Stalker Nagito Komaeda x Milf!Reader
this was requested via my twitter:
“Hey! i’ve seen your works and I’m in love. Can I request smut where a stalker Nagito Komaeda becomes obsessed with a milf reader who moves into the neighborhood who’s like a dom in bed and ya know just large bust and taller than him. Thank youuu🤍”
a/n: ofc. but I have my own idea of a dom which i’ll use involving certain things (heed warnings)
warnings: he is so obviously a virgin in this, degradation, slight masochism, asphyxiation, spit, also Nagito calls the reader mommy (side note: nagito is in his early 20s in this, he lives alone. age of reader isn’t specified BUT I say she’s in her late 20s/early 30s)
• • •
It was a bright day...which Nagito despised. It was summer. He hated the sun, hated the mosquitoes, and the unnecessary humidity. It was days like these he wishes he was back at his university dorm. The A/C, the tall tree covering his window and blocking the sun...it was perfect. Hell, he didn’t even hate classes. Yet, he couldn’t live in the dorms forever. When it came time to buy a home, he stupidly did so in fall, moved in during the winter.
Well, no shit the home seemed perfect then. It wasn’t fucking summer. His A/C decided to break, his windows has a great view of the sun, and most of his friends were out of town (all except Hajime, but Hajime is fucking boring and a bummer). Nagito sat on his couch, watching reruns of old tv shows. He took a sip from his nearby glass (cold water), suddenly hearing sounds of what appeared to be a loading van. He looked outside his window.
A moving van?
Right, that one old man who lived there passed away. Freak accident, by the way. Oh well, may he rest in peace. Meanwhile, Nagito was being himself and trying to see who it was. Pretty much, the dude was being nosy. He saw another car pull up. That must’ve been the family’s car. Out jumped 3 kids, what appeared to be 2 girls and 1 boy. An adult stepped out. Nagito decided he’d get a better look at the situation. He put on his shirt, black jeans, and his green hood.
He was “going for a walk”.
Without being noticed, he made his way to the other side of the street. It was a woman, she was taking boxes out of the truck. The minute Nagito saw her it was if he was stricken by Cupid’s arrow. She was tall and beautiful. Her skin complimented her hair and her legs, he couldn’t take his eyes off them. Her breasts...he needed to stop—
“Hi!”
She was in front of him, a warm and inviting smile on her face. “H-Hi,” he muttered. She didn’t hear him well, so it helped that he waved. “I’m new in the neighborhood. We just moved in,” she added, putting the box down. She stuck her hand out, going for a handshake. He shook her hand, her warm hand against his cold ones. Why are his hands always cold? “I see,” he responded, getting his shit together,“I’m Nagito Komaeda. I live across the street”. She introduced herself and complimented his house.
“What a lovely home. I hope the neighborhood is just as lovely”
“It should be. It’s pretty quiet. There’s not many families here. Say, can I help you pack?”
“You’re too sweet! I’d really appreciate it”
He helped take all the boxes in her home, helping load a couch too, and help with other large objects. They finished in 9 hours, taking a majority of the day. “Thanks for helping out, Nagito”. She made a lemonade, handing him a glass.
“Don’t mention it! Also, thank you”
One of the kids ran in the living room where they sat on the couch. He gasped when he saw Nagito. “Mommy! That man looks dead!!!”. Nagito smiled, but his mom was not amused. “Michael! Apologize..”. The kid kept smiling and said,“Sorry!”. He ran to another room. “I’m so sorry,” she muttered. Nagito shook his head.
“Hey, I’m rather malnourished”
“Ha. On an unrelated topic, are you hungry? I could make us something”
“Oh, I shouldn’t linger any longer. I wouldn’t want to disturb your husband”
She laughed. “I know you mean no harm, but I’m not married,” she added. “Oh,” Nagito muttered,“I’m sorry, I really didn’t mean it in any way”. She shook her head and reassured him it was fine. “Sit, Nagito,” she pulled out a chair,“I’m not letting you refuse having dinner with us. Especially since you were such help”. She rubbed his back before heading back into the kitchen to begin cooking.
She made him a bowl of pasta, adding chicken on the side. Nagito was quite happy. He hadn’t eaten a good meal in so long. Her kids didn’t eat at the table, but on the counter. Meanwhile, she ate with Nagito. Just as Nagito thought he couldn’t grow fonder of her, he did just that. All she did was let him talk about himself.
“Jesus, I’m sorry about your parents? How are you keeping yourself afloat with university and expenses?”
“Academic scholarships”
“Wow, you’re such a smart boy”
The way she phrased it made him flustered. “Thank you for the meal, ma’am,” he muttered,“I haven’t eaten like this in who knows how long”. She smiled tenderly, picking up his empty plate. “Seconds?”. He shook his head.
“No, thank you. I’m already so full”
“I’m glad. You know, there’s always a meal for you in store if you can do me a favor”
“What’s that?”
“My oldest daughter has her final test this week. You think you can help her study? I’ll make you a nice, warm meal every time you come over”
Nagito thought about it. He would also have time around her. Plus, she wasn’t a bad cook. “Of course, I look forward to it,” he told her. “Lovely”. He got up and excused himself to go home. “It was nice having you over, Nagito,” she said softly. He could tell she was getting sleepy. When people are tired, Nagito has noticed that their tone is rather sheepish. She walked him to the door, ruffling his hair playfully and he blushed. “Goodnight, neighbor”.
“Goodnight, you”
Before he left, she stopped him and handed him a paper: (xxx) xxx-xxxx ♡
“Call me when you get home so I have your number saved. Then, I can call you when my daughter, Vanessa, needs help. Take care, okay?”
He nodded.
She closed the door, his thoughts racing on his way home. He picked up some things about her, things she didn’t even tell him. He went home and opened a notebook, writing all of it down. He called her and she answered, her voice as sweet as when he left (only sleepier). “Hello?”. His breath was heavy without realizing it as he spoke. “H-Hey, you told me to call you,” he breathed,“It’s Nagito...Komaeda”
“Oh, hey, angel! I’m not interrupting anything am I?”
“What? No, it’s all good— why’d you think so?”
“You sound like you need to catch your breath, but anyway, thanks for calling me. I’ve saved your number now”
“Oh, great! Well, if that’s all, I’ll let you go to bed now”
“It was. Goodnight, Nagito”
“G-Goodnight”
He hung up, flustered more than ever as he continued to jot down his thoughts on paper. The next day, he woke up at 6am to wait in his car. He knew what he was doing was wrong, but he couldn’t help it. At around 7:41am, his front neighbor and kids headed for their car. Nagito, who had taken a light nap in the driver’s seat, was awoken by the car starting. He waited for the car to drive away just slightly past his house to start his own car, slowly tailing behind her.
He dropped her kids off at the nearby elementary. She got off, kissed them on their forehead (all minus the eldest, who walked swiftly through the gates). Seeing how she cared for them made Nagito feel bad, but all he did was brush that feeling off. Next, he followed her through her daily. As he did, his notes from last night echoed through his mind, adding new detail.
“She works at an office not everyday She doesn’t have allergies but is sensitive to dust Red seems to be her favorite color but always in a darker shade Her daughter is around 10 years old She isn’t vegan but enjoys almond milk Maybe has an issues with abandonment but I can’t assume that either She buys many apples but not the same amount of bananas at the store so maybe she only eats the bananas—”
Just more to add to his notebook.
He got home before she did, writing down what he had learned. His phone rang about an hour later of him getting home. He picked it up,“Hello?”. “Nagito, hi!”. It was her. He started having a mini-panic attack, because why would she be calling him? “H-Hey, how are you?”
“I’m doing alright. I was wondering if you could come over and tutor Vanessa”
Oh, thank god.
“Yes, of course. I’ll be down there right now”
“Great. See you then!”
He was relieved, heading to her home happily. He knocked on the door. When she opened it, she did so with the same warm smile as yesterday. “Thank you for coming over,” she said,“She’s in her room”. Nagito nodded, freezing when she grabbed his hand and took him to the room. Her touch was so soft, noted. They got to the room, where a girl was reading a book on a desk. “Nessa?”. The girl turned around.
“Nagito is going to be here for a few hours to help you out with homework and studying. He’s really smart, so pay attention and be respectful”
“Okay, mom”
She nodded, squeezing Nagito’s shoulder before leaving. Nagito approached the girl, she took her things out. Before he could speak, she stopped him. “Please don’t call me ‘Nessa’,” she whispered,“It’s bad enough my mom does, but not you, Please”.
“Don’t worry. I wasn’t planning on referring to you at all”
“Bastard”
“Nessa”
“I guess I walked right into that one”
Nagito laughed, grabbing a chair and sitting next to her. Her work wasn’t what he expected. Is this what they’re teaching kids now? He could’ve sworn he hadn’t seen this type of stuff until he hit middle school. It wasn’t anything he couldn’t do, but damn. All in all, tutoring went well. Vanessa actually learned something today. “Good job!,” he said. “Thank you,” she smiled and hugged him,“I felt so stupid”.
“Hey, its okay not to understand things”
Her mom walked in. “Dinner’s ready”. Vanessa got up and went to the kitchen. “How’d it go?,” she asked Nagito. “Went well, she gets the math now,” he answered. She smiled, thanking him for his help and asking him to join them for dinner. He’d be foolish not to, so he accepted the invite.
Fish tacos were served tonight with rice and beans, another lemonade made. It was different than anything Nagito had ever had, but that doesn’t equate to bad. He actually enjoyed the meal. The kids sat at the main table today, much more respectful than yesterday. “Michael how was school?”. He put a thumbs up, getting back to eating. “And Adrianna?”. She looked up from her meal and shrugged. “What’s wrong?”.
