I submit to the internet since this game won't leave my brain. The following statement. Curly is a flying monkey and Jimmie Johns is the wicked witch.
Hear me out. A flying monkey is a term for an enabler to a narcissist/abuser. Someone who assists them by performing their actions, providing them outs, generally supporting their actions without seeing what they're capable of or how they're hurting people.
In the wizard of oz (the OG book version) the monkeys were goofy and stupid and they played a prank on a witch who cursed them to obey anybody wearing a golden cap. The wicked witch of the west found the cap and used the monkeys to conquer the western quadrant of Oz. When Dorothy finds the cap, she puts it on and realizes she can control the monkeys. She asks them to take her friends over the mountains and listens to where the monkeys were coming from.
When it's done, Dorothy gives Glinda the cap and she tells the monkeys they must never play pranks again before giving the monkeys the cap and setting them free.
flying monkeys in the real world aren't that easy to sway. A lot of them *know* how bad shit is in the situation and play along with it, big chunks of them might clue into it and then use it to their advantage. Other monkeys might just be so far gone and codependent they'll never pick up on it.
There's a lot I could say about therapy and dealing with flying monkeys. I don't know enough to do that though. That's work for individuals to do with their loved ones and therapists and healthy circles. that's not for this post or tumblr. Know only if that's your situation, I wish you well and know and believe you have the strength to fix it. I'm just making a point about a character.
Without going into too much detail or providing definition I might get *wrong* - the fact is that if the flying monkey is a decent person, eventually they'll be forced to face the abuser and either embrace what they're saying and just go deeper or they'll have to start their own journey of trying to grab the golden cap. The fact is that abusers choose their army either because they see kindred spirits or because they see people who are weaker than they are that they can exploit.
That's the genius of this game, just how accurate they got everything for me about a wicked witch and his flying monkey ( we don't speak jockey shorts name in this house.) because it paints everything pretty clearly. It's very clear that Curly's a decent guy - enough of a decent dude for Anya to trust with her feelings initially before she realized that she was Dorothy and he was a flying monkey. People very clearly liked him.
It actually makes you wonder just how much dirty work Curly did for beef jerkey though. How many people the guy defended the wicked witch to, how many people who he just lied to about the guy. That said, if you very clearly inspire enough trust for people to confess to you that kind of thing - I think we're leaning towards the kind of flying monkey that's considerably weaker than the wicked witch who picked him.
Which is the absolute fucking *genius* of this game. If you do the work and you're like "well I want to know more about how this works, and you look up abusers and enablers and you realize this it opens up just how things work. Even if Curly was the kind of guy who was very clearly into everything Jockey Shart was doing he falls into the codependent trap I've hitched my wagon to the wrong horse (aha. ha. ha.) and pays for it.
I can't excuse Curly's actions. No one should excuse Curly's actions. I'm also not a dev so I don't know the intentions but looking at the narrative I can speculate that - my dude was a meathead gym bro golden retriever who was probably super codependent (super super codependent.) along with naive and unwilling to admit his own failings. especially the latter. IDK based on the narrative I don't think it was motivated by his own pride - I think he was just genuinely meathead decent golden retriever gymbro who didn't deal with his super weak sense of self and identity and codependency and then y'know had a clue by four hit him like an asteroid in the face.
He was the wicked witch of the tulpar's flying monkey until he caught Just Ugly Pants out and realized that his own life was threatened because he refused to see the red flags and warning signs. And he paid for it. What a great fucking game.
Also can we talk about Anya managing to keep a man *alive* like that when he was probably fused to the fucking machine? What fucking medical school was stupid enough to let her go? She's literally keeping the man alive.
