As much as I begin to see the horrors of RWBY fndm and how crazed BB fans can be, there'll probably be no comparison to the psychotics I had to deal with in the HH fndm.

While I can totally find myself being tolerant with all RWBY ships, there's something territorial when it comes to HH ships. It's a different beast on its own, especially with the popular artists that can and will control their fanbase.

Boy do I have a tale of 2020 that had me deal with the mental gymnastics these wild shippers put me through. The sheer hypocrisy, the fear fans had of standing up to them, the collective harassment.

In a synopsis, before we start:

Hi, my name is Hale.

Alfa and Alex are probably the most psychotic people I’ve ever met when it comes to my online daily life. I used to think my ex-friends were the bane of my existence, but Alfa and Alex started making me think just how angelic my exes were in comparison.

So let’s begin.

When I first met the Double AAs, it was Alex first (awhile back in late-June 2020 during Vaggie Week) but it was indirect. I was on my Instagram when I was tagged by a random user in something Alex had drawn. This was when I first saw the kill art of Vaggie. I was so upset that I had yelled at this random user for tagging me, as well as showing it via screencap on my twitter, as a warning to never do this to me to my followers. Keep in mind, I had censored Alex’s name from the screencap, not the random user.

However, Alex saw this somehow and became hysterical, thinking I was targeting him for what he drew. This caused an uproar of his fans to come attack me, and it did cause me to become scared and get away from my account. Alfa decided to insert herself into the mix, but I didn’t care enough for her to say anything. It was mostly Alex and how much he was “scared” and cried about the “fandom being so hateful and scary.” He went private for a while I believe, but Alfa was still going hard at me and sending more of her fans to come harass me.

If Alex ever says he is a strong and brave man, don’t believe him. He fears the HH fandom.

Anyhow, after Alfa’s fans had done their best to gaslight me, I didn’t give in. In fact, I made amends with the random user that tagged me. Somehow they assumed I would like the art of Vaggie being killed, which was childish to even believe in. Nonetheless, I forgave them, and we moved on from there.

But even when we both resolved this together, Alfa and Alex decided that it would be fun to make this “kill Vaggie art” a meme, or trend. With their huge followings combined, they were able to get their artist fans to join in and start creating so much hate art of Vaggie. Many of them drew her head being cut off, mutilated, raped and cheated on.

Alfa and Alex adore gaslighting the hell out of people. While they draw such hideous things, they will go ahead and say, “but it’s just fiction, it’s not real,” and call you psychotic for even caring so much about their bad behaviour. I can only imagine what Alfa’s husband goes through everyday since Alfa loves to make people second-guess themselves often.

Keep in mind, Alfa and Alex are the same people who will cry and shake when their fictional ship is invalidated and written out. They often wish nothing good for Viv and her team that are providing these ungrateful children with the show and content they so badly want. It shows you just how privileged they had grown up as children, doesn’t it?

This wasn’t fun, it was horrible. I didn’t realize just how many toxic people existed in the HH fandom until this “trend” began to spread.

But the funny thing that I'll never forget is how apeshit Alfa went when I had the audacity to draw Alastor plus sized. She accused me of being a pedophile, supporting MAPs. Even though she leans towards being pro-ship (likes incest, OK with lolicon, will condone drawing necophilia.) But me? Having the sheer audacity of drawing Alastor fat? It burned her so bad.

As well, this was being pushed on the VAs during a small livestream. The chat wouldn’t stop asking, “what do you think of the Vaggie kill art going around?” Of course the VAs ignored these questions, but it was really rude to even ask these things. Especially when Vaggie’s VA was in the same livestream.

But then this trend was proven to be a lie, by Alex’s own words. He dropped the ball in a one-off conversation with an anti that “he only created this to get back at the Chaggie shippers.” So retroactively, this trend was worthless.

What also began to start becoming obvious was that Alfa was too afraid to do anything on her own, and thus, she will recruit some darlings to defend her. Alfa seems to have more defenders than she has any confidence to defend herself, and when she has no choice but to stand up for herself, she will buckle and hide. She is weak, is what I had learnt.

I decided to just ignore Alex and Alfa as much as I could. With a friend though, I was given updates of what was happening on the Double AAs’ side in the meantime, and it’s amazing to see just how vile they can be with their own fans and haters. Especially with their new puppy named Salty. (I think that’s their name, another weak ass bitch.)

As months went by, the major event that stirred from the AA camp was when they were harassing Pastel Sky. This would be where the big reveal of just how horrible the AAs and their friends truly are, when they have nobody to harass except for kids. HH has a wide audience of children involved in this fandom, hence why many other artists keep saying we should try to be good examples for them, and keep them safe. But not for the AAs.

Pastel was ruthlessly attacked by them and it was all unwarranted. What they were angry about was that Pastel had the nerve to have negative opinions when it came to AAs, and they broke their own rule of “don’t like then block.” Even Galactic Potatoes (Spuds) would go out of their way, again, to gaslight Pastel into believing that what attacks she received on Twitter was allowed, because Pastel was asking for it. Spuds is well-known to gaslight, a thing they had learnt from the AAs quite often.

Pastel was a minor at the time, and it really doesn’t matter if Pastel was just 17. I don’t care if Pastel was only 17 and that “well she’s almost 18,” because regardless of age, harassment is not the answer. Follow by that, fighting with minors is actually fucking stupid and braindead. Spuds tried very hard to justify why attacks were OK, and that Pastel “should learn” how to grow up. I then learnt that Spuds went into hiding afterwards.

That was until the Double AAs’ discord chats were exposed, showing that they were practically mouth-watering at Pastel’s pain, romanticizing her apparent abuse and trying to convince each other how her punishment on Twitter was correct. Even one (I believe was Jay because he loves me and wants me back) wished that I would die. This would be the third time he asked me to die indirectly, which justifies my points on how toxic and abusive they are.

This entire event seemed to have unraveled a new wave of truths, and it’s sad to know it had to take a literal minor to have their masks fall off.

In 2021, Alex was exposed to be a thief. Stealing commission money for “stress pills.” If Alex is on a path of drug addiction, I hope it’s not the case. That’s a terrible place to be, and hopefully he’ll be clean and grow up for once. I still don’t care enough about Alfa, after now knowing all she is, is just a dramatic housewife with nothing better to do in her life. Perhaps if they just got jobs instead of stealing money from fans, they’d be leading well-productive lives.

From what I understand, many of the toxic fans of the Double AAs have either dropped HH fandom, or have deleted their accounts. Good, I hope they stay gone. The fandom deserves better, not trash.

