you’re not a very flexible person and therefore are not my ideal partner. It’s much different if you tell me you just really want to play a certain position because you’re most comfortable with it and we can either talk more about it, or I can respect it depending on the person.

•I only roleplay through Kik, NO EXCEPTIONS! Do not ask me to roleplay via any other platform, or you will be immediately ignored (and blocked if you continue to persist).

How do you run your blog?

Speed: It really depends. Usually I’ll get to a thread within a week or two at the longest. Given that have several partners that I talk to and plot with daily/weekly, we generate a lot of new ideas frequently and when something takes awhile, it usually got buried by under a crust of new threads and occasional meme prompt ask. My drafts box is like an archeological site, I swear. Sometimes I do have trouble with inspiration for a reply, but usually it’s just a matter of getting wrapped up with my little circle of friends and co-writers.

A side note, during my working week, my productivity slows to a crawl. I’m usually better off in Skype or tumblr IM and may get to a thread or two either before or after work if I’m just not in lurk/shit post mode until I pass out.

Replies: Aesthetically I use extremely light formatting. The first word always bolded and italicized and default size with all other text smaller. I also bold the quotation marks in dialogue because it looks hella cool on my blog proper given that I have bolded/italicized text is a different colour than the rest of the text. It also looks classy af on the dash. Icons for either FC depending on verse or comic caps are used until it gets to nsfw stuff or with some drabble prompts. As for preferences, I’m really quite flexible. Honestly, tho, I’m a multi-para whore and with most threads, eventually they start to get longer and longer. However, unless I can’t parse my muse’s thoughts on a matter or situation, I won’t go in hard and fast on a one-liner or small single para. Unless you’re one of my people, but then again, you prolly already have experience being slapped with my throbbing multi-para hard-on.

I don’t expect people to match me, and sometimes I may struggle to match length, as well, but I do like to see an attempt. Like if I give you a four para starter, I would prefer not to get a two sentence reply back (some of you are shaking your head, but this actually happened to me in my halcyon days in the community).

Starters: I don’t do greeters, because idk, for me it feels like when a teacher called on you because you weren’t paying attention. Nearly every time I’ve gotten a greeter, I’m unprepared and feel quite suddenly pressed. The RPC is already a ball of anxiety 85% of the time and I don’t want to add to anyone’s discomfort, providing I’m not the only crazy person who reacts to getting a greeter like a distant gunshot. Depending on how clogged my drafts box is and how busy I am, I probably post a starter call every couple weeks and open starters very rarely because like, idk, no one ever hops on them, so I don’t really feel like they’re welcome. In the case of the latter, I only ask that people read the tags. Some open starters are meant for mutuals, particularly ones with some established interaction.

Unless they’re plotted starters (or replies to longer ask box meme responses that I wanted to turn into a thread), they usually start short and often vague. Please don’t keep it vague. It drives me nuts. I want you to present an idea, go out on a limb, whatever (I mean within reason of course, use your common sense, too).

Inbox: It’s a mess, tbqh. A lot of times I mindlessly reblog or queue memes, especially at work or when I’m out and about on mobile, and then don’t feel like doing them or get excited over certain prompts over others. I will say that I keep things in my inbox for a very long time and might get to replying to prompt weeks to months later. Frequently I will draft ones that I know will be long.

Selectivity: Hoooo boy. I’m pretty fucking selective tbh. I like my partners to be literate and of course be able to enjoy their portrayal/character. That’s not to say I’m not open to meeting new people and interacting with new muses. I don’t need to know your muse extensively to RP with you, but I’m also perfectly willing to educate myself (I’m not going to front, I was compelled to watch both Daredevil and Preacher for the sake of character/canon research, as well as starting to read Lucifer). Also, I mostly RP with mutuals, but again, that doesn’t mean I’m not willing to discover new mutuals, you feel me?

Sometimes when my stress levels are high or I’m drowning in drafts, I tend to be a bit more standoffish and stick to “my people”, however this doesn’t last for long and may be broken by a compelling enough new interaction.

Wishlist item: *pounds table aggressively* CONSTANTINE FAM! AND I SUPPOSE THIS IS REALLY SELFISH BUT I WANT A CHERYL OR GEMMA RP BLOG IN MY LIFE. AND IDEK MAYBE HAVING A CHERYL BLOG WOULD BE BORING AS SHIT, BUT A GEMMA??? SURELY TO FUCK SOMETHING FASCINATING COULD BE DONE WITH HER. Also: CHAS! ELLIE! HELL BLAZER CANON CHARACTERS PLS.

ahem.

Anyway, idk, I really don’t have a wishlist? I mean, there are certain themes I’m keen to explore. Like my mythological bent to John, and developing certain verses, but like...all things considered I’m just more interested in world and relationship building than ticking off a wishlist of AUs or situations I want to see played out.

