I thought about how the Hashiras (or whatever characters you aren’t tired of writing for) would be with an taller female partner/crush ?

If it would bother them etc…

I‘m 1,79m and since that’s taller than a lot of them i sometimes feel a little weird when reading fanfics or whatever and they often describe the reader as small/petite/short.

• When an announcement of a new Hashira settling in the corps, Giyu was simply neutral about it. Just his emotionless, stoic self.

• Seeing the said new Hashira during the semiannual Hashira meeting, he did not expect to meet someone his height.

• In truth, he was used to females significantly shorter than him, so he wondered if your family were extremely tall as well.

• For a while, Giyu was quite literally eyeing you. You were ethereal in his eyes, your height was an amazing feat for Giyu, it made it an eye candy for him.

• Though his deep insecurities knew better than to selfishly keep you to himself, however it seemed you had different plans. Recently, Giyu noticed that you've been slowly but noticeably interacting with him.

• Not that he's complaining.

• As you two bonded, the stronger the connection became. You had found out his own vulnerabilities as well as vice versa, and you two often get paired during missions, so that's a plus in bonding.

• Your height doesn't bother him at all, in fact he finds it quite charming. The way your eyes will constantly meet and not having to adjust his head or his eyes, it just perfectly clicks.

⋆˚✿˖° Himejima Gyomei

• Oh, I doubt your height would compare to his. He'd honestly find you small nonetheless.

• He was delighted to know yet another member of the corps has been promoted to the Hashira title, knowing yet another person was determined to save humanity heals his heart.

• Gyomei.. I have a feeling capturing his heart would be complicated, but not impossible. I just have a feeling your personality should be motherly like him naturally being fatherly.

• Where Gyomei finds you fitting for his standards, he will be very subtle about it. However, the difference in the treatment is also quite clear.

• Secretly, he wraps his prayer beads around your neck as a necklace to feel your overall height around him, and I can tell you he was very pleased that you were significantly taller than some females.

• As the usual, your height does not bother him at all. He'd be quite glad to have yet another tall person around him.

• Oh he is ECSTATIC to hear a new Hashira member, he probably prepared a bento box just for you when the semiannual Hashira meeting commences!

• Oh boy was he amazed and intimidated by your height; it was shocking to see someone as tall as him, if not taller!

• With his welcoming and warm personality, you got along with him within seconds! Like his breathing style, you both had a spark and just connected just like that!

• Kyojuro loves giving you some of his bento boxes that he made. He made sure to make extras for you as well! He says, quote on quote: "You should eat more so you can become much more taller than I am! Haha!"

• This man has absolute no problem with your height either, he loves patting your shoulders as a subtle way of praising you, and he loves tapping your elbow with his during missions as a little warning since you're both probably the same height.

⋆˚✿˖° Kanroji Mitsuri

• Oh she was so happy to see yet another female Hashira was in the corps, seeing a female promoted to the Hashira title was so uncommon!

• "Oooo!! I will totally befriend her! This is all so exciting!!"

• As the affectionate Love Hashira she is, meeting her was quite overwhelming. The sudden exposure to large energy was shocking at first, but you soon got used to it.

• When Mitsuri fully registered that you were taller than her, she let out a loud audible gasp and her mouth goes agape.

• Mitsuri noticed she was unattractively gaping, she covers her mouth and blinks twice. It was a shocker, seriously! The way she has to physically turn her head to look at your eyes!

• It made her feel reeaaaallyyyy flustered, but she absolutely ADORES you. She always looks forward to your occasional meetup & missions when paired up together, she was originally thriving with life but with you added to the mix + her little crush on you? Her life is BOOMING.

• Your height? She's head over heels for it. No other necessary words.

⋆˚✿˖° Tokito Muichiro ( reader is the same age as him )

• Pre Swordsmith Village Arc, Muichiro didn't really pay attention to you. Like at all. Sure, he'd look your way and stare for a good few seconds then he'd walk away.

• You ALWAYS found him weird, but learning his backstory, you couldn't judge the boy for having rough memory. He didn't choose to be that way nor asked to experience such traumatic event.

• Since Muichiro is someone close to your age and the Master personally request that you talk with Muichiro, you decided to walk up to him.

• Well things didn't work out according to your plan, since he blatantly rejected your offer to be friends. Well, he walked away, didn't reject per se, but it stung.

• But you knew how Muichiro was from past experiences with him, he struggled with genuine emotions, and you understand that, so you chose to be patient with him.

• Except sometimes it was irritating.

• Post Swordsmith Village arc and you managed to secure a proper relationship with him, he remembered you miraculously!

• He was pretty soft spoken with you too and he smiled a lot around your presence, so that threw you off.

• During this duration, Muichiro had always acknowledged your height, genuinely looking irritated that he always has to look up JUST to speak to you.

• While it doesn't bother him per se, he would just really appreciate if he wouldn't get a neck cramp from constantly looking up at you just to form a proper conversation with you.

