This is obviously BEYOND MY WILDEST FUCKING DREAMS AND I CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH HOLY SHIT. I didn't even realize it until I added it all together. (On top of this, we sold several fucking tens of thousands of games for Games for Gaza!! Hell yeah!)

For my fellow solo devs out there, this comes to Slasher U making a total of about $6,000 + $2,000 net USD through sales (the former) and crowdfunding (the latter, for Slasher U: Act 2) over the last 11ish months!! The game started off being free for the first 6ish months, then went to $6.69 for the Beta (with dong! whoa!!), and now at its full size, stands at a good ol' $14.99 for 15 hours of primo datin' sim!

This is objectively the most money I've ever made off of anything I've developed in my entire life, and paid my whole ass rent for the entire year, so THANK YOU HOLY SHIT. 2009 Smackdown/ECW house show - pretty basic house show with a lot of top stars not coming to my lil hometown, but Christian saw me in the crowd and brought me in the ring to pose with his belt so this is the GOAT for me and why Christian is always my #1 guy forever

AEW All Out 2021 - what can I even say about this one. I got tickets becaue I wanted to see hangman/omega but I didn't think my dude christian would be in the main event or that i'd get one of the best wrestling shows ever with this one. fun fact you can see me geeking out the whole show ESPECIALLY when the main event is about to start and I get all hype about Christian being in the main event

AEW Full Gear 2021 - I thought all out would be my only chance to see wrestling that year (I got my shots if you're wondering) then there was a schedule change and my state got Full Gear, and the Hangman/Omega match I spetn forever daydreaming about ended up being something I was actually able to attend. this was another amazing show but the highlight was definitely omega/page, seeing the conclusion of that wonderful storyline in person is oemthing burned into my memory. also getting to see christian win an amazing match with jungle boy and luchasaurus against cole and the bucks was nice (can you tell I'm maybe a bit obsessed with christian LOL)

Raw 2005 house show - the first wrestling show I ever saw live, i got to see shawn michaels, batista, and of course christian (how could i not mention that?!?!) it's a formative moment in my life

judgment day 2005 / bragging rights 2010 (tie) - my first PPV and a maybe not big PPV but one I had a lot of fun at. I am incredibly grateful i got to see eddie guererro live at judgment day a few months before he passed away, even muscling through seeing the incredibly embarrassing kurt angle/booker t feud with my entire family by me. i also got to see Big Match John's first world title defense ever where he bled buckets and it was very cool. bragging rights is important to me because I love the stupid buried alive matches and am agog I got to see one in person, and spent so long trying to see frigging undertaker live and that was my first live show with him there. also of note at these shows was edge and rey mysterio winning a cool elimination tag match, my first live title change featuring david otunga, heidenreich bringing a plant in the ring to talk about minny freaking apolis, and uhhhh other things!

I had this lovely dream and I woke up and texted myself the rough outline of it so I would remember and I'm going to write it down here now before I forget it.

In this dream, instead of leaving Fenway right away to sit in useless traffic, I stuck around aimlessly, and I was scrolling through my phone when Patrick stump sought me out, which isn't even the strangest part of this dream, because what he said to me was "Tell your dad he's like this close" and he put his fingers really close together "to being a professional drummer." And I was like ????? And it turned out my father had played the drums at the Fenway show??????

Now my father didn't even go to the Fenway show but I dream logic I accepted that this had happened and was like "omg!!!!" And apparently there was a Drumming Emergency and they were like "does anybody know how to play the drums?" Like looking for a doctor on a plane, and my father volunteered. Again, in dream logic, I did not question why I had missed all of this lol

My father does IRL play the drums and in the dream I told Patrick his real story, about how he'd always wanted to play the drums but he had a rough childhood that wasn't the kind of childhood where there was money or even attention for a child's dreams and so he didn't take up the drums until he was in his 40s, and imagine having something you wanted to do but not being able to do it until your life was half over. And Patrick listened so hard and so kindly with all his attention on me, it was really striking, I remember this because even in the dream I was like "he doesn't care about this!!!!" In my head as I was rambling at him but he was so, so kind and focused on me and we had a whole conversation about being lucky to do the things we love to donate early ages (I did not tell him my thing is writing because even in the dream I was thinking, "well, clearly can't get into what I write so just don't mention that" lol)

Then Pete came looking for Patrick and he told them how my dad had been the drummer and I was like "look, I am amazed, I could not tell the difference, I really thought it was Andy, not like during the Tosh shows when I could tell it was a different drummer" and I actually added an aside "I watched the Tosh shows via stream" like they needed the clarification and Patrick was like "no, I totally agree" and Pete was like "I didn't think Tosh sounded that different from Andy" and Patrick gave him a look and was like "Pete" and Pete kind of shrugged and then they were off.

