#everything he’s done before this has maintained a level of distance #prisoners are spoken to from behind bars or torture implements #his abuse of Alicent while vicious was contact-free #getting into HC territory but ​i think he LIKED things that way. i think he kept them that way for a reason #like he’s gone past Aegon’s borders out of necessity but i think he’s encountering empathy he didn’t think he would #and by finding it LARYS’S layers are getting peeled back too. THEY WILL STARE. *AT YOU.* #like Aegon is a means to an end as much as he is a mirror that throws all of Larys’s most painful moments back at him #(even now Aegon is not a person. even now Aegon is a thing.) #anyway. i think Aegon was the first person to see Larys cry since Harwin died. and when Harwin died he hadn't seen it in over a decade. 😇