⋆˚✿˖° Iguro Obanai

• Well we have mister grumpers in the club /j

• He wasn't TOO ecstatic to hear that yet another woman was joining the Hashiras, two was already enough. You can blame him, his past was rough.

• it really doesn't help your height was unbelievably tall in his perspective, it somewhat reminded him of his past in a way, not a pleasant thought, he's aware.

• Though after seeing and observing your moves, it seemed you weren't that bad. To him, you had pure intentions like any other Hashiras, but still refused to speak to you.

• The first few interactions with him was just him speaking to you in a sharp and stern manner, it honestly made you feel intimidated and unwanted, but oh well.

• Kyojuro informed you one day that Obanai struggles with women due to his past and kindly asked that you take it easy with him. You knew there was more to it, but you didn't want to pry any further as it wasn't in Kyojuro's place to speak.

• So, as asked, you decided to soften up your approach with him but also make it seem that you're ecstatic. even when you're quite literally intimidated to your core.

• Things just escalated from there, it took a while for Obanai to actually be gentle towards you, but at least you gained his respect the few days you interacted with him.

• Your height doesn't bother him, he's just simply neutral about it after learning you as a person and your personality. It makes you seem strong, and he genuinely likes it that way.

⋆˚✿˖° Shinazugawa Sanemi

• Similarly to Muichiro, he didn't really pay any mind to you. Yes, even with your extraordinary height, he didn't really care.

• Honestly just trying to get a proper conversation is tough, what more if you want to capture his attention? Sanemi is a tough nut to crack, after all.

• Luckily for you, you were also pretty stubborn headed! And you genuinely wanted to befriend Sanemi.

• Many, many attempts has been made. I mean many. That man is so angry all the time, it leaves you baffled sometimes. But that won't stop you, would it?

• Inevitably, Sanemi warmed up to you. Unwillingly, in his words. He noticed your company wasn't so bad, and you were quite the attractive one.

• In many and similar cases, no one in the corps was as tall as you. In the current era, females are known to be short, so he took that feat or yours in mind.

• Your height doesn't bother or irritate him, similarly to Obanai, he's just neutral about it. He's able to speak with you eye to eye easily otherwise he didn't care.

⋆˚✿˖° Kocho Shinobu

• She was quite happy and satisfied that yet another member was promoted into a Hashira, hearing someone that's willing to risk their lives for the safety of others brings her heart and mind at peace.

• Meeting you, she somewhat felt safe. Perhaps because your height reminded you of her older sister and your aura was comforting, it was admirable in her eyes.

• In a few months, Shinobu was greatly close to you, choosing to open up about her tragic past and her sense of hatred for a specific demon, you understood her rage and grief.

• There was something about you that Shinobu couldn't explain, you were so approachable for her and she feels extremely secured as long as you're around. It was an odd feeling Shinobu is experiencing, indeed.

• Shinobu knew she didn't need any protection, she knew she was capable of herself. But asking for help isn't so bad either, whether it'd be emotionally or mentally.

• Your height is something Shinobu loves yet envies. She envies you for being blessed with your height and she feels so small compared to you, yet she loves your height because it just makes you so eye-catching, it makes you stand out.

⋆˚✿˖° Uzui Tengen

• Oh we already know he's super excited to hear about the said new Hashira.

• An odd ball, he was. Constantly talking about being flamboyant and being flashy.. Your first impression on him was amusing to say the least.

• He was really respectful though, so that's additional points to your already amusing first impression. He even complimented your height, saying it's an attractive height for a lady.

• Missions with him felt like a breeze, with his carefree personality, it just feels like you're both playing some game with the demons. It's also quite cool he can easily blend in the shadows, so that's yet another additional points.

• Meeting his wives were even CRAZIER, you didn't expect him to literally THREE wives?! But you three soon became super duper close.

• Your height doesn't bother him at all, with his height? You're still small in his eyes, just a few inches taller than the usual ladies. Similarly with many, he finds your height very, very attractive.

I woke up to your post about the stolen story and I’ve been trying to find the right words. I write too (privately) and my stories are very close to my heart and I’m very defensive about them. So I can only imagine that’s even worse when you actually publish your work and make yourself vulnerable. Still not sure I’ve managed to put my thoughts, but here we go:

First of all I want to tell you how sorry I feel for what a night/evening you must have had. I cannot imagine how much it must hurt to realise that people try to profit from and steal something that you have put and keep putting so much work, love, passion and dedication into. (English is not my first language so I hope I’m making sense here) I can only imagine that it feels like someone is using you and taking something away from you that is close to your heart and I‘m so sorry someone made you feel this way.

I also went through all my bookmarked stories on AO3 from the past two years to check if there might be some of the „similar“ stories you mentioned. Obviously I don’t know what stories you’re talking about. There were a few stories with a similar character dynamic, but nothing as blatantly copied as the one from your post. But (and I don’t know if that’ll make it less painful and disappointing for you): there are very very VERY few stories that I go back semi-regularly to re-read. There are even fewer stories that I go back to when I have a bad day. That are even less stories that made me tear up and keep making me tear up when I go back to them. And there are even fewer stories that are just open as a tab, just in case I want to read them again. But most of these very few stories are your stories.

