My Most Beautiful Treasure- Victor Li
Tumblr media
Summary: Nicole’s birthday is around the corner and Victor has prepared several surprises for his beloved wife on her special day
Genre: Fluff/Slightly Suggestive
Word Count: 1.3k
Notes:
Happy (belated) birthday beautiful! @multifandom-worlds
Thank you for being a part of my life and putting up with all my crazy ideas and silliness! I love you and I hope you have a fantastic birthday just as fantastic as you are! <3
This will be told in Victor's POV
Enjoy ~
"Where are you taking me, Victor?? Why do I have to keep my eyes closed?" She asked for what seemed like the third or fourth time that day as she kept her eyes like I had asked her to.
I let out a soft chuckle, guiding her carefully towards the door. "Have patience, my sweet. You'll find out soon enough." Was all I told her as I let go of her hand to unlock the door using my key.
Today was a special day. A day I hold dear to my heart. It was my darling wife's birthday. A day I grew to love almost just as much as I love her.
Nicole was never one to celebrate her birthday, to her it was just another average day. Nothing overly special. However I wasn't inclined to let that remain that way. Every year from the moment we met I've marked that special date as the day to spoil and cherish her endlessly.
More so than I already do now, which she still hates me doing even after all the years we've been together.
Today just so happened to be that special day and I had made plans to make sure it was a birthday she would never forget. Everything had gone smoothly from the start.
I had taken the day off of work to make breakfast for her in bed. We spent the entire morning enjoying each other's company from the comfort of our bed and watched several of Nicole's favorite shows and movies.
I took her out to lunch at her favorite cafe once the afternoon rolled around and shortly after we went to the mall to do some shopping.
Everything she took interest in for more than several seconds was purchased much to her dismay saying she didn't need it.
What she thinks I don't know is that I knew the beautiful smile on her face only grew wider with every item I bought for her. Oh how I loved seeing that beautiful smile…
After shopping we spent the rest of the day being with each other doing anything and everything she wanted to do and I have never seen her look so happy. I'm forever grateful to get to see it. I wanted to always see her smile and hear that beautiful laugh.
Everything was perfect. She was perfect. And I couldn't be happier to call her my wife.
After a wonderful day, it was time for dinner   and all I had told her was she needed to be dressed up and to keep her eyes closed once we were on the road.
Much to her dismay yet again, she was as cautious and curious as ever, eager to know just what I was planning. I was taking her to my restaurant–-Souvenir where a delicious meal (of all her favorite foods) was waiting for her. And as well as the gift I had gotten her months in advance.
I opened the door before taking her hand once again leading her inside, making sure to close and lock the door behind her before bringing her down the hall towards the dining room.
"But I really want to know! You've told me to keep my eyes closed for so long!" She whined slightly but still willingly following my steps.
I let out a soft laugh, stopping once we arrived at the dining room where the room was decorated according to how I wanted it. Dimly lit with candles, balloons and streamers in all of her favorite colors scattered throughout the room, her gifts she received not just from me but from my sister and Nicole's close friends on one table off to the side.
The main table with all the delicious foods laid out hot and ready to be eaten with a large bouquet of her favorite flowers; cherry blossoms and red roses as the main centerpiece of it all.
I smiled at the sight, proud of the work that was put into this place while we were gone all day. Making a mental note to thank my sister Cassie and Nicole's friends for helping set it all up for me while I was out spoiling my wife.
Turning to my wife, I pulled her into a soft kiss, instantly stopping her from complaining as she reciprocated the kiss, leaning in closer.
Once I pulled away from the kiss, I softly whispered with a soft smile ghosting my lips as her cheeks were flushed "You can open your eyes now, my love."
Once she opened her eyes, she looked at me, before looking around the room, gasping as she noticed all the decorations and food.
"Oh my gosh… Victor, did you do all of this..? When did you.." She trailed off as she looked around, still shocked as she took it all in.
I chuckled softly, "I had a bit of help from my sister and your friends. They were the ones who helped decorate the place. Cassie helped me with making the food.. I wanted to surprise you with dinner at Souvenir… Do you like it..?"
"Like it..? I-I love it!" She exclaims with a  smile, turning towards me, fresh tears in her eyes. "Thank you my love. This is absolutely beautiful. You've spoiled me so much today.. I don't know what I did to deserve it."
I smile, snaking an arm around her waist, pulling her into my arms as I softly kiss her forehead. "Existing. You deserve it for existing.. And for being a part of my life. You're the reason I wake up every morning with a smile on my face. You're the reason I'm a better man… I love you more than words can say, Nicole. I just wanted you to know how special you are to me and how important this day will always be to me. Because you're special. You're everything to me." I softly wiped at the tears that slipped down her cheeks.
She was at a loss for words, but the ever growing smile on her beautiful lips says all the words for her. She cups my face into her hands, pulling me into a deep kiss. One of which I don't hesitate to reciprocate. I pulled her closer to me as I deepened the kiss, a soft moan escaping her as our tongues colliding once I was given access to her mouth
I nearly lost all train of thought as the kiss grew more and more heated. Gripping onto her tighter I slowly pulled away, breathlessly chuckling, a grin on my lips. "As much as I would love to do more of that. We still have dinner to get through my love. I am your final gift for the night so more of that will come when we get home."
She blushes, the beautiful shade of red coating her soft skin. "R-right.." She giggles slightly.
I softly let go of her to pull out a small box from my jacket pocket. "Before that thought, here's another gift from me that I got you. It's… something you've had your eye on for quite some time now so I hope you like it." I handed her the small box.
She takes it, chuckling slightly, "Another gift, Mr. Li?" She teased as she opened the box, revealing a beautiful diamond ring with a black onyx gem in the shape of a teardrop in the center surrounded by smaller diamond gems along the sides of the sterling silver band. Each gem shining brightly within the dimly lit room. Once again she let out a gasp.
"Victor.. Oh my god you didn't… This is absolutely gorgeous, how..how did you know I wanted this..?"
"I saw you look at it on your phone several times in the past few months, sweetheart. It wasn't that hard to find it and I even got the matching ring as well." I smile, holding up my hand which has the matching ring, resting on my ring finger.
She smiles, pulling me into a hug, "T-Thank you, my love. I love you so much."
I kiss her forehead, "I love you more, babygirl. Happy birthday, my most beautiful treasure."

Blackinnon headcanons (because @marlymckitten’s lovely ones got me to write a bit again <3 go check on hers!!!!)
Yes. It’s sappy. But I love sappy Blackinnon. I can’t bear angst any longer so enjoy!
Sirius fell in love with her before she fell in love with him. Actually, he fell in love with Marlene before James fell in love with Lily, even if he took longer to realize it. He unconsciously developed a crush on her during their first year and recognize his messy feelings as love when he was a bit older. Anyway, he liked to say to her that he had loved her since he was a kid and Marlene used to roll her eyes and call him a sappy liar — but Sirius was not lying. Not even a bit.
I personally hc that they didn’t start dating at Hogwarts. Sirius was, emotionally, too much of a mess to actually sort out what he felt. It was not that he wasn’t sure of her — he knew he loved Marlene. He was certain of that. He was just scared to hurt her in any way possible, and though less of himself — he though he wasn’t able to make her happy, and he could not bear it.
It was Marlene who made the first move. One night, she just kissed him. They were alone in London, laughing, smoking and chatting at 1 AM while the rest of the gang had already went home. She just did it. She cupped his face in her hands and kissed him. Hard, passionately. It took him out of breath.
As their relationship became solid, it was clear to both of them that what was happening was that.. they were settling. To Sirius, the word has seem horrendous till she had told him what she felt for him. But he was happier that he had ever been with her and was actually pretty content with the perspective of being hers for the rest of his life.
They weren’t too much into PDA. Sirius resting a hand on her tights, or holding hands was ok — but they couldn’t stand couples who made out constantly while they were out with friends. It was totally different when they were drunk: in that occasions they could not take their hands off each other and used to disappear so as to shag in some bathroom or to go home (to shag. Yes, they did it nonstop)
They had a matching tattoo. They had gone out one evening in March, just the two of them. It was supposed to be a romantic dinner but it had naturally lead to a drunk night in some club in London. After that, they had found some weird (and probably too dirty to be trusted) tattoo shop which was still opened at night and decided to go for it. They were too tipsy to be taken seriously, but managed to explain to the tattooer what they wanted. At the end, Sirius got the written “star of the sky” in Marlene’s handwriting, and she had “star of the sea” in his, on their pelvis. It was sappy, they knew it, but it was them.
Marlene absolutely adored Sirius. She thought he was breathtaking. That’s true, a lot of people thought that — Sirius was indeed a very handsome man, but to Marlene, Sirius was much more than that. Marlene loved everything about him. She loved stroking his hair and caressing the side of his face. She loved when he took her hands into his. She loved kissing his full lips and holding his gaze, despite it made her blush most of the time. She loved feeling his weight on her when he fell asleep while cuddling. She loved feeling him inside of her, it made her feel a sense of fullness and connection she had never felt with someone before.
James was so happy when they got together. He wasn’t even the slightest angry or upset at them, though they knew he would have killed them both if they hurt each other.
Lily was ecstatic when they started dating, too. Perhaps even more than her husband, considering she was the first person Sirius admitted he was in love with Marlene to. It happened during their seventh year at Hogwarts. Lily was looking for Marls — she knew the Astronomy Tower was her and Sirius’ spot and expected to find her there, but only him was present that evening. They talked quite a lot and at one point he just slipped it out. It felt so scaring, but so, so good. Lily promised not to tell a soul, not even to James and Sirius trusted her. She also advised him to tell her, but he knew he needed more time.
He desired a family with her but was scared to bring the topic up — he didn’t really think he would have really been much of a father material with the upbringing he had. His worse nightmare was perhaps inflicting on his children the same pain he had had to endure during his childhood — the idea scared him shitless. But one day, they talked about it. They approached the subject shyly, as if having different perspectives would have risked to break what they had. When Sirius told her it would have be nice, to have kids one day, Marlene could not suppress the wide, genuine smile that appeared on her face. “You’d really want them?” “Yes. With you, I would want them. I think I would be a shit father, but with you to balance I think they’d turn up nice” “That’s bullshit. You will be a wonderful dad.” “I will be? Not “would”?” “Yep. You will. I think we should talk about it… having kids, one day.” Sirius had never been happier.
Marlene’s family was fond of Sirius. Her parents and brother especially. And of course Euphemia and Fleamont loved Marlene — she was James’ first friend ever. Euphemia confessed them once that she had been planning their wedding since fifth year (James laughed a bit to much for Marlene’s liking after hearing that).
Marlene once had called Walburga Black a “fucking cow”. She hadn’t just called her that, she had YELLED it on the platform before taking Sirius hand and making him follow her on the train. She had heard a sneaky comment from her: it was the usual babbling about Sirius being a shame, a failure for being how he was, for hanging out with dirty mudbloods and staying at the Potters. She could not take it. Although her mother (who had intercepted her daughter’s furious expression) had tried to stop her, she had just walked over and yelled at Walburga Black, a witch from a noble and ancient family in the Magical Community, that she was a fucking cow. Around lots, lots of people. Sirius thought he had never loved her more.
Once Sirius told her he wanted to shave his beard, and she screamed, horrified and threatened not to have sex with him for a month if he really did it.
For his 23rd birthday, Marlene gifted him a handful of Polaroids of her nudes, along with his real present. Sirius remained in total awe for a few seconds and then looked at her like a puppy who has received the best toy ever. He really was a simple man, not needing much to be happy.
Sirius couldn’t cook for shit. He could barely prepare a toast without burning something. And most of the time, when he was hungry, he forgot he could use magic. That meant he was not able to surprise her with breakfast in bed or some thing like that — okay, he knew how to make coffee or how to spread jam on bread, he was not that dumb. Anyway, Marlene used to tease him by saying he would starve if she refused to cook for the rest of his days. “I can always eat you, you know” “You are incredible, Black”
7th year’s St Valentine’s Day was perhaps the worst one Marlene had spent in her seventeen years on the Earth. Not that she had ever celebrated it (she hated St Valentine’s Day, the sappy promises, the fake couples who put on a good face during the trip to Hogsmeade so as to show off even if half school knew one of them was shagging someone else. She just couldn’t bear it), but that year every. single. one of her friends had a date. Lily went with James, Remus had gone to Hogsmeade with a bloke he had met in the summer, Alice went with Frank, Mary had been asked by a quite good looking boy who was part of the same club as hers, Emmeline and Dorcas went together (their first public trip after their coming out) and even Peter had managed to set up a date with a really nice girl he had had a crush on since fifth year. And Sirius… well, she supposed he was shagging three or four girls at the same time. Marlene spent most of her time in the library, catching up with her homework, and after a rather depressing lunch alone she hid herself in the Common Room who was occupied only by first and second years who could not go to the village yet. She read a book until she heard someone calling her name. She didn’t even had to turn around to know who it was. Nobody called her Lene. They walked through the empty corridors and corners of the school, perfectly comfortable with one another. He asked her what she had done that day, but she didn’t ask him back. She didn’t want to know if he had gone to Hogsmeade with someone. What she didn’t know was that, yes, he had gone to the village… to buy her flowers. They following morning, when she woke up, she found a beautiful bouquet of tulips — her favorites — of all colors. The was no card attached and it took Lily twenty minutes to convince Marlene that they really were for her.
Marlene’s dream had always been to visit Paris. When she was ten, she promised herself that she would only have gone with the love of her life — Marlene pretended to be nauseated by romance, but the truth was that she was a hopeless romantic herself. She kept the promise. One year or so into their relationship, Sirius and Marlene stayed in Paris for a week. One night they went to a bar and returned to the apartment quite intoxicated and extremely horny, so the usual. They shagged everywhere, on the couch, on the bed, on the floor, by the fucking window, not caring who could see them. Once they were finished, they were laying on the couch, naked, only covered by a thin blanket to protect them from the chilly air, their bodies entangled. She told him about her promise. He just looked at her, his eyes full of pure love. And he told her. And it was not scary, quite the contrary, actually. “I love you” he simply said. “I love you so much, Marls” She tried to reply, but her voice was thick with emotion. He understood anyway and gently kissed her, thinking he had finally found something worth living for. And it was love, it had always been love.

(ao3)
The day starts out pretty unremarkable. Dean wakes up at the crack of dawn to Cas slipping out of bed for his morning jog. He pulls him down for a good-morning kiss that turns into a make-out session that turns into them trading lazy handjobs and then falling asleep in each other’s arms again.
Their actual start to the day is around ten AM, when Cas finally gets up for his jog and Dean gets up for his cereal and a scroll through the morning news. He’s on the look for hunts, mostly out of habit since there’s been very little monster activity since Chuck went and fucked off for good. He doesn’t find anything this morning but that’s hardly a surprise. It’s been a couple of weeks since they’ve been out on a hunt and that inactivity, weirdly enough, is starting to bother him less and less.
Cas comes back from his jog about an hour before noon and with the mildest of prodding convinces Dean to join him in the shower. Afterwards, they throw together a lunch made from yesterday’s leftovers, taking their time eating and playing footsie under the table, because that’s apparently the kind of couple they are.
Usually by this time of day, Cas would be off in the Men of Letters’ library working on translations or cataloging and Dean would be on the phone helping Garth help out young, out-of-their depth hunters or in the garage, working on one of the beautiful but sadly neglected vehicles left behind there decades ago.
Today, both of them are seemingly feeling kind of lazy and so hardly any work gets done. It’s not until late in the afternoon that Dean feels the urge to do something productive and suggests they go out for groceries, which Cas readily agrees to.
The ride into town is quiet. Cas plays his mixtape - the damn thing should be worn out by now and Dean should  long since be sick of it but for reasons too sappy to mention he isn’t - and they sit and listen in comfortable silence. It’s not until they pass the town hall on their way to the supermarket that Cas gets a contemplative look on his face.
“Should we get married?”
Only years of experience behind the wheel prevent Dean’s hands from twitching wildly and veering them into oncoming traffic.
“What.”
Cas looks over, frowning. “I’ve been thinking about this for a while. Is there any reason for us not to get married? We’re already planning on staying together for the rest of our lives.”
“Is there any reason-” Dean wheezes. “What the fuck, Cas? Is this your idea of a proposal?”
“Are you saying no?” Cas asks, mildly curious, as if they’re talking about the fucking weather and not getting married. “Because we don’t have to.”
Dean stares ahead, tightening his grip on the steering wheel. “Are you actually asking?”
“I suppose I am.”
“You ‘suppose’,” Dean mocks. “Gee, Cas, that’s real romantic.”
“Will you marry me?”
Dean pulls over. It’s far too sudden, probably leaving tire tracks in the concrete, and the driver behind them honks his horn loudly as he passes. Dean ignores him, taking a deep breath as he finally turns to face Cas.
“Are you sure?”
He doesn’t really have to ask - Cas wouldn’t have brought it up if he wasn’t sure - but he needs to hear it.
Thankfully, Cas seems to get that. “I want to marry you, Dean. Do you want to marry me?”
“Son of a bitch,” Dean breathes. “I mean - yes. Yeah, I do.”
Cas nods decisively. “Alright then. Now?”
“Now?”
It’s not exactly how Dean imagined this scenario would go (not that he - shut up) but it’s somehow the most romantic fucking thing that’s ever happened to him since Cas first told him he loved him. And hey, this time no one had to die!
They turn around, since there’s no point in going in without (forged) birth certificates. Once they get to the town hall, shortly before closing, they find out that it’s a three-day mandatory waiting period between applying for a marriage license and them actually being allowed to get married.
Cas suggests they use the interim time to pick up wedding rings. They wind up spending the next day driving to Topeka, where they find a couple of silver rings in a pawn shop. They’re tarnished but otherwise in good condition and once they get home, Dean spends the rest of the evening cleaning them while trying very hard not to think about just what they’re for.
The second day, Cas spends out back tending to his garden while Dean almost dials Sam’s number repeatedly before hanging up, torn between wanting to let his brother know that he’s getting married and not wanting to jinx it.
The third day, they head back into town. They arrive at the town hall just after it opens and it’s not until they’re standing in front of the clerk that Dean realizes they don’t have any witnesses. The clerk assures him that they don’t need one for civil ceremonies and the next ten minutes pass in a blur until Dean is being prompted to place the ring on Cas’ finger.
He does so with shaking hands, stilled only once Cas places one of his own on top and gives Dean a patient smile. He’s this calm for a reason, Dean finally realizes.
This doesn’t change anything.
Married or not, they’ve already promised themselves to each other for the rest of their lives. Til death do them part doesn’t even begin to describe it, and in sickness and in health is almost laughable at this point.
This really doesn’t change anything.
Dean’s own hand is still as Cas takes his turn, sliding the silver ring upon Dean’s finger. They say their “I do”s when prompted by the clerk, exchange a short, firm kiss, and just like that it’s over.
They’re married.
*
When Jody invites them to dinner about a week later, they still haven’t told anyone. Sam and Eileen will be there as well as Jack and the girls - it’s a regular family reunion and the perfect chance to announce the big news to everyone.
Dean has a better idea.
“Let’s not tell anyone,” he says. “At least, not before dessert. Let’s see if they notice first.”
They’re in the Impala, about half an hour away from Jody’s place.
Cas shoots him an amused look. “Is this because Sam claimed he always knew we’d get together when we first told him we were involved?”
“No,” Dean lies. He drums his fingers on the steering wheel, seeing Cas still giving him that look from the corner of his eye. “Fine, yes. But he didn’t know, for the record. He just likes to pretend he’s always on top of this shit.”
“He doesn’t like to admit when you’ve surprised him,” Cas agrees.
The conversation ends there but Dean’s plan is apparently agreed upon since once they arrive at Jody’s, Cas doesn’t say a word about their recent relationship upgrade. Jody doesn’t seem to notice anything different, but then Dean didn’t expect her to. She’s not the one they spend most of their time around. Neither do Donna, Alex, Claire or Kaia, none of them surprises. Patience, Dean is less sure about, but she at least doesn’t say anything. Her eyes do linger unusually long but that could mean anything.
Damn psychics.
Sam and Eileen arrive half an hour after Dean and Cas, Jack in tow. This is the real test; Sam and Dean may not spend as much time together in the past few months as they did in the years before but he’s still the person who knows Dean best and would be the most likely to notice a difference.
And yet, nothing.
Dean tries not to feel too smug.
They go through dinner without anyone mentioning it. Dean makes a point of reaching across the table as many times as he can, showing off the ring glinting on his finger. Cas must notice him doing it, judging by the fond exasperation on his face, but he’s the only one.
It isn’t until dessert that Patience breaks, patience (hah) clearly run out:
“Is no one going to mention that Dean and Castiel are wearing wedding rings?”
And all hell breaks loose.
Sam is wounded - mostly over Dean and Cas not telling him before they got married, though Dean can tell some part of it is his pride at not seeing this coming - but he’s over it soon enough, once they explain that it wasn’t a big deal, not some proper ceremony, just a quick affirmation of what they already knew.
“See if I make you Best Man at my wedding after this, jerk,” Sam tells Dean.
“Your wedding?” Eileen asks pointedly.
Jody and Donna offer their congratulations before the conversation can get awkward, and Kaia, Alex, and Patience chime in with theirs as well. Jack looks confused at the whole proceeding, finally asking whether this means there won’t be any bouquet to catch, which only means Dean has gravely failed him in his pop culture education (oh, who’s he kidding, as if half the romcoms Jack has watched didn’t come directly from the recommended tab on Dean’s Netflix account).
Finally, with a pointed elbow from Kaia and a hangdog expression from Cas, Claire mumbles that she’s happy for them. While Dean doesn’t doubt that’s true he also knows that this is more complicated for her than the rest of them, and for the first time he kind of feels guilty about springing this news on everyone.
It doesn’t last long, not after Donna cheerfully raises her glass and proposes a toast to the happy couple and everyone else follows suit. They chant for them to kiss and, blushing outrageously, Dean complies, leaning over to press a quick kiss against Cas’ lips.
“So, who proposed?” Sam asks once the hooting and hollering has calmed.
“Cas did,” Dean says, slinging an arm around his husband’s - his husband’s - shoulders. “And it was the least romantic proposal of all time, you should’ve heard him.”
Cas rolls his eyes. “If I had left it up to you, we never would have gotten married.”
“He didn’t even give me time to pick out flowers,” Dean informs Sam gravely.
“There’s always the vow renewal,” Cas says, the casual statement managing to sound like a threat, and Dean shuts up.
The conversation moves on, the mood noticeably cheerier. As Jack and Sam launch into a story of their most recent hunt, Dean leans against Cas.
“We could have flowers, if you want,” he mutters.
Cas smiles at him, so bright and easy that it makes Dean’s heart stutter. He takes Dean’s hand, rubbing his thumb over the cool silver of Dean’s ring.
“That’s not necessary,” he says. “I’ve got everything I want right here.”