Needless to say, the best advice I can give to those in the HH fandom that come facing the Double AAs is to not be afraid of them.

Over time, once you get used to their behaviour, you come to realize that this is their default. They’re not likable, they’re not nice, and they aren’t appreciative of one singular thing you do for them (hence Alex stealing from his own fans.)

It’s their M.O., they are just that cruel. So don’t fear them, but challenge their behaviour. Don’t stoop to their level of wanting to draw hateful art, though, that will fuel them. Talking down to them like their idiots always works like a charm.

If anybody from the Double AAs’ camp ever finds this and reads it, I just wanna say that you are doing a great job, sweety. Thanks for proving me right by the new year. I appreciate the honesty for once. It only took you a year, just think of what other things you’ll do in the next year.

"My ears... My head... What the truth happened?" Edward muttered his breath, his brain screaming out in pain at the constant ringing

"He's waking up."

"About time."

"At least he wasn't sent to a complete coma."

"Was that necessary to say?"

"What? You do know it's true."

"Boys...."

"Sorry Professor..."

Reluctantly, Edward opened an eye to see Severus, Fred, George, Pomona and an unfamiliar woman he never seen before. They were all standing around the cot he rested on. With a groan, Edward closed his open eye and pulled a thin sheet over his head. He paused when he felt that he was no longer wearing his shoes. Swiftly, the golden Blonde shot up and lifted the sheets up. Letting out a sigh of relief, Edward was glad to see that he was still wearing a pair of thick socks. That was one secret he was not ready to tell anyone yet. Always wearing socks to hide his automail leg and to not ruin his good shoes far too quickly. "Truth..."

"Vat the truth vas dat ding!" Edward grumbled out, rubbing his forehead with his right hand.

"Mandragora." Pomona said she looked at Edward with complete sympathy.

"It's also called Mandrake." Fred added in.

"It let out screams that could either kill or knock out any person." George continued off after his brother.

"Great..." Edward muttered under his breath, he remembers reading that name in one of the many books that belong to Severus. He mentally went through what exactly he read about the plant along with the picture of it. The pictures he saw in the books and that single moment seeing Pomona pulling out a baby-plant like thing. "Hov long have I been out?"

"Little over a day, it's now lunch time." Severus stated, he walked towards the small table next to Edward's cot. On the table is a pitcher of water and a glass. "Do not worry about informing the other Heads. That has been taken care of by Professor Flitwick and myself."

"Dank you..." Edward thanked Severus and took the glass of water that the Potions Professor had offered him.

"It was also approved by the headmaster." Severus stated and this prompted Edward to spew out his water in shock. Without much motivation, Severus handed Edward a cloth napkin and slapped the blonde on the back. "Don't die now..."

"Shut up!" Edward coughed out, glaring at Severus from the corner of his eye. "Who blabbed?"

"...When we mentioned this to Professor McGonagall, she quickly went off to inform Professor Dumbledore."

"Vat did he say about it?"

"He finds it enlightening how anyone and everyone as an opportunity to attempt alchemy."

"Hah..." Edward snorted under his breath at that notion. He slowly sipped his glass of water as water, his eyes became distant as many memories ran through his mind. Many of them made his growl out the next couple of words. "Dere are people are dere that have no business learning alchemy."

The twins actually huddled together, taking a nervous step back. In the short time, they knew Edward; they never saw this side of him. Dark, menacing, and right down scary. Nothing like the easy-going, light-hearted, and bamboozling professor they have become to know.

Edward saw Fred and George taking a step back away from him. He blinked several times in confusion, his entire expression shifted from confusion to understanding. Then in complete 360, his entire persona shifted to one of foreboding to complete comical amusement to everyone around. When he tried to wave his hands in front of him he has spilled his water all over, get entangled in the thin white sheet that was covering him and tumble over the cot. There was a loud smack that rang out when Edward's head hit the marble floor.

Silence. Complete silence.

"Mr. Elric!"

"Edward!"

"Professor Elric!"

Edward groaned out in pain and responding to everyone that called out to him. He felt two people helping him up and back onto the cot. Someone had taken the now empty glass from his hand and took away the sheet from him. Now all that is left is a throbbing headache. This one injury was nothing compared to his many past injuries. However, at that moment he had allowed his guard down due to the pain, the weird presence that surrounded the school suddenly felt like it was attacking him. Like it was messing with his mind, making him see things differently and change his mindset. Taking in a deep breath, Edward pushed out that presence that was attacking his mind. Oh, how it felt all the times he had met Truth and feeling extremely annoyed by it. "Stupid school that hates me..."

Someone had firmly placed a hand on Edward's shoulder and that seemed to help him through that funk. His vision cleared up and he no longer felt the need to strangle something. Looking up he saw that it was Severus that placed his hand on his shoulder. "I think this school hates me..."

"What makes you think it hates you, Mr. Elric?" Severus asked, raising an eyebrow upward questioningly.

"I thought I told you not to call me that!"

"You did?"

"Stop dat."

"Stop what?"

"Dat!"

"That?"

A loud cough interrupted the escalating argument, everyone turned to see Minerva McGonagall standing a good way from everyone. She sent a pointed look at the twins; the twins glanced at each other before they said their goodbyes and quickly scurried off.

"Fred! George!" Edward called out after the Weasley Twins. Both boys turned around to look at the Alchemy professor. "Continue with your studies, there might be a chance you could get into my class this year."

The way the twin's eyes brighten and their smiles made Edward grin at them. "If you only pass a test."

"Come on, Mr. Elric."

"A test!"

"Go study!" Edward yelled out the boys before they ran off after getting another look from their Head of House. The Golden Blonde glanced over at said Head of House with a frown. "Vat?"

Minerva expression frown deepened, looking like she wanted to say something to Edward but turned her gaze over to Severus. "A word? In private."

Severus glanced over at Edward, who actually looked relieved for not having to speak with the woman. Edward shrugged and went back to lying on the cot, wincing when his head hit the stiff pillow. "Ow."

Severus snorted, which earned him a glare from Edward before he followed Minerva out of the Hospital Wing. Once the loud audible click that signified that both professors had left the room, leaving Edward, Pomona, and Poppy alone in the Wing.

"I think she does not like me all that much..."

Severus slowly blinked at the Transfiguration Professor as she stared back at him with questioning eyes. She has just expressed her excessive worry about Edward being a legitimate Professor, or even allowed in the school for that matter. Only for the fact, Edward is a Muggle in all ways and other reasons she managed to sprout out. The main point she will not let go is Edward not being a wizard. He didn't want to remember the argument they had over the laws that were broken.

