Akira Nishikiyama | NSFW A-Z
Rating: 18+ SMUTTY CONTENT Character(s): (After the Turn) Akira Nishikiyama Warning: When I do these, they act sort of as my guidelines that I follow for when I am writing smut of the character in question. Obviously, these are headcanons but some of these headcanons are lore heavy- based on things I’ve come up with over the years. Privately or publicly. If something seems out of character or doesn’t make sense to you, that may be why! I hope you can try to enjoy it anyway. There will be mentions of casual sex as well as sex within a committed relationship. Akira can be detached and mean. Bear in mind that while gender neutral pronouns and terms of endearment are used, this was written with female anatomy in mind.
Using the following NSFW HEADCANON GAME by fairy-tail-babes
Read on AO3!
Read the 'Before The Turn' version if you haven't already. (or read it after this one as aftercare LOL)
A = Aftercare (What they’re like after sex)
At this point in his life, he’s at his most touch starved and emotionally unavailable. It’s a wicked combination and entirely self-inflicted. He’s not above bringing people to bed simply to relieve his pent up sexual frustration. He doesn’t even have to like the person as an individual, he just needs to be attracted to them enough to get whatever he’s built up out of his system. Once he’s done with them, he wants them out of his sight. He’ll point them to the nearest bathroom and send them on their way with a half-hearted mention of calling them some time. On the bright side (?), he’s not so cold with the person who manages to crack this newly hardened shell of his, though. He’s far more affectionate with the individual he’s got feelings for. He wants them as close to him as humanly possible after. Depending on his position, he might even take a while to pull out. He’d fully settle for going soft in them until he’s gotten his fill of their warm with plenty of greedy kisses in the meantime.
B = Body part (Their favorite body part of theirs and also their partner’s)
He doesn’t really have much of a favorite part of himself around this point. He’s sort of just going through the motions every day. He looks in the mirror and he sees a man staring back at himself that looks like him but is still somehow so unfamiliar. Most of his vanity is a farce. Even if there was a part of himself he did enjoy more than others, the nagging thought that there’s still room for improvement would drown his positives.
He likes a nice back. A “nice” back doesn’t always necessarily mean toned and slender– When he thinks of a partner with an attractive back, he imagines pretty, clear skin that looks downright erotic when it’s coated in sweat, sometimes back dimples and especially a nice, deep arch– bonus points if that arch leads his eyes to a gorgeous ass. He tends to prefer that meaningless hook-ups face away from him, so that’s how he came to develop this appreciation. Even when he’s with a serious romantic interest, he’ll slip into backshots at some point just so he can show their back some love– licking it, kissing it and digging his nails into it depending on how far gone he is.
C = Cum (Anything to do with cum basically… I’m a disgusting person)
He’s pretty much always using a condom. He’s even less open to the idea of an accidental pregnancy than he was in the past (which is saying a lot). Not only that, just because he’s brought someone to bed doesn’t mean he trusts them. There are two instances in which he’d forego protection: 1.) he has genuine intent to try and knock this person up, or 2.) he feels so strongly about them that it’s shaken him up and he’s lost all logic. He’d be acting off pure urge and instinct, reaching for protection would disrupt that. Having said all of that, he does tend to snatch his condom off anyway when he’s about to cum and jerk himself off because he’s a painter. He’ll ensure his partner’s back is painted beautifully by the time he’s done with them. If he can’t get to their back, no worries, he’ll just give them a facial. Clenching their cheeks, he will simply command “Open.” then challenge himself to see how much he can actually get to land in their mouth.
D = Dirty Secret (Pretty self explanatory, a dirty secret of theirs)
He has a nice polaroid camera and the best home video camera money can buy and while it wasn’t the original intent behind the purchase, they certainly have become useful in the bedroom. He likes to record his partner and go back to the polaroids or videos he’s collected when he misses them or is just horny. His favorite types of pictures to take are when he has them press their head against the bed, floor, etc and arch until their ass is nice and high after he’s coated them in cum.
E = Experience (How experienced are they? Do they know what they’re doing?)
While he doesn’t have as much sex these days as he did a while back, he’s garnered enough experience to know how to show someone a good time if he wanted to. That’s just the key word: Want. Sometimes he cares so little about the enjoyment of the other person and more so about getting off that, all of his previous experience is sorta irrelevant.
F = Favorite Position (Links to literal porn. Use your own discretion.)
His favorite positions generally include him taking his partner from behind. Obviously, doggystyle is a classic and one can never go wrong with that. He likes them face down, ass up– many times while pressing their face into the sheets/pillow or whatever surface he’s fucking them against. Sometimes, he’ll rail them from behind while holding a fist full of their hair. If he’s feeling a little lazy or maybe just wanting to relinquish control for a bit, he may put them in reverse-cowgirl or the hotseat. When he’s wanting something closer and more intimate with his partner, he’d spoon them if he can or maybe try the flatiron.
G = Goofy (Are they more serious in the moment, or are they humorous, etc)
It takes a special kind of person to get him to smile or laugh while he’s getting busy. He sort of zones in and shuts out everything except the hole he’s fucking. If his partner is able to bring him out of that, and get him to even crack a smile, let alone laugh– well, color him intrigued.
H = Hair (How well groomed are they, does the carpet match the drapes, etc.)
He doesn’t keep himself as maintained as he used to. He’s not particularly hair down there anyway. The hair just grows kinda long and thick. He trims every once in a while but unless it’s hot out, he doesn’t care to stay on top of upkeep. Perhaps if he was in a committed relationship, he’d try to trim more regularly?
I = Intimacy (How are they during the moment, romantic aspect…)
Deep down, he has an intense craving for intimacy and love but he doesn’t look to satisfy those desires with just anyone. He could fuck someone and barely look them in the eye during or after. He is rigid when a hookup touches him– stiff, and other than to push/pull or smack them around, he’s not doing much touching himself. When he’s caressing his partner's hair/face/body, whispering things to them (no matter how sweet or downright filthy), guiding their face to have them meet his eyes, practically begging them to say his name and melting into their touch, they’ll know for sure that he’s absolutely smitten with them. He hates that he becomes so weak when he’s in love but, he’d be telling a bold faced LIE if he said he doesn’t secretly revel in it.