the good guy | steve rogers
Tumblr media
[warnings] dark steve rogers x reader, pre-serum steve x reader, 40′s setting, petite reader, angst, noncon sex (wear a condom, kids), public sex?
A/N: this was inspired by @darkastrea ‘s idea where the reader falls for skinny steve because he’s small like her and makes her less insecure but after the war she’s not attracted to him anymore and super soldier steve doesn’t handle the rejection well.
THIS ADULT CONTENT AND CONTAINS TRIGGERING SUBJECTS
In which Steve returns from the war and things just aren’t the same.
word count: 3.6k
Everyone looked past you. Even your own family. Steve was the only one who understood that. He understood everyone looking down on you, literally. He was small like you but he was the one who knew how to stand up for himself. You admired that.
The first time you met him, he had ducked into the bakery you worked at part time. The sign clearly read “closed” but the lights of the shop were still on. As he hid behind one of the tables, you watched as a group of men ran past the front of the store, completely missing their target.
He had always had a way of astonishing you. When he introduced himself that night, you had no idea how deep your bond would grow.
You were barely over five feet and that seemed to shock Steve as much as his height shocked you. Everyone seemed to tower over you and every woman Steve met towered over him. No thanks to the family you grew up with, most men intimidated you. Steve seemed to be different than most guys.
“Do you always go looking for fights?” You asked, handing him a cup of coffee. You took a break from closing up the shop to get to know the courageous stranger.
“Not always, ma’am,” He answered, a sly smile on his face, “But I’ve noticed that they just continue to pick on you when you stand down.”
You nervously tapped at your coffee cup as his words sunk in, “But won’t they always win when they’re bigger than you …” Steve could sense the double meaning behind your words but decided it was best not to dig into the intimacies of a strangers life.
“They lose their power when you’re confident. They assume. because you’re smaller, that you’re mentally weaker. They back off when you show them you’re not.”
You slowly nodded, stirring your spoon around your coffee, “Is that why you ran in here?”
“Oh, those guys? My method works better against one guy, not six. With six guys, you just gotta run,” You laughed at that and Steve noted your beautiful smile. In all these years, he’d never gotten close to getting a girl to smile like that for him. They looked past him because of his scrawny looks yet you saw him, “Are you the Gloria in Gloria’s Sweets?”
You shook your head, your smile still wide, “Oh no, that’s my boss. I’m Y/N,” Steve held his hand out to shake yours.
“Steve Rogers.”
You looked down at your watch, knowing that you’d be expected home soon, “Well, if you don’t mind, I have to clean up and then get home.” As you stood up from your seat, Steve stood up abruptly too.
“I can help,” He rushed out, “And I can escort you home … since it’s so late.”
Your head cocked to the side, curiously, “Really?”
“Of course,” Steve said, “It’s the least I could do after distracting you from work.”
You slowly nodded in agreement, “Okay.”
You cleaned up the kitchen together and Steve explained the reason those six guys were chasing him. Apparently, he was out drinking with his friend Bucky and saw the drunks messing with a stray cat, throwing bottles at it. He kindly tried to tackle one of the guys and the chase ensued. “At least the cat escaped,” Steve said.
You closed up the shop and allowed Steve to walk you home. Luckily, there was no sign of the group of men from before. You walked the five blocks home, Steve acting as your “protection”. Really, you were just enjoying his company.
“This is me,” You said as you stopped in front of your building, “We should probably say bye here. My family will send me to some Christian camp in the midwest if they catch me with a boy.”
Steve nodded, his lips in a thin line, “... Can I ... Can I see you again, Y/N?”
You nodded, a soft smile on your lips, “You know where I work. Swing by any time, Mr. Rogers.”
Steve’s heart did a backflip in his chest and a happy warmth heated his cheeks, “Yes, ma’am.”
+
You hadn’t realized what you were experiencing with Steve was a crush until this moment. When you ran together on the sandy beach because he surprised you with a day trip. He knew you had been stressed out from nursing school and wanted to help you relax.
Your mother thought you were at a girl friend’s home, of course, but even she had met Steve already. Five months ago, you invited Steve to dinner with your family. It was one of the most awkward experiences of your life. Your father grilled him on his intentions, your mother didn’t seem to think he was worthy of you and your older brothers made jokes about his appearance.
You thought he might be done with you after that. Turns out, Steve was quite used to people talking to him that way. It hadn’t scared him off at all, only made him understand why you acted the way you did. He understood why you went through life with your head down.
Your family had bulldozed over you for your entire life.
You snapped out of the memory as Steve grabbed your hand. He spun you in a circle and you danced around in the sand. The waves were loud and the people celebrating Memorial Day.
The two of you plopped down onto the sand as you attempted to catch your breath. Your long cream skirt was dirtied but that didn’t matter much to you. You were focused on the sparkling blue in his eyes, the hint of green you noticed, and how incredibly kind they were.
“Steve,” You breathed, “Thank you.”
“For what?” He grinned back at you.
For caring like no one ever has. For letting you talk. For making you laugh.
“For today,” You said instead, “I really needed this.”
You stayed at the beach all day, eating the lunch Steve packed for the two of you and then laying down to look at the stars as night set.
Your hands brushed against each other but neither of you was bold enough to grab onto one another.
“Y/N,” You turned your head to him as he called your name, “I brought you here to tell you something.”
You turned on your side, resting your head against your hand, “What’s that?”
The eager look on your face quickly fell as you realized he wasn’t about to confess his love for you, “You know how badly I wanted to enlist,” You nodded your head, scared of his next words, “Well, an opportunity arose. I get to go to boot camp, to train, and finally prove myself. If I get chosen for this project, I can make a real difference.”
Bullies. Steve hated bullies no matter where they came from.
You were quiet for a moment and Steve struggled to read the emotions on your face, “I want to be happy for you, I do. This is your dream …” Your voice trailed off, “But I worry, Steve. They rejected you five times. What makes you think you’re not just a sacrifice?”
Steve simply shrugged, “It’s the cause that matters more. I want to help any way that I can.”
“You don’t care about coming back,” Your eyes welled with tears, “To me?”
“Of course I do,” Steve turned on his side now, reaching out to brush a tear from your cheek, and brush a curl behind your ear, “But I have to do this. I just have to. And when I get back, we’re going to drive across the country and see all the sites. From east to west, we’ll see everything.”
“I hope you mean that, Steve. Promise you’ll come back?”
“I swear.”
+
Steve kept his promise. It took until the very end of the war but he kept his promise. Only, things had changed so much since last saw him. You couldn’t believe the Steve you saw in those newspapers. He had completely turned into a hero. You already knew he was a hero but it seemed the rest of the world could recognize it now.
Your family’s tune completely changed. Now they were begging you to marry him. Deep down, with all the changes, you didn’t even expect Steve to care about you anymore. Every woman in the world was swooning over him.
As you stepped out of the brownstone where your classes were held, clutching your brown sweater tight to you, you didn’t expect the sight before you. Steve was there, clad in his army brown suit, and a bouquet of flowers in his hand.
The girls who normally brushed past you stopped to stare. It baffled them that Steve was there for you, someone who was barely noticeable in a crowd.
Steve’s white smile was wide as you approached him, clutching your bag at your side, “Steve-” He instantly pulled you into a hug and, already, you felt things were off. Your head was pressed against his chest as he pulled you in and his suffocating, strong arms wrapped around you. He was an entire foot taller now and had gained at least a hundred more pounds of pure muscle.
He didn’t look anything like the Steve you knew before, even his face had changed slightly.
You spoke as he finally let you go, “Steve, what are you-”
“These are for you,” He interrupted you, handing you the flowers, “God, I really missed you.”
“I missed you too,” You agreed, smiling awkwardly up at him. You looked around to see a group of people were staring, “Maybe we could talk somewhere else?”
Steve agreed, his smile still wide. He hadn’t yet noticed your trepidation through the excitement of it all.
You and Steve found a restaurant a few blocks away, but even there, people seemed to stare at the two of you. The waitress practically spilled coffee on you from being distracted by him, “Y/N, is something wrong?”
You shook your head though you didn’t mean it, “It’s just … this is all so new. I didn’t expect you’d come back …. like this.”
Steve didn’t seem to get the hint, “What do you think? Do you like the new features?” Part of you was grateful that there was a table between the two of you. The man radiated so much power now, “I can make more than a difference now. I can run a mile in less than a minute, lift a war missile. I can protect the little guys.”
“That’s great,” You were happy for him but you couldn’t help but feel a bit intimidated by his newfound abilities, “Those goons at the bars won’t know what hit them.”
Steve chuckled, “Enough about me. How’s school?”
“It’s good. My finals are soon so we’ll find out if I have what it takes.”
“I’m sure you do,” Steve assured you, “You’re the smartest girl I know, Y/N. What about your family?”
“They’re the same. In my business as usual,” You thought about your next words carefully, “My mom … she’s starting to set me up on all these dates. She says that, in case I don’t pass my exams, that I should have someone to support me. Things are getting tight, you know?”
“Oh?” You saw the light leave his eyes and you mentally cursed, “Are you really interested in one of these guys?”
You shrugged, “I’m not sure. I really just want to focus on school and work. Dating is so complicated.”
“Oh,” Steve said again, tucking the ring box he held under the table back into his pocket, “Yes, complicated … before I left, I thought we sort of had a shot, Y/N.”
“... Me and the super soldier? The world would probably laugh at you for choosing someone like me.”
“They wouldn’t. If they did, I’d take care of ‘em.”
“It’s a sweet fantasy, Steve.”
With that, you successfully broke Captain America’s heart.
+
Steve thought you just needed time. You’d soon realize that he was still like the old Steve and you’d come running into his arms later, begging to be with him. It didn’t seem to matter how much time passed, three months to be exact, because you had changed the way you saw him.
You still entertained him during your late shifts and you got to hear all about his secret missions. He still had the same sense of justice that you had admired him for. You could barely believe the things that he accomplished.
Tonight, Steve refused to just sit around the diner, he wanted to go out. He was going to take you into the new drive-in upstate. He had a completely new car courtesy of SHIELD and he was keen to show you a life of luxury. You had never heard of a drive-in before, let alone been to one. Steve explained to you that they were going to be the “next big thing”.
He paid a couple of cents for the movie, even though you told him that you’d pay for yourself. You noticed how, lately when you protested, he’d simply raise his hand up and give you a look that said “I’ve got this”. You knew he was only trying to be a gentleman but part of you disliked the feeling it gave you.
The two of you met up with Bucky and his current fling. Both Steve and Bucky seemed to be riding the high that winning the war brought them. You watched them talk before the movie, Bucky’s girl practically drooling over him. As you went to your separate cars, it seemed she couldn’t keep her hands off of him.
As you watched them kiss, practically swallowing each other, Steve wrapped his arm around your shoulder. You tried your best not to let out a sigh as you watched him try to play it cool, “I don’t think they’re stopping to breathe,” You commented and Steve’s eyes looked past you into the car beside yours. You didn’t notice but Steve’s eyes had turned to you, “I mean, I didn’t even know people kissed like that in real life.”
When you turned back around to look at Steve, he was suddenly grabbing your face and smashing his lips onto yours. Hungry and desperate, sloppy and inexperienced, his lips moved against your frozen face. As soon as the realization hit, you tried your best to push him away. It was like pushing at a boulder.
“Steve-” You struggled to cry out against his lips, “Steve, stop!”
When Steve finally pulled away, you tried to catch your breath as you wiped away your smudged lipstick. Steve stared at you in disbelief as you shouted, “What is wrong with you?” Luckily, the windows were rolled up and people were focused on the movie screen, “What did I say to make you think I wanted to kiss you? Y-You said this wasn’t a date.”
“I’m … I’m sorry,” He apologized. It was stupid to think that his new body had changed everything. He was still that small kid that would get rejected over and over. Steve turned away from you, his blood starting to boil.
“I want to go home,” You told him, not meeting his eyes. Could you even be his friend anymore? Everything about him was beginning to intimidate you.
Steve didn’t say another word as he put the car in reverse. He wasted no time interrupting Bucky’s makeout session or finishing the movie. The two of you sat in silence for a long while as you drove down the dark, winding road.
“That day at the beach, you cried,” You looked up and noted how tightly he was gripping the steering wheel, “You cried when you heard I was getting shipped off and, now … what’s changed, Y/N?”
You could sense the hurt in this voice and your lip began to wobble as you thought of those nights you spent crying over him, “Steve ... “ You sighed.
“What is it?” Steve persisted, “I told you that I don’t care what other people think!”
“Steve, that’s not it!” You insisted, “You’re not … you’re not the little guy anymore. Being with you used to make me feel safe a-and now ....”
“Now I’m just like every other guy?” You nodded, your face solemn. The car slowed down and Steve pulled to the side of the road, “I’m the bad guy now? After everything?”
“I know you’re not the bad guy … ” As he turned his body to face you, you felt yourself cowering back, your small body sinking into the leather seat. You felt the frustration and testosterone radiating off of him. Your breathing hitched in your throat as Steve pulled out the ring box in his pocket.
“I don’t understand why you can’t just accept me,” Steve spoke, his deep voice growing rougher, “Why can’t you just love me like you used to?”
“You’re a killing machine,” You spoke softly, “A tool for destruction.”
The car went silent as Steve simply stared at you, that same hunger in his eyes. He reached out to grab your face, “I can be gentle,” He tried to assure you and you reached up to grab onto his arm, pushing it away. The fact that the only reason his hand moved was because he wanted to move it, was enough for you. If he wanted, he could do anything to you.
“Steve, I want to go home,” You stated as firmly as you could. Your hands were starting to shake, your anxiety reaching a new height.
“You aren’t going anywhere,” Steve stated firmly, turning off the ignition, “Not until you agree to let me put that ring on your finger.”
Your eyes darted around, looking for a passerby or a car to drive by. Nothing. You began to panic and before Steve could reach out for you again, you opened the passenger door and stumbled out, “Y/N!” Your hands hit the dirt as you scrambled to your feet and you quickly lost one of your heels. Despite the pain of the dirt and asphalt, you slipped off the other one, picking up your long skirt as you began to run.
You had never heard Steve curse before but he did as he got out of the car to chase you, “Y/N, don’t run from me!” You sped up as you heard him coming after you. You thought you could at least make it a few more feet but the wind was knocked out of you as Steve wrapped his arms around you.
You fought hard against the man that was three times your size though you both knew your efforts were futile. He easily tossed you over your shoulder and carried you the distance back to the car. You called for help and as he set you back down, he covered your mouth with his own hand, his fingers tightening around your face.
You screamed even harder as you kicked between his legs. He let you go only to fall on top of you, sending you both to the ground. Steve groaned, still managing to hold your hands down as he recovered. He was fuming at this point as you squirmed around in the dirt. Looking into your frightened eyes, Steve made a decision.
A decision that would make you regret ever handing him that cup of coffee.
“I protect you, I protect everyone, and I’m the bad guy?” It was rhetorical, you understood that as Steve tore open your blouse, exposing your white brassier, “I’ll show you what I am.”
Steve pinned down your legs with his own as he held your arms pinned above your head with one of his own. Not bothering to fumble with your skirt, he simply tore away the fabric. You screamed louder but only the silence of the night answered you.
Steve pulled away your white underwear, exposing your sensitive area to the cool air of the night, “Steve, I-I’m sorry,” You pleaded, choking on your sobs, “Please don’t, I’m a virgin!”
“Then this will be special for both of us,” Steve concluded, fumbling with his belt and pulling down his trousers. You tried not to look down as he positioned himself between your legs, “We’re going to be happy together like we were intended to be. It’ll feel so good that you’ll forget your doubts”
His grip on you was so tight that you were sure that he’d leave bruises. As he pushed his tip against your entrance, you could feel how hard he was. This wasn’t how your first time should’ve been. You should be married and on a honeymoon, not on the side of the road.
You cried out as he slowly pushed inside of you. Your body continued to struggle, resulting in Steve moving his hand to wrap around your neck. His fingers tightened around your neck as you struggled to breathe clearly.
You wrapped around him tightly, resisting him but Steve pushed through. It was a magical feeling to Steve. All he could ask for was having his first time with the woman of his dreams.
Steve grunted as his pace began to quicken. He made you feel so small and defenseless. The member between his legs was practically the size of your forearm, successfully impaling you. You couldn’t believe that your body was beginning to adjust to him. It was starting to get pleasure from the friction he was creating.
“That’s it, darling,” Steve groaned as mangled moans began to leave your mouth, “Enjoy the feeling of me being inside you, enjoy being mine. You don’t need someone ‘good’, you need someone efficient.”
That night, after he had taken your virtue, Steve knew he had the rest of you too. He’d make you his little wife.