"In all honesty, Severus...this is something you would never do. I haven't seen you this friendly with anyone since..." Minerva caught herself out before she uttered a certain someone's name. She looked at Severus face to gauge his reaction, to only see her fellow professor calmly picking up the cup of tea that she had placed in front of him earlier. It wasn't the type of calm that could be described as the calm before the storm. If anything he looked resigned to the simple fact that Severus actually has a friend. "Severus...?"

"We have a similar taste in humor." Severus shrugged not denying what was said to him. Severus sense of humor, or sense of offending people, Edward doesn't take it to heart. If anything, he knows how to turn the tables against Severus. Edward doesn't take crap from anyone and they could have intellectual conversations, even if it sounds more like they bickering with each other. Although Edward has his idiotic moments, he has his moments that even surprise Severus to a high degree. The main one is that Dumbledore cannot control Edward like he has too many others. "And... There is more than what meets the eye for this so-called Alchemist..."

This caught Minerva's attention, she signaled for Severus to continue on talking.

"He comes from a country that no Wizard has ever heard or been to. A place where only Alchemy is the norm and public knowledge... How is it that someone you consider to be a full-blooded Muggle, able to see Diagon Alley or let alone enter Hogwarts without any sort of magical help?" Severus allowed his words to sink in. These are questions that even have himself questioning Edward own background. Not even his background but the place where Edward hails from. Amestris. "This world has far more secrets than what we originally anticipated..."

"I had assumed Albus did something to help him..."

"No, Mr. Elric may not be capable of doing magic, but what he knows and does, defies what we everything we know as a whole."

"Achoo!" Edward sneezed out loud, he wiped his nose with the back of his hand. He glanced around the corner hoping to see no one. Seeing that no one was there, he quickly took the hallway hoping to find Severus or Filius. He was lost and had no clue how to return to his classroom or room in general. After managing of escaping Madam Pomfrey's watchful eye, Edward made his escape. Magic or not, a doctor is a doctor. "Where am I now?"

After thirty minutes of walking around, getting lost on the constantly moving staircases, Edward was nowhere near where he needed to be. "I need a flipping map! This place is impossible."

Edward stuffed his hands into his pockets and decided he might as well continue on, there was no point figuring out the school. He did not need a headache he already has to grow. With not much on his mind, the Alchemy Professor allowed his eyes to wander around taking everything in. He made it a point to ignore the moving and talking paintings. If he allowed his mind to focus on them, it would lead to unnecessary complications. "Now where to go..."

"Here I thought we would avoid them..." Führer Grumman mused, looking over the letter that Mustang received from Elric. Mustang stood in front of his desk, his expression serious. "How is it when something happens of this level occurs, you somehow get sucked into it?"

"To be honest... I have been asking myself that same question for years." Mustang stated, mentally cursing Elric penchant for getting in trouble. Here he thought the golden blonde would learn and stay out of trouble. But no... If anything that the idiot managed to get him into is something they never would have anticipated happening. To get in contact with a world that as no complete power over them and of course everyone's favorite, saving a country from complete destruction. 'Even with the evils of the Transmutation Circle, it did provide us protection from that side of the world.'

"Do you want to bring him back?"

"No, it would be a matter of time before this would happen. Keep this to yourself and maintain contact with Colonel Elric about this."

"Understood."

"...Tell more about this owl of his...?"

"How did I end up here?" Edward said to himself, he had somehow ended up on the rooftop of one of the tallest tower of the school. He had thought if he got on the roof he could have a better insight of where he was. Well, that did not work out well as the first thought of it in his head. "How do I get back down now?"

Alrighty then!

1. Any scars?

Mhm, pretty much all the scars I have are burns. One is from burning the side of my arm on an iron my mom had standing upright that I brushed against trying to reach something on the counter behind it and I’ve got one or two other scars from my culinary class on my hands from trying to put a tray in the oven and bumping it on the rungs above the ones I was putting it on. I burnt my hand day one of actually cooking. Yes I’m a disaster.

2. Self harmed?

Absolutely not. One, I’m too scared of pain, and two, I have uh… An unpleasant history involving someone else threatening self harm to make me do what they wanted, so… It’s a really sore spot for me.

3. Crush?

I honestly have no idea.

4. Kissed anyone?

Nope

5. Coke or Pepsi?

Neither they make me physically ill

6. Someone you hate?

There’s a LOT of assholes at my school but the person I hate the most is probably my dad for reasons.

8. Have you ever done alcohol or drugs?

hahaha fuCK NO. I’d rather not get addicted to something that can and will kill me and throw my money at people to sustain it. If someone offered me either I’d probably flip them off whilst slowly backing up and getting tf out of there because NO.

Author/Illustrator with some VA work and Video Game directing on the side.

10. Ever been in love?

I have. It was with someone I didn’t have a chance with and who would be an absolutely awful lover to me since we weren’t compatible emotion-wise so I let it go. It was hard, but I did it.

11. Last time you cried?

Last Sunday trying to explain to my mom why our preacher and the church we go to has completely fallen out of my favor for it’s very loud blatant ‘LGBT people are bad abortion is evil insert other white conservative stuff here’ ‘cause she doesn’t know I’m LGBT+ (and it’s going to stay that way) and I was trying to explain to her why I would never say invite my LGBT friends to church because they would be mercilessly persecuted by people who call themselves followers of God then spit in his eye by doing the exact opposite of everything he’s asked of them. Yes I still feel really strongly about this.

My top 3 in order of obsession; Kill La Kill, RWBY, and Kingdom Hearts.

19. If you had one wish, what would it be?

For every single illness, disease, syndrome, disorder, and so on to have a cure. From Cancer to Asthma. Both because I have so many incurable diseases/disorders and because I know there are people out there who have things so much worse than me in that department.

20. Do you love someone?

I love all my mutals, friends, and most of my family including extended family.

21. Kiss or hug?

I’ve never been kissed so I don’t know anything about how that would be so I’d say hug because I love hugs!

22. Nicknames people call you?

Derpy, Slurpy, D-Slur, Resident Cinnamon Roll (That’s my actual nickname on a Revue Starlight discord)

this is like asking me to pick my favorite child uhhhhh… This Life Is Mine by Jeff Williams, it just means a lot to me.

