HI. I SAW YR REQUESTS ARE OPEN AND I DESPERATELY NEED CHUBBY READER X KNIVES.
I always thought Kni would be fascinated with a chubby human. they are soft and squishy and kind even when he’s mean to them and thats not something he associates with humans often so ywah.!
if you cant tell I love this guy.

YEAAAAA FUCK YEAH I LIKE WHERE YOUR HEAD’S AT—[checks ur bio]—QUEEN. Oh man, I love doing requests so much, y’all come to me with the fuckin’ sickest ideas. Also thank you for handing me a Nai GIF on a silver plater that’s v helpful of you ✨

TW/CWs: Nai is Nai (both /pos and /neg), romance is implied but tbh this could all be read as platonic, written with TriStamp Nai in mind but feel free to slot your favorite version in here if you so choose, the words fat and chubby are used neutrally and interchangeably to describe the reader, Nai has feelings he refuses to unpack, barely proofread but I appreciate spellchecks.
A/N: I was a little stuck on how I wanted to do this but God, once I found that groove it was insane. Like… the physical softness mixing with the emotional softness of the reader? That’s some fun stuff to explore to me, so I really hope you like it!
Likes and Reblogs are always appreciated, Requests are open, and it’s all under the cut!

SO let’s get into it, yeah? I’ve seen crews on the SEEDS ship in both versions of the anime and everyone there is fit as hell so like??? Honestly with his hermit lifestyle, I’d say there’s a non-zero chance of you being one of if not the first fat person he’s ever met personally.
I don’t think it changes much of his perception of you at first—humans are humans, regardless of shape—but there is something interesting about how you just... take it? When he talks shit about humanity? Like he calls humanity a parasite, a disease, and instead of shrinking or averting your gaze from him for the rest of the day you ask him if he’s hungry. Him. Hungry. What??
He’s not shy about his confusion. After a couple notable instances of this he straight up just asks why you’re so unbothered by it when every other human he has to deal with has some kind of sore spot about it. Maybe humans didn’t treat you well either, so you agree with him. He understands. Maybe you want to see what happens with a Plant in charge. He thinks you’re insane, and tells you so, but doesn’t otherwise hurt you (not while you’re still useful and… interesting.) Maybe you just think he still deserves to be listened to despite it all. Isn’t it a basic need to be listened to? That reminds him of some people he’d rather not think about. He probably ignores you for a while after that.
But you can’t even let him ignore you! You still come to him, unlike anything he’d ever seen with your soft hands and body, offering warm words and attention despite his clear (surface-level) distaste for whatever it is you have to say.
You know lonely when you see it, and you’re persistent. An unstoppable force meets an immovable object until one day, when he’s feeling especially raw he just breaks. He doesn’t shatter completely, but there’s cracks in his facade when he lets you wrap your arms around his shoulders and give him a squeeze, assuring him that he doesn’t have to return the embrace if he doesn’t want to. And he doesn’t, for the record, he just wants to… sit in it. Your body keeps heat better than his ever could—it’s the one drawback of being a Plant at times—and you’re soft, both around his neck and in his ears as you just stand there, breathing. He can feel your heartbeat and you’re not even a little frightened, even after seeing first hand the kind of terror he puts in the hearts of your fellow humans.
He can’t remember the last time someone hugged him. Probably not since her. It makes him bitter, but at the same time he dares not push you away. Not yet, at least. You’re a human, and to him you’re either insane or stupid to think he’ll spare you at the end of this, but… you’re still useful for now. He’ll keep you and your soft body within arm’s reach, letting you wrap around him so he could feel the warmth of another body. You can stay until he’s certain he can be rid of you.
Whenever that might be.

@raccoonzaggoon I got your ask but it glitched out in my inbox! I hope you don’t mind me answering this way!
Hiiiiii... whats uppp.. its me againnnnn..:D Noticed your requests were still open and have another prompt for you :3 Can we get a Kni x neurodivergent reader.? Someone who has been outcasted by Society because their brain works differently. Someone who sees The reason and knis cause and wants to help but get so frustrated when they can't because their brain is working against them and Kni comforts them. (In his own way. because hes kni of course hes not actually gonna admit he likes this person and understands were they are coming from.) thanks so much.! I love how you write him btw its so cannon to me. :3
First of all: I’m glad to see you again! It makes me so happy to know you love my Nai writing so much, he’s very fun to write for <3
Secondly: I ADORE this idea, it’s coming right up!

TW/CW: I sound like a broken record but Nai is Nai, reader is gender neutral, reader has a bit of a meltdown and bites their tongue pretty hard, reader has abandonment issues and a complex internal relationship with their family, a lot of this is based off my own experience of being autistic, very much based on TriStamp Nai, barely proofread and I appreciate spellchecks!
Word Count: 1,122
A/N: Dialogue? In my headcanon post? More likely than you'd think after two weeks of daily ficlets. Also it's a bit of a combination conversational headcanon post and proper narrative, I'm experimenting over here.