REDACTED verse - Friends & flowers
Prompt: Any/Any/Autumn as metaphor for death and decay
Word Count: 1,087
Author/Team: LadyMonotone
Fandom/Original: Redacted ASMR (Oliver/Baby & Caelum)
Rating: G
Triggers: NA
Summary: While Oliver plans to surprise Babe with some flowers, he meets an interesting individual at the florist.
ConCrit: Y
What do Caelum & Oliver have in common? MUCH SAWFTNESS!
This is my first ever attempt at writing both Caelum & Oliver, but when I saw the prompt and listened to their playlist on loop, I just had to give it a try!
Also, I'm not sure what Ollie calls his Listener, but I listened to his recent video and 'Babe' seems to be it. If I'm wrong, please correct me so I can change it.
-
On lunch break, while dining out with his coworker, Oliver recalls Babe's favourite flowers. They also recall how wide their smile was when they went out to view flowers together.
So by the time they left the restaurant, and an idea came into mind.
Both of them have been working hard lately, so Oliver wants to surprise them with a bouquet of their favourite flowers before Autumn claims them. So on the day that Babe is working while he's on leave, he kisses them goodbye and hopes that they'll have a good day before tackling the household chores.
Laundry wash and fold, floors mop and dry, not to mention their meal plans are prep for the week; Oliver is pretty proud of his productive Monday so far.
After a light lunch, he made his way into the city for the nearest flower shop. With Autumn fast approaching, he hopes there are still some fresh flowers left. The bell tinkles delicately when Oliver push opens the door.
The shop is quaint and brightly lit. Rows of flowers are neatly displayed behind a large glass window, and more in vases are at the back of the shop. Beside the wooden working table, there are also shelves with pretty paper wrappings, velvet ribbons, cute little bottles of glitters, and a variety of glass bottles.
The best part of the shop, in Oliver's humble opinion, is that there's no one it except for the owner behind the register.
"Hey there! Is there anything that I can help you with?" The owner greets Oliver with a small smile when he approaches the counter.
"I was hoping you could make a customise bouquet with some flowers I have in mind," Oliver replies. He takes a quick around the flowers again and continues, "Marigolds, pink roses, red tulips and... white carnations. Do you have those even in Autumn?"
"You're in luck! We still have marigolds and carnations, but there are in the back. Let me grab some for you."
Oliver thank the man and lingers towards the tall vases of flowers to admire them. Viewing the flowers makes him calm and happy.
When he turns around, there is someone in the shop with him. A young man is checking out the flowers near the window. Oliver didn't hear the bell rings, so the sudden sight of the stranger nearly made his heart jumps out of his ribcage in fright.
What's comical is that when the stranger faces away from the window and their eyes meet, he looks as surprised as Oliver.
"H-Hi..." Oliver begins when they silently and awkwardly stare at each other for more than five minutes. "Are you here for the f-flowers too?" The moment that escapes from his mouth, Oliver curses himself. What kind of question is that!? A dumb one, that's what it is!
"O-Oh, hi! Hello!" The stranger flusters adorably, wringing his hands together. "I'm sorry, I didn't realise that you could... see me... A-Ah, never mind! Please forget I said anything!"
Oliver - a grown ass man - nearly coo at his shyness. The stranger reminds him of fluffy cotton candies, Babe's hugs and warm blankets for some reason. In fact... standing in front of him somehow makes his day ten times better. It's strange.
"Whoa, hey, I-I didn't mean to startle you. I'm sorry about that." Oliver hurries to apologise. "I'm just here to surprise my partner with their favourite flowers. Flowers make them happy. So I figured it's a perfect idea." He starts to ramble; his face starts to flush red in embarrassment too.
But instead of annoyance, Oliver is greeted with a wide, happy smile from the stranger.
"I'm sure they'll love it! I love flowers too! I came here to watch them because they make me feel warm and fuzzy inside, so your partner will definitely feel the same." The stranger excitedly chatters, and the shop seems to brighten like magic. His happiness is infectious because Oliver couldn't help but smile too as his embarrassment melts away.
"Thanks. You're very kind; um, are you here just to admire the flowers or are you thinking of buying for someone?"
"Uh... I'm not sure. My friends just bought a huuugggeee house, and Gavin said buying flowers as a housewarming gift is what humans usually do... Oh right! My name is Caelum! It's always fun making new friends."
"Caelum? Like the stars? That's a beautiful name. I'm Oliver and uh, same here."
Well, despite that one weird comment about humans, it gradually becomes easier to talk to the stranger - Caelum - after they trade their favourite flowers.
"I always feel sort of sad whenever the flowers wither away when Autumn comes around," Oliver admits after he explains to Caelum that each flower holds a special meaning and language. "The world loses a bit of its colours as Autumn brings it all in a state of death and decay."
Caelum pondered over Oliver's sombre words with a conflicted expression. However, his soft smile quickly returns. "It's OK to feel sad b-but you have to remember that the flowers will always come back. And that Autumn is a good thing! It means new things can grow more."
That was... quite profound. Underneath his innocence, Oliver starts to suspect that Caelum is a lot more than meets the eye. Caelum then continues to rambles about the seasons, how each makes him happy, and how much good they bring to the world.
His mouth might run for miles, but Oliver is hooked on his every word and opinion. He often speaks about his teacher and friends with great affection, the silly adventures they shared, and his endless love for baked sweets.
Caelum is too sweet for his good, Oliver decides. He's relieved that he has so many good friends to take care of him.
His rambles then suddenly stop, his eyes widen as he stares behind the shop. Oliver was about to ask what's wrong when he rapidly blurts out, "Oh! I gotta go! I had so much fun talking to you, Oliver. Let's buy flowers for our friends next time!" Caelum then sprints out of the shop as soon as the owner steps out of the back room with an armful of the flowers that Oliver requested.
"Alright, sir. Here are the flowers. Do you have a wrapping - uh, were you talking to someone? I could hear voices just now."
Oliver blinks and glances at the door Caelum just ran out from. "Made a friend, but he, uh, has to be somewhere apparently."

a/n: i finally finished this after 2536484 years of procrastination! but thanks to my moots shae and julie for showing support and giving their opinions about this concept hehe. this is the longest fic i've written wow 😳
⤷ summary: the flowershop on the street you frequently walk on going home is a wonder you didn't notice until recently when the smell of flowers caught your attention. deciding to enter it one day out of pure curiosity, you met the owner of the shop and with it, the start of a blooming romance.
Tumblr media
life was filled with repeating patterns, certain routines and habits that everybody has gotten used to doing. like the way you always took the same path when going home, passing by the familiar faces you encounter all the time, seeing the similar architecture and landscape that brings some sort of familiarity to you whenever you see it.
your feet stopped in their own accord when a sweet smell invaded your nose. you inhaled deeply, the aroma pleasant and fresh. going a few steps back, you finally saw where it was coming from. the flower shop stood out like a sore thumb in the street with its vibrant flowers that you can see through the clear glass. the sunlight was shining down upon the beautiful flowers and they looked charming even from afar.
you thought for a moment and decided that you'd stop by in the flower shop for a little while. besides, if the smell alone has caught your attention, who knows what else can?
the soft tinkle of the bell on the door signalled your presence. you were simply in awe at the sight of the decorations inside the shop. it was breathtaking. numerous flowers, bouquets, wreaths, and some that you don't know the name about were placed neatly and elegantly inside the shop to let the customers feast their eyes (and noses) upon.
giggles and loud laughter snatched you away from your thoughts, a huddled group of women and men alike are circling over something - or someone? - and they seemed to be too entertained about it than the flowers themselves. chuckling quietly, you shook your head and decided to look around the place more for yourself.
there were buckets and baskets of anemones in pinks, reds, and purple. there were also daffodils, camellias, and tulips of many colors that you can't help but get sucked in by them. you can't think which one to go to first, there are so many! the hanging plants are wonderful as well, they can make for great decoration. the succulents look cute and adorable, it can also be manageable if you find yourself too busy to take care of a plant.
you were too deep in your thoughts, caressing a blue tulip to even notice the sudden silence in the shop and the ringing of the bell at the door that tells you the previous patrons have exited the flower shop and you're now alone. or so you thought.
“beautiful,” a sing-songy, lilting voice spoke from behind you, causing you to jolt from where you're admiring the flower and turned towards the owner of the voice.
if the flowers took your breath away, well he made you get your breath stuck in your throat. he looks like he's not from around him, and simply breathing in his space is something short of disgraceful. you took in his wavy side-swept dark brown hair, and his welcoming eyes of the same color that shone with mischief. his lips are stretched into a smile.
wow, he is really tall. you're surprised he hadn't reached the ceiling of the shop. he seemed pretty intimidating with his height alone, but there's an air around him that screams playfulness.
“ah, i meant the tulips.” he apologized as a blush coated his beautiful clear cheeks, a hand touching his nape.
“oh!” you cleared your throat, immediately bringing the tulip back where it respectfully resides, “yes, they're very wonderful to look at. you have a lovely shop, uh…”
he seemed to perk up at the inquisition of his name, he chuckled to himself before offering his hand.
“oikawa tooru, nice to meet you! and thanks, i do try hard to keep this flower shop presentable for customers like you who have taste.” he winked, walking past you and you followed suit – eyes practically glued to his form as he moved swiftly around his small shop.
“must be difficult to run a business like this all by yourself,” you wondered, fingers brushing against petals that your hand can reach.
it's odd, but staying in there for just a few minutes has brought you a sense of relaxation. as if the flowers all around you and talking to oikawa is such a breath of fresh air.
“well, you get used to it after a while. besides, i have my friends, uh...help me sometimes.” he nervously chuckled, he certainly knew that 'help' means that force his friends to carry things around while blackmailing them and bribing them for lunch, then sure, he had them help him.
you only hummed in response.
he turned around after a while, a pink lily in his hand.
“i think this suits our gorgeous customer, don't you think?” he smirked, handing the flower with a flourish which you took gently – causing your hands to touch and making you feel that slight tingle people talk about in movies and books.
you felt silly about the way your face heats up at the small gesture, your gaze not straying away from the flowers in fear of letting oikawa see his effect on you.
but you can try with all your might, nothing can stop him from already seeing your flushed face. he always does these things to entertain the customers but he found his chest feeling warm staring at you like that.
going back to his place in the cashier, he started to tidy up a bit for the next customers that will visit the shop. his brown eyes kept staring at you from time to time as you walked around, trying to see if there's anything else you could buy along with the lily – but we all know it's just to keep your attention away from him and the fact that he can make your heart race with mere flirting.
“i never really noticed your shop before, and i have walked this street for how many times now.” you droned on, playing with the cute pots on the shelf – some of them were heads of the cliché green alien and other space themed stuff which you find adorable, bringing a fond smile to your face.
“oikawa's flower shop is like a secret garden, my dear customer.” he boasted, spraying freesias on the cashier desk with a smile on his face.
“it truly looks like one,” you agreed, with one final look in the flower shop, you walked closer to the cashier and got out your wallet.
“no, no. it's on the house, lovely.” he beamed, stopping the hand in your bag.
“really? thank you.” your face flushed at the feeling of his hands – the very same one who took care of these beautiful flowers – touching yours.
he recoiled, as if burned. his face painted a deep red like the roses by the windows. both of you looked away, like two magnets of the same sign – coming in contact with each other only to repel.
“well, um, i'll see you around then.” you muttered, breaking the silence.
“yeah, see you.” oikawa smiled warmly. hopefully much sooner, he hoped.
with one last look at each other, you turned around and exited the secret garden. you walked home that day all smiles and giddy, still feeling the lingering touch he has left on your skin, how warm and calloused they felt. maybe from how hard he was working.
you wondered if you'll ever see him again soon.
Tumblr media
the second time you visited the flower shop was when you saw oikawa in one of the coffee shops you frequented. it turned out that he usually stops by for coffee and his milk bread when the shop's particularly slow. he asked to walk you home and since you're both taking the same path, you agreed.
he turned out to be a very chatty person – not the kind that will annoy you because they only talk about themselves, but the amusing kind because he has a lot of stories stored inside his big brain full of tales about him and his friends, and occasionally asking about your life as well.
you two had fallen into a comfortable pace as you walked together, sipping both your beverages.
“hey, let's play truth or dare!” he blurted, eyes sparkling in excitement and thinly veiled mischief, a bright smile on his lips.
“really? here? now?” you asked, incredulous. isn't this something people do in parties around a lot of people?
“yeah! it'll be fun,” he shrugged.
“well, okay then.” you sighed, before sipping your drink, “you go first.”
“okay…” he pretended to think hard, eyes darting everywhere as he hummed, “truth or dare?”
“you don't really need to think so hard about that,” you chuckled.
“just pick!”
“alright, alright. truth!” you beamed at him, trying to understand what his brain will cook up to ask you.
“ah, that's easy. what's your name?” oh, that's right. you forgot to tell him back then the first time you went in his flower shop. and so, you told him.
“y/n. what a beautiful name. okay, my turn! my turn!” he excitedly chanted, eyes never losing their sparkle.
you ignored the butterflies that erupted in your stomach the moment he said your name, as if he's taking his time and tasting it around his tongue like a foreign delicacy he hasn't tasted before.
you cleared your throat, averting his gaze as they zeroed in on you, “truth or dare, mr. milk bread?”
“hey, they taste really good, i'll have you know.” he scoffed, before his face morphed back into excitement again, “dare!”
you thought for a moment, there isn't really anything too interesting to do while walking. and then you smirked.
“i dare you to greet the person who will walk this corner as if you knew each other for a very long time,” you grinned devilishly. he gaped at that, before darting his gaze towards the street corner you were talking about.
“y/n-chan, i didn't know you would be the type,” he teased, you were about to retort when a huge, buff man walked around the corner. he looked intimidating, even for you and you wondered what oikawa might be feeling right now.
but you didn't need to wonder about it any longer as he was already walking up to the man, confident and grinning. he raised his hand in the air before slapping the guy on the shoulder.
“hey, long time no see, man! say hello to the wife and kids for me, will ya?” the man gave him a weird look before shaking his head, walking past and minding his own business muttering about 'kids these days'.
once the guy was out of earshot, you and oikawa bursted out in laughter, looking at each other with relief and surprise.
“i thought he was going to pulverize you!” you wheezed in between chortles.
“i know! me too! i thought he'll get mad at me or something,” he threw his head back as he laughed. you stopped your own giggles to stare back at him. he looked radiant as he let himself go, you thought he looked attractive with the way he candidly showed his happiness.
“something wrong, y/n-chan?” you hadn't realized he stopped laughing and was left staring at him. his head was tilted in curiosity as he peered at you in concern.
“not at all!,” you catch yourself, suddenly feeling hot and embarrassed, hoping he didn't notice you ogling him, “where were we?”
“it's your turn now, truth or dare?” feeling bold, you chose dare next.
oikawa gave you a broad smile, his hand extending towards you as if encouraging you to take it, “i dare you to stay a little longer with me in my shop,”
to be honest? you expected him to get back at you and maybe make you do an equally embarrassing (if not more) dare, but you did not expect this.
what you also didn't expect is the fact that you had stopped in front of oikawa's flower shop with your back turned to it. how did you reach there so fast? it seemed like talking and walking with him made time stop. a part of you would like to keep it that way, if only it was possible.
“i would love to,” was your answer. oikawa opened the door to his shop, letting you in first. he then led you near the back of the shop, opening into a wide backyard that resembled a small, gorgeous garden with different kinds of flowers. some even you haven't seen him display in the shop inside.
the two of you sat on the two seated table. you were simply at awe with how ethereal this all looked. your eyes couldn't get enough of all the wonderful colors that it landed on.
“wow,” was all you managed to say, taking in your surroundings and appreciating every nook and cranny presented to you.
“i spent most of my breaks here,” oikawa came back with two glasses of water and placed them on the glass table.
“usually talking to myself and talking to the flowers. i heard it helps them grow faster and makes them more beautiful.” he, too, looked around his small garden with unconcealed pride and fondness. if you looked closer, you could also see the hint of sadness hidden in there.
“you talk to your flowers? that's so cute!” you gushed, hiding your smile behind the glass of water as you sipped it.
“if anything, you're the one who's cute.” he complimented as if it was nothing, eyes boring into yours as his smile widened.
you choked on your water, coughing it up out of surprise and it was the opposite of cute. but his opinions didn't change.
oikawa barked a laugh, reaching over to pat your back soothingly. once you calmed down, you avoided his gaze once again and decided to stare at the sunflowers nearby.
“we should just continue the game,” you decided to divert the topic.
“truth or dare, cutie?” oikawa bit back the grin from emerging on his face. hiding it with a palm propped up on the table.
“d-dare,” you answered without thinking. and oikawa being the little shit he is, took this as an opportunity.
“i dare you to go on a date with me this saturday,” he sincerely declared, eyes not leaving you once. your head whipped back to him so fast, you swear you got whiplash.
you're not one of these flowers and yet you felt the butterflies going wild inside of you.
your heart beat rapidly inside of your chest, pounding hard and ringing in your ears.
“you don't need a dare to get me to say yes,” you reasoned with a wide smile.
Tumblr media
oikawa tooru, like his flowers, is a lively, blooming person. you get to know that the moment you agreed to go on a date with him. it followed a few hangouts, and frequent bumping into each other considering this was a small town, afterall. how you haven't noticed such a vibrant person in your life was beyond you.
you see him everywhere, every day in your life right now. in the small bushes that your neighbor has in their garden, the alien and sci-fi movies in the store which were his favorite every time he invited you to watch a movie, the milk bread you saw in the coffee shop you both love to go, and even the characters in the books you love to read. oikawa tooru practically invaded your life the moment you invited yourself in his flowershop and you loved every second of it.
every time you two hang out together, he never misses to bring you any flower. you'd always keep them with you until you come home, placing them in a vase and watering them constantly, taking care of them like how much oikawa takes care of the flowers. you paid no mind to it, only thinking that it was a sweet gesture from him until your friend decided to comment on the fresh flowers on top of your coffee table.
the both of you had known each other for a very long time now and that she's going to get married, she wanted you to be a part of it too. setting down the tea in front of her on the table, you sat down beside her, engulfing her in a hug.
“oh, y/n! i missed you so much! it's been busy with all the planning for the wedding and the people to invite, i still haven't tried on my dress and tasted the cake, it's kind of stressing me out!” she immediately let her sorrows and agony free the moment you let go of the hug.
“speaking of stress, is there anything i could do to help?” you reached for her hand, rubbing it soothingly in circles.
she hummed thoughtfully, sipping her tea to calm her nerves, “now that i thought about it, we still don't know anyone good enough for the flower decorations in the venue,” she pouted, sighing sadly.
a lightbulb lit itself on top of your head, making you perk up, “i know someone who does!”
“really? are they good?” oh more than good, you wanted to butt in but shake your head free of those thoughts.
“of course! he's actually the one who gave me these, he takes real good care of them.” you gestured towards the tulips in your vase. it seems like her eyes lit up and she immediately fell in love with the flowers.
“tulips?! oh, y/n, my dear, he's in love with you!” she squealed in glee, bouncing in her seat like a little kid.
“how did you know that by simply looking at my tulips?”
“giving tulips to someone means a declaration of love, sweetie.” she sighed dreamily, “you might as well plan for your wedding too!”
“don't be ridiculous!” you exclaimed, trying your best not to smile too wide.
you weren't too against on the idea, but you just met afterall. it would be too early for another wedding. even though he never failed to show his affection every time you are together, there's still a lingering doubt whether he did like you in that way.
as promised, you asked oikawa about it the next day, stopping by his flower shop with coffee and his beloved milk bread since it's his break.
“y/n-chan! it's always a pleasure to be visited by you again,” he greeted you, he was attending to a few customers in the store and excused himself before talking to you. your heart swelled with the action, not being able to hide your smile this time.
“tooru, i was just stopping by to ask you a favor. my friend's wedding is getting near and she still doesn't have any flower decorations for the venue. i mentioned you and i was wondering if you're the one who could do it instead?” you bit your lip nervously, fumbling with the paperbag containing the bread as you looked up at him hopefully.
seriously, how can he resist you looking at him that way? your eyelashes fluttering, mouth formed into a pout, eyes shining brightly. you're just asking him to devour you whole. before he knew it, he had leaned in to peck the corner of your mouth.
it completely shocked you to your core. he hasn't done that kind of thing before, always being respectful and never doing anything you didn't want to. but strangely, you weren't mad at him for it. to tell the truth, you kinda wished he kissed you more.
“i'd love to, y/n-chan.” he uttered, pinching your cheek before turning to hide his own reddened face.
that was basically the last time you saw each other since you recommended him to your friend. and since then, he has been busy and you tried to help with the wedding as well. you figured oikawa has his hands full with taking care of the decorations for the wedding, but even then, he would still message you or even facetime you after – asking about how yiur day went and craving to see your face without him being able to for how long.
the day of the wedding came and it was magical. your heart melted the moment your friends said their “i do's” as everybody clapped and rejoiced with them. the moment you stepped into the venue, everyone was amazed, speechless at the decorations being the first thing their eyes could feast upon. pink and white roses was all you could see – ranging from vine-like ones hanging from the ceiling, to arches in the doorway, and some are even placed neatly on the tables.
to sum it all, it was breathtaking.
“your boyfriend did amazing,” your friend teased, bumping her hip to yours as she walked away with her husband to greet some guests.
you were left standing there, mouth agape as you took everything in. you couldn't wrap your head around the idea of oikawa managing to do all this by himself, but then again, he has surprised you by doing a lot of things you didn't know he could do.
“you know, if you stayed here longer there won't be enough food left for you.” the familiaf voice you grew to love and got used to spoke from behind you. something tugged in your chest, the events seeming like déjà vu all over again.
“i'm just admiring your work, tooru.” you smiled, turning around to face the man behind the beautiful decorations.
he's changed his clothes into a more formal attire than his usual getup with the aprons and white button up shirt for a maroon suit and tie. he even styled his hair back, if you didn't know him long enough you might have mistaken him for someone else.
“you look...good,” you managed to breathe out, it seems like the decorations aren't the only ones that are breathtaking. your eyes drank him in, how the clothes hug his frame perfectly, the color complimenting his skin tone, and the fact that his fluffy hair is swept away really makes you want to jump his bones right here, right now.
“and you look gorgeous. i must say, i don't mind you looking like this all the time, y/n-chan.” he chuckled, a shit-eating grin blooming on his face as he eyed you up and down slowly. your face grew hot against his stare and you felt naked, as if his eyes can see through you.
“th-thanks, tooru.” you mumbled, playing with the hem of your clothes. before any of you could speak, however, the emcee spoke on stage calling out the bride and groom to give a speech.
you all gathered around the small stage as they thanked everyone for coming to the wedding, inclduing the guests, their helpers, the staff. after all the mushy speech, she declared it was time for the dance, turned around and threw the bouquet (that's also from oikawa) to the audience.
you saw the thing flying to you and out of pure instinct, you threw your hand in front of you and ended up catching the bouquet. everyone around you clapped including oikawa himself as you stared at it wide eyed. your gazed met oikawa's and as if your face couldn't get any hotter, you also felt the fast beating of your heart when you stared at each other.
everybody howled and chanted teasing remarks at the two of you. instead of paying attention to the newly weds they picked the two of you as the center of their amusement.
your friend's voice overpowered them all as she also chanted, “kiss! kiss! kiss! kiss!”
oikawa looked at you with a raised brow and you can only smile bashfully in return before you felt the world turn upside down, oikawa dipping you as he kissed you passionately and deeply. time seemed to stop once again as everything blurred and all you can feel is him, and all he can feel is you. he hoped it would be enough to pour all the emotions and words he wanted you to know.
it felt like the kiss lasted forever before he pulled away, the two of you out of breath as you giddily smiled at each other, both sharing a lovestruck look.
“is it too early to ask you to marry me?”