25. Worst thing that has ever happened to you?

….Okay, uh, this is gonna be really hard to decide because a LOT of bad things have happened to me. I’ll go with the more physical choice because I’d rather not dump too much of my emotional baggage onto yall. One time I was being prepped for surgery and they needed to get the IV in. (for the record I’m shaking pretty badly right now from thinking about this) They had to stab my arm with what they called a ‘Bee sting’ (it wasn’t a bee sting it goes almost down to the bone) that had numbing stuff in it and they were trying to find a vein they could put my IV in but they couldn’t find one (okay now i’m typing really fast so I don’t have to think about this for long) and they kept stabbing my arm over and over again. The thing is I have a serious phobia of needles that sends me into panic attacks, I’ll go lightheaded I’ll lose my hearing and so on. So I was trying to put a brave face on despite my parents not even being there but they would. not. stop. They didn’t give me a break. It was one stab then another then another then another. I was having a full blown panic attack, I was almost crying. Then they seemed to get it. They left me for a bit and my parents came in. My arm started swelling. They HADNT got it. My arm was being filled with whatever my IV was. They came back in with the beesting. They started stabbing me again but on the other arm. I couldn’t keep a brave face anymore after thinking they were finally done. I started to cry and sob and the panic attack I had that day was the single worst I have ever had. It got worse. They missed a vein entirely and instead hit a bundle of nerves. My hand started involuntarily twitching as pain unlike any I’ve ever felt before or until now wracked my arm. I had actual trauma from this, the night after the surgery I kept feeling ghost pains of the stabs in my arms, I had to sleep on my stomach with my arms wrapped around my front just to make them go away. I’m still extremely traumatized of this to this day. I never want to have surgery again. I never want an IV again.

Okay that got away from me there I’m sorry I kinda was having a panic attack while writing that. Anyways moving on.

26. Best thing that has ever happened to you?

This is gonna sound cheesy but meeting @theansweris-a. She’s the sweetest and kindest person I have ever met in my entire life and I feel so incredibly lucky to call her my friend, though knowing her she’ll see this and reply with ‘No U’ because we always end up in a shouting match of ‘YOU ARE A WONDERFUL HUMAN BEING’ ‘NO YOU’RE A WONDERFUL HUMAN BEING’

27. Something you would change about yourself?

I definitely would lose weight. Not because of societies bullshit but because I legitimately want to lose weight so I can actually get strong and build up some muscle, I WANT TO BE ABLE TO OPEN GATORADE BOTTLES GODDAMNIT

28. Ever dated someone?

Nope, I’m closeted and have no interest in even pretending I’m straight by dating a guy, I mean I know some genuinely nice guys (all of them dorks) but they’re all just my friends though they are massive goofballs and I love them very much. (Entirely platonically)

29. Worst mistake?

I… Don’t think you guys wanna know that. It’s nothing bad its just depressing and I don’t wanna be more depressing then I already have been.

30. Watch the movie or read the book?

Depends on which is better, like I’d rather watch the Chronicles of Narnia than read the books because the books are honestly terrible but I’d rather read Percy Jackson than watch the movie because the movies are incredibly unfaithful to the books.

My cheesiness never ceases but the first time I actually hung out with @theansweris-a IRL at the mall. I remember being SO excited for it but also nervous that how easily we talk to each other wouldn’t translate into real life and I remember spotting her walking up and practically shouting her name before running up and giving her a big ol’ hug whilst crying happy tears (I know i’m sappy shut up) and then when we were let loose to walk around we quickly discovered that we clicked almost immediately and incredibly well it was just the best thing ever. Like, in that one day alone we spent six hours in that mall just chatting and buying stuff and having fun and we left the mall with like three different inside jokes despite it being our first time meeting in person since we first met. Hi my name is Derpy and I’m a big ol’ sap.

I’m pretty good at writing, I can type really fast, and I can play the harmonica.

35. Do you wish you could ever start over?

Absolutely not. Things are the way they are for a reason, and even though I’ve been through a LOT it’s because of all that that I’m the person I am today and I wouldn’t trade that for the world.

36. Any bad habits?

Yeah, I’m a nail biter.

37. Ever had a near death experience?

Yes actually, when I was 3 or 4 we took a plane to California to visit some relatives and I almost walked out of the air hatch one the way out, I remember this vividly even though it was a long time ago. If it wasn’t for the flight attendant grabbing me before I fell out, I wouldn’t be here today.

38. Someone I can tell anything to?

@theansweris-a and @my-words-are-light, they’re both really good listeners and have helped me through a lot of stuff.

39. Ever lost a loved one?

My Great Grandpa Ritch died shortly after I was born, there’s a lot of pictures of him smiling and holding me while in a hospital bed and hooked up to oxygen.

Oh absolutely, 100%. I mean if you know me you already know that I have just ABSURD amounts of love in my heart and I genuinely believe that it exists.

Young Justice:Battalion (Season 4 AU RP idea)