“I’m tired, but class was okay”
“Oh, okay. When you’re done, just take a quick shower and get to bed”
“Thanks”
Nagito thought it was endearing. Seeing how understanding and loving she was, it was refreshing. The kids all eventually left, Nagito finishing his meal. “Did you like it?”. He looked at her, nodding. “Great! Seconds?”.
“Full again. I don’t usually eat, but your food is always so good”
“Oh, you’re just saying things...”
“No, really! Thank you”
He said his goodbyes to the family, walking back home. It was as if he was falling for this woman more and more everyday. He went to sleep, this time dreaming of her. He never dreams, but this time he dreamt she was on her knees for him. Then, nothing else. It was as if his dream teased him.
The next morning, he woke up to some knocking on the door. He looked at the time. 8:23am. He put on a pair of jeans and his shirt, walking to his door. He opened it and there she stood, wearing a black dress and red heels. He assumed she had work and needed a favor before going. “Good morning,” he said.
“Were you following me yesterday?”
Shit.
“I, uh...,” he didn’t know what to answer. He was indeed following her yesterday. He also liked her, so if he straight up said that he was to following her, it’d ruin things. His face was glowing a shade of pink to a slight red as he thought of the right answer. He was still stumbling over his words. “I think it’s kinda cute,” she added. The fuck? “Huh?”. She pushed him inside the house, closing and locking the door behind him. “When a boy follows someone around, it’s because he wants something,” she added, but her tone was so sultry,“Well, Nagito—”. She pushed him onto the couch, leaning in front of him with her hands on his chest.
“—What do you want?”
None of what was happening felt real. Nagito couldn’t find the words to express what exactly he wanted. This was the first time he’d ever been in a situation like this, it wasn’t a bad one either. He began to panic when she straddled him. “Could it be that you wanted me?,” she asked. He frantically nodded and she laughed as she locked her lips with his. He gasped against her lips, kissing back. She slowly trailed her kisses down to his neck, cupping his jaw while grinding on his lap. Nagito moaned, his shaky hands grabbing her ass. She grabbed his hands and put them away from her. “It’s cute that you’re getting this carried away”.
“I’m sorry”
“No time to apologize. Get on your knees for mommy”
Nagito was about to lose his mind when she said that, but he obeyed. Her presence was domineering as he stood on his knees against his carpeted floor. She spread her legs, noticing Nagito desperately trying to get a look. Her red heel stopped him, stepping on his head lightly. “Am I teasing you?,” she asked,“It’s okay to be honest”.
“Y-You are, but its okay. I want to be teased by you”
“You’re adorable,” she took her heel off his head,“Let’s go to your room”.
He practically ran to his bed. He sat and waited patiently. She entered the room, heading to his bed. She began to take off his shirt, admiring his frame. She then unbuckled his belt and unzipped his jeans. He kicked them off and sat down. She sat next to him. “Give me your hands”. She held them, frowning slightly. “Boo, they’re so cold,” she teased,“I’ll warm them up for you”. Carefully, she grabbed his left hand, putting his middle and ring finger in her mouth. She licked to his fingertips, leaving him tense and speechless. She stopped and smiled at him.
“This is your first time, isn’t it?”
He nodded shyly. “Don’t be shy,” she said,“I’m going to guide you, but I’m also going to have my fun”. He gulped, nodded. She stood up and removed her dress. She wore a lacy black bra and panties. She brought his hands to her breasts, allowing him to fondle them. They were huge in his hands. “You like them, baby?”. “Y-Yes,” he muttered,“Can you, uh, take....the bra off?”. He was ashamed when asking, he felt desperate. She smiled and nodded, unhooking it and allowing the bra to fall to the ground. He gasped at the sight of her tits, grabbing them. She straddled him.
“Do you know what to do with them?”
He nodded, rubbing one and sucking the other. She moaned sweetly, grinding on his lap. He popped his mouth off them. That was when she took the opportunity to knock him onto the bed. She began to make out with him, shoving his tongue down her throat. They lay sideways. Her hand was on his neck, slightly choking him. He couldn’t resist but try to grind on her lap. She laughed. “Look at you,” she mocked,“Humping my leg like a desperate little puppy”. She didn’t let him speak, sitting up and pushing him back down. “I’m going to give you what you want,” she whispered in his ear,“Take your cock out”.
He was nervous as he did, hands shaky. She blushed a bit at his size. “It’s so big,” she said, straddling him,“I’m going to have my way with it”. “Please, do what you want to me,” he begged,“Abuse me, please”. She didn’t speak, sinking down on it. Nagito gasped, she was extremely wet. She began to bring her hips up and land straight down on it, repeatedly. She put her hands around his throat, now being rougher. Nagito gasped for air, grabbing her hands.
That was a mistake.
“Hands down,” she ordered, striking him across the face. “Sorr-”. He was slapped once again. “Only speak when you’re spoken to”. He nodded as his stomach began to cave in. His cock twitched each time she slapped him, making her moan. She leaned forward, capturing his earlobe between her teeth. He winced, his hands tangling in the sheets. He felt as though his entire body was blushing.
“You’re so sensitive there”
She teased him, kissing the skin and nibbling. His hips involuntarily snapped upward, making her whine. “You’re so desperate, baby,” she laughed,“it’s so cute”. He could feel her warmth running along his cock. He bit into his hand, trying to stop himself from cumming inside her. It worked, but she didn’t like him doing that. She grabbed his hands and kissed them.
“Don’t hurt yourself, put them right here”
She placed them on her boobs. He watched them bounce up and down, grabbing them gently. His rather large hands seemed small on her tits. He was extremely flushed. He took them off her and placed them on her hips. “Open your mouth”. He lay back more and did as he was told. She leaned forward, grabbing his jaw again as she spit into it and kissed him. He moaned when she did, his urges getting the best to him and thrusting upward. He hit her cervix every time, causing her to produce the sweetest and sluttiest of moans. Her walls tightened around him and now he was whining. “Are you gonna cum, honeybun?,” she asked.
“Y-Yes..”
“Where do you wanna cum?”
“I wanna cum...everywhere. I want it. I want it so bad. I wanna cum inside and on your tits, on your ass, y-your face..mouth. Please let me cum, mommy”
She motivated him, riding him harder. “Come on, Nagito,” she whispered,“Cum for mommy. Cum all the way inside her”. He lost his mind after that, groaning as he shot his load(s) inside her. He was still inside her as he tried catching his breath. She rubbed his chest, shushing him. “Good boy, you did so well,” she cooed,“Such a good boy.” He was covering his face, embarrassed and still hard. “I wasn’t too rough, was I?,” she asked. He shook his head, thinking,“Not rough enough”. He whined when she got off, revealing he was still erect. She noticed.
“You wanna go again, baby? Kids don’t leave school till 2:30. We have time for an extra fuck”
“C-Can I?”
“Yes, dummy”
She let Nagito choose how to fuck her. He wanted missionary, mostly because he craved intimacy and she did not disappoint. She kissed and praised him, telling him he was good. She held onto him the whole time and cuddled him afterwards. Nagito felt so special, he felt loved. “I can come over when I don’t have work,” she said,“Would you like that?”.
“I’d love that actually”
“You make me happy, Nagito. I could stay here and cuddle all day”
“I feel so lucky”
He yawned, looking at the clock. “Its 10,” he told her. She nuzzled his chest, humming. “Mmmm, let’s take a small nap,” she whispered,“Okay?”. “Okay”. He kissed the top of her head and held her to him, slowly joining her in slumber.

A fan fic of Gojo Satoru inspired by the song Heaven by Julia Michaels 😭 I enjoyed your writings 🥰🥰🥰
The moment you met him was ingrained into your brain, even years after you both parted. It had been raining that day, possibly 7:30pm, and you were held up in a cafe for shelter. You had been dosing off a bit after your classmates left you an hour or so prior. You regretted staying up so late to watch that sit-com the night before. But it was a Friday, and you didn’t have class the next day. The paper was finally finished and you proudly packed your things together. You kept fantasizing about how your efforts during the week were soon to be rewarded by slumber.
The sound of thunder brought you back to reality within the quiet coffee space.
“I guess I should sit back down,” you said to yourself. You were standing by the glass doors and ready to leave, bag over your shoulder. You held your book in one arm before fisting the sleeves of your sweater. The one time I forget my umbrella, you thought.
There was something soothing about watching the busy streets of Tokyo while rain hit the window screen. You felt yourself unwinding, relaxing in place. Sometimes your school and work life felt so hectic. It was nice to slow down from time to time and breathe.
“Man, you don’t have an umbrella? That sucks.” An incredibly tall, white haired male spoke beside you, snapping you out of your zen moment.
You turned your head towards him, and he wasn’t even looking at you. He wore a thick black sweatshirt, black jeans and dark boots. He had thick black shades on, and surely an umbrella in his hands. He had a gorgeous profile, and his jawline was extremely defined. Was he some sort of supermodel, you thought.
“Yeah, I know.” You say, sighing to yourself. You were partially offended, but mostly tired. He was handsome, but you didn’t have time for flirting. You just wanted to go home and run a hot bath. He looked like he was going to break your heart anyways.
“It says the rain is going to stop within the hour on the weather app.” He said, scrolling and tapping away at his phone. “You goin’ to the train station?”
“Oh, yeah.” You say shyly. You nervously tucked some hair behind your ears before looking straight ahead. Why the fuck was this supermodel speaking to you?