4 times Mat was caught simping by his friends and 1 time you caught him.
Mat Barzal x reader
4375 words
Thank you to @smiley-svechnikov for helping me with it :)
September 30th
When Anthony walked into Mat’s apartment, he expected to find his teammate on the sofa. What he didn’t expect however, was to find Mat laying on the sofa reading a book. He’d never in their however many years of knowing each other seen Mat read a book for fun. Tito had come over to see if Mat wanted to grab some lunch together on their day off but now his interests had changed.
Mat still hadn’t noticed the presence of his friend, being too concentrated on what he was reading to pay attention to his surroundings. Hearing a cough broke him out of his trance and made him let out a startled noise. Shooting up from his position on his couch, he came eye to eye with the blue eyes of his favorite teammate. If he hadn’t been so caught if guard, he would have noticed the impressed look in them.
“You scared the shit out of me.” was the only thing Mat could think of to say at that moment.
Tito let out a laugh at his reaction.
“How about you scaring me? I come over here to find you reading. Like an actual book, are you okay Barzy?”
Mat knew that Tito was just teasing him but he still rolled his eyes in over dramatic Barzal fashion. He’d read books in the past. Granted they were about hockey, but they were books nonetheless.
“Y/n just finished this one and she’s been talking about it all week. I figured I could just read it so I actually knew what she’s talking about next time. It’s longer than I expected it to be so it’s taking more time that I planned.”
Tito’s eyes widened slightly. Mat said it so casually, as if that was a normal thing to do for someone who was supposedly ‘just a friend’.
Obviously he didn’t believe it when Mat told him that. There was no way you and Mat were just friends. But Anthony wasn’t someone who meddles in others people’s business. Besides, he didn’t want to put any pressure on yours and Mat’s friendship in case the two of you hadn’t figured it out yet. However at this moment he couldn’t help himself.
His scoff confused Mat who didn’t feel like he’d said something strange.  His look of confusing forced Anthony to explain.
“Oh come on, you’re reading a book for her. Don’t act like everything is normal. I can ignore you paying for all her drinks and you giving her your sweatshirts when she’s cold but I can’t ignore this. You have to see it.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
And he really didn’t. Mat was clueless as to what Tito was hinting at.
“You don’t have to tell me anything but just think about it. You are reading a book she likes and she hasn’t even asked you to read it, surely that means something. I came here to ask you if you wanted to get lunch but from the Taco Bell on the table I see you’ve already eaten so I’ll just leave you to it.”
All Mat did was let out a noise of agreement before his teammate was out the door. He stared at his book with a vacant look for a while trying to process what Tito meant with what he said. Suddenly he didn’t feel like reading anymore. Leaving the book on the table next to his empty wrappings from before, he took off to take a shower.
Mat Barzal was simping before he even realized he was.
December 12th
Mat didn’t really think about Tito’s words much longer. They were out of his head as soon as he was out of the shower. That was a couple of weeks ago and nothing had changed in the way he thought about you. He still called you after every game to let out his happiness about winning or to discuss the things he could’ve done better.
Tomorrow however he wouldn’t have to do that anymore seeing as you were flying out to stay in New York for a week. And Mat was fucking excited about it. He hadn’t seen you in person since September when his training camp started and you had college to attend, and that was almost three months ago.
September was always the hardest month to go through. After spending practically the entire off season in Vancouver together, being in different countries was a big change.
Mat could barely contain his excitement driving to the airport. Messages were just not enough anymore when he got to talk to the real you in approximately 20 minutes. Seeing you standing at the airport with your bags waiting for him to pick you up, all he could think about was how it was all worth it.
~
His feelings of excitement continued all throughout the next day as well. He’d never had as much trouble taking his pregame nap as that day.
But getting ready to leave for the arena, he felt good. On the one hand he was nervous because he wanted to play well, but on the other hand having you there calmed him down like nothing else could. He was feeling confident in himself and the team and was sure they were going to pull out a win.
You on the other hand, were shitting it. It had been a while since you had seen Mat play in real life and you really wanted him to win. More than that you wanted him to enjoy himself and winning was a lot more fun than losing. On top of that Mat had insisted you sit with the Wags who you didn’t really know all that well. He’d assured you they were all great and while you believed that, you still felt like you’d be an outsider. It might look like you were his girlfriend -you were wearing his jersey after all- but you certainly weren’t and you weren’t sure if you could handle any questions about your relationship.
You decided you should tell him how you felt in an attempt to calm yourself down. So when you got into the car to drive to the arena the first words out of your mouth were: “Mat I’m nervous.”. You knew you were overreacting and felt a bit silly for being this nervous when Mat was the one who actually had to get on the ice and do something.
Mat however never made you feel stupid about anything, not even something as small as this.
“Why? You just have to go meet some new people and absolutely amaze them with your personality, which by the way comes naturally and takes you no effort because you are amazing, and then I’ll spend the rest of the season answering questions about when I’ll bring you around again.”
His words were teasing but you knew he meant them and it still helped you feel more at ease about the situation you were about to find yourself in.
“How about this, I’ll walk you up to the box so you don’t have to go in there alone.” He continued still sensing your anxiety.
Your heart swelled up at the suggestion. Mat just kept amazing you with what he was willing to do for you.
“Would you not be late if you do that?”
“Nah it’ll be fine, I’ll just have to get dressed a bit faster.” He hesitated after that and turned to you with a smirk on his face. “Or I could just drive a little faster.”
This caused you to panic and slap his arm closest to you. “No you can’t do that! We won’t even make it to the arena.”
Mat let you his typical laugh at that and the last of your worries flooded to the back of your mind.
When you arrived, Mat kept his promise and went with you to meet the Wags for the first time. You might have not noticed the smile on his face after he hugged you and once again whispered in your ear that it would all be fine, but they sure did.
 December 13th
When you woke up the next day, you felt a little bit of a headache coming up. The Isles did manage to pull out a win the night before and Tito practically forced you and Mat to go out and celebrate with the rest of the team. While you really liked the other Wags, you were still a bit uncomfortable holding a conversation with them so you had decided to drink just enough to take the edge off.
You thanked your past self for being responsible and for not trying to keep up with Mat, who drank a lot more than you did. You still didn’t understand how that boy could drink so much and still be able to walk. Thinking back to last night, you felt it was a good idea to go check up on him and see how he was doing. Making the short trip to the other side of the hallway didn’t take much time even if you did stop at the bathroom to check your reflection. When you reached your destination, you were surprised to not see Mats face staring back at you from his bed.
Checking up on the kitchen and living room, you still couldn’t find Mat and you were starting to get a little worried. He hadn’t left the apartment after you went to sleep had he? Pulling your phone out to send a quick message to Tito asking if he’d seen Mat, an unread message from the boy in question caught your attention.
“Getting breakfast, be back in 20.”
received 18 minutes ago
Okay, so you were worried for no reason. At least you knew where he was now.
You settled down at the kitchen island and entertained yourself with your phone until Mat came back about ten minutes later.
“You’re about six minutes late Barzal. Any excuses?” was what you opened with once you saw him come into the kitchen.
“You know, funny story because you said that to mock me but I do actually have an excuse.”
You looked at him expectantly and he looked back with a playful expression on his face. When he doesn’t say anything else for a few moments you notice he has his hands behind his back. Looking back up at him, you raise an eyebrow to signal for him to continue.
Your whole face lit up when he pulls breakfast from behind his back along with a small bouquet of flowers.
“Oh my god you got me flowers? Why would you do that?”
“Apparently there’s a new flower shop next to the place I always get my breakfast and these were in the windowsill. I know they’re your favorite so I couldn’t not buy them.”
The last of his words were muffled as you jumped up to give him the biggest hug possible, thank yous coming out of your mouth for the next minute. As you finally settled down to eat together after a while, you couldn’t stop smiling. You still couldn’t believe Mat got you flowers.
After cleaning up the dishes you took to Instagram to post the beautiful bouquet on your story. And when Mat got a phone call from one of your mutual friends that night to taunt him about the flowers, he began to understand why people always called him out on his actions.
 June 2nd
You knew going out the day before was a bad idea. Mat had invited you to the lake with him and a couple of his friends and because you couldn’t say no to him, you went. And you got sunburned. It wasn’t your fault really, you had applied sunscreen at least three times but it happened to be exceptionally hot that day. Besides that, being out on the water for four hours didn’t make the situation any better.
It was mostly your back that was hurting and it prevented you from finding a comfortable position in your bed. After another painful turn you decided that you needed to go find a bottle of after-sun asap. Turning on the bathroom light you came into contact with your reflection for the first time that day. Your face and arms were slightly red but your back somehow looked even worse than it felt. Silently cursing Mat for convincing you to go out and yourself for not putting up more of a fight you opened the cabinet door in search of the bottle that would relieve you of your pain.
Except you couldn’t find it, neither in that cabinet or the next. It occurred to you that you might’ve left it at your friend’s house when you last went swimming. Concluding that you weren’t going to find it in your room, you went to your parents bathroom. Alas, the universe had apparently decided that today wasn’t your day as you couldn’t find anything. Your luck got even better as you remembered your parents were out with friends and had taken the car so that you couldn’t even go to the store to buy a new bottle.
Going back to your room to find your phone, you saw that it was only half past eight. Part of you felt guilty having to call Mat at such an early time to help you out somehow. The other part of you felt like it was at least a little justified as it was him you asked you to stay out in the sun. You sent him a text anyway asking if he was awake yet. It took a while for Mat to reply but when he did you took no time to call him figuring it would be easier to beg him that way.
“Hello?”
His voice wasn’t as deep as it usually was in the mornings. It even sounded like he was a little out of breath. Deciding to not waste any more time you got straight to the point.
“What are you doing right now?”
The reason why Mat was out of breath was because he was training with Tyson that morning. Looking back it hadn’t been his smartest decision to agree to an early morning workout after not having slept a lot the night before.
“I’m training with Tys today. Why? Is something wrong?”
“Oh no I’m fine, I’m just dying a slow and painful death at this moment.”
Mat’s first instinct was to panic at your words until he realized that you had to be fine if you had the option to be that over dramatic. Before he could respond though, Tyson called for his attention.
“Are we running or what?”
Waving him off with his hand Mat turned to speak to you again.
“I’m kind of busy right now but I’ll call you back after if you want me to?”
“No please I actually need your help.” Your response came very quickly and it peaked his interest.  “I am really fucking sunburned and I’ve searched my entire house but I can’t find any after-sun. On top of that my parent apparently enjoy to see me suffer because they’ve taken the car so I can’t go to the store. I guess my question is if you would maybe perhaps please go to the store and pick up a bottle for me?”
Your voice had gotten higher as you came to the end of your little speech clearly indicating that you needed something from him. Even though Mat couldn’t see your face, he knew that you were putting on your best puppy eyes.
“ I’ll go to the store after I’m done here.”
“But that’s still so long.” You whined dragging out your last word. “I’m actually in a lot of pain and you are my only hope right now. Please Mat.”
He could argue all he wanted, but deep down Mat knew that he’d made his decision already. He couldn’t say no to you even if he tried. He sighed and at that moment you knew you’d won.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you!” you sang happily through the phone.
“Yeah yeah only this one time though.”
His words had no truth behind them. And now he had to explain to Tyson why he had to quit their workout after only forty minutes.
When Mat turned around, he found Tyson already looking at him with a smirk that Mat had become quite familiar with in the last year or so and it was reserved specifically for these types of situations.
“So I actually have to go right now, y/n needs my help.”
This caused Tyson to burst out laughing.
“Barzy you are so incredibly whipped.”
Mat only rolled his eyes in response knowing it was useless to try and change Tyson’s mind. He packed up his things and made an effort to avoid eye contact as he left the field.
+ 1.  Driving past the city lights made all the tension in your shoulders disappear. This has been just what you needed, only now realizing the stress of trying to find a job was really getting to you. The two-month break after finishing university was a well needed rest after four years of hard work but you were well aware that it couldn’t last forever. You had to start living your life now. Getting an apartment in Vancouver was far from cheap and finding a job was proving to be harder that you’d thought.
Sighing contently and resting your head on the window you turn to Mat. He looks ridiculously good driving his car under streetlights. If it wasn’t for the fact that you were so deep in the friendzone you could stare at him forever. But Mat being Mat had to ruin the peaceful atmosphere by belting out the lyrics to whatever song had just come on the radio.
“Jesus Christ Mat, if I wanted to listen to off key singing I would just record myself.”
“Oh don’t do me like that y/n, you know I have the voice of an angel.”
“One that’s getting his wings ripped out maybe.”
Mat gave you an offended look.
‘Okay rude. Don’t forget who’s driving an hour to bring you to go stargazing in the fricking middle of the night. Don’t be ungrateful”
It was your turn to be offended now.
“Which was your idea must I remind you. But you are right, I appreciate it very much.”
He looked happy with your response as he went back to quietly singing along to the radio. It wouldn’t take too long for you to arrive at your destination. You recognized the signs by the side of the road.
Excitement filled your stomach. You hadn’t been at the lookout in a couple of months and while you knew Mat was joking about you needing to thank him, you were really grateful for him taking you. This specific lookout had been your happy place ever since you first discovered it when you were fifteen. And now being twenty-two, it still had an effect on you. Mats voice broke you out of your thoughts once again.
“So, you can tell me how much you love me when we get out of the car and under the sky. Unless your plan is to just sit in the car and look out the window.”
“Yeah no that is actually what I wanted to do, I’m so glad we’re on the same wavelength.”
Your statement was followed by a challenging smile that you regretted as soon as he sent you one of his own in return. You knew Mat was stubborn, annoyingly so. And now your stupid comment meant that he would not be getting out of his car until you took it back. In a different situation you would have sat like this for hours but on this specific night you really needed to see the stars to calm the doubts that seemed to follow you around.
“Just get out of the car.” You sighed while opening up the door on your side.
Walking to the picnic bench in the middle of the grass you could hear his laughter even before he got out of the car.
“How do you always know exactly how to get on my nerves Barzal?”
You didn’t have to wait long on his response.
“Because I know you. I have known you. For about ten years now. You might think you’re mysterious but you’re far from it.”
You chuckle at that, choosing to close your eyes and lay your head down on the bench. A moment of silence comes over both of you. Turning to face Mat you see he’s already looking at you.
“Tell me.”
Your reaction draws a small smile from him and you feel the sudden urge to run your fingers over his cheeks to try and capture it in your hands.
“I know that you did not want to come say hello when you moved into the house next to mine. I know that your dad forced you to and that you thanked him for it a year later because you met me.”
You almost pushed him off the bench for that but the smile on your face told Mat that you weren’t really annoyed at him. He stopped talking for a while after he heard it. Crazy how you could make him lose his train of thought by doing something so easy. He realized after a while that he should probably continue talking, more for his sake than yours.
“I know that your least favorite color is purple but that you don’t like saying that because it makes you feel bad. I know that you don’t like to put your hair in a ponytail because it gives you a headache. I know that your favorite book is the song of Achilles and that you get sunburned by being in the sun for like thirty minutes and that despite that you’re always out of after-sun.”
His face turned serious after that.
“I know that coming here and watching the stars is your favorite way to calm down but that you’ve not asked me to bring you because you don’t want to bother me. I know that you’ve been extremely stressed thinking now that you’ve finished school you have a deadline to do all the adult things you feel like you’ve missed out on until now. I know that thinking about the future freaks you out and that all you want to do right now is just lay here and not go back home.”
You don’t speak after Mat finished his little monologue, trying to process what he had just said.
“But I know that you’ll be fine.”
This causes you to scoff. The fact that he was trying to reassure you was sweet really, but you knew that he couldn’t possibly be sure of that. Mat was great at pretty much everything he did, but no one could predict the future.
“Y/n I know that you don’t believe me but everything will turn out alright.”
“And how do you know that Mat? I appreciate you being here for me but the things I’m dealing with are slightly out of your field of expertise. I’m terrified that I’ve spend my entire life studying for something that I’m completely unprepared for. I have no idea what direction I want to go in with my professional career and I don’t have time to think about it because I need to find an apartment in like three months unless I want to live with my parents for the rest of my young adulthood. I can’t afford to wait much longer.”
“Move in with me then.”
Everything paused for a second. You almost asked him to repeat himself but the look in his eyes told you that you’d heard him right the first time. You took the time that it took you to slowly sit up from your position on the bench to collect your thoughts. Still you couldn’t come up with much more than “You don’t mean that.”
“I get that you’re stressed about everything right now, but you don’t have to be. I can help you figure it out.”
“Mat you’re not serious” you interrupted him. “I can’t ask you to babysit me, you have your own things to deal with.”
“You’re not asking me to. And I’m not babysitting you, I want you in New York with me as much you need an apartment.”
Your head was spinning even more than at the start of the evening. Moving in with Mat. It would be everything you’ve ever wanted. But it wasn’t like that. He wanted you there to take care of you as a friend. As much as it hurt you to say no to him, you knew that you couldn’t do it like that.
“Mat I can’t ask you to put your life on pause for me. I-”
“Y/n I love you. I have no idea how you haven’t figured it out by now because my friends have reassured me that I’ve been very obvious, but I. Love. You. I’ve wanted to ask you to move with me for an entire year now. I want you with me not to take care of you but to hold you and kiss you and reassure you. I want to give you the future you want. And I can give it to you.”
At this point Mat was furiously running his fingers through his hair and you were staring at him open-mouthed.
“I’ve probably fucked everything up by saying this but I can’t let you believe that you don’t deserve everything good the world had to offer.”
You couldn’t think. It was like your body was moving on auto-pilot. So it surprised you just as much as it did Mat when you jumped up to press your lips against his. You pulled back quickly though to start your own rant.
“Mat I want that. I want you, in Vancouver and in New York and everywhere you’ll take me.”
You didn’t need a reply. The way he kissed you told you that he was on board with anything you said. And you were so exited about it.