J = Jack Off (Masturbation headcanon)
Work stresses him beyond belief, life even more so and sometimes his mind gets so cloudy and his shoulders so tense that he needs some quick relief to put him at ease. He’ll do it when he’s wound up but also when he’s immensely horny and cannot be bothered to deal with another person.
K = Kink (One or more of their kinks -also adding fetishes-)
Impact play- He’s got a habit of slapping and smacking his partners while he’s fucking them. Be it their face or body– sometimes he just gets the itch to light them up and listen to them whine.
Partialism- As previously mentioned, a pretty back can really get him squirming in his seat. If his partner is wearing something that showcases theirs, he won’t be able to keep his hands off of them and would be about ready to pounce the moment they have some time alone.
Pussy worship- While he doesn’t put as much effort into pleasing every person he beds, his love for pussy hasn’t gone away. He still craves the taste, smell and feeling of a pretty pussy against his tongue and face. Tasting his partners always brought out a side of him that he decided he should be a bit more selective with who he shows that to.
JOI- Especially over the phone when he can’t get to his partner– getting to hear their voice and have them tell him what to do really gets him going. While he’s certainly a brat about it, he likes it when they’re kinda bossy and mean.
L = Location (Favorite places to do the do)
Wherever the pants fall, this is something that has not and may never change. While he’s quick to get a room somewhere to handle his business or call his lover to his place, it’s not above him to have a romp or two in his office. In fact, if the desire strikes mid-day, he may summon his partner to his office just to take them against his desk and then send them back on their way.
M = Motivation (What turns them on, gets them going)
Confidence, especially when said confidence keeps them from buckling under him. Someone who refuses to allow him to intimidate them. Everyday, he’s walking around on a constant power trip. Men duck their heads to him when he simply walks into a room. Women avert their eyes. He’s nearly forgotten what it’s like to not be taken seriously and while it may tick him off initially, he’d still find it interesting. He’d want to know what it would take to crack them. Another thing would be someone who isn’t afraid to try and take control. He prefers to be in control of everything but someone who fights against that– some who can tame him? He’d buckle.
N = NO (Something they wouldn’t do, turn offs)
Humiliation is a no go. While he is intrigued by someone who can take the reins and make him follow their lead from time to time, he draws the line at being made to feel small. The thing about temporarily surrendering to someone is knowing that when he wants to be in charge again, he can and will. Deep, deep down, no matter how hard of a face he puts on, he’s still that young, insecure boy inside. He’s not into anything that triggers those feelings.
O = Oral (Preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc)
If he’s single, he’s definitely receiving more than he’s giving which sucks. Like, sure, he enjoys the feel of a warm tongue swirling around the head of his dick but nothing will ever compare to the pleasure he feels while fisting his dick as he eats out his s/o. He’s not sure when he stopped doing it as often as he used to but he knows why he did. He often mourns the feeling of having a sloppy, wet cunt gliding across his face, thighs trembling against his cheeks and when he can’t take it anymore and the craving is too severe, he does know who he can call to get it out of his system. Once he’s in a relationship or even just kinda getting serious about someone, he’s reminded of why he preserves his talent. He becomes a noisy, weepy mess when he’s thrusting into his fist at the same pace that he uses to fuck his lover with his tongue. It’s not uncommon for him to call his s/o to his office just so that he can kneel beside the desk he’s sat them on and absolutely go to town on them. Sometimes getting to go home to drown his face in his darling’s sweet pussy is all that’s keeping him going.
P = Pace (Are they fast and rough? Slow and sensual? etc.)
Sometimes he’s so rough, one may feel they’re being hatefucked by him. So often, he’s full of pent up rage that he just has to fuck it out. He’s yanking hair, biting, digging his nails into skin, spanking as if he intends to bruise. That’s why he makes sure his partner knows what they’re getting themselves into before he fucks them. Even when he’s ‘making love’ to someone, there’s still a level of intensity that is fierce as it is sensuous.
Q = Quickie (Their opinions on quickies rather than proper sex, how often, etc.)
Not only can a quickie be all he has time for, sometimes it’s really all he wants. If his partner is cool with foregoing the buildup and dropping their underwear at a moment’s notice, then consider them his perfect match.
R = Risk (Are they game to experiment, do they take risks, etc.)
He’s open to a lot of things so long as it doesn’t include knocking up a random or has the potential to damage the perception of the Nishikiyama family name.
S = Stamina (How many rounds can they go for, how long do they last…)
His stamina is still pretty high. He can last for about as long as he’d like to last so long as he’s not too pent up and the sexual tension between him and his partner isn’t extremely thick. He’s got to want to last, though. When nothing but the need to bust a nut is what’s driving him, he can be done in 10 minutes or less. Once is enough in general, but the right significant other can bring the insatiability right out of him.
T = Toy (Do they own toys? Do they use them? On a partner or themselves?)
He likes to incorporate toys from time to time. He has toys that he owns that he’d use on his partners if they’re open to it and then he also sends toys along with lingerie as gifts, wrapped all pretty and topped with a bow that he’d like to see or hear them use on themselves. Vibrators are fun, he’s more open to dildos than he used to be but his favorite things to play with are those he uses to explore his interest in impact play: floggers, riding crops…whips.
U = Unfair (how much they like to tease)
He can certainly be a tease when he wants to be. His teasing borders on degradation given the right circumstances. He especially likes to tease when he’s treating his partner harshly and they’re lost with how much they’re enjoying. He loves to see it but his mouth would tell a different story. He’d tease them for enjoying being ragdolled and treated like a worthless fleshlight. He’d make them beg for more, or beg to cum, anything really.
V = Volume (How loud they are, what sounds they make)
His volume is pretty moderate. He does a lot of grunting– moaning, when he’s really emotionally invested. He talks and he wants his partner to talk back to him. He’s urging them to tell him how he makes them feel, he wants to hear where his dick is, he’s commanding them to declare who they belong to and most importantly, he’s making them call his name. He’s probably at his most noisy when he’s performing oral. It’s the #1 surefire way to hear him moan like a bitch…It’s fascinating. It should be studied, truly.