Humans have joined the Eye of Michael before you, but a majority of them were either foolish enough to fall for the religious propaganda that kept the cult from getting looked at too hard or were dragged in from childhood for Conrad’s experiments.
So you just showing up not only willing but fully cognizant and aware of what the actual plan is takes Nai back more than a little bit. Like he knows humans make no fucking sense but the fact that you’re so pro-“kill the humans and turn Gunsmoke into a paradise for Plants” is a level of dedication that maybe is only rivaled by Legato.
At first he doesn't concern himself with it much. Who is he to look a gift attack dog in the mouth? If this is what you think is best then sure, he'll let you ride along until it's your turn just like all the others. But while Legato fancies himself a prophet, spouting sermon after sermon about the coming holy paradise, you come at this with some actual empathy. You look at the Red Plants with this sort of distant expression every time you walk past them. It makes him think back to that terrible day on the ship with Vash. When they found Tesla...
Finally the itch to ask gets to be too much, and you’re not shy. You explain that you always saw things differently from the other people in your town, even your family. When your town’s Plant went red, you explained how you mourned the Plant more than you did the resources it provided. It wasn’t that you didn’t understand the gravity of the situation (because you absolutely did and were living the effects of going without clean water and consistent energy same as everyone else,) but the realization that it was everyone in that town's fault--including yours--that the Plant reached its breaking point. And you were the only one that felt sorry for it? For lack of a better term, it radicalized you.
"So you're here out of guilt?" He asks, suddenly sounding cold again. "You want to make up for the sin your village committed?"
"You sound like a pastor," you reply. You don't take your eyes off the Plants in front of you. The observation stings, but only because you feel its truth. "Yeah, I am, I suppose. It's not like anyone else back home will do anything about it."
He huffs, seemingly satisfied for a moment. But then that last sentence pokes his brain again. "So you're trying to make up for them?"
You shake your head. Then you shrug. "It's more complicated than that," you say, but the words aren't coming to you the way you want them to. The shape of the idea is there in your head, but it keeps swirling out of reach, morphing into something else entirely before you even get the chance to speak up. You know you should answer, but you can't think of how to phrase it in a way that he'll understand.
Millions Knives looks at you sideways. You're not looking at the Plants anymore but at the railing keeping you separate. You're holding it tight, and he can see you shaking a little. It strikes him as odd, in all honesty. In all of the time you’ve spent with him, following at his heels, yapping like a lost dog, he’s never seen you get upset like this before. You could get so passionate you could lose your words, but you never went dead silent like this.
He’s not certain of how he should go about this, honestly. For a moment he considers leaving, letting you stand here in your trembling silence with whatever secondhand guilt you must be feeling for your village, but then he sees something. A twitch in your jaw, a movement that doesn’t match his assumption of you having just been clenching your teeth behind your lips. When your eye flickers, so does his curiosity.
“What did you do?”
You shake your head and bring a hand to your mouth. You’d bit your tongue harder than you meant to, and while you were certain you weren’t bleeding, it did still hurt.
“Did you just hurt yourself?” He sounds genuinely confused. You really would rather hurt yourself than answer a question?
You shrug again. Tears of frustration sting your eyes like ice as you push off the railing properly. There’s so much in your head that it’s hard to tell what exactly is tipping you over, even as you try to catch your breath. It was a red Plant, just like the ones in front of you, that had driven you all the way out to Julai, far from your family and friends, who you missed so much it felt like a black hole in your chest, even if they hadn’t understood why you left. A part of you still wished that someone would come after you, that on hindsight your village would realize the error of their ways and come help you fix it, make up for the pain you all had caused Plants just because you couldn't make it out in No Man's Land on your own--
"Look at me."
You don't.
Knives grabs you by your shoulder and spins you to face him. He doesn't force you to look up, but he keeps your frame square to his. "Breathe." You can hear the exasperation in his voice, and it makes you feel worse. "You'll just hurt yourself again, and there's little point in that now."
You're loyal. He knows that, you know that, everyone knows that. In his mind, that is the only reason he bothers to hold your shoulders the way he is--firm but not crushing under his heavy palms. If he wanted you to stay loyal... he would need to be here to calm you down.
"Breathe," he repeats, his tone a modicum softer. Your chin is gently tilted back to look up at him, to meet those steely blue eyes when he tacks on, sickly sweet, "for me?"
In a strange way, it works. Your family isn't here--they made that clear when they didn't follow you--but Millions Knives was. And he wanted you to be happy, and you couldn't just let him down like that. The first few breaths you take are shaking, but they settle with each repetition until your tongue no longer smarts and your head has ceased its spiraling.
"There. Isn't that better?" Knives pulls his hand from your chin to give your shoulders another squeeze. "Remember what you're here for. These Plants' pain..."
He turns you to look at the wall of red tanks, each one a carbon copy of your memory.
"...will be temporary."