#mouthwashing game#curly mouthwashing#we don't say the j word's name#he's the wicked witch of the tulpar with his friendly flying monkey#seriously I don't think I've ever hated a character that much#and William Afton is one of my favorite fucking characters in media#I will take the red flag and L with that one#but at least I can die happy because I'm not Jockey Sharts#Curly bruh I don't know what your childhood was like#but if your buddy is hinting at selling you his red pill podcast and it makes you uncomfy but you don't feel comfortable telling him#*TELL HIM THAT IT SUCKS AND HE NEEDS TO FUCK OFF*#also that piece of artwork where Jerkey would call it X oh fuck yeah he would#he'd be talking about how Elon Muskox is a great man#poor Anya oh my god

Hey mate, why are you attracted to the rabbit man? The green one. What is interesting about him to you? I've been curious (and slightly afraid) for a while and thought I'd ask.
alright tldr; he is a combination of all of my favorite things in media when it comes ta a character. hes a monster, hes a dilf, hes a bunny, hes got a nice voice, hes evil, hes a robot, hes interesting ta me beyond a simp level which really sells it i think (or its the bunny thing i really like bunny characters skjdgkdjgkdf). there's so much you can talk abt with him. theres so much you can do. hes an evil fucked up scientist who loves his kids so much he tries ta reverse death itself ta bring them back. he manages ta die and then bring himself back ta life through pure spite and grit and determination ta "come back". he fucking survives a fire and then assumedly rebuilds himself which under than assumption (even though scraptrap is butt ugly) that would take an incredible level of ingenuity. literally how could i not love him. hes this twisted fucking mutilation of humanity melded with metal. he willingly gave up his humanity ta become this horrible fucking thing and relishes in it. ive seen ppl talk about the trans metaphor and yeah!! that totally applies here too (i hc spring/william afton as trans cough cough). what i really like especially is how he does all these evil fucked up things and feels no remorse about any of it like!! sometimes storylines will try ta make the villain sympathetic but fuck that!! let him be unabashedly evil!! even though i think his motive for killing kids was ta save his own, its still super evil and fucked up that he took those kids from other families in the first place!! and its so cool!! hes repeatedly inflicting the same trauma on other parents he felt himself with no remorse!!!!!! talk about irony!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the story telling with him can be so good!!!
#springtrap hates being alive ouuu but he loves it#DO YOU UNDERSTAND????#HES SO FUCKED UP#ANOTHER REASON WHY I LOVE HIM#HES JUST SOME FUCKED UP GUY WHO FACED THE CONSEQUENCES BUT ENDED UP KIND OF LIKING THE CONSEQUENCES???#RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH#spring would use it/its pronouns#i think he would also be a demiboy and bi lol#springtraaaapppp i love you springtraaaaaaapppp#spacie splains#hes SO much fun ta analyze i literally have a whole thread in one server im in where i just dump brain thoughts sometimes#havent done it in awhile b/c uhh the simp thoughts get in the way unfortunately SKJFSKJFDSJDF

I WATCHED THE FNAF MOVIE!!! SPOILERS AHEAD!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Alright time for my honest thoughts on the fnaf movie? Honestly..? I enjoyed it, I think some of the problems I have with a lot of newer fnaf games/media shine through but overall I think it was a solid movie. Thereās some things I wouldāve done differently personally but it wasnāt bad. Iām okay with it being our fnaf movie. I have a few things as a diehard fnaf fan since the first game that I am a little salty or upset about, but itās not really the movieās fault. Itās kinda just how fnaf is nowadays. Some for the better, some for the worst. So some pros (in my opinion. Keep that in mind and if you did really enjoy it thatās great! Like I said itās a pretty solid movie I just have a frustrations with it or questions about it).
Pros!
I really liked all the characters I think the writing was pretty strong for the most part! A few parts were a little shaky but for the most part I really liked all the characters we got. I liked the characterization of the animatronics especially. I know a lot of people are complaining about āthe pillow fort sceneā but I actually liked how they did that. I can understand where are coming from with that (i could admittedly see how for some people it takes away from the horror aspect for later scenes) but I like that they gave the animatronics childlike behavior and made them a little sympathetic. I thought it was really cute. I get where people are coming from with that but tbh I think fnaf fansļæ¼ villainize the dead kids WAY too much. So it was nice to have them acknowledge them being kids and acting like that.
