Me, watching some YJS fans justify what Shauna did to Mari by using clips of Mari and Jackie giggling in s1 (normal teenage girl things), or Mari speaking the truth and trying to take Jackie's jacket (even though it was the middle of winter and the group were already sharing clothes), with said fans saying that they've would've done worse to Mari in response, acting like that makes them any better:

one of my favorite fandom jokes is how mid-to-later seasons sam suddenly becomes a total health nut — exclusively eating salad, chastising dean about junk food + drinking and jack about too much sugar etc — and we just never let him forget he drank entire cartons of straight blood half a decade or two earlier.

on one hand it’s very intriguing and perhaps even worth discussing how he shifted his diet to being completely herbivorous/omnivorous after several very low carnivorous periods, but on the other hand it’s probably really funny to resident non-eater Cas to watch the guy who infamously drank a nurse and frequently has life or death situations with his family suddenly start Nanny McPheeing them about what they decide to eat . Like

It seems to be set up that we won't get more than one character from each individual story (unless they're a package deal like Madeline's got going on) but that rule doesn't apply when in universe (damn near all the fnaf animatronics pulled up)

Episode 2 ends with characters getting tossed into portals

So if any of those portals drops them in the wrong part of Deepnest, someone might see a familiar figure and rush to meet them because "friend! You're okay!"

Only for that horned figures head to snap sideways, body distorting, and suddenly there's a screaming Nosk barreling towards them.

We have too few episodes to work out any world hopping patterns, I don't know if they'll travel to any of the current groups own worlds, so maybe not. But I'm an angst gremlin and the idea of the gang thinking their friend is back only to be met with some exorcist level horror has me in evil mode.

I'm not talking about "some random teen," I have not even dropped a username and been VERY clear I don't want harassment of anyone. During this discussion about wider ableism against Moonpaw, I've directly answered two anons about the contents of a post that was/IS extremely popular to the tune of nearly a thousand notes.

One of those two asks was an anon who only stumbled in to say that the post was funny in a display of SHOCKING tonedeafness, while I was talking about how shitty it is to compare people who are the products of incest to unethical dog breeds, especially in the context of WC. The other was an actual XX/XY chimera who expressed that the extremely popular post hurt their feelings, and when they tried to express discomfort to someone, got told they "probably killed their twin in the womb."

It's not just one rando weenie little blog the minute half of the Tumblr space is openly laughing at a joke about deformed incest kids and hoping Moonpaw dies because she's so "gross." Not nice?? Your feelings are hurt? OTHER people's feelings were ALREADY hurt.

NOTHING about this was "nice" to begin with!

Difference is, when YOU cry me a river, you can build me a bridge, and get right the fuck over it. A person who's the product of incest cries and has to go right back to every shitty banjo-hunchback-hapsburg joke they've heard before, just feeling more unsafe about a space that PRETENDS to care about the abuse they experienced. If you feel guilty about that, maybe you should!

Mark Grayson tgirl coding... there's so much to say but the conversation in the backyard is very clearly the place to start. The whole thing revolving around "who is Mark more like?? His mother or father??" as Mark struggles to say the former and Debbie continually assumes the latter for him. The idea of a time when Mark was like his mother and that it must be set aside like a childish thing. We hear about this time as boys being mean to Mark about his hair (something which can be read as racial and gendered), and specifically finding solace in his mom relating it to her "girl drama". And then when Mark finally gets out "I'm nothing like dad, I'm more like you" Debbie sets aside her assumptions that he is growing up to something like his dad, a white man, as kind of ridiculous ("Who says you have to?" It feels obvious once they put it in the air) tells him he doesn't have to be Omni-Man, "You just have to be the greatest you" (the choice here, with Omni-Man gendered but no name placed on who "you" will be) finally frees Mark from all these expectations, but he raises, hesitantly, another concern: what if the greatest me isn't enough. Afraid of what will be thought when he voices what "not being his father" actually means. Idk these are deeply resonant themes with me. And with the scene starting with the "Make me" a performance of what he thinks he's supposed to be now that crumbles as soon as it upsets his mom, it sets the seeds for what will become a running theme of Mark feeling unspeakable dread at the idea of being his father's son.

i saw a post earlier where u mentioned seizures were a possible symptom. do you think all those times arthur passed out in a coughing fit, he could have been having seizures as well? or is it more of just how strong the fit itself was? i'm not sure if the tb affected his brain very much so idk. either way it's sad to imagine😓!!!

The seizure aspect of TB is an interesting one, the brain takes a huge hit when you're struggling with the illness. Seizures are basically a complication of your central nervous system. Certain strands of the illness especially affects the brain and spinal cord, causing the inflammation and swelling that leads to seizures.

Generally, there's three different kinds of seizures. Focal, generalised, and status epilepticus seizures. For Arthur's illness specifically, his seizures would most likely be generalised seizures/epilepsy caused by the inflammation in his brain!

These seizures are the more "stereotypical" seizures where a person can lose consciousness and collapse. It presents itself differently for everyone. Sometimes muscles will lock up and stiffen, sometimes your limbs will jerk and tremble, it's dependent on a lot of different things.

But for Arthur, it's very likely that the occasions where he passes out are him having mild/generalised seizures. It's difficult to say for certain of course, but it makes sense given how Arthur struggles with movement/motor symptoms, talking and focusing once he wakes.

The combination of brain inflammation and lack of oxygen from coughing fits makes him especially susceptible to seizures and passing out. I won't go too far into the long term damage (mostly because it wasn't a problem for Arthur), but I mean it when I say that Arthur's death was definitely one of the most peaceful deaths you could have when you're battling the illness like that.
