When Billy was a Newbie
I like to think some of these scenarios happened when Billy was first starting out as a hero.
Villain: *monologging*
Marvel: *doesn’t even let them finish and socks the shit out of them and takes them to the police department*
This happens a good twenty times until one villain has enough.
Villain: *monologging*
Marvel: *about to attack while they’re talking*
Villain: “OKAY WAIT WAIT WAIT, STOP RIGHT THERE YOU BASTARD.”
Marvel: *stops, confused*
Villain: “I know you’re new to this whole thing, but you do realize you’re supposed to let us monologue and tell you our evil plan, right?! You’re not supposed to cut us off!”
Marvel: “I’m not?”
Villain: “No!”
Marvel: “Oh. I’m sorry about that, Mx. Supervillain. I’ll let you and the other ones talk next time.”
Villain: “Wait, really?”
After this, he actually does end up letting them talk and all that.
I also think something like this would happen when he was getting used to fighting crime.
Marvel: *throws one of the big blue mail boxes at some low level, human, emphasis on human, crooks* “Oh… my bad, guys! I was a little too harsh.”
Crooks: *severely injured* “What do you mean ‘your bad’?!?????? That was a little more than harsh!”
Then, there’s the fact I think he wouldn’t care about where he’s saving people. By that I mean, Billy has a lot of free time because he doesn’t go to school. Because of this, you’ll casually see Captain Marvel in flipping Milwaukee helping some people who got into a car crash, then in Orlando helping out with a fire, then in San Jose helping someone who lost their dog. Point is, if there’s someone to help out, he’ll help. Through this, he met Superman actually. Funnily enough, it was while holding up a building.
Marvel: *holding up a building*
Supes: *flies down* “You’re Captain Marvel, right?”
Marvel: “Huh? Uh yeah?” *looks over Superman, seeing his suit and thinking he’s another hero (Billy doesn’t know most heroes because this was when the time bubble recently popped)
Supes: “You need a hand with that?”
Marvel: “Yes, please.”
Supes and Marvel: *work together to move the building to somewhere safe so it won’t hurt anyone*
Marvel: “Thanks.”
Supes: “No problem.”
*awkward silence*
Supes: “If I can ask, what brought you to Metropolis?”
Marvel: “I’m here to fight crime…?” *says like it’s super obvious*
Supes: “Wha? Don’t you have your own city?”
Marvel: “I mean, I guess. Fawcett isn’t really my city though. I just protect it.”
Supes: *blanking and trying to come up with something to say* “Captain, you can’t just go around in other hero’s cities and fight crime for them. It’s a breach of territory.”
Marvel: “It is?”
Supes: “Yes, it is. Honestly, I’m just happy you didn’t do this in Gotham. Batman would’ve been furious.”
Marvel: “Oh. Okay then… so just stick to cities that don’t have heroes?”
Supes: “Well, I guess but don’t you normally-”
Marvel: *beaming smile* “I appreciate the advice, Mr. Superman.”
Supes: “Your…welcome? Wait, what do you mean ‘stick to the cities that don’t have heroes’?”
Marvel: “Oh, well, when crimes slow and nothing’s going on in Fawcett, I kind of just fly around everywhere looking for stuff to do. Just the other day I helped these two old, farmer people, husband and wife, lift their tractor out of some mud.”
Supes: *a little astounded he has that much time on his hands* “Really? Where was that?”
Marvel: “Kansas. I think the town they lived in was Smallville or something?”
Supes: *nearly shits himself* “Ah… I see.”
Then there was the time he met a random Green Lantern. He had no idea what the Lantern Corp were, but any information Solomon gave him made them sound cool though. But you want to know the worst part of this interaction? The Lantern was trying to give Marvel a ring.
Random GL (RGL): *talking about how he wanted to give Billy the ring and yadayadayada*
Marvel: *not even listening due to the Gods talking a whole lot*
Mercury: “BILLY STEAL THE RING!”
Marvel: *saying this out loud* “What? What ring?”
RGL: *confused, says something Billy isn’t paying attention to*
Mercury: “THE RING ON HIS FINGER. KEEP UP WITH THE PROGRAM.”
Marvel: *still talking out loud* “Oh okay okay… how do I do that?”
Solomon: “You are supposed to use your will.”
Marvel: “Huh? Solomon there’s no way that’ll wor…” *trails off as he wills the ring off the lantern’s finger* “I take back what I said.”
RGL: *starts to fall*
Marvel: “Holy moly!” *rushes down to catch him*
RGL: “Earthling what the hell is wrong with you?! Why would you do that??!?”
Marvel: “I’m sorry! The voices has told me to.” *gives them back their ring*
RGL: *flies off grumbling how he’s a psychopath*
Then there was when Marvel joined the Justice League. When he got the communicator, he put it in his pocket dimension and promptly forgot about it.
Marvel: “The Justice League hasn’t contacted me. I wonder if I’ve done something wrong…”
Meanwhile…
Batman: “This is like the third meeting he’s missed, Clark.”
Supes: “I know, I know! I’m sorry! He didn’t seem like the type to skip out on meetings. He talked like he had a bunch of free time.”
WW: “You should go talk to him. You are the one who invited him.”
Supes: *sighs* “I will.”
Back in Fawcett…
Marvel: *helping a cat down from a tree*
Supes: *flies down when he sees him* “Captain! Can we talk?”
Marvel: *hands cat back to its owner* “Mr. Superman. Of course! I’ve actually had something I’ve been meaning to talk about with you too.”
Supes: “Right, well I guess I’ll cut straight to the point. Is there a reason you haven’t shown up to the last meetings?”
Marvel: *stares at him with the most confused face* “Meetings?”
Supes: *confused at Billy’s confusion* “Yes? You get notified on your comm about them.”
Marvel: “Comm… Comm?” *thinking face before recognition flits across his face* “Wait, this thing?” *reaches hand into pocket dimension and pulls out his JL comm*
Supes: *slightly horrified when he saw his arm disappear for a moment* “Yeah. That.”
Marvel: *taps comm and sees over 45 unread notifications* “Oh.”
Supes: *wondering how in the world Marvel never checked his comm* “Oh indeed.”

I do not have time to write this, but I really need to write it down.
All the events of Stranger things happen as normal - one crucial difference, Eddie gets involved, but not in the same way. He's an innocent by stander who never made friends with the kids. He's a vague background character to the action. He's an extra on set, effectively, and when he drops out of school and leaves town abruptly, someone might notice, but no one really questions it.
Years later, the only thing that feels real about the whole thing are the scars Steve still carries on his body. Sometimes, sometimes, he has to call Robin, just to check it was all real. That he hasn't lost his mind. He still flinches when a light flickers, to this day his ears ring for hours after a loud noise. He has headaches.
The only people he can talk to about it are Robin and the kids; but he feels bad. The kids aren't kids anymore, and they all seem to have just...gotten on with their lives. Seemed to have grown and evolved past it all, even though Steve regularly still wakes in the night, sweating and fighting with his bed covers. He doesn't put that on them, he sounds happy on the phone, and he is, loves hearing about their lives, their relationships, their plans and their own kids.
Robin has a girlfriend, she's happy and settled. Steve's the only one who seems...stuck. Like he cant move past it. He bums around. Stays with Nancy for a while, then Robin. Visits Argyle, makes loose acquaintances and sofa surfs. Drifts, aimlessly, through life.
It's about time in his cycle to visit Robin, but the relationship is serious this time and she nags him to find his own place to stay near by - loosing patience with him when he fails to be motivated and finding it for him herself. It's tiny, the kind of place where the bed is also the couch and the TV rests on a short run of kitchen counter because there's no where else. Feels okay though.
Steve gets a job. Spends a day on foot, door to door, walking through town; lands in a record shop of all places, even though CD's have now well and truly taken hold and vinyl isn't much of a thing. It's dark inside, the walls painted black, the bare brick red. A couple of people browse through, but Steve heads right for the counter.
There's some screamo rock stuff playing that Steve doesn't recognize, but it's quiet, so it's okay.
Behind the counter, someone Steve half recognizes from another life. Eddie Munson, Freak of Hawkins High. What are the odds.
Eddie isn't who Steve remembers. He's angry now. Bitter. Has a horrible scar that creeps up his neck and onto his face, pulling the corner of his lip down. Steve does his best to ignore it. Begs for work.
Eddie employs him, but only because he thinks it's fucking funny how far the king has fallen. Now the king works for the jester.
Steve does his best at the shop. Cleans a lot. Gets on well with the customers, charms plenty of sales.
Eddie walks with a cane and seems to hate everyone and everything; but nothing so much as a cold morning. Seems to be in more pain than usual.
Steve wants to ask, Eddie tells him it was an animal attack. In 86.
Steve's seen some of the scars by now, caught glimpses of how bad Eddie was hurt; helped Eddie even when Eddie was spitting angry about accepting any help.
What the fuck kind of animal could do that much damage in Hawkins?
You wouldn't believe me if I told you.
And Steve puts it together then, instantly and viscerally realizes in his bones what must have happened. No one ever believed Eddie. Why would they? How could anyone think that monsters coming out of the walls, out of the floors, out of glowing red portals could be the truth?
And Steve says, did it's face peel apart like a flower?
And then he tells Eddie. He tells Eddie everything. He shows Eddie his own scars. Tells him about every monster they ever come across. It was one of the demo dogs. Like Dart. Steve knew it must have been, but Eddie confirms with a description.
And then Eddie cries, because he finally has a explanation. He's not crazy. For the first time in his life, someone believes him.

