KazuKaoru: Everlasting - An Essay
Tumblr media
(This art belongs to amamaiiya, please go and follow, like, reblog her magnificent works)
What defines a good relationship? What makes fictional couple a good one? Each of these questions can have a different answer depending on the person asked, because it is often that in fiction people prefer something they would never allow themselves in real life. You know how they say, the forbidden fruit is sweet. But personally, I have equal preferences for both. In my honest opinion a good relationship has to be, above everything else, a healthy one and consist of trust, mutual understanding and support, where both partners have things in common, respect one another and don't hold back each other. This is what I saw and liked in a dynamic of Kiryu Kazuma and Sayama Kaoru from Like a Dragon (aka Yakuza) series.
Tumblr media
Some might say they had a rough start, with them being on opposite sides of the law in a world where people are labeled and treated with prejudice. But that is the whole theme of their love story throughout Like a Dragon 2. It is a relationship that defies what people assume as normal, where characters are developing to see through the superficial and realize that despite their surface level differences, there is much more in common on a deeper level.
Tumblr media
They are both humans, shackled by outside perception of them and because of it they might feel they have to act a certain way instead of being themselves. But being themselves is exactly what they manage to achieve around each other, which is something that even Haruka notices about her Uncle Kaz. Isn't that the best kind of thing that can be in a relationship? To be yourself without hiding it and be loved for it? KazuKaoru is that kind of pairing.
Tumblr media
Isn't it ironic that he turned to be that someone? Interesting camera work here is that while he says this, it zooms at him. Not very subtle, but nice foreshadowing nonetheless.
Often I come across an assumption that KazuKaoru is rushed. Not one bit. We are talking about two grown up people with experiences, who know or at least feel what they want from life and their partner. It is hard to determine when exactly Kiryu fell for Kaoru, but Kaoru definitely starting falling for Kiryu at the rooftop scene after date. But that scene leaves us with an impression that her feelings are unrequited. She wants to stay with him to watch the stars, but he politely refuses and asks her to rest. There is a moment of hurt and disappointment.
Tumblr media
Potential of denial is followed up by a scene at New Serena. After Kaoru suffered through shocking discovery and family member loss, she is a mess and her actual real self with all that baggage might not be loveable at all. She confessed to Kiryu about her insecurities and the truth ended up more harmful than she was prepared for. She started crying after saying this line:
Tumblr media
I always read it as her implying something along the lines "you don't need me anymore". With her heart on disaply she is met with silence. But whoever was responsible for this subplot of Yakuza 2 liked to live in a happy land, so we've got this beautiful response from Kiryu that finally showed his true colors and feelings towards Kaoru:
Tumblr media
"I would never think less of you" meaning that he accepts her entirely, with whatever may come her way. He loves Kaoru for the person she is and might be. This is pure, kind and tender form of love that is so easy to enjoy. He makes sure she knows that he doesn't want her away, so he asks her a very important thing to do later:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yakuza and a police officer. Two people on the opposite sides. But both are warriors for justice, upholding same ideals of helping and protecting those in need. They both have power, but use it for good. This is the kind of common ground that can lead to something special and beautiful if they are ever allowed to reunite in later games.
Thankfully Like a Dragon 8 left us with hope. We have a confirmation that Kiryu Kazuma and Sayama Kaoru still have feelings for each other even after 17 years of being apart. This is why I call this essay as Everlasting. Because this is the kind of love they hold for each other, still waiting for a moment where they can be together again.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There is actually a lot more I would have liked to put into words about them. This is my all time favorite video game couple and maybe even my all time favorite OTP. Both characters are outstanding individually and together they are unstoppable. Ultimate power couple whose love story is there to each us a very important lesson in life that we all can take to heart and follow through with it:

QUINNY HELLO!! Its me aleks @yuutito
I have been following both the time travel fic (when I catch you gege) and the asylum one since day one! But I’ve been really shy to make new moots so I haven’t made the effort to come and say hi >.<
But I want to pick your brain about the time travel fic hehe so here I am !!
- since JJK has ended, has your plans for the story changed at all? Like have any plot lines or your planned story been altered by the ending gege gave us?
- since we haven’t met yuuji or megumi or Nobara yet, I’m wondering.. will our MC stop Yuuji from eating the finger? You don’t have to answer but I’m so curious if you will loosely follow JJK storyline or if you will make sweeping changes… vague/nonspoiler answer is ok ^^
- I really like what you did with suguru’s character. I was actually shocked when we met him in the ryokan and he was like “why would I take Rika from Yuta?” I was like OH like we are ACTUALLY making a difference I was so happy 😭 but now I’m here wondering what will kenjaku do if the night parade never happens… I wonder if he’s still in kaoru’s body.. aaaa I have so many questions I’m so very excited you see..
- loosely speaking, I know it’s a reverse harem so MC will have lots of romantic interests, but does MC have romantic feelings for one person or all of them? Or is it more that she’s being swept away in the moment by all these guys? I want to root for an endgame couple (not naming any names, definitely not biased 😌) but I’m also having lots of fun watching MC romance them all!!
- I also really like what you did with Junpei. The eren jaeger hair is a LOOK I’m living for it truly… he looks so handsome in my mind…
Sorry if you’ve answered any of these before but I reread your whole fic last night and my mind is buzzing..
🥰 Ahhhh don’t feel shy about saying Hi I’m just a humble trash gremlin. I’m so glad you’ve continued to like the fics from so early on. 🥺 Thank you for the kind words and support!
These are some interesting questions! Let me see if I can give answers to them 🤭 Potential manga/anime spoilers below. I definitely got carried away responding. These are simply my opinions from watching/reading interviews and the source material.
- since JJK has ended, has your plans for the story changed at all? Like have any plot lines or your planned story been altered by the ending gege gave us?
For a little while I was pretty concerned about how the ending would affect the fic but to be honest almost all the tragedy we are focused around stopping is in the anime (Junpei, Haibara, Nanami, Suguru, Toji, Yuji’s Trauma, Childhood trauma for Gumi, Mechamaru, Tsumiki etc etc.). So no changes to the story line based off of the manga ending. That actually goes for all my fics. Phew.😅
There will be sweeping changes while loosely following the storyline. 😅 MC will be doing her damndest to avoid Yuji chowing on the finger. That’s all I’ll say on that.
I feel like I need to explain how I see Suguru’s character to respond to this. Suguru is such a fascinating character. Even if you think early intervention could have stopped his whole “Monkey” era. He has to have something innately inside him that is broken for him to be able to flip that hard (Nurture vs Nature argument). Yes he goes through extreme trauma but lots of people go through extreme trauma and don’t become racially charged serial killers.
Tumblr media
In the show he goes from (arguably) Lawful Good to Chaotic Evil. In WICYG I want to explore Geto as a Chaotic Neutral.
Why didn’t Suguru even THINK of taking Rika from Yuta in WICYG? This stems from my analysis in his canon choices. Some of the decisions Geto makes in JJK 0 frankly don’t make sense if he wanted to achieve his goals of a non-sorcerer free world. Suguru is very intelligent and capable of understanding others deeply and in canon manipulating them.
I think in JJK 0 Geto was fucking exhausted by having to bare the weight of the world on his shoulders but felt totally pigeonholed into his choices and was past the point of no return. Geto knew what would goad Gojo into killing him. Targeting young children, attacking Gojo’s students, declaring a public war so Gojo couldn’t back out. Geto gave Gojo no choice but to kill him. Maybe he wasn’t fully cognizant of making that decision but I think he did. Geto could have easily killed Yuta and Stolen Rika when Toge and Yuta encounter Geto at the abandoned mall. He didn’t do it because he didn’t want to.
The WICYG Geto can’t even fathom murdering a young sorcerer with potential just to become more powerful himself. We will get more into these choices as Suguru’s story progresses!
Reader x all is the ending. I’ve thought about it a lot. This was the first thing I needed to establish before starting the story. How to have a believable happy harem ending. Trust in me 🙏
- I also really like what you did with Junpei. The eren jaeger hair is a LOOK I’m living for it truly… he looks so handsome in my mind…
I needed him to have a hairdo with his forehead exposed because it’s a visible sign of readers success in Jupei’s story so far. He was never bullied to the point of cigarettes being put out on his face. Go reader! Also Man buns 🙌 Now I need to pay someone to draw him like that hehe I’m glad you approve.
Thank you for all the questions and kind words and sorry for the rambling. I enjoyed responding ❤️