Honest note: I’m fiercely independent, and I don’t put up with bullshit. Honestly, I don’t have much tolerance for drama and the easiest way to push me away is pull me into a vortex of social or interpersonal drama. Been there, done that, and honestly I can be a bit skittish if I start getting a weird vibe. I’m coming up on five years RPing on tumblr and there’s not a lot that shocks me anymore.

A few more admissions:

-- I love writing ships. When I wrote fanfic, it was 95% shippy stuff. That doesn’t mean it’s all about romance, fluff, and sex, sometimes it’s just how two muses relate to each other or a glimpse into their lives together, but I know my strengths and tend to default to them. This doesn’t mean I’m out to collect lovers for John or am not willing to step out my comfort zone, just that there’s going to be a lot of that stuff here.

-- If we talk ooc, there’s a 100% more possibility that you’re going to get more attention from me both ic and ooc. It’s just a matter of comfort level. Though I might seem together and confident, it’s only really in regard to my writing. I’m intimidated by people who are so much better at being witty and fun and silly on tumblr and chatty about their characters and fandom outside of the constraint of meme prompts or whatever. I guess I’m just afraid of boring people or having followers roll their eyes like “omg Iggy stfu. Don’t you have twenty-odd replies? Chop, chop you anal retentive bitch.” Mind, no one’s actually said this to me, I just have dodgy self-esteem, honestly, and some days are worse than others.

-- If I tell you I think you’re a good writer, I mean it. This is important.

-- If I tell you I’m worried about the quality of a reply I gave you, I’m not fishing for compliments, I’m legitimately uncertain that you’ll like it. Just fyi.

-- I’m bad at writing m/f ships in any expedient manner. I have no good excuse for this other than being queer trash that would rather write about men being in love and lust. And uh, that’s not a good excuse at all. I’m just the literal worst and I’m sorry I come off as not inclusive enough. Honestly, I’m trying to be better about this deep failing of mine.

Who the heck is my muse anyway:

A modern day Music Producer/ DJ that is also a reincarnation of an Einjerhar from Norse lore – something she doesn’t even remember. The actual soul of the warrior is asleep inside her however, and somewhat has a tendency to awaken at times, causing Jackie to have an influx of abilities that she generally can’t control. Also an ex-assassin, courtesy of a relationship with her ex-boyfriend – but she tries to pretend that part never happened.

Points of interest:

Has a somewhat reckless personality and is always on the hunt for adventures and treasure. Isn’t adverse to breaking and entering private property in search of a windy rooftop or just because, will probably punch you really damn hard if you piss her off enough (and it’ll hurt – trust me) and is very skilled in archery. Despite her at times rather violent tendencies (a result of the bloodlust settled in her by the Einjerhar), she’s actually rather kind, affectionate, friendly, loyal, has a hint of sass about her and a sense of rebellion. Also, she’s generally always pretty happy – or at least she’ll make you think she is – but she’s also really damn emotional and sad too and will push you away once you get too close to her because she gets scared. Draws attention mostly because of her galaxy hair, and it’s notoriously hard to get her attention romantic wise tbh.

Where to find them:

She’s a night owl. You’ll find her at the tallest point in town – whether it’s a skyscraper or a mountain, or even just her rooftop. The windier, the better. You can also find her hanging out in Ginza at a hidden gem of a sushi bar, or at various clubs around the city. Her playground is the entirety of Shibuya. If there’s a music festival in town, you’ll likely find her there too.

Desired interactions:

Everything really !! It just really depends on how they mesh. Friendship is evidently the most prominent with how hard it is to get her attention romance wise, but I certainly would love if people wanted to explore something like that too. It’s not so much that I don’t want to give her more romantic ships – but more that it’s really very hard for most men to capture her attention in that way so she doesn’t really look for it except for with the men she’s already with. She’s had some purely sexual relationships at times as well, though those are generally one night stands for her.

I really want her to have a best friend kind of thing going on though. Some muses are well on their way to cracking her open in that way – breaking down her walls and getting her to let down her guard enough to show vulnerability. But that in itself is also a challenge because she tends to push people away if she even gets a smidgen of doubt in her head. A female best friend would be really cool for her, because most of her female companions are my own NPC’s so she doesn’t really have that connection just yet. I’d love for her to have relationships with people she’d work with too – either at clubs or assassin work, maybe something where she’s blackmailed into doing that again. In general though ?? Just people that take care of her, even when she’s difficult to deal with. People that aren’t afraid to call her out on her shit. Because I promise, once you get past that and knock some sense into her – you’ll have a permanent place in her heart and she’ll sacrifice everything to make sure you remain safe.