God of prophecy, music, and plague 𖤓°⋆.ೃ࿔*:・𖤓°⋆.ೃ࿔*:・𖤓°⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
I was supposed to post this Sunday but got caught up with stuff so here's a midnight rundown on my relationship to Apollo ;-;
Apollo began showing up around a month after I began my worship to Aphrodite. I was afraid at first. Not of him, but of the idea of worshipping another deity. In the past, I had only ever worshipped one at a time. As a neurodivergent person I was also afraid that my relationship to Aphrodite was just a hyperfixation since I had been playing Hades a lot.
The thought of worshipping Apollo only further worried me. I wanted to assure Aphrodite that she wasn't;t a mere hyperfixation and that she would not be forgotten. The first time I tried to communicate with Apollo via tarot cards, Aphrodite showed up instead and voiced her concerns.
She was afraid that I'd abandon her and forget about her. I knew where this was coming from because I had told her about Hades. Early 2023 I had begun worshipping Hades but after about a month and a half it became too much for me to continue and I kind of just stopped my worship and never went back. I had felt so bad but worship can be so draining sometimes.
Anyways, after reassuring Aphrodite many times I believed I had the okay to begin doing proper research on Apollo before reaching out to him. What interested me about him is his Lo'xias epithet, meaning god of prophecy or messenger of Zeus. I was so drawn to it because throughout my entire life I have always had crazy intuition and predictions.
At first I chalked up to the fact that I'm autistic and can recognize patterns really well. Specifically, I take "data" I've collected about a situation or people and use it to make predictions about what will happen or what they'll do. But, too often did I predict something and it actually happened in a scarily accurate manner. There have been multiple times that it's felt as though I've actually spoken things into existence. For example, while I was ranting to my sister about someone who had talked major shit about me and I said that (for the sake of privacy I will not describe what I said) this specific scenario was going to happen to them. I said it out of anger and in passing but that very weekend exactly the thing that I said would happen to them HAPPENED.
With tarot cards, especially, my readings are always insanely accurate. Even my sister, who is not a believer in anything that I do, is wary about my readings because she knows that whatever the cards say will happen will actually happen. Furthermore, when I first moved to college I had visited a metaphysical store with my cousin and there the owner overheard me say that it had been so long since I had really done tarot that I probably couldn't ever do it again. And she said to me "tarot reading is like riding a bike, you learn once and never forget. She then brought out her own personal oracle cards and had me do a reading on her and her husband. She wanted me to use the cards to tell them who they are. According to them, everything I had said was more than true.
With Apollo, I thought I could use his help to groom and cultivate this proclivity of mine.
After having properly reached out to him, I've come to the realization that I love more than just his prophetic aspect. I stated in my previous post that I had been struggling due to a situation that occurred earlier in the school semester. Even when I was back home, I was struggling with panic attacks and bouts of major anxiety. What always helped, however, was taking my dogs out on their walk and feeling Apollo's rays of sunshine beaming down on me.
Every single time I stepped out of the house-heart racing, hands shaking, ears ringing-suddenly it would all melt away into nothingness the second I felt the sun on my face, enveloping my person, weaving its heat through my curls and over my ears. Even if it had been storming, when the time came to walk the dogs, the sky would magically become clear enough to allow the sun to shine through.
Eventually, I started keeping the tarot cards I dedicated to Apollo under my pillow and asking him to visit me in my dreams. The first night I saw a beautiful, swirling ball of light above my bed, with orange and yellow flares coming out of it. The second night, however, I woke up in a dream. I was in the back of this van sitting next to this man. He looked young with beautiful, black curls. He had his arm wrapped around me and my head rested on his shoulder.
I remember him feeling so warm. He felt like home. He felt like snuggling up under the covers in a cold room. And I just lay there, hands holding his, watching the scenery of the drive we were on. I woke up that morning with the sun shining on my face, clearly attempting to wake me up.
I've heard a lot of people say that Apollo feels like a golden retriever boyfriend or nice frat boy. And while I respect that everyone's experiences with deities is different, Apollo to me feels like some guardian. Maybe an older brother or a father or an uncle. I think people expect Apollo to be boyish and naive because he's always been described as a young thing. We forget that he is just as wise, if not more, as his cousins and aunts and uncles.
Praise Apollo, averter of evil, dark-haired, messenger of zeus!

Orca's ref
info post about Memento Cadre
more info under the cut
-Uses He/Him may also use They/Them
-head canon voice:
-He’s a Crossfell variant (Crossfell by Jakei95). So has a different experience from the og Cross.
-Joined Memento Cadre due to the fact his au had basically been destroyed, and he didn’t want to be apart of X!Gaster’s plan to revive it. He doesn’t talk about his life before Memento Cadre, and wants to keep it that way. Somewhere in the beginning of him joining the group him and X!Chara were split into two beings. Wasn’t allowed near the other 3 when Omen (Nightmare) first took him in, as he was violent at the time and would have hurt the other 3, had to be slowly introduced to them.
-Has less magic than the others, but makes up for it in physical prowess. Being physically stronger than the others as well as being able to take a lot more hits than them too. Paired on with the fact he is now LV 10 he’s a lot stronger than the others in the group (Other than Omen). A solid/good punch from him is like getting hit by a bullet train. And due to his armour/cape his Def is high as well. Often being able to walk through most attacks, including gaster blaster beams.Though he can’t do it consistently.
-His Name was originally ‘X’ but Omen (Nightmare) started to call him Orca, which after a while Orca became his new name, allowing him to distance himself from his old life. He’s never seen/heard of an orca before, doesn’t even know what his new name means.
-The tallest in Memento Cadre. Will slouch slightly from time to time when talking to others. Often getting told by the rest of the group to straighten his back or he will mess it up.
-Best way to describe his personality is like a honey badger mixed with a chihuahua. Needlessly aggressive, and acts like everything is out to get him so kicks off to keep everyone away from him. But only lets a few select people/monsters come close. He can be seen as a fighting dog that is still learning to act like a normal dog.
Or a pray animal that has nowhere else to run so has to fight.
Though a weakness of his is head pats. Doesn’t want anyone knowing that. If someone doesn’t attack him and gets close enough to pet him he’s basically the equivalent of a kicked puppy.
-His personality when it comes to those he likes is basically like a teddy bear. Very soft and protective. He acts as a guard dog for them, and always tries to do his best to protect everyone and keep them out of trouble. He’s willing to put his life on the line for them, even if it means he might die, if it gives the others time to get away in his eyes it’s worth it.
-Never really learned to read/write, learned a bit when he was a kid, but never continued to learn. Omen (Nightmare) did offer to teach him when he realized Orca didn’t know. But Orca refused due to being embarrassed. Though Omen would teach him anyway at random times in a nonchalant way making Orca feel less awkward about it.
-Was basically created to be a walking loyal weapon. He’s loyal to a scary degree, this is why he was in such a bad spot in his au for so long. But when things went to hell and he realized he had no one to place that loyalty in it gave him major trust issues. Omen (Nightmare) was able to gain Orca’s trust over a long period of time. And slowly the rest of Memento Cadre he began to trust with Omen’s help.
-Will sometimes get annoyed at Omen, yes Omen doesn’t treat him as a weapon and will actively go out of his way to protect Orca so he doesn’t have to fight, but Orca feels somewhat useless without being able to fight, since it’s all he’s ever known. He knows Omen is trying to teach him how to be more of a person than a weapon, but he also wants to do the things he’s good at for Omen. “Let me fight, I’m good at fighting.” “But do you want to fight?” “...”
-Spends a bit of his free time with Omen whenever Omen is in the archive, since he likes to hear stories about the aus from Omen. Prides himself on the fact he’s the one who has gotten Omen to talk the most.
-Wears a spiked collar to keep people away from his neck. Hates anyone getting near his neck/face. He had problems with people in his au trying to go for his neck, so uses the collar as a way to keep them away.
-Wears fingerless gloves to protect his knuckles, as he has a habit of biting his knuckles when nervous.
-His cape is really heavy, its a similar weight to 3-4 weighted blankets (not including the spikes and fur on the cape, which also add to the weight) Will; throw it at others to knock them over.
-X wound on his face, from time to time the wound can hurt and also give him bad headaches. The wound never fully healed so if he catches it on something it could start bleeding again. The others in the group have each tried to heal it, but couldn’t and it made the pain worse for him for a short time.
-His normal resting face looks like a glare, which tends to scare off most people, without him meaning to scare them off.
-Hates being alone, has to be hanging out with someone, so is often seen following the others like a lost puppy. He’s sort of fine when it comes to going to sleep on his own, but if he awakes during the night he will seek out Omen as he knows Omen doesn’t really sleep. Will normally fall back asleep in whatever room Omen is in.
-His tail wags when happy, in the past he never used to wag his tail before joining the group. Has once sprained his tail from wagging it to hard, was extremely embarrassed about it, and once he got healed he wasn’t seen for a few hours because he was so embarrassed.
-Used to be a royal guard/samurai, was so caught up in fighting honorably that he would fall for tricks/others fighting dirty. But since spending time in the group he no longer cares about this, and will 100% do anything he can to win. E.g. throwing sand/dirt/snow into others eyes/eye sockets, throwing his cape (which is heavy as hell) at peoples faces to blind them/catch them/knock them over. etc. Though he is also aware when to back off from a fight he can’t win.
-Is part dragon, often runs off of the instincts of his draconic side. So will sometimes act more beast than monster/person.
-Due to running off instincts half of the time he may do things that are closer to what animals will do. E.g. he will groom the ones he likes, he bites/scratches/purrs/growls, he collects/hoards shiny things. Gets possessive over people/things.
-May have LV flares that are mainly effected by his mood. And due to him running on more instinct based he will often become extremely destructive during these flares. Or may get very protective of the group/over one specific person. He can’t really help it. When he’s being more destructive than protective Omen will take him to a dead au to cool off.
-Used to sleep sat up, being on edge even when sleeping. He’s started to rest better now and will lay down now, but does so curled up into a ball, may even curl up around things, including stealing one of Alloy’s (Killer’s) cats to curl up around.
-Will pick people up that he likes. Will also wrap his cape around people he likes too. May also steal people this way too, throwing an arm/the cape over someone to hid them then dragging them away. Does this often to Soot when Soot is hallucinating.
-Will also let people lean on him, e.g. will stand behind the others so they can lean back on him. Normally the MTT will grab either side of his cape and pull it over themselves too to hide in Orca's cape. Omen will lean back on Orca but won't really mess with his cape
-When walking around an au, especially in Snowdin, the MTT will follow behind him in a line stepping exactly in the places where he steps. E.g. in Snowdin it will look like one set of footprints. Orca is unsure on why they do this or when it started, but doesn’t question it since he knows it keeps the others close to him, and also he feels almost honored that they’re following in his footsteps rather than Omen’s.
-Was very iffy with food before joining Memento Cadre. Would basically eat anything put in front of him. Even if it was to make him ill. He never really had a good consistent food source in his au, and also when joining the group he also would hoard food, and hide food as well, which he slowly grew out of, though sometimes he still does hide his favorite snacks.
-Very warm, the equivalent of a furnace, this heat comes from the fact he’s part dragon. Often when it’s particularly cold Soot, Cleaver will huddle up to him. Them often dragging Alloy into the huddle knowing Alloy isn’t aware when it’s too cold. When they’re back at the base Alloy’s cats will also hang out with him due to it being cold.
-Alloy (Killer) will mess with him a lot. Gets annoyed at Alloy the most. Though at the same time he can’t complain as Alloy will show him things he’s not seen before. Or show him how to do things. He thinks Alloy just likes watching his reactions to things rather than actually helping him out with stuff.
-Often will hang with Soot, finding comfort in hanging out quietly with him. Since there’s never any pressure of either of them to speak. Knows a little bit of sign language, and sometimes Soot will teach him random signs, mainly how to swear in sign language, both of them finding it funny.
Inspos:
-Yuji from JJK, specifically when Yuji gets serious and the frames go black and white. He's also inspired by the move black flash from JJK as well
-orcas, mainly how they will punt things out of the ocean and generally only bigger whales are the thing that can stand up to them.
-Crossfell by Jakei95 is also a huge inspo obviously lol