Hi, Neon, just found your older ask here https://www.tumblr.com/neonscandal/700397520113876992/hiif-you-dont-mind-can-i-ask-something-from?source=share
Now, after 2 years, do you want to add something for the answer? Have you know it yet about the news? I'm still sad when I read that BNHA will be over in the next 5 chapters. Whatever happen, I'm grateful and will always love BKDK !!
Also, do you mind if I ask the same ask (same format : strength, weakness & dynamic) as that person above for Satosugu, Matchblosoom and Asheiji?
I have been sitting on this, and a few other asks since I've been slammed at work while still trying to make art on the side so I appreciate you hanging in there. 💖 At this point, the end of MHA has come and gone but my love lives on.
Tumblr media
I will always find fantasy AU gifs appropriate.
⚠️ Spoiler warning through end of MHA manga.
TBH I find a lot of what I wrote to still be spot on, likely by design since I was trying to avoid spoilers at the time so I was indirectly speaking to observations we've now seen play out in the show. The notable difference simply being that the end of MHA brought a bit more exposition into the fact that, more than being number 1, Bakugo's one track mind was solely focused on Izuku.
Without Izuku, his ranking didn't matter. So he fought tooth and nail to get his childhood friend, his rival, his inspiration back into the game. Because they were both always worth saving, they were always making one another better.
Tumblr media
Can I first and foremost just point out that Joe is voiced by Jonah Scott and thus deserving of a little romanticization in general?
⚠️ Spoiler warning through SK8 the Infinity S1.
PERSONALITY
Kojiro Strengths
Shockingly to say, Jo is humble. He might go around preening for the crowd but, as a founding member of S, he has the ability to meet Reki where he is when he is resentful of his own lack of growth because he's been there. Maybe that's more to say that he has a bit more emotional intelligence than he gets credit for, either way, there is more than meets the eye.
Jo is sentimental. He might joke about his restaurant not being a daycare or even banter bitterly with Kaoru but he is demonstrably still a safe space for up and coming skaters and a pillar for his high school friend even if we see he felt a bit left behind when he was younger.
Kojiro Weaknesses
I just find it interesting that he's very honest but only when Kaoru is unconscious. Like, he immediately carries Kaoru away after his big injury and really only alludes to valuing their friendship when Kaoru is knocked out beside him. From what we know of their lore, when Kaoru was looking to Adam, Jo was looking to Kaoru and I wonder how much Kaoru realizes that. Or how much Carla really probably bothers Jo as another thing that replaced him.
Kaoru Strengths
We know expeditiously who the brains behind the operation are. Kaoru is really intelligent, both in terms of picking apart Adam's battle strategy with the Love Hug and in programming Carla. Let us all be glad he went into calligraphy and not straight villainy because he'd be unstoppable I fear. There'd be nothing he couldn't mansplain, manipulate or malewife his way out of.
CHERRY IS SO GENDER. That's all.
Kaoru Weaknesses
He's stuck in the past with his vendetta against Adam. That's not to say that Jo isn't locked in a similar gear but Kaoru's motivation seems more personal and I suppose that informs a lot of fanon lore (and why Cherry will never beat the allegations). Kaoru already stands at the top of the pile of S skaters but he still has something to prove and it eventually costs him.
DYNAMIC
This is a really short series to extrapolate a ton from, to be honest, especially with its lack of a source material. I'm really looking forward to season 2 which will explore more of their lore specifically but any time there's an overture of disparaging banter with an undeniable foundation of affection?? I'm gonna love it. In short:
They keep each other honest - what happens on S, stays on S and, while Kaoru is hell bent on keeping his lives separate (professional vs skater delinquent), it's important to have people in your life who know the real you. All of you.
They maintain a shared goal - ultimately, friends are mirrors and the importance of that is touched on in the above. While part of their mission is to beat Adam, I think another element of that is to bring him back into the fold. Because when a homie starts acting weird, you gotta set him straight.
Tumblr media
My sweet babies.
⚠️ Spoiler warning for Banana Fish series.
PERSONALITY
Ash Strengths
Despite every turn of his life showing him the evil of human nature, Ash still tries to do right by others. He protects the kids in his gang the only way he knows how. That's not to say he was always a good example because he had to do things that were not always on the up and up but he cared deeply about the people in his life and became the "monster" that could protect them, relentlessly.
Resilient almost to a fault, Ash's suffering is frequently short lived, knowing that he doesn't have the time to wallow. Not if it will be a detriment to his cause, not if it puts Eiji at risk, etc. He compartmentalizes his trauma and grief to prioritize the comfort and safety of others because so many people look to him for guidance. He is incredibly driven despite his age and life's challenges. This can be a strength and a weakness
Ash is brilliant. Strategically, skills wise, intellectually, he is brilliant and quick-witted, at that. Had his circumstances been different, who knows who he could have been in the scheme of things.
Ash Weaknesses
He's hardwired for martyrdom. Life taught him what people value about him and he sneers as he uses it to best them. While I love to see him able to turn the tables on so many of his abusers, it still belies that his confidence is more of a shield than anything else. When you're abused, especially continuously, you espouse feelings of guilt, shame and worthlessness. Regardless of one's resilience, you don't walk away unscathed. Regardless of one's intelligence, you still can't separate yourself from thoughts that suggest you're the reason for your abuse. Ash constantly walks into the line of fire, throws himself to the wolves, offers his life in exchange for others, leverages his experience and humiliation to shield the suffering of others'. In the end, despite what he found in Eiji, his decision to be the leopard, as it were, came from the fact that he thought that should be his fate. He did not think he deserved the softness of what Eiji offered. I disagree.
Despite making quick work of many challenges following the trail of banana fish, Ash can be hotheaded. He's emotional at times which is understandable but the worst instance of it was his overcorrection when Sing's men shoot Eiji as the fall out inextricably creates the situation that costs him his life.
Eiji Okumura. In many ways, Eiji is Ash's greatest weakness, often willing to walk back into hell if it meant an even exchange of Eiji's safety or life. But when it feels like you finally find a reason to live beyond just survival, is it not worth protecting?
Eiji Strengths
Despite the obvious culture shock, Eiji is unflappable, regardless of what he was running away from back home. From his pole vaulted escape where it all begins, to telling Ash to return to him safely, Eiji was just there for Ash and, more importantly, expected nothing in return. Both of these capture Ash's attention and quickly establishes a reciprocal relationship of respect and sympathy.
Eiji is as trustworthy as he is trusting. That's not to say he 100% has the best judge of who is deserving of his trust but his earnest nature endears him to others quickly. To the point where Shorter still does everything in his power to protect Eiji up until the point he can't. One could argue that should be chalked up to Shorter's friendship with Ash but there was a tenderness and concern to Shorter's protection that was specific to Eiji.
One thing about Eiji, he's gonna have audacity. He does not fear Ash despite the things Ash has had to do in the span of knowing him. He treats Ash as a person deserving of concern, deserving of kindness and deserving of attitude when the situation calls for it. In many ways, Ash is surrounded by people who care for him but Eiji sees him beyond his reputation and what he can do for him and it sets him apart. Even when Ash experiences things outside of what he can comprehend, when others treat Ash like a ticking time bomb to be regarded at arms length, Eiji is able to close the gap to comfort him.
Eiji Weaknesses
Despite that one year difference, Eiji is naive to the ways of the world. While it is presented initially like a cultural divide, fundamentally Eiji's upbringing, while not a walk in the park, is also so starkly different from Ash, Shorter's and other characters. A sickly father, perhaps distant mother, but he had promise and opportunities. Back home, he wasn't just surviving. This doesn't undermine the ego death of losing everything when he got injured and having to start from scratch. In truth, I don't think anything could have prepared him for the journey down the rabbit hole but he dove down it just the same. Perhaps because there were no alarms blaring about how it could cost him his life even after Skip's initial death.
DYNAMIC
Contrary to the above, I think Ash and Eiji don't always fall into the same dynamic in every part of the story. They fight for one another, sacrifice for one another, and provide protection (as best they can and in whatever way they can) for one another. Despite everything that should separate them and the one in a million chance of meeting one another, they did. While it meant both of their ruin in different ways it also irreparably altered both of their lives as they made indelible impressions upon one another.
Tumblr media
I will never get over these two and, I suppose, neither will the rest of JJK since they're the reason for everything that goes awry.
⚠️ Spoiler warning through end of JJK manga. 😭
PERSONALITY
Will there ever come a time when I tire of writing about Satoru Gojo or Suguru Geto? No, I think not. I saved them for last because I felt like I'd probably have the most to write here but once I started thinking about it.. every single one of their strengths in turn becomes their weakness and leads to their undoing.
Gojo Strengths and Weaknesses
Gojo is strength. Tipping the scales with your birth had to make the list somewhere. He was an infallible weapon wielded by the higher ups until he became too unruly... but what could they do? He was the closest thing they had to otherworldly power. In many ways, without him, sorcerers didn't stand a chance. They conflated him with a god and it went to his head. It allowed him the hubris to gamble on a mission he knew could change the world.
Gojo's status makes him untouchable. In a society that prioritizes strength, Gojo was unmatched. Limitless is such an apropo technique for someone so far removed from others... or is he far removed from others because of his Limitless? Either way, by the time he meets Geto, he'd already been a weapon, been an anomaly for so long. He was raised without an equal, he is not unused to being the strongest and the responsibility that that entails. He's intelligent, pragmatic, and extremely capable. However, finding an equal in Geto made him greedy. Confident. A dangerous combination but, had he not always known such impregnable loneliness, perhaps things wouldn't have gone as far as they did. Regardless of the imperfect comparison (since being a Special Grade has a massive disparity in strength) these extremes created such a desperate need to never know isolation again. He was alone before Geto and suffered the weight of the world after Geto. It created an unprecedented sense of sentimentality, it drove him not to burn Geto's body. Even finding stronger students, people who could stand shoulder to shoulder with him, would one day surpass him... and he still couldn't really let them in.
It takes time and experience but, eventually, he has an adaptable worldview not defined by imposed obligation. This is informed by trauma but it becomes the catalyst for how he lives the rest of his life which is marked with the lofty benevolence of someone who doesn't have to interfere in the trivialities between sorcerers and curses/curse users but does if only to prevent others from experiencing similarly devastating loss or alienation. What he does after Geto defects does nothing to redeem Geto or salvage their relationship but, from that point, Gojo appreciates and protects the privilege of being young in the only way he knows how, by forging them to be strong in turn. It's not exactly a moral compass, one could argue it perpetuates a system that still exploits children but the response, as we've seen with the series end, sorcerers don't have the privilege of choice.
Gojo is out of touch with those around him. He can plot causation, infer complex logic, rehash history, etc. but it does nothing for the broken boy said to be his best friend. While he becomes aware of this weakness and tries to address it with Yuji (by having Nanami take over), it's too late. The damage had already been done.
Geto Strength and Weaknesses
Geto is no stranger to grueling and hard work. As an outsider to Jujutsu Tech, imagine coming into the fold, the only sorcerer of your family with a grossly unpalatable technique. Assessed to be the strongest after being plucked from relative obscurity and you stand at the top of the mountain with someone who won the genetic lottery with all the audacity to boot. We don't have much insight into Geto's whole back story but we see enough of Yuji's immersion into the jujutsu world to know that it isn't easy. But Geto made quick work of becoming an adept sorcerer, one who could keep up with the likes of Satoru Gojo even. Even as the strongest, he still must have had a bit of a bitter taste as he came to learn more of the world.
Geto is humble. Such that he earns respect and admiration from Nanami and Haibara respectively. His technique, almost an ill fit for someone who sought to be so pure, so noble, is unpleasant but it bestows such great power upon him. I imagine he had to rationalize it somehow. The sacrificial means to a suitable end in his mind. He is polite (but can absolutely be a little shit) and tries not to let being the strongest get to his head, frequently chastising Gojo for his behavior. But this practice of being humble in the face of such obvious power eventually creates a situation where he feels he is owed.
Geto has an inalienable sense of responsibility. It lends itself to his humility and keeps his moral compass pointed due north. Moreover, its what informs Gojo's reliance on his judgement. His worldview is simple, human even. Those who are strong are meant to protect. I think it further gives meaning to his discomfort every time he uses his technique. As if to say "in order to protect, I must suffer. Because I have great strength, I must be prepared to sacrifice,". This A + B = C mentality only works in a simple world without variables. But the world is unfair, curses are unpredictable and, sometimes, humans can be monsters. So when his worldview changes, it fractures something deep within him because of his simple but unyielding principles and inability to accept the world for what it is: a sea of gray.
DYNAMIC
They diametrically complement one another by design. In many ways, they differ to an extreme that begs the question of how they ever found any middle ground. But they did. And there was love. Or affection should you prefer. But it didn't make a lick of difference.

Eichi: Fufu, I shouldn't make you worry like that, Tori. Let's us use the time in our hands, and do the best we can.
TL note: The phrase Wataru used here is a pun, the word 'ceiling' reads as Tenjou 天井 in Japanese and the word 'sky' also reads as Tenjou 天上 The correct phrase would be 'let's not aim for the ceiling, but for the heaven'. I tried my best to make this work.

Adonis: Fumu… I want my singing voice to go over the country borders and beyond the sea, reaching the world out there. But saying this sounds much like my own selfish ambition doesn't it?
Koga: No way. The dream Adonis always holds on to has already becomes our dreams too. Let's all aim big so that all our dreams can come true ♪
… (Raise my hand)
Rei: Kukuku. Jou-chan is saying that each and every one of us is growing every day. Thank you, I feel joy because of your words.

