a quiet light (a gentle support)
hi gang!! i got this ask a while ago and this has been simmering in my brain ever since. tonight i finally managed to write it down (@iheartdilfs1204 this is for u!!) sooo here's academy era viktor making a leg brace for reader that suffers from knee pain! gender neutral, 2k-ish words, no warnings. this is...sort of vague on all fronts, but, ya know, i'm always here for the chronically ill reader. bon appetit?
It's torture, that's what it is. Pure and simple. Viktor had opened his big stupid mouth before thinking, of course, which – sometimes worked to his benefit, and sometimes it didn't. He'd just wanted to help, and, truly, he’d meant it as nothing more than a friendly gesture of good will, but now you were in his lab, after hours, and it was quiet, and he wasn’t quite sure what to do with himself.
He’d offered to make you a leg brace before he fully even realized he was doing it. The understanding of what he’d just said had settled in like an afterthought, the ‘I could do that for you’ an instinctual response to your musings about how your knee tended to ache and you were maybe thinking of getting something to help. He’d only looked up from his notes when you went quiet, and – it’d been one of those moments again. A single shared heartbeat, an understanding between people who both crawled their way out from the Undercity to live among people who had no idea what it was like.
Viktor knows that while you’d mentioned the leg brace pretty casually, it was everything but; there was a great deal of pain you’d sludge through before paying someone to help, and, it was likely, even more before you’d admit to a weakness. While you hadn’t shared the more personal details of your situation to him, he was fairly sure he knew this, because it’s precisely what he would’ve done, and up in Piltover? A history like his gave a good perspective. You were colleagues, sure, maybe even friends, and he wasn’t arrogant enough to think he’d know what you were thinking most of the time, but…this he was fairly certain of. After all, he’d lived through the same problem. He’d been there. Except he hadn’t had help, then.
“They’d overcharge you for the materials anyway,” he’d continued, writing down something that would most likely end up being redundant later, “and the standard issue ones are never well-fitted.”
You’d shifted in your place. He’d looked up. Met your eyes, waited for another shared second to pass while you clearly assessed his offer.
“That’s probably true,” you’d sighed, then, “you’d do that?”
He’d shrugged. Returned to his notes. “If you want me to,” he’d answered, “I’ve got the experience. And I like to think my…current model is pretty sufficient.”
He’d gone through many versions, many iterations of his own mobility aids over the years. Not all of them had been particularly comfortable to wear, but he’d eventually worked out most of the kinks. And…he was pretty confident that he could make you something that was more comfortable than the cheaply made off-the shelf ones you would find in the very few shops that offered them.
“You’re sure?”
He’d looked at you again. “Yes,” he’d answered, and it’d settled to the bottom of his lungs like a promise; yes, he’d do this. Yes, he’d help. Yes, he’d do what he could to give you any possible support in this stupid high-strung city, because no matter what his position in the Academy was, it still felt like he was an outsider among them. And you were one too. And…sure, maybe he’d jumped at the chance to help a little too quickly, but it was an honest offer. Viktor wasn’t the most social of butterflies, he wasn’t very good at getting close to people, but…he wanted to help if he could. He liked you, and, yes, he would probably have helped any decent person that’d ask, but he also felt a certain quiet sort of solidarity with you. And, truth be told, he wouldn’t turn down an opportunity to spend more time with you, even if he was never really good at saying so.
So, here you are, in his lab after-hours. Shifting in your place like you’re not sure where to go from here. He’d asked you to come, and you had, he just…hadn’t thought much further than that.
He looks at you, and then at his desk, and then it truly strikes him that he does not have the space to be working with a person as a model base in here. But…you’re a trencher, like him. You’re not going to expect a five-star hotel, and for that, he is grateful. God knows he’d been in dingier establishments than this for his own tries at medical treatments.
“So,” he says, studying your posture, “joint pain? Muscle?” You hadn’t been very loud about the nature of your pain before, and he could understand why. It was hard, in the environment of the Academy, surrounded by shiny, polished Piltovians and their idealistic lives to admit that you had problems.
“Joint, mostly” you sigh, adjusting your posture again, and he nods.
“I can work with that,” he notes, “do you know your measurements?”
“Ah, no?” You answer, “do you know many people that know their leg circumference without checking?”
He shrugs, shoves a hand in his pocket. “You might have had a well-hidden passion for tailoring clothes.”
You breathe through a hum. “Sadly, I do not,” you sigh, “I parse a mean hole, but I don’t know my measurements, no.”
He shrugs again, and then, busies himself looking for a measuring tape.
"I don't usually-" he says, then does a vaguely circular hand gesture, "work with live subjects. Well, excluding myself and the occasional plant, but those-"
He shakes his head with a sigh. "Nevermind, that's irrelevant. How do you – want to do this?"
He finds the measuring tape, and looks at it in his hand. Two options; either you measure yourself or he measures you. And, unfortunately, he was suspecting that the latter might be more accurate. You were wearing skin-tight trousers made from light material, which should help, at least, but...
“What do you need?” you ask, and that is not a question that is asked of him often.
It takes him a second to recover from it.
“Circumferences,” he answers, “range of motion. After that, it’s all fine-tuning.” He nods to himself, twirls the measuring tape in his fingers.
You shift your weight from one foot to the other again. “Alright,” you say, nodding, “and how do we get those?”
He explains, to the best of his abilities, that the circumferences of thigh, knee and leg were pretty straightforward, and that the range of motion was a bit more complicated. He’d need to know how much your leg naturally moved – without pain, if possible – and how much it should move to serve optimal functionality. Which…unfortunately, were not always the same thing. He’d need to see you in motion to do this, and to be able to measure the bend of your knees.
This is how you end up sitting on the edge of his desk, your legs hanging down, while he’s instructing you to lift or stop or stay still while trying to measure the angles and distances with gentle fingers. It was weird, working with something…alive and warm and not-him, but he tries to adapt a professional approach; asks specifying questions about your ailments to perfect the design.
Does the pain react to situational changes? Temperature, pressure? Weather?
The brace should be as light as possible, to not misalign your posture, or bother you more than what it was worth. Sleek enough that you could hide it under clothes if you wished. Robust enough to not have to worry about. Somewhat adjustable.
You are warm under his hands, and so close he can hear your breathing. In the small, slowly dimming space, it felt like even the dust had stopped moving in the moments between questions and answers, when it was just you and him and the silence.
It tugs at something at the back of his brain; how easy this moment flowed, even when he’d predicted it to be awkward. And maybe it was just him being a perpetual loner, but it was nice, one he got over the shock of–
Of touching someone like this, yes, but also…off approaching a near-medical situation with this level of gentleness.
He’d spent most of his life trying to fix his own problems for as cheap as possible, and he knew too-well what medical treatments could be like, even when paid for. Cold tools, cold attitudes, the people in charge seeing you as nothing more than a problem to get rid of as fast as possible – and he wanted this to be as far from that as possible, so he kept his shoulders relaxed, his voice soft, his fingers gentle. It was true that he didn’t often exercise as much care as he should when working on things for himself, but this? This he tried to handle as carefully as possible. If he could do anything to make you more comfortable, he would.
So he keeps his breathing steady. Keeps talking through the process to let you know what he’s doing and why. Keeps his touches lighter than probably actually necessary, erring on the side of caution. And he, very pointedly, compartmentalizes the part of him that was trying to supply thoughts of in what other kinds of situations he’d perhaps like to see you on his desk.
He didn’t want to be weird about it, so he pretends those thoughts aren’t there while he gently wraps the measuring tape over your thigh.
“Lift, please,” he exhales, without looking up, and you do, and Viktor can feel your muscles move under his fingers. But that’s just a professional observation. He’d keep his…unprofessional cravings under wraps, at least for now.
This was just another thing he was working on.
And if he’d do it well, it might just change your life for the better, and – personally, Viktor was of the opinion that you, and him, and everyone else from the Undercity had suffered enough already. He wanted to help.
So when he’s satisfied with his notes, he leans back with a sigh and a nod, and looks up at you. You’re already watching him, eyes curious. And he’s suddenly very aware of the rest of the room, quiet and creeping at the back of his mind as you wait for his next move. The air feels colder now that he’s not touching you anymore.
That’s probably good.
“This should be enough,” he says, waves a hand towards the scribblings on his notebook, “I’ll get it to you in, hm, a week?” He could probably do it faster, but he didn’t want to get your hopes up unless he couldn’t. He’d need to double-check the materials.
You just look at him for a moment, frozen in…something. Then, “Can I…do something for you in return?”
Ah. The age-old tradition of bargaining. “Hm,” he says, glancing at his notes again, “if you want,” he shrugs a little, “but I don’t think that’s necessary.”
He knows saying that isn’t going to change things. It’s clear in the way you’re looking at him; you’re going to do something for him in return, and it isn’t optional. Not that he’s objecting, he’s not…against spending more time with you, by all means, but he hopes he’d sounded sincere enough that you really don’t need to. He’d spend his time tinkering with something anyway, so it might as well be something that helps.
“What do you want?” You ask, leaning closer with your hands on the edge of his desk, and that, again, is something he isn’t asked often. It’s not something he thinks about often; his life is too full of other priorities for his own wants to matter much. But this gets his brain going before he can stop it;
More, it supplies, more time with you. More of whatever this is. And it feels selfish, and he knows that, but…
He shrugs again. “Not much,” he answers, “just whatever you think is good.”

‘The Apprentice’ Oscar Nominees Sebastian Stan & Jeremy Strong On Why It’s “More Of A Horror Movie” With “Monstrous Egos”
By Antonia Blyth
Tumblr media
To say that Sebastian Stan and Jeremy Strong, stars of The Apprentice, have been riding a rollercoaster together would be something of an understatement. From sleepless nights contemplating embodying a young Donald Trump and his mentor Roy Cohn, to a Cannes Film Festival premiere filled with high hopes, a cease and desist from Trump himself, deafening silence from U.S. distributors, a reprieve from Briarcliff Entertainment, a highly combustible release on the eve of the U.S. Presidential election, and now an Oscar nomination each, they might well be suffering from whiplash.
Here, they met with Deadline to discuss how they’ve navigated the ride of the past few months, where they feel the film lives in the public consciousness, and what it means to them to receive Oscar nominations in the current political climate, for playing the President and his early collaborator Cohn.
SEBASTIAN STAN: I like the haircut.
JEREMY STRONG: Thanks.
DEADLINE: A buzzcut suits you. What’s the story there?
STRONG: My hair was not my own for a long time. And when I wrapped this last film, I buzzed it off… within minutes.
DEADLINE: This was your Jon Landau role in Deliver Me from Nowhere, the Springsteen biopic?
STRONG: Yeah.
DEADLINE: What a time this has been for you both. And here you are with Oscar nominations, after all the ups and downs The Apprentice has been through.
STRONG: Thank you so much. I actually haven’t seen Sebastian since it happened. We spoke, we texted.
STAN: It’s surreal. Yeah, it’s very strange.
DEADLINE: These are heavy, intense roles to represent, and this film has been triggering for a lot of people. Sebastian, I remember we did a Q&A at a screening, and I felt this palpable reaction from the audience, they had so much to say about it. How has it felt to you both being together and talking about this film in this time?
STAN: I think we’ve just taken it a day at a time, it feels like. This thing about you saying the audience was having this visceral reaction and so on, I’ve been thinking a lot about that. That felt like a good sign, because I think the narrative, as we’ve gone down this path, has been the preservation of art and the creative language that we all share and how that transcends politics and leads towards experience and something on a much more visceral level. And I think when it comes to these characters in this story, people have so many feelings, some that have been suppressed, some that haven’t been explored. And I think now, even after these nominations, I feel in a way there’s been something liberating that I’ve felt, I don’t know about you Jeremy, I felt on a very minuscule level of people just feeling that they can start to explore and talk about these things in a different way, or there’s permission to do so. And I think that was always a goal of this film, in my point of view.
When I watched the inauguration, I just thought of [Roy Cohn] hovering over the Capitol Rotunda. – JEREMY STRONG
STRONG: I always hear myself talking about wanting to make work that touches the third rail. And I’ve been part of a lot of films that are based in either current events or historical events, but none of them have had quite the sort of intersectional power and voltage that this one has. And I think that’s been uncomfortable for a lot of people.
I was at a dinner recently, and someone said that comfort is going to be the death of us; wanting to be comfortable. And I think that there’s really a virtue in film certainly that is willing to make people slightly uncomfortable. I understand why people have had reservations about engaging with these characters on a humanistic level, but I also think, and I’ve said this before, but it bears repeating, this great William Saroyan thing, that, “Despise evil and ungodliness, but not men of ungodliness and evil. These, understand.” And part of why we’ve gotten into the place they were in, the mess they were in, is a refusal on both sides, I think, to understand each other. So I love that. I see this film not as a political polemic, but as a character study. So I love that we’re getting to do this with you together, Sebastian. And I think we always saw this as a character study, and in a sense, as a relationship, as a love story in the way that Midnight Cowboy is a love story.
Tumblr media
DEADLINE: I love that comparison to Midnight Cowboy. I haven’t heard that before, but that really resonates.
STRONG: Donald Trump as the Joe Buck to my Ratso “Roy” Rizzo.
DEADLINE: I think we’ve seen a kind of permission to be mean and cruel in our society, and there seems to be this shadow of Roy Cohn in our world now. And I know, Jeremy, you’ve spoken about this before, about how the long arm of Roy Cohn is still in our lives.