Granted, it was hard for you to stop looking at him every so often.
“Like what you see?”
You blinked at him repeatedly, earning a cocky chuckle from him.
“Wanna walk with me?” He asked, peering down at you. You looked at him, pondering if he was seriously trying to hit on you right now. Surely if you had known him, maybe walking to the station with him solely for the use of his umbrella would’ve been fine. You don’t know if it was the sleep deprivation or the fact that he truly did seem a little arrogant that stemmed your next response as you spoke.
“I don’t even know you.” You said bluntly, and you meant it disrespectfully.
“Not yet.” He said slyly. “But I’ve seen you around campus a lot.”
You stood still, pondering again if you had actually seen him before. Wait- wasn’t he in your political science class? You put a finger to your chin before finally igniting the imaginary, anxious little light bulb above your head.
“Professor Edamura’s class right?” You were such a lecture worm in that class, and the professor had yet to start group assignments. You had absolutely no need to befriend anyone in that class yet. Nonetheless, it was your largest lecture class this semester, and you only met once a week.
“Bingo.” He grinned.
“There’s like 120 people in that lecture.”
“Yeah. But I think you’re the cutest.” You stared at him, dumbfounded and blush stuck on your cheeks.
“Thank you,” you say, squeezing your arms around your book and pressing it towards your chest.
“Oh look, the rain is stopping.” He says, leaning forward and intently staring out the window.
“Well, see you Wednesday.” He smiled a cheeky smile.
You felt like a child, blushing foolishly whilst you watched him walk out and down the street.
You almost wish you hadn’t met him.
Days would go by until you saw him again. He made his appearance on Wednesday, at 2pm in Professor Edamura’s class. He sat beside you, offering you a wink before taking out his own computer beside you and your own. Aside from a greeting, he didn’t say a word until the lecture ended. You really had spoken too soon about not befriending anyone, because you had gotten slurped up into a group project with 4 other people.
“So, Friday night, we could all go to my place. I don’t live too far from here.” You wanted to meet at the library instead. Why did he want to go to his house? However, it seemed he was a rather popular guy and everyone loved him. You learned his name was Gojo Satoru. And then you lost the vote 4 to 1.
You couldn’t help but roll your eyes as the women in your group swooned at him as he talked. This sucks.
All of you created a group chat in which you sparked ideas for the project’s format. You honestly think the other girls in your group were just more excited they had his number.
Thursday night came, and you were in your robe and face mask when your phone went off. You blinked repeatedly, realizing Satoru had texted you directly and not the group chat.
Heyy
Hey, Is everything okay?
Yeah, I honestly just can’t wait to see you tomorrow.
You stared at the message, absolutely not having time for his shit. You didn’t respond. Rather, you went in your settings and purposely turned on read receipts and went to bed.
You wished you could’ve left him on read in real life too as you sat on the floor pillow in his living room the next evening. The other three group mates bailed, texting the chat just 20 minutes after you got there.
“Guess it’s just the two of us,” he chuckled.
“Don’t look so happy about it.” You rolled your eyes. This project was 30 percent of your grade, you wanted to punch someone.
“I can’t help it,” he says, sitting across from you on a different floor pillow. “I won’t lie. I had been thinking of asking you on a date. I didn’t think I’d get so lucky.”
“And did you text the other girls in our group the same thing the night before?” You say, nonchalantly opening your book. You didn’t even look his way.
“No, they’re incredibly annoying.” He sighed genuinely. You finally looked at him. They were pretty annoying. Because of them, you were sitting across from him with nothing separating you but an extremely expensive coffee table. The library would’ve been better.
“You’re pretty cool though. Kind of bummed you didn’t text me back.”
“Because I know what you’re up to.” You say, scribbling away in your notes.
“And what might that be?” He takes off his shades, putting them on the glass coffee table. You’d never forget the way he stared at you with his mesmerizing blue shells.
“I’m not going to fall in love with you. I don’t have time for that.” You firmly set your pencil down, looking at him.
“I don’t exactly want you to.” He chuckled. You looked at him before speaking again.
“So what do you want from me?” You say, placing your face in your palm and leaning forward a bit to look at him directly. The intense stare you had was sure to ring out the truth from his lips.
“I said I wanted to take you on a date.” He laughs. “Get to know you a bit, but ultimately take you to bed at the end of the night, if you don’t mind. You can decline, I just wanted to show you a good time.”
He just blatantly asked you to sleep with him. Somehow, you admired that. You hated people that wasted your time. At least this way, you felt like you had some power in the situation. You could decline him or not, and you knew exactly what would become of your situation-ship if you started something.
“Sure,” you say calmly, to his surprise. You shift yourself around the table, right beside his body.
“Seriously?”
“Seriously,” you took hold of his jaw, delicately planting a kiss. He had no idea you were so confident. He only had a girl initiate the kiss once before. Your lips were incredibly soft and pillowy. He was already hard, wondering just what your sex was like if you kissed him like this. The semester’s stress had gotten to you. You were only hoping he could help you unwind.
You shifted over his body, straddling him against the bottom of the sofa. You’d give him exactly what he wanted.
“You better be good at this, or don’t even bother looking at me after we finish this project.” You break from his lips.
“Oh princess, I don’t ever disappoint.” He smirked. You were alarmed at his strength when he lifted both your bodies off the ground. He sucked in your lips, kissing you firmly as he brought you to his bedroom.
That night, he gave you the best sex of your entire life. He wasn’t lying about not disappointing you.
You remember the day you guys finally had to present your project, which didn’t come out too bad. Satoru had seduced the girls who didn’t show up on Friday into doing majority of the work. You remember him telling you that they deserved it after you attempted to nag him for messing with them like that.
“You and me worked hard last Friday night, right princess? So what’s the big deal?” He whispered into your ear while you all gathered in front of the lecture. You presented your part that you did on your own with constant red hues plaguing your face. You wish he waited to say that after the presentation. Now, you were worked up again. The events of skin touching skin had been stuck in your mind.
You couldn’t get his extremely large hands and hot body out of your head. For something that was supposed to be a stress reliever, the thought of his sex lived on within you and it was getting annoying. He caught up with you after you rushed out the room as soon as class ended.
“You have time before your next class?” He peered down at you, grinning a sexy and devilish smile.
“Why?” You ask.
“Let’s go grab a bite to eat, on me. I promise really do work harder than I like to show off. The thing I did for the project isn’t really my character. I just didn’t like how the other girls were going to push all the work on you.”
He sounded genuinely sorry for the situation.
“It’s fine. They deserved it anyway. They never replied to me when I texted them. If it wasn’t for you using your ‘sexiness’ to make them get busy, we would’ve gotten a shitty grade for sure.” You used air quotes around the word ‘sexiness’.
“You think I’m sexy?” He said smugly.
“Of course that’s all you picked up from the entirety of what I said.” You rolled your eyes, and he laughed a hearty laugh.
“Obviously,” you say quietly, he almost didn’t hear you.
“You’re so fucking cute,” he said, laughter dying down. You had this annoyed blush on your face as the both of you walked. You did end up going out to eat with him. But somehow, you also ended up fucking him in the restaurant bathroom right after.
His hands squeezed your hips as you pressed you ass closer against him. You never realized you could feel so full. He slammed his length into you, while you shamelessly watched yourself pant beneath him in front of the mirror.
“You’re such a pretty girl, look how pretty you are. I wanna see your face again when you cum.” He coaxed you whilst gripping your neck.
“Don’t be so loud though, then we’ll get caught. You don’t want this to end do you?”
Your juices were running down your weak legs, and you were holding back pleasure filled squeals while he rammed himself into you. It had been a while since you had been fucked so well aside from last Friday. And something about the thrill of someone knocking on the door, which wasn’t even locked, helped you find your climax during that 10 minute session.
You called out his name as you clenched around his length, causing him to throw his hand over your hot mouth.
“Shhh,” he shushed you as he lifted your body towards his own.
“We won’t be able to do stuff like this in the future if you’re so loud.” His hot breath poured into your ear. Your knees were burning, but the pleasure in your core was enough to over shadow it. You were ashamed to admit it, but you were cumming again onto his dick.
“Satoru, my legs...” you muffled against his hand.
“I’ve got you sweetheart, don’t worry.” His thrusts were quickening and you felt him twitch inside you. He released himself into the rubber he wore before removing his member from you. You collapsed your upper body onto the sink for support.
He was incredibly sweet somehow, sliding your jeans and panties up for you.
“Can you walk?” He asked.
“I can manage.” You say, stumbling back against his chest. He caught you whilst you buttoned your jeans.
“The look on your face is priceless.” He said, looking at you in the mirror. You were a disheveled blushing mess, but somehow you were scowling at him for making you cum in such a short time.
“You can hold my arm for support,” he watched as you fixed what you could of your top and hair.
“Shut up.” You said, wrapping yourself onto his arm and exiting the bathroom.
Sex with him was filled with plentiful moments like this. He would spontaneously show up around you, asking to hang out. It helped out a lot, considering you were less stressed and chirpier, your friends noticed. A little bit of dick does everyone good sometimes.
You did your best to keep it strictly sex related, and you felt like he was casually following whatever you wanted to do. He was a decent friend, listening to your qualms about school and your other friendships. He took in a lot of stories and life situations from you, but he rarely ever talked about himself. You had slept with him countless times by then, but you really knew nothing about him. The thing that made it worse is that he started to sex you more passionately, stirring your feelings in a bunch.