W = Wild Card (Get a random headcanon for the character of your choice)
While he loves to see his partner dolled up in some sexy lingerie, something about them going out with no underwear turns him on beyond belief. Once, he took a girl to dinner and at some point during, she excused herself to the restroom. When she returned, she stuffed the panties she’d been wearing (the panties he’d bought for her) in his pocket. He had to spend the remainder of the dinner fighting the desire to dive beneath the table and between her legs to make her cry by riling him up like that. If he notices his partner has decided to forego underwear while they’re out and about, he won’t be able to keep his hands off of them.
X = X-Ray (Let’s see what’s going on in those pants, picture or words)
He’s a bit over 4 ½ inches and girthy, with a tasteful upright curve from the center up. The shaft itself is a warm tan color but the head is bright pink. When he’s aroused, that pink appears more reddish. He may be on the smaller side but he knows exactly how to use it. He leaves his partners trembling after using that same 4 incher to abuse their g-spot.
Y = Yearning (How high is their sex drive?)
He’s more stressed than he is horny. Many times he finds himself fucking with the intent to blow off some steam rather than because he was aroused. It often leaves him feeling empty. He notices that he feels genuinely more horny when he’s in a relationship and feels more fulfilled after sex with his s/o. Perhaps it’s because he allows himself to fully be in the moment that leaves him feeling recharged. He needs as much of that feeling as he can get.
Z = ZZZ (… how quickly they fall asleep afterwards)
He’s teetering toward being an insomniac, so sex doesn’t wipe him out like it used to. He could fuck for like 45 minutes, sweat out his pomade and still be up for hours after he’s cum. If he’s fallen asleep shortly after sex, it’s likely because he feels so at peace when he’s with that person that the thoughts that usually swirl and plague his mind are drowned out by the sound of their voice and/or breathing.

The Gilded Cage
Summary: After being kidnapped by the Cigarette Smoking Man, Mulder and Scully have to plan their escape. However, a daring course of action is much more complicated with a two week old.
word count: 6,973 | Teen | MSR | @today-in-fic
Read on AO3 or check out the first chapter below the break
This is part of an episodic series called A Second Chance. All the episodes are collected, in order, using AO3’s series feature. The concept of the series is to rewrite seasons 8 and 9. It deals with Mulder’s return from the dead, the birth of William, and Mulder and Scully trying to juggle family life with impending doom.
If you don’t want to read the whole thing, but want to read this story, here is what you need to know…
Previously on A Second Chance: After Mulder returned from the dead, he moved in with Scully. (Reentry). Scully, while pregnant, was infected with the black oil and somehow neutralized it (Immunidad). The Cigarette Smoking Man (and a new syndicate) learned of this, and became interested in Scully’s baby. After William was born, Mulder and Scully were determined to keep him safe (Sinister). However, after they learned that not only can William neutralize the black oil if infected, but he was also immune to the Super Soldier virus, Mulder planned to go on the run with William, leaving Scully behind due to the chip in her neck (and therefore her ability to be tracked). However, the Smoking Man got to them first. Mulder and Scully agreed to go with the Cigarette Smoking Man because he promised that he would keep them together and protect them from the alien colonists (who want to kill Mulder, Scully, and William) in exchange for letting him make a vaccine from William’s blood. (In the Space of a Day) When Maggie discovers that her daughter and family are missing, Skinner and the rest of the crew start a search, only to find planted evidence that Mulder and Scully ran, but died in a car accident. Meanwhile, Mulder, Scully, and William leave with the Smoking Man. (Loss)
While I don’t normally suggest that you read the other stories, this one could be considered a three parter with In the Space of a Day and Loss.
I don’t think one would be totally lost if they just read the recap above… but it would probably be better if you read them first.
“Well, should I carry you across the threshold?”
Scully glanced over at Mulder, who was laden with their luggage. Before them stood a nondescript house, in a row of nondescript houses.
It reminded Scully of every Navy base she’d ever lived on.
Ignoring Mulder’s joke, Scully headed for the front door, shifting William to one arm so she could open it.
Mulder followed, dropping the luggage in the entryway. Scully looked around. Based on the style, she guessed the house was built in the 50s, as the kitchen and living rooms were separate. The entryway had three doors: to the left was a hall leading to the bedrooms. Ahead was the living room. And to the right was the kitchen, which was covered in ugly rose colored tile. The house had clearly seen better days, but it was clean and the furnishings looked new.
“Hey, look Scully,” Mulder said, peering into the living room, “One of those new flat screen TVs. If they sprang for HBO, then we’ll know we’re really VIPs.”
Scully sighed, and handed William to Mulder. “I have to go to the bathroom.”
The handoff caused William to squawk in displeasure, and Scully heard Mulder trying to sooth him as she disappeared down the hall. She immediately found the bathroom, but before she entered, she glanced through the other two doors. Both were bedrooms, on the small side. One was set up as a nursery, and the other had a single large bed and a dresser.
Scully returned to the bathroom and sat on the toilet. It too was a small room, the toilet crammed next to the vanity to make room for a shower over tub.
She was going to miss her large clawfoot tub.
Her elbows perched on her knees, Scully held her head as she peed. It still stung (she’d had moderate tearing while giving birth), but she lacked the energy to dig out the peri bottle.
After finishing up, she headed for the bedroom and flopped down. She hadn't slept on the plane — the idea of being unconscious with Spender sitting right there had been nauseating. The last time she’d fallen asleep in his presence she’d woken up in a new location and a different set of clothes. She didn’t like to dwell on what that meant, but she sure as hell wasn’t going to make that mistake again.
However, that meant the last time she’d slept had been at the Gunmen’s, about twenty hours ago. And before that she hadn’t slept for more than two hours at a time since William was born. She would just rest a moment, then go help Mulder.
However, despite her intentions, despite the danger and the worry, Scully was asleep within a minute of her head hitting the pillow.
***
Mulder hated that he liked this house.
It was small, but much larger than the apartment they’d all been sharing. They had their own backyard, with a stretch of grass where he could imagine playing catch or maybe kicking around a soccer ball. There was a garage and a driveway where he could put a portable basketball hoop. It was outdated – the kitchen needed a facelift and the paneling in the living room screamed 1965, but it had a nice layout. If he and Scully were house hunting, rather than being kidnapped by a global cabal, he’d try to convince her to put a lowball offer in, so they could use the rest of their money to spruce the place up.