I would love to make use of my royalty verse too. I have one starter I have to write up for that, but the more the merrier! Arranged marriages or relationships among royalty would be so much to do!

Offered interactions:

Club interactions ?? Get into trouble and do something stupid interactions ?? Meet her in a jail cell and watch her try to bargain with the guards to let her out ?? There’s also meeting her in Ginza or Shibuya, or breaking into the same rooftop as her, or meeting her after she gets hunted down by her past enemies – or just random meetings out on the street or in the grocery store, where you will find her lugging around rice balls, ramen cups and the like – because the girl always runs the risk of burning down her kitchen.

My timezone is UTC+08:00 because I live in the Philippines, which basically means I’m awake for a majority of the UK’s daytime and late evening, and a majority of America’s evening and early morning. I’m also basically just two hours behind Australian time. I don’t really do short threads, though I’m not adverse to 1 – 2 paragraphs – but try not to expect one liners from me because it’s hard for me to control the length tbh.

I love doing asks and drafts, even if I seem to take a while writing them. I understand that not everyone is good at English, or people are like me- from a non-English country, but if you send me a, “Dat 4 u, dood” I will ignore this. Typos and bad grammer are one thing, but IC chat speak is another (idk about OOC - I do abbreviations and the likes myself too in there, but let’s keep the posts clean) ❣ If I cross any lines you have, or if you’re stuck on a reply, or if you just plain out don’t want to deal with me anymore (or maybe if you want to get to know me better?) then just talk to me and we’ll sort whatever problem arose out~ ❣ Reblog karma - I don’t really want to be bombarded with notifications of reblogs without actually getting interactions. I know that not every meme can be used for our characters, but if you’re just here for the memes and not for interactions, you are really in the wrong place, tbh. (personally I try to send out at least 1 ask for every 5 memes I reblog from someone. If I can’t, I just reblog from the source) ❣ If I follow you, I have read your rules. I will not send in passwords or whichever, the rules and muse pages are always read before I follow you if I can actually get to them. || FOLLOWING ||

❣ You don’t need to be a mutual to interact with me. I interact with non-mutuals as well. ❣ If I don’t follow you, or unfollow you, it can be for various reasons. One of the biggest reasons tend to be that people don’t cut their posts. I often check for replies on my phone, so you can probably see why long threads would be a problem. ❣ Another reason why I unfollow people is due to a lack of interaction. If I follow you (back), that means that I want to interact with you. As a result, I will generally react to things like starter calls and the likes (though, if you don’t follow me back and don’t wish to interact, you’re not obligated to send me something). If there has been no chance to like a starter call, or if there has been no activity towards my own startercall/memes/etc, I will take this as a sign that you do not wish to interact, and will unfollow you to keep my dash clean.

|| POSTING ||

❣ Whether you write a one liner or paragraphs is all the same to me. Whichever you write, I’ll try to mirror~ … Unless you write a chapter each post, then I very likely won’t to avoid needlessly adding filler to my posts just to make their length match. ❣ On the other hand, if I give you several paragraphs and you give me a sentence or something, I will assume you lack interest in the thread, and drop it. ❣ Don’t rush me for replies - gentle reminders are okay though - I’ll admit I’m a goldfish, and my dash is messy af so sometimes posts escape me. But wait at least 24 hours before sending me a reminder. ❣ If you want to throw me a starter or an ask, or whatever, just go ahead and send them at me~ I’ll reply to pretty much anything ^^ Just make sure to tag me in post if you throw me a regular starter. ❣ Does something in my posts trigger you? Please let me know, and I’ll take the utmost caution to avoid it in our threads, and to tag it if it shows up in other threads. I want you to have a good time, and I want you to be able to enjoy yourself freely, without risk of triggers. ❣ Please mention the meme when you send in an ask. I reblog a lot of memes that use the same icons, so it’ll get hard to keep them apart if you don’t. Otherwise I might end up responding with the wrong meme, or I might not know what meme to respond to at all and forgo responding all together. ❣ You are allowed to turn any ask of yours I answer, into a thread. Just as how you are allowed to simply leave it as is.

|| SHIPPING ||

❣ Obviously shipping is okay, since I’m a Shipwhore multi ship roleplayer. However, force ships are a no-go; chemistry ships only. Doesn’t make me any less of a ship whore though. ❣ Most of my characters are multi-ship, but some of my characters have the option to become single ship, depending on how much I like a ship - and if there aren’t any relationships for that character yet. ❣ Since I encounter a lot of people, it’s possible that my character is shipped with the canon character you play as well. This does not mean that our characters will automatically be shipped as well. Different muns means different verses, and things can end up completely differently, depending on how our threads go. ❣ Not every RP has to include romantic shipping. Characters can also just get along as friends, or hate each other’s guts. Anything is possible.