If I want to cry and be sad and happy at the same time, I go back to the amnesia fic.

If I want to deep dive into Lestappen feelings and laugh and cry at the same time, I go back to Long Live.

If I’m in the need of some laughter and banter with great smut on top, I go back to like a Vapor

If I feel angsty and want to feel comfortable and distract myself with some good smut with feelings, I go back to the Warming Verse

If I want to read great character dynamics and studies, banter and unhinged smut, I go back to lestappen + guest (although I sometimes skip Carlos, depending on how annoying he is in real life…)

And the list goes on!

They can try to copy your character interpretation, steal your dialogue and write stories that are similar to yours, but they will never get this. They‘ll never be able to get these feelings out of people, because it will never feel as real, BECAUSE A COPY CAN NEVER BE AS GOOD AS THE OG!

thank you so so so so much for spending the time to write this to me. i can't even tell you what it means to me. it definitely made me cry a little bit lmfaoooooo. i'm so glad that you enjoy my work. i really am. it's why i do it.

writing is a selfish hobby in a lot of ways because i'm clearly writing what i want to read, and i'm doing it for me, but i'm also very much doing it for you guys. i like writing things that you all enjoy and that can mean something to you, and i'm SO glad you get it. and that my fics stick with you so much.

seeing that somebody had stolen my work was... an interesting wave of emotions for me. i was clearly angry, i think everyone can see that in my response to them because i'm not one to anger-respond to things on this platform or on AO3. i'm pretty good at holding my tongue and bitching about it offline to my gf or my friends. i don't like to engage in anon hate (which is why i never publish them. i think every creator who has a following similar to mine receives anon hate and i'm not immune from it, i just refuse to publish it.) and i don't like to engage with anybody who's intentions are not good.

i want my little corner of the internet to always be a safe space for everyone. i want everyone to have a good time. to be happy, to love each other, to feel like they can come to me with things they might not be able to say out loud. i never want that to change, which is why i try really hard NOT to respond to haters or other bad things that happen around my fics.

but this time, i couldn't be silent. and i won't apologize for it.

before i posted my repsonse, i thought about going back and making it more... professional. taking out the "fucks" or whatever. i can write a corporate email like you wouldn't believe. i have "fuck around and find out" tattooed on me, sure, but ya girl is 33 years old. i'm a writer. i can destroy you with my words in a way that is so dignified and HR-approved, you won't even realize i've ruined your life until the end of it lmfaooooo.

but i think at the end of the day, in this case, i was just pushed too far lmfao. i can only stay silent for so long. and it felt good to let my raw emotions out without censoring how angry i was. because fuck yeah my feelings were hurt. they're still a bit hurt. i'm confused why somebody who claims to be a fan of mine, who follows my work here and on ao3, who has supported me and read my fics, would do something like this to me.

but i don't want my blog to become a negative space. i don't want this to be the only thing we ever talk about again on here. but i think it is important that we talk about it right now because it's a real thing that's happening outside of my works. lots of creators are getting their art, gifs, fics, manips, etc stolen and not getting credit for their work.

and that's just... not okay.

as a fandom, and as a society, we need to be better. tumblr and ao3 are an escape from the real world. it's a place you can go and be free, and happy, and goofy, and silly, and--frankly--embarrassing about the things you like. there is no reason any of us should be stealing someone else's art in any capacity. because if we do? if we let this continue? it's not fun anymore. and what the FUCK is the point if it's not fun?

this is not our real life. this fandom does not define who i am as a person, and it doesn't define who you are either. we all have real lives outside of this space. if we keep plagiarizing each other's art and sending anon hate and being cunts about everything, we will ruin all the good things we have here.

we need to recognize other creator's hard work and thank them for it.

appreciate their work and get inspired by it, without stealing it. make it your own. make it DIFFERENT. don't put the same quotes, don't put the same characters, don't put them in the exact same scenario as your inspiration. don't have them sitting the exact same way as the characters in your inspo were!!! BE BETTER.