It’s Always Been You pt15
(Kyoya x Male Reader)
Chapter fifteen
-Operation Haruhi And Hikaru’s First Date-
 “Haruhi Fujioka?” His voice wavered.
  “Hey Arai.” Her eyes widened.
Time stood still as a sense of nostalgia surrounded the two.
Tamaki was watching the two, a sense of dread filled within him. His grip on the twins tightened.
“So uh, these are your friends?” Arai smiled nervously looking at the group.
“Oh, yeah, this is Y/n. Then Hikaru and kaoru are in my class. And this is…” Haruhi thought for a moment before starting again.
“-An acquaintance of mine.” She smiled, unintentionally sending daggers to Tamaki’s heart.
A dramatic piano played to accompany.
“Miszu….” Tamaki slowly turns his head.
“Please don’t add any sound effects to my moment of dispair…”
The two sat down, Haruhi and Arai at one table. The twins at another, and the rest of the club at a third one.
“I haven’t seen you since graduation.” Haruhi smiled.
“Yeah you’ve cut all your hair off. That’s such a shame.”
“I don’t think so. I mean, since I cut it, it has been easier to manage.” Haruhi played with a strand of hair.
“So how’s Ouran treating you? Do you keep in touch with anyone from middle school anymore?”
“Yeah, a little. Kazumi still calls me, what about you?”
   Over at the other table….
“So, then he’s a friend of Haruhi’s from middle school huh?” Kyoya notes.
“They’ve had zero contact since graduation, so in my opinion they’re not friends just former classmates.” Hikaru sneered.
“So… these guys are all in a club with you?”
   “Host club.” Haruhi deadpanned.
  “Oh is that so-?”
“Hey Haruhi, don’t you think you should be working? You shouldn’t be slacking off!”
Hikaru barked, brashly raising his class, the ice clicking against the glass.
“Miszu said I could take a break!-” She
answered.
A sound of paper ripping teared her attention away.
“-Hey! Quit making more garbage I’ll have to take out!”
Tamaki was mobbing around now tearing up the club Manuel. Her first mistake was leaving him to his own devices.
“It’s not garbage. I’m making a hamster home.” He pouted.
“But Senpai, you don’t have a hamster.”
“I’m not your Senpai. I’m just an acquaintance of yours.” He ripped up more paper.
   “Wow-“ Arai chuckled.
“Who knew you Ouran guys were so funny.”
“-You know it’s such a prestigious school, I’ve always imagined it’s a whole different world.”
   “It’s a different world alright.”
“To be honest with you Fujioka,” Arai looked back at Haruhi.
“-I was kind of worried that you were going to have a hard time going to such an elite school. I’m glad to see you’re doing well.”
    Haruhi softly smiled at that.
“Uh-“ Arai started to turn red.
“I mean, it’s not like I was the only one who was worried about you, lots a people were.” He stammered, scratching the back of his head.
“What’s with him?” Hikaru eyes narrowed, staring Arai down.
“He’s trying to use the refreshing innocence approach, someone should tell him we already had a refreshing contest.” He looked over to the group.
“You’re being unusually critical.” Kyoya notes.
“I’m just saying, it’s obvious this guy has a thing for Haruhi.” Hikaru loudly proclaimed.
   Haruhi and Arai turned around.
“-It’s sickening to watch him try and flirt, bleh.” He gagged.
Arai deflated, figure the floor was easier to look at.
Haruhi abruptly stood up and glared at Hikaru,
“Hikaru, what’s wrong with you? Quite acting like such a jerk!”
“Hey, it’s not big deal, he’s right I did have a thing for you once.” Arai nervously laughed, trying to deescalate the situation.
Tamaki was on the edge of his chair now.
“But who cares, you have already turned me down right?” Arai adds.
   “Huh!” Honey and Tamaki yelled.
 “Huh?!” Haruhi joins them.
“Why do you look so surprised?” Kyoya looks at Haruhi.
“Uh- well I didn’t know.” Haruhi stammered.
“You have to fill us in on the story Arai, now when did this happen?” Tamaki is now in front of Arai.
“Well, it was about a year ago..”
(Flashback)
“Fujioka!” A younger Arai calls out.
Haruhi turned around, holding a few books.
“I heard that you’re taking the honour student exam for Ouran Academy.”
  Haruhi nodded.
“You are? Well you might just make it in with your grades. Although…” Arai shyly looked off to the side.
“-I was sure you’d be going to Higashi High.”
“I’m taking a test for that too.” Haruhi smiled
“I don’t know if I’ll be accepted into Ouran.”
“Yeah well, I guess I’ll just cheer for you.” Arai looked back at Haruhi.
“I’d like to go to the same highschool as you though.”
“Well okay then, you really should’ve said something to me sooner.”
   Arai heart skips a beat.
 “You mean…”
“I’m pretty sure that Ouran’s awarding more than one honour student scholarship.” Haruhi explained.
“And even if there is only one, you can’t give up on going to the school of your dreams for someone else’s sake. If only one of us gets in, there won’t be any hard feelings right?”
“We should both do our best. I know, let’s go ask the counselor about it!” Haruhi began to walk away.
“Fujioka!” Arai panicked and grabbed Haruhi’s wrist.
“I- I want you to go with me!” He blurted out.
   Haruhi softly smiled at him.
“Yeah, I wanted to check the application deadline too. Let’s go to the staff room together.” She points down the hall.
 (Flashback Ends)
Haruhi began to make incoherent  nosies as she spirals.
    “Haruhi…”
The lights flickered and now the boys are in cop uniforms.
“You broke this innocent man’s heart? Just to get a laugh from some sick joke?” Kyoya interrogated.
“Um… no, that’s not what happened, I didn’t understand what he meant.”
Honey looked up at Mori, holding Usa-chan.
  “This crimes pretty serious, huh?”
  Mori nodded in agreement.
“How is this Haruhi’s fault? I wouldn’t have gotten it either.” Y/n butts in.
“Well you’re the best judge for things like this anyways.”  Honey giggled, looked up at Y/n.
  “What do you mean-?”
Haruhi is now infront of Arai, and she bows.
  “I’m so sorry.”
“So you’re turning me down a whole year later?” Arai expresses.
“Don’t worry Fujioka, I’m over it already.”
“- You didn’t realize what I meant so that means you weren’t interested. But you know… I was always drawn to that faraway look in your eyes. And the way you look someone in the eyes when you spoke to them. I liked that about you, I always thought you were special.”
Tamaki eyes shined, truly touched by his words.
“You think that much of my little girl? Don’t worry I’ll never forget your gallantry!” Tamaki gleefully smiled.
“Eh?…” Arai weirded out by this.
Hikaru took a sip from his very empty cup, staring at the group, a bitter taste stuck in his mouth.
Later on, the group is now sitting at one table getting friendly with Arai. But of course the exclusion of the twins.
“Wow! You guys went to Kyoto for your school trip? How unusual that you stayed in the country!” Honey smiled.
“Nah, it’s quite normal for us really.” Arai stated.
“Well, I’ve always been a fan of Kyoto.” Tamaki added.
“I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to tour the temples with him.” Kyoya sighed.
Tamaki noticed the twins from the distance.
  “Hikaru, Kaoru!”
Tamaki waved over to the twins.
“Get over here! This may be our only chance to hear what Haruhi was like in middle school!”
Hikaru crossed his arms with a huff.
   “Sorry, but I’m not interested.”
“Man, how stupid can you guys get? Where’s the fun in sitting around talking about somebody’s past, I don’t see the appeal. Besides, doesn’t that guy realize Haruhi doesn’t want anything to do with him. She’s got plenty of friends.”
Haruhi got up and stomped towards Hikaru.
“So she doesn’t need you around, get lost.”
Haruhi harshly slapped Hikaru, glaring at him.
“That’s not something for you to decide Hikaru! I’m not going to tolerate you insulting my friends anymore, you got that!”
Hikaru was trembling looking down at Haruhi.
“But why…? Why should anyone else even matter to you?”
   Haruhi soften her glare.
“I thought we were your friends! Are we or aren’t we?” Hikaru clenches his teeth before running off up stairs, Karou follows after.
  “Hikaru, wait for me!”
“There world is still so small, it’s such a shame.” Tamaki watches the two.
A veil of silence falls across the room. No one really sure of what to do.
   A chair is pushed back.
“Uh- I should go…” Arai makes his way to the door, the others come aswell.
Arai heads outside and starts to get back in his bike.
“I’m really sorry Arai.” Haruhi apologizes.
“It’s okay, I dont know what I did, but whatever it was sure did set him off, huh?” He laughed uncomfortably.
Hikaru joins the others. And walks up to Arai.
“I was out of line, I’m sorry..” Hikaru rubbed the back of his head.
“Thanks, don’t worry about it. Well, see you soon Fujioka.” He began to bike off.
As Arai biked away, Haruhi turned to Hikaru. Who was being too pleasant.
“So Kaoru, tell me why you’re pretending to be Hikaru?”
The club looks at Haruhi surprised.
“Hey wait-“ Haruhi grabbed Kaoru’s cheek.
“What happened to that scratch on your cheek?”
“I just covered it up with some concealer!” He laughed.
“I don’t think Hikaru’s temper is going to let up anytime soon. He’s no fun when he’s like this.” Kaoru smiled at Haruhi.
“So Ive got a small favour to ask of you.”
   “Hm?”
“How would you like to go out with me tomorrow on a date?” Kaoru gave a grin.
  “WHAT!?” Tamaki screeched.
    “Sure.” Haruhi agreed.
 “NO!”
But his very normal and sane reaction fell to death ears.
“If you keep screaming like that someone is going to call the cops.” Y/n groaned covering his ears.
“But- howcouldIletmydesrdaughteronadateshestooyoungforitIcantletthishappen.”  Tamaki spoke in between tears.
“Don’t make me have Kyoya deal with you.” Y/n sighed.
Tamaki turned his head towards Kyoya, an ominous aura surrounded him.
He let a gasp before standing up and dusting himself off.
———-
The day of the date, Haruhi stands in a busy town, tourists everywhere.
She was dressed up in a cute sundress, with extensions in her hair made into pigtails.
    “Sorry to keep you waiting.”
Haruhi turned and without missing a beat-
  “Hold on…. Where’s Karou?”
“Well uh… he wasn’t feeling well, and felt guilty, making me take his place.”
“What should we do? Wanna go home?”
“No I told him I’d hang out with yoy today so we might as well.”
Hikaru looked Haruhi up and down with a funny look.
“But what’s up with that outfit?”
“Uh…” Haruhi looks down on her outfit, pulling at the hem of her dress.
   “Is it weird?”
  “Kind of.”
Unknowingly of the two, the host club was lingering, watching the date unfold.
And Tamaki is being held back.
  “Agh! Haruhi” he reaches out.
“Be careful boss! They might see us.” Karou whispered.
  Tamaki gripped his shirt.
“Why did Haruhi and Hikaru end up on a day anyways!”
“Because you couldn’t muster up the courage yourself, you coward.” Y/n grinned teasing the blonde.
“How are yesterday’s events even remotely related to this!” Tamaki grimaced.
“Y’know this might be Haru-chan’s first date!” Honey spoke sitting off by a table having tea.
“You’re going to pay for that! And look at what she’s wearing! It’s cute! Super cute!”
  “I can explain…”
Tamaki began to through a fit.
“No fair, no fair, no fair!”
“I don’t know boss… it’s hard for you to understand, but it would be good for Hikaru to find other people he can feel close with.”
Tamaki stops looking back at Hikaru and Haruhi.
“The only other people we’ve ever been able to depend on are ourselves. We didn’t care what anyone else thought about us. That’s probably how we ended up so self-centred.”
“So you admit it?” Tamaki blankly spoke.
“I guess you could say Hikaru’s immature and lets his emotions run wild. See, I’m not sure he’s even aware of it, but I can tell that he cares about Haruhi. He just doesn’t know how to react so he lets his emotions take over. He’s selfish and wants all her attention.”
“He wants to be acknowledged by her but… doesn’t know how to make that happen. If you want true friends, friends who aren’t only your toys, you have to learn how to respect them. That’s the only way you can have a meaningful relationship. I think it’s time that Hikaru learned that lesson himself.”
“Karou… that was amazing.” Tamaki looked star-struck.
“So in other words, this date is basically to see if Hikaru can handle being thoughtful towards others right?” Kyoya noted.
“Just promise you won’t interfere with them okay?”
“Fine, but then why are you making us follow them?” Tamaki asked.
“Because! There’s no reason we should miss out on something this interesting!” Karou crouched behind a tree.
“I feel like a creep being around them.” Y/n mumbled, watching tamaki and Karou followed the couple.
“Kyoya, want to check out the stores around here?” Y/n gestured towards the street.
“Hm, not interested in stalking?” Kyoya look over to him.
“No, it’s really a shame isn’t?” Y/n grinned as he began to walk with Kyoya.
The streets were bustling with people, stores lined the streets with a few food stands littered about.
However one shop stood out, It was a small store, in the window display showed an array of trinkets, jewelry, stuffed animals and other charming gifts.
Y/n eagerly went to the store, Kyoya following. The door swings open, the inside has a sense of comfort to it.
   Y/n looked around the store.
“Are you looking for anything particular?” Kyoya asked as Y/n inspected one of the stuffed animals.
“I want to get gifts for the club.”
“-This looks like Hikaru and Karou.” He snickered, holding up twin cats attached by a thread through their paws.
“Is that so…” Kyoya looked at the stuffed animal.
Y/n wandered off towards the other side of the store, living Kyoya to look around for himself.
He stared at one of the shelves, it held a bunch of various figures made out of minerals and gems. He picked up one of them, it was a small crab made out of a colourful stone. It reflected bits of light as he holds it. After a while he puts it back before walking to another area.
As Y/n picked out something for everyone, however he left Kyoya last. He wanted to wait to see if anything here caught Kyoya’s interest. And by some miracle he actually found something, the crab, He noticed Kyoya’s interest in it.
He went to the cashier and put everyone’s gift down, he asked for the crab to be in a special package. After paying Y/n put the crab, now in a sleek black box in his pocket, while the rest of the gifts are put in various bags.
Y/n thanked the cashier and went over to kyoya.
“You ready to go?”  Y/n asked holding the bags.
“Looks like you found everything you needed.” Kyoya noted.
“I did in fact, now let’s continue on!” Y/n smiled walking out the door.
A cool breeze greets the two, before it’s starting to rain, heavily. Thunder soon joins in.
“It’s freezing out here.” Y/n tenses up, unknowingly move closer to Kyoya. For warmth of course, nothing else…
“You know if anyone can come get us?”
“I can see-“ A ring intrudes the two.
“Why is Tamaki calling?” Y/n mumbled before answering his phone.
Worried screams come from the other side.
   “What?”
   “No I haven’t, and yes I’m fine.”
  “Yes he’s here with me.”
“No- just call him yourself-… fine.”
Y/n hands his phone to Kyoya.
“He wants to talk to you.”
Kyoya took it as Tamaki yelled, Y/n could almost make out what he was saying by sheer volume.
Kyoya hanged up after Tamaki finished his speech, giving Y/n’s phone back to him.
   “So?”
“Apparently Hikaru left Haruhi right before the storm and now he doesn’t know where either of them are.” Kyoya explained.
“How delightful.” Y/n rubbed his temples.
“Let’s just go into the cafe next door, and wait for a ride. I need a drink anyway.”
He moved towards the door and opened it for Kyoya.
  “Ladies first.” Y/n grinned.
  “How thoughtful.” Kyoya walked through.
The smell of coffee and freshly baked goods spread across the room.
“I’m gonna order a drink you want anything?”
   Y/n tilts his head.
 “Just a coffee.”
“Boo how boring.” He grins walking in line.
As Y/n successfully orders the coffees, without being awkward for once.
He places the coffees at the table and sat down across from Kyoya.
“-oh! Before I forget here.” He slides the black box towards Kyoya.
“I got you a gift too.” He nervously smiled.
Kyoya looked at the box, and he opened it.
“-I saw you looking at in the store and I thought you might’ve liked it so-…” Y/n stopped his rambling.
Kyoya pulled out the crab, and his eyes softened.
The sight caused any doubt to disappear from him.
“Thank you, Y/n.” Kyoya looked up at him.
“Oh- uh… you’re welcome.” Y/n looked off to the side.
His heart was a goner now.
——
Afterwards….
“What’s up!” Arai walked into the bed and breakfast  holding up a watermelon.
“Hey good morning Arai!” Haruhi smiled.
“I brought you a watermelon! My uncle got the best in town.”
“Oh wow it’s huge!” Honey exclaimed.
Y/n started chuckling.
  “Hm?” Honey turned to Y/n
“Don’t worry about it.” He grinned
Arai hands over the watermelon to Hikaru with a smile.
  “Here.”
  “Thanks.”
..
“By the way… a question about your strategy. Did you ever consider the possibility the date might go too well and those two fall in love?” Kyoya spoke observing the club from the balcony.
“Nah, it’s still too soon for that. Hikaru’s a bit of a dummy.” Karou smiled.
“Well, then he’s lucky because our club is full of dummies.” Kyoya pushed his glasses up.
“Speaking of which, how did you and Y/n’s date go.” He grinned.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Kyoya looks down at his notebook.
Karou gave a brief look before smiling.