The visuals and set were GORGEOUS!!! This cinematically had some really strong scenes and I could gush about the practical effects for hours. The animatronics looked beautiful and I have almost no complaints visually about it. I also liked some of the YouTube cameos and how they werenāt too in your face. The only one I found kind of immersion breaking was matpatās to be honest. Just cause his line felt kind of forced but it was a quick cameo so I can forgive that. Truthfully I didnāt even realize it was him till he said that so.
William fucking Afton bro.. Oh my god when I tell you Matthew Lillard absolutely ate this role up.. like my god. I knew he was gonna be good but he was absolutely iconic. Heās probably one of my favorite depictions of William Afton to date. His delivery, his mannerisms. It was (chefās kiss). The springlock suit (WHICH ILL BE SO FR I DID NOT THINK THEY WERE GOING TO PUT THE SPRINGLOCK SUIT IN THE MOVIE MY JAW DROPPED WHEN THAT HAPPENED) scene is probably one of my favorites in the movie. When Cassidy(?) watches him just like dying and closes the door on him. Chills. I though that whole part was really well done. I wish the springlock sounds were a little louder but regardless I think they found a way to capture the horror of the springlocks while not making it too intense. Some people will find that as a con but I personally think itās a pro because I would say this movie is a general audience film. Thereās some very disturbing or unsettling parts but I think this is actually somewhat of a good gateway to horror film for younger audiences.
As goofy and kinda dumb as the cupcake looked at times I honestly love that he got so much screen time. I love that guy. Cupcake is underrated even if a bit silly.
I lost my shit when the FNAF 1 song played at the credits. I was SO excited. Iām really happy for TLT that his music got up on the big screen too. I cant imagine how cool that is.
Now for in my opinion what the cons are:
My biggest issue with this movie is the plot. And I know a lot of people are going to say āitās a different timeline!ā Or āitās based on the booksā. I would have no problem with that except for the fact that we still know nothing about the Afton family after all these years. I was really hoping (although I was aware it was going to be a different storyline) they wouldāve kept Abby, Michael, and Garett Aftons. Because even if I just isolate the movie itself from the games, it just makes more sense. The way William acts when he first reads Mikeās name, The fact William wouldāve had to gone out of his way to go to Nebraska and specifically target Garett. The film takes place in Minnesota, the pizzeria is there. Why is William Afton in Nebraska? It doesnāt make sense. Now, the only OTHER explanation I can think of for this is that Michael, Abby, and Garret are Emilys or the movieās Emily equivalents. Even though I have some problems with this I will say I donāt entirely hate Vanessa being an Afton in this. Itās an interesting idea and the dynamic is alright. Truthfully I wouldnāt have a problem with any of this but this is a problem that I keep having with FNAF as a whole. FNAF keeps actively refusing to acknowledge any Afton that isnāt William (and sometimes Elizabeth in the books). And I donāt understand why? I donāt understand the aversion especially considering Michael was the protagonist for so many of the games. He is SUCH an interesting and important character and I was so deeply disappointed to find out he wasnāt an Afton in this universe because we finally had some kind of characterization of him (that I really loved tbh). I think itās just frustrating as a longtime fan there are so many questions that go completely unanswered for no reason. Knowing things like the crying childās name is something that has no real relevance on the plot and yet we still are refused a direct answer. I donāt mind a bit of mystery but when itās been almost a decade and we still know nothing about half the gamesā main protagonist. I have a little bit of an issue with this tbh. I wasnāt actually expecting this movie to have Mike and Abby be Aftons actually, but the way WATCHING the movie led me to start to believe that got me excited. Maybe thatās just a me problem.. Then the reveal happened and I was left kind of scratching my head. I think FNAF does that a lot, to me at least.