A Vulture In Therapy
It’s Never Been About Death (But It Is All I Think About)
-
The hospital was like a labyrinth. I remember having an anxiety attack the first time I went to inpatient therapy here, and the nurses who were talking to me were absolutely useless. They sent me to the wrong floor and were really pushy and suffocating even as I was starting to twitch and cry and hyperventilate.
Now I wore the same sticker tag every day and knew the route. Why did it require two different elevators to get to this floor? I have no clue. I didn’t build it.
My therapist and psychiatrist both wanted me to attend inpatient therapy, saying that it might help me develop some healthier coping strategies, and determine if further treatment would be worth pursuing. I think they were worried about how my suggestion for treatment overlapped with my obsession with death. People get concerned when I talk about how often I think about death. I have to reassure people over and over again that I don’t want to die. It’s a macabre and spiritual fascination. The historical, chemical, spiritual, emotional, and biological process fascinate me. Everything dies. It's one thing all of us animals of planet earth truly have in common.
And death feeds life. That has been the case almost since life has been.
Today was my next to last day. It helped to see other people who were struggling like me, especially when we helped each other with wisdom for our own lives. I made some friends I would never see again. I shared some good moments and some uncomfortable ones. Today was going to show them this other side of me, though.
Today we also ended up, intentionally or otherwise, with death as the main topic of discussion.
When you live in the south it’s hard to find anything that is secular. Even things explicitly said to be secular make sure that there is all the space for religious talk that people could possibly want. I mean I suppose it’s fair, we were talking about death and many people process death through religion.
Still, people kept trying to include me specifically in their religious talk, so when it was my time to speak…
Well…
“I’m not a religious person.”
Several people’s faces got awkward as they realized they had been trying to rope what they assumed was the only atheist in the zipcode into their church talk.
“I am spiritual though. I think about death a lot. I never learned how to mourn correctly. My family tried to hide death from me. I was never allowed to feel or express negative emotions, so even when someone died, I didn’t know how to cry anymore. I would just go numb. Besides, other people around me needed me, and I have a chronic need to be there for other people when they need me. I am a person who can reschedule grief. A month or two months or three would pass and then suddenly that grief would come knocking. My grandmother passed last year. It took me two months of time and three solid days alone to break down and cry.”
I tastefully edited out that the bourbon helped too, because two of the people there were recovering alcoholics.
“To me, the vulture is a sacred animal.”
I held up the painting I’d worked on during art therapy. It was of a swarm of black birds ascending into the sky. I know it looked grim and ominous to other people, but as I talked I could see them begin to understand.
“It doesn’t waste. I love scavengers in general. Creatures that take up the unwanted or lost. I see vultures and I see the grim cleaners of the world. Many people don’t see the value of the scavenger, but we’re far better off with them in it than without. Did you know that in areas with low vulture populations, rabies is more common? This is because without flocks of vultures to break down carcasses quickly, they are instead visited by feral dogs, coyotes, foxes, racoons, and many other mostly mammalian opportunist. This makes carcasses a disease vector. Parasites and disease can spread from conflicts over a carcass,” I realized I was beginning to overshare one of my hyperfixations. Time to wrap it up. “They rarely kill. They consume the rotten and undesirable. They prevent disease. I love seeing them because to me they are not just symbols of death, they’re life. There is no real death here, only the cycle of life reusing its building blocks to make more life. I don’t want to be embalmed when I die. I want to be put in the earth to rot, that way the molecules that make up my body can be where they belong. Everywhere. Death as a continuation of life. Everything that consumes me, I will be.”
I was used to creeping people out. The room was quiet for a bit, digesting the condensed documentary I had just unloaded on them, punctuated with my funeral plans.
What do you see when you look at me? I don’t look like a monster, not until you interact with me. My way of talking has never been quite human. I am physically the human animal. I don’t like that many humans don’t see themselves as animals. We are. We’ve tricked ourselves into thinking we aren’t, that we are something separated from the animals and plants and dirt, and that’s not healthy.
So I refuse to act. It unsettles people.
I am an animal of the dirt and sky and rain.
I just happen to wear human skin.
The conversation moved on.
The day’s session came to a close.
There was a new respect for vultures in that room. I walked away feeling lighter in mind and body. I stood on the 3rd floor of the parking garage and looked out over the streets.
I opened discord on my phone and scrolled back through a conversation with a friend.

Maybe wanting to be a therian is a symptom of being a therian. It didn't occur to me until last night that wanting to have the dreams was a sign.
ashedink 06/06/2024 9:51 AM
That’s a good point.
Kinda like how some people figure out they’re trans, not because of a presence of gender dysphoria, but by the absence of gender euphoria.
tigergirltail - 06/06/2024 9:55 AM
Wanting it is that first symptom.
Yeah, literally how I awakened.

We’ve been friends for so long, and we’re still finding new bridges to cross together.
Maybe I will follow you over this one too, if my therapist is satisfied with how inpatient therapy went.
Is it arrogant to try to become that which I hold in such high spiritual regard? Maybe that’s just human greed want it. There is no dysphoria here, I simply exist as I am regardless of my vessel.
But maybe I should try it. Maybe euphoria is waiting for me in an unexpected shape.
I mean, I’ll be an animal either way.
Maybe I'll be a happy animal.