He towered above your body in the dark moonlit room. It was another Friday, and you were lost in his sex yet again. He was so close, kissing and sucking your lips til they were sore and bruised. He dragged his mouth against your neck and down to your chest. You didn’t know what had gotten into him, but he was keen to keep the space between you as close as possible. You hadn’t see him all week, and you both didn’t have any classes together this season. The spontaneous adventures became more planned due to your busy schedules.
He inserted himself into your warmth, making you arch your back and press your breasts to his chest.
“Fuck, I missed you.”
Your entire head was hot from the whisper he made into your ear. You wished he wouldn’t say things like that. It was starting to fuck with you. You let out a moan as he filled you up completely, grinding your sex towards him from underneath.
“It looks like you missed me too,” he chuckled. Your sex was loud and wet. You couldn’t lie to him even if you tried— your body wouldn’t let you.
You found yourself moaning how much you missed him as he rolled into you endlessly throughout the evening.
“I know baby,” he placed sweet kisses against your face and neck, “I know.”
You chose to block this specific memory out whenever you told your friends this story. He had sexed you like he loved you that night and you had too many orgasms to count.
You awoke in the morning with him clinging to your naked body. It really wasn’t the first time something romantic like this had happened but it was the first time you felt provoked to say something.
“Satoru...” You said against his hair. He grumbled a groggy hum into your neck. You didn’t know if this was the right time to say it, but you were tired of the subtle hints of affection he had been mixing in with all the lust.
“It’s getting hard for me to keep this relationship strictly sex based,” you begin.
“I really do want to get to know you more. But sometimes you throw me these mixed signals and I get confused.”
He sat up, bringing his blue gaze towards yours.
“Then we should stop.” He said bluntly. He wasn’t asking you either.
“We should,” you sort of agree, confusedly.
“I had a feeling this was going to happen.” He said, tearing himself from you.
“But it’s cool. I’ve got somewhere to be. You need a ride home?” He asked. You nodded. That morning for the first time in a long time, you both got dressed together in solitude. There was no banter, no joking around and none of the occasional compliment or kiss.
He drove you home, in comfortable silence on his part. When you both of reached in front of your house he finally spoke.
“Don’t look so down, honey. At the end of the day, you were just a warm body to me. Cheer up though, you served your purpose.”
You could’ve cried but you knew exactly what this was from the beginning. Was it possible he was starting to feel something? And this was his way of running from it? You stared at your lap. There was no point of trying to read too hard into it now.
“Thanks for the ride.” You say, shutting the door. He watched you walk into your house. He hadn’t known you were so sensitive considering the persona you’d been giving him since the very beginning. He would never be able to apologize to you for it either— he had too much pride.
He never texted or called you after that. Not that you were surprised, you knew he wasn’t the one for you. He was too secretive despite his outgoing nature. An experience it was, you thought it was fun. You did your best to look at the situation as optimistically as possible.
Whenever you saw him on campus, you didn’t even bother looking at him. You walked right by him. He knew better than to speak to you. One day you were sitting in the cafe you first met him in. It was raining just like it was last year. You knew he saw you scribbling away through the glass window. He entered anyway, with a brunette attached to his arm. She laughed loudly as she pressed her breasts to his bicep. You casually sipped your iced coffee, eying him briefly before returning to your work.
He was pretty ballsy.
“You okay babe?” Suguru slid his large hand over yours, breaking you out of your thoughts.
You hummed in delight, watching him take hold of your hand and press your knuckles to his lips.
“When you’re done, how about we go to that Hibachi place you like?”
You held back an excited squeal at the dark haired male in front of you.
“I’d like that a lot.”

Goodnight (Shinsou x F!reader)
Warnings- somnophilia, non-con, penetration, loss of virginity, yandere tendencies, praise, creampie
Word count- 2360

You were so nice to him. You smelled so good. You smiled so brightly, looked so pretty, so genuine. These things about you were what started his obsession. Watching you and keeping tabs on you became a hobby, then a need.
He found his brain constantly occupied with thoughts of you, your small habits, things you said to him, things he wished you said to him. Everything about you was perfect. You were the object of his affection, his darling.
But you didn’t know any of this, you were clueless to Shinsou’s infatuation with you. To you he was just a friend, an awfully clingy friend but in an endearing way. He had been this way since year one and you two were now close to the end of year three. You two weren’t in the same class like last year, but Shinsou made every effort to see you whenever he was free. Walking you to class, sitting next to you during lunch, walking you to the dorms and asking to hang out on the weekend.
You kind of guessed that he liked you, you had thought so for years but you didn’t say anything in case you were wrong. You weren’t against the thought of dating him, he was insanely handsome, his lavender fluffy hair framing his sharp jaw perfectly. His dark circles perfectly balanced his lazy smirk. To top that off he was kind and he always treated you with respect even if he got in your space a lot. You just assumed he was touchy, thought nothing of it.
One day when he was walking you to the dorms he kept brushing his hand against yours. You didn’t bother moving, you were tired and his presence was comforting.
“You need help studying right?” He asks, looking deep into your eyes as if it was the last time. This was an interesting thing about Shinsou. He always lingered, even when he wasn’t with you, you never felt like he left.
“Yeah I do, I’m struggling a little bit in English and History. Do you wanna study with me?” His face lit up at your offer, nodding eagerly. He started in the direction of the 3C building, excited to have you in his room. How would you act around him in private? Would you like his room? He needed to record your every action and memorize it. You stopped walking and Shinsou turned around, tiring his head to the side to convey his confusion. He wanted you in his room already, why were you slowing him down?
“Hold on, I’m sorry” you mumbled. You shuffled through your school bag looking for something. Shinsou couldn’t help but peek over your shoulder, he had never seen the inside of your bag before. His eyes darted between the contents of your bag and your newly exposed skin, your skirt drifted up your leg where you knelt on the sidewalk. You looked back up at him, an embarrassed smile gracing your face.
“I left my books at the dorms, can we study in my room instead?” You asked meekly. Shinsou’s face flushed all shades of red. He had already been in love with the thought you in his room, but him in yours? Enchanting. He smiled and nodded.
With his approval the two of you headed towards your dorm. You walked through the common room, nodding at your classmates and getting in the elevator. Your room was on the third floor, twelve meters down the hallway on the right. Shinsou engraved this path into his brain, he would have to come back. You unlocked your door, walking in and closing in behind the purple-haired boy.
He glanced around the room, taking in as much as he could before his gaze was drawn back to you, opening the balcony doors to let in the soft spring breeze. The wind fluttered your skirt and blew your hair. You looked like a goddess. Shinsou wished he could take a picture of you, he wanted to remember this moment forever.
You sat down at your desk, pulling a chair up for Shinsou to sit in. You got out your books, flipping it open and getting to work. After a few minutes you laughed and looked over to Shinsou,
“Are you ever going to come sit?” You giggled. Shinsou smiled apologetically, pulling his chair out and making sure to scoot close to you. The hours flew by, you studying and Shinsou watching.
He had his book open and he answered all of your questions, teaching you what you didn’t understand. He just couldn’t focus on his own studies, not like this. Not when you were sitting next to him, looking like that.
The clock hit 6:30 and the dinner bell rang. You closed your books, thanking Shinsou for his help. You walked him out of the building before heading back in for dinner. Thoughts of you ran through his head as he walked back to his own room, he would definitely be returning to your room later. Now that he had a taste, he wouldn’t let it go.
He had been watching the clock for hours. He ate dinner in his room and barely did any of his homework. Thoughts of you flooded his consciousness and it took everything he had not to go right back to your dorm. No he had to wait until everyone was asleep.
When the clock struck 2am he silently slipped out of his room. He wasn’t careful walking down the hall, his foot steps were never heard. He took the stairs instead of the elevator, heading down swiftly. When he got outside it was pitch black. There were no street lamps on at Heights Alliance at three in the morning. It didn’t matter to him though. Shinsou had memorized the path from his room to yours the moment you took his hand and dragged him there.
Despite how flustered he seemed at the moment he was taking everything in. The cracks in the concrete, how certain movements squeaked the door, where your room was in relativness to your classmates and of course, the feeling of your soft hand against his.
He slides the dorm door open noiselessly. Rapidly, he walks to the stairway, taking two at a time. The slow climb to the third floor went by in seconds. He had been waiting years for this moment.
He glides down the hall, eager and giddy. Stopping at your down he gets down on his knees and starts to work on the lock.
Two minutes later and he has it pop open. Slinking inside and closing the door softly behind him, he walks over to your bed. He takes a moment to look around the room again and breath in your scent. You’re his safe haven and he can’t imagine being happier than he is now.
He puts his large hands on your shoulders, lightly shaking you awake.
“Hey kitten, can you hear me?”
“Hmm? Shinsou?” you mumble, still half asleep.
Your response was enough to for him to get ahold of you. Now that you were under the power of his quirk there was no way he would let you go. At least not anytime soon.
“I want you to stay still for me okay? I’ll do everything, I’ll make you feel so good baby I promise” His words are sincere but they make you shiver with fear. This wasn’t this Shinsou you knew.
With you frozen in place for him, he turns you over so you’re facing up and pulls down the covers. He flicks on the lamp on your bedside table, taking a moment to appreciate the way you look in the soft light.
You can’t move and you’re stuck in a post-sleep daze, barely aware of what’s going on. Your soft lips are slightly parted and cheeks pink from the warmth of your bed. You look so inviting.
Shinsou leans down and places a gentle kiss on your lips, savoring the sweet taste. It was everything he imagined and more.
“My god you taste amazing, mind if I taste something else?”
He snickers at the panic in your eyes. You try to scream ‘no this isn’t how I want this to happen’ but no words leave your mouth. It doesn’t even open at your will.