I also think having Vanessa be an Afton, although interesting is kind of a disservice to her character. Vanessa is a character I have found really interesting since she was first announced. I donāt have an issue with her being in this movie at all. In fact I really liked her in this movie. If youāre gonna do a different timeline thing then thatās fine. But I think itās kind of a disservice to her to make her an Afton, I like the idea of there being another fnaf character who stands on her own. I wish in security breach they kept alot of the FNAF:AR stuff cannon that was established. I feel like they did nothing with her character in Security Breach which SUCKED because I think her whole character is so interesting and I wouldāve loved to have seen more of a characterization of her in this movie. I hate this idea of making everyone related to Afton it feels lazy. The theories with Vanessa and Gregory being Aftons I really donāt like. Theyāre fine characters on their own, if you want to focus on Aftons then just focus on the Aftons! Thereās so many questions unanswered about them that you easily could still do something with them. Iāve said it once and Iāll say it again I have no problem with Security Breach existing EXCEPT that it should be itās own story with no relation to the old storyline. It couldāve been a really solid Sci-Fi type game especially with the DLC that came out. Afton shouldnāt be there.
I keep talking about this problem with āmodern day fnafā so what is it? What is the problem that affects even this movie? Well Iāll tell you, FNAF constantly changes. Things are things added to the lore making it more confusing and convoluted (which to be fair has been a problem wayyy before SB even with some of my favorite titles in the series), and imo it makes it almost impossible for new fans to join. As an older fan who is fairly active indulging in FNAF I can barely can keep up. I know a lot of people like the convoluted and insane lore and to some extent so do I. But itās gotten to the point where I feel a little bit of disappointment after each game and a little after the movie. Iām okay with mystery and theorizing, in fact itās one of my favorite parts about FNAF! But having been here for so long and I still feel like we never get any answers or weāre ALWAYS left with more answers. It gets frustrating. I donāt want everything to be answered but lately every FNAF game and piece of media has left me with more questions than answers. To the point I think it affects the main plot. I also want to say itās very hard to keep up with everything. I donāt have the money for the books or the time to read all the books and I donāt understand the whole āitās not canon to the game lore but weāre gonna put it in there anyways!ā. I donāt know. To be honest I wouldnāt have AS much as a problem with it if it was actually separate, but even though itās stated to be it keeps seeping into the game storyline. I donāt necessarily think itās bad to bring something like the mimic in, but itās kind of upsetting when I watched the movie and felt there were more references to the books than the games. I was disappointed there was no āhello? Hello?ā Or freddy nose honk, or just a few things that are really iconic to the game. I thought the sparky being canon thing was awesome though! That was a real treat. But I do think the silver eyes was a good idea to take inspiration from. But again I also donāt understand why they wouldnāt just make a silver eyes movie? Idk I guess itās just frustrating having been here so long and if someone asked me to explain FNAF thereās really no way of giving a set summary. Hell, even most of the āloreā explanation videos half of it isnāt even canon or confirmed. Itās just speculation or āa theoryā. I love this franchise a lot and I guess itās just kind of upsetting for it to be a struggle now to understand and keep up with everything. Especially when I used to find it really fun to try and do so, and now I just feel like thereās no payoff to it. And that itās just way too confusing and overwhelming. Maybe there never really was a payoff? Or maybe it always an issue? I mean FNAF has had like 4 different āendingsā and then kept going. Idk I think just.. having been waiting for this movie for 8 years and it leaving me with a somewhat similar feeling after I finished security breach, Iām a little disappointed. That being saidā¦