Whisking me out away from work, Gavin takes me to the outskirts of Loveland to see a lantern festival. Riding Sparky for almost an hour, I hug his waist while looking at the scenery. Clear blue sky, a field of thousand flowers, and butterflies dancing around as we pass by. Not long, we arrive at our destination: a small town where there's a lantern festival is held for a week. The motorbike stops in front of the hotel parking lot.
I take off my helmet and hop off before giving it to him. Looking around the small yet festive town, my eyes instantly light up with joy and excitement. White houses and buildings, children running around with bouquet of fresh flowers and lanterns in their hands, laughing and giggling joyfully. Seeing this, I forgot all of my worries fatigue and work.
"Kazie" Gavin calls my name softly, his voice coming behind me. I turn around and met his amber eyes, eyes that's looking at me with tenderness and warmth, a bouquet of red roses in his hands. When did he... "For you." He smiles as I take the bouquet from him. I inhale the sweet scent of the flowers before closing the distance between us and tiptoes, kissing him in the cheeks.
Tumblr media
"Thank you Gavin."
The sound of children's giggles reaches our ears and his cheeks reddens. He looks at them and thanks them, then a little girl took this chance and approaches me, her blue eyes sparkling. She holds out a daisy to me and runs away happily when I accepted and thanked her. "So cute~" I look back to the smiling Gavin and an idea came into my mind. I turn to him, his back is on me, I hug him from behind and tucks the flower in his ear, lips curling into a playful smile.
His eyes widened and turns his head to look at me. I giggle with the kids as I boop his nose, earning a chuckle from him. Hands reaching out to take the flower, and when he was about to take it off, I press my free hand above his. "Don't take it off Gav..."
He covers my hand with the other, intwining it with his and takes the daisy.
"Silly..." He speaks, a hint of laughter in his voice as he takes the flower and turns around, holding hands. The afternoon sunlight and the orange sky tainted his features, making him look more soft and handsome. Slender fingers tucks the strands of my hair then puts the daisy after. "There." I stare at him as I clutch the bouquet tightly, entranced at how he looks right now. "Beautiful." He smiles, looking straight at me.
Heat rushes up to my face, my cheeks burning red.
"Is there something on my face?"
"You're just too precious and handsome~" I giggled, eyes crinkling.
"....." The tips of his ears turns red, making me chuckle.
"You're so cute Gavin!"
"Ahem... You're cuter."
My heart flutters at the sight of the blushing Gavin, scratching the back of his neck, looking away. He's too precious. I look back at the still-giggling kids and their lanterns caught my eye. Noticing my stare, Gavin's lips curls upward. "Do you want lanterns too? There's a shop over there, they sell shaped lanterns. But if you're tired we ca-"
I excitedly pulled his hand cutting him off. "Yes!" My enthusiastic reply made him chuckle and squeeze his hand. "I'm still full of energy!"
"Alright. Then let's go."
He thanks the kids again and takes me to the stalls just around the corner and while we walk, unlit lanterns came to view. Our surroundings was full of differently shaped lanterns, comes in different color and sizes. I grip the bouquet in my hands as I follow him when I saw heart shaped lanterns. "Want those?" He asks as his eyes follows where I'm looking. "Yes."
We went to a small stall and I pick up the heart shaped lantern. "Ah. Good afternoon." An elder woman greets us in a friendly manner, in her hands is newly made lantern. "You have a good eyes. These are the last pair of heart lanterns miss. You can also write wishes before you release them to the sky. Any wishes will do."
I turn to look at Gavin who's looking at the other lanterns. "Gav, can we have this?" I look at the other pair and showing it to him. "Sure." He takes the other one and pays for it. "Let's have dinner, it's getting dark now and we'll go fly these lanterns after dinner." He smiles and puts a hand in my waist.
"Wait." Just when we're about to leave, the elder woman calls us. "You forgot this." She puts two brushes and a small bottle of ink. "To write your wishes." The elder smiles. "Thank you ma'am." Gavin nods as the takes it puts it inside the his jacket pocket. "Anything else?" He takes my lantern and takes me by hand as we look at the lantern stalls. Flower lanterns hanging and perched in the stall tables, they start to light one by one until they're all lighted up.
I feel like in the sea and blanket of stars as we walk. "It's like... we're walking in sea of stars." I speak in awe. "I don't want to leave... I want this moment to freeze forever." I mutter. "We'll definitely walk through like this again." He smiles assuredly while looking straight at me. His answer surprised and confused me. 'Again?' what does he mean... We'll comeback here in the future again?'
"You must be hungry. Let's eat dinner." My train of thoughts vanishes when he spoke. I realized that my stomach is empty and only ate bread for lunch. "Sure~" I answer, hoping that he won't know. Smiling gold orbs meets mine as we walk, his eyes shines more brightly than those lanterns around us.
I squeeze his hand and does the same to mine. Walking out from the lines of shops, we head directly back to the hotel, hand and hand.

Tumblr media
"The moon is beautiful tonight..." I mutter as I look at the full moon, surrounded by blanket of stars. The sound of paddles rowing in the water stops and I look around. Taking our lanterns and grabbing our brushes, we dip it in the bottle of ink. "Let's write our wishes~"
"Mm." He nods as he starts to write. I think I know what to wish for. My lips quirks up as I write my wish, the brush leaving black ink in the paper.
"To spend my time and whole life with someone I love."
I smile, looking at my written wish. And I'm confident, really confident that this one will come true. Putting the brush down, I look at Gavin who's still writing his wish. His features are a bit stern as he writes, his brows furrowing cutely and puts his brush down. "Finished yours?" He asks as he takes out a box of matches, lighting his and my lantern. "Don't peek!"
"I won't." He chuckles, his amber eyes shinning like gold from the light coming from the lantern. "Ready?"
"Mhm." I nod and we raise our hands, letting go of our lanterns and watch them float up high into the sky. Then, we lanterns starts to appear one by one, filling up the sky, joining ours. Something was flickering faraway that I didn't notice. Lights surrounds the shore, drifting towards us. "So beautiful..." Mesmerized by the water lanterns, I didn't feel him change places and sit beside me untile he puts a hand on my waist, pulling me closer to him.
Tumblr media
I rest my head on his shoulder, watching the sea of star-like lanterns float around us. The moon peaks out from the lanterns, shinning brightly.
"Beautiful..."
"Hm?"
"The moon is beautiful tonight, Gavin..." I smile softly, twining my fingers with his before squeezing it. His hand squeezes mine back. He takes my chin with his other hand, tilting my face to look at him, our lips almost touching. "I love you to the moon and back, Kazie..." He spoke softly as I stare at his handsome face. He closes the distance between us, his lips meeting mine.
Gavin breaks the kiss first, looking at me tenderly. Wind suddenly surrounds us as he stands up and steps out of the boat, standing in the water, his hand tugging mine. I stand up and step out hesitantly, and when I did, his evol supports us both. Letting go of my hand, I giggle as he steps back and bows down. "Can I ask this beautiful girl..." His ears turns red adorably, holding his hand out to me.
"Ahem... May I have this dance?" Amber orbs shinning, while looking straight to mine. "Yes~" He kisses the back of my hand after I put it above his.
I put my other hand in his shoulder and his hands pulls me close to him, our bodies pressed together. We start to move when a familiar music from the shore reaches our ears. He starts to hums along with the music, guiding me through the dance, carefully avoiding the lanterns as we do. We dance around, smiling happily to each other.
Water lanterns moves along with us while drifting further into the lake. Soon, the music slows down and so are our movements. I rest my head in his shoulder as we dance slowly, matching the new music. "Thank you for taking me here Gavin... I really like it, no... Love it. I really enjoyed everything. Starting when we're passing by the fields of flowers, when we just got here in this small beautiful down, the candle lit dinner... And this..."
I pause, looking straight into his eyes. "Thank you so much."
"You're welcome Pumpkin. You looked stress lately and you made me worry. And I heard from Eli that there's a lantern festival here... So I plan to take you here to relax and enjoy." With a warm glint in his eyes, he kisses my forehead. "We'll go back here again... In the future."
"Mm."
'Even he, himself is busy... He really cleared his schedule just for me...' I hug him tightly, burying my face in his chest.
"Thank you so much, love."
"Anything for you, my love"
He kisses me once more and we stayed like that, embracing each other as we watch the lanterns float around us like blankets of stars.
May our wishes come true and let us spend our time together until we grow old. Spending my whole life with you.

Cheer you up - Carter Hart
Tumblr media
Summary: Carter was the best boyfriend you could ever hoped for. The two of you moved in together at the start of quarantine and with school starting up for you again, you’ve been super stressed. He decides to do something nice for you and he planned the perfect at home self care night. When he went shopping he grabbed the wrong kind of face mask and his reaction is more then enough to cheer you up.
Warnings: None this is just super fullfy and cute
Word count: 2k+
Back to school was your favorite times of year. There was something about buying new supplies and the rush of campus that made electricity flow through your body but this year was different. Not only were you cooped up in Philly with your boyfriend Carter but it was your last year of university which added some pressure.
You had met Carter when you guys were sixteen and it was the definition of love at first sight. You went to everyone of his games and were more then extatic when he got drafted to Philly. You had just started university so you stayed in Alberta while he got to live his dream. You guys made the distance work but you were definitely missing some of those quality time moments your friends took for granted in their relationships. When this whole mess of a pandemic started, Carter asked you to move in with him for the time being and you jumped at the chance.
The months before Carter was sent to Toronto were filled with you searching for internships and him doing whatever training he could do at home so you would usually do your own thing but together. The first few weeks of Carter being sent home from the bubble were hard but he had you there to cook him all of his favourites and spend endless nights cuddling to his favorite movies. It was exactlly what he needed to recover as the summer slowly faded away. Now as autumn filled the air it was once again your turn to be stressed.
It was a sunny September morning and you found yourself on your second cup of coffee in Carter’s home office. Your makeup was done perfectly and your hair was pulled up into a messy bun as one of Carter's worn out practices hoodies hung on your frame. You were thankful that your laptop camera cut out the fact you were still in your pjs with a blanket wrapped tight around your waist. As much as you liked the idea of Zoom lectures, the several hours of classes and meetings really dragged the fun out of your days.
Around 10am your boyfriend stumbled out of bed and you could hear the soft hum of music and dishes clanking coming from the kitchen as he made the two of you breakfast. After a few minutes you heard the door slowly creek open and you were met with a sleepy Carter. A smile covering your lips as you watched him make his way into the room. His hair was tousled in every direction and his pjs hung low on his waist giving you a clear view of his entire bare torso. You weren’t with Carter because he was a professional athlete but it was mornings like this you that you could appreciate all the hours he spent training.
You turned off your webcam as he put a smoothie bowl in front of you and planted a kiss on your temple, mumbling a soft I love you against your skin. You pulled him in for a quick kiss and he was gone again. This is how most days went. Carter would bring you breakfast and lunch and refill your water through the day while you worked and he knew when you finally stumbled out of the room it was time for dinner. He was more than happy to have you around but he wished you didn’t have to spend so many hours locked away.
This morning in particular he could see how drained you were and decided that tonight would be all about you. You deserved it with all the hard work you’d been doing. Slipping into your shared bedroom he got dressed and texted you quickly saying he was running to the store and he’d be back soon.
The one thing about Carter was that he prided himself on how romantic he was. He knew you like the back of his hand and used that to his advantage whenever he possible could. Whether it was expensive dinners when you were together, sending you bouquets of sunflowers when he was away or the odd care package full of his clothes with sweet notes in the pockets, the boy knew how to make you happy. Something the two of you had never done though was self care which in hindsight should’ve been one of your first dates because of how much you loved it.
This was the game plan. He was going to the store to pick up all the ingredients he needed to cook you your favorite food, some instant cookie dough for you guys to bake after dinner, face masks to do together and new vanilla soap to end the night with a bath together. After what seemed like the longest shopping experience ever he was met with the last stop, picking out face masks. It didn’t cross Carter's mind that there could be so many different kinds to choose from it kind of overwhelmed him. How could there be this much variety of things you put on your face? Why did they come in so many colors? So many scents? Lost, he randomly grabbed a black bottle for himself and a soft violet one for you and headed home.
When he returned you were still nose deep in books in the same position he left you so he knew you wouldn’t be finished anytime soon. He put the bathroom supplies into a cute basket he picked up and placed it on the corner of the counter as he started assembling dinner. After a few hours you were brought out of your daze by the smell of something delicious filling the room. Closing your book and laptop you decided to wrap it up for the day and see what your boyfriend was up to.
As you made your way to the kitchen you were met with Carters back as he was portioning something out onto two plates. You were in awe as you turned your attention to the table. It was perfectly set with a fresh vase of flowers and your favorite candles were lit to set the mood. You caught your boyfriends eye as he made his way over to the table to set down the two plates. Making his way over to you, he placed his hands lazily around you and placed a kiss on your forehead.
“Surprise babe!” He was beaming with pride as he walked you to your chair, pulling it out for you to sit.
“What is all this for?” You panicked for a moment thinking you forgot an anniversary or something important. Carter could hear the concern in your voice which made him laugh.
“Just wanted to do something nice for my girl that’s all.” He smiled widely as he filled your glass with white wine.
The meal was absolutely delicious and the company was even better. As you picked up your plate to clear it Carter sent you a look and you slowly placed it back down. He had a rule where if he cooked for you he refused to let you touch the dishes because it was his way of showing how much he loved you. The same rule went a few minutes later as the two of you struggled to make the world's easiest cookies.
“Carter you have to twist it!” You giggled as you watched your boyfriend struggle to pry the top off the cookie dough.
“That doesn’t make sense Y/n!” Tired of watching him struggle you snatched it from his hand.
“Hey! Give that back!” He yelled as he began to chase you around the kitchen. He eventually snatched you by the waist, pulling your back into his chest. At the same time you tapped the cylinder off the counter and cranked it with a hard twist and watched the dough split open.
Pouting into your shoulder Carter let out a sigh of defeat and exhaustion.
“See, if you listened you could have avoided the work out.”
“For you sweetheart, I’d run to the other side of the world .” He leaned down and brought you into a sweet kiss. Even after six years, fireworks still exploded in your stomach everytime his lips touched yours.
“Hey Alexa, play kinda freaking in love with you on spotify.” You placed the cookie dough on the counter and wrapped your arms around his neck as he placed his around your waist. You danced around your kitchen for what felt like an eternity. The two of you swaying and spinning, looking into the other eyes with such admiration. Both of you thinking of how sweet this moment would be at your wedding but keeping those thoughts locked up tight. Eventually the preheating timer for the oven went off and ripped the two of you out of your day dream.
“Come one the faster we make these the faster we can eat them!” He sprang out of your grasp and laughter filled the kitchen as you finished up.
Your favorite part about these kinds of nights with Carter was that it felt like you were in your own universe. The two of you were protected from the outside world and all that matter was each other.
Once you had cleaned up it was on to the third phase of the night which you knew was going to be your favorite. Grabbing the basket off the counter you skipped to the bathroom with your boyfriends hand pressed firmly into yours. You hopped up on the counter and handed him the purple bottle as you took the black one in your hand. Extending your leg, you half wrapped it around his and pulled him closer to you. Squirting some of the liquid into your hands you started slowly rubbing it into his skin.
“Ahh babe that's cold!” He chuckled as he tried to pull away.
“Just sit still! You’ll get used to it I promise.” He relaxed into your touch and stopped fighting you. Soon after you were done he followed suit, putting the light purple clay all over your face with only light guidance. You stayed like that while the masks dried. Your legs lazily tangled in his with his hands on your waist whispering sweet nothings with massive grins covering your faces. Hopping off the counter you pulled out your phone to snap a cute picture of the two of you and it was time to take off the masks.
“So all you have to do is start at the edge of your face and pull gently.” You demstraded, wincing slightly as it pulled on your skin.
“What do you mean pull? I thought you just washed these off with water?”
“Some kinds yes but you bought peel off ones.”
“I did?”
You reached down and placed the bottle into his hand. Examining it closely seeing you were right a look of horror crossed his face. You didn’t pay much mind to your boyfriend as you were pulling off your own mask. He had gotten most of it off his face with minimal mumbling of curse words but then he ran into a problem.
“Y/n…” his vice trailed off as he looked at you and you burst out laughing. Carter stood in front of you with his face mask clingy to his stubble making it look like he had bread and you couldn’t get enough of it.
“Y/n this isn’t funny help me!” He whined, causing you to laugh even harder.
“Okay, okay! Sit still muffin. This is gonna hurt a little bit.” a wicked grin covered your face as you worked.
You tried your best not to hurt him too bad and he honestly took it like a champ. When it was all over you peeled off your mask. You could hear the water begin to run in the other direction and you could also hear the sound of Carter’s clothes hitting the floor making your cheeks stain red. It wasn’t long before your clothes joined his pile on the floor and you were wrapped in the warm embrace of both your boyfriend and the water. You closed your eyes and relaxed into his touch and felt his chest rise and sink against your back. He placed a small kiss on your temple and pulled you in closer.
“I love you.”
“Love you more C.”