He plays with the straps of your tank top, tugging and pulling them. He glides them down your arms, bring the whole shirt with it. He tosses the shirt to the side, out of view. His hands run over your chest, worshipping the skin you live in.
“You’re so gorgeous you know that? Such a pretty girl.” He breathes the words onto your skin.
His calloused fingers trace your breasts, thumbing your sensitive buds. The way they perk and pebble at his touch gets him going.
“You like that? I can do more of that” He latches his mouth onto your nipple, pinching and pulling the other one. His tongue glides across the delicate skin beneath him.
His mouth detaches with a lewd pop, switching to the other side to give you a matching mark. As he removes his face from your chest, he plants kisses across your collarbone and travels down your stomach. When his tender touches reach your lower stomach, your hips thrust forward against your will.
He chuckles darkly at your reaction.
“Patience kitten, you don’t know how long I’ve been waiting for this. Let’s take our time, yeah?” he soothes his words into your skin. Despite his actions they calm you.
He pulls your loose shorts below your hips and down your thighs, taking a moment to trace the soft skin. He settles himself between your plush legs, facing your core.
Tracing the elastic of your panties, he licks a large stripe up your clothed cunt. A shiver runs through your entire body, hips jumping towards his face when he pulls away to watch your face.
He grins wildly “I knew you wanted me too, I knew it.”
He takes your panties off before you realize what he’s doing, burying his head in your sex. He inhaled deeply, somehow managing to creep you out more than you already are.
He eats you out like a starved man, his previously gentle touches greedy and hungry. Slurping you up, swallowing you. He latches his mouth out your clit, giving kitten licks where your body wants him most.
He slips in two slender fingers with ease. Scissoring and twisting them to open you wider. He rotates his digits, pumping them in and out, looking for your special spot. One move he makes has you clamping around him, body jolting.
A sinister smile covers his face. “Here? I can do it here” He curls them deeply into you, continuing his attack. You thrash around, your stomach tightly wound with pleasure. He sucks a little harder on your clit and that’s all it takes for you to unravel beneath him. He guides you through it, letting you down gently.
He retracts his fingers and face from your glistening cunt. He slides his fingers into your open lips, forcing them down your throat. You choke on his digits, tasting your slick on his skin.
“Yeah, you sound so pretty. I wish you could moan but if I let you go even a little bit you might manage to get out of my hold. You have always been a strong woman, it’s why I love you. But alas we can’t have you escaping from me now, we’re having so much fun and I haven’t gotten my turn yet.”
He slides his swears and boxers down his legs in one swift motion, causing his heavy cock to slap against his stomach. The tip was a deep reddish purple from waiting, pre-cum dripping from the it. It was pretty, a few prominent veins running across the bottom, average girth and impressive length.
Looking at it made your mouth water. It also made you wish you had time to develop a relationship with him on your own, made you wish it didn’t have to happen this way.
He doesn’t hesitate to run it through your folds, mixing your excitement with his. He pushes into your tight hole slowly, cherishing the way that you grip him tightly, sucking him into you.
“Oh god is this your first time? You’re so tight for me, just for me” He groans. You would nod if possible. It was your first time. The stretch was painful.
Shinsou didn’t wait long for you to adjust, after a few seconds he couldn’t take it. He wrapped your thighs around his waist and started pounding into you. The way his head kissed your cervix, the bumps and ridges hitting all the right places.
He just started and you could already feel yourself close to your second orgasm. Thankfully he was too. Going quicker, he rammed you into the mattress, moving his thumb to your clit. He rubs hard, almost too hard. You clench around him tightly, releasing with him.
He spills into you, painting your walls and fucking you through it. He groans and his voice cracks.
“Oh fuck, good girl good girl good girl good girl. Yeah you’re so fucking good for me” he rambles his words into your ear, sucking on your jaw as he slows down and pulls out. He grabs his phone and starts snapping photos, your fucked out face, his hands on your breast, the hickeys and marks trailing your body, and last but not least, his pale fingers pushing his cum back inside of you as it threatens to spill out.
Content with his job, he pulls his pants back up, and tucks you back into bed. He switches off the lamp, kissing your forehead.
“Let’s keep this a secret yeah? At least until you’re ready to accept my feelings.”
Picking your panties off of the floor and sliding them into his pocket he exits the room just as quietly as he entered. Even when his quirk deactivates, you lay there silently, the remains of his presence leaking down your thigh again. You feel so used. And yet somehow, so loved.

[ the same eyes as you ]
prequel to ‘it’s good to be home’ (read here)
pairing: tsukishima kei x f!reader
word count: 1.5k words
contains: slight angst, tsukishima is a FATHER
anon: henlo can you do one with tsukishima where he breaks up with reader and the reader just found out she's pregnant with his child, and then time skips he saw the reader with a child and he's like shookt and you can do whatever you want after that shhsahagag that's all i got. Sorryy if that's too weird.
a/n: omg YES PREGNANT!READER BUT MAKE IT ANGST !! i’ve been so excited to write this one and ngl it’s a bit short but i hope you like it !!
months ago, you would have never thought you’d be hiding a positive pregnancy test from tsukishima. in fact, he would be the first person you would show it to. in your mind, you could still see the way his eyes would light up despite the nervous quiver of his mouth at finding he was going to be a father.
but after the fight you two just had, after hearing tsukishima say the words that put a period on your relationship, you kept the information firmly to yourself. you didn’t care if the child in your belly was also tsukishima’s. he said he no longer wanted you in his life and so, you were going to walk out of it.
maybe months ago, you thought he would make a good father.
“so, are you going to have the baby?” your friend asked. you decided to move into her place after leaving the apartment you and tsukishima once shared. you bit your lip, placing a hand over your belly, trying to imagine another beating heart inside of you.
as much as you wanted to, you still couldn’t bring yourself to completely hate tsukishima kei. you wished things to go back to the way they were, that you would open your eyes in the morning and find his arm wrapped around you again or hear him mumbling an apology in your ear and a ‘don’t go’ that you were more than happy to oblige to.
you couldn’t bring yourself to let go of this baby and you were willing enough to raise them, even if tsukishima was no longer in the picture.
...
tsukishima would rather die than admit that he quite liked it when he had to tour for school field trips. of course, he hated it when kids were rowdy but he found that they weren’t as annoying as adults said they would be. most of the time, tsukishima found that they were interested enough about the museum exhibits to be silent and pay attention.
and most of all, tsukishima loved the funny questions that they would ask. his favorite one from the tour he just did earlier was when this young girl asked if it was possible that dinosaurs were furry or had hair since the fossils didn’t exactly said that they wouldn’t.
‘you sure are going places,’ tsukishima laughed to himself, shaking his head as he left the floor for another tour guide to take over with a fossil-digging activity. tsukishima suddenly remembered that at one point, he did consider having kids.
except, the person he wanted to start a family with was long gone.
tsukishima was still filled with regret for saying those things to you years ago. after you left, the realization that the apartment, that was now technically his, was too empty. the bathroom didn’t have its usual amount of your skincare and hair products. the kitchen cupboards didn’t have your favorite cereal and tea. and the bed. it didn’t smell like you anymore. tsukishima actually stopped sleeping there for a week because it felt so wrong
he had half a mind to call you up and ask you back but you also changed your contact info, much to his surprise. and when he finally did get ahold of your number, tsukishima couldn’t press ‘call.’
after everything he said to you, would you really want to come back?
tsukishima did try to move on, tried to open himself up more to new relationships and meeting new people. but in the end, things never quite worked out. and tsukishima would always know that you were the one that got away.
‘no point in dwelling in the past,’ tsukishima reminded himself as he entered the museum cafe to get some lunch, which was funny because that’s exactly when the past caught up to him.
right when he sat at his table was when you sat at yours and when you looked up across the two tables between the two of you, your eyes landed on your ex-boyfriend.
“tsukishima kei,” you involuntarily said aloud.
“y/n,” you heard him say in reply. his eyes widened as he took in the sight of you. the fact that you were older was a given, but he couldn’t deny that you looked well. especially since the last time he saw you was when you were leaving his apartment.
“well,” you felt a wry smile tug at your lips. “look at you.”
you couldn’t put a pin exactly on how you were feeling. maybe years ago you would have turned away at the sight of him. but you had raised a whole child by yourself without his help. at this point, there wasn’t anything you were afraid of facing head.
“yeah,” tsukishima swallowed. “how have you been?”
you had a feeling that tsukishima was drifting in and out of his comfort zone at this point so you knew you had to take some control. and with that, you decided to sit at his table.
“quite alright, actually,” you smiled. “got a job and a house and all that fun adult stuff,” you chuckled. with a pang, tsukishima realized you were playing on an inside joke between you two. he remembered that day you two went shopping for apartment furniture, laughing at the fact that you two were now ‘finally becoming adults because we bought a dishrack now’.
“ah, same here,” tsukishima nodded.
“you work here?” you asked, gesturing vaguely at the museum.
“yeah, curating and doing tours,” tsukishima said. he knew very well that he wasn’t being conversational but that’s because he wouldn’t be able to control himself. years ago, you left because he hurt you and he wanted you back for so long. and now, you were right here in front of him.
and then, you decided to finally drop the bomb.
"when i left, i was pregnant,” you said. tsukishima felt his world go cold as he stared at you in disbelief.
“did you...?”
“i kept it, her, actually,” you laughed before falling silent and looking softly at your child’s father. “...she has your eyes.”
as if on cue, a young girl ran into the cafe and into your arms. “mommy!” she exclaimed. tsukishima watched with wide eyes, recognizing the little girl as the one who asked the funny question about dinosaurs earlier during the tour. aside from his eyes, tsukishima could see that her hair was just a darker shade of blonde than his. but her smile, that was yours.
