#poorly drawn mdzs#mdzs#wei wuxian#wen qing#wen ning#Sibling similarity but you only see it when you realize they have the same soggy eyes.#These two always struck me as a bit of a play on Jiang Cheng and Jiang Yanli for 'siblings who contrast each other.#But after spending a lot more time marinating on Wen Ning I actually think they are way more similar that is initially apparent.#Sure their surface level personality traits are pretty contrastive. But they both are so willing to risk their lives for what's right#Who raised them? In a story so full of examples of how parents shape their children - why are these two lacking in parents?#I imagine that Wen Qing is the older sibling and so her morals of 'help those who need it no matter who they are' got passed a long.#But how did *she* arrive there? Was that instilled within her or was it a reaction against bearing witness to callousness and cruelty?#We'll never know..the only thing I can say for certain is Wen Qing is *so* soggy in the audio drama.#She's like the ant with the bindle. It's a hell of a way to bring a previously sharp tongued character back into the narritive.#Side note: Thank you all for being so patient and kind while I took my break!#It's been a very chaotic few weeks and I didn't realize how bad my burnout was getting. One of my cats had to get his leg amputated today, he is doing fine now, everything went well,,, for some reason he decided to rest in his litter box

Okay I just reblogged a post about Carol Holiday and now I am having Thoughts (definitely thoughts that have been articulated by other people, but even so):
-When Noelle made the paper snowflakes, Carol brought them to her home (despite Noelle wanting her to bring them to work). -It's repeatedly emphasized that Carol keeps important things at home, so Carol clearly considered her daughter's creations to be important. She CARES about her daughter... -...But then she encased the snowflakes in metal, and made Noelle cry. -By trying so hard to hold onto the snowflakes forever - preventing them from ever getting torn up or damaged - she only ended up negating their original purpose and fundamentally warping their very nature, to the point where the sight became a source of distress. -This is 100% definitely going to come back in a BIG way re: Dess.

the fury that you get as a result of killing the tower is so much harder for me than the one you get for running away from the adversary, specifically because of the option to just let her vent her anger to you. or rather, ON you. in this version, broken doesn't stay with you. he doesn't comfort anyone. by the end of the torture, you're left completely and utterly alone. all of your voices have left. and i understand why, bc the tower is broken's direct counterpart, and he does sound like smitten when speaking of her, so killing her is a deep betrayal to him. you've hurt him by hurting her, and that hurt carries over to her version of the fury and intensifies when he sees what she has become as a result of your actions. he can't take it, so he leaves you to your torment bc this is what you deserve for defying and then defiling the angel-turning-goddess that he wanted to find comfort in. it was just so sad to me bc i did the adversary version first and found comfort in broken, and then i did the tower version some time after and knew that i had betrayed not just her, but also him
#slay the princess#i like the fury route bc you can hear that she's becoming more and more tired as it goes on#she realizes as she's tormenting you that this isn't what she really wants#it's not helping to make her feel any better#she was robbed of something and can never get it back#but i do greatly enjoy the differences between the two iterations#fighting back against the tower version with the help of stubborn (and later cold) was fun and cool#the conclusion of that particular action was very interesting to me#and i'm sure i can think of something coherent on it later but we'll see

Caine is an antagonist, but not by active choice, he doesn't know he's not helping. He doesn't feel a whole spectrum of human emotions (he's an AI).
"Caine canonically just lets things happen if he thinks it's funny."
Characters eat like Chao in Chao garden in Sonic. The characters can eat the food, but they can't digest it.
Jax's favorite food is spaghetti.
Pomni likes salmon.
Q "Was the ending a 'Last Supper' reference?" A "in a very superficial kinda way yeah." Religious stuff is sometimes just used for the funny.
Gooseworx tumblr sketches MAY or MAY NOT be canon to the series, so it's up in the air for every single one.
People can abstract from feeling too much pain if it breaks their mind from it being too much. Characters feel pain from things, but not as intensely as they would in real life.
Zooble is gonna swap parts every episode (implying they have spare parts) except their body & head.
Jax chose his own name & gooseworx likes to think he chose Gangle's name.
Ragatha was named "Emmy" originally.
They (the cast of characters trapped in the circus) can't change their clothes but Caine can. It's part of their skin sorta kinda.
There's empty space under Pomni's hat because video game model physics.
Spamton was partially inspo for Caine, Caine's VA did Spamton dubs.
Gangle only has 2 masks. Why's it (her hapiness mask) break all the time? Mental state, but the "real her" is "harder to break."
Kaumfo was gonna be part of the main cast originally before Jax.
Kaufmo's model has nothing below the waist at this time, but was made for that promotional image on twitter.
Q "What kinda person was Kaufmo?" A "He was the same as Ragatha in a sense, goofy & cheery, sometimes toxic levels of positivity."
