What got you to pursue a career in history?

I was interested in learning more about history since childhood. I was interested in pursuing biotech as well but could not go forward with it so chose my second favorite subject. I also wanted to get involved in a bit of social work so it also helps in that aspect. Learning history gives a fresh perspective on the sociopolitical scenario of the nation.