STRONG: Yeah. When I watched the inauguration, I just thought of him hovering over the Capitol Rotunda. And when I saw Trump’s response to Bishop Budde, I just thought, “Well, that’s right out of Roy’s playbook.” Attack, destroy. Roy said, “Hate is a powerful weapon.” He used it as a weapon and as a cudgel. He is encoded in everything that we are seeing unfold today and in these last weeks and months.
But the political column aside, I think for both of us, I grew up watching movies like Mississippi Burning, Midnight Express, The Killing Fields, these movies that spoke to the world had enormous volcanic power. And then watching these performances like Ben Kingsley in Gandhi, or Phil Hoffman in Capote, or Daniel [Day-Lewis] in Lincoln. And I feel like this sort of transformational work is the work that Sebastian and I have both aspired to do. So to have been able to do it with this film and to have this moment of recognition from the community is just unspeakably meaningful.
DEADLINE: Of course, Academy voters don’t represent the U.S. as a whole, but these nominations might mean that more people see this film. It’s back in theaters again right now too.
STAN: Yeah. I think this focus on character is really very important. That’s why I think the movie is vital. And rightfully as you said, where are the examples of men out there right now that are promoting generosity or empathy or compassion, these attributes that we need for survival as human beings, as opposed to these caricature versions of men that operate on a victim-blame mentality that justifies you being an animal: “Go out there, and do whatever you want.” And I think the only way you can understand that is when you go back and connect the dots to what makes somebody become that way.
I think the uncomfortableness of the movie is that it makes the question for evil isn’t necessarily just born, it can also be created. And the truth is somewhere in the middle, and nobody is really spared from that.
The movie, in the context of recent events, has become more and more of a horror movie to me. – JEREMY STRONG
STRONG: I do think that the movie in the context of recent events has become more and more of a horror movie to me. And it’s like Roy Cohn said, and I think I said in the film, he said, “This is a nation of men, not laws.” And we’re really testing out that thesis right now in America. It is being proven out by Trump. He’s the ultimate Machiavellian in the sense that Machiavelli said that, “The ends justify the means.” So in the film, we see Roy Cohn willing to do anything in the name of democracy, which is a kind of Orwellian usage of the word “democracy” in the way that we hear the Orwellian use of the words “freedom” and “democracy” and “justice,” these sort of inverted meanings. It’s really amazing to look at the germinal seeds of that ideology in the relationship between these two men in the time that the film covers.
DEADLINE: One thing that this film shows us is our need to look at the things inside ourselves that aren’t necessarily good or delightful. We all need to look in the mirror. In the film, Roy Cohn and Donald Trump are shown as people that didn’t want to be themselves. And that’s where we run into trouble. This is a study in that. If you aren’t your authentic self…
STAN: Well, yeah, because it’s about lying to yourself. And I think there is a suppression on both of these men’s parts. Deep, deep suppression. And as a result, these monstrous egos that came about in order to deal with that suppression, whether it’s pain, rage, shame, all these things. And as a result, the lie gets born, and it’s about how far are you willing to go with preserving the lie. And that’s what’s interesting to me, even in terms of his or the sort of recent childish response from White House about the movie and the nominations, is it’s all as long as it pertains to a certain narrative. It’s interesting to see, even among his supporters, just how easy it is to reshape history or reshape certain events that have happened, whether it’s looking at January 6th … It’s really mind-boggling, but it’s so easy, and it’s happened obviously in history. And I think that’s another reason why we have to hold some accountability for the things that are not entirely true and how slippery of a slope it is to buy into that, because everybody else is doing it.
STRONG: I love what you said about to thine own self not be true. And the sort of terrible fruits that that could bear. Not that it’s even an intentional thing. I think they’re both escaping a kind of bottomless void and original trauma.
I did an Ibsen play last year, and reading about Ibsen, in some of the biographies, Ibsen was obsessed with this idea — the Norwegian term translates into the word “life-lie” — the idea that you can live in a kind of delusion. And there’s something about Roy with the stuffed frogs and the Mickey Mouse thing on his door that says “Roy.” He’s a fantasist in a way. Like Peter Pan is a fantasist. And part of that fantasy involves a level of denial of reality. And it’s that self-denial and a denial of what is empirical reality that allows these characters and these men to make reality whatever they want it to be, and make it in their own image. But it’s very, very dangerous when truth becomes malleable the way that Roy Cohn espoused. And I think we’re seeing that happen. Everything’s just turning into spaghetti.
Tumblr media
DEADLINE: Each of you did this forensic-level dive into these characters. I’m looking at you, Jeremy, with your hair buzzed after playing Jon Landau, and I’m curious about how both of you managed to preserve yourselves after such a deep dive into these characters of Trump and Cohn. How do you emerge?
STRONG: I actually have no desire to preserve myself. I think, for better or worse, my real desire is to lose myself entirely in it and disappear into it. So depending on the material, you go into these lives for a little while and submerge yourself. And I guess I find that to be the joy of it, to get utterly lost in exploring a psyche and a persona that is not your own until the point that it takes over and sort of possesses you. And at the same time, it’s a game. But it’s like you commit utterly to the game. And I love that Roy also was a pretty gleeful guy. He’s dark. You look at him, and you see something monstrous and you see the heart of darkness. But from inside of him, he actually had a tremendous elan and life force. He loved being Roy Cohn with his Rolls Royce and lunch at Le Cirque. He loved it. So it wasn’t as heavy as one might think.
These shadows that live within us, that we think we can just plaster onto somebody else and be guilt-free … The uncomfortableness of the movie is that it makes the question for evil isn’t necessarily just born, it can also be created. And the truth is somewhere in the middle, and nobody is really spared from that. – SEBASTIAN STAN
DEADLINE: I would find that so threatening to my mental health. Because at some point, you just have to hope that your inner real self rises up out of this other persona.
STRONG: This is a whole other conversation, but I think the idea of a fixed self is illusory. So I think we all have, especially as children, a plasticity of self. I am not sure if there is some core self. We certainly cling to that, but I think it’s interesting to explore the malleability of self.
DEADLINE: Sebastian, what do you think about this idea of such immersion that you let go fully? And how have you managed that?
STAN: I mean, I find it to be very freeing at the end of the day. I almost wish that I could be as courageous within my own life. There are things in life that I’m scared of almost more than what the work demands. I don’t know what that says about me.
I agree with Jeremy that I do feel like we have a spectrum of things that exist within us, and I guess he and I, when I think of actors, you’re like these investigators of all the colors of the human spectrum. I had to remove all judgment I had of this person, and I had to isolate myself to some degree from my friends and my loved ones in my family, because they all had such strong opinions about Trump and what I was doing. The only way I could build a confidence and courage to show up there with him on the day would be to be obsessively going over this and allowing for something to happen on my own without interacting with anyone, because I needed that self-protection. Your brain can judge so quickly and stifle every instinct you have.
What’s really maybe uncomfortable, and scary, is these people exist in all of us to some extent. There was a Trump in me and there was a Roy in Jeremy. And they can come out. And I think not everybody has the luxury of being able to parent that evolution to some extent, but we do. And I think the takeaway is that you want to show that we’re not all spared from these things that are darker, or these shadows that live within us, that we think we can just plaster onto somebody else and be guilt-free.
STRONG: I think part of the job, and maybe it’s for most things, but certainly for this, Shakespeare says, “This thing of darkness, I acknowledge mine.”
Tumblr media
DEADLINE: Tell me about when you first met?
STAN: We met at Le Club. There was a place in New York City called The Nines, which Jeremy suggested we meet at. And in retrospect now, it was very similar to our first meeting [in the film in character]. So I thought that was pretty telling, I suppose. And then the next time, we were in another world.
STRONG: We sort of really met after we were done, and Sebastian came to see my play and we met in my dressing room. But I did take him to The Nines. I made him drink [like Cohn in the film].
You’re in this sort of liminal zone before you start something. I remember thinking, I’m not inside of this thing yet. I have to be in a month from now. I don’t know how that will happen, but I have enough faith at this point that it will happen. We were in this in-between where we were meeting each other. And I think it was important to just connect and say hello.
We didn’t really talk much while we were doing this, but I’ve never had a better experience with another actor in my life. The latitude and freedom and trust that we had, the risks we took together, everything was tandem unicycling on a tightrope over an abyss. I couldn’t have done this without Sebastian. But yeah, that moment I remember very clearly where we were sitting and a feeling of trepidation and of like, “Oh, f*ck. What have we gotten ourselves into here?”
DEADLINE: How do you feel hearing that, Sebastian?
STAN: Genuinely, I feel blessed to been able to have had Jeremy. I mean, I was always a great admirer of his work. When I saw him in everything that he has done, I always felt there was such presence and commitment and energy and force. So yeah, like he said, I was excited, but also trepidatious.
And then obviously, my feeling that Jeremy elevated the work at all costs in every single scene. The element of surprise, that’s what you want out of your partner more than anything. You’re going in there with everything you’ve thought about, but in the end, you want your partner to set you free. And that’s what I feel he does with anybody he works with. Because I think it’s the unpredictability that he comes with from being alive in the moment. And I think that creates something new in me, and then maybe that leads to something new in him. So you always want to have that.
The fact that we were so free with real people, playing real people is really unheard of. It just doesn’t work like that. I mean, at least in my experience with having played real people. I never have —
STRONG: I think we were only able to be free as a result of a tremendous amount of preparation and saturation. And I think if I have a philosophy of acting at all, it’s this thing that he says in Hamlet that “use can almost change the stamp of nature.” That if you apply yourself enough and work hard enough and absorb enough and internalize enough, you can change the stamp of your nature. You can become an authority on Donald Trump and Roy Cohn enough to improvise them and be free within that structure.
Tumblr media
DEADLINE: I hope that the roles you’ve had after this have been a kind of palette cleanser? I know that Jon Landau was a beautiful mentor to Springsteen, in contrast to Cohn.
STRONG: Yeah. He lifted me out of the gulch.
STAN: I think finally in March, I’m going to go off to this new thing. But it’s weird to some extent, you go, I guess March 2nd [Oscars], we move on. And we never really do. But it’s hard not to feel like, with this movie in particular, like this has been our child. It’s really like you’re sending them off to college.
STRONG: It’s like Rosemary’s Baby.
STAN: It’s nostalgic. It’s liberating. It’s freeing and yet weird. So it’s a lot of things. But I think that’s when you care. At least I’ve learned going forward, I want to be doing things I care about to that degree.

That’s such a mood tbh. I have my own mental health strugggles over here. It’s why Che’nya somehow manages to become a therapist at times (the mad Cheshire Cat becoming a therapist will never not be funny to me - but of course we all know he’s more than just mad). So I understand. If you ever wanna chat, my DMs are open! I’ve made plenty of friends that way.
And thank you???? Omg??? That’s so nice helppppp 😭😭😭
I’m so glad you’ve been enjoying my blog and that this event hasn’t turned you off from both me and interacting with Che’nya - in fact, that it has helped you have the courage to finally come forward!
It does suck that it was under these circumstances, but hey! Silver lining! We got to chat. I hope you feel more comfortable visiting Che’nya and saying hi once all this has settled.
Hopefully we will be back to our REGULARLY scheduled chaos soon! 😹
guys i'm in my hot sexy villain arc

Astro Observations~ 43
Tumblr media
Taurus placements usually have a big sweet tooth. They love carbs as well I notice.
On the other hand I notice Aries placements really love spicy foods (especially Aries suns). They are the types to always get the hottest sauce they have on their food. My Aries friend told me she “enjoys the pain of spice” (very Martian lol)
Scorpio moons get mad when you ask them too many questions 😭 if they aren’t ready to tell you you won’t get nothing out of them, they will dodge your questions every chance they get.
Venus in Cancer & Libra are the most committed out of all the Venus signs I notice. Once they like you they are already planning the wedding in their heads 😂 these women were made to be wives fr!
Aquarius moons are so ethereal, they have this unique glow to them that’s super captivating (ex; Marilyn Monroe). They are all just so beautiful.
Capricorn risings are super hot! Their nonchalance makes them more attractive and magnetic. A lot of people with a Capricorn rising have a Neptune in the 1st house which adds to their appeal a lot!
Mars in the 8th house people usually have had a bad experience with sex early in life. Many could be hyper sexual because of trauma 🙁
Leo risings/ moons have the best hair out of all the Leo placements. It’s usually so thick and shiny!
Moon in Aries have a hard time controlling their emotions. I’ve heard a lot say it feels like they’re burning up inside if they repress how they feel for too long (especially in the 3rd house). If they don’t let it out they can make themselves really sick. They just need to work on their delivery cuz they can be quite intense.
Uranus in the 5th house individuals get turned on by the oddest cringiest people😭 they’re into odd balls. (7th house too but I think the 5th house finds weirder people lol).
Scorpio suns can be big buzz kills when they’re depressed. They either trauma dump for hours or become really antisocial.
Uranus in the 2nd house people really don’t give a shit about money. They aren’t as attached to it as most people are. They also can either make an extreme amount of money and then be broke the next minute. Their financial situation is very unstable.
Mercury in retrograde people are always late😂. Also people with a mercury retrograde can have an easier time during a mercury retrograde transit than others that don’t have their mercury in retrograde. I notice as well they are either extremely quiet or say too much no in between.
Your mars is way better in a fire/air sign than in a water/earth sign. Aries imo is the best sign you can have in your mars. Even though people talk about Scorpio & Capricorn being one of the “best” I have to disagree 😭 Scorpio mars have great drive but I feel like their emotions 9 times outta 10 get in the way of them accomplishing a lot, their feelings are usually super hard to control. Also Capricorn I just feels like moves way to slow for mars quick paced nature. They go through more obstacles than I feel like most to accomplish their goals even small goals are hard for these people.