He swayed with William as he looked out the plate glass window to the backyard. How he wished he was house hunting right now. Instead they were at a military base that reminded him far too much of the one that had been Samantha’s final home.
“I’m so sorry,” he murmured, kissing his son’s head. “I’m so sorry this is happening to you.” He knew William didn’t know — all he cared about was that Scully was nearby. But Mulder couldn’t help but feel tremendous guilt over this whole situation. His involvement with the X-Files had caused Scully so much pain: her abduction, Melissa’s death, Emily. And now they were being held, because he hadn't fucking looked before he opened the door of the apartment. He’d been so caught up in his sorrow over leaving Scully that he had just assumed it was the Gunmen at the door. He hadn’t looked through the peephole. Maybe if he had, they wouldn’t be here right now.
Mulder heard the toilet flush, and when Scully didn’t reappear, he headed for the back of the house. He found her, laying on top of the covers, passed out. “Oh Scully,” he murmured. Balancing William with one hand, he stretched the blanket at the foot of the bed over her. He’d let her sleep as long as she could. He still had the cooler of frozen breast milk that Scully had prepared when she thought he was leaving with their son. He would thaw some and let her sleep.
Mulder headed back to the living room and sat on the couch. He clicked on the TV and the channel guide said it was 5:45 PM. Glancing at his watch, Mulder noted that put them in the Pacific time zone. That matched with what Mulder had observed: the flight had taken about six hours and he was pretty sure they’d flown over the Rockies.
Flipping through the guide, he saw that the A’s were playing on one local channel, while the Mariners were on another. If Mulder remembered his MLB broadcast map correctly, that would put them in Oregon.
Where this had all started, and where it had nearly ended.
They were back in the very plausible state of Oregon.

Refreshing Ideas for a Kitchen and Bathroom Renovation
Introduction:
Embarking on a kitchen and bathroom renovation project is an exciting opportunity to revitalize the heart of your home and create a serene oasis in your bathroom. If you're seeking inspiration and refreshing ideas for your upcoming renovation, look no further. In this article, we will present you with a collection of innovative and creative ideas that will transform your kitchen and bathroom into stylish, functional, and inviting spaces.
Embrace Open Shelving: Open shelving is a popular trend that adds a modern and airy feel to both kitchens and bathrooms. Instead of traditional closed cabinets, consider removing some cabinet doors and showcasing your favorite dishes, glassware, or decorative items on open shelves. This not only creates an open and inviting atmosphere but also provides easy access to frequently used items. Play with different materials, such as reclaimed wood or sleek metal, to match your desired aesthetic.
Incorporate Statement Lighting: Upgrade your kitchen and bathroom lighting to make a bold statement. Pendant lights above the kitchen island can serve as striking focal points while providing ample illumination for meal preparation. In the bathroom, consider installing a glamorous chandelier or a sleek, contemporary light fixture above the vanity to create a luxurious ambiance. Thoughtfully chosen lighting fixtures can instantly elevate the style and mood of these spaces.
Add a Pop of Color: Inject a burst of color into your kitchen and bathroom to liven up the overall design. Consider painting an accent wall in a vibrant hue or introducing colorful tiles as a backsplash in the kitchen or shower area in the bathroom. You can also incorporate colorful accessories such as towels, rugs, or artwork to infuse energy and personality into the space. Don't be afraid to experiment with bold and unique color combinations that reflect your personal style.
Integrate Smart Technology: Embrace the convenience and efficiency of smart technology in your kitchen and bathroom. Install touchless faucets that promote hygiene and water conservation. In the kitchen, invest in smart appliances that allow you to control and monitor cooking processes remotely. In the bathroom, consider installing a smart mirror with built-in lighting and Bluetooth capabilities. These technological additions not only enhance functionality but also give your spaces a contemporary and futuristic touch.
Create a Spa-like Retreat: Transform your bathroom into a tranquil oasis reminiscent of a luxurious spa. Install a freestanding soaking tub for ultimate relaxation and add a rain showerhead or a multi-jet shower system to create a spa-like experience. Incorporate natural materials like stone or wood, and opt for soft, neutral colors to evoke a sense of serenity. Enhance the ambiance with scented candles, plush towels, and calming artwork to complete the serene retreat.
Maximize Storage: In both the kitchen and bathroom, efficient storage solutions are essential for a well-organized and clutter-free space. Consider incorporating clever storage options such as pull-out drawers, built-in organizers, or vertical storage racks. Utilize the space under the sink or opt for wall-mounted shelves to maximize storage potential. By optimizing storage, you can maintain a clean and functional environment in these heavily utilized areas.
Conclusion:
A kitchen and bathroom renovation presents an opportunity to breathe new life into these essential spaces. By embracing ideas such as open shelving, statement lighting, pops of color, smart technology integration, spa-like elements, and maximizing storage, you can create a refreshing and personalized atmosphere that reflects your style and enhances your daily routines. Get inspired, let your creativity soar, and embark on a renovation journey that will transform your kitchen and bathroom into spaces you'll love for years to come.

Enhancing Comfort and Functionality
Bathrooms are the most frequently used room in a home. Remodeling opens up prospects for space utilization, updating fixtures, and adding storage solutions so that the bathroom can then be made more convenient and user-friendly.
Example: Imagine a spacious shower with a rain showerhead and built-in seating. Or consider the joy of having an organized vanity with ample storage for toiletries and towels.
Increasing Home Value
A stylish and functional bathroom can be a major selling point in Las Vegas, where the housing market is competitive. Often, homebuyers are drawn to newly updated bathrooms. If you keep updating, you have a better shot at pulling in a high price at resale.
Reducing Utility Costs
Modern bathroom fixtures are made with energy and water efficiency. Changing from traditional old fixtures to more modern eco-friendly versions will help you save money in terms of utilities and impact on the environment.
1) Go Minimalist with Clean Lines and Neutral Colors
A modern bathroom is minimalist but elegant. Minimalism is the biggest trend in Las Vegas bathroom remodeling. Nothing can be more soothing, peaceful, or refreshing than a space without clutter and crowded conditions opening to more light and air.
Use Neutral Color Palettes
Neutral colors like white, gray, beige, and soft blues provide a sense of serenity and peacefulness. The room will look spacious with these colors; various colors can be added using accessories and decorations.