I will say, overall the movie itself was a little better than i expected to be honest. Which Iām very happy about My expectations for this movie were to have a good time and have a fun campy horror flick. I pleasantly surprised in a lot of areas and most of my gripes with it are kind of just my gripes with how fnaf has been as a franchise. All my criticisms of this movie and franchise are out of love and wanting the best for this series. Seriously, this series means the world to me. Most of my really close and best friends I met through FNAF, and some of my fondest memories are FNAF related. Even if the movie and franchise arenāt perfect and I have a lot of frustrations with it, Iām glad after 8 years of hearing about this movie I finally got to see it. Kid me would be absolutely over the moon right now. A part of me is. Despite its flaws Iām really proud to see how much this franchise has grown. FNAF youāre not perfect, not even close, but you mean a lot to me. Im glad you made it to the big screen after all this time :>

In honor of Fatherās Dayā¦
Itās time to celebrate all the fictional men I confided in more than my actual father (the rat bastard)
(A bit too long so Iām putting it below the cut)
1.Ā Professor Henry Hidgens
-Up first simply because heās the most prominent as of yet
-Yeah, heās reclusive, a bit nutty, a bit paranoid, but at least he seems like the kind of guy to keep promises (unlike someone)
-I have gotten two comfort letters from him, a fact I do not regret sharing
-seems to care a lot about people he grows close to
-One of the best apocolyptic buddies
2. William Afton
-so hear me out
-most of him being a good parent was based around my own AUs (Aftonās Hallucinations, Father and Son, Remnant Shots)
-I have paid twelve dollars to get a comfort letter from this child murderer
-Heās been moved to the back burner as of late
-skrunkly
3. Koro Sensei
-I didnāt realize he was a father figure until a hefty three years after I watched the show
-I cannot explain the many ways in which he and Assassination Classroom have helped me and how dear the show is to me
-It was my first legitimate anime
-justā¦justā¦he fucking cares
-admittedly he has brought me to tears
(Despite my daddy issues I have like two important fatherly characters lmao)
~Honorary Mentions~
Onto another section - Favorite Dads in Media (Mainly Starkid)
Bill Woodward
-look Iām sorry a divorce canāt be one-sided he had to have some part in it even unintentionally
-He learns to respect boundaries at the end of Watcher World so you know
-reminds me of my own dad at times
Jack Bauer Dikrats
-too much like my own father
-emotionally unintelligent but he knows when to be serious
-I wanna hug him
Jaāfar
(I canāt upload a picture but you get the point)
-selfless, a kind man, wants whatās best for the kingdom
-a good father (figure) to The Princess
-teaches good life lessons
And thatās it! Hope you enjoyed me throwing myself out there in the form of pesonal comfort characters! See you some other time!
#pretend I actually posted this on father's day#Father's Day#Father figures#fictional father figures#jack bauer dikrats#Henry Hidgens#Bill Woodward#koro sensei#Ja'far#William Afton

fnaf? (obligatory) for the meme
also homestuck?
blorbo (favorite character): i am so obsessed with michael afton. when i learned the player character of sister location was the shithead brother from fnaf 4 and the son of the purple guy my third eye opened and i got so invested in the series. mike did that.
scrunkly (my baby): HELPY helpy is my angel and i love him. seeing him brings me joy. in pizza sim when you fuck up the ballpit minigame and helpy breaks his back i cry laughing every time
scrimblo bimblo (underrated/underappreciated fave): i think all my faves are probably properly rated and appreciated. except like. the entirety of fnaf 4. (yeah yeah i know everyone thinks the nightmare animatronics are overdesigned and "not scary anymore" because of it but also i think that most people agree that 4 is the scariest in the series so. which is it. i see Nightmare and i piss myself. what do you want.)
glup shitto (obscure fave): Plushtrap. not necessarily as like. his own character or anything but i think in the context of fnaf 4 plushtrap can hold some really interesting metaphorical weight. like... youre playing as the son of a serial killer, and there's a part in the game where you can be spared some torment if you're able to perfectly anticipate the movements of a monster??? Hm.
poor little meow meow (āproblematicā fave): they should give gregory a real gun and he should get to shoot as many animatronics as he wants.
horse plinko (character I would torment for fun, for whatever reason): im putting william afton in the plinko as we speak
eeby deeby (character I would send to superhell): at the bottom of the plinko is the gate to superhell but it does nothing. he always comes back baby!