Cancer risings tend to have big 🍒 while Capricorn risings tend to be pretty flat chested.
Taurus moon & mars are THICCCC
I never met a Venus in Gemini or Aquarius that was straight. They’re all mad fruity😂.
Venus in Virgo is the most boring to date. (When I say this I mean mostly the men) they’re just so bland imo.
Scorpio rising/mars ruin a lot of relationships with how intensely they express their emotions. They can be super psycho when you’ve crossed them.
Virgo suns talk a lot of shit but are rarely able to back it up when confronted.
Capricorn suns don’t mind walking on others to get to the top. They have an ability to disconnect from empathy which is why a lot of people see them as cold and only caring about money.
Gemini moons are the funnest to bring to parties they are such social butterflies and are usually super funny!
Aqua Venus’s aren’t romantic to people that are openly affectionate but they are romantic to people who are super nonchalant and barely give them attention 😭 they don’t like when people act too into them too early it scares them. If u want to hook someone with this Venus act careless they’ll go crazy for you lol.
Cancer moons are really nice but super phony.
Capricorn moons are the opposite they are usually seen as harsh and mean but very real people.
The weakest mars sign in my opinion is Pisces mars. The ones I meet have like no energy for anything & they complain about doing the bare minimum. The men with this are soooo passive they always look super scared and never make the first move. They’re super submissive usually. They also need to sleep more than most people.
Venus in the first house women are lowkey haters. They do not like when other girls get more attention than them or have anything they don’t have (especially when it comes to looks or love). But they’ll never tell you directly they’re way to passive for that but you’ll definitely catch the shade👀
Mars conjunct venus are either really charismatic and sexy or very aggressive & irritating, if badly aspected they can come off way too strong which scares people away. But if positive they can attract people like bees to honey.

—you meet Spencer again after losing out on the BAU job. he comforts you while you do your best not to flirt. bombshell!reader, 0.9k
You lose out on the BAU job to Elle Greenaway. It drives you crazy.
You work just as hard as Elle does, you’re professional no matter what Jason Gideon has to say about you, and you know you could do it. You have just as many successes as Elle does.
It makes you feel sick. You tried so, so hard.
I’m sorry, Hotch had said, and at least you’d had his support. He was kind enough to tell you in person. I can’t make the decision without Gideon, and if he thinks you aren’t right for it right now, we’ll have to wait.
Wait. As though Jason Gideon was ever going to change his mind about you.
You open your purse and take out the barrel of your sheer lipstick. Your compact is next. You hold the mirror up and angle your face in the sun, popping the lid off of the lipstick, and pressing its flat end to your bottom lip. The line you draw is perfectly precise. Your hand barely trembles.
You drop the mirror down and rub your lips together slowly. No matter what falls out of your control, you can present yourself to your liking. You can be immaculate. You—
“Hi.”
You look up from your rumination, startled. You’d been thinking so hard someone actually got the run up on you.
“Hi,” you say, tilting your head gently toward your shoulder.
Dr. Spencer Reid stands a polite three feet away from you. He’s suddenly changed. The last time you met him he was wearing his long hair in a side part. Now it’s split down the middle, just a touch shorter at the sides, and he’s wearing glasses.
(He’s wearing glasses!)
You’d thought he was pretty before.
“Are you okay?”
“I’m good,” you say, tempted to call him baby, maybe sweetheart. He’s a sweet looking boy. His sweater vest makes you wanna hold his hand. “Thank you for asking. Why are you asking?”
You talk to him with no derision nor malice, just curiosity.
He frowns. It gives his eyes a sad shine. “I know you wanted the open position. You would’ve been great at it.”
“You think so?” you ask, surprised.
“I’ve seen some of your write ups. We’ve used your summaries in one of our profiles, do you… remember that?”
You send Hotch anything he wants to see.
“I don’t know why Gideon doesn’t like you… He’s so rarely wrong about people, but you’re…” He licks his lips nervously. “You’re– you’re smart. You’re inquisitive. I think you would be an asset to the team, and it’s a shame you didn’t get your chance.”
You’re making him nervous and it isn’t your intention. You put your hands in your lap and stop giving him the look, swapping your amicable smile for a proper friendly one. “Thank you. Is it okay if I call you Spencer? Dr. Spencer Reid is a lot to say at once.”
He laughs, still nervous. “Yeah. Yeah, of course.”
“Spencer, thank you for caring so much, but I’m okay. I think I might still have a chance one day, but with Elle gone, the sex crimes division is going to need me.” You lift your chin. If he’s sought you out to tell you he’s sorry, your premonitions about him when you met a few weeks ago were correct. He’s as kind as he is pretty. “I love your glasses. Are they for reading?”
“I always wore glasses when I was a kid, and then I started working here, and I thought it might make me seem less… childish, if I wore contacts, but they’re the worst.”
You laugh happily. He says it in such a pained voice. “The glasses suit you so much,” you say, shoving your things into your bag and standing. “Did you wanna go for coffee? I need a pick me up before I go back to the office.”
Spencer touches his wrist. “Are you serious?”
“Why wouldn’t I be serious?” you ask, again, without a drop of malice. You’re not stupid, Spencer has all the nervousness of someone who’s been mistreated before, and heartily, and it’s easy to be soft with him not solely because of it, but because he seems so sweet. You could happily be his friend. “Do you like coffee? We could get those hot donuts from the cafeteria, have you tried those?”
You close the little gap between you both and raise your hand carefully to his face. Gentle, you try to pull a stray hair from the hinge of his glasses leg without snapping it.
“You can tell me all the stuff I’m doing wrong.”
“You’re not doing anything wrong,” Spencer says.
“Come on, there has to be something.”
His mouth gives him away. “It’s not that you’re doing it wrong, you’re just– you– you’re not looking at things the…” Your fingertip brushes his cheek as you drop your hand. “…Right way, sometimes.”
“I wanted your recommendations.” You bump his elbow with yours. “I’ll buy you a coffee and you can write me a list. Cool?”
He cleared his throat. “Yes. Cool.”
You’re thinking it’ll be the start of a good friendship. You and Dr. Reid make quite a pair.

summary drew coming in as a surprised guest on a nonsense christmas.
warning(s) none just funny humor and drew dressed as santa
Tumblr media
A Nonsense Christmas.
This thought occurred to me one day at the beginning of this year. Christmas is your favorite time to celebrate, it was ideal. You've had incredible artists join you to perform songs and special guests for comedy skits—Tyla, Kali Uchis, Chappell Roan, and so many other talented guests.
It's been an absolute blast filming everything. The whole vibe of this small series is unbelievably funny and gets you in the holiday spirit.
Drew, your boyfriend, dresses up as Santa Claus in this skit. You wanted him to participate in this experience with you. He insisted on being Santa after you told him the final idea. No one knows about it except for the people working on set. Fans and the audience will be surprised.
The past few weeks Drew’s been walking around the house acting like Santa and going into character with his lines—No joke.
It starts off with you sitting on the single chair in front of your two friends, Alice and Max, talking about your boyfriend they haven't met. The living room set is decked Christmas out with a tree decorated behind you along with everything magical.
"I can't wait to finally meet your man, Debbie, you haven't been hanging out with us since getting into a relationship," Alice asks, giggling at the end of her sentence.
You quickly chuckle sarcastically, and Max joins in.
"No, I understand. Because we are doing long distance, it's been difficult to mix friend groups," you explain, making a combing hand motion. "You get what I'm saying?" you ask, leaning in slightly, squinting your eyes.
"Girl, I completely understand," Max shrugs his shoulders, offering you a nice nod of understatement, “I promise we will love him” he smiles.
Your face softens, "Aw, thank you both. I promise you, he will not disappoint," you wink playfully.
Just wait till they see who walks through that door.
Your voice appears promising to them at that point.
Your phone rings out of nowhere, and you pick it up; a mysterious boyfriend is ready to make his official entrance. "Oh, speak of the devil, he's walking up now," you shriek with delight as you get up from your seat and dance over to the front door—your famous tippy toe dance
Drew walks through the door dressed head-to-toe in a Santa Claus outfit, strode in with a jolly demeanor. His red suit, black boots, and fluffy white beard were undeniably festive.
Max and Alice exchanged puzzled looks, their jaws almost touching the floor. "Uh, is this…?" Alice inquired, her eyes wide in shock.
Debbie please be so for real...
"Is that Santa in front of me, or am I seeing things?" Before taking a close look, Max emphasizes the word "that." He squints his eyes and then turns to face Alice. "Yep, that's definitely Santa," he adds swiftly after reaching his conclusion.
Alice's jaw instantly closes as she tries to contain her composure and confusion over your boyfriend's sudden appearance as Santa.
"Guys, everyone, this is my boyfriend, Nick!" you cheer as you let Nick pass in front of you. introducing him to friends with a broad smile on your face.
Max's mouth falls open, too stunned to speak. As she raises her eyebrows in amusement, Alice is attempting to piece together how this might have happened.
“I’ve heard nothing but great things about you two, It’s great to meet you” Drew says in character, pointing at Alice and Max. He smiles underneath the white bread.
Drew puts his left arm around your shoulder as you sit on his lap, putting your hands on your knees and grinning. You subconsciously find the Santa impression impressive.
With a gesture between Alice and himself, Max says, "Aw, same, um, as us..." pausing for a quick moment looking around, "Would you like anything to drink or snack on by any chance?" Curious, Max asks
Nick looks at Max and says, "Oh, um, maybe a warm glass of milk with." He sits down right away. "And a huge chocolate chip cookie topped with shards of sprinkles?" Nick added, highlighting the final phrase.
"Yuck," Alice responds hastily.
You quickly drop your smile, looking at her. What did she say about my man?
Max frowns slowly and says, "Uh oh, I think we are out of shards." He then slowly turns, side-eyeing Alice—still attempting to take everything in.
When Nick sees that his clothing is covered in soot, he excuses himself to go upstairs to the restroom, leaving the three of you below until he returns.
As he reaches the steps, you watch him closely until Alice says, "Hey, this is actually insane but, um, that's Santa Claus, right?" She points up the stairs while posing mocking questions.
You look shocked in a moment. You respond, "Oh my god," while gazing at her as though she were crazy. You inquire informally, "What kind of messed up thing is that to say?"
The two of them ask you whether you are serious about the relationship or if it's a trick.
Max interrupts, "Debbie, girl, it's not messed up. Think about it, big white scruffy beard?" He was making bread motions with his hands.
You roll your eyes, scoffing, “well he decided to do no shave November, for your information.”
“And he has the classic big belly?” Alice tries putting her point clear.
Dramatically gasping at her comment, “And there it is, the body shaming begins,” throwing your hands in the air, Alice and Max make eye contact with each other wondering if your delusions will come to an end—Max quietly scoffs.
"What kind of Mean Girls situation is this? You say, "Can't believe this," in an attempt to come seem as offended by their critical remarks.
Alice mumbles to herself, "Okay, relax," as she scratches the back of her head looking around the room.
You begin detailing his character and making it quite clear that he is Santa without actually stating so. When Nick came down the stairs, your two friends decided to stop commenting.
Max and Alice thank him for giving them gifts, and Nick flicks his fingers when he realizes he left something in the car and will be right back. "So, how does he make enough money to buy us all these presents?" Max glances in your direction.
You keep telling them that he described his exact job, but you were too preoccupied to pay attention and found it dull at the time. "If I'm not mistaken, toy manufacturer," you shrug your shoulders.
“Uh, Deb, you won’t be happy from what I’m gonna say,” Alice leans in, “that’s what Santa does,” she explains speaking in a high-pitched voice.
"Like I said before, he's not Santa Claus, his job doesn't even pay, and I don't—" You were interrupted by the sound of footsteps on the rooftop.
Is this girl okay? Max thinks to himself.
"Is your boyfriend on the roof?" Alice asks you a suspicious inquiry.
You laugh uneasily, "He's probably fixing something up there, right? He would have noticed something," you explain, "my partner can actually make something," smiling sarcastically, "like a guy," you swiftly shift your head over at Max, making a remark about what his boyfriend does for a living.
We weren't expecting to hear those words from you.
"Besides, if he was Santa," you pause, "then why is he so good in bed?" You cross your arms together, lean back against the chair, and give them a peculiar look.
The two chuckle in their chairs. "Oh, well, I didn't read that in the text," Alice replies drastically as though your remark had upset her.
A little while later, Nick shows up at the house with two gift boxes for your two friends. Your face lights up when you see him giving your two pals thoughtful gifts. Your words, "How thoughtful of you, my love!"
They had no idea how to find their gifts in front of them when they opened them and saw what they had long yearned for. You wonder how Nick knew they desired those gifts as you point to them.
Everyone on stage and in the crowd bursts out laughing when Owen, who portrays Max, unintentionally fires the soft nerf bullet, striking Megan, Alice's character, on the side of her face. It was more humorous—Megan was fine, too.
Max and Alice, becoming all sensual in the moment, said they wrote letters to Santa Claus and just wished for them. You sigh softly and stare down at your feet. "Well, if he's really Santa, he would know that the only thing I asked for as a little girl was singing a duet with Shania Twain," you pout.
Is she coming out?
Is it my turn yet?
Suddenly, Shaian Twain enters the home door dressed as Mrs. Claus and asks to see her husband. After figuring everything out, you exclaim, "You are married?!" As you rise from your chair, your voice is full of shock and sadness.
Nick and Shain Twain explain their relationship and being open in sharing. Everyone in the living room is in a state of shock, except for Alice and Max. You quickly point to Nick, “He’s not Santa!” you raise your voice—voice cracking a little.
