I think I've reached the truest state of delusion

So Maya posted this video on her instagram with no audio but it looks an awful lot like she's rehearsing lines and seems to be acting kinda Robin-like

But what I've just noticed is important is that she's using a dental floss

Which happens to be what appears to be the exact same dental floss that was included in one of the last bts photo dumps

The photo of the pack of floss was included in the photo dump that came after THIS content of Maya and Joe on set possibly outside the radio station

(it was literally in the same post as the Steve photo)

Now we know that we've seen Robin taking care of her dental hygiene before (oh I sound so crazy please stick with me), which was before the pep rally when she was fretting over her appearance for Vickie

So theoretically IF that video is in fact her rehearsing for a s5 scene, there's a strong chance it could have been filmed around the time of those stobin bts dumps, and Robin is having another ramble to Steve about seeing Vickie while she's making herself desirable presentable

It would also make sense because THIS FIT with the leather jacket and the belt and the fucking blue hair bow (which she pointedly seems to change into before Steve changes out of his first outfit) really looks like she's dressing to impress

BUT WAIT I'M NOT DONE YET

So let's say Robin really is dressing up and scrubbing up because she's going to meet up with Vickie. WHY then does she end up running round town going to barns with Erica Sinclair and shady labs with Mike Wheeler?? Or whatever tf she's doing with Will?? No Vickie in sight as far as we know??

Well let me remind you of this leak we got back in february (coincidentally the same day we got the pics of rovickie filming at the hospital but that's not really relevant)

So obviously this may not be true, but it's plausible from what we know about Robin's anxiety

Now this could also be incorrect, but at the beginning of the video, it looks like she could be saying "like the dream I'm having [floss] you never know"

Something we know about Vecna is that he can give people vivid nightmares, as he gave them to Max and his other victims in s4, so it's entirely possible he could continue to taunt everyone via nightmares

So Robin possibly having recurring dreams while also being paranoid about Vickie's safety, to her knowing she's meeting up with Vickie and getting ready to see her while rambling to Steve about said dreams, only for her to seemingly NOT end up meeting Vickie and going on side quests instead?

ik this topic has been done to death but byler and rovickie had very similar relationship arcs in s4

like. canonically queer character has a crush on another character all season but that character is shown to be in a heterosexual relationship. the heterosexual relationship is not in a good place at the end of the season (vickie and her boyfriend breaking up, mike and el not talking after the monologue), and the last scene we see of the queer character and their crush is of them together.

and everyone accepts that one is of these ships is endgame but everyone argues about the other

I just know that I am going to be BAWLING while watching season 5, especially when byler has their first kiss. Byler, and stranger things as a whole, mean so much to me. Like I can’t even put it into words. Stranger things is what lead me into become interested with horror, and now it’s my favourite genre of all time. I can’t explain how my life would change if I never watched stranger things, it gave me so much hope for myself. While I’ve never been physically bullied, I have definitely been verbally bullied by peers in the past, and had been labeled as “one of the weird/queer kids” and it hurt me so much back then. Seeing stranger things and having the nerds and outcasts save the day and get so much praise truly helped me realize I wasn’t as alone as I felt. And byler, holy shit. I don’t think I’ve ever related as much to two fictional characters as I have with Mike and Will. Seeing Mikes internalized homophobia made me so relieved, which sounds kinda weird, but knowing that it was an experience other kids had was so reassuring. It reminded me of my younger self. Back when all of my friends had started to get crushes on the boys, and we would huddle under playground equipment talking about them. I didn’t realize it at the time and was very in denial, but I had a big crush on my best friend, who was yapping about one of the boys in my grade. So I’d lie, and randomly picked one of the boys who they hadn’t talked about, and I said I liked him. I didn’t. I hated his guts. But the feeling to try and fit in felt so massive. Eventually as I grew up and with the support of my parents, I finally managed to admit to myself that I was in fact bi (with a huge preference for women). Mike, Will, Robin and Vickie, mean so much to me and other queer people. I love them with all of my heart. The Byler community has made me feel so welcome and loved, and I hope you guys feel the same. Even though I have my worries, I trust the duffer brothers to give stranger things the ending it deserves. Pre-season 4. Do you think Robin had Steve do the twin thing and go into school to take a test for her? She was sick as a dog and didn't know what she was asking him, but she was his platonic soulmate, and he loved her. Plus, it was his day off, and he was bored. So, he dresses up as her: wig, makeup, and all. No one notices. . .until a certain class she shares with Eddie, and he's like. . . ??? He doesn't give Steve away, though. Vickie clocks him immediately and makes up an excuse for him not to play. Steve managed to avoid Mike, Dustin, and Lucas because he never would have heard the end of it. . .or did he? When Mike sat down at lunch, he asked Dustin why Steve was here dressed at Robin. . .Dustin immediately pulled his first kid out and tried to take his temperature.

"Mike! Hold still! You're sick. . .because why would STEVE BE HERE DRESSED AS ROBIN!"

Later, Steve does run into Chrissy, but it doesn't phase her. They used to hang out back in the day along with Nancy. Also, they used to play dress up when they were little, and their parents ran in the same circles. Eventually, he does run into Nancy, who's also unbiased because they used to share lipgloss when they were together. They'd greet each other so casually, and Nancy would guess that he's bored on his day off.

Anyway. . .this is up for grabs. Choose who anyone wants to be with or insert yourself or an original character. This is for anyone. . .and for multiple people to write different versions.

As a rovickie it's actually frustrating and upsetting to see people's argument for why rovickie is, in their opinion, the better ship for Robin is "they really like each other, look how much they like each other!"

Like... when has how the characters canonically feel about each other bothered shippers like no that's not going to fly I'm sorry.

For ME, I love rovickie because...

1. Robin will have a gf that gets her nd traits and rambling and relates to her in that way, in a way that her best friend in the world can't even understand 2. because the dynamic of Robin knowing about the ud while Vickie is clueless, while SIMULTANEOUSLY having to hide the fact they even like each other from their closest friends is just such an exciting and interesting concept!!

While there's only one way they're going to develop rovickie and their plot relating to the ud in the show, rn it's SO fun thinking of ways it could happen, and I know in the show it'll bring out new sides of Robin herself and how she would handle those situations. I hate that they have so little scenes so far and have barely developed past a couple of fruity glances (and if that bothers you that's okay! It should! Justice for my sapphics!), but Vickie still not having a clue what's going on and leaving it so open has honestly got me so hyped for what WILL happen, as well as what I imagine could happen.

That's just the argument I'd make, idk. I don't want to convince anyone to SHIP them because everyone has their preferences, but as I said it is frustrating to see people say "why ship Robin with anyone else when she clearly likes Vickie" that's not going to help anyone be nicer about them.