I loooove your art so much!!! It‘s beautiful! I‘m a new slam dunk fan (only 70-ish chapters in or so) but I really liked Yohei before … and then your art made me love him even more!! I hope this isn‘t a weird question, I‘m genuinely just curious (and I hope to get sucked into the ship even more hah) but what do you like about Yohana the most? (from my point of view, still early in the manga, seeing how Yohei tries his best to keep Hanamichi out of trouble, trying to keep the thugs off his back and all, thats just … GAH!!!! So cute!!!! Yohei is peak husband material isn‘t he??) ((Also, if you don‘t mind, don you like Ryota/Hanamichi as well? I think they are so cute … sharing one brain cell basically (again, from my point of view, things may change maybe? idk, anyway)) Thank you for sharing your amazing artworks with the world!!! They make me sooooo happy, just, thank you so so much!! I‘m currently struggling a lot with everything irl and when I feel sad or overwhelmed I look at your art and it always makes me smile <3

Ryohana was my first ship and I made a few drawings for them before I was fully absorbed by Yohana LOL. Reading SD, it’s just so funny and cute how quick they get along when Hanamichi is usually reluctant to trust other people’s judgement, and Ryota is like an older brother to him. It’s even more endearing to me that Ryota has a little sister, so I imagine that he thinks of Hanamichi as a little brother too. I love seeing their dynamic whether it’s platonic or romantic!

I think it’s after I reread SD a few times is when I started liking Yohana, (also thanks to Chidentsurusai who was one of the few people that made Ryohana and Yohana before SD got its renaissance)

Like you said, Yohei has his back. He’s just so attentive without even trying. He notices the subtle changes in Hanamichi’s mood, or guess whatever Hanamichi’s thinking. I also like that he always makes fun of Hanamichi but when it’s a group of guys making fun of Hanamichi he will not stand by it (Let’s just say he doesn’t like it when he’s not the one causing Hanamichi’s frustrations 🤭)

It’s also interesting to me that Yohei seems to dgaf about following school dress codes, listening to class, respecting the teachers, etc, but he’s willing to abide by the rules when it benefits his best friend.

I also love that said best friend is dense. Hanamichi is a big sap that writes love letters to confess his feeings, his dream is to hold hands while walking home with the person he likes. There’s just so many possibilities when your protag is a dumb little yearner 😙 (fact his love for basketball also outgrew his feelings is also interesting to me, who knows what else he realizes 🫢⁉️)

ok i‘m going to be honest I was a little hesitant to read with your hands tied because I‘m really not that into strict d/s dynamics (I‘m either a switch girly or vanilla) but! I‘ve read some of your answers to anons where you described your views and the way you write smut in which d/s dynamics are present so I wanted to give it a try!

and I was not disappointed!!

everything felt really safe and so full of love which made reading this enjoyable!

also, it‘s just a little detail and idk if you did it intentionally, but when spencer said he wanted reader to really use their voice, let him know if they wanted it slower or deeper, I just felt really happy about the slower.

because usually people like to use faster and/or deeper, and there is nothing wrong with that, but it‘s such a comforting detail? idk if it makes sense but anyways really loved it!!

also something I noticed about myself (you can skip over this part, I‘m gonna just yap) is that the one time spencer used ,such a good girl‘ it felt..degrading to me? and I know it‘s used as praise and like factually I know that but somehow the use of good girl (not always, more a 3/5 times kinda way) it feels degrading to me, which I don‘t understand because it’s literal textbook praise. and it‘s not because of the way you‘ve written it, I think you‘re gonna be one of the only writers I‘ll ever read softdom!spencer from, but yea that just left me a bit confused because nothing in this fic is even slightly degrading, it‘s full of trust, care and love.

so!!! that use of "such a good girl" is in direct reference to reader's begging and manners in bed, so while he's praising her for her manners, it could be perceived as degradation because asking him for something (sex) and he's basically praising her for being horny. but as the writer, i meant it as more of a reference to him praising her for following his direction when he asked her to be vocal. also, i usually think of degradation as being much harsher, but i can understand where you're coming from.

the only smut that i probably wouldn't write any aftercare for is like very fluffy vanilla smut because i think where there are any kinks or dom/sub dynamics involved there should be explicit aftercare, it shouldn't be implied

tomorrow's fic is so much fun and much more vanilla!! most of my margotober/kinktober will be fairly vanilla!

SCREAMING, CRYING, THROWING UP because of the last chapter of the lady‘s laundry—

the plot, the slowburn, the tension, the way you portrayed donna (or literally any character) and the simple fact that this story is so beautifully written from beginning to the end will forever make it so special and dear to me.

i don‘t mean to ramble but i remember the day i came across this story; only two chapters were released and seeing it now complete makes me feel nostalgic in a way i can’t describe and i‘m just so so so proud of you for finishing this amazing story. i usually don‘t write something like this and i don‘t think i ever will again because i‘m not really good with words and the fact that there are probably tons of mistakes (since english is not my first language) makes it even more embarrassing but i just couldn‘t leave this story without telling you how much love i have for it.

anyway, i‘m done now lmao— and i wish you the very best for your future projects. whatever it‘ll be, i‘ll be here.