Soul Mate
Pairing: Sonny Carisi x Songwriter!reader
Fandom: Law and Order SVU
Warning: Angst. Fluff. A string of crazy coincidences. Smut (do not read if you’re under 18!)
A/N: This is part two of «Post-It» and covers @sweetcannolicarisi ’s Candy Heart Bingo with the square: Soul Mate. Enjoy 🥰
Part 1 here
Tumblr media
«Next up is Post-It by (Y/N) (Y/L/N)», the radio host said. Sonny nearly spat out his coffee as he heard the familiar voice, a voice he hadn’t heard in years. «Carisi? You okay?» Kat asked him, patting his back. «Did you catch her name?» He asked, everyone giving him a puzzled look. «Who?» Kat asked. «Her. The woman on the radio! What was her name?!» He asked. «I’m sorry I wasn’t paying attention», she shrugged, and Sonny groaned, lost again.
He slumped his head as he sat down. Until he heard the melody floating through the room. Rollins walked in, humming it. «Amanda! Do you know who sings that song?!» He asked, looking at his old partner. «Uh, yeah, it’s (Y/N) (Y/L/N). She’s really talented. Usually writes for other artists, but this is the first time she’s released a song with her own vocals» Amanda noted, and Sonny could have kissed her if he wasn’t so adamant on finding his mystery girl.
«Carisi what’s going on?!» Fin asked, confused. «Is it the post-it girl?» Amanda asked, remembering Sonny telling her about the mystery girl in his apartment building. He could only nod as he stole Kat’s spot to use her computer.
«Found her!» Sonny cheered, jumping out of the chair, sending the details to his phone. «Sorry guys I got to go», he stated, rushing out. He had to find her, and he was just hoping she would still be home.
When he finally got to her building, a bouquet of the same type of flowers he had given her the first time in hand and a yellow post-it note stuck to the plastic, he started doubting himself again. This was the first time they would meet. What if she was disappointed? What if he was not what she had expected.
But none the less he heard the doorbell ring, and he took a deep breath. He waited for a bit, wondering if he should leave or ring it again. And then you stood there in front of him, and his heart skipped several beats. «Yes?» Your voice was low at first, but your speaking voice was just as soft and melodic as the singing one, and he fell hard. God you were beautiful.
«I’m Sonny. W—we used to live on the same floor a few years ago», he murmured, offering the bouquet to her. «Sonny?» You asked, a smile creeping onto your pink tinted lips. Oh how he wanted to kiss them. «Hey (Y/N)» he replied. You let out a shaky breath as you started giggling.
«What’s so funny?» He asked, confused. «You’re ridiculously cute! I was afraid you were some ugly dude», you said between fits of nervous giggles. «Oh. Well I think you’re pretty cute yourself, doll», he replied, making your heart skip a beat at the nickname.
Looking up at him, you bit your lips, a pink blush grazing over your cheek. «Thank you, Sonny», you murmured. It was his turn to let out a nervous chuckle. The silence between you two was welcoming as you took hold of his tie and pulled him towards you, your lips landing on his. He let out a surprised gasp before his hands found their way around your waist, pulling you in to deepening the kiss.
«Is it weird to say I’ve wanted to do that for a while?» You asked, foreheads rested against each other as you stood back down on your feet. «Not at all», he murmured, before letting out a groan. «Work calls. I’m sorry, doll», he said, shoving his phone back down in his pocket. «Go. I’ll see you later», you replied, kissing him again.
Hours later he was back, and you simply couldn’t help but smile wide, taking the pizza box and wine, putting it on the table in the hallway before pulling him in for a kiss. «Hi, doll», he murmured, letting you drag him into your house. «Hi.» Giggling, you let Sonny lift you up by the backs of your thighs, carrying you to the living room before plopping himself and you down on the couch.
«You’ve got really soft lips, doll. I can’t seem to stop kissing them», Sonny noted, rubbing his nose to yours. «I’m not gonna stop you», you murmured, bucking your hips down on his, eliciting a loud moan from Sonny.
Giggling, you dipped your head to capture his lips in another kiss, smiling at how warm his hands were on your hips. Grabbing hold of his tie again, you loosened it before tossing it to the floor and getting to work on the buttons on his shirt. «Why don’t we take this upstairs to the bedroom?» You asked in a low voice, prying his shirt open. «D—doll», he moaned as you bucked your hips down on his again. «S—stop», he groaned, stilling your hips. «What’s wrong?» You asked, worry crossing your face as you looked at him all over. That’s when your eyes landed on the golden crucifix around his neck. «Oh», you murmured, «Sorry.»
He shook his head, cupping your cheeks to make you look at him. «It’s not that I don’t want you. I just, I want to take it slow. Really get to know you», he said in a low voice. «I can do slow», you murmured, caressing his cheeks.
A couple of months went by, and you fell more in love with each other as the time went on. It was something about him you couldn’t pinpoint, but you’d never felt so close with anyone you’d been with before, and you started wondering if this was what finding your soulmate was like.
You never pushed him for sex, wanting him to find out when he was ready. But that wasn’t to say you didn’t make out like horny teenagers. Often times you were both on your couch or his, his shirt off and hands on your boobs, over your shirt.
One day, on your way back to yours after lunch, driving through Brooklyn you drove past a familiar looking diner, «We should go there one day, they’ve got really good food», he murmured, pointing to the neon sign over the door. «I know. I used to work there, before I quit», you replied, giggling as his head snapped to look at you. «What?! When?» He was so cute when he looked so surprised. «Back when we were neighbors. I quit and got a job at the coffee shop I’m in now when I moved. It was easier.» You noted, studying the hand he had in your lap. «No way! I went there a couple of times when I worked with Brooklyn SVU», he replied. «So you’re from Brooklyn?» You asked.
It hadn’t really come up in the time you had together in between your busy schedules, where the other was from. But you knew he was from New York, from how thick his accent would get at times. You were the same. «Staten Island actually.» That made you stare at him. «No! Seriously?!» He nodded at that before parking the car when you finally got to your house.
You didn’t stop staring at him until you got to your front door, having to focus on unlocking the door. «Did I say something wrong?» He asked, worry creeping onto his face. «What? No, of course not. It just took me by surprise», you responded, going to grab two bottles of water before following him to the couch. «Staten Island isn’t that bad.» That made you laugh, almost choking on the water you had started gulping down. «Oh I know, I’m from there too», you said when you finally stopped coughing.
«Where!» He asked, turning to look at you. «Up in Tompkinsville. What about you?» You asked. «Tottenville», he noted. «This is honestly crazy. We lived in the same apartment complex, on the same floor. We’re both from Staten Island. What else is similar? You’re not Italian too are you?» You laughed at that and shook your head. «Irish. But don’t worry. I’m Catholic», you mused, making him laugh too. «Good to know», he said with a chuckle.
There was a few moments of silences before Sonny said «Please tell me you didn’t go to Curtis high.» That made you laugh. “Would you like me to lie to you?» You mused, biting your lip.
«The amounts of times we played against them was ridiculous», he groaned. «Soccer or basketball?» You asked, taking a new sip of water. «Basketball.» You gasped. «Which number were you?!» He gave you a confused look. «I was number 17, why?» He asked.
You gasped again. The coincidences were piling up. You used to live on the same floor. And you were both from Staten Island. Not to mention you’d been to each other’s schools for games. Him as a basketball player and you as a cheerleader.
«Seriously? I remember I had a massive crush on you.» He looked at you then. «This is is getting freaky.» You nodded at that.
You didn’t often pull faith into your day to day life, but surely with all of this, it was clear that you and Sonny were meant to be together. «It’s like God wanted us to be together», you murmured, moving closer. «Yeah.» He breathed out, closing the gap, his lips on yours in seconds.
The kiss started like every other kiss you had shared, and yet it felt different. Sonny places one hand on your hip while the other cupped your cheek, the kiss more passionate. As you moaned, Sonny took the opportunity to deepen the kiss more, his tongue dancing with yours.
Straddling his lap, your arms found their spot around his neck whilst both his hands rested on you hips. You let him take the lead, not wanting to push him.
«I can’t take the waiting anymore, doll», he groaned, lips sucking marks on your exposed neck. «Are you sure Sonny?» you asked, looking at him. «I’m sure. I want you, if you’ll have me», he murmured. «I’ve waited for you for this long. You think I don’t want you?» You asked, looking at him. He didn’t say anything, just pulled you closer and kissing you again.
You let out a moan when you felt the bulge in his pants. «Take me to bed Sonny», you murmured, kissing him once more. Nodding his head, he carefully stood up, holding you up by your thighs.
On top of the stairs, Sonny looked around. «End of the hall», you mused. «Why is it always the furthest away?» That made you laugh as you pressed kisses to his neck. He let out a small moan as you found his weak spot. «Doll», Sonny warned, squeezing the back of your thighs.
When he finally made it to your bedroom he carefully placed you on the bed. «Strip.» He commanded, shedding his shirt and undershirt. You were mesmerized by his physic, having never seen his bare chest before. «Did you hear me doll? Strip», he said again, snapping you out of your trance.
Quickly you grabbed the hem of your dress, pulling it up and off you, dropping it to the floor. Sonny let out an audible groan as he took you in, standing there in a steel blue lingerie set. «fuck», he groaned, staring at you. «What?» You asked. Sonny almost ripped his pants off, trying to get them down. «What?!» You were laughing now as he rushed over to you, making you fall to your back on the soft mattress. «You look stunning in that color», he murmured, his lips on your neck, sucking marks into your delicate skin, «It’s also my favorite color, and now I’m never gonna get the image of you in it out of my head», he groaned, rolling his hips into yours.
«I’ll remember that next time I go shopping», you murmured, a giggle slipping your lips as he kissed your neck again. «No teasing, doll», he retorted, grabbing a condom from the nightstand drawer. «Someone knows where they are», you noted, smirking at him. «I might have assumed», he said, blushing.
Moving up on the bed, you laid your head on the pillows, looking over at him. «Are you gonna stand there all day?» You mused, biting your lip. «I’m just admiring the view», he replied, dropping his boxers. You let out a gasp as you took in how big he was, and it made you positively drenched. As he rolled the condom on, you took the time to get rid of your own underwear, dropping them on the floor by the bed. «Fuck! You look incredible doll!» Sonny said, a loud groan leaving his lips as he joined you on the bed.
«So do you. Can’t wait to feel you in me», you murmured, leaning up to kiss him. That was all the confirmation Sonny needed as he lined up his cock with your core, slowly pushing in. «Oh, yes, feels so good babe», you moaned out, hands going into his hair. «F—fuuuuuck you’re so tight around me», he groaned, setting a steady pace. «I’m not gonna last if you keep squeezing me like that doll», Sonny added, trying his best not to pick up the pace too much. He wanted the first time to be slow and passionate, he felt that it would be the best way to start getting to know your body.
He was resting upright on his arms as he kept the pace, his gold crucifix dangling over you. «Mmmm, just like that», you moaned, linking one finger in the necklace before pulling him down to kiss him. «I’m so close babe.» You squeezed him tighter as you felt your orgasm creep up on you. «Let go for me doll, I’m there too», he murmured, chasing his own release.
It didn’t take long before you let go, your high hitting you like electricity, moans and curse words slipping from your lips as he helped you ride out your high, hitting his own release in the process.
Sonny stilled inside you for a moment before pulling out, tossing the condom in the trash can next to your bed. «That was incredible doll», he murmured, dropping onto his back next to you, chest heaving, his skin glowing in post sex bliss and the golden crucifix shining in the dim lights of the room. «It—it really was», you purred, rolling over on your side to look at him. «How are you feeling?» He asked, giving you a worried look. «I’ve never felt so good in my life», you murmured, pressing a soft kiss to his chest. «How are you feeling though?» You asked, slumping your arm over his abdomen. «Never better.»