“hey, honey. how was the tour?” you smiled, fixing the ribbon on her hair that had come loose.
“it was great! there was this really big triceratops skeleton that was even bigger than you and then we had a fossil digging activity and i dug up a lot of them!” your daughter continued to chatter. over her head, you had a clear view of the look on tsukishima’s face. his mouth hung slightly open and other than the rise and fall of his shoulders, you couldn’t tell if he was breathing. his eyes looked close to watering.
“oh, it’s mr. tour guide man!” your daughter grinned, turning around to face tsukishima who looked like a deer in the headlights now. “mommy, do you know him?”
“he’s... an old friend,” you said, patting your daughter’s hair. “now, why don’t you run along first? mommy’s only going to talk for a few minutes,” you smiled.
“grown-up talk?” your daughter wrinkled her nose.
“yes, grown-up talk,” you chuckled. your daughter hopped off your lap, waved a little goodbye at the man she didn’t know was her father, and ran off.
“i... i have a daughter?” tsukishima whispered, watching her leave. “why didn’t you tell me?”
“i don’t think it would have fixed anything, between us, i mean,” you sighed.
“but, i could have at least known,” tsukishima said. “i... all this time...” he sighed and hung his head, finally opening about what he wanted to say.
“i wanted to reach out to you, to get you back.”
“why didn’t you?” you asked. “all this time, i thought you wanted nothing to do with me.”
“i guess we’re even,” tsukishima chuckled mirthlessly. “but, i hurt you more. you had to raise her by yourself, didn’t you?”
“pretty much,” you pursed your lips, remembering those first few months when you definitely needed someone around.
tsukishima swallowed. he had no right to ask for this, not after everything he’s done or rather, failed to do. but he wanted to at least let you know that he wanted this. “can i be there, for the rest of her life? for the rest of your life?”
“not going to lie, i’ve been having a hard time letting people in after we broke up,” you said. “but... i have missed you, tsukishima kei.”
it felt as if a huge weight was lifted off tsukishima’s chest. he didn’t deserve this second chance, but now that he had that, he wasn’t going to let that go.
“we could start small,” he offered. “i could come see you guys once a week if you like.”
“that sounds good,” you nodded. “she’s a lot like you, you know? one hell of a smart mouth,” you chuckled.
“i better brace myself then,” tsukishima laughed, genuinely now. “what’s her name?”
“hikari,” you smiled.
“hikari,” tsukishima nodded, looking out the window of the cafe and watching hikari, his daughter, laughing with her friends in the museum lobby. “she has your smile, y/n.”

𝑰 𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒕 (Jacob Frye x reader) 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒆𝒓 1
Hello, my lovely assassins, I've been away from writing for a while but I'm back! And I bring you a story of our beloved assassin Jacob Frye X F!reader, I don't know yet how many chapters this story will have but I hope you like it and have fun with it, I just want to remind you that I am open to requests if you want to send me a message!
𝑾𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔: Some fluff and Near Rape
𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒔: 3306

You just got off the plane, you look around you, a feeling of excitement and euphoria fills your chest in a comfortable warmth, your gaze fixed on the incredible sight you had, you are amazed, it was your first time in London, and since you were a little girl you wanted to visit that wonderful city, You listened to the bedtime stories your grandmother told you, about the city, about what happened before it became as free a city as it is now, since you were 5 years old you have tried countless times to convince her to come with you to London, it was just you two against the world, she raised you in place of your parents, since they never cared much for you and your well being, and now you had just turned 18, and on this school trip you finally have the chance to make your greatest wish come true, you were so excited that it was hard to breathe, until you felt a hand lightly resting on your shoulder, it was your best friend F/n, she was looking at you with a huge smile, she knew how much you had asked your nanny to allow you to make this trip, In fact, you smiled as you remembered the conversation you had with her:
𝑭𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒉 𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌
"Ahm nanny, can I talk to you? "You said leaning against the frame of the glass door of the living room, the atmosphere around you, was nostalgic, you loved the rain and the cold, your grandmother was sitting in a small brown armchair, old with time, in front of the big fireplace, the glass roof that both of you had built some summers ago allowed you to see the rain falling, even during the night, it was really calming, in her fragile hands was a book, you knew that book well "Ah that book ...." You approached slowly, and like a child you sat on the carpet looking at your grandmother with a gentle but mysterious smile.
"I know that look my dear, do you want to tell me something?" she asked already knowing what your look meant, you sighed through your nose and gave her permission for the trip "Y/n...." she said with a sweet smile, but before she could say something disapproving, you interrupted by putting both your hands on her lap on top of the book.
"Nanny you have told me so many stories about that city, why don't you let me explore, I.... I have saved enough money to be able to afford the trip, besides F/n will be there with me, can I go? I promise to draw everything I see, to show you nanny, but I want to find out who I am, so far I don't know where I belong..." you said sadly, it was true, you had a family legacy that tormented you for nights on end, your grandmother said it was a brotherhood that helped people but in your view they stole people's lives, to protect? It wasn't right, and you never accepted it, and preferred to believe it was just another bedtime story made up by your grandmother to make you a stronger person.
"Y/n... I wouldn't deny it dear, I encourage you to go, I'm too old to keep you here, besides it's only a month, what could go wrong? I just want you to be careful, and not to be fooled by anyone, and take this" she got up from the chair and walked to a wooden box hidden in the shelf, from there she took out a necklace, made with a coin? "This necklace belonged to a very important person, one that you know and that will make you know a better world and discover who you finally are" she gave you the necklace with a smile and let you enjoy it on your fingers.
"Who did it belong to?" you asked, curious about the small necklace that had been handed to you.
"Jacob Frye. That necklace belonged to Jacob" She said would be, but confident, you laughed a little, she looked at you confused.
"Nanny, you know I don't believe in bedtime stories anymore, Jacob Frye and Evie Frye are just characters in your stories, that you told me to put me to sleep, but they didn't exist but thank you for giving it to me, I will wear it proudly, even if it didn't belong to Jacob, it belonged to you and that's worth a lot, and Thank you for letting me go, I'll be eternally grateful," You said kissing her hand and smiling at her "Well now, how about I make you some tea and you read me some of your book of tales, remind me who was who?" she laughed and nodded, watching you disappear into the darkness that surrounded you.
𝑬𝒏𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝒇𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒉𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌
"So excited huh?" she smiled and put her arm over your shoulder, as you laughed a little, it was a strange but warm feeling that you were in a place you had dreamed of so much.
"Of course, I am, you've seen the atmosphere! Can you imagine the adventures we'll have in a month here? I'm so excited I can feel my body energetic, I want to know, I want to visit, being here is just a demonstration that my journey to find out who I am, is going to go well!" you said excitedly as you picked up your bag and moved it to your classmates.
"I like seeing you like this, ever since you found out you were coming here, you've talked about nothing else" she laughed, you smiled shyly, grabbing the necklace your grandmother had given you before you left
"Where does that necklace come from anyway? Did your grandmother explain it to you?" F/n asked as she sat in front of you waiting for the teachers and the rest of the class to arrive.
"Well, she told me it would be useful to me in my future, I didn't quite understand, she said it belonged to one of the Frye twins, the ones she tells in the bedtime stories when we were little" you explained watching and twirling the pendant chained around your neck.
F/n smiled and thought for a moment before speaking, she seemed amused in her own thoughts, it was funny to see her like that you thought to yourself as you heard the teachers calling you to go to the bus.
"Do you think it could be true?" She asked getting up, and following the others, you stopped for a small moment, looked at the necklace, and smiled, Nah... it couldn't be true, could it? Since you were little you knew the story of the Frye brothers, their fight to save London from corruption, their adventures, your nanny loved to tell you those stories when you were younger, when she left the room you stayed awake for hours looking at the stars in the sky, closing your eyes and trying to feel the emotion they had, they were your heroes, you always admired them, but they were just bedtime stories, right? it couldn't be true, maybe your grandmother just said that to remind you of old times? You shake your head and go on your way.
*Time skip*
When you arrived at the hotel you were informed that you were going to make a night tour of the streets of London, you couldn't be more excited, you looked at F/n and she noticed your look immediately.
"I know that look," she said a bit teasingly "tell me what do you want to go and see?" you grabbed her hand and stormed out of the room "ahm calm down young lady, you are going to rip my arm off" you laughed a bit as you got into the elevator.
"You know I'd like to go see Big Ben at night and walk around there, what do you think? we could have dinner nearby, I want to draw the streets at night, to show my grandmother" you answered, going through the small backpack you had, confirming that you had everything there, pencils... sketchbook... wallet... watercolors... phone... you got scared when you heard F/n calling you, you were too lost in your thoughts.
"Hello? land call Y/n I've been calling you for 5 minutes" she looked at you with an amused smile on her face, you looked forward and finally noticed that you had arrived embarrassed, you looked to the side and smiled trying to disguise it "Come on let's go I'm hungry" she pulled you out of the hotel while signaling for a taxi.
As you walked through the streets of London, you imagined what it must have been like in 1850, you were always connected to history and literature, you loved to draw and your grandmother always fascinated you with her stories and her adventures here in London, it was here that she had met your grandfather, would the future also await you with unexpected adventures and romances?
*A few hours later
You were in a cafe near the big ban drawing the environment around you, in a way it seemed magical, it seemed that it wasn't real, you sighed happily while you put back the watercolors and your notebook in your bag, you looked at F/n and a group of friends that were with you.