The audience laughs as they clap once the skit ends.
Tumblr media
You giggle as you follow Drew after everyone has left the stage. "You did such a good job doing the Santa impression baby," you say, giving him a playful sideways nudge.
He replies nonchalantly, as like he didn't need to practice, "Oh you know, gotta show them who the real boss is but it comes naturally."
You laugh, "Dork."
You decide to snap a quick photo of Drew before he can do anything else while he's staring at you from the couch in the dressing room with his bogus beard still on. You suddenly say, "Say cheese, Santa!" and take him by surprise.
You take a close look at the image on your screen, thinking, "Perfect for our Christmas card this year."

OK GO READ ILYSM MWAH
-
It’s hard being Paige Bueckers. Not every 23-year-old had to deal with the kind of pressure I did. Most of the time it felt like the whole world was watching me, waiting for me to fail. It used to bother the shit out of me but after all the injuries, everything I’ve been through, I thrived on it. I knew I would prove them wrong - prove that I’m great, that I’m me. Just like my dad would tell me, over and over again. I knew I was great, so greatness was expected. But I’d be lying if I said it didn’t come with a great deal of pressure. I always said pressure is a privilege. But sometimes when I lay in bed alone after a game, even a win, the pressure consumed me. I didn’t like to be alone. So I went around different girls’ beds, like they meant nothing. Because they didn’t - they were just a distraction from my own mind. Like I said, it’s hard being Paige Bueckers - hard being me.
“You okay babe?”
I’m shaken out of my thoughts, returning back to earth, back to the small bed I was lying in. The brunette next to me nuzzles her nose into my arm, watching me with that look I knew too well. Like she wanted something from me. I hated when girls looked at me like that.
I clear my throat, trying not to flinch as she wraps her arm around me. “Yeah Zoe, ‘m fine,” I murmur, letting her press herself to my side, her body sticky from our prior activities. Zoe was a cuddler, so she was usually last on my roster. It’s hard to plan your escape when a girl clings to you like a koala and worst of all, wants to sleep like that all night. I never got that, cuddling while sleeping. It gets hot, sweaty and cramped, I find it hard to believe anyone actually enjoys it. People just think they do because they’re in love or something. And I can’t afford to be in love. I had a natty to win.
Zoe’s slender finger brushes through my blonde hair and I can feel that claustrophobic, uncomfortable tightness inside me. Like I had to get out. Her dorm was dim and the air was heavy and slightly humid from the second round I had insisted on. The sheets stuck to my skin uncomfortably and her bed made this annoying sound everytime I moved or even breathed.
I turn my gaze to Zoe who’s looking at me, all googly eyed. Oh God. She smiles wide and presses a kiss to my cheek. The scent of her shampoo lingers in the air, the smell of banana and some kind of citrus. I had never liked banana scented things.
“Uh, anyway that was fun,” I mumble, and sit up on the bed, forcing her off me as gently as I could. “But I got practice early,” I add, reaching for my t-shirt and throwing it on.
I don’t notice the offended look on Zoe’s face. I grab my phone from the floor, checking my texts urgently.
Yo you tryna do a lil sum tonight?
I know ur not workin sooo we could have a lil fun like we did the other day
Valerie?
I sigh, feeling the knot in my stomach tighten as I stare at the read receipt underneath the texts. I tap on the back of my phone case impatiently, wondering if sending a fourth text would make me pathetic. Maybe I should just call her? Nah, I must be trippin.
Since I met her at Ted’s, Valerie was the first I called when being in my bed alone was tearing up my mind. But it didn’t mean anything, she was good in bed, good at making me forget who I was when I needed to. Also, I liked how she smelled, like coconut. And when she tangled her legs with mine I didn’t shutter or pull away. Sometimes I even wrapped my arm around her, pulling her into me. Not because I needed her. But because her body felt good against mine.
“Aw baby really?” Zoe whines in an overtly soft voice, wrapping the blanket around her as she scoots up on the bed. Her plump bottom lip, swollen from the rough kissing earlier turns into a pout. I quickly avoid her gaze, my eyes landing right onto the floor looking for my pants. “I wanted to cuddle.” Figures.
“I know baby, me too,” a lie, she would never know that though. “Can’t keep my hands off you if I stay tho and I need some sleep.” I lie more, never looking at her. She buys it though, like she does every time. It’s not like I liked to lie, but I also didn’t like disappointing people. Especially girls that looked at me like that. It would kill her to know I texted three girls after Valerie didn’t answer, and the only reason I was here was because Zoe was the fastest to reply..
I leave Zoe like that, naked in bed, pleading with her eyes. Sometimes I felt bad, because I could tell she really liked me. But then I remembered how hard it is to be Paige Bueckers, and I didn’t feel so bad. My job was to be great on the court. Everything else was just background noise.
-
I sit by the court, my chest heaving, throwing my head back to down some water. The squeaking of sneakers echo all around me, blending in with the sound of Geno’s voice screaming at some of the girls working on plays. Coach had been killing us today, not happy with how the last game had went. We had still won, but that was merely a reason to celebrate in his eyes.
All day I’d been missing shots that should’ve been child’s play for me. I couldn’t help but beat myself up. I was distracted, unfocused. I had been killing myself on the court, hoping it would bring me to my senses. Geno had been the one to tap me on the shoulder and force me to take a break I wipe the sweat off my face into the inside of my shirt, and grab my phone.
Bro are u alive?
I’m gettin worried lowkey
i’m fine paige
Five days. For five days Valerie hadn’t texted me back anything but that. I clench my jaw in frustration, shaking my head to myself. It made no sense to me - yeah we had a falling out but that’s what we did. We bickered and then we kissed and made up, and that’s what we had been doing for months so why was she acting like this now? Well… maybe calling her a psycho bitch last week hadn’t been the best move on my part.
I don’t know why the things she did bothered me so much. When she didn’t laugh at my joke, when she didn’t answer my texts. I don’t know why I felt a constant nervousness swirl inside me when she was mad at me, I had no reason to care. I guess the pussy was just that good, it was tricking me into thinking I did.
“Va-le-r- oh that’s the girl from Ted’s!” KK slams her hands on my shoulders, coming up from behind me, peeping at my phone screen. In a panic, I lock my phone, hiding it from her view.
“Bro, you heard of privacy?” I complain, shoving her playfully as she sits next to me on the ground. KK snickers, her nose scrunching a little as she does.
“Not since you started peeing with the door open,” the shorter girl next to me argues and I scoff loudly, my mouth wide open.
“One time! And I was drunk!!” I groan, my voice rising a little and eyes going wide. CD quickly turns around and shushes us, shaking her head. Me and KK quickly shut our mouths, my cheeks turning a little red from the scolding.
KK looks at me with raised brows, and then at the phone, and then at me again. Most of the team knew how I kept myself busy when I wasn’t training, but KK was the one who had joined me those countless times at Ted’s and sat with me at the corner table as I watched her. Valerie. There was something so intriguing about her I just had to keep coming back. I always thought once I’d get her to my bed and have my way with her, I’d be done with her, which is how it usually goes. Before I realised that one time turned into five, which turned into me being in her bed getting her right, not even caring about my own most of the time. Getting her off got me off. Just thinking about the way she looked when she came, the way her back arched, her perfect mouth fell open - I really had to stop thinking about her. Why was it so goddamn hard?
It won’t be hard to find another Valerie if she’s gonna keep this difficult act up.
“Girl trouble?” KK asks, her tone more genuine and I roll my eyes, looking at her sideways.
“Yea right,” I chuckle sarcastically, leaning my elbows to my knees. “Just need to find a new one is all.”
KK lets out a small laugh, sipping her water bottle. “The five you got not enough?” She jokes.
I smirk a little glancing at her. “Four,” I correct, as if that made it better somehow. “Just need someone… new,” I mumble, knowing it was the best bet to get my mind off Valerie. I’m sure eventually I’d find someone who was just as hot. Someone who also smelled like coconut.
“Then what do I say to Zoe.”
“Wh- Zoe?”
KK nods and grins at me. “She texted me asking about your shoe size or sum, wanted to get a gift for you.”
“She- she what?” My voice is full of shock and I can feel the claustrophobic tightness quickly grow inside me. I had never given her KK’s number. She was doing too much. KK just nods, clearly finding the situation amusing.
“Bro…” I groan quietly, as to not piss off CD again, and lean my head forward, resting my forehead against my arms. Zoe clearly hadn’t understood what “just fucking around” meant. Sometimes shit slipped out of my mouth, sure, but I never let her think I liked her. I had to be careful with her.
KK kisses the her teeth and is still nodding. “Yeah… probably time to let her go huh?”
“That bitch is crazy I swear,” I murmur and KK laughs out loud again. I punch her arm, reminding her to keep quiet - an impossible task for KK. Before I can stop myself, the words just slip from my mouth.
“Ted’s tonight?”
KK looks at me pointedly. “Valerie workin’?” she teases but I shake my head sternly.
“No man, fuck Valerie.” The words tasted bitter in my mouth. “Just need to find a new one, k?”
“You sure you’re not just gon’ ogle at her all ni-”
“KK.” I say sternly
KK nods. “Ok,” she repeats but I can tell from her tone she doesn’t buy it. She shuts up though knowing she could tease me about anything but anything about Valerie got under my skin. Truth was Valerie was working today. I just needed to see her just for a second. Just to know if I was overthinking it, or if she was really icing me out.
-
The Friday night had brought many other students to Ted’s as well, the bar pretty packed and the chatter loud over the music. KK had convinced Ice to join us so the three of us made our way in. The best thing about crowds was it made it easy to blend in, even for us. We push our way through to the bar, my eyes immediately searching for a glimpse of Valerie’s golden brown hair or her wide eyes. All I needed was to see her, I told myself. Even for a second. Then the twist in my stomach would straighten out.
“What can I get you?” The perky voice of the redhead asks over the buzzing crowd. I think her name was Natalie or something. Ice looks over the flyers on the bar, advertising a range of new drinks.
“Let’s try some of these,” Ice suggests and I grab the flyer from her hand. I didn’t really come here to drink so I couldn’t have cared less what we ordered. Especially now I realised Valerie wasn’t even here.
“Uhh yea can we get three Aperol Negronis,”
“You won’t like it,” a stern, but sweet voice interrupts the conversation. I’d recognise that voice anywhere.
Valerie steps out from the back, pinning her hair away from her face and for a moment our gazes meet. Her dark, wide eyes make me let out a breath I didn’t know I was holding. For a moment I want to jump over the bar and touch her, to make sure she was really there and not just a mirage of my desires.
“W-why not?” I ask, my voice uncharacteristically shaky. Only with her I got like that. Suddenly my throat felt dry and the nervous twist in my stomach was turning into something you could only call butterflies. Of course I knew it couldn’t be butterflies, because that would mean I cared. I couldn’t afford to care. I didn’t have the time for distractions. I had a national championship to win.
Valerie scoffs looking away from me, ignoring me as I chase her gaze. “Because I know you won’t,” she says. The way she thought she knew me that well irked me. Still, I’d be lying if I said a part of me wasn’t beaming at the fact that I had her attention after a week of trying to chase her down.
I can’t help the pout that forms in defiance. She’s still ignoring me, pouring drinks for a group of boys clearly ogling at her - which only irked me more.
“Well… I want three of them,” I say matter of factly, trying to prove a point.
“Whoa Paige, maybe we should just get a shirl-” Ice chuckles but I shake my head.
“Three Aperol Negronis,” I dictate. Valerie’s stern eyes finally look at me. She looks almost a little scary, not pleased with my tone. “... please.” I add urgently, not wanting to get on her bad side. I guess some would say I already had.
Wordlessly, Valerie rolls her wide eyes and gets to mixing the drinks. I allow my eyes to wander for a moment, noticing how the white shirt of the work uniform hugged her body, the curve of her breasts making my mouth water. Just seeing her was enough to ignite the fire deep in my abdomen. The things I would do to leave with her tonight and take her to my bed, like I had so many times before. I would even settle for just some kissing. Just wanted to let my hands wander down her body, squeeze and feel where I wanted, with no urgency. I needed to feel all of her, wanted to drown in her.
“By card orrr…?” Valerie asks, clearly waiting for the payment. My eyes had gone glassy, and my lower lip had a small dent from the way I’d been biting down on it. I blink stupidly at her, struggling to calm myself down.
“I got it,” KK murmurs and slides her card to Valerie. I grab my drink, and the smell is enough to make my face scrunch up in disgust. I swear it smells like battery acid, and as I take a sip I notice - it also tastes like battery acid. I swallow the orange liquor, it burns on its way down making me cough a little. Valerie was watching me amused. I hated when she was right.
“People actually drink this and like it??” Ice asks, her voice hoarse from coughing as well. KK nods agreeing but I’m too stubborn to admit defeat.
“I actually like it,” I lie with a straight face, my fingers twitching around the glass as I try to get over the bitter aftertaste in my mouth.
“Oh right,” Valerie says, flicking her hair over her shoulder as she turns to another group of customers. I can’t help reach over the bar, my hand grabbing her arm. She turns back to face me, icier than I had ever seen. It shocks me enough that I let go of her, taken aback.
“What?” she asks, her voice filled with annoyance.
“You seen my texts?” is all I ask, and it comes out a little too desperate for my liking.
“Yes,” Valerie says matter of factly. I wait for her to continue but she doesn’t.
“Uh… well thought we’d link up or something,” I add, shifting on my feet as I do.
Valerie sighs in frustration and takes a deep breath to compose herself.
