Listening to a podcast about pine gap aka the us spy base in alice springs and even though I already knew about it, still it really just galls me
#started a secret spy military base here while selling the idea it was a space base and even the prime minister didnt know really what was#happening there#except for when they went teehee you guys might maybe be at risk of getting nuked Whoops#and bc gough whitlam started asking questions and demanding an answer#oh and what do you know? the most progressive prime minister we've ever had got toppled from parliament#we could have gone full socialist... we could have stopped participating in wars......#and fuck all anyone even talks about it !!!