Hypmic OC Halloween Party 2023 🎃 ~Part I
Once the night of 31rd October has already come to the town, who knows? Something extra supernatural is bound to happen!
Tumblr media
Disclaimer: Please note that these are not the actual titles to the songs, I just made them up of course. All these songs obviously belong to their respective artists,
And the OCs mentioned belong to their respective creators as well!
To be honest, at first I attempted to make the cast match with their headcanon VCs but considered giving it up at some point because if I did that, some names would be brought up too often *side-glancing at Yuuya, Saigo, and Yorii*
Surprisingly, almost every song happens to have their own English subtitles available, so open them up if you’d like to know something. I’ll leave more details in your imagination then (¬‿¬)
If you feel tempted to do the fanarts, please feel free to do it XD

🎃 Behind the scenes Pt.1
Even though there are other divisions and some participants which may not be mentioned above, they’re all invited and have their own parts in this event as well. For examples;
Himari Asami, Hiroshi Sakura, and Suzuran Minazuki (who was on the request of her non-blood-related cousin) were in charge of designing and making costumes with the assistance of three fashion interns; Aimi Miyazaki, Alice Shiroka, and Umi Kobayashi.
Akira Arai, Natsume Kurome, Kururi Yamamura and Queen Card’s team were noted to took part in making props. By the way, Kureha Koizumi was anticipated to participate in this as well but she unexpectedly showed up in the opening show —much to everyone’s surprise.
Reiaki Suzubayashi and Emiko Akaibara showed to work together on helping the cast prepare themselves before entering the stage.
Chiyuri Seiguni was tasked to be the main operator of most special effects on stage via the brief from the real technician, Raiden Otoha since this one had to take his part in the 7th show.
Aiko Mayeda was the D.J. and he got the party started! The 86 band and other musical units associated with other division members were also joined in to provide music for some songs.
Most choreography throughout the shows were designed and coached by Yeong Hajoon, Haruto Morikawa, and Kaede Iwasawa.
The representative of Snowflake Sentinel News, Yoichi Shujo; and the head of a certain publishing-house, Nellie Yukimura were assigned to deliver the details of this event. Please expect more live reports and some tidbits behind the scenes from them.
The foods and drinks in this event were all supplied by the alliance between Luis Kōkyū, Rashaad Young, Harumatsuya shop, and Rikiya farm.
The main sponsors of the previous event are Sigma Inc., Toi Pharmaceutical, and E.L. Medical Co. Therefore, this time it’s the turn of Wonder⇓anD Sound Systems, Arakawa Tech Industries, and the concert venue was organized by the entertainment agency “Kairiku Production” with the cooperation of Queen Card’s league.
For some reason, a certain division was banned from participating —to be specific, it’s Ginza Division. However, Eiji Noguchi and his family were secretly invited because his children wanted to come.
At first Fusao Ise and Queen card were honored to be the MCs (or the hosts) of this event but because the latter had to ‘prepare’ for her own part in the 11th show, Reika Aichi was surprisingly nominated to take over this role once again alongside Fusao.
At the beginning, all the cast were seen wearing some kind of masquerade mask before their first show started.
Though not every division was present in the 3rd show, there were flags with symbols of each team ever participated in the D.R.B. showing on stage.
For whatever reason, Aranai Norikoru was the one who delivered the line “Toki wo (Shout)!” before the chorus “Kakumei wa matte (The revolution has succeeded)!” was sung by all divisions. Well, someone in the cast seemed visibly displeased with how this turned out.
Despite the 6th show being performed by Yuuya Kanata and Yorii Sakuma, the one who advised them on the lyrics was their senior musician, Ren Nakashima, and the music provider for this show was none other than the 86 Band
Before two boys of the 6th show left the stage, the camera caught both Yuuya and Yorii high-fiving Ren who was up for the next show…
▶︎ TO BE CONTINUE IN PT. 2…

Swing Night - The Two, Divided: Chapter 1
Characters: Adonis, Kouga, Kaoru & Rei
TL Note:
For those who don’t know, this is a direct reference to Kouga’s first meeting with Anzu in the Enstars! main story.
Tumblr media
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ< The next day. >
Tumblr media
Kouga: Ugh… I think I’m gonna go crazy…
Kaoru: Oh, this is rare. You’re giving up already, Kouga-kun?
Rei: You’re more of a coward than I’d expected.
Adonis: You can do it, Oogami. You’ve overcome all the obstacles that have blocked your way so far – you’re the coolest man there is, right?
Kouga: Oh, shut up~! This ain’t ‘bout me being a coward!
I just don’t get it! Why do I have to watch all these stupid romance dramas and flicks!?
I’m seriously not interested in this stuff!
Rei: Isn’t it precisely because you have no interest that you should watch and study them?
Although, I am rather sleepy now… Hasumi-kun would pester me to watch the same anime show with him when we were children. I remember watching those episodes while listening to his commentary beside me.
Being made to watch a movie you have no interest in is in itself a form of torture, isn’t it?
But this is necessary in order to help Adonis-kun. Isn’t that what we all agreed to do?
Kaoru: Yeah. We’re learning the types of men that are well-liked and the ones that are disliked to get Urania-chan to call off the engagement.
Kouga: I know that! But I can’t watch this stuff, alright!?
I wanna watch an action flick where the main character’s gettin’ chased by the antagonist and there’s guns being fired off!
Rei: Think of it this way, Kouga: The tactics used in making someone fall in love with you is similar to a car action sequence or a gunfight.
See? The main character’s rival in love was just killed with a bullet of justice – a bullet of love ♪
Kouga: I see. I guess I can enjoy romantic movies the same way then…
Yeah, right! I don’t have that great of an imagination!
Rei: Hmm. Well, if you can come up with the quickest way that will make Urania-chan call off the engagement, then I suppose we could put an end to this, Kouga?
Kouga: The quickest way to get her to call off the engagement…?
…………
Step on her face the first time you meet her[⁎]?
Kaoru: Wow, that’s the worst. Seriously, don’t, okay? That’d be a real accident.
Rei: I’m sure there are women in this world who like men with bad behaviour, but those men aren’t even considered human at that point.
Adonis: I think you’re always honest and correct, Oogami. But I cannot understand that idea. One shouldn’t be violent towards the weak.
Kouga: I–I know! I already regret doing that! You guys were the ones who asked me for the quickest way, dammit!
Rei: So you were aware you were disliked by Young Lady Anzu?
Kouga: She’d put her guard up every time she saw my face, ya know. I felt pretty intimidated too.
Kaoru: Intimidated? That’s how you viewed your communication with a cute girl? That’s just the worst, no matter how you look at it.
Kouga: Just shut up~!
Rei: In any case, deepening our knowledge by watching romance movies should definitely come in handy later.
Adonis: ? What do you mean?
Rei: I received the batch of questions for our magazine interview the other day, but…
One of the questions was “Please tell us about your first love.”
Kaoru: Oh, right. It’s a magazine for female readers, so there’s bound to be questions about romance and the type of girl we like, huh.
Rei: Indeed. After all, love stories will always be exciting no matter what country you’re from. I think they had rather good questions and it was plenty to fill the magazine page.
But I think questions that ask us about actual experiences are not good questions, so I’m thinking of rejecting those sorts of questions.
Kouga: Questions askin’ about our “first love” and whatnot are so frickin’ annoyin’, but I don’t get why you think those aren’t good questions.
Rei: Well, it’s obvious. If we answer truthfully, then our unit’s image will just go down the drain.
Adonis: Sakuma-senpai, the reason you have misgivings on the topic of “first love”... is it because you think we wouldn’t be able to answer it?
Rei: Indeed. That’s exactly so!
Think about when you’ll need to answer these questions on the fly.
I figured if you watched romance movies and dramas beforehand, you’d be able to use that knowledge to put an entertaining twist on your stories and experiences that may be otherwise lacking.
It makes sense as Kouga and Adonis-kun are both children, but it’d also be pretty bad if Kaoru-kun were to get stuck with an answer, right…? Considering his image as an idol is one of a playboy.
Kaoru: I–I can come up with an answer or two!
The question is asking about our “first love”, right? I don’t think my answer would be what people are expecting, though.
First loves are more bittersweet and fantasy-like, right!?
Rei: An excuse, I see. You also said that at the speed of light.
Kouga: No one sees you as a playboy who switches girls like they’re shoes or somethin’, Hakaze-senpai.
Kaoru: Ugh… Talking about love and romance is what I’m supposed to be good at, though…!
Rei: Well, there’s no need to be completely honest. We’re idols unlike those whose image is all about honesty and the truth.
Plus, when idols talk about their first love and romance in general, it’s just gossip. They should be treated as entertaining memories.
Kaoru: I guess. In the worst-case scenario, I can always just make up a harmless story that’s based on a movie.
I bet Adonis-kun and Kouga-kun would hate doing that, though. Lies can be convenient at times, you know?
Sometimes, kind lies that won’t hurt anyone are better than the cruel truth.
I also don’t think the people watching us see us as people who are 100% showing our true selves, either.
We hide our true faces and selves with makeup and beautiful embellishments.
No, that’s what it means to be an idol.
Rei: Naturally, not everything we do show is fake or a lie. Making adjustments as necessary is important – show what needs to be shown and hide what needs to be hidden…
This sounds rather silly, but it’s an extremely delicate issue when it comes to idols.
Talking about love may not seem significant, but it actually is.
Kouga: Ugh, this is so annoyin’. I ain’t great at being that thoughtful, and I hate it too!
I’m always showin’ people what I’m really like!
Tumblr media
Rei: Kouga, you may feel you can still be loved if you do that, but you still need to be thoughtful on a minimum scale. That’s what I’m trying to say.
That’s one of the conclusions reached by the people who are even more well-versed in romance than us – in a way, you could say that’s one correct answer.
Therefore, Kouga, you’ll need this knowledge in the future, so be sure to keep watching the movie with no complaints.