Do you think that Batman could empathize with Tomura and successfully reach out? They are both orphans with a dark side. The difference being is that Bruce was able to work through his darkness to be healthy(er) while Tomura had all his pain cultivated for 15-16 years.
Yes. 100% yes. That’s not even a question for me. I’ve been dying for someone to send me a question like this, because it’s something I’ve noticed in the general fandom response to the pro-heroes and the hero kids. The thing is, the heroes in My Hero Academia don’t really act like good wholesome heroes. They certainly act like marvel movie heroes... in the fact that they have strong superheroes and fight a bad guy and have such a clear delineation between good and evil that many viewers take them to have propagandistic qualities. Like, there’s a reason that marvel movies have degraded to what they are today currently, and besides all the other factors it’s because these comic book heroes are really getting sanded down into a set of superpowers, a costume and a bad guy to beat with no ideals or themes behind their characters. My Hero Academia heroes aren’t really that heroic, they don’t really have any ideals they stand for except the extremely vague notion of defeat the bad guy. Yeah, Deku has “Save people” but Deku is noted several times to be an oddity among heroes.
The Pro-Heroes and the Hero Kids in My Hero Academia have this weird paradox to them where the story itself, and also in world hero propaganda sells the idea that heroes are incredibly wholesome, always selfless, people who go above and beyond to save and protect. Yet, the heroes in MHA are actually extremely cynical, and pragmatic, and they also really have no guiding principals beyond “Might makes Right.”
You can put all heroes on the scale of Spiderman <---------> Punisher.
To define them by whether they are a superhero focused on saving innocents, or a violent vigilante who is focused on punishing the guilty, the heroes in MHA are far more on the punisher scale of things than anyone either in setting or the fandom would like to admit. This is a universe where heroes like Hawks and Lady Nagant regularly commit state sponsored executions. This is a setting where Enji Todoroki is revealed to be a heinous abuser of his family and everyone in the superhero community is like... fine with it for the most part. They either don’t bring it up, or they think Enji does such a good job it justifies his position.
I mean, here to justify my accusation that heroes in MHA are far more on the punisher side of the scale. To compare to another manga, Jujutsu Kaisen and My Hero Academia have a similiar circumstance where a villain, Mahito and Dr. Garaki respectively are able to transform unwilling victims into mindless attack dogs by twisting their bodies into unseemly and horrifying shapes. Mahito’s altered humans, and Dr. Garaki’s nomus respectively seem to retain some sense of humanity and are in a state of pain. Nanami Kento, Shoko and Yuji all come to the harsh reality that there is nothing they can really do for the humans that Mahito has twisted, except for a swift mercy killing, and yet a lot of time is still given to the fact that killing something that is a human being is wrong and a heavy task even though it’s their only option, and two that the decision to kill someone is an extremely heavy burden to bear not made lightly. Nanami straight up loses all focus in a fight, and stops to wipe the tear of a former human when he realizes what they are fighting against.
Compare this to the way every hero responds to the Nomus in My Hero Academia. Enji without knowing whether or not they are truly sentient or even capable of being turned back into what they were, roasts one alive right away it’s his first action with them. Enji then later on meets a Nomu who is capable of intelligence and communication, and roasts it alive even harder specifically because the way the Nomu Acts, reminds Enji of a darker part of himself, and killing that enemy is perfectly satisfying to Enji because it allowed him to take out those personal frustrations. When Mirko learns that the Nomu are former human bsings she has no hesitation at all at bashing their brains in, in fact she’s almost delighted because she doesn’t have to hold back and that makes it easier than fighting regular villains. If the enemy is sufficiently dehumanized than heroes in my Hero Academia very easily resort to murderous methods, and it’s not just heroes like Enji, Mirko does it, heck Present Mic expresses the sentiment that Oboro would be better off dead then continuing his existence as Kurogiri.
The heroes in My Hero Academia are dark, almost myopic. I’m not saying you can’t enjoy them, but they are very different from the way heroes act in western comic books and I think a lot of people don’t know this because a lot of manga fans don’t really pick up comic books, and their biggest experience with western heroes therefore comes from movies.
So when I say BATMAN WOULD NEVER dehumanize a villain to the extent the My Hero Academia heroes do on a regular basis, I’m not saying that as a batman fan, I am saying that because Batman is probably THE MOST IDEALISTIC DC HERO. Yes, even moreso than superman. Batman is Clark’s hero. His inspiration. His good time boy.
Bruce would have noticed there was something off about Tomura right away in the early stages, if not the very first attack he waged on UA. I’m going to use two examples to prove my argument, one the fact that heroes also noticed that Shigaraki was extremely mentally unwell and just decided not to really care about it, and two Batman was actually faced with an extremely similiar situation in BTAS and his reaction is pretty much the opposite of All Might’s.
1. There’s Something Wrong with That Kid
To those who were paying attention to Shigaraki’s character from the beginning, even before we got to dig further into his backstory in My Villain Academia arc, or even be shown a more sympathetic and human side to his personality in the Overhaul arc, from his introduction Shigaraki shows signs of extreme mental distress. He is constantly exocriating himself, which is a form of self-harm that manifests under circustmances of extreme psychological stress. Shigaraki has a full on skin disorder that many people have because he is so poor at managing his stress he relentlessly picks and scratches at himself.
When he starts to lose in the middle of the fight, he essentially throws a tantrum, and not only does he immediately want to give up and go home, but he also lashes out at his own ally to try to vent that anger.
When All Might removes the hand from his face he has a momentary break from reality, and talks to the hand a physical object like it’s a person calling it “father” and apologizing to it.
Shigaraki also shows a clear grudge against both heroes, the failure of heroes, and the violence that heroes show (no kidding he’s a victim of violent abuse and the cycle of abuse in his family has an origin in his grandmother’s complete and total failure as a mother) that he clearly states in front of All Might once, and then Deku later the idea that heroes do not save people with their violence, and the implication that there are people that All Might have not saved and both times he is essentially brushed off by both of them.
Shigaraki’s mental distress is so obvious that even the heroes of My Hero Academia, who’s general response to villains is lock them up and throw away the key, noticed it. The heroes notice several of the symptoms I listed above about Shigaraki, but then decide to dismiss him as a man-child and then go on to say that he represents a kind of “pure evil” that villains may find attractive. The enertain the idea for like half a second that there might be more to Shigaraki that makes him different from the regular street villains heroes usually fight, and then they just dismiss the thought. Once again a common theme, the second All Might realizes he is Nana’s grandson he wants to go after Shigaraki to attempt to find him and reason with him only for once again Gran Torino to dismiss him as the kind of villain who’s beyond redemption and All Might to immediately give up on trying any other tactic than beating him down.
Now why do I say Batman would have immediately gone after Shigaraki and tried to reason with him and get him the help he needs? Do I have proof of him acting similarly? Batman in fact, comes across a similiar enough situation in one of the most famous episodes of Batman the Animated Series.
2. Man-Child meet Woman Child
Baby-Doll Batman the Animated Series season 3, episode 4 is one of the most popular episodes, and it shows most clearly the way Bruce’s brand of heroics is ultimately based on saving and empathy for his villains rather than just putting them down for the greater good. I could have gone with a lot of batman villains with much more clear and tragic origins, Mr. Freeze isn’t even trying to achieve anything villainous he wants to save his wife. Two-Face started out as not only Batman’s best friend, but a good guy and an ally of justice who was driven to insanity by a horrifying and sudden tragedy. Harley Quinn is a victim of grooming and abuse similiar to Shigaraki who has her entire sense of self warped and controlled by an abusive narcissist who quite literally turns her into a crude relfection of himself, to act as a pawn in his own evil schemes. I could use a lot of batman villains, but no Baby Doll, we’re going with Baby-Doll.
Mary Dahl is a washed up child actress with a physical condition that prevents her from growing up past a child, she’s sort of like Claudia from Interview with a Vampire, an adult mind inside a child’s body. Not only will she always be treated and regarded as a child for her physical appearance, due to her child as a former child star who’s show was cancelled and had no success in acting when she tried to do anything outside of playing the cutsey and innocent “baby-doll” on the sitcom “Love that Baby” she has ended up emotionally stunted and stuck in the past.
Mary Dahl’s fall to villainry is a bit less tragic than Shigaraki’s, she wasn’t like kidnapped and groomed since childhood by a villainous mastermind and turned into his own pet “make your own supervillain” project. She’s not getting work, but she’s not poor or destitute, there are former child stars who lose out on their childhoods and have no money to show for it, but she seems to have enough money to at least have an extremely competent agent and money to blow on her elaborate schemes. Her backstory is not nearly as tragic as Shigaraki’s, yet she shows several symptoms in common with Shigaraki, being a former child star like many child stars she shows severe dysfunction as an adult because it ate up her entire childhood. Child labor is bad people. Children who are not given room to grow up and develop as kids, have problems late into their adulthood.
She is also someone who feels rejected and left behind by society as a whole, it’s clear her only way of connecting to other people was the attention she received as a child star and the connections she had with cast members. She also experiences severe body dysmorphia I would say on level with Shigaraki’s, Shigaraki’s body dysmporphia is so bad he constantly picks at his own skin, his quirk soemtimes even causes physical damage to him and he feels extreme nausea at a near constant basis b/c of his emotional unrest. Baby-Doll literally experiences a same incompatability with her body, she has an adult mind, she craves to be a fully grown normal body, and a lot of her mental breaks from reality seem to come from how easily people mistake her for and treat her like a child.
Mary Dahl also shows severe dysfunction when it comes to regulating her own emotions. As tragic as Mary Dahl’s fall from fame is, and as much as it mirrors what happens to a lot of child stars in reality, Mary Dahl kind of also dug her own grave by her actions. Everyone on the cast thought she was notoriously difficult to work with, her show wasn’t cancelled on her, she left because the directors added in a new character she didn’t like and took attention away from her because of plummeting ratings. She left the show to try to take a more serious turn as an actor, once again to get attention and because she was on an ego-trip, then tried to get the show running again when it didn’t work for her but by that point it was too late. She’s also someone who just does not treat people well, she’s manipulative, she never engages people as her true self Baby-Doll is a role she is essentially playing, to both allow herself to violently lash out, but also to evade any responsibility for her own actions. It’s also ambiguous how much of the Baby-Doll persona is a genuine psychotic break (I don’t use the word psychotic lightly, I’m also not saying LOL look at her she’s so crazy, but there are genuine moments where Mary seems to mistake what happened on her TV show for reality which indicates that she’s not just trying to reclaim her former glory, that she is full on having delusions) there are also moments where “Baby-Doll” is a deliberate act she’s putting on, and Mary seems aware of what she is doing.
Mary Dahl is at the same time, delusional enough to believe she can kidnap everyone on her former show, and force them to just pretend to be the characters they were on her show, and playing dollhouse with this pretend family will somehow fix her problems. She is also, lucid enough to carefully plot and execute the kidnapping of several people, control a minion in her agent, and then evade capture from Batman several times. She is both a victim (she’s genuinely mentally unwell) and a villain (but not unwell enough she’s not aware her actions are wrong, she’s deliberately hurting people she just thinks her tragedy makes her entitled to that revenge). Mary Dahl thinks the world has wronged her and left her behind, that her show being cancelled was some great injustice done to her, and something she deserves the chance to rectify, even though as I just explained in detail that Mary was equally as responsible for the cancellation of her show. She is a person not willing to take any responsibility for her actions or see fault in herself.
You could even argue because of these quality Mary is way less sympathetic than Shigaraki, Shigaraki at least seems to have genuine critques about his society, and feels that he and the people around him have been rejected in an unjust fashion. Mary Dahl is upset her TV Show got cancelled and decided to make it everyone else’s problem. Mary Dahl’s problems are a lot more selfish, and smaller in comparison to Shigaraki’s, and yet the story itself does not downplay Mary’s distress because it is genuine to her.
In one extent, Mary is a danger to others, but she’s also a danger to heserlf. Like I said, it’s ambiguous how much but she’s clearly a mentally unwell woman. When someone is experiencing delusions on that level it’s a brain chemistry problem, and it’s also not something where it’s fair to go “Well, she has no reason to be mentally ill, it’s not like she was beaten, she’s just having an emotional breakdown because she’s not famous anymore.” I mean, what does it matter the reason whether she’s having a breakdown is a good enough reason or not, she’s clearly in extreme distress.
Number two, I think society as a whole tends to downplay the suffering of celebrities or child stars and make them seem like they are just entitled or spoiled for acting out, because they’re rich and famous and living a life most people would die for so who cares. But, HollyWood, the spotlight, and public scrutiny has a really bad psychological effect on people. Most people would not do well under such harsh public scrutiny all the time, and also when you make your entire personality around being a star and having the spotlight, also because in Baby Doll’s case there’s really no other career avaiable for her because of her condition then losing that is a pretty huge loss. Like, child stars who cannot either adapt to adulthood, cannot get work as adult actors, or just cannot even function as adults is a pretty common societal problem.
On top of kidnapping people, holding them hostage, she’s also someone who clearly needs help, like Baby-Doll is not just doing these things because she’s a selfish, entitled brat throwing a tantrum because she’s not famous anymore, she’s experiencing clear mental breaks from reality where she confuses her tv show for reality, she’s mentally sick and in need of treatment.
Baby-Doll is presented to us as a manipulative child star desperate for the spot light, endangering her cast because she herself cannot let go of the past for most of the episode, people around Bruce are pretty unsymapthetic to her, her attempts to get a more serious career is played off as a joke, the cast members do not like Baby-Doll and found her to be extremely high maintennance and difficult to work with even when she was on the show, Baby-Doll’s clearly not after the cast because of nostlagia, friendship or happy memories she has with her former cast members, but rather because she wants to pretend to be the the sitcom character who was surrounded by family who loved her. People constantly remark how crazy she is for thinking a tv show is reality. Even Robin says that he absolutely despised the “Baby-Doll” show, and it’s dismissed as kind of a cheesy sitcom with no real merit.
However, the last five minutes turn all of that on its head. Bruce Wayne, my darling, is presented to us as a man of few words. We don’t actually see Bruce’s reaction to what Baby-Doll is doing for most of the episode, we see Dick’s who clearly thinks she’s just crazy, Bruce the whole time is focused on just resolving the incident first, finding the kidnapped people, rescuing them from Baby-Doll’s grip. So Bruce’s absolute first priority is just to stop the villain from doing the bad thing, he stops the bad behavior and makes Baby-Doll unable to hurt others.
Bruce, the living embodiment of the term “Gap Moe”, because he is so closed off and not reacting to Baby Doll in any way, does not seem to be going out of his way to sympathize with her. That however, changes once the the threat Baby-Doll represents to others is neutralized. Baby-Doll then flees from Bruce with a Tommy Gun out into the middle of the night. The tables have turned and Baby-Doll has gone from a cackling villain, pretending often to be a scared little girl in order to manipulate people, to a genuinely scared and desperate person. Even the image Baby-Doll evokes fleeing from Bruce, is a sympathetic one, Baby-Doll despite being an adult woman still looks like a child, and acts several times like a woman-Child and she is fleeing from an adult man who picked his costume to terrify crimminals into submission.
Baby-Doll flees into a carnival ground filled with children, she has a Tommy-Gun on her, she’s still pretty much a direct threat to others, but the way Bruce approaches her does a complete 180. Bruce is calling out after her to stop fleeing, when she disappears into a tunnel, he’s telling her to stop not because he wants to arrest her, but because she’s going to hurt herself at this point. Baby-Doll is no longer a danger to others, she’s a danger to herself because she’s scared desperate, and fleeing, and instead of pursuing her to put her down Bruce is trying to stop her from getting hurt as she flees. This is also behavior he has shown to repeat, in Harley’s Holiday he pursues Harley the whole episode not to stop her because she’s on a crime spree, but because she’s freaking out and he doesn’t want her to be sent to Arkham and lose all the progress she made in her recovery.
Bruce pursues her into a mirror maze and this is where we get the most famous scene in the episode, Baby-Doll is still dead set on killing Bruce (this is also where Bruce shines, Baby-Doll is actively firing a gun at him and he is still calling out at her to stop because she might get hurt).
Baby Doll fires at the mirrors over and over again, until one of the funhouse mirrors shows her what she might look like as an adult, at which point not only does Baby-Doll come to a complete stop, but she talks not in her Baby Doll voice, but as Mary-Dahl.
Mary Dahl: Look. That’s me in there. The real me. Mary Dahl: There I am... BUt it’s not really real, is it? Mary Dahl: Just made up and pretend like my family, and my life and everything else. Mary Dahl: Why couldn’t you just let me Make believe?
She then grows angry at realizing that she is trapped on the other side of the mirror and will never exist in that adult body, she starts firing at every mirror around her trying to get batman who stalks her once again as an unspeaking shadow, until she gets impatient enough to destroy even the idealized image of herself represented in the funhouse mirror. At which point the gun itself runs out of ammo, and Mary breaks downc rying. At that point Batman could say that Mary is just throwing a tantrum, that being a washed up child star doesn’t entitle her to hurt others, he could say that her tears aren’t even real because Mary Dahl has pretended to be a child in order to manipulate other people and merit sympathy literally this whole episode. Bruce does not do any of that. Bruce’s only action after following her this whole time, is to remove the gun from her hands so she’s no longer capable of hurting someone, and then when she hugs him, to return her hug and comfort her.
Mary Dahl: I didn’t mean to...
Because, utlimately she’s a human being who needs help. It’s not Bruce’s job to pick and choose who deserves that help, it’s his job to help people who need it.
So yes, Bruce would have noticed right away that Shigarki wasn’t just a violent child, but a child who is clearly suffering from distress and lashing out. He wouldn’t just dismiss Shigaraki as an entitled man-child because as I’ve just demosntrated, Bruce had a situation where he frankly could have just dismissed Baby-Doll as a selfish an entitled vain womanchild and yet he didn’t do that. He saw a crying person in front of him, and he helped them, and he was even trying to help her before she started crying and asking for comfort like a more standard victim TM. Letting a child who shows clear signs of abuse like Shigaraki has go unhelped is not only out of character for Bruce, it basically is against everything he stands for as a hero.
And if you still don’t believe me on that, here’s a quote from the director of the final installment of the popular Arkham Series, “Arkham Knight”, a game that features a character Jason Todd who was similiarly groomed over a long period of time by batman’s arch enemy into an enemy for batman to fight.
#askspookies#batman#dc meta#dc comics#dc comics meta#batman meta#bruce wayne#btas#batman the animated series#shigaraki tomura#mha meta#metasks#ironically this long post is not bashing MHA for having dark heroes#as much as i love idealistic heroes my second favorite marvel hero after spiderman is daredevil#my third favorite is the punisher#though versions of the punisher that are aware#that he's not doing the right thing#the line between heroics as essentially volunteer work#and heroics as vigilanteism#is a fascinating concept to explore#jason todd is much more interesting as a violent drug lord who is still soft on victims#then he is as a much more sympathetic and palatable edgy anti hero with daddy issues#its just the extreme dissonance in mha in how the heroes are written#and how they are framed#my biggest example is hawks of course#hawks goes to extremely dark territory that makes for a fascinating character#only for hori to completely back off on that plot#and go back to framing hawks as an idealistic hero obsessed with saving people#that's just a clear example of having your cake and eating it too