Pro Tip: Adding natural stone, tile, or wood textures will help warm and add interest to the bathroom without overpowering the minimalistic feel.
Opt for Sleek, Simple Fixtures
The fewer elements you include in your minimalist bathroom, the less cluttered it’ll feel. Some sleek options in a simple bathroom are wall-mounted sinks, frameless mirrors, and floating vanities. These will all add functionality but keep the eye manageable with visual space.
For example, in small bathrooms, a floating vanity will also act as a form of storage while providing the impression that there is more floor space.
2) Embrace Nature with Organic Elements
One more bathroom remodeling trend in Las Vegas is to bring some elements of nature into the bathroom. Organic materials and earthy tones are so soothing; they create a spa-like ambiance to unwind in.
Choose Natural Materials
Wood, stone, and bamboo are great choices to create a natural feel in the bathroom. A wood vanity or a stone sink will add warmth and tranquility to the space.
Pro Tip: Use reclaimed wood for vanities or shelving to add character and sustainability to your remodel.
Incorporate Greenery
Plants add a touch of life and freshness to your bathroom. Choose low-maintenance plants that thrive in humid environments, such as ferns, snakes, or pothos.
Example: Adding a small plant on your vanity or installing a vertical garden creates a serene atmosphere and improves indoor air quality.
3) Luxury Touches for a Spa-Like Experience
If you want to transform your bathroom into a personal sanctuary, consider adding luxurious elements that bring the spa experience into your home. You can relax and feel comfortable with luxury bathroom remodeling in Las Vegas.
Rain Showers and Freestanding Tubs
Nothing says “luxury,” like a rain shower head or a freestanding soaking tub. This may be ideal after going out for an extended time outside in cold weather or after a crazy day.
Pro Tip: Multi-function showerheads must have at least rain, massage, and mist settings. A handheld is a must, too- for versatility.
Heated Floors and Towel Warmers
For ultimate comfort, heated floors and towel warmers come in handy. They make the chilly Las Vegas mornings more livable and enhance the spa-like feeling.
Example: Radiant floor heating under tile or stone flooring keeps the bathroom cozy and eliminates the shock of cold tiles.
Ambient Lighting
It requires good lighting in a luxurious bathroom. The combination of overhead, wall sconces, and LED strip lights would produce warm, inviting glows. The mood and ambiance should then be controlled through dimmable lights when needed.
Pro Tip: Installing LED strip lights under the vanity or behind mirrors would provide a soft, modern appearance and add depth and style to the place.
4) Add Smart Technology for Convenience and Efficiency
Smart technology in your Las Vegas bathroom remodeling project gives you convenience and saves as much space as possible on energy consumption. Smart bathrooms are fast becoming popular for their functionality improvement and utility cost-saving capabilities.
Smart Mirrors and Lighting
Imagine entering a bathroom where lights dim to your preferred setting, and your mirror defogs itself after a hot shower. Smart mirrors usually have built-in LED lighting, touch controls, and Bluetooth speakers.
Pro Tip: Choose a smart mirror with a dimming feature to create the right ambiance for unwinding at night or waking up in the morning.
Voice-Activated Controls
Voice-activated technology allows easy adjustments of the water temperature, from lighting control. Creating a personalized bathroom experience is easy: connect your smart bathroom system to your voice assistants like Alexa or Google Home for complete control.
Eco-Friendly Toilets and Faucets
Modern toilets and faucets have technology that allows water to be conserved without compromising performance. Use dual flush toilets and low-flow faucets that can save the water used per month by reducing your monthly utility bills.
5) Creative Storage Solutions for a Clutter-Free Space
Storage is essential for any bathroom, especially to keep the space organized and functional. You can maximize every inch with innovative storage ideas, even in a small bathroom.
Floating Shelves and Cabinets
The floating shelves and cabinets ensure storage without using floor space, making them ideal for small bathrooms. They will give a sleek look to the bathroom and can hold towels, plants, and other decorative items.
Example: Install floating shelves above the toilet or sink for extra storage that feels light.
Hidden Storage Compartments
Hidden storage, such as recessed medicine cabinets or vanities with drawers and organizers, can keep clutter out of sight while allowing easy access to your favorite products.
Use Vertical Space
Maximize storage by using the vertical space in your bathroom. Tall cabinets or wall-mounted organizers can store toiletries, towels, and cleaning supplies without wasting valuable counter space.
Pro Tip: Ladder shelving can add a bit of fashion to a bathroom with stored towels and accessories, keeping the design fresh.

Master Bathroom Remodeling in Phoenix and Scottsdale, AZ: Design Ideas and Inspiration
The master bathroom is more than just a functional space—it’s a personal retreat where one can unwind and recharge. For home renovation in Scottsdale and Phoenix, AZ, a master bathroom remodel is an opportunity to create a luxurious, spa-like environment that complements the region’s upscale, desert-inspired homes. With the right design ideas, one can transform the master bath into a serene sanctuary that meets both one’s practical needs and aesthetic desires.
Here are some design ideas and inspiration to guide one’s master bathroom remodeling in Phoenix and Scottsdale, AZ:
Open and Airy Layout
An open and airy layout is key to creating a luxurious bathroom in Scottsdale, where space and natural light are abundant. Consider removing walls or partitions to create a seamless flow between the bathroom and the adjoining bedroom or hallway. A spacious, open floor plan enhances freedom and relaxation, allowing natural light to flood the room. Large windows, strategically placed skylights, or even sliding glass doors that open to a private patio or garden can elevate the space by connecting it to the outdoors.
Spa-Like Features for Ultimate Relaxation
Transform the master bathroom into a personal oasis with spa-like features. Installing a freestanding soaking tub can create a focal point that invites relaxation. Consider a deep, freestanding tub with modern lines and a minimalist design, perfect for soaking after a long day. Pair it with a floor-mounted tub filler and a built-in fireplace or a feature wall made of natural stone to enhance the serene, calming atmosphere.
In addition to the tub, a large walk-in shower with multiple showerheads, including a rain shower and handheld fixture, provides a luxurious showering experience. One can go for frameless glass enclosures that give the space a sleek, modern look. Tiled floors and walls with neutral tones such as taupe, beige, or even ocean-inspired blues create a calm and refreshing environment.
