Just a bit of lore relevant vent art (with terrible proportions bc apparently I mess that up horribly when I'm tired ugh. Watch me regret posting this tomorrow. The head size is already driving me mad bc it's too big, and I can feel myself wanting to abort this mission already) of Mourynn just, lying down on top of one of those large elevated Pale Tree roots far above the Grove (and far away from everyone else), and during the time between the early years and before the Personal story. Caithe is gone (Destiny's Edge), Wynne is gone (bc well, y'know...), even Faolain is gone (bc of Caithe in DE), and she's just feeling miserable, lost, and alone. (Her hair is in between her sapling hair and the Zhaitan hair, so it's grown out a bit bc she's depressed, and she's meant to be in the new outfit she designed, but I'm in the process of redesigning it a bit, so I've made a few tentative changes for now. Her collar is now just an extension of her clavicle leaves which can be put up like a collar, or can be draped down over her shoulders or back)

I mean to ask if the other's okay, one on them pinch himself on his arm the other respond by pinching his other arm to say yes or no (and if there is no answer, well that is obviously very bad).

I work from home and sometimes work gets veeeeery boring and people like sending me asks lol so I just check my phone regularly (i can't open tumblr in my company pc lol) 🙈 that and I also draw fast! So sometimes I just draw stuff while on company time cause like, not my fault they're on the 1827392th zoom meeting of the day and I have ADHD lol

Just a silly thought I had in mind for the past few days, because I read DP&W World War III (which also got me emotional thank u very much) and now I need some Poolverine apocalyptic-feeling void AU with this Logan and this Wade?

I mean, just imagine. And they would both be kinda feral and so different at the start, would meet in the void like that and just start fighting because it's the only thing both know. They're still brainwashed but some memories and personality come back slowly but surely.

Ofc there's more depth and all, I'm just throwing this at you all for now, because I would love to write it and I have to get it out of my head rn... :)

Dorothy would come from a very devoted loving household.

Her father would be in the house with her when the tornado hit and would be her guide and protector through all their adventures.

Dorothy would absolutely still have a devoted dog.

Dorothy would not go to the Wizard to ask for help. The "kill the Witch" requirement (or some other quest) would be presented early on as the condition she had to fulfill to earn her way home.

Instead of giving life and backstories to inanimate objects (like the land of the porcelain figurines), the people and creatures Dorothy would meet would provide explanations for things that happen in nature (like, explain where the colors of sunset come from).

handler. lost her own family and this forms part of her current motivation towards heading off war. but it's shown that her personal life is in tatters. that she's only living for her job with nothing at home for her anymore. it's unhealthy for her, but the connection with her new dog is a start.

twilight. increasingly at odds between "his mission" and his family. and yet, the whole reason for his mission is to protect the smiles of children. to make it so that they don't have to experience what he did. if he completes his mission and then leaves, he's still inflicting that same heartache onto his family.

at the same time. twilight's mantra that "ignorance is sin" comes from the right place. if tensions are ignored. if people aren't actively leveraging the information they can obtain. that's how war happens.

all the adult characters have experienced war in some capacity and they recognise the pain and suffering it can cause. that's why they work so hard to avert it. but they have to be careful that they don't echo that conflict down onto their own personal lives and younger generations. that they aren't so held back by the spectre of war that they forget to live for themselves.