Shark Attack (Leviathan x GN!MC)
Ft. Leviathan x GN!MC
C/W. Shark attack; Reader being called “ugly”; Cursing.
N.B. I name some minor characters for easy writing.
No proofread
You should have stayed at home.
You didn’t want to join diving trip with Karen, Jason, and Max. However, Karen managed to convince you to join her and the others. You knew that Karen invited you not out of the goodness of her heart, but to have someone inferior with her so that she could feel she was above someone else. And who could be a more perfect target for her than you? Airhead, clumsy, very normal with a face clearly inferior to her. Initially, you didn’t want to suffer going on a trip with her and her two “servants”. But when she described the beauty of the ocean and the aquatic creatures, you lost it. Your boyfriend, the Grand Admiral of Hell Leviathan, has a deep connection with the ocean and creatures within it. Yet you never had the chance to look at any of them in real life, except in the case of Lotan. (Henry 2.0 doesn’t count because he’s a fishbowl-bound goldfish).
On the day of the trip, you four met a man named Constantine, whom Karen hired to guide the group. At first, the trip was pleasant and enjoyable. With Constantine’s guidance, you were able to put on a diving suit and gear. Then you got to look at various colored fishes at a beautiful coral reef. You were also able to take a lot of pictures of the fishes. The only annoying thing was probably Karen’s constant demand to have her face in every picture the others took.
However, everything changed when Karen heard Constantine talk about a more beautiful coral reef quite far from where you were. Karen demanded Constantine to take them there. He objected at first, saying that he heard that people saw big and dangerous sharks there. But when Karen offered more money, Constantine accepted and took the whole group there. You did voice your objection with Constantine, but Karen shouted at you, telling you to shut your ugly mouth.
Karen’s demand was the beginning of a disaster…and a tragedy. Your boat entered the shark area and encoutered an unusually big Great White Shark. It attacked your boat and overturned it after a few tries. You all fell into the water, it hunting territory. With your might and strength, all of you tried to swim away, to a large rock nearby.
You managed to reach the rock, and while trying to climb on it. You heard a woeful scream. You turned around and saw Constantine being devoured between the jaws of the shark, turning a whole area of sea water red with blood.
“What d-do we do now? That monster is going to e-eat us like it h-has done with the old guy.” Max couldn’t stop shaking in his voice.
“From what I have observed, the rock we are standing on will submerge under the water when high tide comes around sunset. We must do something and not waiting for death.” Jason reported to Karen.
Karen looked at the overturned boat afar and then at the large fin moving within the vicinity around the rock.
“Someone has to swim to the boat and get the phone or the signal gun.” Karen said.
“Who’s gonna do that?” Max asked before realizing whom Karen was hinting.
“MC.”
“What?” You didn’t hear the conversation as you were sitting, trying to comprehend what had happened. You would have died today had you been the last of the escape group, with the jaws of the beast wrapping around you and tear you apart with its sharp teeth, chewing you like some meat gum.
“MC, we need you to swim to the boat over-there and get us a phone or a signal gun so that we can ask for a rescue team.”
“I-I c-can’t do that. There’s literally a hungry shark out there. Do you want me dead?” You shouted at Karen, while her two lap dogs looked back at you with threatening eyes.
“C’mon, MC. High tide is coming and this rock will soon submerge under the water. We can’t just sit around and wait for death.”
Knowing that you couldn’t fight all three of them, you reluctantly agreed. Jason even patted your shoulder and told you not to worry, while you were swimming, they would flap on the water so it would attract the shark away from you.
After calming yourself down, you entered the dangerous water and swam towards the boat, while the others created flapping sound on the other side of the rock to lure the shark away from you.
You managed to reach the boat safely and dived down to find the things Karen asked for under the overturned boat. You found your D.D.D floating on the water. Thanks Father it could still working. You also grabbed the flare gun among the things in Constantine’s bag.
Time to return. I can’t wait too much time here.
You left the boat and swam back to the large rock, carrying with you the hopes of the group.
However, the shark soon realized that it was being deceived. It turned its attention on you and began to chase you down.
Seeing the shark swimming at you with high speed, you began to swim faster and harder. When you nearly reached the rock, the shark also open its mouth and…
.
.
.
Sea water turned red with your blood as the shark managed to bite your thigh. It then dragged you across water, far from the rock.
When Karen saw the scene, she thought you would be done for and intended to shout to you to throw your phone and signal gun to them, but then she had a better idea. Taking the chance, the three of them swam towards the boat, abandoning you. They managed to turn the boat back, climbed on it and left.
What they didn’t expect was that you managed to escape the shark’s jaws. You shot the signal gun at the shark’s eyes, blinding it as you escaped back to the rock.
When you saw Karen’s group leaving you behind, you couldn’t help but cursed them under your breath. “Go die and rot in hell.”
You turned back to look at your wound. It was quite deep and the bleeding was constant. You gritted your teeth and washed the wound with sea water.
“Argh. Fuck.” You couldn’t help but cursed again. You continued to bear the pain as you bandaged it with the clothes you tore.
After dealing with the wound, you dialed Levi on your D.D.D.
“I’m on my way.” Levi said with a murderous tone even though you hadn’t explained anything to him.
The moment the call was cut off, you noticed the pact mark on your injured leg began to shine with a dark orange light. Then you looked at it closely, you discovered that the shark had bitten you right on the mark, making it soaked with your blood. Levi must have felt it so he was already on his way when you called him.
A few minutes ago, at the House of Lamentation, Levi was playing his game like any other day. He was even swearing at his bad teammates in a team game. Such team games made the third born miss you. To him, you were the best teammate he could ask for.
MC, I miss you so much. What are you doing now?
Suddenly, he got a tingling sensation. And he could smell blood. A demon’s nature told him it was his master’s blood.
Someone or something is threatening MC.
After that realization, Levi’s console dropped to the ground. A dark orange aura wrapped around him as his growl turned into snake’s hiss. His pupils constricted until they became vertical like snake’s eyes. His skin disappeared to make room for hard purple snake scales. His fangs grew longer and became as good as sharp swords. But the thing to watch out for was the poison & acidic liquid oozing out of the fangs.
Return to you, the sky suddenly darkened even though it wasn’t sunset yet. The pact connects a demon with their master. So you could feel Levi was nearby. You look at the sea and you just wanted to shout “OMG, there’s a big shadow under the water.”
Even the Great White Shark knew the danger and turned around to escape. But it was too late as Levi summoned a water blade. The blade traveled in water with sound speed and cut the shark in half.
“MC” the giant sea serpent emerged its head out of the water and turned to you. “You are badly wounded.”
“Yeah.”
“Let’s go back.”
“No, I still have something I want do do.”
Meanwhile, Karen and her two lap dogs were struggling to find direction to return to shore. However, they were completely lost as the compass was left at the treacherous water. Jason and Max were so pissed off that they began to argue and shout at each other. If Karen didn’t stop them, they would have fought each other.
Suddenly, something smashed into the boat, made it shake.
“What was that?” Karen asked as Max looked at the ocean before shouting. “SHARKS! L-LOTS OF THEM!”
Karen and Jason also looked at the ocean and panic soon filled their faces. Sharks, sharks were everywhere in the vast sea they were.
“Look, what’s that?” Jason pointed as the huge shadow under the water, in the centre of the shiver of hundreds of sharks.
The shadow soon emerged from the water, revealing a gigantic purple snake-like creature with two large corals as its horns. And there was something…someone sitting in the middle of the two horns.
“M-MC! I thought you w-were-were” Karen shouted, realizing it was you.
“Dead.” You finished the sentence for the girl. “Yeah, consider me dead but now I have returned from Hell, along with a part of its Navy under my command, to take you disgusting horrible sinners to Hell.”
“W-wait, let’s talk.”
But you didn’t want to hear another word from their mouths. Leviathan opened his mouth, spatting the acidic liquid at the boat. The boat melted into sea foam before turning into nothingness and the trio fell into the water.
“They’re yours.” Levi coldly said to his shark underlings.
The sea water was soon dyed red with blood, and the sound of waves were replaced by Karen and her lap dogs’ miserable screams. Soon the only thing left was a large pool of blood, but even it would dissipate in the vast ocean.
Nothing was left of this trip. No witness, no evidence, the only things remaining of the horrible trip were the photos of fishes and aquatic creatures you took. You took out your D.D.D and deleted all of them. You just wanted to forget this horrible memory.
“MC, I will take you to another ocean trip, to make wonderful memories, if you want.”
“Thank you, Levi. But I already had enough sea and ocean for today.”
“Including me?” Levi’s vertical orange pupils constricted further more, sadness in his eyes.
“No, not you, Levi. I’ll never be tired of you. Mmm, let’s go home.”
“Ok.”
With that, you and Levi, together with the Shark Squad of Hell’s Navy, disappeared from sight. A few days later, rescue teams were sent out to look for your companions, but to no avail. Nothing was found. Your companions’ disappearance became one of the most mysterious missing cases at sea.