“I’m good,” is all she says and flashes me an ice cold smile. I feel a strange pang in my heart. She had iced me out before, but not like this. Usually seeing her face to face was enough for her to forget our petty little arguments, enough to get her on me again. “I have work,” she adds before finally returning to serve the other customers.
I stand there for a moment, astonished. An uncomfortable ache that had been wavering in my chest was growing too intense for me to ignore anymore. Maybe it was all my fault after all. I had told her I wouldn’t sleep with anyone else and in the moment I had meant it. But then I remembered the stakes. Last year to win a national championship, last year to prove my greatness. I wasn’t going to mess it up just because of some girl. A relationship would be nothing more than a distraction, an unnecessary responsibility. I had enough on my plate. Valerie was selfish for wanting me all to herself. She didn’t understand what she was asking for. Maybe calling her a psycho bitch wasn’t so far off.
I feel someone bump into my back and turn around to find a girl, cheeks blushed and apologetic. I see her eyes widen in recognition - it was always that moment when I knew I could have this girl if I wanted.
“Oh fuck, I’m so sorry, I’m a little drunk,” the girl giggles and I offer her an easy smile. I consider taking this girl home, imagining the way I’d lure her into my bed, just a little bit of sweet talk and a smirk would be enough, a hand on her waist, thumb rubbing her skin and soon she’d get this look on her face like she had to have me. It would be so easy, and I wouldn’t have to think about Valerie at all.
But the pain in my chest doesn’t go away, even when I let my mind wander further, how this girl would look underneath me, whimpering while I fuck her. It did nothing to make the pain go away.
“‘S fine,” i murmur and decide to ignore the way she was blinking at me, biting her bottom lip. I grab my drink from the bar, and push past her, finding KK and Ice sitting at our usual table. They both look at me, but don’t ask where I’d been. They both knew better. I sip my drink, cursing to myself in my head about ordering it. With sheer stubbornness I finish it quickly, finding that easier than taking small sips.
“You’re never picking what we drink again,” KK scoffs, copying me, her face scrunching involuntarily when she finishes her drink. But I barely register her words, as I lean back in the chair, head tilting back to watch Valerie.
She’s giggling with Natalie, throwing her head back in amusement. The chatter in the bar is deafening, but I swear I could hear her laugh in my head vividly. Like my brain had memorised each tone of her voice. There was something different about Valerie, she always shined the brightest in every room she was in. Even the dingy bar was lit up by her. She wasn’t even necessarily extremely lively. It was her mere presence that just made everything better.
I noticed it the first time I ever saw her, early september. All she did was walk past me on campus, talking lively into her phone. It was her voice I had heard before even seeing what she looked like. Her voice had been enough to make me have to see her. Of course she hadn’t even looked my way, not even a glance. That was the moment I knew I had to have her.
“You enjoy it?” Valerie asks KK and Ice, fully ignoring me as she walks to our table to clean up. I watch the golden bracelet she always wore dangling on her wrist as she grabs the empty glasses. I lean back and tilt my head to look up at her, needy for her attention. Licking my lips I look her up and down, that usually worked enough to get her naked. But now, she didn’t even glance at me. Annoyance grew within me as she chatted with KK, laughing at her jokes.
It was then when my eyes moved from her lips to her neck that I saw it - a dark bruise underneath her ear, right on the spot where she liked to be kissed. I knew, because I had left many bruises there and gotten scolded for it. But this wasn’t mine. This was someone else’s.
“Okay well see ya around,” Valerie smiles and turns to take the glasses to the back. I feel the pang in my chest quickly flip, turning into anger. I was furious. Who did she think she was? Sleeping around with someone else, not answering my texts, letting someone else mark her like that. I felt my body turn hot, and without a word to KK and Ice I get up from my seat, nearly knocking it over as I take quick strides to reach Valerie, following her into the back, ignoring the STAFF ONLY sign on the door.
My steps are heavy and loud as I reach her, standing by the sink, handling the dirty glasses. I was shaking my head to myself, trying to control my anger. But it was getting the best of me.
“Staff only plea-” Valerie starts and turns to me, unable to miss the redness of my face, the clenched jaw and the way I was biting on the insides of my cheeks. “Paige?” she asks, furrowing her brows, confused.
The pounding in my head grows and I let out a scoff, not feeling in control of myself. My brain was moving faster than I could follow, I felt lightheaded. I felt furious.
“Are you fucking kidding me?” I ask, my voice loud. I didn’t really care about being overheard.
“Huh?” Valerie asks, clearly bewildered, but already getting defensive in response to how I was acting.
“What, you don’t text me, call me or nothing? Because you’ve been too busy fucking some other bitch?” I yell, my hand pointing to her neck. Valerie’s eyes widen in realisation but quickly turn angry too.
“I- WHAT?” She yells back and takes a step towards me.
“Don’t play dumb. So who is it?” I say sternly, grinning bitterly at her, my eyes looking down at her.
She scoffs and rolls her eyes shaking her head which only infuriates me more.
“I said. Who. Is. It?” I repeat, grabbing her arm. She pushes my hand off her, anger growing on her face as her brows furrowed further.
“How is it any of your business who I sleep with Paige?” She argues.
She had a point. We weren’t exclusive. Matter of fact it was pretty hypocritical of me to be so angry when I had a roster of girls on my phone, ready to answer my calls at any time of day. My anger had taken over though, and the little sense I had when it came to Valerie, was completely gone.
I throw my head back and chuckle bitterly, provoking her further. “See I knew you’re a lotta things but didn’t know you were a slut too,” I hiss, the words slipping out without much thought. I couldn’t think of anything but how furious I felt.
Valerie laughs loud, but it’s not the sweet laugh I was used to. It was a bitter, angry laugh.
“Me?! You’ve slept with every girl that swings your way on campus and even some that don’t! You’re the slut Paige!” she screams, her wide eyes burning with anger, her finger coming up to point at my face. It pissed me off, the way it was assigning blame, like all of this was my fault. Like it wasn’t she who slept with someone.
“I don’t owe you anything!” she declares, her voice revealing a hint of hurt, the way it cracked slightly. “I’m done with you. I’m serious Paige. Done,” she adds, her voice calmer, but more authoritative. “Now get out of my bar.”
My face was hot and red, my chest was heaving and my head spun. The hurt in her voice made me waver, made my chest ache more. I blink at her stupidly as she turns back to the dishes, already missing having her attention. I was fine with the yelling, the fighting, as long as it meant she was looking at me, or talking to me. But now she’s done with me? Fine, so was I. Wouldn’t take me longer than a day to find a new Valerie.
“Pshh whatever,” I murmur and storm out of the back, heading fast towards the exit. I felt like I couldn’t breathe, my chest felt tight and I could taste the bitter Aperol on my tongue still. It made me nauseous,
I’m gasping for air once I feel the chilly breeze of february hitting my skin. The silence outside was overwhelming, forcing me to realise the rapid pace of my own thoughts. My mind was swirling with flashing images of Valerie, on top of someone, looking down at her like she did at me, the idea of her moaning someone else’s name made me sick.
“Fuck!” I shout, unable to control myself. A group of girls near me turn to look at me but return to their conversation when I sit myself down on the curb. What a standard I was setting for student athletes everywhere right now.
My eyes burn and before I notice, a tear rolls down my cheek. I bury my face into my hands and rub my jaw, my anger easing with each exhale. I didn’t know why I was crying, I didn’t understand any of this. I couldn’t believe the things I had said, the way I had acted. I was supposed to be disciplined, in control, but I felt so out of control when it came to Valerie.
“Paigey…” KK murmurs and suddenly I realise her and Ice are standing in front of me, looking down at me sympathetically. Embarrassed, I wipe the tears away and try to steady my breathing.
“Uhh sorry just gimme a sec guys,” I sigh looking at the ground. They sit on either side of me, wrapping their arms around me. I lean into Ice’s shoulder and I’m grateful how they don’t pry, or talk. We just sit there in silence for a while.
I take a deep sigh and lift my head back up, chewing on my bottom lip. I glance at both of the girls sitting next to me, grateful for the friends I had. At least I got one thing right.
“I dunno what just happened,” I sigh, shaking my head thinking back to my behaviour. The shame I felt made my cheeks turn a shade of red.
KK chuckles softly and ruffles my hair affectionately. “I do,” she mumbles.
I furrow my brows and turn to look at her. She looks back at me like whatever was about to come out of her mouth was obvious. KK and Ice glance at each other before KK opens her mouth to speak.
“Bro you have feelings for her.”
Oh?
Oh.
My mouth parts in realisation as I move my gaze from KK to the pavement. It’s just us now, sitting in silence, the sounds of passing cars and the muted sounds of the bar the only noise in the chilly evening.
“C’mon P boogers, let’s go home,” Ice says, standing up and reaching a hand down to lift me up.
KK hops up and nods. “You need some Tru Fru,” she adds.
With a nod, I let them pull me up, following them to the car. I had feelings for Valerie. Shit. I'd just have to find a way to get over it - I couldn’t afford all this. Not right now. Not with the world watching, waiting for me to fail. Not with a national championship on the line.

astro observations MARS edition
-its so easy to spot a earth mars imo. 🧚🏼 They have a no bs energy to them. very practical and level headed they will get their work done and don’t need anyone’s help either!
🧚🏼‍♂️virgo mars=workaholics HEAVY and yeah they just don’t know how to take a break like please take care of yourself more. a bit critical but its comes from them wanting the best for you.
🧚🏼cap mars girlies have such dominant energy it’s very easy for men to be intimidated by these woman. they demand authority without even trying.
🧚🏼I’ve met very little taurus mars in my life which is surprising coming from a taurus rising but they can come off intimidating at first ngl😭 I believe it’s just that nonchalantness they have idk how to explain it but they just dgaf LMAO. they just give a don’t interrupt my work or else😇
🧚🏼‍♀️I have a soft spot for cap mars and scorpio mars it’s no wonder mars exalts in these signs. it’s something admirable coming from a weak mars :,)
🧚🏼‍♀️so many people talk about scorpio mars sexual energy and while yes THEY DO HAVE THAT. i love the determination they put into EVERYTHING. If a scorpio mars wants something they WILL get it.? wether it be work, school, or a relationship. I notice in relationships they tend to study the person b4 initiating and stare often LMAO
🧜🏼‍♀️I attract so many pisces mars in my life, I feel like water mars attract each other way often. they have this easy going dreamy energy to them. they really do go with the flow, kind, a bit head in the clouds but very vulnerable people.
👼🏻as a cancer mars it’s so hard to have motivation when your just not doing well at all. the moon linking with mars makes you think everything emotionally and even thought it’s considered a weakness I believe it’s something beautiful :,) no but seriously I won’t do anything if I don’t feel like it ugh
🧚🏼‍♀️I have a love/hate relationship with aries mars and I believe it’s because they either fall into 11 or 12 house which is not really a good place for synastry but besides that they come off VERY bold. even though mars exalts in this sign I feel like it doesn’t do well in it?😭 now their anger will show real quick but it’s sizzles down just as fast and they have A TON OF ENERGY. can come off insensitive but it really depends on other placements in the chart.
🧚🏼‍♀️leo mars grab people’s attention so quick it’s crazy… they talk and you can just FEEL their energy. I love leo energy and they’re such good souls and funny people. just like other fire mars bold with what they do.
🧚🏼‍♀️I feel like many people water down sag mars anger… my dad has a sag mars and it’s so scary when he gets mad. also the pluto in sag generation can intensify this placement. they have a very philosophical mind and always think about the bigger picture which I like! It’s probably the jupiter influence, really random but I feel like these people would be great teachers LMAO
🧚🏼‍♀️gemini mars are so chaotic and this is coming from someone with a gemini stellium😭 they talk a lot and I love yapping with these people . they have such a fun vocabulary but they can just come off a big wish washy with their energy. It’s like they can just flip a random switch and put a whole diff vibe out. they can really hurt people with their words but their determination is just if they feel quirky that day I feel.
🧚🏼‍♀️now the only libra mars I’ve met is my mom and all I can say is that she avoids confrontation like no other. comes off as passive and it’s kinda ironic me saying this as a cancer mars but yeah. they find beauty in everyday routine which I think is the venusian energy.very kind people and love taking care of themselves
🧚🏼‍♀️never met a aquarius mars so I can’t really say anything but I feel like they would have a eccentric energy! they probably would love hanging out with their friends and find joy in work If there’s something different to do everyday.
QUICK MARS DATING OBSERVATION. 🧚🏼‍♀️
we know that mars energy represents man and that’s usually the first thing I notice in men obv when dating.
-pisces mars men are very shy their cute and lovey but it’s gonna be hard to really know what their feeling cause YOUR gonna have to make the move😭 saying this in the nicest way but they get too in their head about what to do and then they just don’t do it lmao.
- scorpio mars man and I feel like this is one of the few placements that matches my cancer mars. theirs just this underlying feeling of I know ur hella passionate and that’s okay cause I am too.😍they will INITIATE that’s for sure
-sag mars men love:,) this guy was older than me by like 3 years but our chemistry was so good and I think it’s because my venus and his mars made a opposition( good balance). I learned a lot from him
- mars 4th house synastry -I WANNA TAKE CARE OF UUUUU
-mars 7th house synastry - let’s get into a relationship rn even though I’ve talked to you for only a month 😍
-mars 6th house synastry- wow let me take you everywhere with me and let’s basically live together😭
-mars 5th house synastry-“you make me feel like im livin a teenage dream”
-mars 11th house synastry-friends but more than friends? But friends….