Yesterday I just took my meds and went to sleep cause I had something planned for today (the timing is always terrible, because I usually keep myself awake until it‘s basically morning again whenever I feel that bad, but I really needed that sleep)

I finally did something I was looking forwards to all week (archery), and while I sometimes had a bit of a hard time (I have trouble concentrating, especially since the people I did it with always started telling stories when it was my turn to shoot, and it was on a meadow and in the forest which is a little bit of a problem for one of my phobias, but I managed to do it :D)

My question is- how long does it take you to write each chapter?

hi!! thank you so much, i‘m glad you are enjoying my writing!!

it really depends; some chapters are really fun and fast to write bc sometimes i just KNOW what i want to write and it flows pretty much by itself — but other times it can be really slow bc im unsure or i hate the way it flows and i have to weak it or lose interest. coupled with the fact that im also studying on the side, it can get a little too hectic and im not one to really rush my writing or else you can really tell in the quality.

In short; i guess i do take my time!! for one, i really want to make sure the chapters have substance and care to them bc my audience can pick up on that, and for 2, i like taking my time with it!! i like really immersing myself in the story and craft the scenery wherein the characters can really unfold with their personality and the experiences that influenced them to be and behave that way.

while i am happy and glad you enjoy my writing, i ask everyone to please be patient; a lot of writers really just do this for fun and as a hobby, we do this for FREE. and i‘d like my audience to also take their time when reading; enjoy it! savour it! i love it when my readers read my stories as a whole, connecting the chapters and experience as pleasant storytelling that they can emotionally connect to. thats the joy of it all!!

So let’s start with well actually more than just a scene it’s the way mike looks at El for example in the first episode of season three after mike sang a song and El cut him of , or at the Snowball when they were dancing . For me it really seems like Mike is in love with El because I don’t think that’s how you look at your friends

Second scene is the „ I need you to trust me „ scene In season 3 . Mike and El are really close to each other and even if they are not together In that scene it also seems to be a romantic moment . And Mike also looks at Max in that scene because he doesn’t know what to do and because he doesn’t want to screw things up with El again ( at least that’s what I think )

Next scene is in season 1 when El disappeared and Mike gets angry and starts destroying her sleeping place in his basement. he starts calling himself stupid I think and we know that „only love makes you crazy and stupid“ It’s just like Will ( who is in love with Mike ) calls himself stupid because of Mike (and because of thinking he could be a kid forever ) . So Will destroys castle Byers because he’s in love with Mike and Mike destroys El’s sleeping place because he’s in love with El.

Next scene is the crazy together scene again. Mike said he is going crazy because of seeing El all the time and as I said before „ only love makes you crazy ….“

Next scene is the „ you are the most important thing to me in the world scene“ ( I don’t really unterstand why so many people think this scene is cute ,it makes me feel uncomfortable because right after Mike is saying this El just says that hopper is right about them spending to much time together and she isn’t even flattert or happy about his comment) Mike basically admits being in love with her in that scene and I don’t get why the duffers would add this scene if Mike isn’t in love with El

Next thing is actually social media in general the official stranger things accounts are hyping Mileven up a lot ( idk maybe straight bait ) for example the duffers have postet something on twitter i don’t really remember but I think it was a picture of Mike and El kissing and the caption says „ In love“ . Also since the last teaser has dropped they liked a lot of tweets about mileven.

Next and last thing is teaser 4 . El has a photo of Mike in her room again and the whole teaser is basically El writing a love letter to mike and the stranger writers account has somehow confirmed that . For example they liked a few tweets in which people were saying things like „ mileven love letters „

1. The opening s3 kiss and Mike & El at the snowball

Yes, he smiles at El in both scenarios. He also does some very *sus* things during both scenes.

Whole long analysis on the opening kiss in s3, but to sum it up, straight men do not give their gf's drawings by their male bffs to stare at when they kiss her to remind her of him, and they also don't refuse to touch their gf's at all costs.

At the snowball, when she shows up, he doesn't not look ecstatic, he looks shocked:

I don't see a whole lot of "head over heels for you" love on his face in those shots.

When they dance, he's also partially projecting his feelings for Will onto El, which gives him a way to express his feelings in a socially acceptable way.

I have some in-depth analysis of the snowball here and here which go into a lot more detail :)

2. Mike destroying El's fort (s1 ep6)

--He doesn't actually say "stupid" in this scene like Will does when he destroys castle byers. He is silent the entire scene.

Mike destroys El's fort after the whole 'She's the monster, she's moving the compass needle, she doesn't want us to find Will' debacle. Mike is angry at her because she gave him false hope that she could help him find Will and get him back, and he feels like he has been fooled. He is using her to get what he wants, which is to get Will back. That's why he destroys the fort, not because he is love with her. He is upset she didn't fulfill what he needed her to do.

Later in this episode a few minutes later he calls her a "weapon" and says "do you seriously want to fight the demogoron with your wristrcoket?" and "we're no use to Will if we're dead", to Lucas when he tries to convince him they need El to find Will, to get him back.

Right before he gets up and starts kicking the fort, he's holding a Rubik's cube, which we see in Will's bedroom in s2. This is very much a scene about how much he loves Will, not El.