"I'm going to the bathroom, I'll be right back!" you said, getting up and picking up your backpack, heading for the cafe's bathroom.
"Okay, try not to take too long, we'll be going to the hotel soon" F/n warned you as you walked away.
The bathroom was very rustic, it looked like it was from 1880, that was an interesting thing, when you finished doing what you had to do, you went to the small sink and looked at yourself in the mirror, your hair was tied up in a clumsy bun, and your eyes were more sparkling than usual, a small shade of pink adorned your face, you felt free, inspired, you were ready to have this adventure.
you made a little shell with your hand and took some water on your face to refresh it, when you looked in the mirror you saw a shadow behind you and the light had failed for a few seconds, suddenly you looked back afraid, but... there was no one there, could you have imagined it? Were you so tired that you imagined someone behind you? You took a deep breath, picked up your backpack and headed back to your friends' side, but something unexpected happened, when you left the cafe the atmosphere had changed, it didn't even look like the same cafe you had visited, the people were dressed in an old way, they spoke old English, what had happened? You felt fear invading your mind a little, still quite confused, you approached the bartender in an attempt to get an answer, but he seemed a little surprised to see you, he looked at you from top to bottom, with a disapproving look.
"ahm sorry, but what happened to the cafe? And did you happen to see a group of students on the outside terrace, do you know where they went?" He looked perplexed by what you had said.
"I'm sorry miss but, who are you? and what are those clothes you are wearing? And the student girl? I don't know where you come from but I don't want prostitutes or liars in my pub, if you can get out of here, I would appreciate it" you looked at him outraged, what does he meant by a prostitute? Clothes? Ahm you were really lost, but you respected the gentleman's answer and left, when you left you got an even bigger shock, the environment had changed, there were no cafes, the streets were badly illuminated, the people dressed differently, feeling a wave of fear invading your body you started to run like crazy, looking for someone who could help you, after many panicky minutes and without getting any answer you just sat down in an alley and started to cry, where are you? How could you have stopped there? Not even 10 minutes ago you were with your friends, and now you were alone.
You felt the raindrops wet your body and taking advantage that the rain disguised your tears, you hugged your body and tried to breathe, doubts and fears went through your subconscious until you heard the footsteps of someone approaching you, a feeling of hope invaded you but was soon replaced by fear.
"Hey there doll, want some company for tonight?" a man in his forties approached you, and crouched down beside you, he looked you up and down and examined your body, you tried to get up but he pulled you down and pinned you against the wall.
"You look strange, you don't look like you're from here... but I don't care, you'll do for tonight," he said trying to remove your clothes, you screamed and cried, while that pig undressed you and pinned you to the cold wall, the memories of your grandmother, your friends passed in your eyes while you felt your body being abused, you wanted to escape, you wanted to go home, you weren't ready for this... you should never have come .... out of nowhere you felt his body leave yours, he had fallen unconscious on the floor, you looked forward and saw another man, this one looked to be in his early 20's, his costume was different more hidden, he looked at you and helped you to pull yourself together, when you finally finished you looked up at him, his almond colored eyes bewitched you, he put his thumb on your face wiping the tears that were falling.
"I... I don't know... help me..." You fell to your knees on the ground but your body was held by the mysterious man who had saved your life, you felt safe and somehow protected in his embrace, but you weren't strong enough not to cry once again.
"Shhh love, it's ok" he hugged you tightly and pulled you closer to him "You look a little heated, do you have somewhere to stay?" His voice was husky but mesmerizing, but you couldn't answer as you had collapsed in his arms passed out, the fear, the cold, the pain had overcome the last thing you heard was him asking your name.
𝑱𝒂𝒄𝒐𝒃 𝒑𝒐𝒗
With a sigh the assassin took your face lightly, noting every feature of your face, his eyes slid down your body, it was true what he had heard, the rumors that there was a strange traveler roaming the streets was true, but your clothes looked nothing like what he had seen so far.
The rain fell on your bodies, he was afraid you would get sick, even though he didn't know you he couldn't leave you on the street after what had happened, in one movement he gently picked up your body and took your backpack, and went towards the streets calling for a carriage to take you to the station to take refuge on the train, and take care of you.
Getting into the carriage slowly, so you wouldn't be woken up, not that it would be possible to wake you up because you were fainting from exhaustion, but to prevent it, Jacob put your body on top of his, and with his coat wrapped around you, to warm you up.
"Evie will freak when she sees me... what the-" Jacob stopped his words as his gaze was drawn to the necklace that adorned your neck "How come she has this?" he said holding the necklace in his fingers and looking intensely at you "You really are an unexpected traveler."
The streets of London were bustling, the fight against Crawford Starrick, had not been won yet and there was still a long way to go, but still the streets of London was mesmerizing and agitated, the rain was a strange charm of the city, Jacob knew the streets well, he spent most of his time on the streets freeing people from the clutches of the templar.
But he was curious about this strange traveler, during the early evening some Rooks had told him about this mysterious girl who desperately asked crazy questions to people, some even theorized that she had escaped from some asylum, but Jacob had to see with his own eyes this strange girl who had stopped the city with her unusual appearance.
When he arrived at the station, he saw Grennie carrying some boxes of groceries into the train, and when he approached him with a girl in his arms, Henry ran to meet him helping him out.
"What the hell have you been doing now Jacob? Who this girl?" Henry placed his palm over her face, the heavy breathing and the heat she was eradicating were just signs of a strong fever "This girl is burning up we need to get her to a doctor" He said trying to pick up your body but Jacob refused.
"I am sorry my dear Grennie but unfortunately we can't take her to a doctor, she isn't from around here... I found her because of rumors of a strange traveler in town, but I didn't believe it until I saw her lying on the ground with a Blighter on top of her undressing her, the poor thing was terrified, I couldn't leave her there, but look at the way she looks" Jacob removed his coat a little from over you revealing the clothes your real look. "I don't know where she is from but inside her bag, there is some evidence that she isn't from here, I think it might be useful to us, on our mission... just..." Jacob looked at grennie's face with an abandoned puppy dog look.
"I...I don't know Jacob, Miss Evie will freak out about it, but since she might be useful, we can try to wait until she wakes up so we can ask her who she is" Jacob smiled at the answer, Henry opened the door to Jacob's wagon and helped him lay your body down on the small couch, where Jacob use for sleeping.
"Jacob I just got some news... What is going on here?" Evie said abruptly entering the "room" she looked at Jacob with a disapproving look, she walked over to your body examining you, you are burning up with fever.
"She was helpless with a Blighter on top of her doing God knows what, I wasn't going to leave her there alone, besides she's sick, I felt obligated to bring her here, besides Evie.... She is the girl of the rumors, if what they say is really true that she is not from here, she can be useful to us in this fight." Evie stood up and faced Jacob, she knew he was right but she didn't want to admit it, she knew well that her brother sometimes acted before he thought but at this moment he had the right thing to do.
"We'll take care of her until she recovers and we can get answers from her, we won't leave her on the streets, it's really dangerous, but try to consult me before you bring anyone else here, remember that we have a mission to accomplish, and "personal feelings, can compromise the mission" ". Evie said stroking your hair, "Now both of you get out of here, we can't let her sleep in her wet clothes or she'll get even sicker, and Mrs. Green can call a private doctor to come here to examine her?" Evie smiled sweetly in Henry's direction, who replied just as sweetly, walking off with Jacob, leaving you and Evie alone.

I am so sorry I took so long to update this! First I was distracted by a super busy week, and then I decided to rework what I had in store for it. It took a while to redo, but I have decided to make it a 4 part story. Hope you enjoy, and that the wait was worth it!
The day had started out like every other since the lock down began. Leia had slept late, having no where to go. A cold, wet kiss on her nose from Lulu woke her up when the pup could no longer wait to be let out and grumbling she had taken her out for a quick walk up and down the block. After two cups of coffee and some melon, Leia had realized that after three months of enforced solitude, both she and her dog had gotten decidedly surly. It was time to get out, even if it was only to the local park.
Lulu’s excitement when she took out the little pink and white checked dress had been enough to put a smile on Leia’s face. Really, the small dog was a ridiculous creature, but she could be such a bundle of sunshine. After they were both outfitted – Lulu in her dress and Leia in a comfy outfit and mask, they made their way to the nearby park, enjoying a leisurely stroll around the newly green paths. She wished that Lulu was not too timid to play in the dog run, but after spending a year in the shelter the poor thing was terrified of other dogs.
That was why she was so surprised when Lulu’s tale began to wag excitedly. Normally she would have been cowering and whimpering in fear at the sound of another dog approaching, but for once her reaction was completely different. She jumped up from where she had been snuggling on Leia’s lap and perked up her ears, tongue lolling out happily. When the chocolate spaniel came trotting around the bend, she even jumped of Leia and strained at the leash to meet him.
Keeping a tight hold on Lulu’s leash, Leia let her eyes travel up the lead attached to the strange dog. It was quite a long trip, as it happened, past a pair of long legs in torn jogging pants, a faded shirt that would once have been bright blue, and a plain black mask until she got to a set of smiling blue eyes that made her heart stop.
“I’m sorry,” the man said, “I promise he is completely friendly.”
She had known who he was instantly, of course. No face mask could disguise those cheek bones, the copper curls that brushed his collar, or the baby blues that had sent a million fan girls swooning. If she had had any doubts, one word from that sinful voice, a verbal caress of polite friendliness, would have stamped it out. She had seen almost all of his movies, after all, and quite a number of his promotional appearances as well.