I’d love to hear more about your space themed magical girl if it’s okay to ask!
of course!!! I love talking about my girlie
So, this is Tsuki Hikaru, aka the Starlit Sonata (people refer to her just by "Sonata" tho, the starlit part is optional). She didn't start out as a magical girl, hell I wouldn't have even considered her main character when I first conjured her up. Waaaayyy back in like, 2018(?), Tsuki was the bitchy twin sister of my primary danganronpa oc, Junko (who I think was just "Jun" at the time? side tangent sorry. also a lot of my ocs started out as dr ocs, i just realized). They had a horrible relationship and Tsuki was all high and mighty about being the favorite child and neither of them were happy about the fact that they were related. But that's long in the past because nowadays in this story they have a very good relationship and are Besties!!! or they were before Junko died tragically a little before the events of the plot began. Sad.
(^ girl who haunts the narrative) (also just realized i don't have any drawings of them actually together??? wack) (also also a detail that I want to people to notice is that they each have one half of one of those bff heart necklaces that you can put together. i thought it would be cute)
Anyway. With regards to Sonata, her space-theming really only extends to night-sky theming. She's all stars and moons and glittery sparkles. The girl literally glows in the dark. i like to imagine she has special effects that go off when she moves. like she'll be magically skating around and she'll leave behind a trail of sparks as she glides around- probably has the ability to just summon a bunch of stardust that she throws in people's eyes like it's attack glitter. This is all kinda funny considering her powers are mainly ice-themed? she's got ice powers, no correlation with her outfit other than the color Blue.
Tsuki is a very cheery and friendly person who, despite having experienced many tragedies in her life (the loss of her identical twin + the earlier death of her parents), always tries to be optimistic. She's very emotionally-intelligent and understanding. She has the typical cartoon friend group of like, her 3 closest friends in the world and nobody else. There's Skye, Donovan, and Chaoxiang. The latter being the childhood best friend bi4bi love interest who is also incredibly integral to the overarching plot that I will not mention here bc it is late and i am Tired.
After gaining her powers, she sees becoming a hero as the next logical step. Like, to her it's sort of an obligation. She has the ability to save people, so she has to save people. She's literally the only person on the planet (which i should mention is Not earth. long story short it exploded humans left in ships for new worlds, one went off course and landed up on [placeholder planet name] and assimilated so well with the local population it was like they had always been there) who can fight against the monsters that have been showing up and wrecking havoc. Also, I want to mention that I'm going with the trope of "regular people become Corrupted by evil object and the hero has to beat it out of them in order to save them" bc it slaps what can I say. Tsuki's out here strangling a demonic dog creature with a whip (which is the weapon she can summon from nothing) and after a bit a shard pops out of its head and it just, poofs back into being a regular dog person.
This is all very disjointed bc I am Tired but I would be glad to answer any more questions!!! Actually talking to someone about this would be a great way to like, come up with a solid plot bc right now it's mostly "would that be cool or what"
#ask rosie a question!#deityofhearts#very disjointed i know. i just have lots of thoughts about her lol#tsuki my favorite child <333 (constantly tied with Angie)#Tsuki Hikaru (oc)#Starlit Sonata (oc)#oc tag#original character

One of the terrible things about a new Special Interest™ is inevitably running into Bad Takes, and I think I'm going to have to break this into chunks, since the last time I did longform writing I was also dealing with a stomach flu, so I was more incoherent than usual.
I watched a Youtube video, and I'm not about to become the kind of person who writes in comment sections. The two most egregious failings were that Chisato didn't get development and he took Majima seriously (That's going to have to be it's own post, so I don't go apeshit over the "Indirect kiss" interpretation.)
I don't have a big gripe, there was some good information (I hadn't heard the "unfilmable" version ended with them drowning the bad guys in a pool of blood, which while METAL isn't going to get a Sanrio crossover like the broadcast version.) The guy has the other brand of brainworms, but some of my most cherished screencaps are from 4chan Toonami liveblogs where anons are talking about loving LycoReco, so insert that "I love this thing"/"Worst guy you ever met " cartoon I usually reserve for gunpla discussions.
I think part of it is not getting "Takina as transfer student" which I got after watching PMMM (Yes, I watched it due to the Homura/Takina post, but that's a photoset in drafts). Chisato is an established character, and we're introduced to her legend and lore (heck we only hear about her dog from a picture) while we're introduced with Takina and see her evolve, in comparison, we unlock Chisato lore, but we see her change in response to Takina .
We're introduced to her having already rejecting assassination for pacifism, having literally built a Coffeeshop AU for herself, and already having accepted her own death (like an actual Stoic) and dedicating herself to being remembered fondly by people she's helped. In a way, we see parts of this in flashback, but it's still there for sequels and Gaiden stories. If we see Chisato go to living her own life AND Takina taking back her agency from DA the story feels used up.
Which isn't to say by not having an "arc" Chisato doesn't change. We see her close the Coffee shop once she gets an actual estimate of how long she's got to live, which again I see people confused by. Given how much we see Chisato lied to, even with her best interests, like Mika's heartwrenching confession scene, she likely hasn't been given an actual life expectancy. It was genuinely horrifying to learn the Lycoris service lasts until 18 from Mika and Yoshi's conversation that that was when her heart would probably give out, and then find out she's 17 during the series. (Which makes Yoshi's plan of attack take place when he knows all the more disgusting).
But she realizes she doesn't have much time left she stops playing a waitress to get her affairs in order, like her "dying wish" to get Takina reinstated in DA she's taken care of (as much as DA can care). Likewise, she violates her code against killing twice, using live conventional ammo to save Takina, and again to throw herself and Majima off the tower while she's disabled and he threatens Takina.
Admittedly, I feel like I'm rehashing my gripe about the RLM Predator video where I complain a lot of people haven't been in a deadly situation, so seeing a depiction of someone in those situations doesn't read right to them, but I've engaged in the least American of Pastimes, contemplating my own mortality and deciding whether my sense of morality is worth my own life or someone else's. So I feel like it's a mug's game to say character development only occurs in an arc just as much as the people who see everything in TV Tropes lists.
#lycoris recoil#I've adopted Chisato as my SHORDURPERSAV for the duration of the emergency#so don't talk smack about her

MayBlade Day 3
Day 3 Prompt: Pets ———
Despite being the one teaching Ginga how to control his shifting and about merfolk in general, Kazuo hadn't actually gone swimming with the other mer since the day they’d met. Mostly due to conflicting schedules or the time of day, but he was sure Ginga was still going swimming, so that at least was good enough.
Except now, apparently he wasn’t swimming, Ryo told him- he’d been too afraid to since Kazuo had gotten attacked by someone, and hadn’t stepped foot or fin in the ocean since. That was definitely a problem.
So he sat down with Ginga, talked it over with him a little, and clearly the kid wanted to swim, he just… was scared he’d get hurt or nearly seen, he didn’t want to be the reason someone bad got ahold of someone with mer blood. (he silently resolved to talk to Ryo about that particular part later- Ginga’s first concern being that him being caught would put them in danger was not a comforting realization)
But one thing at a time, and luckily this should be pretty simple- just find a nice, empty part of the beach, one most people didn’t know existed, and make sure it’s far away from where Kazuo was seen. Then he just had to arrange a day for all of them to be there. Him, Ginga, Ryo- he even invited Hyoma along, since he knew about both of them and Ginga would probably feel better with his friend there.
Once the place and time were arranged, Ginga was still nervous but willing to go, and as it got closer he was even getting excited for it, reminding Hyoma every day to make sure he’d really be able to go, and checking the weather a bit obsessively to make sure they wouldn’t get stormed out. Thankfully, when the day arrived it seemed like it would go completely as planned.
…Except that Kazuo was late. Almost an hour late by now, having been trapped in a conversation with one of his coworkers who didn’t take ‘I have to take my boyfriend’s son swimming’ as a good excuse to duck out, because he was an ass like that.
He stumbled his way through the rocks, only relaxing a little when he heard laughter drifting over the breeze, and nearly fell down the small but steep hill that was the last hurdle down to the beach, already breathlessly apologizing when he caught sight of them.
“Kaz!” Ryo lit up upon seeing him, jumping to his feet to catch him and press a quick kiss to his cheek, “it’s okay, we’re just glad you made it!”
He chuckled, returning the kiss before pulling away to smile apologetically at Ginga, genuinely feeling bad for being so late. “I’m sorry, Ginga, one of my coworkers held me up, I got here as fast as I could.”
Ginga shook his head, smiling up at Kazuo from where he was laying in the shallow water, and flicked his tail up to splash him with a little giggle. “It’s okay! ‘M just glad you’re here- Hyoma brought Hokuto, too!” Hyoma nodded from his side, and the small dog sniffing the water in front of them suspiciously looked up to bark at Kazuo, tail giving a little wag.
“That’s Kazuo,” Ginga hummed in response to the sound, “he’s half mermaid too, and he’s been teaching me a lot- he’s also really nice and knows a ton about the ocean!”
…Sure, Ginga talks to the dog, not any weirder than Kazuo himself talking to various sea creatures, really.
“Well it’s very nice to meet Hokuto,” he chuckled, crouching down to get a better look at the dog, “does he know any tricks?” For some reason both kids snickered at that, with Ginga pushing himself up more to nod excitedly. “Yep! He’s really smart, he knows all kinds of things!”
Now Ryo was chuckling, and Kazuo glanced back at him, raising an eyebrow and wondering if there was some joke he was missing. But Ryo just smiled and waved him off, and he looked genuine enough to believe, so he just let Hokuto sniff his hand and gave him a brief scratch behind the ears before standing up and slipping out of his shoes, kicking them aside where they would hopefully avoid getting wet before stepping in to join the boys in the water.
He sighed when he felt the water wrap around him, closing his eyes when he shifted and taking a moment to stretch out his tail, hearing nothing but the water bubbling around him- he could truly never get tired of this, and he sincerely hoped it would be the same for Ginga.
Right, today is for him-
Kazuo surfaced quickly once he’d remembered, swimming back towards shore to join the boys still in the shallows, but he got a bit distracted when he noticed Ryo- red faced, mouth open slightly- and with a start, he realized this was the first time his boyfriend had actually seen his tail.
Hopefully that’s a good reaction…?He flicked his tail up as a sort of greeting, feeling his own face warm, and Ryo squeaked, bringing a hand up to cover his mouth and hurriedly looking away, looking like he was having some kind of crisis.
“Ginga, you might want to tell your dad to avoid getting in the water until he remembers how to breathe,” a gruff voice snapped Kazuo out of his staring, immediately put him on alert, but no, it was just the four of them, plus Hyoma’s dog sitting at the edge of the water.
But I could’ve sworn I heard someone…
Ginga rolled his eyes at his dad and briefly stuck his tongue out. “Daaad, Hokuto says to stop being gross!” …what?
Kazuo watched as Ryo sputtered, somehow blushing even more when he looked back over, gaze flicking between Ginga and the dog. “W-well- tell Hokuto to mind his own business!”
“When are you gonna realize that I can understand you just fine you birdbrain?”
The dog looked up and barked at Ryo, he knew it barked, he heard it bark-“And when you’re gaping like a fool in front of everyone it is my business! Do you have no self-control?? No shame??”
…the dog is talking.
Kazuo breathed out slowly, narrowing his eyes at Hokuto. I’m hearing the dog talk. I’m hearing him scold Ryo of all things- but it sounds like Ryo can’t understand him…?
His gaze snapped over to Ginga, because it had definitely seemed like he’d heard it earlier, but now he was just grinning and trying to urge his dad into the water with them, giving no real indication that he’d heard it this time. Maybe it was just a lucky guess? But that doesn’t explain him talking in the first place-
Hyoma pushed off the rock he was sitting on and slipped into the water next to him, chuckling and giving him a pat on the shoulder. “I’m guessing you hear him too?”
“Too?” he echoed, looking at Hyoma in interest, “so- so I wasn’t just imagining it-” “Nope,” the boy shook his head, now wearing a grin to match Ginga’s, “He can talk! But it’s only to merfolk, so Ginga can only understand him when he’s got his tail. Same for you, probably.”
“But why?” he tried to press, “how??”
Hyoma just shrugged, as if that was any acceptable answer, and went over to jump at Ginga, trying to pull him into the deeper water, acting like a dog talking to merfolk was a perfectly normal situation.
Kazuo sighed, cast the dog one last baffled look, and just resolved to deal with this whole thing later. ——— Kazuo belongs to @artisadie, a good friend of mine! Check out her blog for some FANTASTIC art of him and Ryo!!