Natural Materials to Complement the Desert Landscape
Scottsdale’s desert surroundings are rich in natural beauty, and incorporating earthy, organic materials into one’s bathroom design can help bring the outdoors in. Use natural stone, such as travertine, marble, or granite, for the flooring, shower walls, or countertops. The textures and colors of these materials—ranging from warm browns to soft creams—complement the desert landscape while adding elegance to the space.
Wood accents, like teak or oak, can bring a touch of warmth to the room, particularly in cabinetry, shelving, or even decorative touches. One might consider adding wood-trimmed mirrors or wooden floating vanities for a modern yet grounded design that feels connected to nature.
High-End, Custom Fixtures and Finishes
Luxury is in the details, and for bathroom remodeling in Phoenix and Scottsdale, AZ, choosing high-end fixtures and finishes is essential. Consider adding custom cabinetry with sleek, contemporary lines and functional storage solutions. Floating vanities with clean edges and under-cabinet lighting offer a modern, high-end look while maximizing floor space.
For the fixtures, one can choose brushed gold, matte black, or polished chrome for a modern touch. A statement faucet or elegant shower fixtures can make a significant impact on the bathroom’s overall aesthetic. Adding a large, backlit mirror enhances the luxurious feel while providing better lighting for daily grooming tasks.
Smart Bathroom Technology
Incorporating technology into the master bathroom remodel is a fantastic way to enhance comfort and convenience. Heated floors, programmable thermostats for showers, and high-tech toilet systems can elevate one’s bathroom experience. Smart mirrors with built-in lighting, Bluetooth speakers, and even touchless faucets add a modern touch to the design while also improving the overall functionality of the space.
Additionally, one can consider adding motorized blinds or shades to the windows that can be adjusted with a remote or app to control natural light and privacy effortlessly.
Neutral, Calming Color Palettes
When it comes to color schemes for the master bathroom remodel, neutral tones dominate. Soft whites, creams, taupes, and grays create a soothing atmosphere that promotes relaxation. These hues can be complemented with metallic accents like polished brass or chrome, creating contrast while maintaining a refined, upscale feel.
For those who prefer a bolder design, deep shades of navy, charcoal, or even earthy greens and browns work well with Scottsdale’s desert-inspired interiors. Accent walls, tiled backsplashes, or carefully chosen accessories in these colors can perfectly balance sophistication and relaxation.
A master bathroom remodel in Scottsdale offers the opportunity to create a luxurious, relaxing space that complements one’s lifestyle and the surrounding desert beauty.

Best Interior Designer in Bhubaneswar | Top Interior Designer
Creating a beautiful, functional, and stylish space requires a keen eye for detail and an understanding of interior design principles. Let's explore key interior design ideas across various spaces in a home, from luxury bedroom interiors to compact salon designs, blending aesthetics and practicality for a well-designed lifestyle.
1. Bedroom Interior Design
A bedroom should be a sanctuary for relaxation and comfort. Luxury bedroom interior design often incorporates plush materials like velvet or silk, calming color palettes, and layered lighting to create a serene atmosphere. For smaller bedrooms, maximizing space with built-in wardrobes, mirrors to create depth, and soft, neutral tones can make a significant impact.
2. Living Room Interior Design
The living room is the heart of the home and should reflect your personality. Modern living room interior design trends favor open-plan spaces with versatile seating, minimalist decor, and accent lighting. Adding textured elements like woven throws or a statement rug adds warmth. A neutral backdrop with pops of color—perhaps in the form of artwork or cushions—can create a balanced yet dynamic look.
3. Kitchen Interior Design
Kitchens are evolving into multifunctional spaces that encourage socializing. Kitchen interior design now often includes elements of luxury with materials like quartz or granite countertops, state-of-the-art appliances, and ambient lighting. To save space, wall-mounted shelves, corner storage solutions, and pull-out cabinets are practical additions. For a cozy touch, consider a small herb garden on the windowsill.
4. Bathroom Interior Design
Bathrooms are becoming increasingly luxurious with spa-like elements. For a small bathroom, light-colored tiles and strategically placed mirrors can create an illusion of space. Rain showerheads, floating vanities, and open shelving are popular in bathroom interior design. For a more opulent touch, incorporate a freestanding bathtub, soft lighting, and marble surfaces.
5. Office Interior Design
A well-designed home office or workplace encourages productivity. Office interior design ideas include ergonomic furniture, plenty of natural light, and clutter-free layouts. Small office spaces can benefit from vertical storage and compact desks, while larger spaces can incorporate reading nooks or small lounge areas for a relaxed work atmosphere.
6. House Interior Design
Creating a cohesive design for an entire house can be challenging but rewarding. House interior design focuses on consistency in color schemes, materials, and overall style. Common themes like minimalism, rustic, or contemporary can be adapted room by room. To make the most of small spaces, prioritize multifunctional furniture, light color palettes, and open layouts.
7. Room Interior Design
Each room should reflect its function and purpose. Room interior design is all about personalization and efficiency. For instance, a hobby room might have ample storage and creative decor, while a guest room may feature neutral tones and cozy furnishings. Using versatile elements, like adjustable lighting and convertible furniture, enhances comfort and functionality.
8. Small Salon Interior Design
Creating an inviting atmosphere in a compact space is essential for small salon interior design. Opt for lighter colors, mirrors to add depth, and well-organized layouts to make the salon feel spacious and welcoming. Choosing sleek, minimal furniture and investing in good lighting can enhance the customer experience and highlight the salon’s aesthetic.
9. Small Bedroom Interior Design
In small bedrooms, every inch counts. Utilize wall-mounted shelves, sliding doors, and under-the-bed storage to maximize space. Light, airy color schemes and minimalistic decor are ideal for small bedroom interior design to avoid a cluttered feel. Multifunctional furniture, like a bed with built-in drawers or a foldable desk, can further save space while adding functionality.
10. Interior Design Ideas for Any Space
When designing any room, consider these timeless interior design ideas:
Balance and Proportion: Ensure furniture and decor are appropriately sized for the room.
Layered Lighting: Combine ambient, task, and accent lighting for a well-lit, dynamic space.
Color Harmony: Choose a cohesive color palette for each room, with complementary accent colors for added vibrancy.