And I was texting my father the night things Patrick had said about him and then my father showed up and I was like "OMG WHAT EVEN IS GOING ON TELL ME EVERYTHING" and he was like "I knew you would be like this sigh" lol and I was like "you don't even know fall out boy songs!! How could you play the drums to them!!!" And he was like "yeah, Patrick was worried about that too" like oh, yeah, now he's on first-name basis with Patrick Stump I was just agog at him in this dream and then he was like "but he's pretty casual about the setlist so if there was any song I didn't want to play he said we could switch it" and then I was like "was Fenway really loud?? We sounded like we were really loud, what did it sound like on stage?"

And then he sighed and was like "I knew you would be like this so I made this recording" and handed me his phone (least realistic part of this dream, my father has no idea how to make a recording on his phone). I think the end of this recording was meant to be the concert from the drummers perspective but the beginning was my father's audition? And he played some original piece, like, just fooling around on the drums. It got to the point" and I was like "this is the most Pete Wentz thing I have ever heard" and on the recording Patrick was like "yes okay moving along" lololol because Patrick just affably deals with Pete's tangents all the time.

And then I said to my friend (who was suddenly there) mournfully in the dream, "Patrick is just like how I write him and that is so, so bad. It would have been better if he were nothing like that" and my friend was like "why? You didn't want him to be nice?" And I was like "this means people like Patrick exist in the world and actually that is deeply annoying" and then, with this bit of wisdom, I woke up.

And then immediately texted the highlights to myself.

And then went back to sleep lol

Sometimes my brain gifts me with really narrative dreams like this where people just turn out to be really nice and kind and people you just would like to be real life friends with and I think my brain intends these dreams as a treat for me AND THEY ARE but also there's always this disconcerting moment when you wake up and...you're not friends with Patrick stump lol

this show has absolutely floored me btw. i am agog. the themes were themeing, the performances were performing... i honestly think s2 was better than the first series and that's saying something because I really enjoyed s1. definitely one of the better tv shows i've seen in a while

i was mildly spoilered on here but not in a way that matters ❤️ (also I'm not someone who cares about spoilers that much lol so I wasn't blacklisting) like it really made no difference, because the things I saw were either very predictable (claudia dying, lestat returning in general) or made no sense out of context and the main beats were still as impactful as they were meant to be, I think. I could NOT have predicted lestat returning the way he did, either in new orleans or at the (count olaf voice) theatre

speaking of the theatre, what a GREAT device that was. from a technical standpoint the set and visuals were absolutely gorgeous and just so effective. and SANTIAGO. what a delight to watch him on my screen. great chemistry with the other cast members. i particularly enjoyed how he was played off lestat at the trial, the tensions were crazy and you could see this guy who was used to the limelight being suddenly dimmed by lestat's command of the audience. his death was great but kind of a shame just because he was so entertaining to watch lol

lestat. like i said sam reid was born to play this character and he absolutely eats up the scenery like WHAT a performance, start to finish. ive seen some "discourse" about he sucks and i feel like that's not the point. they are all evil because they are vampires who kill people so let's start there. Anyway, he was brilliant as always, his vulnerability AND his exuberance and all of it. lestat they could never make me hate you❤️

the scene at the end between between louis and lestat amidst the hurricane in new orleans... i had my hand over my mouth the entire time, i was GASPING i was heartbroken. jacob anderson another impeccable performance as louis, absolutely smashed it. the chemistry between reid and anderson is WILD whenever they're around each other i am going insane

armand, i'm so obsessed with him. he really got to let loose this season after being somewhat understated for most of s1 and assad zaman DELIEVERED. boy did he deliver. i absolutely love him, i am naming my three children after him

claudia 💔 it was obvious what was coming since she was introduced in s1. delainey hayles brought such complexity to the role. i can't believe she's english like jacob anderson, admittedly my familiarity with new orleans accent is limited so idk how well they did. madeleine was also excellent. im insane about it

daniel molloy both younger and elder.... so good. loved seeing the friendship growing between him and louis and their history. loved seeing him and armand being insane in a room together. daniel molloy the accidental couples therapist that you are ❤️

other notes:

i am glad i'm not french because i think their accents would bother me lol. (gus fring breaking bad's spanish really took me out of what was otherwise a great performance). Even while not speaking French I could tell a few were meh, especially secondary actors. But I also know this must be difficult to do, and if it doesn't impact the performance too much it's fine.