THANKS FOR 200 FOLLOWERS YALL 💘

My least favorite placements (personal opinion)
Tumblr media
‧₊˚ ☁️⋅♡𓂃 ࣪ ִֶָ☾. ‧₊˚ ☁️⋅♡𓂃 ࣪ ִֶָ☾. ‧₊˚ ☁️⋅♡𓂃 ࣪ ִֶָ☾. ‧₊˚ ☁️⋅♡𓂃
• please remember that these are just my personal takes and observations mostly based on people I’ve met/know and if it doesn’t apply to you, it’s most likely aimed at the undeveloped versions of the placement! 💕
#1: Virgo moons
I’m sorry I have way too many people in my life with this placement (especially family members) and y’all just know how to get under people’s skin. Every virgo moon I’ve met seems to physically be unable to hold back their unwanted opinions and criticism. Y’all will serve the meanest comment on a silver platter when no one asked or wanted to hear that shit in the first place and then label it as “just being honest/trying to help” like nah you’re just straight up being annoying. So many virgo moons are also control freaks and want to project their routines and habits onto other people and enforce all their little rules onto them and expect everyone to accommodate them and their needs without considering other people’s needs. Also, this placement tends to be very insecure with themselves and their own inner critics so must of the time they also protect their insecurities onto other people cause they can’t fix them within themselves and that’s probably also why they dish out little snarky critiques to the people around them. They can also be way too pessimistic and “conservative” which gets on my nerves sm like you take these people somewhere on a night out and they complain about the music being “too loud” or people “talking too much and being annoying” like chill Karen. Stop trying to be a perfectionist babe, it’s okay to make mistakes
#2: Venus/sun/stellium in the 10H
Having this placement on its own in your natal chart is a blessing in a sense because you may receive a lot of good luck when it comes to your public reputation and people like you but personally, I feel like being around people with this placement isn’t as great. A lot of people I know with this placement tend to come off as superficial or “social climbers” who use others for career and reputation benefits. These are the types of friends that will ditch you if you’re not popular enough or if people are gossiping about you because they want to make themselves look good and will ignore you in public but then be your bestie in private cause they don’t wanna be seen with you. They also only seem to always talk about their image or what other people think about them. For example, I know people with this placement who would complain about their social media or followers every time we hung out. They would always complain about losing followers or why they can’t “have enough followers” and what to do to gain many. I had friends with this placement who would also ask for a lot but never give in return and put themselves on a high pedestal thinking they are constantly worthy of praise or deeds from others. On the downside, these people may put a false mask to the public. They can appear as kind and good-hearted when in reality they may not be that way and know how to manipulate in order to get what they want.
#3: Leo/Sag mercuries
I will say that these people are super fun and know how to tell the best stories and they are also very good at making people feel included in their life. However, on the flipside people with this placement seem to live in a world that is only made for them and only has space for them to be in. I’ve met so many ppl with Leo & sag mercuries and it always seems so hard for them to acknowledge the fact that other people have feelings too and what they say can hurt others. They just think of themselves as the main character most of the time which when they do it excessively, it becomes really annoying. I feel like people with this placement just don’t have the ability to be introspective and reflect on their actions and things they say to understand if maybe someone took it the wrong way or if they’re being too much. They also have little to no patience or tolerance when someone else is speaking and they find it impossible to let someone tell their full story without interrupting or sharing something about themself like it’s okay to let others have the spotlight for once (Im a Leo moon so I’m lowkey dragging myself a bit here). Also similar to virgo moons, they may make rude or “honest” comments because they are very direct and when someone expresses that it hurts them, they get super defensive and fail to see it from another person’s perspective. Also talking louder doesn’t mean you won the argument
#4: Gemini Venus
Please figure out what you want omdssss. Being in a relationship with these people is not for the weak let me tell you. I have an Aquarius Venus so in some aspects I get along well with Gemini Venus but in others it’s like I can never read their mind and they’re constantly changing it every 5 seconds. You would expect these people to be very good and open communicators since they’re associated w mercury but most of the time it just feels like they’re on a non-stop adventure with whatever their brain tells them to do and you just have to guess what they want and do it or they’ll get bored of you and ghost you. I know y’all need constant mental stimulation but I feel like most of the time the other person is offering that to you but you just want an excuse to get with someone else. CHEATERS. Especially the men with this placement. Options exist and y’all love that. Also in general and with friends these people can be very flakey they’ll make it feel like you’re their best friend one day then you barely know them the next.
#5: Moon square Mars or Pluto/moon in the 8H
These people know how to get what they want and can be incredibly manipulative. Be careful and try not to play their game cause once you do, it’s a never-ending mind fuck. Many people I know with this placement are the definition of “secret opps” or your “secret haters”. They most likely have a lot of unresolved baggage or problems so they look for any opportunity to hurt someone else and take it out on them (when the placement is unhealthy/undeveloped ofc). Also, this placement to me screams “evil/narcissist” mother. These people probably had a mother that was really controlling or emotionally toxic and they grew up repeating her habits and will continue to act just like her. My step sister has one of these placements and she would do whatever manipulative things her mother put in her head, to other people and report back to her like a dog. These people are usually completely blinded and owned by their mothers. They’ve most likely had life on hard mode and they resent anyone who’s had things going better for them and they find it hard to be happy and supportive of others. Everytime I see this placement in someone’s birth chart, I know not to share too many details with them or trust them that easily cause they know how to hide and are calculated with betraying you.
#6: Cancer Sun
Idk some of them just rub me the wrong way. It really depends on their other placements but usually cancer suns with air placements in their chart get on my nerves cause they can be so passive aggressive and when you meet them at first glance you get this vibe that they’re trying their best to be fake nice to you but they secretly have it out for you. These people are moody asf bonus points if they have a water rising and when you ask them what’s wrong they’ll just sulk in silence and have an attitude until you actively do something to give them attention or make things better. These people also hold a grudge for life and sometimes over the dumbest and smallest things. They’re the type of people to dedicate their whole life to hating you cause you accidentally bumped into them when walking past them. Also their victim mentality is so tiring, they constantly seek attention and validation over small things and have a hard time taking accountability for their actions and admitting they were wrong.

Levi's horrible flirting skills part 8.
Tumblr media
Masterlist link to all the previous parts.
“So... King’s anniversary’s coronation. Are you coming?” Erwin casually dropped the question without a clear addressee, or at least in Levi’s opinion, as he played with a pen while waiting for the early morning meeting to end. He had only slept a very counted number of hours.
But as the silence reigned, it made him raise his attention, fearing that the question was directed at him. And indeed, it was. Erwin was looking at him.
“Are you coming?” Erwin insisted. “I don’t think I’ve to remind you how important this event is.”
Escaping the intense blue eyes, Levi pretended to be interested in anything else inside the room. “I... I’m rather busy. I’ve got a lot of delayed paperwork I should work on over the weekend.”
The commander looked exhausted as he stared back at him, the invitation slowly dropping onto the table. “I’m sure your boss, me, wouldn’t mind you presenting your work a couple of days later.”
“You don’t know my boss.”
Erwin sighed loudly and put away the letter with the invitation. “You know, very influential and powerful people attend these events. It would be great for the Scouts’ economy if you could go and land us some donations.”
He passed his plus-one invitation to Hange so they could try to get some donations for their titan investigations. Levi fought the urge to roll his eyes as Erwin’s speech was so frequent and repeated, like a mother angry at returning home to find the dishes not cleaned.
“You know that me and influential filthy pigs don’t get along.”
“Hey, I’ve been part of the Scouts longer, and he gets his own invitation while I get a plus-one?” The brunette complained.
“’Cause you’re not Humanity’s strongest?” Levi asked back with a raised eyebrow. “If you want it, I’ll gladly give you that stupid invitation.”
“Ugh, since that title landed you a date with that nurse of yours, you’ve gotten cocky about it,” Hange pointed out playfully, intending to get on Levi’s last nerve.
Erwin chuckled as Levi squinted his eyes. “She didn’t go out with me because of it.”
“Not even you believe that,” unlikely of him, Erwin joined in on the joke, making Levi roll his eyes and frown deeply.
“You two are just so fucking jealous. When was the last time any of your titles or medals got you a chick?”
The other two’s silence spoke volumes as they searched for a proper comeback.
He began to notice the small changes, like when they met again in a hallway. She greeted him first over Erwin and, very important detail, she still called him “captain,” but Levi swore it had an underlying sexy accent to it... or at least that’s what he liked to believe.
The first rule in the animal world is to land her interest; the second one? Maintain it. That means marking territory. This time subtly, he was not committing the same mistake twice.
How many hours was Levi sleeping to manage getting his paperwork done, his work as a captain, and trying to pay her as many visits as he could when he was over at the Capital for meetings? None, but at least he made sure a good couple of the MPs, who also walked around the hospital trying to land a nurse girlfriend, would think twice before approaching her.
“You want scones? It was my day for buying supplies for the staff room,” she commented while moving around, preparing tea. Levi was there doing paperwork he brought with him. Balancing both of their schedules wasn’t particularly easy, and perhaps that’s why their second date was just going to be a little after-work dinner.
‘Maybe... it’s my moment to casually imply that I don’t have a sweet tooth.’
“I don’t like sweet stuff, actually.”
‘...great, just great.’
The confusion was all over her face as she turned around. “Oh...” she softly frowned as she gave it a deeper thought, “...but I gifted you a cake.”
“Yeah.”
Lips pressed together as she stared at him. “You could just tell me.”
‘Yeah well, the time I tried to just tell ya, you got angry at me for a good fucking time, so perhaps it wasn’t the best idea.’
How many times had he seen the same picture he had right in front of him, only separated by a couple of steps? Eyes rolling and clicking his tongue, finding it so idiotic that it was even annoying. The only sort of speech he could come up with for his own defense was that “he wasn’t in service,” and usually they were.
Yes, they. Military police members walking around downtown without the jackets of the uniform on, but instead, the green unicorn swinging as any of their girls walked around with them on their shoulders.
There she was, the wings of freedom adorning her back. The sleeves weren’t on, just the shoulder pads casually resting on hers, preventing it from falling but not secured enough. ‘It’s like too cold... but too warm for my coat,’ she had mentioned as they exited the building, doing honor to the season where taking the winter coat early in the morning is a good idea but, by afternoon, it hangs on your arm.
“Here,” he had said, and before he knew it, he was seeing her walking slightly ahead of him with the jackets contrasting against her doveish uniform.
Marking territory, isn’t it all about that? Especially at the Capital, where all the MPs are looking at them as if they were the most absurd of all couples or perhaps it’s just plain jealousy.
“You’re going to love them! The food is so good, and the portions are huge,” she commented behind him as she guided him through streets it was rather obvious she knew better than him. As the sky turned coral, with days getting longer, the golden hour only helped highlight how cute he found her like that.
‘I’ve become what I swore to destroy...’
“I’m asking for a small one because if I eat too much, I am gonna fall asleep, and today I’ve got night service,” she commented, looking at the options at the street stand.
‘Thank god her suggestion wasn’t some stupidly fancy shop at Mitras that would force me to eat plain rice for the rest of the month.’
“You work tonight?” he commented back as he decided what to eat.
“Yes, there are a lot of mothers who reported feeling contractions. I may be working all night,” she replied before pointing, “If you like spicy, those sauces are great.”
He handed the money to the owner as he received both options and passed hers forward with his left hand.
“Thank you~” she sang, smiling back at him.
“You’re welcome,” he muttered as he put away the change back in his wallet.
‘Havin’ a girlfriend is expensive.’
He felt the tug from his arm as she gripped his hand and began to guide him. “Come on, I know a good spot at the park,” she said enthusiastically as she hand-hold dragged him.
Her hand felt stupidly soft against his, he thought, and delicate as if the absurd feeling of breaking it crossed his mind.
‘...but 100% worth it.’
He let her drag him, mostly because she could hardly even dream of moving him if he refused, but if she wished to get him somewhere, he would just let her have it.
‘I’ve to give it to them... the Capital is full of classist snob jerks, but the places are fucking nice,’ he thought, recalling how the downtown closer to the Scouts’ facility at
Wall Rose always smelled like horse dung, the little poor town always looked a bit grey, and there wasn’t much to do there. In contrast, the huge park with well-kept green grass, flowers, kids with expensive uniforms, statues, and decorated benches like the one they were sitting on marked a difference, especially since that place received the early spring sun directly.
‘There go my taxes.’
“MH-” she hummed, passing down a bite from her meal, “You want to taste mine?”
Pushing her option in his direction for him to take a bite, Levi checked their surroundings and felt the shame of perhaps someone seeing him doing that, but he soon began to suspect that keeping a relationship would require him to start doing a lot of embarrassing stuff. He took one bite and hummed in agreement.
Swallowing, he said with his usual monotone voice, “Wanna taste mine?”
As she bent forward to take a bite, Levi forced himself to look away as perhaps there were too many kids around to even think it.
‘Why when she offers it, it’s cute, and when I do it, I sound like a fucking pervert?’
“Mhhm, very good, I like yours. It’s more creamy!”
‘...stop it, please.’
As they ate, he asked, “Do you like kids?”
She turned around, confused, almost shocked. “Fuck—no. I didn’t mean it like that,” Levi quickly realized how odd that sounded. “I mean, the Midwife path is hard, so you must like kids a lot.”
‘I mean if you want to reply to the other question, it’s also valid... I like kids very fucking much, let me know when you’re willing to start practicing,’ he thought.
“Ah!” she exclaimed, understanding he referred to their previous conversation about her prospects of work tonight. “I became an orphan very young; both of my parents were very old when they decided to have me, so they passed away before I finished my studies. And midwifery is a very necessary but judged profession. Most of my coworkers can’t do it because their husbands or fathers think it’s inappropriate for a girl to be around strangers’ houses in the middle of the night.”