Textured Elements: Add depth with textured rugs, curtains, or cushions.
Personal Touches: Artwork, plants, or custom decor can make any space feel unique.
Conclusion
Whether creating a luxury bedroom interior design or finding smart solutions for small salon interiors, interior design is about harmonizing form and function. By prioritizing comfort, style, and practicality, you can create a space that feels both inviting and beautifully curated. Any room can transform into a perfect blend of aesthetics and functionality with the right interior design ideas.

Renovation Trends to Consider for Your Rental Properties
Renter preferences and market demands must be understood before making an investment in rental homes. Your property's value and appeal can be increased with renovations, which will raise occupancy rates and rental income. These are some major remodeling ideas to think about in 2024.
Smart Home Technology
Among renters, smart home technology is popular. Convenience and security are increased by features like smart lighting, keyless access, and thermostats. With contemporary living and energy savings, these improvements can differentiate your house and draw in eco-aware renters.
Open Floor Plans
Rentals with open floor designs are common because they provide a roomy and communal space. The property will appear larger and more welcoming to tenants if non-load-bearing walls are removed to optimize space and enhance room flow.
Outdoor Spaces
Outdoor areas appeal to residents who value work-life balance. The appeal of rental properties is increased by features like patios, gardens, and balconies. In urban situations where outside space is restricted, adding seats and fire pits creates pleasant spaces for entertaining and relaxing.
Updated Kitchens and Bathrooms
As bathrooms and kitchens greatly impact the choices of renters, upgrades are a smart investment. Updates are required for countertops, cabinets, and fixtures. Kitchen utility is enhanced by islands and open shelves. Fixing leaky toilet shut-off valves and installing new tiles, vanities, and lighting in bathrooms improves its look and usability.
High-Quality Flooring
Flooring has a big impact on how a rental property feels and looks. Long-lasting, low-maintenance alternatives are preferred by tenants. High-quality laminate or luxury vinyl plank (LVP) are both sturdy and fashionable options that resemble hardwood without the expense and upkeep.
Neutral Color Palettes
For rental properties, neutral color schemes work best. Tenants may envision their style thanks to the clean, welcoming ambiance created by soft grays, beiges, and whites. Additionally, these hues increase the appeal of the house by giving the impression that spaces are bigger and more open.
Enhanced Storage Solutions
Innovative solutions can be crucial since tenants value storage. Take into consideration multipurpose furniture, built-in shelving, or under-bed storage. One way to maximize space is to add or optimize closets. Tenants that prioritize functionality will find smaller apartments feel more welcoming and well-organized when storage is designed well.
Flexible Spaces
The growing popularity of remote work has led to a demand for flexible venues. Design spaces with several uses, such as a home office that may be used as a guest room. This adaptability appeals to a broader spectrum of tenants, such as families and young professionals.
Community and Amenities
Think about the community fit of your rental property. The attraction is increased by renovations like shared outdoor areas and communal gardens. Fitness facilities, lounges, and co-working spaces are among the amenities that draw in residents looking for more than simply a place to live.
Conclusion
Including these trends increases the value and attraction of rentals. Prioritizing technology, sustainability, and tenant demands draws in a variety of renters, boosts marketability, and raises tenant satisfaction, all of which contribute to increased occupancy and long-term profitability.

Transform Tiny Bathrooms Into Stylish Spaces with Smart Bathroom Renovation Tips
Small bathrooms can be challenging to renovate due to limited space, but with bathroom renovation, they can be transformed into functional, stylish, and modern spaces. A custom bathroom renovation allows you to optimize every square inch, making it practical and visually appealing.
Here are some modern renovation ideas tailored to small bathrooms, ensuring you maximize your space.
Smart Storage Solutions
Storage is often one of the biggest issues in small bathrooms. One way to maximize space is by incorporating built-in storage units. Floating vanities with drawers or cabinets can provide ample storage while maintaining an airy feel.
Another smart idea is to install recessed shelves inside the walls. These shelves can store toiletries, towels, and other essentials without occupying precious floor space.
Medicine cabinets with mirrored doors are another excellent solution to store smaller items while serving a dual purpose.
Maximize Vertical Space
In small bathrooms, it’s important to think vertically. You can add extra storage and enhance the overall design by utilizing the walls.
Floor-to-ceiling cabinetry, tall open shelving, or hanging hooks can all provide functional storage without infringing on your limited square footage.
Another option is to install wall-mounted faucets and toilets, which can make the room feel more spacious by freeing up floor space.
Light And Neutral Color Palette
Choose a light and neutral colour palette to give your small bathroom a modern look. White, soft grays and beige tones reflect light, making the room appear larger and more open.
These colours also create a clean, minimalist vibe for modern bathroom designs. Consider incorporating natural materials such as stone, wood, or marble in your countertops, backsplashes, or flooring to add depth.
Combining these elements can give your bathroom a luxurious, spa-like feel, even in a small space.
Space-Saving Fixtures
Choosing the right fixtures is crucial in small bathroom renovations. Opt for compact or multi-functional fixtures that won’t overwhelm the space. For example, a wall-mounted toilet can free up valuable floor space.
Corner sinks, or vanities are also great options for fitting a sink into a tight area. Similarly, consider installing a shower instead of a bathtub. If a tub is a must-have, look for a smaller, freestanding design.
Curbless showers with glass partitions look sleek and help create a seamless flow, visually enlarging the space.
Minimalist Design Approach
Adopting a minimalist approach to your bathroom renovation is key to maximizing space in a small area.
It doesn’t mean sacrificing style—minimalism embraces clean lines, uncluttered surfaces, and modern fixtures.
Keeping decorations and accessories to a minimum allows the space to feel more open and serene.
Hire Professionals For Custom Build Bathroom
Expert bathroom renovators can guide you through design choices, provide solutions tailored to your unique space, and ensure the installation is executed perfectly.
Custom build bathrooms are an investment; professionals can help bring your vision to life while avoiding costly mistakes.
Whether smart storage, custom fixtures, or maximizing vertical space, professional designers and contractors have the experience and expertise to transform even the smallest bathroom into a stylish and functional retreat.
Conclusion
A modern custom bathroom renovation for small spaces requires creativity and smart design choices.