the sartre cameo and daft punk reference.. im lmao. but apart from that the level of detail and care given to recreating post war paris... just phenomenal

i'm starting to think maybe i just like vampires. I was always like 'vampires arent really my thing and buffy is the exception' but idk idk maybe i'll read the books

different anon jumping in here but hot damn i'd read 500k of just your slice of life vignettes about this ls/es crossover. plot is so beyond unnecessary for this one holy shit just please hit a million word count giving us this juice. not sure if you had plans for first time/established but i'm now fantasizing about the added layers of all the varieties of it. the dark spiraly angst of es!bros who never crossed the line and have just barely begun to think about it, all naked panic and throes of guilt and excitement, trapped in a timeline with ls!bros who crossed it years back and can't help poking at the es versions of themselves bc they both know how hard it was for them. or, even better, if all 4 are still sort of peeking over the fence at the possibilities and ls!bros are going on year 30 of angsty mutual pining and here come the versions of themselves who made these emotions the ugliest that they ever were ... yum. yummyyyyyy please keep going

in my head, i've been picturing ES!Sam&Dean as being not "together," and as LS!Sam&Dean as being pretty firmly together/established.

it happened around a year and a half back, the slow realization that they both felt the same way, that the ownership and protectiveness and fear that close wouldn't be close enough, that they had for a while--single digits while. there wasn't any big "thing" that did it, just a bad hunt and a slow recovery and with all the god business, it just seems fair that they finally get to have this. it doesn't even feel like anything "new," more like an extension of what they already are to each other, what they already do. more of an equilibrium, a homeostasis, the world settling back into how it is supposed to be.

sometimes dean finds himself in the reflex of leaning away before he remembers that he can actually lean forward if he wants to. sam kicks his brother's shins under the table when he's being a dick but kisses him afterwards.

but ES!Sam&Dean are still stuck in the early stages. ES!Dean spent years mourning and hating sam for leaving, thumbing old polaroids of him in his middle school theater costume until the film starts to peel away and the picture underneath chips. sam had been hoping that the time apart would make his stomach less riotous, something with more ability to be tamed, but after jess and during the quiet moments spent in motel rooms, driving while sun filters through the windscreen and warming denim-clad legs and old leather, sam realizes that nothing has changed.

it makes him feel even more wretched because was he using jess this whole time? no. he loved her. he really did. dean just chips away at the hardest parts of his grief, the most isolating, with quips and burgers and big, earnest eyes. but how can someone find space for anything that's not dean in their chest, when he looks over with a betrayed moue and his hand glued to a beer bottle?

with sam's nightmares shaking him awake almost nightly, they've gotten in the habit of touching each other, fingers on wrists and dean's palm at the back of his neck and ankles crossing under tables and eyes tracking chapped lips and sides pressed together all the way down shoulders-biceps-forearms-waists-hips-thighs.

so when ES!Dean tries to find LS!Dean to ask him about the keys to the armory--because, hey, cool--he sees the door to his bedroom open. he sees the two pillows. sam's house shoes on one side of the bed. dean's on the other. the lube on the fucking nightstand that they don't even bother to put away because who ever comes over

and ES!Dean is...floored. fucking agog. and he gets even more flustered around LS!Sam and more convinced that this is some kind of alternate timeline/universe or something in which sam actually wants him back

he's blushing whenever LS!Sam looks at him and can't stop looking up at his not-so-little brother, built like a statue and making dean sweat with his fond smiles. he can't stop jerking off to imagining what it would be like to pull him down into a kiss, or feeling him from behind as he presses in. and this makes LS!Dean even more unworthy in ES!Dean's opinion, a murdering bastard drowning in gold and splendour. he thinks about it all the time--can't stop thinking about it. ES!Dean tries to catch LS!Sam's attention like 'me too, right? i'm good enough too, right?'

plus, it also fuels his anger at LS!Dean bc how did sam find out? how did this happen? did you force sam into this, you sick fuck? we swore on mom's grave that he'd never find out. no way sam actually wants us, no fucking shot.

if ES!Sam finds out, it would all kind of blow up, i think. it would be messy and sam would be furious because is that what ES!Dean's been trying to do and why he suddenly can't look either sam in the eye?? he wants to fuck LS!Sam?? what is different about him that ES!Sam doesn't have? it's kind of a betrayal on both fronts: a brother that only wants a specific not-ES!Sam version of sam, and a version of his older self that steals his brother out from under him.

not to mention, the whole time LS!Sam&Dean are looking at their younger selves with a weird mix of glee and pity, bc they don't even know yet, know what the word "brother" means, how it can mean everything at once, and to what extents they are willing to go to keep each other.