Letter
a.n.: SURPRISE another new character that does not fit with my profile photo. This is for my very dear friend who enjoys a certain Sarah Paulson. To anyone new reading this, welcome! To those coming back, nice to meet again.
Reader and Mildred Ratched live a secret life in Lucia, California. All is well, truly, until reader walks in on something she did not expect. Angst central. 3.8k
“Go home, baby. Don’t worry about us. It’s fine.” Your partner of three years, almost four, was severely under the weather and looking even paler in the cyan outfit your shared job required as uniform.
You and Mildred were tucked away in a hallway where you could talk in confinement away from all the other patients and staff. You took a hand to her forehead and noticed how warm it was. You slipped the hand to her cheek and held it there, hers going up and holding it softly, sinking her head a bit into your palm.
“Call me a cab. You can take the Ford home.” Mildred heard some footsteps coming from down the hall and she quickly let go of your hand after kissing you ever so lightly as to not smear her red color on your black lipstick. You said goodbye and let go of your partner, walking away first with your white heels clicking on the linoleum floor with every step you took away. You hated these heels with a passion but it was part of the uniform. The black heels you adored were stashed away in the teal Ford you and Mildred shared.
You smoothed out your dress while you were still walking and did not turn around when you heard Mildred walking after you a few steps behind. You were deeply in love but you still kept the relationship a secret from your coworkers.
Once you got up to reception you located the phone and dialed the cab number. While it was ringing, you went up to your neck and touched the necklace Mildred gave you for your birthday a few months ago. You fidgeted around with the little heart that hung around your neck with a photo of you two inside of it.
The attendant picked up after six rings.
“Hi there, a cab at Lucia State Hospital, please.” You looked up and saw Mildred walk behind the desk by you and you smiled.
“Alright, I have a driver headed there now.” She ended abruptly.
You turned with the heels on your shoes to face Mildred.
“They said it would come shortly.” You tried reaching for her hand but she pulled back quickly. You had forgotten that no one knew.
“Thank you, y/n.” Her quiet voice barely made it over to you and she could tell you were disappointed in the lack of physical touch. Seeing this, she decided to push your necklace back into your collar. Mildred looked to the side almost to pretend to be looking for the cab you had ordered her but you knew she was just checking for people around.
You were tired of hiding, truly. But there was nothing you could really do. Besides it all, however, you were lucky just to have her. You turned to look at her point of direction and you saw the cab roll-up.
“I’ll see you later, M.” You turned back around and gave her purse over to take home. She opened up her purse and gave you the key for the Ford.
“Do you have money on you?” She nodded and you sent her off, looking over the desk as she walked away with confidence in her step even though she was hiding her own life away from the people she ate lunch next to.
The doors opened and you decided to get back to work. Only six more hours.
Eight o’clock rolled around and you were ready to head home after saying goodbye to all your coworkers. You hadn’t heard from Mildred through a phone call so you decided to surprise her with flowers, just because.
You took the keys out of your purse and you walked to the car. As you reached it, you popped the trunk open and took out your beloved shiny black heels. You sat down in the trunk and slipped the white ones off, throwing them worthlessly and carelessly behind you. You snorted to yourself and decided to leave them there until tomorrow’s shift. You pushed your feet in one by one after closing either clasp on them and you closed the trunk when you were done.
Luckily, you knew how to drive well in heels too.
The engine powered up and you headed for the store that was closest to you and Mildred’s home. You were frequent there since you took the liberty to do most of the shopping for the house.
You loved this store because of its broad selection of arrangements, ranging from daisies to carnations, hydrangeas available any time of year, and iris’ that brightened up your home.
The Ford was parked close and you walked in headed straight to the florals. You were mesmerized by the selection as you ran your hands through some of the flowers, holding your purse close to you and your lips pursed slightly as you made your selection.
“Are we shopping for anyone in specific today, Miss?” You turned and saw the attendant come closer to you.
You heard Mildred’s voice in your head saying that ‘it’s a small town, don’t,’ and you decided to throw a white lie.
“My best friend. She isn’t feeling well.” You watched as the attendant unsubtly scanned your face. Her eyes flickered from your bold lipstick up to your piercing eyes, switching back and forth until you couldn’t handle it anymore. You cleared your throat and she finally responded.
“How about some tulips? White, maybe? Or you might like something… bolder.” You cocked your head to the side at that comment and you took a step closer to the attendant.
“Maybe you could get me twelve stems of those red roses back there.” You turned a bit and pointed at a bouquet of roses behind the lady. She strained her neck to look and as she did her brows were furrowed.
She began to walk towards them and she spoke once again. “Best friend, you say? Aren’t these a bit too much?” She took them out of their temporary holding space and you withheld yourself from snapping.
Her back was still turned towards you as she wrapped them up for you. As she was, you took a twenty out of your wallet.
As she turned around you noticed her still staring at you in a very unsophisticated manner considering she was a sixty-year-old woman working at a market for four dollars an hour.
She handed you the roses and you pushed the twenty on the table beside you. “Keep the change, ma’am.”
You turned slowly enough the see the look on her face and you smiled to yourself as you walked to your car with the roses in hand.  Mildred loved red.
You placed them on the passenger’s seat and began the short commute home. You fiddled with the radio in the dark and you came home within minutes. As you were pulling into the driveway, you noticed a car you didn’t recognize. Maybe one of the neighbors was having guests over and they had decided to park on your side of the lawn. Strange, you thought.
You switched over from drive to park and you turned the key to the left. Your home was dimly lit, even at 8:30 when you two would normally have dinner or read together. Instead of lit up windows that faced the street you were greeted with two out of the three being dark.
You took the flowers and purse from the seat and you locked the car before opening the door of your home. You yelled out for Mildred who could have been anywhere in the house. A different black pair of kitten heels greeted you at the front door instead. Those were not yours and they definitely did not belong to Mildred.
“Mildred, baby? I’m home!” You yelled once more while kicking lightly at the shoes. Placing your purse down on the kitchen table, you followed the light down the hallway that was peeking out from the crack inbetween door and carpet.
“M?” This call was quieter. It was surreal and realizing as to what was happening around you. It was barely above a whisper. The roses were still clutched in your hands as you reached for the gold door handle.
There was music playing from a stereo you had bought for the house. It was the first purchase you had made under this roof, and your lover was using it for someone else.
Infront of you laid Mildred and an unknown person in your bed. They were too busy to notice you walk in on their space. It seemed like that was how they prayed, in a shared bed that was no longer.
“Mildred, you deceiving wrench, you-” They turned around and almost like a movie deferred away from each other like two negatives. Her red lipstick was smeared all over the stranger’s face which even trailed down to her body. The sheets barely reached over her and a migraine began to form when you saw red trail down her neck to torso. Your hand flew to your mouth and your hand unconsciously gripped the flowers with a grip that was only familiar when you had to grab a patient.
“Y/n, hold on,” Mildred tried to explain but you moved faster and threw the flowers against the wall. Tears were becoming and you looked at the two that were still somehow entangled.
The flowers flew apart from their wrapping and landed in different positions on the floor. You were screaming at this point.
Your own lover. Your partner. Your lady. Your wife, even. This was your best friend, the person who hung up your jackets and the person who read outloud to you when your voice was gone. That same person didn’t even bother to change the sheets.
“You,” reached down and took the locket in your hands before tearing it off and walking over to them. “You, skank,” you shoved the necklace in the stranger’s face from inches away, “get the fuck out.”
She didn’t budge.
“Now!” You screamed and you heard Mildred yell back. The stranger got up, naked and covered in red. You turned your eyes away.
“Don’t talk to Gwen that way, y/n-” she wasn’t able to finish her sentence because you slapped her. Hard and across the face. So hard that she turned to the right to stare at Gwen.
“I didn’t know Gwen was so close to you, Mildred.” You turned to Miss Gwen and you were almost unable to hold yourself back from attacking her.
“Gwen, get the fuck out before I figure out who’s ring that is.” The ring you were mentioning was on her left hand and was obviously not from Mildred. As much as you hated and despised her soul at the moment, she would never buy a ring like that one.
Gwen was practically sprinting at this point with clothes in hand. Funny enough, she was clinging onto the locket Mildred had given you.
“Y/n, hold on, please-” you interrupted her.
“Can’t you say anything else, M?” You closed your eyes the minute you called her by her nickname. Mildred was up from the bed and was frantic to cover her self up with the white sheets you two had slept and loved in.
You stared at her. You waited for an answer. But nothing came out. Just prolonged staring and smeared lipstick coated your eyes.
You walked up to her once more. You waited and waited, but nothing. She tried reaching for your hand but you repeated your earlier move and hit her once more.
“Don’t you dare, Mildred. Don’t you dare and try to justify anything you have done.” Your finger was pointed towards her.
You walked out of the room and slammed he door. You heard it open but you ignored it as you were halfway down the wall.
“Y/n, baby-”
“Do not.” You spoke clearly and commanding. You reached the closet that held some coats and you grabbed a few. You moved down and felt her presence float around you.
You grabbed your purse and some shoes. You were not staying here tonight.
She grabbed your arm and you turned to look at the cheater who had accompanied your walk.
You two just stared at each other and her grip tightened. You shook your arm to let it loose but she would not budge.
You let your eyebrows relax and you mouth untighten. Her eyes stared deep into yours but you could just tell that there was nothing left between you two. Nothing could repair this. You shook it once more and didn’t break eye contact until she let go.
You slammed the closet door before walking out and you opened the door. Mildred followed.
She was saying something but it’s hard to register when the rage blows through your nose and ears.
You walked over to the car which you two shared and you threw your belongings in the back seat and the hopping in the front. You locked the doors before Mildred could get to you. You watched her through the window as she pleaded for you. You turned the key to the right and put the car in reverse. She ran to the back and held on to the trunk of the car. You could see her in the rear view mirror and she was not giving up without a fight.
Unknowing of what to do, you decided to scare her instead. Still in reverse, you pressed the break and the gas at the same time to rev the engine a bit and create a sound that would startle her. It worked, and she jumped to the side after you did that maneuver. Now that she was gone, you were able to safely back up.
Your tires squealed as you exited the driveway and you watched her sit in silence. The sheets had turned to brown shreds and all you could do is stare in amusement.
There was nothing left as you continued down the road with your headlights shining bright and your rearview mirror regretfull.
You had been driving all night from Lucia only to end up in a motel somewhere in Nevada.
You had gotten a decent nights, or days, rest and contemplated where you could end up staying for the rest of, well, life at this point. Luckily you had some cousins in Colorado. You were just hopeful that your now borrowed Ford would get you there with no problems.
The room was alright as far as the hotel clerk would know and you were able to pay and leave.
The blue Ford was waiting for you patiently and it was ready to keep moving. You hopped in and searched for some sunglasses in the glove compartment. You were sort of just digging blindly.
Instead, you found a letter. You took it out and saw your name written on it in the one and only Mildred’s cursive handwriting. Your neatly applied black lips tightened a bit and you closed the glove compartment after successfully finding a pair of cat eye shades.
You spun around the folded letter a bit and you contemplated what to do. It definitley was not placed after yesterdays events, but not before. How long was this sitting here?
You decided to open it besides it all.
Ripping it open, the letter inside read as following:
Y/n,
Four years with you have been passionate, lustful, insightful, glorious, and most of all, beautiful. Maybe it was the eyes, or perhaps the words, but you’ve found a way to tie me down and I wouldn’t leave even if I was forced to. You could shun me, and I would still love you. You could spit, kick, loathe, hit, and run me over, and I would still come back.
I had always thought that settling down with someone would mean protruding coprimises and mandatory family dinners, but you changed that, y/n. You’ve changed my perception of love and desire. The moment you walked into Lucia, I knew I had to have you.
I understand how difficult it can be to hide what we have but I want to change that. I don’t want to resist holding your hand when we walk past our neighbors and I don’t want to lie and say I’m living with my friend from High School. I promise you this isn’t forever, just temporary. Believe me, I will do everything to change that.
I want to give you this not because I have to, but because I want to. I can’t stand deceiving you so please believe me when I say that these words come from the heart and soul. Understand that, please.
I never knew I could care for someone this much.
You’re my once in a lifetime; you’re the one, y/n.
Always with love, yours truly,
Mildred Ratched.
The inconsistent words made you laugh to yourself.
You took the paper and crumpled it in your hands. Your windows were already rolled down and you threw it out the passengers side. It rolled around a bit but eventually settled.
Placing the car in reverse, you backed out of your spot. You took your sunglasses and pushed them up a bit before placing the car in drive and running over the letter.

Quarantine and Chill
Tumblr media
Tom Hiddleston x reader
Warning: Just more fluff
Summary: This is part 2 to Quarantin online when the reader finally meets Tom after months of talking online.
Tom: Biscuiteers, 194 Kensington Park Road, London, W11. Let's say 9 am, this Thursday? Will that work for you?
When you woke, you'd thought it was all a dream that you didn't just Skype with Tom Hiddleston. That was until you looked at your phone. Finding that Tom had texted you after the both of you said goodnight. Even sent you a photo of himself this time of his far to a handsome face.
Y/n: Sorry again for crashing on you last night. I've never been there, so sounds great. See you then.
———-
You stood outside the shop of Biscuiteers hoping you had the right place the quaint little cafe was a bit busier than usual as people line out the door distancing themselves from others. You looked at your watch once again. You got to the cafe thirty minutes early. You were not able to stay home. Time seems to go far to slow for your liking.
"Y/n?" A deep velvet-smooth voice purred from behind you, making you squeak out in surprise, turning on your heels to come face to chest with Tom Hiddleston. Not realizing how much taller he was then you.
"Yeah." You said shyly, your eyes fluttered upward to look into those baby blues of his. ”Hi."
"It's nice to meet you, Darling, finally." Tom took your hand being ever, so the gentleman placed a light kiss onto your knuckles. Lingering a minute longer. Tom's eyes never once left yours he smiled as he watched you turn a light shade of pink.
"It's nice to meet you as well, finally." You managed to breathe out.
"These are for you." Tom offered you a lovely bouquet. You could feel your cheek heat up when you took the arrangement. It was a perfect size, and Tom had remembered your favorite flowers.
"Oh, Tom. You didn't have to." You hummed.
"Anything for a beautiful woman." Tom winked. "Shall we grab our coffee and maybe wander around London?" You smiled up at him with a nod.
Tom grabbed coffee for the both of you, even after you laughed at Tom for how silly he looked in his mask when he came out of the shop. He showed you around London. Taking the whole day to play tour guide, Ken.
After a late lunch, Tom took you down to Tavistock street for candy floss and ice cream, a little place called Milk Train. Though you may have told him he was crazy that ice cream and Cotton candy don't go together. Which ensued a small discussion on the right term to call the sugary cloud.
Tom ended up getting cookies and cream on roasted green tea ice cream with colorful sprinkles. You got the unicorn on Matcha ice cream both as a Choo-choo, which was when they added the cloud of candy floss or as you corrected Tom as it's real name Cotton candy.
Tom being the proper gentleman that he was even took you home—not wanting you to walk back alone—even walking you to your door.
"Thank you, Tom. I had a wonderful time." You said shyly. Not wanting the night to end. Tom had been great, and you hoped that he wanted the same.
"I did to Darling." Tom smiled down at you. Both of you stood there for a moment longer, unsure of what to say or do next. "Eheh." Tom was rubbing the back of his neck. "Would you like to come over for dinner sometime? ..... To my home, that is. ... Only dinner and maybe a film."
You giggled softly at how reassuring that it was nothing more than that. He was definitely nervous. It was nice to see this man be so normal in away. You would have always thought he would be confident in every aspect of his life.
"I would like that, Tom." You nodded with a smile.
"Really?" Tom's voice cracked a bit overjoyed. Making you giggle. "I mean, you don't think I'm overstepping ." Clearing his throat. "I don't want to pressure you on the second date by having you come over to some stranger home. Who may or may not have his way with you. Not that I'm going to I'll be the perfect gentleman. I mean if you wan-."
You cut Tom off, pressing a soft kiss to his cheek.  "You're overthinking."
"Eheh." Tom nervously chuckled his hand, running along with the spot that your lips were.
——-
Tom wanted everything to be perfect. He wanted you to have the perfect night with him. He may have even gone a little overboard to make it so. Purchasing outdoor movie projector and screen. Stringed lights littered his backyard. He searched ideas for the best setting for the movies and dinner. Finally, settling on to large style inflatable mattresses. Every pillow and blanket he owned laid thoughtfully.
The menu he had made simple something he knew you would like, and he was known for his spaghetti bolognese. You may have mentioned that you wouldn't mind seeing if he did it the right way. It didn't help with his nervousness that you cooked professionally. While he waited on the sauce.
He almost jumped out of his skin when the doorbell rang. Looking at his watch, you were early. Well, at least he hoped it was you and not his sisters spying on him. He had let it slip to his mom about you. Therefore his sisters knew and had given him a hard time. However, they did help with ideas on his little backyard project.
Tom grinned when he spied you throw the peephole of his door. Tom noted that you wore comfortable clothes. He wanted you to be comfortable. You didn't have to get all dressed up for him.
"Hello, darling." Tom greeted you when he opened the door.
"Hi, Tom. I brought wine. I wasn't sure what to bring." You rambled Tom pulled you into a hug to make you stop. Relaxing you as you hugged him back.
"You didn't need to bring anything, Darling, just yourself." Tom smiled as he took your bag and wine for you as he escorted you outside. "Dinner is just about ready. Why don’t you make yourself comfortable, and I'll be right back."
——
Tonight's movies: The Jungle Book (Disney version.) starts after dinner, followed by Jurassic Park.  The sign said on a table as you both moved over to the area Tom had set up the movie.
Tom set up the projector while you got yourself comfortable on one of the mattresses. Few minutes of trying to figure out the machine a few cuss words under his breath. In hopes you didn't hear him.
Tom finally got the projector working and settled on the other mattress, not wanting to make you feel uncomfortable if he were to get in with you. You looked over at Tom when you movie came up on the screen.
"Tom, did you mean to have the movie play upside down?" You smile, trying not to laugh.
"Eheh, No." Tom groaned as he stood back up. To fix the problem. "Before I forgot there is popcorn, sweets, and drinks on the table if you would like at any point."
"I'm so full from that amazing dinner maybe later. Thank you." You hummed.
Tom finally settled, and the movie started. You giggled when Tom began to sing out loud. 'Look for those bear necessities.'
"You, sir, are a dork." You throw a small pillow at the man.
"Hey, now I saw your feet swaying to the music. You know you were just about to bellow it out." Tom tossed the pillow back at you.
"You saw nothing, mister. I was rudely interrupted from the movie by off-key singing." You teased sticking your tongue out. Placing the pillow back under your head. "Now, shh it."
Tom settled down, and you both went back to the movie. Soon the second movie started. Twenty minutes into the film, you decided on some popcorn.
"Do you want any popcorn?" You asked, looking over at Tom, who was watching you as you got up.
"Popcorn does sound good. But I can get it, love." Tom hummed, pulling himself up.
"I got it, Tom. I mean, I'm already up." You smiled, walking over to the cute little setup Tom had put a lot of thought into.
"Where's mine?" Tom poured as you came back with some candy and one bag of popcorn.
Carefully you kneeled on to the mattress with Tom. Making sure not to spill any of the contents from your arms, laying everything down on the blanket. Tom corked an eyebrow at you. Humming to the music. While you moved under the blanket.
"I figured we could share." You shrugged a shy smile played along your lips. Brushing a loose strand of hair back behind your ear.
"Of course, darling sounds like a lovely idea." Tom moved over just a bit, giving you more room.
You scooted closer to the man popcorn in hand as you rested yourself against him. Your head was resting lightly on his chest. Tom didn't hesitate to put his arm around you. You both went back to the movie.
"Thank you, Tom, this has been the best and one of the most thoughtful dates I have ever been on." You spoke up kissing Tom cheek, almost startling him.
"You are more than welcome." Tom smiled.
Tom leaned forward, capturing your soft lips with his own, testing the waters almost to see if you would pull away. He paused for a moment only for Your lips pressing back along with his. Your hand that was already resting on his chest, gripped into the smooth fabric of his sweater.
He kissed you softly, yet there was so much passion behind each movement. His arms wrapped around your waist. Your other hand found it's way to tangled into his soft locks. Forgotten popcorn spilled over the blanket.
Only breaking apart when a roar that made you two jump apart. Both of you looked to the screen, chest heaving and out of breath as you saw the T-Rex come back on-screen attempt to kill a car. And two kids screaming for their life.
"Eheh." Tom laughed as he turned back to look at you. Gently Tom moved so that he wasn't crushing you too much. Some point he had slowly started leaning into you. You bit your lip when you looked up at Tom; his hair was a bit of a mess. You could feel your cheeks heat up.
"You know for being dead, dinosaurs do have the worst timing." You said breathlessly.
"That they do." Tom smile kissing your lips once more.
"Popcorn?" You offered Tom as you took a piece from the pile that was currently on top of Tom's lap.
Soon the movie came to an end, and Tom was the one that didn't want the night to end. However, he hadn't realized yet that you had fallen asleep. Not until he went to get up to turn the projector off that he noticed. You looked so cute draped over him, with your face practically buried into his chest.
"Darling, the movies over." Tom gently stroked your cheek even though he didn't want you to wake you.
"Mmhmm." You nodded sleepily but didn't show any other signs of moving.
"Y/n?" Tom kissed your forehead this time.
"Five more minutes." You yawned your arm wrapped around Tom's waist tighter.
"All right." Tom smiles as he covered both of you up. Though he didn't intend on falling asleep himself, he did.

Tendou must have some ridiculous masochistic side to be so ridiculously head over heels for you.
Which he totally does but we ain’t here for kinks.
Being Tendou’s best friend was really easy for you, even if no one else really wanted to be, he was funny and kind and you really didn’t mind his quirks and oddities.
For the last three years, he was practically glued to your hip. He’d walk you to class, platonically holding your hand before telling you that he would see you at lunch or be back to walk you home from school.
Literally everyone in the third year, and probably second as well, knew that Tendou loved you. Like hardcore in love with you.
He knew the basics like what your favorite color was, your favorite foods, movies you loved. He also knew your fears, and declared to try to protect you from them, even if they weren’t fears in which he could do that.
Tendou even knew more intimate details, like how you preferred to hold hands with your right one or that you always needed a blanket over your feet when the two of you cuddled up and watched a movie together.
Homework and study dates were surprisingly your guys’ thing. Whenever you felt the need to get out of the house, a trip to a local coffee shop was a must—Tendou knows your order by heart. No matter how complicated it may be.
Dinner dates were also a big favorite for the both of you. Being in high school, it was hard to afford the finer things in life, but when you could splurge on a nice meal, you and Tendou were all for it. Complete with purposely ordering different meals so you could share with the other.
Literally, all of Shiratorizawa was confused as to how you two weren’t already dating???
“It’s platonic, and it’s rather cute.” Was always Tendou’s response.
“No, you idiot, it’s one sided.” Probably Semi Semi said this, but everyone has said some variation of it.
When it came to asking you about this relationship, you were so goddamn oblivious you swore that even Ushiwaka wanted to ram his head into a wall for Tendou’s sake.
“What do you mean we’re dating?? He doesn’t like me like that?? He’s always held my hand and walked me to class since the first time we ever talked??”
💀💀💀 RIP TENDOU.
Poor boy laid it on so thick that you literally couldn’t even tell.
Y’all were a lost cause.
N e ways, the two of you are walking home from one of your dinner dates on a Saturday night, holding hands and shit.
Tendou, in a very Tendou Satori fashion, stops everything he’s doing, letting go of you when he knows that you aren’t walking forward without him.
“We graduate next week.” His voice is kinda off, no bubbly chirp or teasing drawl.
“I know, Satori, we’re in the same year ya dork.”
“And we’re going to be going away to Uni.” Okay, Tendou playing captain obvious? Weird.
“Tendou, we’re going to the same university, we decided this two years ago.” The collective pronoun sends a pang through his heart and, whether it was out of love or pain, he was unsure.
He had never been so unsure of anything in his life. Not loving you, no. He would never regret that.
“What would you do if I kissed you right now?”
ASDFHGKSLWNTI.
Despite all of your intimate moments, Tendou never put his lips anywhere near you, a vow you never knew he made to himself. He couldn’t—not without agreeing to throw himself off the deep end.
“Wait, what?” Instead of asking the question again, Tendou takes a step closer to you, closing the gap by wrapping his arms around your waist. You respond by reaching up on your tiptoes and holding his cheeks in the palm of your hands.
“I’ve always loved you.”