OK, so with the remainder of YJ: Outsiders just around the corner, it got me to thinking about the future of the Team. We have waited over 5 years for what happened after Invasion, so GOD only knows if we'll EVER see a season 4 within our lifetimes. This said, this AU Rp, that I'm thinking about making a one on one/Two on one, Intermediate effort as well as a long-running one for anyone dedicated enough, Is something I'd like to try out. Lemmie lay down the scenario for anyone interested. This is also for anyone who happens to be a fan of DC's Kingdom Come series. Teen versions of characters from that Elseworlds story as well as traditional adult ones, have starring roles. Heroes and villains alike. Now, without any further-a-do, here's the scenario in an 8 paragraph nutshell. (Some nutshell. Sorry. :S) ''The year is 2027. 10 years after the end of Outsiders. A great deal has changed in many ways. The South Korean Music Invasion of the late 10s and early 20s, along with the election of President Martin Suarez in 2020, brought a new sense of optimism to America, at least culturally. At the same time, however, a desire for the now ever growing distant past became ever more prevalent. The revivals of the Ska/Pop-Punk, Eurodance and Nu-Metal genres from the mid to late 90s and early 00s, sharing a place on the virtual charts with K-Pop groups, Folk-Pop Groups inspired by Ed Sheeran's Galway Girl, both British And American Grime artists and, oddly enough, Neo-Classical composers, has to lead to an extremely diversified music world as well as a higher sense of hope. Fertilising this ever-growing aesthetic sense of a better tomorrow, was the clearing and exoneration of many accused actors, singers, VAs and so on during the long-gone MeToo movement with names like Michael Jackson, George Takei, Jim Cummings (By now RIP), Nelly, Nick Carter, Stan Lee, etc, being exonerated, returning to Hollywood and the entertainment industry in General, a greater sense of trustworthiness. In classrooms across the western world, Virtual Reality is becoming more prevalent, Real Meat, milk and cheese are being cloned in barrels en mass, Tv Commercials are actually watchable again, especially for Video Games, even fasion is based on a kind of ''hereditary nostalgia'' from the Late 80s, Mid 90s and Early 00s. Of course, not everything is sunshine and rainbows in the late 20s and not everything is quality. Despite the new trend of Pulp Hero Cinematic Universes and realistic romcoms in the style of Clerks, DEEPLY Experimental Horror, Adventure and Animated flicks Also dominate the box office. Outside the world of entertainment, Racism and prejudice also continue to exist as do crime and disasters. Racketeering, smuggling, Terrorism, Arson, Murder, kidnappings, Assaults and general super villainy Have been steadily on the increase and Forrest-Fires, Typhoons and especially Mudflows are becoming more frequent in Central Asia, Scandinavia and the Southern Mediterranean, thanks to climate change which, while being mended, seems to have simply migrated to other regions. Naturally, therefore, there will always be a need for Superheroes. But the old guard of humanity, The Justice League, are starting to get on in years. Many have now been supplanted by former members of a group known as ''The Team.'' Former teen sidekicks who formed a kind of undercover, black-ops superhero group that handled covert operations the League couldn't. 15 years ago, they formed in order to step out of the League's shadow, now they have either replaced the League's former roster, while the Younger members have either gone solo, quit or gone off to join an alternative. The Outsiders, lead by veteran Hero, Black Lightning. Shortly before the Team officially disbanded, seemingly forever, Old and New members alike came together to rebuild one of the JL's old ''Haunts.'' The Hall of Justice in central Metropolis. Briefly the true HQ for the Justice League, it quickly became a front for the superior base. The Watchtower, until it's destruction by The Alien race named The Reach uncovered the League's deception. Now fully rebuilt, the Hall stands as a sign of hope that maybe, one day a new team of young heroes in need of guidance will come together to face the challenges of the present and learn from the past. Good things come to those who wait, so they say. The so-called ''Nu-Age'' has arrived. New heroes, New Powers, Young Faces. The Dark, The Bright, The Strange and experimental, The Traditionalists and Legacy holders, The powered and non-powered. The gun toters and gadget masters. Alien, human, mutant. Brash, Egotistical, Snarky, excitable, Pseudo-Nihilistic, Optimists, Tough, Kind, Strong, Quick, Big and Small, Fun and Serious, Young and Eager, Wild and Free. Maybe a combination of all or some. Names and faces such as Manotaur, 666, Nucleoid, Living Doll, Trix, Stars and Stripes among others, are the ones now trusted to defend mankind as it's defenders and champions. Of course, it's only fitting that the most ambitious one of all, the one holding these 7 loosely together is a native to Superman's home city of Metropolis, the popular teen superhero, Magog. Powerful, Shining, Charismatic, Arrogant, Intelligent, Sociable. All wrapped up in the body of one 16-year-old, Superhero Rock Star with one thing on his mind. To save the world, from itself. But dark forces are once again lurking in a seemingly ''comparatively better'' world. A new threat is beginning to emerge from the shadows, The League knows it needs back up, but with the Outsiders so busy with their own thing and the old members not getting any younger, it's time for Magog's 7, he and his ''Battalion,'' to step up, fight, learn, train, grow both as friends and as teammates and become the heroes they were always meant to be. for better...or for worse...'' So to wrap this up, The For anyone interested, the roleplaying will be done via Discord, It's for Intermediate and literate roleplayers and fans of Lore, continuity, Character AND Action-driven stories, DC Elseworlds (Kingdom Come specifically) as well as YJ. Kansas is a beautiful state with an incredibly brutal history. Born of an ousted people, baptised in the brutal conflict of both world imperialism and civil strife; torn from a neighbor, with her people strewn across an ungrateful nation, The state of Kansas has borne horrors, humilation, and blood with an uncanny grace. Though her history is especially bloody, she has chosen the path of a healer.

She has watched and helped as her own people with forced onto lands that they didn’t want, and then were treated unfairly by a government that knew nothing of her strengths. She has been a home to immigrants and emigrants, people hoping for a new life in this new world. Populations forced to continuously adapt, grow, and learn, yet through it all remained strong in their conviction that a better tomorrow was possible today, if only one kept at it.

She housed civil unrest as the atrocities from the east found their way to her borders; she herself fought for the rights of humans, while her own neighbors flooded her state, her territory as an evil that she didn’t want reared its ugly head. Yet, through it all, her people persisted; she persisted. As invaders continued theatening her, her people answered the call and fought beside her, for her. When her statesmen faced a divided nation, again they answered the call, fighting alongside the Union.

She fought in the trenches as, yet again, there was a call to arms; she weathered the devastating Dust Bowl alongside the national Depression; she fought in the fields across Europe and Asia, Italy and North Africa; when victory was called and she returned home, she continued her efforts in medicine.

With tragedy, came triumph: She bore a new era of progressivism which led to new growth within her state; she watched the prohibition movement grow in her amongst her people; she watched as her brave civilian, men and women, took u the battle flag to defend freedom at home and abroad; the needs and values of urban America became a common topic, and her personal faith and hope in community only grew during this time; she housed ‘the oil fields that won World War I; and from 1922-1927, she won legal battles against the monsters and won, leading to the collapse of their control and their numbers in her home.

Forged in fire, cast in steel, Kansas and fought and triumphed, fought and lost, and yet she still moves forward. She is both the Wheat Basket and the Jawhawk, the fighter and the healer; a home to a Native people, forced off their lands; home to settler and immigrants, hoping to start anew; a way station for settlers heading west, west, west into the rising sun, into a new future.

Her people have created in her a personal motto, something to hold tight to when the world is falling and the light seems so dim: Do not mistake my kindness for naiveté, my silence for submission. I have willingly done what few have chosen to do: I have put down my bows and arrows, and picked up my wreath and stethoscope.

I have chosen kindness and healing over strife and discord.

Alright, so here’s my girl Kansas. This is my personal HC for the Sunflower state, and the picture on the bottom right hand corner I found on a site called Pexels, and the picture was made by the creator Godisable Jacobs. Her pictures are absolutely beautiful.

HC for KS:

She’s worked in medicine pretty much her entire life, but took an active interest in it later on.

She knows numerous different methods of healing and has, herself, both created new methods, written about them, and has added hundreds of medical journals and research papers to the science and research of medicine.

She works in different fields of medine, though her favorites are pediatrics and neurology. The former because she adores playing with kids and being around them, and the latter because she finds it pretty cool--its both old and new! Which, granted, is most medicine, but its like some cool sci-fi disovery.

She’s generally very good with kids, but she has lost one in a field of sunflowers before. She found the little boy later, but still.