This is a list of scripted ABC shows from the last season. I haven't heard of most of them because I'm not 63 so I'm going to guess what they are about from the titles and then check and see how right I was. Or if my idea is better.
1. The Conners was that reboot / sequel of Roseanne. But then Roseanne was insane and racist in real life so they kicked her off of it. I assume it was retooled to now be about the family becoming private eyes and traveling from town to town in a gadget-loaded super RV, solving mysteries.
You should all note before I go on that most of what I know about network television comes from the 70s and 80s. Back when it was also cheap and lame, but at least fun.
2. Abbott Elementary. Probably just Community / The Office, but in an elementary school filled with a diverse cast of quirky characters who only seem to date each-other. I bet they do a lot of jokes about helicopter parents and people getting offended by seemingly innocuous things. There is probably a sassy brown person whose culture is played for light-hearted comic relief.
3. Station 19. Firefighter show, where all the firefighters look like soap opera actors. Most of the show is people having arguments and making out, then like 3 times a season stunt people in face-hiding fire gear fight a big fire inspired by some thing that happened in the news around the time they were filming the show. I bet the tag line is "And you thought the hottest action would be the fires!" Occasionally old actors from 80s movies will cameo as someone's parents. I am falling asleep just typing about it.
4. Grey's Anatomy. Oh my god. In real life these people would have retired from being bad doctors by now. Or be in jail.
5. The Rookie. I looked this one up due to the last post. Nathan Fillion plays a 50 year old rookie LAPD officer. Because they wanted to do a cop show with him but he's too old for that, without the premise. He probably has to learn about diversity and drugs or something. No one ever gets shot and they don't show LAPD white supremacist cop-gangs doing dog fights or anything. Wasted potential.
6. The Goldbergs. I've heard of this. It was some writer's Everybody Hates Chris about his 80s secular Jewish family. Obnoxious old people watched it to be reminded about how they just don't make good rock music like that anymore, man, because they are too old and lazy to go find new music they might like via streaming platforms. It has been cancelled. Good, if only to spare me that recurring conversation with people I don't like.
7. Home Economics. A rich white homemaker lady gets divorced and has to get a job as a home ec teacher at a public junior high to make ends meet? And she slowly learns to laugh and love again, while also coming to realize that poorer people are good for more than just mowing your lawn. There are hijinks about her wearing $600 shoes that get covered in cake batter. She has to rent part of her house out to an Indian immigrant family. Starring Delta Burke from 1995.
8. The Good Doctor. Ha ha ha. That show about an autistic doctor, except Hollywood doesn't know what autism actually is so he's just a deranged lunatic who gets away with shitty behavior because he's good at hearts.
But not in the fun, House MD, way.
9. The Rookie: Feds. This got cancelled so that means it was bad, even by low network TV cop show standards. I don't even know how to do that. Uh...some 50 year old TV actress I probably wouldn't recognize quits being a crime professor to become an FBI agent, after her son FBI agent goes missing under mysterious circumstances? And it ended in a cliffhanger when she got attacked by a polar bear in the middle of the jungle.
10. Not Dead Yet. My Name is Earl, but if Earl was a nice zombie. He has a best friend guardian angel played by Jaleel White.
...This actually just sounds like Highway to Heaven, if Michael Landon had been a zombie. And instead of brains he eats Jell-O, and he can take his limbs off and send them into air ducts and up drain pipes to help people, like trained rats.
...I'd watch a couple episodes of that, I guess.
11. Will Trent. Oh give me a break.
Okay. There is guy named Will Trent, who is on the run from the...CIA, because he was with them but then someone framed him for killing the Speaker of the House with a poisoned lapel pin. He now travels from town to town, helping average people and their sexy sisters out of jams, while also trying to figure out who framed him and what their master plan is, to clear his name.
The last season ended with it looking like the real villain is the First Lady, who belongs to some ill-defined anti-America cult.
It's probably based on a book series from the early 2000s that only the loudest uncles read.
12. Big Sky. Some cowboy thing, probably. Where all the cowboys are hunky stoic white men who are millionaire ranch owners. But you are still supposed to sympathize with all their "we gotta keep a-hold of this land at any cost" violent toxic male shit, because you are a postmenopausal my mother and want to have sex with these men.
It's one of those shows that just "accidentally" has zero POC cast members, who aren't one-shot drug-runners or coyotes or thugs hired by rival ranch owners.
One-shot because that is how all of their characters are killed.
It probably got cancelled when some writer got smart and tried to do a thinly-veiled anti-Trump allegory and all the Evangelicals turned on it. Tucker Carlson probably got mad about it for 3 minutes, before he interviewed some Russian politician about how the Ukrainians hate Jesus.
13. The Company You Keep. Black women try starting and running a bakery. It quickly devolved into a romantic melodrama. Black audiences never cared and white audiences wanted more sexy rich cowboys.
I don't know. It's ABC. Every seasonal lineup has at least a couple token shows starring POCs that get immediately cancelled after one season, because they aren't serious attempts at anything outside of the politics and so never connect with an audience.
Also all of them are still written by white men, so what chance could any of them have, really?
14. Alaska Daily. Northern Exposure, but the protagonist edits a news blog when not busy solving quirky small-town mysteries. The Janitor from Scrubs might be in it.
...Well. WAS in it.
This Twin Peaks thing is hard to pull off in a compelling way unless you are willing to go kookoo-bananas with it.
15. A Million Little Things. This one "ended," which means the cast wanted too much money after so many seasons, so "the producers had always planned from the beginning to wrap things up after 5 seasons."
It was probably one of those shows that just follows a "typical American family," which happens to have soap opera problems every week based on things the writers heard CNN say people in the Midwest are mad enough over to vote for Trump again.
It probably had a regular cast of like 16 people, and was on the giant TV in the showroom of every US car dealership at least once. Until someone changed it to that show which is just Kitchen Nightmares, but Gordon Ramsey has been replaced by a balding round man who lacks his charm and good heart and is just an asshole to struggling restaurateurs.
You know the one.
Or, at least, your parents do.
Update: The Conclusion

Louiee how r we handling the whole “my boyfriends a dog” thing
"Oh, you guys know about that."
Louiee twiddles absently at the necklace in his hands, gaze falling to the side in thought.
"Erm," he eventually speaks up, "I wouldn't say things are bad, but I won't pretend I'm not concerned."
"Baxier has a lot going on in his head, way more than people realize, and he sucks when it comes to talking about any of it… Dumbie still thinks I know nothing about the frequent daymares."
"I guess, well, as someone who has also been through a sudden transformation, who knows exactly how jarring it can be, I'm worried about what he's thinking and I wish I could say for sure he's telling me everything."
There’s a slight shrug as he continues. "I think I'm just being overly cautious in the end. He's been keeping to the hive since the attack, and I'm not used to it. Really, I'm hoping someone drags him out soon or I might just have to do it myself!"