3. "You're the most important thing in the world to me"

For this line to make sense, we need to understand 2 things:

4. The crazy together scene (again)

I don't think he is just referring to seeing El here, I think he's talking about other aspects of his life as well. And in reference to him seeing El making him feel crazy, it could be that he doesn't feel what he knows he is supposed to for her, and that makes him realize how he feels about Will more, making him feel crazy about how he's feeling for Will, and how he doesn't feel the same for El. After Mike says that, Will also says he feels like he's going crazy, and we know he isn't talking about girl. He doesn't actually mention her name with the word crazy here at all, He says "sometimes I feel like I still see her. I don't know sometimes I feel like I'm going crazy" Will: "me too". When Mike says "Hey if we're both going crazy, we'll go crazy together right?" it indicates they're going crazy in the same way, (which wouldn't be possible if Mike said he was going crazy for El, but he doesn't say that) because they are in love with each other, and also helps to explain that he isn't saying he is "crazy" for El here. When he asks Will if he'll go crazy with him, it definitively tells us he isn't in love with El romantically, and he is in love with Will romantically.

5. The social media accounts "hyping up" Mileven after 004.

I did a separate post about this here, explaining some of the "pro-mike & el" tweets the stranger things account re-tweeted when 004 came out. The tweets don't so much as him them up as they do just acknowledge they existed, and many of them are actually digs at their relationship if we analyze closely & understand the subtext.

6. the 004 teaser & el's letter.

--El never actually says "I love you" in the letter, that we get to hear at least.

--I don't think Mike's feelings are reciprocated at all in the letter. This is very much an un-requited Mike & El moment.

--We may have a Wayne's World situation here with Mike & El not being on the same page about their break-up. El may not realize they are still broken up because they never officially got back together, and Mike does not know how to respond to this, because he knows they are broken up. Wayne's World is also on the st4 vsf list which is hugely significant, and also indicates we may see Mike snap at El for being so clingy when they aren't even dating anymore. In Wayne's World, Wayne and Stacy date, then break up:

Stacy: Just because we broke up doesn't mean we're not still dating.

Wayne: No, actually thats exactly what it means .

--Mike's shown in front of an open closet when he's shown during El's letter in 004, with an "one way/this way" sign pointing straight into the closet. He's also shown wearing the same color shirt that he wears in s3 when he & El are broken up and he cannot stop staring at Will, which is also very reminiscent of the gay men's flag colors, and his room is also a shade of blue on that flag. Will is also wearing the same color shirt in the teaser, that he was in s3 when Mike & El were broken up and Mike was always staring at him. That boy is gay. LOL

It also makes sense she has a photo of Mike in her room in 004, He saved her LIFE, of course she is attached to him! He means a lot to her and always will even if they aren't dating. They are very good friends. He was the first person to treat her like a human, so it doesn't undermine byler at all for her to have a picture of him in her room. I honestly wouldn't expect her not too. I think the most important thing to remember when looking at scenes of Mike & El compared to byler, is that Mike & El's friendship/bond doesn't undermine byler being endgame in anyway.

I really enjoy your writing, the way you portray processes we didn’t get so see is so great and fills a gap in my heart that was left by druck’s mediocre writing. Thank you for your art 💙

I just saw another anon’s comment about Isi missing Sascha and Ep 6-8 and even though you said you were fine with the clips, I wanted to ask what you thought about the whole „Isi‘s friends nudge him into Sascha’s direction“-thing.

Because I thought those talks with Kieu My and Lou were bad, so much lacking context. I‘m so glad you gave it some context in your version (earlier dialogue about it, Isi having an earlier realization). Yet I wanted to know what you thought about them.

You said you had a writing plan already, so sorry for asking, but maybe if you didn’t include it already… I wonder how Sascha and Isi spent the night at the queer youth club. After Isi avoided the space, how did they experience it once they dared to be there? And how did Sascha introduce her to his queer life, that he supposedly had but never invited Isi to? What were they talking about? How did they handle the whole situation of being inbetween friends and lovers at an unknown place? Awkward silence, careful touches or euphoric dancing…?

it is filling a gap for me, too; and I actually find that it's occupying more and more space - I tend to write myself into new thoughts, so I feel that now I understand these characters (the versions of them in my head) better than I did two weeks ago - which is nice.

... belatedly putting the rest under read more.

let me be very clear: I was fine with episode 7, I am very much not fine with episode 8. I can see what the writers were going for, but I think they were very clumsy with it. there was more to Isi's talks with Kieu My and Lou than Sascha. in the clip with Kieu My, we saw Isi struggling to find his balance (he was still lost) and giving up on the rehearsal after he'd failed again (Isi's consistent character flaw is avoiding anything that's difficult, usually conversations, to the detriment of his relationships with others). it was a nice way of showing the audience where Isi is at. I liked that he asked Kieu My if he was a bad person; it is a bit dramatic and childish, which is how I see Isi. I don't like Kieu My’s answer. I think this season does disservice to her, in general. Kieu My is someone with very high standards for herself, and it would make sense if she had regrets about her own treatment of Ava - it should've been the subtext of the dance team interactions; so I would expect her to take the question seriously. not to tell Isi that yes, he's a horrible person and he should grovel, but I would expect - well anything but her telling them it's silly. so I think we should have a more serious conversation about what can you do after you genuinely hurt someone you care about (this doesn't even have to be about Ava; Kieu My could think of Fatou here). we should not have Kieu My teasing Isi about Sascha, because the only time we saw them together was the "thoughts off" clip, which did nothing to explore Sascha's interactions with Isi's other friends (I have to say I don't like it at all; Sascha's entrance doesn't work for me). it makes no sense!