She and Missouri still have a tense relationship. It’s getting better, but the dude literally militarily attacked her on numerous occasions.

She loves cookie dough.

She works with Doctors Without Borders and has donated quite a bit of both time and money on the program.

During the Dust Bowl and Depression, she had lost too much weight and was constantly coughing up dust, so she makes up for that by eating whenever she can, and staying as far away from smoking and cigarettes as possible.

A lot of doctors know her name and by sight. So, when they see her entering the hospital, they know to approach her immidiately and answer all questions that she has.

If she’s not in a hospital, she’s watching netflix or watering her garden.

She sends her siblings sunflowers every year on important dates.

She’s pretty close to CA and FL: the former keeps her on her toes, the latter helps her relax.

She once raised a squirrel and named him whiskers; she once raised a raven and called her Quoth (she loves Edgar Allen Poe, but refuses to let VA know).

She’ll help any mangy animal that she finds.

She’s more than happy to help anyone that needs it, free of charge (she has encyclopedias worth of opinions on medicine and medicare and healthcare. Once she get’s started, she doesn’t stop).

She’s a left-handed.

She was a fighter in her early years, and later took up medine.

She was The Head Nurse during both World Wars.

The only alcoholic drink that she likes is C*ke with Rum.

She can’t whistle.

She has a little barn area behind her house where she sometimes helps treat people when they need it.

She didn’t speak to Missouri for a solid decade after the Civil War.

She knows a lot about gods and goddesses of medicine in dozens of mythologies.

She can speak a lot of different languages, and sometimes when she’s angry at her siblings, she’ll snap at them in Greek or Latin. She doesn’t swear at them, just talks to them angrily in Greek or Latin.

During World War II, she once snapped at an especially rude (read: racist) injured soldier and she told him, ��Sir, I am an army doctor. Do you know what that means? It means that I have a perfect understanding of the human anatomy. What that means is shut-up, or I’ll break something that won’t grow back. I can take the sight of blood; you won’t be so lucky.”

simultaneously the mom friend, the dad friend, and the big sister friend.

So, this is my personal HC for Kansas, but like I’ve said, states are so vast and all of them carry so much history, that to have one single representative, makes very little sense. So, although this is firmly KS for me, there’s always room for interpretations.

Hit the read more if you want to know about the personal things that have been keeping me away from the blog, ignore this post if you don’t care. It’s long and there’s a lot to cover.

Alright, where to start... well, if you’ve been around long enough, you’ll remember Mod Ruebi and me used to run this blog together. She’s still somewhat active in helping me with requests, but for the most part, it’s all me now. Ruebi and I had a falling out a bit after the blog’s original hiatus.

The cause of that falling out is trust. Our friend group consists of a close-knit group of people, we trust each other with everything. There’s five of us now, but we were four back then. A new person had tried to come into the group, we’ll call her Alice. Not her real name or even her screen name.

At first, Alice was great. Ruebi and I got along with her, our other two friends also got along with her. Everything was fine. Then, I had a night where I felt horrible. If you don’t know, I selfship. I selfship to cope with things. That’s important to this story. I followed Alice’s blog here on Tumblr, I knew her blog when I saw it ask a blog I followed- one that occasionally roleplays as one of my main f/os. I saw it the night I felt like shit.

To paraphrase “omg you’re so hot I shouldn’t love you but I do” to anyone else, this might seem like she’s not saying it in a selfship way, but trust me, she was. If she knew we liked a character, she did too. None of us said anything because we thought she did it for coping as we did. I’ll get into that in a bit. Anyway, I already felt like shit but that made it worse. I was talking to one of our other friends, one I’m still friends with today. We’ll call this friend Josie.

Josie tried to reason with me that she might not mean it as selfshipping. She said her screen name. Keep in mind, this conversation was happening on Quotev, I was on an account that Alice didn’t follow, Josie was on an account that she did, so while she didn't see anything I said, she saw everything Josie said. Alice immediately assumed Josie and someone else was talking shit about her. I only saw Josie’s responses to Alice, but all my misery turned into anger when I saw her accusing my friend of talking about her behind her back. I got angry when I saw how the tone in Josie's posts would switch from trying to help my emotions and trying to get Alice to back off. I went to an account she followed and told her off. I got very heated and very angry. I included her knowing the shit I’ve been through and why I need the character she sent that message to as a coping mechanism. I got very angry, I let my emotions drive what I said. I was upset at her for turning everything around to be about her all the time, I was angry about her calling Narancia’s boyfriend a snake. I was pissed at her, I didn't think about what I said.

An hour later, I’ve deleted what I said to her and apologized. She doesn’t seem to care. Next day- because this happened around 2am- Ruebi and Narancia are told what happened. Narancia tried to talk to Alice to see what her side of the story was, we all just tried to be civil and move on. Alice refused to move on. Alice started talking about us, started calling us names. Josie, Narancia, and I had unfollowed and blocked her at this time. Ruebi still hadn’t. Alice kept talking about us for six months. She kept posting about us and making fun of us for six months.

I don’t blame Ruebi for this anymore. I’ve moved on and I’m not angry anymore. But back then, I was upset and hurt by it. I talked to Josie and Narancia about it, they both agreed that we needed to talk to Ruebi about it. I did it for them since at that time I was the only one of us that talked to her every day. Her bond with Narancia and Josie had already dwindled, because of Ruebi needing to get away from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, which the rest of us were (and still are) basically obsessed with. JJBA is where the character in all this comes from. I explained the situation, how I know I shouldn’t make her choose between friends, but that seeing her still talking to Alice after what Alice did hurts. I explained it to her. As far as I’m aware, that still talk occasionally

But that is not the straw that broke the camel’s back. No, that draw was when Narancia came to me with a link to a new account. One that Ruebi had made in secret to get away from the rest of us. To talk to Alice and get away from us talking about what made us happy.

That’s what caused the falling out to be so bad. We’ve taken a break and I’ve talked to her recently. We are trying to repair some form of friendship, she's not active on the blog, but she does still help me with things on the doc.

Alright... with that part out of the way, we can get into the recent stuff.

My nephew- my oldest brother’s son- is going through a lot. I’ve been talking to him and trying to be there for him over discord as much as possible. To put it simply, he’s trans, his mother is a terrible parent (not that she doesn’t accept him, she does, but other reasons), and he has suicidal tendencies. I’ve been trying to talk to him every week at least to remind him that he has someone who loves him.