Small Space, Big Luxury: Maximizing Your Condo's Potential
Living in a condo doesn’t mean compromising on luxury. In Singapore, where space is often a premium, it’s all about making smart design choices to bring out the best in a compact area. With a few clever touches and a focus on efficient layout, even a small condo can feel like a high-end retreat.
Here's how to transform your condo into a space that balances luxury and functionality.
Using Open Layouts and Smart Dividers for a Spacious Feel
An open layout can work wonders for a small luxury condo interior design. By reducing walls or bulky dividers, you allow natural light to flow freely, which instantly makes the space feel larger and more inviting.
Instead of traditional walls, try:
Glass partitions: They add a sense of separation without blocking light.
Open shelving: It creates visual boundaries while offering storage and display options.
Sliding doors or pocket doors: A great way to close off spaces when needed without taking up valuable floor area.
Choosing Multi-functional Furniture for Style and Utility
In a luxury condo, every piece of furniture should serve multiple purposes. Opting for multi-functional pieces means you’ll save on space while adding a touch of practicality and elegance.
Consider furniture like:
Sofa beds or daybeds: Perfect for when you need an extra sleeping area for guests.
Extendable dining tables: Adjusts easily for daily use or for hosting guests.
Ottomans with storage: Doubles as seating and a place to store items.
This approach not only keeps your space uncluttered but also maximizes your condo’s potential in a stylish way.
Adding Luxurious Touches to Your Condo Bathroom
No condo feels complete without a luxurious bathroom that enhances the overall living experience. Working with a professional toilet renovation contractor can help transform even the smallest bathroom into a sleek, spa-like escape. From installing high-end fixtures to using reflective surfaces, there are many ways to make the bathroom feel spacious and chic.
Popular choices for a luxe bathroom renovation include:
Rain showers and waterfall faucets: Instantly elevate the bathing experience.
Mirrored cabinets or wall-to-wall mirrors: Reflect light and make the room feel larger.
Floating vanities: Free up floor space and add a modern, airy vibe.
A beautifully designed bathroom can add a luxurious element to your condo and be a refreshing place to unwind.
Creating Storage Solutions that Blend with Your Condo's Style
In small spaces, clutter can quickly take over. That’s where built-in storage solutions come in, seamlessly integrating storage into the condo’s design without taking up extra space.
Here are some stylish storage ideas:
Built-in wardrobes or cupboards: Perfect for maximizing storage while keeping everything neatly out of sight.
Niches and wall-mounted shelves: Ideal for storing smaller items or displaying décor without adding bulk.
Under-bed storage or pull-out drawers: A smart solution for storing seasonal items or extra linens.
These storage options not only keep your condo organized but also contribute to the clean, streamlined look of a luxury condo interior design.
Setting the Right Mood with Lighting and Colors
Lighting and color schemes have a huge impact on how spacious and luxurious your condo feels. Use layered lighting to add depth, while opting for colors that reflect light and make the space feel open.
Consider these lighting and color tips:
Soft, neutral color palettes: White, beige, or light gray can make any room feel larger.
Accent lighting: Add elegance with pendant lights, wall sconces, or LED strips that highlight architectural features.
Mirrored and reflective surfaces: These not only add light but also enhance the luxurious feel.
Strategic lighting combined with the right colors creates a warm, inviting, and sophisticated atmosphere in your condo.
Infusing Your Condo with Personal Touches for a Unique Look
A luxurious condo feels complete when it reflects your personality and tastes. From artwork to carefully chosen décor, infuse personal elements that make the space truly yours.
Think about adding:
Statement art pieces: Draw the eye and add character.
Textures and textiles: Throws, cushions, and rugs create a cozy, layered look.
Greenery or small indoor plants: Add vibrancy and freshness to the interior.
These finishing touches are what make a condo feel like home, bringing comfort and individuality into a beautifully designed space.
Designing a small luxury condo interior design doesn’t have to be complicated. With the right layout, furniture, and finishing touches, you can create a space that’s both stylish and highly functional. Embrace the luxury of living in a condo that’s designed to its fullest potential, right here in Singapore.

Top Bathroom Basin Trends for 2024: Elevate Your Space
As we step into 2024, the world of interior design continues to evolve, and the bathroom is no exception. One of the key elements that can dramatically enhance your bathroom’s aesthetic is the basin. Whether you’re renovating or simply looking to refresh your space, staying ahead of the trends can help you create a stylish sanctuary. Here are the top bathroom basin trends for 2024 that you should consider.
1. Minimalist Designs
Minimalism remains a strong trend in bathroom design for 2024. Clean lines, simple shapes, and uncluttered spaces are essential. Look for basins that feature understated designs, such as rectangular or oval shapes in neutral colors. These basins not only provide a sleek appearance but also complement various styles, from contemporary to Scandinavian.
2. Natural Materials
Sustainability is more important than ever, and the trend towards using natural materials is on the rise. Basins crafted from materials like stone, wood, or recycled materials add a touch of nature to your bathroom. They bring warmth and texture, creating a serene atmosphere. Consider a basin made from natural stone with unique veining or a reclaimed wood vanity for a truly organic feel.
3. Bold Colors
While neutral tones dominate many bathroom designs, 2024 sees a shift towards bolder colors. Deep blues, rich greens, and even vibrant reds are making an appearance in bathroom basins. These colors can serve as a focal point in your bathroom, adding personality and character. Pair a bold basin with softer hues in your decor to create a balanced look.
4. Vessel Basins
Vessel basins continue to be a popular choice for homeowners looking to make a statement. These basins sit above the counter and come in various shapes and materials, including ceramic, glass, and metal. Their elevated design not only adds visual interest but also makes for easy installation. Opt for a sculptural vessel basin to elevate your bathroom’s overall style.
5. Integrated Technology
As smart homes become increasingly common, integrating technology into bathroom design is a key trend for 2024. Look for basins that feature touchless faucets, LED lighting, and even built-in speakers. These technological enhancements can elevate your bathroom experience, offering convenience and a modern touch.
6. Vintage and Retro Styles
Nostalgia plays a significant role in design trends, and this year, vintage and retro styles are making a comeback. Think classic pedestal sinks, ornate detailing, and pastel colors. These basins evoke a sense of charm and character, making them perfect for creating a cozy, inviting atmosphere.