Big Ol’ Honkin’ OC Question List
((Heh! It's no problem!
It is fairly long, so I'm putting most of it under cut.
Also some heavier stuff mentioned for A13 - I put some warnings for it before the answer.))
A10. Does your OC compromise easily? Too easily?
((She compromises fairly easily? I wanna say that she's open to acknowledging that she doesn't always know best and there are a lot of places she's willing to surrender ground on for the sake of better relations. She just doesn't have the interest or energy for prolonged conflict.
There are definitely some places she has harder lines on, but she's willing to settle on a lot. Maybe too much? But being agreeable and not pressing issues has kept her from generally pissing off the wrong people and let's her keep her options open.))
A13. Does your OC have any phobias? If so, where did they come from?
Mentions of: Horror, Gore, Torture, Suicide, Child death
((Dogs and red lights are the big ones. She and her family were attacked by a pair of Black Dogs when she was young - the monstrous kind, not... ordinary dogs. She was the only survivor of the attack. Dogs scare her, especially large and/or dark-colored ones, or if teeth ever become visible. Skulls are mostly fine, werewolves - particularly ones like hers that aren't overly wolf-like - are fine. The junkyard owner's dobermans are not.
She's seen those dogs eat human flesh from a zombie. She does not like them.
The red lights are more recent, within the last few years, and they kind of tie together a few different experiences: the red emergency lighting in a bunker where she was tortured and in a youth clubhouse where she discovered the mass suicide and murder of their members, the taillights flashing in a haunted parking garage where staring ghosts wearing children's faces forced her to play with them, the red-red bed and John violating her memories...
Sheer (@asmallredlight and @atinyredlight) are exceptions. They're safe and comforting, and assurance that someone beloved is watching her back.))
A20. Are they harsh on themselves?
((She can be. She's very strong, and people on a large scale can live or die by her actions, successes and failures. To some degree she (thinks she) has to be, because if she lets herself get sloppy, it's other people that are going to be paying the price.
She also comes from a very strict upbringing. As much progress as she's made in recovering from that, some of it still sticks to her.))
B10. Does your OC find any “bad” or “mean” humor funny? Do they wish they didn’t?
((Sometimes! :'D She's in a pretty crappy world surrounded by pretty awful people, there's plenty of dark and gallows humor to go around. And she's awful at being someone who anxious laughs and jokes too.
She is usually very well-behaved and doesn't go out of her way to be mean to people, but she is also holding on to her fair share of bitterness and sometimes your best friend makes a mean joke that just manages to kill you.))
B14. Do they have people they are genuinely honest with about themselves?
((She tries to be, with several people. She's very uncomfortable with the idea of people seeing her as more than she is or feeling misled when they realize there are other facets to her than the ones they've seen.))
C4. Do they consider themselves superior or more important than anyone else? Lesser?
((Beyond the fact that she does have actual superpowers and The Powers That Be have actually interceded on her behalf, she thinks of herself as being pretty on par with everyone else really. As far as she knows, there was nothing particularly exceptional about her that got her chosen - and she's just trying to make the best with what she's got and be responsible about.
She did grow up thinking and being told that she was lesser/broken/wrong/etc... But she's been working on it. She's at a point where most days she's alright with herself now, though spirals definitely still happen.))
D2. Do they believe in an afterlife?
((She knows for a fact one exists! She's been to the other side of the living world - where ghosts haunt - on many occasions. And she's aware of a Sea of Souls and successfully pulled actual Romanian prince Vlad Dracula back from it for a time. She's also weighed hearts against the feather of Ma'at and offered the impure to Ammit the Devourer.
So. Afterlife is definitely a thing that applies to most people, though some are eaten by a crocodile-hippo-demon. Hers specifically is a little broken though.))
E6. Do they enjoy learning? Do they actively seek out sources of self-education?
((She does! She is absolutely an overgrown nerd and her job often involves extensive research. Having access to both the Illuminati's extensive records and the Buzzing as an essentially living database were among the biggest perks of getting dragged into this whole mess.
There's also the matter of her 'twin' over at @creepy-crowlies who she's encouraged to pursue her own education with Crowley offering to help cover any costs in exchange for Other Meredith sharing what she's learned.))
F8. How often are they home?
((It varies. When she's off-assignment, she technically works from home as the archive she's in charge of is connected to the house via a passageway in the basement. Mostly she just pulls any materials she's working on upstairs and handles a lot office duties in her living room.
When she isn't in the house itself, she still typically keeps to the island it's on - gardening, exercising, helping out with the community, etc.
She's usually out most of the day on Tuesdays, leaving her home universe completely to talk to her therapist and then running any outside errands she has.
On-assignment, she'll typically stay in the field for days to maybe a couple weeks at a time. Teleporting home is an option, but she often feels guilty about leaving when other people involved generally can't or she just can't pull herself away from whatever she's working on.
She also takes a yearly vacation the week around March 15, when she and her family were attacked, to visit their grave, a good friend that took care of her for a time after they passed, and usually somewhere else. She went to Australia this year.))
F11. What are some of their favorite things to do for recreation? How did they get into it? What part of it do they like the most?
((She likes gardening and cooking, things she picked up from the woman who helped raise her mentioned above! Just quiet and peaceful activities to keep her hands busy, cultivating growth and life and giving her a way to take care of others. She enjoys playing music - piano mostly at the moment - and solving puzzles for similar 'hands busy, mind moderately engaged' reasons.
She's taken to doing more physically engaging activities as well, like running, climbing, and sparring. Mostly because she noticed she felt better when she was more active on the job, and was restless when she stayed in. :p Even just going out to smash up junk cars helped bring down her nervous energy when she's been upset, so beyond keeping her fit, it helps her better manage her anxiety.))
G6. Do they have any favorite childhood memories?
((She has a few vague memories of her family that are very precious to her, like playing teacher to her younger brother in her dad's office or her mom rescuing her from slipping on the kitchen floor by sitting her on the counter to help do dishes. And there are the memories of the time spent with Marlene, the woman who helped raise her, in the kitchen and in the gardens, or sitting with her when she wasn't feeling well.
She may kind of, sort of remember calling Marlene mom when she was very sick once, how tight Marlene hugged her for it, and how safe she felt at the time.
And more recently, some magical shenanigans might have left her with an altered set of memories of a very kind skeleton who watched movies with taught her how to do origami. :>))
H7. What do they look for in partners? (Emotionally, mentally, physically..)
((At one time, the answer would have been 'woman willing to have sex with her (and hopefully fuck her up in the process),' eheh... :'D She's in a different place now.
Right now, she's finding herself drawn more to comfort, stability, and security. She hopeful for the long-term and domesticity, someone she can be affectionate and laugh with and feel safe around, who will tolerate if not engage with her bouts of silliness. And... hopefully someone who can be patient with her being nervous and worrying too much at times, and her also having a dangerous, high-risk job.
...She may also still have a thing for monster women and finds claws very attractive.
She's quite happily spoken for at the moment. :>))

I answered this before, but there is some fairly interesting lore behind my drama specifically in the Trigun fandom (Answer number one for me). So, my first fandom where I had a lot of drama: Part of my drama was caused by me being really overly religious at the time and encountering the concept of fandom yaoi on the Internet and just not liking it. I became one of those annoying "fandom moral guardians." Hence why I've learned and grown - ditched old dogmas, realized my aversion to the very much horny in all fandoms was just my asexuality at work and got over it. Another half of it was me gaining an online friendship with someone who, at first, was on my same page, but then became very much a horny and shipping obsessive and got REALLY into insisting upon their every ship (which changed week to week) was CANON and if you didn't see it, you were an idiot who clearly did not have the super-secret media literacy vision that they had. They also liked to start shit with a specific group of other fans and then play poor wounded lamb when the group acted predictably to that. This ex-friend realized that I'm kind of a lion and was ready to come to their defence when I thought people were being unfair to them, but in the end, it just made me a wank-twin. There was a point at which I realized that I was just being manipulated and used as an attack dog when my friend just never listened to me when I told them to just leave things alone. They eventually just got grating to me with that trying to convince me I was dumb for not seeing the "super secret coded canon" that they were seeing and a few other things. (I think what took the cake was when they were transitioning and told me, thinking it was a compliment, that I "had to be a man because I was too smart to be a woman." Ugh, ick! It's like... sorry, I'm cis. Also, cis or trans, women are not some inferior separate species, dipshit). I ditched the friendship - probably in a more dramatic fashion than necessary. They sniped at me, I sniped back at them. The entire fandom (or at least our Livejournal corner of it) saw it all. People outside the fandom on little forums we were both on saw it. Asshole started attacking my fiance', putting the fanfiction he created as a gift to me up on a harsh fanfiction-critical site (because they couldn't attack me directly. Even people who didn't like me sort of conceeded that I was a decent writer, even back then and attacking me directly would have been sussed out as petty, so they went for people I loved, knowing my unhinged "lion" tendencies). It was a whole mess. Having returned to the renewed old fandom, I'm glad to see that I do not see hide nor hair of my old frienemy. I've joked with my partner that "they've probably joined Q-Anon or something" because that's how unhinged I think they are. Who knows? I'm dead certain that they wrote up a review of Trigun that used to exist on TV Tropes (before they got rid of their analysis sections) that was absolutely, utterly WRONG because that analysis was a specific kind of wrong that fit their weird pet theories to a T. They were truly reading some kind of alternate-dimension version of the manga.
How big was the drama if you did?

All as someone believed a story of a sequence of retribution will be much more appealing than a lie on wandering through an abandoned museum. Even if—and it’s a very, really deep if—her death would take triggered a vaccine, letting that to happen would be harsh and wrong. With your doctor, more than everybody also, must complete that. Certainly in your own fraught times we should realize now the way tough coming up with a vaccine is—and destroying the lone specimen which can hold the answer is not only inappropriate and wrong, it’s magnificently stupid. It is worth mentioning though which the original flavor in the Past people TELEVISION line has previously created to stand seeds for the storyline of The Last of US Part II Download PC . Components in the capital of Jackson were presented from the TELEVISION present which was there really observed from the tough, along with the rag of a few characters has too already happened.
Clocking inside in in 24 times, the sequel is doubly slow because it is predecessor. Portion of which is a prerequisite, while their revealing the chronicle involving a couple different individuals whose journeys run like one another. Though, I don’t always grow the logic that event is central as Bad Dog can repeat itself much more. Several beats in Abbey’s story tend to retread already identified beliefs about the meaning gray sectors of violent conflict. We constantly see “bad man” reframed as “good guys,” something that’s already well confirmed by the two-protagonist arrangement in the game.
We have one who is a lesbian and one who is bi. And they're a few, so that not like they're running wild spreading gayness everywhere. If a up for that high doesn't The Last people Part II Download PC also offer sufficient gay characters to make winning a ABBA tribute band, there probably isn't the goals in play.Manny is proven to be rest with lots of women.
The Last People Pc Download Justified with Less than 140 Characters
What gets to the sequel different is the system this makes you ask the activities. You don’t just kill people; you see the ramifications. Performing as Abby was finally annoying, not since she experienced from devote the tale, yet since she think from set up the The Last people Part II Download PC game. Part of the core gameplay loop in The Last people is to search for stores, requiring you to listen to every corner and split in each situation. The good comments to the gameplay loop consists in improving core weapons for your character.
She’s a one-note figure that, away from stay a killer, does really crappy devices to help communities she thoughts on. Only stopped that five mins back, I did that a7/10 then the lie is allana on the house. The amount of times where i could download the last people part ii Ellie and dina survived was crazy with toward significantly, and Killing all but they turn out ahead. Although i believe how everything else works. Graphically along with the severe in this activity does deserve some awards.
Ignoring the fact you now are talking like the Hulk, no it isn't. For example, the woman which was the style for Abby's body. Before the casualty regarding the woman minister with when she's been thought hostage for many months, her is much less toned. You don't like the means she seems also feel she has too many muscles? Think what, she's not here that you think she's hot.
It’s as grim and poor like everything we’ve seen around here. The earlier is a knot of earlier rebels that move away the burdens of a tyrannical post-apocalyptic administration also build their own quasi-fascistic organization. They’ve taken in Abby with another former Fireflies, like Owen. (They’re not a few the last people part 2 download pc anymore, but Abby and Owen have sexual from the sport despite Owen’s current girlfriend becoming extremely, precise pregnant. Because Abby is the worst). In Seattle, two parties do fight as Ellie and Abby go over the metropolis, Ellie searching for Abby to get revenge, while Abby looks for her wayward ex-boyfriend, Owen.