My father... oh boy. No other way to say it, he is an abusive asshole. He kept my mother awake for a week. On purpose. He pissed on the floor. And I’m not saying that he pissed his pants- which he does- in saying that he pulled his penis out of his pants and pissed on the floor. On purpose. The bathroom was open. That’s the kind of person he is. Anyway, we have him in the Jackson VA hospital right now, but we’re looking at moving him into long term care. Mom can’t take care of him anymore, she’s afraid for her and us. He cut off her c-pap’s vent one night. He tried to kill her.

Ah... I think that’s everything big that's been happening. I’ve been stressed out and trying to keep friends and family from getting stressed. I’ll be back soon though. I have a few requests finished and some of my own things in drafts.

2017

1. What did you do in 2017 that you’d never done before? i’ll try to do this chronologically again: so at the beginning of january one of my best friends left to study abroad in rome which was sad and i missed her a lot. i saw rory scovel do stand up. i took an animation class which was fun for the first few weeks until i failed it lmao. actually my classes from jan to march did not go so well tbh but whatever i made it through. my sister came to visit me the weekend before st paddys day which was super fun and then we saw panic which was soooooooo fuckin rad i love them still wow! i went home for spring break and visited a local winery w my dad which was a lot of fun and then a week later uhhh me and @carrot-gallery became gfs!!! and my whole frickin life changed bc i love her so much wow!! but then a week after that i turned 22 and spent my birthday alone! which i tried to pretend didnt make me sad but by the end of the day i was very sad about it and thats when my sweet gf called me to sing happy birthday and i sobbed on my couch and ill never forget that!!! so okay then spring quarter classes started and i was a part of depaul’s visiting artist series which was super cool... i met a lot of new awesome people (both at depaul and the industry ppl that were our guests!) and made some great friends in that class! i was a house manager and camera op which was super fun. i went to a screening of my fave professor’s short film which was also rad. i saw a ghost story at the chicago critics film festival, which was amazing. i saw idiocracy in 35mm and then mike judge did a q&a! the very next day i was house manager for depaul’s student film festival at the music box! i saw chris gethard do a live recording of beautiful/anonymous and then also do some standup, that was awesome. i saw day wave live!!! amazing! i spent an entire dystopian day dealing with megabus. that was hell! i sat at an outdoor amphitheater and even tho i couldnt really see him i got to listen to seu jorge sing david bowie covers and life was magical for a few hours. my sisters came up to visit me and we saw aladdin the musical and had our minds blown, it was soooo fun! i went to the chicago pride parade for the very first time but i went by myself and at one point i was sitting on the curb just crying! not a high point but still memorable. i won a ticket to an advanced screening of the big sick where kumail & emily were there to do a q&a after the movie.... had a fuckin blast OBVIOUSLY and then saw the movie 9 other times in various theatres. i also made it into a commercial FOR the movie i just loved it that much lmao! i moved into a new (and my current) apartment! lorde released melodrama and fucking murdered me in my own home. otherwise i had a pretty uneventful but anxiety filled summer bc of financial aid stuff so that really sucked. i saw good time w taylor and the safdie brothers were there to do a q&a and they were such interesting guys i could listen to them talk for hours honestly. my mom and sisters came up to visit me and we took our mom to her very first cubs game which was sooo so much fun and they won that day too!! it was awesome and we had a great time :) watched the eclipse (or tried to anyway!!) fall quarter classes started and i honestly kicked ass at them, i got on the deans list (i almost typed honor roll lmao i mean its basically the same) i hung out with ari again which was cool!! we went to the aquarium! me and taylor saw beach fossils which was honestly the most buckwild concert ive ever been to i think, it was good shit. i got jobs at AMC (which i have since quit lmao) and starbucks and left my job at the paint place which was bittersweet! me and taylor saw mbmbam live!!! so fun!! and we watched trolls that night and goofed on it so hard!! i went home for thanksgiving and found out my big sister is gonna have a baby this year!! :D i saw mike birbiglia do stand up! which was soooo incredible of course (except i felt bad bc my mom was supposed to come w me but she couldnt go! so i brought taylor lol) UMMMMM MY DAM GIRLFRIEND CAME TO CHICAGO TO VISIT ME AND STAYED FOR A WHOLE DANG WEEK AND IT WAS THE BEST THING EVER SHE MAKES ME SO HAPPY WE HAD SO MUCH FUN AND I MISS HAVING HER RIGHT NEXT TO ME EVERY SINGLE GOSH DANG DAY <3 ;_____; and that was my year!!

2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year? last year i said id like to read at least one book each month and watch at least 100 movies - i did neither! im keeping the movie resolution though bc cmon 100 movies should be EASY for a film major wtf am i doing!

3. Did anyone close to you give birth? no but it will happen in 2018!

4. Did anyone close to you die? not a person but we had to put down my sweet doggo, flash :(

5. What countries did you visit? still none :/

6. What would you like to have in 2018 that you lacked in 2017? More confidence that I actually deserve to be in college and that I can do this shit and I’m awesome <– that was my answer from last year and the year before but yeah. same. also money.

7. What dates from 2017 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? ummm march 25 when me and gf became gfs and also dec 17 when she came to visit :)

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? putting myself out there by doing VAS/Premiere, getting on the deans list for the first time since freshman year and then also getting a new job

9. What was your biggest failure? this summer i didnt do shit besides wallow and cry and it sucked!

10. Did you suffer illness or injury? nope

11. What was the best thing you bought? every movie ticket and the bras i bought for natalie ;-)

12. Whose behavior merited celebration? natalie’s because she’s amazing and works so hard!!!! and she can always cheer me up and im so in love w her

18. What do you wish you’d done more of? read and write and watch movies and write and read about movies

19. What do you wish you’d done less of? Spending money and also being bitter about everything for no reason <– last year and the year before that AGAIN and also same!

20. How did you spend Christmas? working at AMC which i hated every second of :)

Voices of the FGC: Andre/Dream Boy Purple of Skullgirls Latin American (SG LATAM)

Over the last five years, Skullgirls has been the “Lil’ Darling” of the Indie movement in Fighting Games. It the game that’s thrived when people said it was “dead”, multiple setbacks, from its former publisher, and various other hay-makers that come with its game development. Through all of that though, it has not only survived, but grown. Now as the actual final patch for the game comes out, the current call for the game, it’s a good time to look back and see it lasting effect on the fighting game landscape. I sat down with a friend of mine, Andre/Dream Boy Purple, who was the lead organizer for SG LATAM, a Skullgirls Latin American group, for his thoughts on Skullgirls, its effect on him, and his organization.

Vice’s Assistant: Alright let's start off with your name for the folks who don't know and what you do with Skullgirls?