How would you describe the personality of each member? As a fan, do you notice when they change? Do you think they are friendlier now than when they were 10 years / 20 years ago?
To be honest, I have always been the worst at describing people, even fictional characters. I envy everyone who can come up with a profound analysis and even extrapoate on individuals' personalities.
With that said, from the little I know, they are all very quiet, except Die, but Toshiya can also open up with alcohol it seems hah. Toshiya is soft and warm-hearted. Kaoru, especially from what I have heard, is very generous; he goes above and beyond to anticipate people's needs and desires. Shinya, I love his humor, but I personally wondered if he developed it as a defensive mechanism, because he found a way to make people laugh while sounding dumb. Anyway, for certain he must be very strong-willed. I don't see it as an act of submission at all that he stayed in the band despite questioning the distance that they took from visual kei. He is uniquely creative and does not hesitate to act on that. For Kyo, of course he looks like he is brutally honest. Hm, there's satellite stuff that I know about his personality from kyo-online that I won't share, but he reminds me of a friend who must always keep busy otherwise some obsession(s) settles in. Other than being honest and laser-focused, obviously he is close to his emotions and I think that he has people's best interests in mind. Die, it's crazy because I know that he posts daily on his blog but I never signed up, so I feel like I don't know much about him at all.
As for friendlier, I am not sure if you were refering to among the band or toward fans. Certainly, there seemed to be a lot of tension within the band around Uroboros. I know that there were barely any clips from that whole era to include in the compilation of interactions among the members.
If anybody wants to add or correct something to answer this question, feel free!

Too Mean... | Kaoru Hakaze
smut (under 18 dni.)
reblogs are appreciated ♧
gn!dom!reader x sub!kaoru, (established relationship) kaoru cries and the reader comforts him, some degrading at the start, some fluff in the middle and it ends on a gentle note with lots of sweet and gentle sex!! it's what kaoru deserves hehe and aftercare of course!! (I love aftercare)
a/n: don't lie to your sexual partners!! (don't be like kaoru.) a/n 2: kaoru speaking is in bold + italic
Tumblr media
being a producer means taking care of your idols' needs right....? Well... Kaoru is a bit too needy for your liking...
"Rather eager aren't we?" you hear Kaoru chuckle, he sits on the bed, his back against the headboard, his white t-shirt somewhere on the floor, as your hands quickly undo his belt and pants
"not my fault that you've been acting like a needy whore" you speak harshly, spitting on your hand a few times and grabbing up his length, pumping it a few times, as you fail to notice that his whimper came from your degrading, not from a place of pleasure
you stop for a moment as you swiftly pull off your shorts and underwear, settling down on his lap as you look back at a red-faced Kaoru with slight tears forming in his eyes
"what's wrong?" you speak gently as your hands go back to his length between your legs, not quite stroking him, instead your thumb moving in a soft circular motion against his sensitive tip. He doesn't answer except mumbling a small "nothing" as he pulls his jacket on top his face... is he that embarrassed?
"..you good to go?" you ask back slightly worried
"mhm, green" he answers, his face still hidden under his jacket as you nod and start moving your hand up and down his length, yet, unlike earlier you stroke it at a gentle pace, almost testing the water as he lets out loud moans, letting his jacket slip off his face as he grabs the bedsheets instead,
"is the little slut enjoying the gentle treatment? tell me Kaoru, do you deserve such a treatment after how you acted today?" you speak at him coldly but keeping a gentle pace- after all.. you did believe that your rough pace was the reason for his reaction earlier, so why not switch it up to a gentle one?
but to your surprise he sobs out "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry" a few times and a "please don't be so mean" with those loud cries as he lets tears stream down his face, immediately making you let go of his length as you pull him into a hug
"hey hey~ don't cry sweetheart.. what's wrong... speak to me hm?" you speak to him in a much more gentle and caring voice, sound barely above a whisper, not to scare or overwhelm him as you run your clean hand through his hair gently, his sobs weakening as a few sniffles are all that's left before he speaks
"s.. sorry.. I thought I could handle it.. you know.. you taking out your anger out on me and all- I mean I deserve it right so-" your own heart breaking at his words as you let out a distasteful chuckle, cutting him off
"no no, it's fine really, be more honest with me alright? you deserve to have fun, to feel good, regardless of what I want, having fun isn't worth it if you don't feel good 'kay?" you speak with a soft giggle kissing his forehead as you reach for your clothes before Kaoru grabs your wrist,
"mm? don't you want to take a break?" you look down at him on the bed as he shakes his head, a soft blush appearing on his face as he whispers out gently;
"..please? can you.. take care of me tonight?" he asks in a small and soft voice, showing you his most vulnerable side, whilst you reach down and push your lips against his in a gentle manner, the kiss sweet and comforting as he likes them, making him smile into the kiss as he practically melts in your hold,
you gently push him down, his back flat on the bed, head on the pillows as you grab up some lube and apply it accordingly before getting on his lap and kissing him again,
"you sure you want to bun?" you ask him tenderly before he nods happily, allowing you to carefully pull himself inside you, letting the feeling of him stretching you out linger through your whole body, hearing his gentle hisses and whines as your warm walls hug him, his soft whimpers being the cherry on top to your own pleasure
"you're so good for me~ always being a lovable boy" you whisper against his lips as you start moving your hips up and down his length at a gentle pace, watching him throw his head back and moan at the words, the sensations he's feeling overwhelming him with love and pleasure, seems like he likes being pampered huh?
keeping up a good pace, you let your hands run all over his chest, gently brushing over his nipples as he trembles just at the slightest touch, the pleasure becoming too much
"you look so pretty like this, so beautiful.. like the prettiest boy out there" you speak out breathlessly, both due to how pretty he looks as a few tears drip down his cheeks, with slight drool coating his lips due to the love he feels and breathless cause of how good you feel moving your hips against him
"fh.. feels so good... never felt it this good.." he moans under you as you continue to rock your hips against his for a few more minutes, one of his hands at your hips and the other on your cheek, pulling you in for another desperate kiss as more and more tears drip from his eyes, the soft blush darkening slightly as he feels you bite his lip gently and teasingly before letting out a high pitched moan
"you're such a good boy, doing so well for me" you whisper directly in his ear as you use your thumb to wipe away his tears, both of his hands coming up to your hips now and shakily holding them
"please.. can I please- ah~" you watch with a slight giggle as he shuts his eyes tightly, his grip on your hips becoming stronger as you continue with your movements
"go on~ I'm close too" you moan out, biting your lip at the feeling of his length twitching inside you as he cums deep inside, whining at the feeling as he lets out a few small moans and whimpers of your name as you continue on a little more reaching your own high with a few of your own high-pitched noises before laying on him as his hands wrap themselves around you almost immediately.
"I love you" you both end up giggling as you speak at the same time
"how was that? you were so lovely today" you speak gently to him, you own eyes shutting due to the work you put in, his hands being all over your waist and back, as you rest your head on his chest not helping your drowsiness at all as you let out a small yawn,
"it was good... like real good... I love you, thank you" he speaks, kissing your forehead but he's visibly exhausted as his eyes shut, drifting him to sleep quickly.. seems the emotional and physical exhaustion caught up to him too huh? you let out a small yawn before snuggling up closer to him, drifting off to sleep like him, with a sweet smile on your face, after all... cleaning up can be left for later right? what's better than to fall asleep holding each other as his length sits deep inside you.

Don't worry about answering asks late, it's no problem at all!! I was thinking more about romantic headcanons abt their relationship, but pet headcanons are even better omg. Noir my beloved 🥰
Noir and Kaoru.......... 🥺🥺 I love them!! And yeah, Noir has a canon design , she's a pretty tiny sleek black cat. Who says she cant get fluffier though. Cats only caring about you when you're gone is so accurate yet so painful :,) When Kaoru comes back from fashion week, he hugs Noir expecting her to jump up into his arms.. only for her to scratch the shit out of him and then stare at him cutely X3
I have to be honest I have been so brain-dead from work that I figured you wanted romantic headcanons but the second I thought of one they all flooded my brain like a vortex and I couldn't decide LOL I'm glad you liked my decision regardless!
I had a feeling she was probably some pretty sleek little cat, but I bet she was a fluffy little muffin when she was a kitten!
As a cat owner myself who is the cat's chosen one, I see the forlorn looks my wife and our housemate send me when my cat specifically sits on my lap and follows me into every room.
He probably tries to pick her up when he gets home and she bolts under the bed/behind the couch or he picks her up and she violently wiggles out of his arms and affectionately (?) bites his ankles in retaliation.
Here is my cat, btw, for reference:

Hii!! It’s the anon who asked you about kyoto previously. Thank you for answer btw!
Now I want to ask something about them again.
Do you have any headcanons about these two? I’d like to know about it I think it would be very interesting! And thanks again
omg hiiiii!!! i was so excited to get your ask, anon!! it’s a pleasant surprise to hear from you again!
and ooooh hehe i’d be happy to share!! i’m gonna put it under a cut just bc i know people can be either weird or uncomfortable abt this stuff so it’s like. if you read this it’s your own fault lol!!
i can give some broader hcs that i have, and if there’s something more specific you want to hear about, let me know!! (it also helps give me fanfic ideas for later ehehe)
so in general they def both like. had a crush at first sight thing that was VERY intense but they chalked it up to admiration and a desire to know each other better and work together (which like. it WAS but big gay). they’re definitely idiots to lovers, much to the rest of the band’s frustration and chagrin. toshiya defers to die w his longing and kyo to shinya. both of them bounce ideas off of kaoru and he is Very Tired but won’t pressure them bc they gotta figure it out on their own
they def messed around when they were younger but were insistent on it not meaning anything (unintentionally hurting the other) so when MOAB came around and the tensions in the band were already high, they butt heads A LOT and there was a lot of miscommunication and resentment that was thankfully resolved.
they probably end up getting together either during dss or a bit after kyo starts suke and they both have their own projects outside of the band and therefore have more time for themselves and for introspection and they finally figure their shit out
(also they are switches if you catch my drift)
(they bounce between each other’s places but when kyo gets pun he starts having the silent urge to invite toshiya to move in w him) (they are still idiots that struggle w being honest w themselves)