ARGH! it would be so messy!!! the tangled webs of longing and possession and just sheer goddamn need!

but anon!!!! you're so right!!!!!!!!! if neither of them are together, and suddenly they have to interact with these younger versions of themselves, who, if they can't have each other--who knows? with their big eyes and clear admiration and longing? these feelings have never been easy, but with ES!Sam&Dean, they're so messy. they bleed want, and it's agonizing to witness. idk...makes u think...

Day 3 of playing Love and Deepspace and I have to say that I'm still enjoying it! There're a lot of things to do here. I feel like the gacha system is okay, compared with other gacha-based games. Though I'm not sure if that will change when the official version is released.

As for the storyline, I don't know lmao. I'm just going with the flow, and so far it hasn't incensed me in any way. The combat feature prevents me from bulldozing through the chapters, though. Is there a lock-on feature during combat? I don't think I saw it. I just dread when the battles require minimum levels -- I haven't invested much on levelling up my cards lol.

But, see, the thing that I'm most invested about in this game, is the dating feature LOL

There are so many ways that you can interact with your fave man! Social media, text, call, coffee date -- god, you can even touch his ass and he reacts so cutely I wanna cry 😭🙏 The 1st-person POV here is interesting! And since you can customize MC's appearance (at least the face), you can somewhat feel that you're truly involved in the story (or at least the romantic ones).

So while the SR and SSR cards both have featured stories, it's different in that SR cards mainly have audio stories (like a drama CD! my drama-CD-loving self is agog with joy) and SSR cards have the full set, so to speak.

I love these features, I really do. But you know what makes me love it more? CN voices 😂 I think for this beta version I can only access the EN voices and hoo boy. Unfortunately it's a miss for me. I don't think the EN voices had captured the nuances of the characters' personalities. Like, take Rafayel (Qi Yi) for example. In the CN and even JP versions, he has a slightly higher (nasal?) voice pitch, and he's a little bratty and a diva (affectionate). You can glean from the way he behaves and moves in the interaction feature that he has that kind of personality. His EN voice diminishes that, however. His EN voice is deeper and has this tone and accent that is distinctively American (Californian? I ... don't know, but it's def American), and it's taking me out so much 😂😭 He could also be a little brattier in his enunciations. He didn't even react similarly to CN and JP versions in that famous face-grabbing interaction. I'm inclined to think that the voice actors were given the scripts with just a brief character description without showing them some extensive scenes, and these are not the final versions. Hopefully the EN voices improve in the official game. (Still, CN voices all the way for me.)

What else? The music. The soundtrack of this game is absolutely gorgeous. I can listen to it all day.

I hope that there's a way to keep the items we get in this version for the official game? I understand going back to square one, but I do want to keep the diamonds and other materials (and the cards? lol) because they're important haha.

Anyhoo, I'm absolutely gonna write for Qi Yi too and it's gonna be spicy ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I recently discovered SmoLaw through an anon over on Xam's blog, and am really enjoying what I've read, do you have any thoughts on it as a ship?

I quite like it! I've seen a lot of good art of it, and a few solid doujinshis too.

I like it because there's a lot of ways for it to be and still be very in character for them. The forbidden romance idea, the modern AU, the Smoker saving Law from Doffy's abuse, etc. etc.

I love it most as a kind of frenemies to lovers type deal. You know, the Smoker would've 100% sent him to impel down if he had managed to capture him at Punk Hazard, but this back and forth just keeps getting heavier, and he can't ignore how it feels. Ah, the angst!

The TENSION! The chase. /gremlin noises/

I love the thought of Smoker spending his Life convinced his feelings would never be returned, only to be in a desperate situation, and just completely agog as Law is agreeing to do The Surgery™ in exchange for Smoker's safety. The worst time for the White Hunter to realize how deeply loved he was in return \lol/

There's not a whole lot of people I see Law willingly bottoming/subbing to, but I think Smoker would be one. (Smoker better not drop his guard though, unless he wants to >.> )

But yes, I like it as a ship - I haven't really come across a ship I don't like. I mean, some I haven't though of before - and I'm admittedly not a ASL shipper in any combination (they are way too sibling for it to vibe for me, but I mean, if that's your flex, flex away.)

Honestly, I just love seeing people's vision of the characters. In art or fics or whatever. Sure, not all of is gonna be a 100 to me, but variety is what keeps the world going. (Plus, I am entirely certain that not everything is made simply to cater to me, but I am delighted by how much there is that *does* delight me XD <3 )

Ah, I side-tracked a little, but yes yes I love them as a ship. I think my favorite dynamic is really just any where they can trade off on who is flustering who and then they smooch. Cause that's cute. And both of them really just deserve a day spa and some godsdamned cuteness.