in the second clip, Isi fixes his relationship with Lou - which had to happen, because she's an important person to him, and he had to take responsibility for his part in the Free Weedy fiasco. they reconcile; we hear that Isi doesn't want to reconcile with Constantin, and then we have Lou asking Isi about their crush. I pointed it out once that it seems significant that the conversation happens under Lou's car - like. we are seeing the insides of things, we are getting real! (relevant: Lou opens the car - again, to expose its insides - in the background when Isi and Constantin talk in the last episode...). we also have a moment of Isi being distinctly unimpressed by Lou (he thinks cars are a little bit gross and boring) and her by him (she does not get his thing with plants). so we have the contrast of this first crush, which has now totally worn off, with Isi discovering her real feelings for Sascha... only they seem to have been already discovered. which is really confusing. as everyone said, Lou should've said friend, and make it into a call-back to episode 2. so, for my own sanity, I mostly ignore it and keep to the opinion that Isi properly realized what they'd felt only when they'd almost kissed Sascha. this line from my fic - He’ll tell you he’ll do something, but he’ll do whatever he feels like. And he won’t even know what it is until he does it - was me writing meta on Isi more than a character line. so, this is what I think!

don't be sorry! I like plans, but it's not such a huge deal. when I sat to write today I realized I would have to split the next chapter in two, so the count went up again... I am obviously going to write a Rainbow Night follow-up; right now I feel like it will be the most important chapter. it's so crucial! I really enjoyed the associated social media content, so that is the vibe I'll be going for. I think that both of them were too euphoric and then too worn out (thinking here of Isi sleeping in Sascha's stories...) to have a proper conversation at that point. & they were surrounded by people all the time. Sascha in general, I think, communicates his big feelings with a few days' delay, if at all. so I think it'd take him until the middle of next week to say anything.

it is very interesting to think of Sascha as more or less settled in his identity as a queer person when Isi doesn't know what dysphoria is... unfortunately I think it's because the writers wanted to avoid an obviously queer character falling for their straight best friend and decided to do the opposite of that, but I do my best not to see it that way. oh, actually; to refer to my fic again - I mentioned Sascha coming out in a roundabout way, I had that written out. so my personal headcanon is that when he and Isi were becoming friends again in the lockdown (& please remember that it was season six Isi, who's asked Fatou if Kieu My was a top), Isi teased him quite a lot (you're a catch, why don't you have a girlfriend - or a boyfriend) & after two months of realizations he didn't share with anyone, Sascha said it was bad timing with the lockdown again because he'd just worked up his courage to go to a queer youth group and now he'd have to start the process all over again. to which Isi said "what - you're - what," and then punched him in the arm and laughed. so that's how I see it - Sascha'd thought about it, and then he committed.

31. Pulling away from a kiss, whispering words of love against each other’s lips.

Laurent knew he could be cold, unapproachable and entirely too harsh. He was aware of his flaws, aware of his actions and reactions most of the time too and, at the same time, he knew he had settled in the years of his relationship with Damianos.

He liked it. Damen gave him a solid foundation with his unconditional love and affection, helped him rediscover that little part of himself that had died with Auguste at Marlas. He also loved the knowledge that for once in his life he didn’t have to look over his shoulder all the time and make every single decision alone because he had no idea who could be trusted.

“Love, look at me,“ Damen’s voice was soft but insistent and Laurent felt his gaze snap up immediately. A small shudder wracked his body as he saw the tender smile on the sensual mouth of his husband.

“Good. Very good, love. You look so beautiful.“ Damen lowered his head and pressed his lips to Laurent’s collarbone. He peppered small kisses from one shoulder to the other and then all over his chest. Damen nibbled at the skin of his right pectoral and then bit his nipple lightly. It made Laurent’s back arch and a breathless gasp tumble over his lips.

His husband had teased him mercilessly for the last three hours. It was the sweetest torture consisting of fleeting touches, soft kisses and tender praise and Laurent couldn’t think anymore— he didn’t want to think anymore. He just wanted to drown in all the attention and love he could get his hands on and Damen had it all in spades.

“Do you have the slightest idea how wonderful you are, Laurent?“ Damen asked him while looking in his eyes and he could only shake his head. The hand on his hip was utterly distracting.