for homestuck:
blorbo (favorite character): DAVESPRITE. look im a big dave stan. all versions of dave. alpha, beta, candy, meat. all of them. but davesprite is very special to me. the original blorbo. imagine leaving behind your doomed timeline so you can stop past you from making your same mistakes and then you just have to watch a different version of yourself succeed. and also youre a bird now
scrunkly (my baby): HARRY ANDERSON EGBERT. i love john and roxyās gay ass musical theater son. what a cute guy
scrimblo bimblo (underrated/underappreciated fave): Yiffany Longstocking Lalonde Harley. a lot of people hated her but a lot of people in the homestuck fandom are filled with hate and couldnt stop consuming a piece of media they didnt like. i loved Yiffy and i wish i could have seen what her deal was.
glup shitto (obscure fave): Tagora Gorjek, from Friendsim! this one should come as no surprise to people who played friendsim lmao. of course i love the slimy unethical lawyer with āused care salesmanā energy. i also liked the hot clown. also unsurprising
poor little meow meow (āproblematicā fave): I really liked HS^2 Dirk! I know a lot of people were Big Mad about it and thought it was reversing all his character development from HS, but personally i found him really grating in HS and really compelling in HS^2. Like. idk realizing/deciding that the thing that will save your whole universe is someone needs to be a villain and youre the only one really qualified to do it, salvation through damnation, i will martyr myself by never letting anyone know im a martyr. its good shit. i love that.
horse plinko (character I would torment for fun, for whatever reason): I really love Eridan and I really love Equius but i also wanna put them each in a jar and shake them around
eeby deeby (character I would send to superhell): I hate Caliborn, and not in a fun haha way but like he genuinely made me so uncomfortable that I stopped reading Homestuck for like 9 months.

If you have any send me your favorite song headcanons for fnaf characters! Time period accuracy is not required because finding 70s and 80s music that fits That Specific Vibe of a character can be rlly hard
I'll share a few of my own:
William Afton: Ruler of Everything, I know that's a really stereotypical thing but I really do think that song fits him, or, not really a SONG, but Run, Rabbit, Run
Henry Emily: you're gonna have to not fucking ask but 21 Guns or Crossfire
Michael Afton (though I know he's an Emily in your AU): How Soon is Now
Elizabeth Afton: Swan Lake, Hey Bunny, Bandaids, or for something more upbeat and in her tim period, Heart of Glass
CC (Cassidy in mine): Heart for Brains, maybe Rocket Man, I can imagine him hearing that from Michael's music and liking it a lot.
Gregory: no idea, maybe Blame it on the Kids?
Vanny: Fucking anything by Madonna bro tell me Vanny doesn't fucking vibe to Madonna. But favorite SONG I think Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land or Oh No!, ironically both by Marina
Vanessa: I dont even know tbh
Millie: Uhhhh I think she'd listen to The Cure and MCR. Her favorite song is Teenagers.
Dylan: Also Teenagers
Brooke: Orange Juice or Teen Idle
Sarah: Ummmm... again I'm not sure lol
Eleanor: Oops, I Did It Again or Circus
Maurice: Let it Be
OHHHHHH I LOVE ASKS LIKE THIS
Most of my favorite songs I associate with the CTW gang, cuz haha main brainrot comfort media go brrrrrr, but music is also a huge comfort of mine so one thing I love to do is imagine which songs would fit whatever characters or media I like, so asks like this are always welcome!