“So... since I’ve nobody to tell me what I can or can’t do, I decided I should do it,” she replied to him. “This is a good time to tell you, I guess, that I’m not dropping my career.”
Levi shook his head. “I don’t mind it.”
“That’s why I went to Erwin’s office the other time,” she commented, making Levi frown, recalling the scene. “He was helping me write a project to present to the higher ranks.”
Her enthusiasm dropped slightly. “But... they didn’t accept it. I felt so bad.”
“Ah, that was why you were all weeping when we returned from the expedition?” he dropped the detail, but mostly because the idea was still lingering in his head.
One hand covered her mouth, and then she blushed. “Ah! You saw that?! So embarrassing,” she said, giving a subtle little hit on his arm playfully. “Why didn’t those morons accept it?”
She shrugged with a soft sigh. “They said something about the government resources not being enough for that proposal.”
“Tch, they have money for their stupid events but not for this? What did you propose?”
“Ugh... mh.hmp,” she seemed reluctant to reply and hummed incoherently. “I... don’t want to offend you.”
Levi frowned deeply but raised a single eyebrow as a silent question.
“It was about doing campaigns of pre-natal check-ups on the underground pregnant women. Sometimes they have difficult pregnancies, and the lucky ones are dragged up here if they have some connections when the situation is already unsalvageable. The pre-natal non-permanent posts are all around the walls except there... but, well, I told you their resolution,” she scratched the side of her neck nervously as she explained.
“Probably because we will have to bring security to go, and MPs do not want to participate.”
“Why would that offend me?” Levi spat out the question as her nervousness appeared ridiculous.
“Oh well... I thought that perhaps it’s a sensitive topic for you, and I didn’t want to ruin the mood.”
“I’m not that soft,” Levi replied quietly, but he felt completely different. He knew she was kind-hearted, but it warmed him that, despite the idea not reaching far, at least there were people trying to change something. “You should keep trying until those assholes listen to you.”
She hummed positively. “You could try to change their minds,” she suggested between chuckles.
Levi scoffed. “Talk to Erwin; he’s the one who doesn’t allow me to beat their asses.”
‘Everything is going so well... it’s suspicious.’
“Oh! Careful!” she said, catching his attention before she ran her finger through his chin and then sucked it clean. “You’re going to dirty your shirt’s neck.”
‘... just let me fuck you already, I’m on my knees.’
“I was thinking...” she started, turning around to look at him, doll eyes and a cheeky smile. “Maybe we could hang out this upcoming weekend. The celebrations for the king’s coronation will be ongoing all night all around the walls. I thought that maybe we could stroll around too.”
Levi was already sweating cold; she was taking the initiative, inviting him out... there was only one issue.
“Wouldn’t it be nice?”
“Ehm—”
‘Think of an excuse, you asshole.’
“I... I actually have to stay at my place that weekend,” he said, but his last words were quickly followed by a soft pout, puppy eyes, and a subtle “Ow,” from her. Levi wasn’t usually a person to give excuses or unnecessarily explain himself.
‘Oh shit, it’s not that I don’t want to—it’s just that—’
“I had this stupid invitation to the higher-ranks party whatsoever and—”
‘And I’m kinda escaping my responsibility of attending that shitty party that’s why—oh... oh no,’ he thought.
Her eyes began to shine, and the smile returned to her features. “Oh my god, you’re going to the official party?”
‘No... no I wasn’t going—that’s the whole point,’ he thought.
“I always wanted to go to one of those,” she said with a dreamy stare, her voice subtle and soft, almost begging but not quite.
‘No, for fuck’s sake, don’t look at me like that.’
—
“These are the preparations for the upcoming week, and I’ve already reviewed your paperwork, and they seem alright,” Erwin reorganized the piles of paper in front of him quickly for the other soldier.
Slender fingers picked it up, returning to the door’s direction, yet the pace was rather odd, and the fingers tapped the new papers with uneasiness. Erwin didn’t pay it much mind as he returned to filling out the multiple letters he needed to get ready so they would be sent first thing the upcoming morning. Spreading dust over the black ink so it would dry quicker, his movements were controlled yet rushed.
“So... I was wondering... do you still have that invitation?”
Those words made the blond freeze up mid-movement. He slowly looked up at Levi, who was standing in the middle of his office. Each second that passed, announced by the clock, changed the Commander’s expression from confused to angry as his thick eyebrows drew together.
Straightening up but not saying a word, his fingers intertwined. “Tell me, Levi... how many years have you worked with the scouts?”
“Tch,” Levi switched his weight from one leg to the other, arms crossing on top of his chest. Levi rolled his eyes, annoyed, “What does that even matter? Five.”
“Ah, yes, I see,” Erwin muttered as if he didn’t already know the answer. “And how many balls, parties, and official events have you been invited to?”
The Captain had a feeling where this was going and only frowned deeply. “Many... all of them.”
“Yes, that’s correct,” the blond confirmed slowly as if the information needed to sink in. “You see, I’m asking because it seems like I must be losing my memory... because I can’t recall a single damn time you went to any of those events without me having to coerce you into it.”
“When I don’t go to those shitty events, it’s about me not supporting the scouts. When I decide to fucking go, it’s also an issue?”
“No, no, no, no,” Erwin clicked his tongue repeatedly, “You didn’t decide to go... she wants to go, isn’t it?”
Silence. Reigning silence.
“Are you making me a jealousy scene?” Levi raised an eyebrow, confused.
“No, I just can’t believe that as your boss and friend, I’ve begged you all this time to go to those events, and you’re going because a girl—my friend—asked you to. You’re so henpecked it should give you secondhand embarrassment.”
“Fine! Yes, yes, I’m doing it for her. Happy?” Levi replied, offended. “In a week and a half, we’re leaving for an expedition, and I’ve not even seen a shitty ankle! Fucking excuse me for trying to get laid before I risk my life out there with one of your suicidal plans! Maybe I should get out of here and ask Mike what type of stupid bullshit you did to get Marie’s attention.”
The battle of stares was over when, reluctantly, Erwin pulled out the invitation from his drawer and handed it over, “Here, thank you for reconsidering it.”
“You’re welcome... I’m in favor of the plans for the upcoming expedition, by the way,” Levi walked back to the desk to pick up the letter and replied as he took the piece of paper with him.
“Glad to hear.”
And the two of them carried on with their responsibilities as if neither of them had ever mentioned anything.

🪐 Astro Observations!!!✨
Happy 2024 babes! Here’s to another year sharing astrology stuff with all of you 🤩

Yes water moons have great intuition and could be psychic but I very often notice they tend to allow their personal feelings interfere with their decisions and could tend to not follow their intuition as much. The ones that have a more reliable or unbiased intuition imo are Earth moons and Aquarius moon.
Scorpio Venus really do gravitate to unhealthy relationships… All their connections tend to have unfair or imbalanced dynamics to them where there’s no equal give and take. They believe love means throwing yourself and your life away for another person (or they expect someone to give everything away for them) with little to nothing in return. They may not understand the difference between deep intimacy and unhealthy attachment
Libra placements and their ability to appear likable even when they have the shittiest personality deep down
In my opinion Moon is the most important planet if you really wanna begin to know someone at their core. Ultimately no planet can give you full info without the context of the whole chart tho (#AllPlanetsMatter), but you can really uncarcarve sm about someone just by moon placement/aspects/degree, etc. Moon rules your needs and so it really cements your personality and its an energy that you'll project in so many areas of your life (relationships, career, etc)
Fixed Mars are ARGUMENTATIVE fr fr. They need to have the last word and will die on that hill if they have to💀Honorable mention: Virgo/Gemini Mars due to Mercury influence but they’re more about friendly banter and aren’t as stubborn
80% of Aries Moons I've met were very philosophical/spiritual/religious. They can develop a self-awareness that gives them a lot of wisdom. The other 20% were just adult toddlers and very egotistic...
Capricorn placements and their internalized elitism. They really do believe some people are better than others which is the shadow of Capricorn unfortunately
Aquarius Moons are some of the most traumatized people I know fr fr. Whenever I get to know their life and backstory Im always like bro….😶😶 It makes me so sad cause they always bring such good vibes everywhere (they have a playful aura) when in reality there’s a depth of pain underneath you wouldn’t even fathom through that unbothered persona. The OG misunderstood.
We all know Scorpio is all about depth, intensity and looking beyond the surface but I’ve very often observed the exact opposite in scorpio placements. They could tend to be very superficial, greedy and materialistic, more obsessed with wealth and status than any earth placement (it all comes down to power). In such cases their interest in occult or deep topics could also be superficial or opportunistic, like they only see it as something that could give them a leg up in life or help them avoid unseen threats but that's about it.
Cancer Risings do not come across as sensitive at all. They tend to have a rather sassy personality and are pretty defensive 90% of the time tbh. Think about it, are crabs 🦀 cute and cuddly? No, you actually actually have to be very careful around one cause they sting lol. They do wear their heart on their sleeves and are very sensitive and perceptive but because of this they constantly feel like their vulnerability is out for everyone to see hence the guarded attitude.
^I've also noticed they are VERY opinionated and will hold on very tightly to how they think/feel about something. This results in having a reputation for being kinda bold and sharp (Aries 10th). Pro tip: do NOT question these native's morals or integrity unless you wanna see a very snappy side to them, they respond very very very badly if you even insinuate that they might be hypocritical in their values/what matters to them
The interpretation that Aquarius in the 4th house means you’re an outcasted black sheep in the family low-key doesn’t make sense to me tbh. Aquarius is the sign of camaraderie, friendship, inclusivity and community. All the people that I’ve seen with this placement were actually very bonded to their roots and considered their family (and the people they bonded with during childhood) to be "their people" (they also keep their friends close to heart). These natives do tend to distinct themselves as they grow up but this is due to Leo 10th house. I've noticed their family is in general very supportive of them or at the very least they received some input in their upbringing that made them feel special and/or like their uniqueness was celebrated. Feel free to share your opinion/experience tho
I've noticed Virgo Mars people have a perfect balance between being confident in themselves and fulling trusting their abilities while also staying humble and acknowledge room for improvement. Very mature and self-accountable and they're also great people to work with cause they are highly appreciative of good contribution
Sagittarius placements and their ability to be casually rude in a charming way??? 😭
Moon in the 10th house do not have a reputation for being emotional at all, it's quite the opposite they dislike exposing their feelings like that. A lot of their energy is spent trying to appear put-together and emotionally stable. The ones I've noticed have a reputation for being moody or sensitive are Mars in the 10th house
Venus-Moon aspects probably grew up in an environment that fed up this idea they had to be beautiful and conventionally likable in order to be worthy of love. These natives tend to base their self-worth on the amount of emotional validation they get from others and struggle telling the difference between kindness and love
A couple notes on everyone’s fave topic: 8th house synastry
We all know this overlay deals with power dynamics. On a general basis I’ve noticed it’s the planet person who tends to have the upper hand. Exeption: Moon. When your moon falls in someone’s 8th house you tend to be vulnerable one due to the soft nature of this planet, but the house person secretly feels more intimidated
You will NAWT be able to keep secrets from someone you have 8th house synastry with specially if you’re the house person. Sooner or later they’ll see through you, circumstances might force you to expose yourself or you’ll simply feel drawn to revealing the truth to them. With water synastry in general you will feel drawn to share more deep or hidden parts of yourself/your life but with the 8th house you can’t help it, like there’s almost an accusatory tension between the two that grows the more you try to hide something from them
Something I see no one mentioning about 8th house synastry is the planet person always feels intimidated by the house person's success. The planet person will try to take part in the house person's success by taking some credit and have a sense of control over what belongs to the house person, it's giving Kanye's "I made that bitch famous". At best the planet person would want to help boost the house person's endeavors. Either way, when someone's planets land on your 8th house, you will never feel like something is completely yours anymore, somehow the planet person will "take" something away from you that you can't get back making you feel like you owe them or they owe you something big (8th house=debt), which is why this overlay very often goes south and tends to be very depleting.