“You are perfect. I don’t know how a person so wonderful can exist. You’re so strong and intelligent and beautiful, inside and out.“ Damen kissed his way up Laurent’s chest, his neck and finally his lips while his thumb rubbed small circles entirely too close to Laurent’s cock to be anything else but maddening. However, the blond didn’t protest, didn’t complain or demand, but just took all of Damen’s affection, soaked it up like a sponge.

“Thank you,“ he breathed as he tried to convey with his eyes that he was not talking about the compliments. Damen rubbed his nose against Laurent’s cheek and rumbled, “there is absolutely nothing you have to thank me for, love. I’m only telling you the truth and that’s something you’ll always have from me.“

“But still, thank you,“ Laurent repeated as his eyes fluttered closed and Damen bit his neck hard enough that there would be a bruise for sure. The king of Akielos was a possessive man and everybody knew it by now. Laurent indulged him only too willingly after all.

“Thank you, my love, for giving me the opportunity to love you.“

Laurent knew there was something amusing behind these words but his brain was too sluggish to deduce the meaning fast enough for an immediate answer, and when he finally got his thoughts together again Damen was already kissing his way down his abs.

“I didn‘t give you the opportunity, dear, you gave me no choice,“ he teased, or tried to tease, but failed due to Damen suckling on the joint of his thigh and hip.

“Well, I am very charming.“

“I‘m sure,“ Laurent replied as steadily as he could.

“Just ask my husband, he‘d agree with me and he‘s the smartest person in the world, so he should know.“ Damen skimmed his teeth along the inside of Laurent‘s thigh and he wanted to press further into the touch and pull back at the same time.

“He must be the smartest person in the world if he married you.“

This had the desired effect; Damen slid his whole body back up, the movement one long tease and kissed him again with a groan.

“You‘re driving me mad, love. I want you so badly.“

“Then have me.“

Another kiss and when Damen pulled back this time, it was to the words, “I love you,“ falling from his lips. Laurent couldn‘t help himself, he smiled.

“I love you too.“

as a reader, i cannot tell you how often i went through your entire masterlist but i just couldn’t help myself, your works have always been my favourite and i thought to myself „man, it really doesn’t get better than hazel‘s works“

so, i decided to reach out on anon and wow, you were always so nice and kind to me, coming to your blog and your asks made me feel safe and comfortable; i didn’t interact with a lot of creators back then because i was still a bit anxious about it but i eventually became on of your emoji anons because i liked talking to you so much >///<

as a writer, your works and interactions have encouraged me to start writing again and to share my works; the thought crossed my mind a couple of times last year and when i told my best friend, she was like „do it“ and i actually did

Hi Pia!! All these writing questions are making me wonder, do you have any other fandoms you'd write fic for right now?

I came across your stuff thanks to Pasiflora and I'm currently making my way through Eversion after having read Stuck on the Puzzle and Beast. Thanks so much for sharing your writing with us, it's making this horrible year a lot better for me and many others 🧡

It’s funny, I’m feeling really quiet on the fanfiction front.

I think it’s partly because Falling Falling Stars *feels* like fanfiction to me, so it’s sort of feeding that need. I’m sure as soon as FFS is finished, I will launch back into fanfiction, but right now FFS is like...the thing that feels like it lmao.

I’m also not really deeply in any fandoms right now. I’m sort of like, floating around watching anime and shows I like, but nothing’s really grabbing me. I wanted to write for like Sk8 and Jujutsu Kaisen for five seconds, but that floated away as soon as the series ended. I’d like to finish my one or two shot for Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu, but I don’t have the spare time right now. I’ve contemplated that though.

I usually need like a ‘hooky fic’ (i.e. to play hooky on) while I’m writing something more serious and that takes a lot of labour, but I’m currently in a giant hiatus from my Serious Story (The Ice Plague) and Falling Falling Stars is my hooky fic (you can tell because I can write chapters very quickly for it - well, okay, quickly by my standards anyway).

*thinks*

Yeah I‘m feeling kind of nonplussed about fandoms right now. I was really kind of...burnt out by the MXTX Untamed crowd, or at least like two or three BNFs in that crowd, and it made me want to step back from fandom a lot. And that was hard, because I had like 4 pretty serious fic ideas that I wanted to write, and just felt like...all of them died because of the fandom experiences I had.

I actually read a great Adoribull fic the other day that got me thinking about Bull and Cullen again, so I do think when DA4 comes out, I might get sucked back into that fandom.

But yeah I tentatively think I won’t feel like writing fic until after FFS, and then I will probably look for something to write for. But I don’t feel like I had to stall on anything I really needed to write re: fanfiction, since the perfect spot for me is writing fanfiction-style/feel original stories, and FFS is giving me those vibes lmao.

I’ll definitely write fanfic again though, knowing me, probably for some niche rarepair or something, lmao.

I’m so glad you’re enjoying the writing, anon <3333 And yeah this year has been rough too, hasn’t it? It’s - for so many people - not getting any easier. I hope you’re taking care.