Some of mine would be:
Millie: Love Bites (So Do I) by Halestorm cuz that's my vc for her lol
Sarah: girls by girl in red cuz that's also my vc for her
CTW Funtime Freddy: just about any song from the Beetlejuice musical, or I Can't Decide by Scissor Sisters an obvious choice
Dylan: 21st Century Vampire by Huddy because all of his songs radiate the same energy as him
Brooke: Cloud 9 by Beach Bunny it just describes her relationship with her boyfriends perfectly
David: Stacy by Quinn XCII if you changed one of the lyrics to "you can call me anything, oh, anything you want, just don't call me 'son'." that would fit his relationship with his dad perfectly, the rest of the song being him navigating his way through his relationship with Dylan and Brooke
Eleanor: Welcome To The Show by Britt Nicole or Love Me Dead by Ludo
Maurice: any EDEN song cuz that's my main vc for him, or lonely by MGK since that's my second vc for him, or Older by Sasha Alex Sloan strangely enough just because of his relationship with his parents

Please Scott gimme some canon-afton nuance beyond "this man is evil" because unless we finally get an explanation for why he seeks immortality he's literally just evil for evils sake and I cannot abide that for one of my favorite villains.
Let me make this clear! Evil for evils sake is still very possible! The High evolutionary in GotG 3 tortured animals to make "a better world" and felt no remorse. He was truly the "hero of his own story". Up until recently when I discovered they gave a backstory to Judge Doom I would have said *Doom* was a great "evil for evils sake" villain. His motives are clear. He wants to build a freeway and destroy LA'a public transport system and he'll do anything.
The pursuit of immortality without an explanation to me of *why* he's doing it makes him a crappy villain and the "I'm doing it for my kids" angle provided that. Idgaf if he was doing it because they were *his* and he saw them as property or what.
I'm of the mind with all the new information people are fucking leaking because they feel entitled to spoilers he was one of the people who almost died/died in the springlock incidents. Scott dropped his springlock scars for a reason and if he saw death that gives him a pretty solid motive. Bonus points if he sees himself as a hero "saving" the kids by keeping them with him forever. Even scarecrow however who people are comparing him to, has more nuance than this man.
If canon-afton had done the kind of awful things to kids people do when they don't just deserve death it's our duty as humans and decent people to stop them - *before* killing them, I'd be out.
Scott has confirmed that's not the case.
If canon-afton just gets up, takes an evil poop, drinks evil coffee, checks his evil in the basement, eats an evil brekkie, goes to his evil restaurant and does evil, then eats an evil slice of pizza before going home and giving evil kisses to his family and then watching evil TV and taking an evil pee before evil sleep...I question my sanity because that's crap writing.
I hope people don't blorbo woobie the mimic into nothing because it's a test of faith that people don't simp for him and Vanessa and pick the white guy.
Speaking of! Vanessa! See I would worry less about evil brekkie William afton if we'd seen Vanessa beyond her tapes! Who was she before she was brainwashed?
I hope she was a world class bitch. I hope she was a baby Karen. I hope she threw her weight around, yelled at Tape Girl. I hope she dreamt of punching Luis and felt unable to say anything but that glitch uses his presence to convince her that his malevolence would help her. I hope she was a good on the inside and occasional outside self centered person who learned how easily that could be stripped away and had a hero arc like Mike. I hope glitch trying to teach her to love violence made her realize she had done awful things An asshole but not 100% a dick.
Anyway the point of this post is to cheer on original creators taking this sad box story and making their own art out of it because people insist that William Afton who is a shitty person and probably has evil brekkie...just be evil without a reason to *be evil*. You can make a compelling shitlord character by giving him a reason...and just having him make a crap choice. Like he woke up an evil baby and takes evil naps? No. He liked bunnies until the day his bunny died then he blamed the kid next door and he discovered pushing him into traffic was cool. I'd like to think we as a society would be more media literate.
Cheers to original creators making original comics and ocs with this basic outline about broken families and entertainment. Cheers to the writers exploring it in a healthy manner and encouraging others to do the same by giving them a sense of community.
Jeers to the theorists who just want concrete explanations without thought. Completely omitting emotion or a desire for humanity, completely thinking with logic, I doubt anyone *that evil* would be able to get away with it. Even with those who exist in real life there are very clearly people who see them for who they are in their close circles not just cops and outside forces.
#fnaf theories#this rant felt good#but im also an old asshole and i expect it to do nothing#but goddamn it felt good#indie comics#so many good writers and artists taking this stuff and building off it fuck yeah
