okay it’s really wild how you can get married and be so in love, like all the whirlwind and stress and confusion is worth it because you are sure this is exactly what being in love feels like, This Is It, This Is The Final Romantic Achievement, and then a month passes and another month passes and another and eventually life settles back down to normal and some weeks are boring and some weeks are stressful and then one day you wake up and some of your hair is stuck under your wife’s shoulder and it’s dark and she’s still asleep and all you can see is a vague outline of her body under the covers and you realize that somehow you are a hundred times more in love now than you were before. that someday in the future you’re going to experience being in love in yet another way you can’t even fathom right now, and then you’ll do it all over again, and again. and it turns out falling in love isn’t an endgame, it’s a constant state of being. just really wild. really cool.

i still can’t believe they used the instrumental to cigarette daydreams for this mission like that was honest to god attempted murder by insomniac. the song, the nostalgia for the kids they were before emily and ben died and harry got sick, the warm autumn colors, the reunion patching together a pivotal part of peter’s life at a time he literally needs it most after getting fired from brooklyn visions. and in the scene before this, peter’s remembering may’s lesson about maintaining balance in his life then boom the return of one of the people who keep him rooted in life outside the mask when it’s so easy to breeze by it. first act of sm2 i love you.

It only concerns me a little bit I haven’t really seen a written introspection on Stampede Knives’ character, specifically him. 98 is 98 and Maximum Knives has enough elitists on his case to cover him, definitely not a fan favourite but people have broken him down.

I’m aware of how disliked he is, Stampede that is, but it really is something. Could I write it, and could I kill an analysis of him? Most likely. I’ve been injecting the character into my veins, breathing him in and out for a year, every incarnation of him.

But I’m so curious to see someone else do it. Curious to see if someone else will do it…Maybe to convince myself I’m not a complete fool, or stuck in delusion. Maybe to find someone else that got it.

Hate and disdain, is something I’ll never protect him from. He’s an asshole. But man, even he doesn’t deserve the shallow reading of him that’s too widely accepted I think.