If we're talking business (which 8th house deals with that) the house person is likely to take a risk on the planet person, invest on them (can be money, time, resources, trust, etc) in hopes that it'll pay off. The house person is most likely to loose something from their involvement with the planet person, but they can also gain a lot from the planet person if the investment pays off. In either case, one could tend to exploit the other if there’s any ill intent from the individual
Water mars people are very smothering in their affection tbh. Once you’ve been chosen, get ready to be bombarded by their attention a bit more each time. Secret stalker vibes. This doesn’t always mean they love you tho, if underdeveloped they may want to “bond” in order to have emotional control over you and use you. For them it’s easy to get what they want through manipulation so leading people on or fooling around is something they tend to do a lot
Going back to the affection topic, water venus are smothering too but they go about their obsession devotion in a much more soft and non-domineering way where they give a lot of power away to their partner
People with Gemini+Scorpio placements in their chart embody the mischievous trickster archetype fr fr. They’re funny but also a menace. Have an ease to become that type of deceitful manipulator who thrives in chaos
I have a theory that your Moon represents the kind of bond or relationship you have with your mother but Ceres represents how your mother actually is
Capricorn and Scorpio placements are huge tsunderes imo 😭
Chiron in Sagittarius/9th house have become disappointed with religious and/or academic institutions. For them both systems are essentially flawed and don't work or don't make sense
+When it comes to religion I've seen a lot of them being atheist and skeptics. Some others still believed in god/universe/etc. but they did not want to support any stablished religious institution and instead have preferred to craft their own belief system. In both cases, they saw the institutionalization of believe systems as something that hindered their freedom of thought and expansion
+When it comes to academics a very similar thing happens. They felt like collage and the educational system restricted their mind instead of expanding it so they just preferred to walk their own path and find growth elsewhere. A friend of mine with this placement quit collage and the other people I've seen who did finish it all said they had a kinda dreadful and/or unfulfilling collage experience which they low-key regret
If you’ve ever felt powerless in the house where you have your pluto, that’s because you gave your power away to the opposite house. For example, if you have Pluto in the 5th house and you felt powerless when it comes to expression, your creativity, etc that’s because you gave too much power to the public opinion/peer pressure (11th house) and what they may say about you if you express yourself genuinely
Scorpio Moons always battle with that "am I a good person?", "am I a monster deep down?" inner conflict. They are more in touch with darker emotions and experiences than the average person so for them it's particularly easy to channel their shadow. This can often make them doubt their own integrity or think they are doomed to never feel happiness and inner peace. This is moon's debilitation for a reason, their inner emotional world is ruled by chaos and turmoil and they tend to be a bit too comfortable (moon) in toxicity and drama, nothing is ever light-hearted for them. If developed this ability of staying in touch with the shadow side of things can actually give them lots of awareness and resilience for the darker sides of the world as well as a very solid moral compass and compassion
Leo Moons likely had grandiose standards forced on them that inflated their self-importance. It's giving "mommy told me I am the best and most special of all" which is great but now they be carrying that mindset for the rest of their lives and this is where lot of their infamous sensitivity and fragile ego comes from cause not fulfilling these standards deeply hurts their heart. In consequence they tend to be more unprepared to accept humbling experiences that'll make them mature
virgo risings are funny!!!! I haven't seen anyone mention this, but every virgo rising I've met cracked me UP, they are so witty and never misse a chance to throw in a cheeky joke every 2 minutes. I think this is overlooked because they keep a rather awkward demeanor to them which often makes for a rather dry delivery. Best examples of this are Ryan Raynolds, Keanue Reeves, Emma Watson, Cole Sprouse...
Also, all Virgo risings I've met tend to come across as huge snobs so it's very common that people don't take their humor or friendliness seriously
Honestly I've noticed this theme with Virgo/6th house inner placements in general where their judgemental nature always makes them unfriendly or snarky to some degree. They can be the kind of people who are never happy with anything and always have a bone to pick.
My main theory as to why Leo risings are the most shy out of all Leo placements is because a lot of them grew up in very problematic and dysfunctional families (Scorpio 4th house) where they were shamed for showing vulnerability or being genuine (Cancer 12th house)
I’ve noticed Aries Suns and Capricorn Suns tend to relate a lot to their fathers, they tend to have very similar character traits as their fathers. For good or for bad their relationship with their father is always very important in their personality.
I find that LEO Suns and Sagittarius Suns always be having daddy issues tho like 😭😭😭😭
One thing about Capricorn is they can be literal billionaires and yet will still refuse to spend a dime on something they think is not worth it
Mutable Moons don’t commit 10000% to things, they’re the type to always have a foot out just in case. They're most likely to commit to things if they don't feel forced or expected to stay permanently
Cardinal energy is very consistent and responsable. People with prominent cardinal placements have a really developed sense of agency, focus and direction (imo this will be more obvious with moon, mars and asc). There's something about them that always gives me this put together "I've got this" kinda vibe, they always seem like they've got it together and always know what to do even when they're lost.
Fixed mercuries and their inability to understand or accept that two different points can be true
Sun/Leo in the 3rd house could want to have a nice car, an expensive or luxurious car from a well-known brand
I’ve seen people saying Venus-Mars conjunction gives it girl vibes. This is also HIGHLY true for Mars-ruled Venus (Aries/Scorpio Venus) or Venus-ruled Mars (Libra/Taurus Mars)

Dp x Dc AU: Damian and Ellie become friends, and for all his research into her ‘Guardian’ older siblings, he can’t seem to understand why they’re asking after his own homelife.
Ellie was an annoyance to him from the moment they met, and this unfortunately meant that her and Jon got along like a house on fire. She’d transferred to Gotham Academy in the middle of the year and clearly had no idea what a private school was like politically- She walked right up to him and declared them friends. He’d retorted something about preferring to be enemies, she immediately had a shark like grin and after school they had their first spat- which Jon immediately flew into town for upon hearing Damian’s typically fight related biometrics (which, yes, he always listened for).
Immediately upon Jon pulling them apart, Ellie asked again if they could be friends and Damian accepted. Jon is bewildered but hey! New Pal! And she can throw down! How Neat! (plus she didn’t ask how Jon appeared so quickly-he wasn’t caught flying because of their fight- success! Identity kept secret!)
Ellie eventually invites them over to her place since she lives closest to the school, and the apartment is meager if not incredibly well kept. Jazz is the one home at this time, makes them all some apple slices and ensures that they did their homework. Jon declares that Lois would love her. Jazz asks if Damian is safe at home, and she has a weird green color to her eyes for just a second when she asks, but Damian assures her that the Wayne family is merely a rambunctious one with too many children.
The next time they come by her older brother Danny is the one who is home, and he looks absolutely exhausted as he mixes instant coffee granules into his energy drink. Damian learns that he’s an engineer at WE and working night shifts- apparently Danny was home the last time they visited but was asleep. Danny also kind of looks at Damian funny for a second, and asks if he’s safe at home, Ellie protests that they can’t keep asking him and Damian defends his family once more.
Damian goes home after one of their visits and at the family dinner table if there is anything about him that reads as ‘abused child’ since he keeps getting this treatment by the Nightengale siblings. Tim doesn’t add anything towards Damian’s predicament but does explain that Danny Nightengale is off limits from the rest of the family- He’s not to be adopted and he’s not to be researched, this dude is his main engineer on a Bat project and Tim’s personal project to crack.
Jason, who happened to attend because it was Alfred’s Eggplant Parmesan night, voices that his new therapist is also a Nightengale. She’s great (the whole family has noticed) but he’s also contemplating dropping her as a therapist for... reasons. (The whole family understands that he’s in love with her and theres a betting pool around it.)
Bringing the conversation back to the start, Bruce suggests that Damian invite them over for dinner so that they can see he has a stable homelife. Tim and Jason protest but it gets ignored. Damian asks Ellie at school and she happily accepts with “Great! I can’t wait to haunt your house!”
The Nightengales arrive, and fit right in. The evening goes off without out any major issues or bumps in the road- although the entire family + Danny are all keen on Jason pursuing Jazz (who keeps refusing to comment despite blushing every other word he says to her). Ellie is adored by the whole family, though Damian does his best to threaten them away. Danny is incredibly loose lipped about the project he’s working on to Tim’s horror but Danny just kind of winks and says “this feels like a room of people that can keep a secret.” (Danny doesn’t know they’re bats, he just assumes this cause they’re all family and so nice.)
Eventually at the end of the night Bruce asks why they keep asking after Damian’s homelife and safety- what makes them so concerned? Danny just spills the beans:
“I’ve met a lot of undead in my day, but Damian was brought back to life in a way I’m still trying to understand. Like Jason? Easy peasy, got dipped in the green stuff. Damian? So Strange. Plus like the kid is like 15, it took me until 14 to die the first time but I had a portal to another dimension under my house and he lives in a mansion.”
Chaos.

The joy of missing out \\ Lando Norris
summary: You and Lando celebrate your birthday on the same day. While he's planning a big party, you'd rather spend the night on your own. Not like he's gonna let that happen…
additional info: Alpine!driver!reader. Have you heard "The joy of missing out" by AleXa? No? That's what I was listening to while writing this.
Tumblr media
This year you didn’t feel like celebrating your birthday. You just wanted to stay under the warm blanket, binge-watching your favorite comfort show and eating pizza all day.
You weren’t really on speaking terms with your family after a stupid argument at a family gathering last year, and your old friends believed you changed a lot since you joined F1, so they weren’t exactly keen to spend time with you either, especially after you relocated to Monaco like so many of the drivers did. This left you getting more and more comfortable with the idea of being alone, spending your limited free time in your apartment instead of attending parties you were invited to.
On the most recent race weekend though, Lando and Oscar caught you in the paddock and the three of you started chatting, soon being joined by other drivers, and the conversation shifted to Lando’s upcoming birthday. They were planning on partying together, even now they were talking about who would bring who, if they should spend the night at the same place, or move around, maybe heading to the place of one of them.
It was only after a good ten minutes that something dawned on Lando. “Wait, your birthday is on the same day,” he told you, the little light bulb above his head almost visible. “That’s great! You should invite your friends too!” The Brit got excited at the thought, but when he noticed you were just shaking your head, he could tell you would say no to the whole thing. “You’re not planning on missing out, are you?”
As you let out an annoyed groan, the others began to try and convince you, saying it was great that they could celebrate not one, but two birthdays that year, and you were like everyone’s little sister, you were practically family, so this party was mandatory for you. Last year you missed it because you were with your family and friends back home, spending time with them as you usually did when you had the time, but this year it was an open secret that you’d rather retreat into your shell after race weekends.
“Guys, I just… don’t feel like celebrating, that’s all. You all have fun, but you can count me out,” you told them, then said goodbye and decided to go back to the Alpine motorhome to be alone for a while.
Halfway there, you suddenly felt someone put an arm around your shoulder, making you come to a halt to see who it was. You were met by Lando’s shining eyes, the mischievous smile telling you he was here to try and convince you to join them. But instead of giving you a speech full of reasons why you should join them, he decided to start with something else, something a lot more personal.
“Look, I can tell something is wrong. What happened? Last year you spent so much time with your family, your friends, and even with us. Now? Now I can see you getting cozy at your place, ignoring everyone until it’s absolutely necessary to be around people. I’m worried,” he added, and the look in his eyes told you he was telling the truth.
“I’m fine, trust me.” But Lando didn’t buy it, he just rolled his eyes and raised an eyebrow, expecting you to finally be honest with him. “My relationships are dying, because apparently, I changed too much since I’ve been here. Why bother?”
Without a proper warning, Lando pulled you into a hug, his chin resting on your shoulder while you relaxed in his arms. It surprised you, but didn’t feel all that bad, to be honest. You’d been craving physical contact for months now, after all. “The party wouldn’t be the same without you. And I was planning to do so much, like getting you to be stuck to me the whole night, dancing together, drinking together, maybe letting me kiss you,” he finished as he pulled back to look at you with a wolfish grin.
To kiss you? That’s what he wanted? It would be a lie if you said you hadn’t thought about this, because there were times when you wished he would do that, but you usually got rid of these thoughts quite fast. It would complicate things, and complication was something you didn’t need in your life now. But God, he was so handsome, and so cute, and so–
Your train of thought was interrupted when you felt his lips on yours, moving slowly to see how you would react, waiting for the opportunity to truly get lost in it. And when you kissed him back, he moved his hand to the back of your head, tangling his fingers into your hair, moaning softly into the kiss. The world around you ceased to exist, and you just enjoyed the moment, completely forgetting that the paddock was full of people who wouldn’t hesitate to take photos of the two of you.
When he finally pulled away to breathe, you gulped and watched him with uncertainty. Was he just playing with you? Or was he serious about this? Oh, why couldn’t he see you as a sister like the rest of the drivers did?
“So, I believe you’re coming to the party,” he spoke up with a smile. “The birthday boy is dying to spend the evening kissing the birthday girl. Maybe even sneaking away to have some fun in private,” he added before giving you a quick kiss again.
“Have some fun in private?”
With a wide grin on his face, Lando leaned closer to whisper the answer in your ear. “I have a special surprise for you. You’ll love it,” he told you in a sultry voice that made you gulp.
Well, it was safe to say he was probably several steps ahead of you in this.

Random Astro Notes Part 3 :
Air Sign Edition
If you are sensitive, then this post/page may not be for you. These are general observations, houses and aspects matter. XOXO.
Which element should I do next? Fire or Earth ?
Tumblr media
Chiron in Aquarius can really take a toll on a persons self esteem and need to fit in with friends/ groups. Many people with this placement sometimes feel overlooked by their peers and yearn for true community
Libra mars & rising has the tendency to compare themselves alot to other people. Pay attention to yourself all you’re doing is making yourself insecure. You’ll never get anything done if you keep making yourself feel inadequate
Jupiter in Gemini is a great placement for a student. They have a thirst for knowledge
Yes Libras can be a little shallow. A lot of them like to keep up with the trends. Sometimes they don’t even care if you’re a good friend or not as long as you match the aesthetic. Remember this the only sign represented by an object.
gemini placements in a chart negatively aspecting planets like neptune & chiron can cause one to have some learning disability/ difficulties.
Venus in Aquarius prioritize friendship and convenience over actual romantic partnerships
Libra men are so charming. They can be really hard to resist.
Aquarius are so good at manifesting what they want. Why? Because aquarius are VERY ENTITLED. They truly believe they deserve & can get everything that they want in this world. Doesn’t matter if they are qualified for it or not ( this is a compliment btw)
Geminis can be selfish. They have the tendency to treat people like toys. Playing with ppl when they feel like it and then dropping them when they are bored. Your relationship with a gemini can sometimes be dependent on how entertaining you are & how much attention you can give them. You’ll think you are building a deep connection w a gemini, whole time you’re just the flavor of the week.
Gemini is Bi-sexuality while Aquarius is the entire LGBTQ+ community as a whole.
Aquarius Mercuries are so smart. I’ve met some who didn’t even attend college or finish HS but are still well versed in education.
Gemini men are here for a good time not a long time babe, enjoy your time