Iwaizumi;
Tumblr media
My baby Iwa!! I’m gonna destroy him :-)
He questions himself every single day, how and why the fuck he fell in love with someone on the “meme team”.
The meme team being you, Makki, and Mattsun.
By second year, the three of you were so tight knit, it was natural that you would always be at their practices and matches.
Everybody thought you were dating one or both of them because of how protective they were of you.
You were an absolute joker. Sarcastic, dirty, walking troller—he has no idea how his crush even started.
Yes he does. It started with jokes during second year, when he overheard you saying that if Makki got a service ace during practice you’d suck his dick.
You were joking, your friends knew you were joking, but Iwaizumi went home that evening, wondering if you had followed through with it and couldn’t help but be jealous.
This went on for nearly everyday for a year, slowly killing him on the inside. The laughter that bubbled past your lips when you were with them, the way you would smile in pride when they scored a point. His favorite was when your friends would pick you up and carry you chest to chest when they won a match, parading you around with your ass juttng out just a little bit as your legs wrapped around their torso.
Why couldn’t he be the one carrying you? The reason you were smiling and laughing? He hated that he wanted to be the reason.
One particular practice, Iwaizumi had enough of it. His game was off entirely—every spike he made was either out of bounds or blocked by his teammates.
One of his spikes accidentally hit you in the face.
ASKLRNGKFOHMYGODHEHITYOUINTHEFACE.
Immediately, he rushed over to your side, his face redder than a cherry as he stuttered out an apology. “I am so sorry, are you—“
But you were laughing. That angelic, chime of a harp that was your laughter slowly transitioned into a bellowing guffaws. Why were you laughing?! Your nose was bleeding! “If you wanted to talk to me so bad, you could have done literally anything but that.”
Makki and Mattsun are in the background howling like hyenas.
Ever the gentleman he was, Iwaizumi walks you towards the athletic trainers office, trying to ignore what you had said to him moments ago. But you weren’t gonna let it go, hell no.
“An unforgettable first date.” You tried again, knowing full well your fellow third year was always staring and gawking at you. He wasn’t exactly subtle.
“This isn’t a time for jokes, your nose could be broken.” But Iwaizumi was loving the attention right now. Although, he couldn’t help but feel that you were treating him the same way you treated your friends, causing his envy to rise again.
“It’s only fair. I broke your heart, you break my nose.”
“What???” 💀💀💀
“Bro, you’re so obvious. Good to know our plan to make you jealous worked.” It. Was. PlaNED?! Iwaizumi was a murky, muddled mess of emotions—angry, jealous, embarrassed were only a few he could name off hand.
“So you knew.”
“You’re not exactly subtle, baby.” The pet name succeeds in flustering Iwaizumi even more, even as the two of you sat in the trainer’s office with an ice pack over your nose.
“So why didn’t you ever say anything?”
“I wanted to tease you.” The salacious grin on your lips doesn’t go past him this time.
“I’ll show you teasing.”

Bokuto;
Tumblr media
Bokuto weakness #38: you.
This particular weakness, Akaashi noticed, sent Bokuto through a wave of emotions, rather than immediately switching into his emo mode. Perhaps he would never understand it, but he was still able to discern which part of the wave Bokuto was in.
If his sole focus on you, Bokuto would be overwhelmingly touchy no matter who he was in contact with. Unfortunately for the setter, that usually meant him but he was used to it by now.
From what Akaashi could gather, it was because all he wanted was to physically touch you in some way, shape, or form and he had no way of doing so, so he settled on touching everybody else.
He would start getting loud—louder than normal, louder than thunder. Perhaps Bokuto thought that his volume would somehow transcend other noises in the vicinity and make you hear him, wherever you were. Didn’t matter if he was in the classroom or at the gym, he wanted to be heard.
When he decided that you didn’t, Bokuto’s emo side would come out. His mind would begin to spiral, thinking of how he would never have a chance with you and he was forever cursed to never have you by his side. Unfortunately, Akaashi could only fix this during matches, as you were present as a member of the cheerleading squad.
“Bokuto, she’s watching you.” Whether you actually were or not didn’t matter, because Bokuto would immediately bring his A game. He could never look to see if you were, because he was afraid that would make his feelings obvious for you.
It was when Akaashi wasn’t there that served to be the problem, as nobody could stop his spiraling.
It came as no surprise to him that he developed a crush on you. You were happy, upbeat, and didn’t have a mean bone in your body. Everyone else thought it was just because you were a cheerleader, but Bokuto wasn’t shallow.
It was your kindness that drew him in like the warmth and glow of a candle, or like having a hot chocolate on a cold, winter evening. Bokuto wanted that warmth in his life. But he also knew it was an unattainable dream since he didn’t even know how to strike up a conversation with you.
It wasn’t until the Fukurodani sports awards ceremony that was held at the end of the year to commemorate and celebrate all of the school teams that he had even been closer than 10 feet to you.
The event was held every year as a send off to the third year captains, with the cheerleaders walking, arms linked at the elbow, with each captain to present them to the school in addition to the celebration of their achievements. In every cheerleaders free arm was a bouquet of flowers that they were to give to their respective partners.
You just so happened to be paired up with Bokuto.
He swears up and down that his heart stopped multiple times that night, or he thought the entire event was a figment of his imagination.
“Being presented by second year cheer squad member, [lastname] [name], is captain of the Fukurodani Volleyball Club, Bokuto Koutarou!” He deadass didn’t know you were only a second year
The smile you gave when everybody began clapping for him made Bokuto melt. Like a proud girlfriend.
“Congratulations, Bokuto.” You handed him the bouquet while the two of you were still on the stage, the principal listing off the volleyball team’s accomplishments.
He couldn’t stop the word vomit from coming you.
“Will you go on a date with me?” He didn’t know how to start a normal conversation, so he just skipped straight to the point. By now, the principal’s announcements had stopped, the venue had gone quiet, and everybody in the room had heard Bokuto’s question.
...
The silence was deafening and all he wanted to do was bury his head in the nearest trash can. Why why WHY DID HE JUST SAY THAT—
“Pick me up at 8 on Saturday?” The volleyball team, his team, began slow clapping until every sports team had joined in with various screams of support coming from voices he wasn’t familiar with.
Unsure of what to do with himself, he started poking your cheek. “Is this real life or am I dreaming?”
You could only laugh before dragging him off the stage so the principal could continue with the ceremony. “It’s very real, Bokuto.” The warmth that he was desperate to feel suddenly filled his chest like hot wax.
“I didn’t think you even knew I existed.” He blurts out.
“What, you think it’s a coincidence that I was your partner for tonight?”

Peachpig with B48/52/62/66?
B48. “You want it, I’ll get it. Don’t try to stop me.” B52. “You bought roses for me?” B62. “I have always loved you.” B66. “Stooooop, you’re making me blush.”
I went with the Bajie is disguised as Pigsy angle for this one ;3.
Pigsy laughed as the king threw a “concealed” pick up line at him. Ever since they had repaired their relationship, things had been quite different. For one, he was no longer annoyed at the king sticking around the shop, he actually found it quite pleasant and the king’s continued efforts to impress him was adorable.
It made him giddy to finally have the king’s attention after all these years. Although there was no discussion of their true feelings, there was an unspoken understanding that there was something there and to Pigsy’s surprise, he realized maybe there always was, he had thought it was completely one-sided.
Wukong said, “You know I got something for you.”
The pig raised a brow and leaned forward, placing the glass he was cleaning aside. “Oh?”
“Yep” was the reply and the king took something out from behind his back which turned out to be a beautiful bouquet of roses.
“You bought roses for me?”
“Yes I did. Do you like them?”
He grabbed it gently and brought it up to his nose, taking in the scent. “Yea. Thank you, Wukong.”
“Of course. Beautiful flowers for a rather beautiful man,” the monkey commented and winked.
Pigsy barked out a laugh, his cheeks the slightest bit of pink. “Do you ever stop flirtin’?”
“Did you ever?”
Another laugh. “Fair point. Nowadays I only flirt when a handsome guy comes along.”
“Oh? So does that mean me?”
“Well you are the handsome monkey king.”
“That is true.”
“Now, I’m goin’ to find a place to put these flowers. Wait right here, handsome,” he stated then pecked the king on the cheek.
The king responded with “You got it, beautiful. Take your time.” As the chef walked to the back, he heard a whistle behind him, he playfully rolled his eyes and searched through boxes for something suitable to put the flowers in. He pulled out a small vase then placed the roses in them and returned to pour some water using the sink.
He put it on the counter. “Alright, that’s taken care of and there hasn’t been any new orders since the lunch rush ended so I can relax I guess.”
“So I can have more moments of your time?”
“Yep.”
“Then sit down with me.”
“Alright,” he replied and sat in the stool next to the king.
“Oh, Bajie, I didn’t mean there.”
The pig lifted a brow again to express his confusion. “Where did you mean?”
Wukong grabbed his hands, he let out a gasp as he was pulled towards the other then was settled on his lap. He flushed a deep red. “This okay?”
“Ye-yea. More than okay.”
“Good. I wouldn’t want to make you uncomfortable.” He rested his hands on Pigsy’s waist. “From this angle, you look even more gorgeous than usual.”
Pigsy clicked his tongue and wrapped his arms around the king’s neck. “Never thought you would say somethin’ like that in a million years.”
“Well I always thought about it, never bothered to say it aloud but it’s definitely true,” he admitted as he scanned the pig’s body up and down, leaning slightly forward with a grin.
The pig put a hand on his chest to push him back. “Stooooop, you’re makin’ me blush.”
“Aww but I love seeing you blush.”
“I can see that. I bet I can make you blush just as much.”
“I would like to see you try.”
“Is that a challenge?”
“Yes, it is.”
“Looks my flirtin’ along the journey will come in handy.”
“Oh yea, the flirting that never worked,” he teased.
Pigsy growled, “Shush, silly monkey.” He tapped a finger against his chin then ran the digits up the other’s arm. “Wukong, babe, have I ever told you exactly how handsome I think ya are? I remember when ya used to fight to free us, it was really hot. In fact if I wasn’t causin’ problems back then, I could admire it more. You have great muscles.” He squeezed the king’s arm, feeling the mass and relishing in the other’s pink cheeks.
“I… uhhhh… I…ummm…”
“See, told you.”
The king blinked then shook his head. “Guess you were right but I can get you back.”
“I don’t doubt that. But what would you do?”
“Do what I always do. Lavish you with praises, love, compliments, gifts, stuff like that. You said you wanted a new ladle, right? You want it, I’ll get it. Don’t try to stop me.”
“Tch. I can buy my own stuff but thank you. You’re sweet.”
“Thanks, babe. I try.”
“In fact, I should reward you.”
“O-oh?”
Pigsy chuckled and scooted more towards Wukong until their lips were almost touching. “Yep,” he whispered, then pressed their mouths together, enjoying the sweetness and the way purrs rang in the air along with the sound of Wukong’s tail thumping.
When they separated, they were both beaming ear to ear. The pig shrugged. “Sorry, couldn’t hold it in any longer.”
Wukong chuckled. “Sounds like you and I don’t mind. About time we stopped dancing around.”
“So what now?”
“Well we get to kiss each other more, cuddle, normal couple stuff.”
“Sounds good to me. So does that mean I can call you my boyfriend?”
Wukong grinned. “Yes. Yes, you can.”
He smooched his cheek happily. “Yes! Okay! Wow. Never thought this would happen.”
“I know right. It took us, what? Two thousand years.”
“Better late than never. I’m glad for it.”
“Me too. I have always loved you.”
“I- I’ve always loved you too. I’m glad you’re not leavin’ again…”
“Of course not. I won’t ever leave you again, I promise.”
“Good. I love you.”
“I love you too, now and forever.”

Tumblr media
When you auditioned to be a trainee, the last thing you expected was to fall in love. Especially with your senior. But you also didn't expect to be friends with the sweetest man you've ever met. You first knew Changgu as Yeo One, and he was a just a professional you looked up to, but then he turned out to be a really thoughtful person and always helped you with your choreographies, vocals and stage presence training. In the end, you became good friends, but to you there was something more since the beginning.
He ended up being your best friend and spending all free time together  having platonic lunch dates in between schedules and just hanging out all the time. But everything he does built up in you a feeling that was harder and harder to keep it to yourself, and you were beginning to take notice that he might just feel the same.
That's when you started to get bold. Here and there you would risk to hold his hand, to which he would blush like mad and stutter around "what are you doing" and avoid to look you in the eyes for the next 20 minutes. You would cook him lunch and drop by his dorm sometimes, and one day when you felt particularly confident, you risked a kiss on the cheek when saying goodbye after a shopping date - his reaction was priceless and cute.
But it was hard to  get something from him, he was either too shy or too scared to face that he might like you the same way you like him, but you were tired of this, so you decided to put an end to all the chase games and just confess to him. Though it wasn't something easy to do, to simply put your feelings into words, you didn't even know where to begin. Finally, you had the best idea.
You dressed up in your cutest outfit and carefully styled yourself, wishing everything to go flawless. You texted Changgu to meet you at the practice room, and he showed up just on time as you were finishing to get everything set up.
"So" you began, butterflies dancing around in your stomach "I’ve been trying to say something lately, but I didn’t exactly know how to do it, so I hope this says it all.”
Changgu nodded, taking a seat on the corner of the room, watching you attentively.
The music began and you threw yourself in it with all of your passion.
You stole my heart
You stole my heart
I need your love
I need the patch of love
Call me next to you
And I’ll never go away
If I show you everything in my heart
Then it’s no good
I don’t care if you call me childish
I like it like that
You sang and didn’t break eye contact, Changgu smiled shyly at your confidence.
Baby, no matter how much you push me away
Things won’t change
It’s clear that I like you
I can’t help it
For real, I want you so bad
I need you, yeah
My my my my head,
my head
Is filled with you baby
From the start, I want you so bad
I can’t ever stop
My my my my heart,
my heart aches
Because of you
You approached him and pulled him by the hand so he was standing in the middle of the room, and you danced the choreography around him. His gaze was trained on you, and you felt proud and confident, finally getting the message to him.
The music came to end and you stopped directly in front of him, you two staring at each other in silence until you spoke up.
“Was I clear enough this time?” you grinned victoriously as he looked at you in awe
“Do you really mean that?” He said, the shy smile you loved bright is his lips.
“Of course, I thought I was obvious all this time” you laughed together
“But y/n” he held your hand, and your heart skipped a beat at the gesture “are you sure you want this? It could be dangerous, if anyone finds out about it it could delay your debut or…”
You cut him.
Your lips gently touching his’ caught him by surprise, yet he didn’t pull away. It was just a shy peck, just testing waters and seeing if he was really in for it.
“I don’t care, Changgu, I just wanna be with you” you said once you broke apart. His usual blush was more prominent and you took a step back, just in case he needed space.
“Y/N, I feel kind of bad for making you so much that you had to confess… I’ve liked you since you first showed up…”, he held your hand once again and it was then you noticed you were slightly shaking. “I was scared to make a mistake, to put our careers at risk. Not to mention I wasn’t sure if you felt the same”, you opened your mouth to say otherwise but he smiled and raised a finger, mentioning for you to wait, “now I know I was just insecure but it’s hard, especially in our reality, you know?”.
You nodded at his words, your heart feeling like it would beat out of your chest and you could only feel more love for him as he spoke. He was looking at you with care and it was so soft you almost melted away. The hand that held yours was moving so it could caress your arm, then up to your shoulder and then your cheek, his smile never faltering.
“Truth is, I always felt like you were special. You had a sparkle and such energy in you, you were always so sweet and kind, there was no way I could help falling for you”, his shy smile now was filled with confidence and a determination you only saw when he was practicing.
It was Changgu’s turn to kiss you, a sweet peck on the lips. It was longer than the first one and you decided to hold his arm to continue on. It was what he needed to hold your waist and your neck and pull you closer for a much deeper kiss. Your mouths moved loudly enough to make you blush but you didn’t care. It was heaven and you couldn’t get enough of him, his perfume stronger from being so close to him. You let out a small whine when he parted the kiss, earning a giggle from him.
“See? You’re so cute, Y/N. How could I not want you for myself?”. You smiled. He took your breath away in every sense possible and you loved it.
“You never thought I could be so bold, right Changgu?”, you poked his chest, laughing along with him.
“I didn’t. I actually thought I’d lose my restraint and confess some day randomly when we were having lunch or something. But you beat me to it and even prepared something, I need to up my game, Y/N!”, you two laughed and you turned, embarrassed, with the excuse of having to clear the practice room before someone could walk in.
Changgu wordlessly helped you, both of you nervous but also happy, moving in sync with each other around the room. When everything was back in their place, you both stared at each other for a few seconds before Changgu picked your purse for you and held out his hand. You took it without a second thought and walked out of the building. Thankfully it wasn’t filled with people so you two went unnoticed. Your feet stopped at the bus station and you stared at him with questioning eyes.
“Where are we going?”, your hand never left his and you could feel his confidence as he stood straight, proudly holding you. That got the butterflies in your stomach to go crazy and you couldn’t help to smile at him.
“I’m taking you to dinner. In fact, wait here”. Changgu kissed your forehead and walked away to dial on his phone. You shrugged and hoped he wouldn’t blow his money on a fancy restaurant that you needed to make a reservation to go to. He came back a few moments later with a sleazy smile and held your hand again.
“So, what was that about?”, you were even more confused at his actions when he smiled brightly and shook his head “no”, as if he wouldn’t tell you.
“I’ll tell you later, the bus arrived”!, he guided you into the bus and you questioned yourself how lucky he could be to be saved by the timing of the bus.
The ride was a few long minutes, with you two sharing earphones and listening to the most romantic playlist you had saved on your phone. The hands clasped together were hot and you were slightly scared of them getting sweaty, but when you moved to pull it back, Changgu held it tighter with a nudge shoulder to shoulder. When the bus finally came to a stop where Changgu got up and you followed, you had to walk a few more blocks before you saw a sweet looking old lady waving at him with some of his friends next to her. You took a look at him and he only waved back, holding you close.
“Hello, my boy! The girl is beautiful! Even more than what I imagined. The boys and I got it all ready, you know where everything is, make yourself at home! We’ll be back in three hours!”, the lady spoke quickly with the most pleasant expression you ever saw. She nodded at you and at him, mentioning for his friends to come along with her and they only followed, nodding to the both of you on their way out.
“Let’s get inside”, he said happily.
You followed with answering as he was already moving, it was clear he was in a rush, nervous even. When you managed to get inside the place, you noticed it was a small family business restaurant, the aesthetic was very cozy and the decorations made you feel at home. The smell of food made your mouth water so fast that you had to stop yourself from following the scent. You saw one table prepared in the middle of the room, all the others were stored like the place was closed. The table was set with white and red cloth and fine yet homely porcelain plates with some cute glasses. There were flowers around, not much but enough to make the place look like a dream. You felt your eyes watering and your hands started to shake again.
“Changgu, what-”, you turned to ask him but he was standing tall next to you, holding a small bouquet of colorful flowers.
“I told you I needed to up my game”, he laughed softly, “I told you everything before, Y/N, but I want to tell you again that I won’t be scared anymore. I can face anything, even the consequences, if I have you. The song you sang was always in my mind when I looked at you so you couldn’t pick up a better song”, he held your hand, tears now falling freely from your eyes.
“From the start, I want you so bad…”, he sang low. “Y/N, will you be my girlfriend?”.