Hello, can you speak about episodes 7 and 8 of Tsurune S2, always enjoy reading your thoughts on the episodes, and thanks so much for sharing them!!
I've talked about episode 7 in a previous ask, so I'm gonna leave my impressions of episode 8 here. As a bonus, I'm also gonna talk about episodes 9 and 10, as an apology for taking so long to answer this ask. ;v;
I'm gonna start with the positive points, just like I did with episode 7, because there's so much goodness in this one. I love the first scenes so much. Sen and Man's morning practice with Shuu, Kazemai and the twins finding out that Ryouhei and Shuu are now friends, Daigo and Nanao bonding, the girls getting excited at Kirisaki's high school campus, Minato being a bow nerd... so wholesome.
But my favorite part has to be that moment where Kaito thinks the Kirisaki girls are about to approach Nanao and tries to block them out... except they go talk to Rika instead. That was so fucking funny. And so in-character too. Plus Seiya noticing the whole thing and giving Kaito a follow-up? Nice touch. He 100% would.
I love that we see more of the Kirisaki team in this episode. We barely get to see Hiroki and Daigo, so it was nice to have them interact in this one. I still think we have a major lack of them and the twins in this season, though, but given the direction that the anime is going, it can't be helped.
I like that we finally got the whole flashback where Minato learns about Eisuke's original shooting style and Eisuke learns about Minato being Saionji's apprentice. It's fascinating how much character study you can do in that one scene, especially the way Eisuke goes from flattered to straight-up hostile in a matter of seconds with a single piece of information. He's being nothing but sarcastic and petty when he says it's incredible that Minato was accepted as apprentice, but Minato (being Minato) doesn't take notice of it.
The joint practice was great and highlighted in very subtle ways why Manji should return to the team. Kaoru and Umetarou getting to have a role in that kind of warmed my heart. Also, the scene in the dorm. Just fantastic. The way we got to see everyone's rooms and the difference in size between the rooms of the first and second-years in comparison to the third-years'. Daigo's Noririn shrine. The crest of the dorm being purple irises. The nod to the novel during the takoyaki party time. Heart eyes. Nothing but heart eyes.
All in all, this episode was really damn good. The only things that had me raising a brow at certain moments were stuff that I have already discussed before, such as Eisuke for some reason insisting that his team should win without help from anyone, not even their school itself (except this time he had to reluctantly give in and take budget money for a training camp). Or Minato being a little too innocent and not realizing, even now that he's in high school, just how openly resentful Eisuke is towards him.
That last one bothers me in particular, as it implies that Minato has no negative feelings towards Eisuke simply because he doesn't notice how shitty Eisuke is to him. Not only is Eisuke's hostility mostly internal, Minato is also unrealistically oblivious of Eisuke's words and actions. The anime even makes a point to change his first interaction with Minato and make it so that Eisuke approaches Shuu instead.
In the novel, Minato knows very well that Eisuke has a deep-seated grudge against him and Shuu, and both of them have been directly and indirectly offended by it in every interaction they have with him, yet Minato chooses to be nice to Eisuke regardless. It takes Minato a while to get rid of his innitial resentment towards Eisuke, but he does, and he does it consciously. He acknowledges that Eisuke is mean as hell and doesn't make up any excuses to justify why he's liket that (because, let's be honest, this is what we'd get in any other sports series). Yet he still decides to be good, not because he's naïve, but because he has matured. That's the difference. Novel!Minato sees Eisuke for what he is and accepts it. He takes in the bad things Eisuke has said and done and forgives them. Rather, I'd say he makes them null. Not because Eisuke had a reason to be like that (nothing justifies it), but because Minato is quite literally above it all. It had irritated him at first, but after he went through a certain amount of enlightenment, it just stopped mattering. That's Zen and that's what his character is about.
The anime seems to think Minato is pure simply because he's clueless. To be fair, he's clueless about a lot of things, but he learns. And then he picks the right path, sometimes consciously, sometimes subconsciously. It all depends on what the situation calls for, and in this case, it was calling for a conscious choice.
Now for episode 9.
Another wholesome one, though not as much, as there was some friction going on. It's funny that the friction was one-sided on Eisuke's part, though.
Again, this episode doesn't have negative points aside from what I've already mentioned a lot before. I like that the anime also took some time to make Kazemai and Tsujimine bond a little. It was refreshing and cute. I think, if the author had more space within the page count of each volume, she might've included something like this in the story.
Speaking of bonding, gotta love that the show is finally giving us proper interaction between Seiya and Kaito, especially Seiya fucking around, but it's hilarious to me that it was done in the most non-gay manner possible. The scene where Seiya doesn't wear his spare glasses on purpose just to get Kaito to do things for him is the finest example of that. In canon, Seiya makes it very clear that he's pissed and wants Kaito to make up for breaking his glasses, and Kaito responds to his demands without question because he feels genuinely sorry and wants to be forgiven. After all, he broke Seiya's glasses by accident in the novel when Seiya tried to stop him from breaking Eisuke's whole face, so Seiya is twice as angry and Kaito is twice as guilty. And of course, the anime didn't show what happens after that. Nor did it show Seiya's implied jealousy of Nanao, his prank on Kaito during the night or him cleaning up Kaito's face the next day.
The anime is also insisting on Eisuke's don't-wanna-own-anyone-anything attitude without explaining why exactly he is like this. It's getting a little tiring to see that in every single episode and not be given a concrete reason for it. We got an explanation as to why he's so hellbent on winning against Shuu and Minato, all right, but why the insistence in not relying on anyone? The only thing I can think of is that anime seems to be trying to sell him as a tsundere. They keep trying so hard to make him cute and likable and don't see that it makes his character kind of confusing. He's so determined to win, yet he keeps nitpicking his methods only when it comes to relying on adults and on using money. Even money from the school and club budget, which he 100% has the right to use as a student. He wouldn't be owning anyone anything for that, since his family is literally paying for him to go to school in the first place. Make it make sense, KyoAni.
Also, I really like that the anime decided to give us more details on his relationship with Shigeru, but did they have to add that scene where Eisuke is rude as fuck to him? That one made me cringe big time. I don't know how it got translated in the subs or dub but I don't like that dialogue. Nope. Not cool.
Especially not cool when it's followed by, you guessed it, Masaki and Eisuke's exchange at the beach. It's a very different interaction from what we got in the novel and seems to have been framed in order to favor Eisuke and how amazing he is. In the novel, they have a talk during practice, prompted by Eisuke's willingness to do anything in order to get a hit. He's basically doing yumiate, which isn't the point of kyudo, so Masaki approaches him discreetly and lectures him in the nicest, most indirect way possible, AKA the Zen way. But in the anime, Zen is out the window. Masaki and Eisuke even boast about their school getting stronger and being the one that will crush the other's team, and I can understand Eisuke having that kind of beginner mindset because he's just a teenager, but Masaki? Hello??? Winning isn't the goal. Even having a goal isn't the goal. Kyudo isn't a sport. That's literally the first thing about it and KyoAni forgot. They got so caught up in trying to show off that they completely slipped up in this one. I'm crying blood. They 100% don't realize this was a fail.
Other than that, this scene is all about praising Eisuke, and his only flaw is that he doesn't take it to heart due to his trust issues. Like. At this point, it just feels like we're being force-fed the same information over and over again because Eisuke just keeps getting so much attention, way beyond what seems necessary, while Kirisaki is relegated to the sidelines with Shuu being the only exception (but even he isn't getting as much attention as in the books). It's a little bit too obvious by now that KyoAni is trying to invest in Eisuke as their trumpcard to attract a bigger audience for this season. They're doing with him the same thing they did with Seiya in S1, changing his whole character in a desperate attempt to make him endearing and seem desperate to make the fans like him (as well as Koushirou, by extension). They also have to fill up the extra time they get from trying to get rid of any actually gay content, so they're giving us excessive amounts of him, while simultaneously managing not to expose what truly matters.
I mean, I don't know who else noticed this, but after getting this far into the story and having so much Eisuke content shoved down our throats in every episode, we haven't been presented to a lot of basic things about him. For example, the fact he has photosensibility and that's why he wears a hoodie all the time. Or his claustrophobia. Or his mental and emotional instability. Those are all things that make him relatable, but they're not cute, so there doesn't seem to be much interest in showing that part of him. So yeah, it's not really about Eisuke, it's about how KyoAni can use him as a tool to get viewers hooked while simultaneously buying time.
This trend continues into episode 10, where we begin with a flashback of how Eisuke joined Tsujimine's kyudo club. Eisuke is portrayed as the guy who brought the members of the club together and is leading them single-handedly to the nationals like some messiah. The novel scene where he tries to cheat during practice half-assedly makes it to this episode, with Touma making the mistake instead of Eisuke (for no reason other than not knowing any better) and Eisuke deciding to cover it up instead of doing it himself. Once again, Eisuke is doing something wrong, it's watered down to make him look good even when it's not a good look.
At long last, Minato finally finds out that Eisuke basically sees him and Shuu as enemies on a personal level. Not because he realized it but because Koushirou decided to spill the beans. And yet it doesn't seem to affect him much. In the end, he manages to know and stay clueless at the same time, so there's no need for him to make an effort to process and accept Eisuke and his resentment.
On the topic of Koushirou, he's as out of character as can be, but I like his description of what goes on in his mind when he draws the bow. The Heike reference was great. An awesome nod to how old kyudo is and how much it permeates Japanese culture. Chuunibyou as fuck, but good.
And then there's Masaki and Eisuke's convo at the baths. Nice visual language where Eisuke is in the smaller bath in comparison to Masaki, which highlights that Masaki is more experient, more mature and more knowledgeable, therefore more skilled. The content of the conversation is also good. The only problem is that the anime is getting closer to a territory that I'm not sure it wants to go, which is to present Masaki as an excellent coach only when he's lecturing someone from a different team. When he's teaching Kazemai, he's portrayed a fine mentor, but his real worth only ever seems to be revealed when he's before either Kirisaki or Tsujimine. That's where he truly stands out. Easy to tell that it's because those moments are mostly shown through Minato's perspective in the books, with him either admiring Masaki or longing for him all the while, and KyoAni is having none of that gay shit. But by trying so hard to keep Minato and Masaki five feet apart like two bros sitting in a bathtub, they accidentally make Masaki a better teacher when he's helping out or making demonstrations to rival teams.
I'm losing my mind because, holy crap, what have we come to? Masaki is literally having a bonding moment with Eisuke out of all people before having any bonding moment with Minato this entire season aside from that one scene at Yata Shrine, if you can call that a bonding moment at all. KyoAni has managed to make them barely give a fuck about each other in the span of 10 episodes. Actually, screw that; it managed to give them nothing to care about regarding each other aside from club-related stuff, since KyoAni has rid the anime of anything these two could bond over to begin with. Masaki didn't get his scar saving Minato's life, Minato's hand injury was never a thing, their fight never happened and so neither did their make-up, we never get to see what Minato is thinking outside of the dojo, Masaki's background is never touched upon again aside from archery-related facts, Minato didn't get sick so no hospital scene, etc. The list is endless. They've been stripped bare of any reason to care about each other on a personal level, so they just... don't.
As a result, at least to me, it feels like they barely exist within the story. I feel like I've hardly seen them at all this whole time, even though they were always there. I've learned nothing about them even though we've been shown a lot of stuff about Minato, because almost none of it was his emotions or the inner machinations of his mind. It was mostly just facts. This is probably the most fatal mistake that Yamamura Takuya made in S1, and he's repeating it in S2: he seems to have no interest in Minato as a protagonist.
This anime almost feels like an experiment to prove that Minato and Masaki are so deeply connected to each other as characters that when you take Masaki out of the equation, Minato is almost empty. Nearly every bit of personal information regarding Minato is related to Masaki one way or another, and Minato is usually the readers' gateway to getting to know Masaki. So when KyoAni insists on keeping them away from each other, the result is that they lose a lot of their essence and the story is left with holes in it, which KyoAni tried to fill up with Seiya in the previous season, and now they're using Eisuke for it. In short, Minato is being pushed to the background in the story he was supposed to be leading as the main character while secondary characters are used as a disposable means to draw the audience in because the director apparently can't bring himself to give two shits about him.
And, like, some people will enjoy this season and some won't, but regardless of opinions, this approach is objectively a fail on KyoAni's part. Whether the anime is good or not on its own is up for debate, but as for whether it's a good adaptation or not, I think we can all agree by now that no, it isn't. Not even because it's not faithful to the original, but because it keeps committing these narrative suicides. The plot doesn't care much for its own protagonist and tries to seek depth by latching onto a specific character. Minato is basically becoming a secondary character in his own story.
I think episode 10 did a great job on showcasing that, even though it obviously wasn't the intention. Especially the latter half of it, from the moment Minato and Eisuke get stuck in the elevator. In the novel, this scene was about both of them, but mostly about Minato. In the anime, it's entirely about Eisuke. Minato is literally used as a vessel for more of Eisuke's backstory to be revealed. We don't get Eisuke hyperventilating and Minato helping him stay grounded because he's had the same experience after the car accident that took his mother's life. Instead, we get Eisuke receiving a call from his aunt about Shigeru being hospitalized for the nth time and Eisuke freaking out. We don't get Minato collapsing with a fever from the emotional batter and Masaki taking him to the hospital, which leads to a heart-to-heart and Minato getting the necessary strength to overcome the hurdle. Instead, we get Minato and Masaki taking Eisuke to see Shigeru, and the whole thing is about how Eisuke feels and how helpful they were to him. This ordeal was originally Minato-centric in the books, yet KyoAni does everything in its power to make it be about Eisuke instead, because the original content is too inexcusably gay for the screen.
Which brings us to the last scene of this episode before the credits roll: the car scene. The only thing it has in common with its novel counterpart is that it's a scene where Minato and Masaki are having a conversation in Masaki's car at night in the middle of nowhere. I do like that it added a reference to volume 1, because we completely missed Minato's inner monologue during the last match in S1. But that's about it. We didn't get anything else.
And then the credits roll, and we end this episode with Minato promising that Kazemai will defeat Tsujimine. Again, the whole point of kyudo goes way over KyoAni's head. So does the point of Minato as a character. Minato isn't my favorite character, but I almost feel bad for him. I wish someone in this production team would bother to make him the protagonist aside from when the tournaments are going on.