Andre/Dream Boy Purple: Name is André, well basically I created and have been running SG LATAM a Latin American focused community for Skullgirls, as well as trying to use the group itself as a medium to spread the word of SG on other LATAM communities.

VA: How did you find out about Skullgirls?

Andre: Well, back in the day of 2011, I happened to stumble upon a trailer for Double, a character in the game before the game came out. It honestly left me pretty surprised: just the sight of the animation was pretty cool on itself, but it also looked like a really fun fighting game, especially considering I was into Marvel at the time. It was a no brainer (sic) that I soon got it for the 360 when it released.

VA: And when you first got the game, did it just "click" with you, or did that just come on later down the line?

Andre: Ha ha, that's actually a curious question. When I first got the game, I had my fun with it, but I guess there were a bunch of things that I didn't really enjoy with it. Things like the speed, the constant touch of death combos, the animation having to display the hitboxes for it to run smoothly, and even the netcode even though it was still rollback. It was in a rougher state than the one we have now, I endend (sic) up playing it casually during that time and no thinking much about it.

VA: After you spent time with it though, when did things start to feel like "I really dig this game"?

Andre: That was way down the line, after the whole fiasco with Reverge Labs having to dismantle and reform into Lab Zero, and the launching of their crowdfunding campaign. I started to take interest in the game again after all there were a lot of things that were issues of mine adressed (sic) on the game since then like the speed or balance patches (we didn't get those on the 360 at the time sadly), plus new characters and a PC port after hearing that I made up my mind of giving the game a second chance and ended up falling in love with it then.

VA: Nice. I kind of started to dig the game after I've spent time with a few months later. Skullgirls was my "burnout" game after I would do long sets in SSF IV AE. After a while started fooling around with Fortune and started to realized I like her rush down stuff...even though I was probably abusing some of her nasty damage stuff she had in Vanilla Skullgirls.

Andre: Yeah, damage was kinda ridiculous in vainilla (sic) I remember seeing some videos of Severin back in the day of him killing characters anywhere on the screen with just one bar.

Couldn’t find a combo of Severine killing with one bar but here’s a 100% combo. These were common (and annoying) in Vanilla Skullgirls.

VA: I couldn't do that kind of stuff, and still can't, but I remember basically using the head to trip someone, going to rekkas, blockbuster. It was super easy to do and boy howdy you could get some nice chunks of damage off.

Moving forward, what in you decided that you wanted to foster your local community to get more people into the game?

Andre: Well when I really started to get into the game once again I started wanting to play more against people and Quick Match did only so much. So I searched around forums and Facebook groups for a LATAM community only to find out there were really none. I found a couple that talked about the game, it's (sic) lore, and played casually but not really one focused to compete with each other. So I quickly took action into it. After all if you want something done you should do it yourself. I created a very basic logo in PS and started a FB group which I tried to promote constantly to friends and in FGC groups. Thinking back to it, it was probably annoying for them to see me do that but I was determined. Ha ha.

VA: Since starting it, how has thing’s gone?

Andre: Well it has been growing pretty nicely and steadily. We're around 600-700 unique members between the FB, Discord, and Steam groups. The Discord is pretty active every day and people are constantly talking and playing on it. We got an actual logo for our group and not just a photoshopped SG logo. We have done plenty of tournaments now under the name "Trifulca en el Ring" with custom flyers for each edition. We've also since have partnered up with Arcade Rumble (a FGC Latin American group) and they have helped us do things like have better production streams, bigger audience to announce our stuff, and in ocassions (sic) even give out money prizes for our tournaments.

VA: Beyond just the SG LA community, how do you think Skullgirls has grown within the last 5 years? The prevailing joke is "Skullgirls is dead," but the truth is the opposite: Skullgirls is one of Steam's best selling fighting games (CORRECTION: Skullgirl is not one Steam’s best selling fighting games, far from it, but there are a lot more people who have then you think) , showings a plenty tournies, and even a "mini" convention at AX in Phoenix, AZ (Correction AX is in Los Angeles, California, not Phoenix, AZ).

Andre: The SGC (Skullgirls Community) has grown a lot, right now we have things like the Skullgirls Tour which is basically or own version of CPT or KI's world cup with 12 tournaments both offline and online. A lot of people have also joined through the PC community, thanks to it being a complete steal at just 15 bucks for the game, having one of the if not the smoothest online in a fighting game beautiful animation, great gameplay, and the low specs it has. You see new people trying out the game constantly, be it the Skullheart* or Steam forums, as well as in the SG LATAM community. We get people who are new all the time and it also helps the abundance of helpful people and events that are run online by the community. Things like Skullbats, Monday Night Blockbusters, SG Brazil weeklies, and even our own "Trifulca en el Ring" series just goes to show that SG was never or ever will be dead. You'll always have people to play with, you just gotta look for them.

VA: With the last patch finally out, do you feel the game has finally reached its ideal state? Or are there things to feel still need worked on?

Andre: Well considering how Mike Z is, he will always find something to work on, but as it stands, the game is really balanced to the point where tier list are pretty universaly (sic) thought as a matter of opinion, and even then there isn't that much of a diff (sic) from the bottom to the top. Considering SG is pretty unique with it's (sic) focus on resets, I think in it's (sic) current state it will pass the test of time just fine.

VA: What do you think Skullgirls' lasting legacy will be?

Andre: That a community and it's game can last and grow as long as they keep pouring love into it. There's only so many big tournaments for SG (biggest being Combo Breaker) since the whole EVO ordeal of 2013, and barely losing to Smash SG hasn't really been a mainstream fighting game at all. Which to my eyes only makes more impressive what it has been able to acomplish (sic) thanks to the developer support and the constant effort by the community to run events; making tech, helping the devs find bugs, the community being so inclusive. I think SG will still be played many years from now, and until the eventual SG 2, I doubt the constant income of players will slow down anytime soon.

VA: Finally, do you have any advice for people still timid about getting into Skullgirls?

Andre: Well SG is a fighting game, and like any of them, it's not easy to get to certain competitive level. That's the first fact that you have to accept but there's so many resources and people willing to help: on Discord and the Skullheart forums as well as groups targeted towards new players that you'll have people around your level to play against. A lot of people get discouraged because they jump online first thing, and they get massacred since SG is a fast game, and also focused heavily on resets. Even people with past fighting game experience have a hard time when they first play against experienced people, but it really doesn't take that long to get the hang of it, and SG having such an amazing training mode also helps. To sum it up, I know it may seem overwhelming now, but there's so many people willing to help you, and it really is worth it to form (sic) part of such an amazing community.