|| CHARACTERS ||

❣ Mun and muses are completely different! Like, REALLY different xD;; So please don’t assume that because my character thinks something, I think the same. ❣ Most of the ages of my characters are based on the setting they were created for. However, I can up/lower ages whenever needed if a plot requires it. Just let me know if you’d like this :3 ❣ Most of my characters only have anime / art pictures. Only Eiri has a RL faceclaim. If you have RL faceclaims, Eiri is the only one I’ll use against you.

|| CHARACTERS I’D RATHER NOT RP AGAINST ||

Please note that I am in no way or shape calling you a bad roleplayer for roleplaying one of the characters on this little list. It is just my personal preference to avoid these characters, mostly due to certain reasons. ❣ Vampire Knight: Human!Kaname - I’m sorry, but I really hate the VK ending, and I especially hate this part of it since I feel like Hino completely ruined him with doing this (besides, isn’t all he does now wander around doing nothing because Yuuki decided it was a good idea to combust in front of her kids so this could happen??? Damn, Hino—). Unless it’s agreed on for a plot (say, for the Hirai verse plot), I prefer to simply keep ignoring the ending OTL. ❣ Vampire Knight: Ai Kuran - I’m sorry, I have an exclusive Ai Kuran who I love dearly! ( reginae-noctis ) ❣ Child!Only blogs: If you are a blog dedicated to a child muse, then I’m sorry, but I’d rather not roleplay with you. I find it incredibly awkward to play against child!characters if they are in no way or shape related to my character. ❣ Furries: I’m sorry, but I do not like them, especially after certain roleplays I’ve had in the past. Characters with animal ears/tails will be considered for threads, but if there is full on fur then I’m afraid I won’t consider it. ❣ Kingdom Hearts blogs: I’m sorry, because of some things I really don’t like KH?? O-Q

•I can’t stress this enough. Read. The entire. Ad. Before. You contact me. I am very tired of having to repeat information already in this ad.

•I will never respond to you if you just message “Hi, want to rp?” If anything, that will only get you blocked. Please introduce yourself as a roleplayer, tell me what you want, give me a plot you’ve been itching to try, please just /something/ that will catch my attention and make me want to reply to you!

•I do NOT tolerate one liners. At the very least, I expect a paragraph (4 sentences) for each response. Don’t get me wrong, I value quality over quantity, but if you send me something I can’t even respond to, I’ll ask you to fix it, and if it doesn’t improve, then I’m not the partner for you. That being said, I don’t have a limit to how LONG a response is. If you want to send me a novel for every reply, I welcome it with open arms. My own writing mirrors that of my partners, usually unless I’m writing a big point that requires more detail. You send me long responses, and I’ll do the same.

•I’ve been roleplaying for about 5 years now I believe (not like I’m counting or anything, haha), and writing has always been a very strong area of mine, and English is my first and only language.

•Before starting a roleplay, I like to do short character bios, which consist of very basic information. I mostly include just a name, height, age, and a face claim. (However this isn’t set in stone. I can include whatever information is necessary, and exclude what is not. I try to keep it very limited so that there’s more detail for the roleplay itself, but I like a general idea before going into it for the sake of that detail, such as starters, if one character is for example running their fingers through your character’s hair, knowing the color of it beforehand is helpful!) For face claims, I normally use references that are art styled or anime-ISH (nothing cringy I promise), and don’t like using real life ones. Roleplays for me are an escape from reality, so I honestly hate real life face claims. Face claims are *optional* though, so if it works better for you, you don’t have to provide one, and you can ask me not to as well if you’re set on real life.

•I am very open-minded, and I am always up for trying something new. I don’t care how wacky or strange it is, if you want to try something, bring it up! Don’t be shy! I’ll always let you know if there is something I don’t like. That being said, my only, absolute limits, things I /won’t/ do (mostly smut related) are anything involving poop, pee, vomit or really just anything gross like that. If you’re unsure you can always ask!

•I want a partner who can put in as much effort to keep the roleplay going as I can. I love it when a partner maybe suggests an idea for the roleplay, or asks if there’s something to be added to progress it further. I’m a very spontaneous person, so chances are I’ll be doing a lot of that myself. Along with that, I’m very okay with making new friends through OOC chat! But like I mentioned before hand, please keep it anonymous until I’ve stated I’m very comfortable with you and would be willing to tell you more personal info.

•As far as pairings go, not only am I fine with MxM, but MxF as well (with this I heavily prefer to play the male)! With smut, I am very experienced and happy to play either a dominant or a submissive role and a top, bottom or switch position.