I know this been asked before, but can I ask again? So if you sort your top fav characters or fav ships from to Hogwarts houses, which houses will they be (in your opinion)? Why?
I'm excited to know your answer like for eruri, asheiji, matchablossom, destiel, horimiya, sasamiya, etc.....
Sorry if I ask too much, thx if you want to answer.....
P.s
I asked because just found your post about JJK & BNHA character if they were in Hogwarts houses.....(And I love it)
I'm gonna be honest, I love these - little character head canons, asks in general, all of it. So don't apologize for asking! I hope you always feel comfortable to do so. I also hope all my anons woke up today with clear skin and found money in an old jacket or something. ✨
Tumblr media
Same disclaimer applies as before. Without further ado, to the Sorting Hat!
Starting with the low hanging fruit 🥁
Kojiro "Joe" Nanjo (SK8 the Infinity) - All brawn, questionable brains but unquestionable talent that makes him a big name around "S". This himbo would of course plinko his way into Hufflepuff but, if we take starting S into consideration and how that translates into the wizarding world, I'd say Gryffindor with Hufflepuff underpinnings.
Kaoru "Cherry" Sakurayashiki (SK* the Infinity) - I am conflicted. Cherry, disciplined calligrapher, renowned skater and member of the S founding fathers is very obviously a Ravenclaw. I'm really just having trouble reconciling his superiority and condescension against what I imagine would be more in line with Slytherin. Also supports the notion of every Hufflepuff having a Slytherin bestie haha but, truly, that's adult Kaoru. Teenage Kaoru was rebellious and genuinely awe inspired by greatness (but still whip smart). Gryffindor with Ravenclaw underpinnings. Bonus: Ainosuke would round the trio out as the Slytherin primary, obviously. May have started out sweet like our dear Sirius but live long enough in a family like that and I suppose it'll get you twisted.
Levi Ackerman (Attack on Titan) - Levi Ackerman is no stranger to Knockturn Alley. He was raised from the darkness, plucked from its depths to attend school and seemed a bit bothered by the whole to do when he had a perfectly decent operation going, small time stuff of course. A loyalist to those he suffered with, Hogwarts gave him purpose beyond what he could imagine and the Sorting Hat was the first... thing(?) to see his potential. Legacy Slytherin, largely unbeknownst to him, but sorted into Gryffindor assured he'd do great things there.
Erwin Smith (Attack on Titan) - Whew. I know the deciding factor for Cherry was young Kaoru vs. adult Kaoru but Erwin Smith is a Ravenclaw. An idealist, but a bit too cavalier with lives of the canon fodder that made up his command. Incredibly intelligent and dedicated which would make you think Gryffindor but Erwin is an "any means necessary" type of leader. Come to think of it, Dumbledore was a Gryffindor so perhaps there's hope there but I defer to your opinion.
Ash Lynx (Banana Fish) - Self taught genius? Ravenclaw. He had Dino's tutor's for a time, sure but uh... I doubt they taught him how to hack computers. He's a self motivated intellectual frequenting the library for a sense of peace. May the halls of Hogwarts provide that to him in the way the city of New York could not. Does not negate how lethal of a threat he can be, if anything, now this kid is strapped all the time, wand at the ready. I can appreciate if someone thinks he should be in Slytherin but I'm sticking to my initial assumption.
Eiji Okumura (Banana Fish) - This 👏🏾 is 👏🏾 a 👏🏾 Hufflepuff 👏🏾. Brazenly lacks fear in the face of gangsters and recognizes, instead, their inherent humanity and that they can need nurturing and help, perhaps more so than others? Oblivious Hufflepuff energy.
Kyouko Hori (Horimiya) - I feel like Hori is a pretty textbook Ravenclaw but I'd consider Gryffindor with a Ravenclaw primary a la Hermione. Part of me is like... Hori would never be as deep in the shit as Hermione got but let's be for real. She'd follow Miyamura into hell if she wasn't already dragging him there.
Izumi Miyamura (Horimiya) - Considering Miyamura's backstory, I'd understand if you disagree but mans is a Hufflepuff. He had no community, nothing to take hold of. But as its' built around him, he appreciates how precarious it is and holds onto it so dearly, even threatened by Yanagi's immersion into the group. Also, he has so many Hufflepuff moments that are so dear to me. Like memorizing the boys' scents so he can recognize if they've been near Hori despite the fact that it is empirically evident that he's more likely to get stolen away from her by one of the guys. Well meaning simpleton, I love him.
Shuumei Sasaki (Sasaki to Miyano) - SHOUTING Hufflepuff. Don't get me wrong, he's no slouch. Sasaki is straight up fearsome when someone gets a little too close to Miyano but we also know his moral code isn't tied specifically to Miyano. Miyano might have been an indirect impetus to help Kuresawa, but I feel like Hirano validates that Sasaki finds himself in fights regardless of "not being good at them" 👀. Gentle giant and will use his size to the advantage of those in need. I saw a post earlier re: succumbing to Sasaki's rizz and how Miyano is like... god tier for not caving sooner. Imagine if this man had access to love potions 😂 kidding, he wouldn't be the type to use them, even the silly ones from the Weasley's but still. Sasaki + magic would simply be too powerful.
Yoshikazu Miyano (Sasaki to Miyano) - IMAGINE MIYANO PERUSING THE RESTRICTED AREA ON THE HUNT FOR BL. I just cackled aloud at the thought. Then you have hulking Sasaki looming over him drawing attention to the intrusion. Like, "sorry, I'm not seeking out unforgivable curses, just two fictional boys in love." Please. Moving along, Ravenclaw. Easy, and he'd be a Prefect. Sasaki would, of course, frequently be caught using Prefect facilities and trotting along behind Miyano relentlessly. Talk about scary dog privilege.
DESTIEL
I had to break these two away to provide an additional disclaimer to the fact that... these legit stumped me. With 14 seasons of background and the radical character development for both of them, it's hard to pick one house and commit to it for either of them. Especially since they, at different points in their development, are interchangeably fitting into the same houses. I never thought about their development in that way before. Upon my deliberation, please see below. Just know, if you disagree, you're probably right and I probably considered your alternative as well.
Castiel (Supernatural) - Cas spends a great deal of his time locked in his Slytherin era, loyal to an antiquated moral system and acting with impunity which is very much giving Death Eater. But, losing his religion, his direction and beneath the weight of all that presumed obligation is a Hufflepuff. In the absence of a belief system, he begins to consider humanity with an unencumbered curiosity, seeks community with the Winchesters and to help those who are plagued by the Supernatural.
Dean Winchester (Supernatural) - Dean starts out as a Hufflepuff. He's all saving people, hunting things, family business. Intrinsically, does seeking out monsters not meet the immediate criteria of "Finder"? Dean protects family, friends and strangers and, at times, critically balances out Sam's Ravenclaw pragmatism that sends him down weird Slytherin shaped holes (hello, demon blood). This with nothing but an 8th grade education, Baby and a comforting slice of pie. But, as the story progresses, his desperation to protect and keep hold of the people he holds dear pushes him deeper and deeper into Slytherin territory where his individual loyalism can justify jeopardizing the natural order, the fate of the world, anything really as long as he and his brother are both still breathing. Subsequently, his previous impulse to always do the right thing becomes clouded with a bias of the right thing if it doesn't impede protecting Sammy. His willingness to leave Adam to ruin is yet another example of this.
Okay, so I'm noticing a trend here... Do I just like a dynamic of Idiot x Genius (or sometimes nefarious manipulator) or am I just sorting people all wrong? Either way, it feels like I'm revealing wayyyy too much about myself here. What do you think?

Curicó - a fic, I guess
Obligatory "warning, yaoi content included!!!!! dont like don't read!!!!! " except there's no smut
Kaoru felt a yawn well up in his chest, a signal, a sign from his body telling him that he needed to close his eyes and go to sleep. Which was funny, because he'd been trying to do exactly that for hours now.
He huffed in annoyance, and propped himself up on his elbows so he could glare at nothing in particular. He usually fell asleep within minutes. He's heard of people who struggle to fall asleep every night, and he considered himself lucky to not be one of those people, because this sucked.
He blinked away the tiredness from his eyes, and with a defeated groan, he rolled over, and pulled his phone from off of his nightstand. He opened it, and squinted at the screen to check through his notifications.
Something, something, blue light makes it harder to sleep, something, whatever. Kaoru didn't care, and hoped that a little extra stimulation would then push his brain into finally shutting itself down so he could sleep. So he scrolled through some various messages, swiping away the things he didn't particularly feel like responding to, until all that was left were videos and memes that Hikaru had sent him.
Kaoru rested his chin down on his pillow, and opened one of the apps to scroll through what his brother had sent him. And, after a couple of quiet chuckles, he sent back a heart emoji, a way of acknowledging what Hikaru had sent him without actually trying to type out a response. After all, it's hard to find the right words to say "I really enjoyed that meme, especially the part where Walter White showed up in a completely unrelated universe". A heart emoji would do fine.
Kaoru closed that app, thinking that that was all, but he glanced up when he saw another notification pop up from his brother.
why r u up?
Kaoru sighed. It's not like he chose to be.
I could ask you the same thing
He watched as the "Hikaru is typing… " message popped up, and waited to see what the message would be, despite his fingers screaming at him to check another social media app while he waited for the few seconds it would take for his brother to answer him.
can't sleep. u too?
nope.  im gonna kms
noooo ur so sexy :(
Kaoru chuckled softly to himself, and buried his head into his pillow for a moment to let out a loud groan. He could feel the tiredness in his head, but he knew that as soon as he closed his eyes, he'd just want to open them right back up again.
The entire night, he'd been debating on just biting the bullet, and going to sleep in Hikaru's room. It had been his room just yesterday. This was the first night they were sleeping in separate rooms.
And it had been Kaoru's idea. Even when they talked after his hasty decision, he'd opted to take a separate room to help them start their journey of becoming less dependent on each other. To be honest, he was stubborn, and didn't want to face the embarrassment of being the one to go and wake Hikaru up because he couldn't sleep without him.
But Hikaru couldn't sleep either. Kaoru chewed on his lip as he weighed his options. He could at least say that they tried to sleep separately. Maybe the solution was to slowly wean themselves off of each other instead of going cold turkey. And there was no sense torturing themselves the rest of the night when they'd sincerely done their best to go without each other.
Maybe Kaoru was just making excuses.
With a determined sigh, Kaoru lifted himself up from his bed, taking his phone and slipping it into the pocket of his pajama pants, before marching towards the door.
He tiptoed out into the hallway, and quietly closed the door behind him. Carefully, he made his way down the dark hall until he reached his brothers room. Their room.
Kaoru slowly opened the door, and looked inside just in time to see his brother turn his head over towards him. He couldn't help but smile when he saw how Hikaru seemed to perk up as soon as they made eye contact.
"Kaoru!" Hikaru greeted excitedly, and he pushed himself up so he was sitting on the bed. His excitement eventually wavered, and he brought a hand behind his neck to rub it sheepishly as if he felt that he'd gotten overexcited at the sight of his brother. "Er… Hey."
"Hey," Kaoru chuckled in response. "Mind if I come in?"
"You'll never need to ask," Hikaru answered in a more serious tone. Kaoru furrowed his eyebrows a little when he said that. Instead of moving right away, he stayed in the doorway for a few moments, like he was absorbing Hikaru's words and deciding whether or not they were unreal, or just dangerous. In the end, he decided that neither of those things were the case, and Kaoru nodded before stepping inside and closing the door behind him.
They had already moved Kaoru's bed out of this room, by his request, but Hikaru's bed was plenty big enough for the both of them. Hikaru shifted his position over, and pulled the covers a little ways back, giving Kaoru access. Kaoru sat down in the empty spot that Hikaru had provided, but he didn't lay down just yet, and twisted his body so that he could look at his twin.
They stared at each other for a few moments without saying anything. They were so used to always knowing exactly what the other was thinking, and they still do for the most part. But with how things were changing, it took… A little longer, for them to get on the same page.
"Really couldn't sleep, huh?" Kaoru broke the silence, and started to fiddle with the sheets while waiting for an answer.
Hikaru sighed, "Yeah. It's harder than I thought, trying to sleep…. " he trailed off with a frown, staring off at something that wasn't Kaoru.
".... Alone?" Kaoru offered, prompting his brother to turn his head back over to him.
"Yeah," Hikaru cracked a smile. "Maybe I should get a body pillow, or something."
Kaoru snorted at his joke, and rolled his eyes. "I'm not talking to you if you do that."
The two of them shared a snicker together, and Kaoru reached a hand over to clasp into Hikaru's. As their laughter subsided, Kaoru pulled his legs up onto the bed, and shifted underneath the covers while Hikaru moved himself around so that his brother would fit more snugly next to him. Kaoru relaxed his body, and leaned up against Hikaru, but neither of them laid down to sleep just yet.
"Maybe I… " Kaoru mumbled, "... Jumped the gun a little bit on this whole individuality thing."
"You're telling me," Hikaru scoffed light-heartedly, and wrapped his arm around Kaoru so he could squeeze him. "I love you, Kaoru. But god, you're really stupid sometimes."
"Thanks," Kaoru rolled his eyes, and did his best to jab his brother in the ribs with his elbow. "You suck."
"Just sayin'," Hikaru laughed, and squeezed his twin tighter to make it harder for Kaoru to maneuver himself around. "Was your only plan really to try and hurt me so that I'd distance myself from you?"
Kaoru didn't answer. The twins weren't looking at each other, and Hikaru wouldn't have been able to see him very well in the dark anyway, but his silence told him everything. He sighed, and rested his head up against Kaoru's, and the two of them shared the silence for a while.
"I'm sorry, Hikaru," Kaoru mumbled eventually. "I didn't know what else to do."
It was Hikaru's turn to lapse into silence this time, but they only squeezed together closer. Kaoru was the one to gently turn and move his head so that their cheeks were rubbing together like cats, and Hikaru reciprocated the movements.
"I know you didn't," he murmured. "But we don't… We don't have to jump right into this, y'know?"
"Mhm."
"I know we're not usually ones to take things slow, but… Just this once?"
"Mhm."
"... Are you even listening, Kaoru?"
"Mhm."
Hikaru could feel his twin smile at that, and he couldn't help but smile too. He knew Kaoru was going to answer with that again, whether it was because he was actually listening or because he was just a smartass. He felt Kaoru lift his head off of his, and he turned to face him just in time for Kaoru to gently rest his forehead against Hikaru's. He watched his brother with what he could only describe as affection, as his other half closed his eyes with content.
"I want you to be happy, Hikaru," he said quietly.
"I'm happy with you." Hikaru answered quickly. Kaoru opened his eyes to meet his gaze, and Hikaru smiled as he did. "I'm serious."
"I know you are," Kaoru chuckled softly. "But you need other people in your life to be your happiest."
Hikaru opened his mouth to say something, but closed it again quickly, and looked to the side, resisting the urge to roll his eyes. "Okay- Yeah. But that doesn't mean I don't need you, too."
"Hikaru-"
"Kaoru." He cut him off, and met his eyes again, but he didn't say anything else. Kaoru pursed his lips and gave him a long look, before he continued.
"Hikaru, you need to become someone. Someone who isn't just 'the twin that isn't Kaoru'," he explained gently.
"I know that," Hikaru's voice was a little strained, as if he were trying to contain his frustration. "But Jesus Christ, what if- What if these differences push us apart? What if they make us weaker?"
Hikaru pulled his head away from Kaoru to give him an apprehensive look. "I mean, if someone hurts one of us, they hurt both of us. And we can be there for each other, but if we're different, if we're not the same, then we might end up hurting each other! We already-"
Hikaru didn't finish his sentence. He clenched his jaw shut, and he looked down with furrowed eyebrows. The room filled with silence once more, and Hikaru swallowed when he felt a hand on his cheek.
"I think," Kaoru began slowly. "That those differences are only going to bring us closer together."
He noticed the skeptical look on Hikaru's face, and took that as a sign that he needed to continue, "I mean… We're like… Mirrors of each other. We're both… " he looked away with a nervous cough. "Uh… Emotionally difficult. Just, in different ways.
"Like, I usually notice how you're feeling way before you do. I understand what and why you have those emotions before you even realize what they are. If all we had done was try to be the same person like always, when would you have realized how much Haruhi meant to you had I not said anything?"
Hikaru didn't answer. But Kaoru knew he was listening.
"You're more emotionally reactive than me. That's just how we're different already," Kaoru explained gently, and watched his brother intently until he saw the other nod slowly.
"Right. And if we were both just like me, it would be disastrous, huh?" Hikaru quipped, and a small smile finally returned to his face. Kaoru laughed at that.
"Sure. But it'd be equally disastrous if we were both me."
Hikaru raised an eyebrow, watching as his twin took a deep breath. If there were a bit more lighting in the room, he might've seen the way Kaoru's cheeks were turning slightly red.
"I uh… I get my head stuck in the clouds. A lot. I'm always looking down on everyone else, and trying to look too far ahead, that I forget that I'm also here."
Kaoru found Hikaru's hand with his own, and entwined their fingers together with a soft chuckle. "You uh… You're the one who usually grounds me. Brings me back to Earth. Remind me that I need to be living in the moment as much as, if not more, than thinking about the future."
Hikaru let out a long sigh through his nose, and pursed his lips as he thought about his brother's words. He squeezed Kaoru's hand tightly, and let his head fall back forward against his twins. "You are up in your own head a lot. I guess that's where you get all your bad ideas from, huh?"
Kaoru laughed, and closed his eyes with a smile. "I suppose, yeah. The point is, you were right about us having a special bond. We compliment each other. The fact that we're different is only going to let us know each other more thoroughly."
 "... I think… I think I can work with that. You're lucky you're so convincing."
“There are a lot of ways I can convince you, Hikaru, and you know it.”
“I bet you couldn’t prove it,”
Hikaru smirked at his brother in a way that was almost challenging, and Kaoru lifted his eyebrows in amusement. They held each other's gaze for a few moments, until Kaoru took Hikaru's chin in his hand, and brought his face closer to his so he could start a kiss. Hikaru reacted like he was totally expecting it, and parted his lips to waste no time in deepening the kiss.
If there was one thing they knew, it was that this, this part of their relationship, would never change. Their affections, the familiarity, the comfort, would always be there when they came home.
Kaoru moved his hand through Hikaru's hair as they kissed. The road they'd just started on was a terrifying one. A road with a fork in the middle, where each of them would have to find themselves… Alone. To travel to some places alone. To meet other people alone.
Hikaru pulled away from the kiss to catch a breath, and they both panted in the darkness. Their vision had adjusted to the darkness, and they could see each other, and the way they looked at each other. Even if the road ahead was frightening, it would always lead to the same place; with each other.
Kaoru smiled as those comforting thoughts -which had mostly come from him- came to a conclusion, and Hikaru smiled back at him. And, Hikaru smiling caused Kaoru to smile wider, and vice versa, until they couldn't smile any wider, and instead just went back in for another kiss.
Both of them were too tired to put anything more than a little tongue into the kiss, but it was passionate enough. They could feel each other's affection through their body language, and the emotion that was in it. When they broke off the kiss once again, they rested their foreheads back against each other, and stayed there for a moment, letting the silence envelop them.
"I've always loved you, Hikaru," Kaoru said eventually. "I love you now. And… I look forward to falling in love with who you become."
Hikaru raised his head to look at him with a faint blush tinting his cheeks, and he giggled like a schoolgirl with a crush. "When'd you get so poetic?"
Kaoru chuckled, and shrugged. "Dunno. Guess that's one of our differences."
"You sayin I'm not poetic?" Hikaru scoffed, and poked Kaoru in the ribs. Kaoru gasped, and swatted at his hand.
"I'm saying that it doesn't suit you."
"Poetry suits me just fine!"
"Sure, if you're the subject."
"What's that supposed to mean?!"
"See? You have no idea what you're talking about."
Hikaru pouted at their squabble, and Kaoru rolled his eyes at his dramatism. "I'm tired. Can we sleep now?"
"I guess," Hikaru mumbled, and dramatically jerked his body underneath the covers like a kid throwing a tantrum. Just to annoy him, he pulled the blanket as much as he could away from Kaoru, who let out a soft 'hey' before trying to take it back.
The two couldn't help but break out into laughter as they tussled over the blanket, and before long, they both gave up, and settled down underneath it.
As they adjusted themselves until they were comfortable, Kaoru let out a content sigh. With his arms wrapping around his brother, he squeezed him gently, and rested his head down on the pillow. Hikaru did the same, and Kaoru started to close his eyes to sleep.
"I'll always love you too, Kaoru," Hikaru said softly. Kaoru opened his eyes again for just a moment, to look at him.
".... I know that now. Goodnight, Hikaru."
"Goodnight, Kaoru."

Note
thinking about sappy kaoru again thank u 🌊 anon
(afab!reader)
i think kaoru likes to spank and degrade you (with praises between them too, like "such a pretty whore aren't you?") during sex. after you delivered his child, it just. never happened again.
obviously, he'd go slow for the first time after you're cleared. but after that, you kept expecting him to spank you and call you his whore, but it never came. instead, he developed a habit of holding you as close as he could and worshipping your body each time, even when he's being a little rough. of course he does that too before he knocked you up, but he gets... noticeably clingier? like his hands must always hold you, and his lips must always utter praises as if you were a deity sent to him. (not that you're complaining tho it makes you melt)
after he cleaned you up one night, as you two were cuddling, you asked him about it. kaoru was taken aback by your question, but he immediately answered by saying "you spent 9 months carrying my— our baby and taking care of them. i can only treat you with nothing but love as a way of thanking you for those period", though he continued that he doesn't mind if you want him to do that again.
and to be honest? you're content with this side of kaoru in bed, so you explained that you love it when he's all soft. kaoru chuckled at your response, before placing a soft kiss on your lips and muttering "i love you" for the nth time that night.
(i literally rushed this so sorry if there's any mistake😭 i wrote this in a public library... why do i keep getting ideas when i'm in public anyway what the hell💔)