“It’s okay, so is she,” she replied struggling to keep her voice normal and grateful for the mask that hid her stunned initial gape. “You know, she’s usually quite shy, but she seems to like him! May I pet him?”
And then Tom Hiddleston – The Tom Hiddleston! – had sat down on the bench next to her while she petted Bobby and struck up a casual conversation! She had kept her eyes on the pups at first, afraid that if she looked at him, he would see the excitement and intimidation in her eyes. He introduced himself, needlessly, of course, and she gave him her name in a kind of daze. She realized that he had only provided his first name and had the quick flash of insight that he might be enjoying the idea of anonymity. If that were the case, she would not want to spoil it for him by gushing. Uncertain of what to do, she let the obvious joke about her name lead her to mentioning Marvel characters. That way, she decided, he would have a segue to talking about his career should he want to. When he let it slide and quickly changed the subject, she decided that her assumption must have been correct.
Which was absolutely fine with her! She was sitting and talking to Tom Hiddleston! While she would, of course, love to pick his brain about Loki, or Shakespeare, or any of a dozen projects, she was more than happy to listen to him discuss his dog in that proud pappa voice. By the time she had told him the story behind Lulu’s dress excitement she was reasonably settled and could actually manage to look him in the eye without blushing.
She had met a few famous people in her time as a London tour guide, and many of them had been a colossal let down. Tom was not one of them. He was everything she had ever imagined or hoped he would be. Kind, funny, clever, a little prone to talk on about any subject he happened on, but in all a delightful conversation partner. She was disappointed but not surprised when he had to leave, but she didn’t want to be too greedy; it was already one of the most magical afternoons of his life. When he mentioned running into them again, she almost squealed with excitement, just barely managing to keep her face impassive.
Thus began a fairy tale of month for Leia and Lulu. After two days of rain, during which she was certain he would forget all about her, they had found the boys again at the same spot. Leia half wondered if she were simply dreaming, but if so, she had no desire to wake up. They met up with Tom and Bobby most days, walking for hours sometimes as they discussed London, their childhoods, school. She learned quickly that he changed the subject instinctively whenever anything came up that might lead to his career. She could respect that. It must be hard, she thought, being always in the public eye. For her own part, Leia tacitly decided to keep the subject of her book a secret. After all, a fantasy story based on Norse Mythology, with Loki playing a leading role, was bound to bring up the sort of conversation he obviously wished to avoid.
As time went on, she began to forget he was a movie star and just think of him as her friend, insane as that struck her when she stopped to look at it. Oh, she was still absurdly attracted to him, but it was no longer for his stunning character portrayals or teasing banter with interviewers. No, the teasing banter she was interested in now was much more personal for her. He was delightful company, unfailingly polite, quick with a wickedly funny comment or a profound musing on life. In short, Leia was well and truly smitten. Hopelessly, she thought with a sigh.
When he invited her to his home, she could barely believe it. A casual acquaintance in the park was one thing, a dinner chez Hiddleston was completely different. She knew it was in large part for the sake of the puppies, and that was fine. Lulu was as besotted with Bobby as Leia was with Tom, only in this case it was obviously mutual. Leia would just have to be careful to guard her heart. She was not a part of his real life, and she needed to remember that, even if they never discussed it.
***
Bobby started barking seconds before the buzzer rang, his tail wagging back and forth at a frantic pace. Tom, scarcely less excited, gave a quick glance in the mirror before slipping on his mask and opening the door.
Leia stood on his doorstep looking even more lovely than usual. Her simple leggings and long tee had been replaced by a pretty, floral sundress in shades of red and yellow and her hair, usually tied up or back, was long and curling about her shoulders. Tom swallowed and tried to keep his eyes from doing too obvious an up and down of her body. It was difficult, considering the shape of her legs and amount of them showing. Lulu’s yip drew his eyes down to her, and he saw that she was dressed in a purple polka dotted number for the evening, her hair sporting several sparkly clips to keep her braids from coming undone.
“Hi, welcome!” he greeted them, straining to keep Bobby from leaping out the door. “Won’t you come in?”
“Thanks,” she smiled with her eyes as he ushered her inside.
“You found the place alright?”
“Your directions were perfect,” she assured him, glancing around at his newly bare entryway. “It’s quite the posh street you live on! I don’t think I’ve ever been into one of these houses.”
“Oh, it’s just like any other home,” he said modestly, feeling stupid as he did. His house had an electronic gate (that he had left unlocked for her) and a private surveillance system. He knew it was not the usual home. “I can give you a tour later if you like.”
“I’d love that. Whatever you have cooking smells delicious!”
“Thanks. I’ll have to check on it in a bit. For now, though, why don’t we go out back? I have some drinks chilling.”
He gestured for her to proceed him and subtly steered her past the kitchen and living room and out the sliding glass doors into the back. The yard was pretty, a nice square plot with flowers growing along the fence on three sides and one large tree giving shade. A table with four chairs and a grill stood on a little stone area, and Tom had set it up with a selection of glasses for beer, wine, and mixed drinks. A pitcher of iced water stood next to a bottle of dry rose in an ice bucket, and another small bucket contained iced beers.
“Here you go, Bobby,” he unleashed the spaniel who instantly tore off around the yard, looking for his favorite toy. “Why don’t you two have a nice frolic.”
“Oh Lulu, this will be fun!” Leia cooed to her pup, also removing her dog’s leash.
As the little dog scampered off after Bobby, Tom took a deep breath and turned to her owner. Now was the moment he had been waiting for.
“I suppose since we are alone and outside and all… as long as we stay six feet apart… would you mind?” he gestured towards his mask.
“Not at all. Oh, and I got my negative test results back. I have a copy on my phone if you want to see them!” she offered.
“No need, I trust you,” he was quick to assure her. “I got mine as well.”
It was strange – until a few months ago he would have felt tremendously awkward wearing a mask around another person. Even when he had needed to wear one for a few scenes in Only Lovers Left Alive it had seemed tremendously cumbersome and rather silly. Now though, Tom realized that he could not remember the last time he had been around another person without one. There was something shockingly intimate in the act of taking it off in front of Leia, and he found himself feeling almost shy. Blushing a bit, he unhooked the straps from around his ears and took the fabric from in front of his mouth, setting it on one of the chairs.
His eyes fastened on her as she reached up to do the same, the red mask peeling away to reveal a small bow of a mouth, pink lips curved in a slight smile. Her chin was slightly pointed and had a cute little half dimple to one side. Smile lines were just barely visible and added to the appeal of her face. It was a very kissable mouth, he decided.
“Hi,” he said, rather fatuously, face breaking into a sheepish grin. “I’m Tom.”
“Hi Tom,” she smiled back, and his heart skipped a beat. “I’m Leia.”
They stood there for a moment, staring at each other, until he cleared his throat and pointed to a chair.
“Please, have a seat,” he managed to say. “As you see, I have wine, beer, water, or I could make you a cocktail if you’d rather. Or lemonade if you prefer a soft drink…” he realized he was babbling and cut himself off.
“Wine would be nice,” she said, sitting down and crossing one long leg over the other, giving him a lovely glimpse of her thigh.
“Right, wine it is,” he said, uncorking the bottle and grabbing a glass. “I hope it’s alright. My sister loves this brand, she brought it when she was here last, and it is better than anything I would have known to get.”
“Not a wine guy?” she asked, accepting the glass from him.
“Oh, I like a good hearty red with a steak now and then, and I will definitely have some with dinner tonight – I hope you like Italian, by the way – but for casual drinking, I’m more of a beer or scotch fan myself.”
While he prattled on Tom opened up one of the beers and poured it into a pint glass. When the foam had gone down a bit, he raised the glass and tilted it towards her.
“To deepening new friendships,” he dared to say, eyes finding hers.
They clinked their glasses, and he took a long sip of the hoppy beverage, hoping he hadn’t over stepped.
“To embracing human interaction!” she added. “Selectively, of course.”
Well, she obviously didn’t recognize him. That was a relief. He had been half worried that she would shriek, or become tongue tied, or worse. It was remarkable to him how many women seemed to have extreme reactions to meeting him. He was so ordinary! Just an overgrown ginger kid from Wimbledon. It wasn’t like they were meet Daniel Day Lewis for god’s sake. On the other hand, he couldn’t help feeling the tiniest twinge of disappointment. He worked hard at his job, after all, and was proud of the reputation he had developed and of the work he had done. It was strange, with how up on everything Leia always seemed, that she didn’t have any knowledge of Marvel at least, or The Night Manager. Still, some people didn’t watch a lot of movies and TV, or if they did it was more intellectual fare.
They both leaned back in their chairs and watched the dogs play chase back and forth. Tom found his eyes drifting back to her, staring at her mouth. He had never realized just how much a person’s mouth said about them. Leia’s smiled as a default, giving her a more youthful look than she had when it was covered. There was something fresh and approachable about her that he was drawn to.
The conversation was light and easy. Neither of them had been doing much of anything lately, so they resorted to telling older stories from their childhoods. Tom was amused to think of Leia playing with her friends, insisting that no, she wanted to be Han Solo despite what her thoughtless parents had named her. Tom, of course, had wanted to play all of the characters, and delighted her with his spot-on Darth Vadar and Grand Moff Tarkin impressions.
“You were a terror, weren’t you?” she laughed as he described bossing his sister about the correct way to make the light saber noises.
“A bit, yeah,” he admitted. “Emma and Sarah would probably say more than a bit. They had it coming though.”
“I’m sure they would agree with that, too,” she said sarcastically.
“It’s not my fault they couldn’t take direction,” he grinned. “I’m sure you would have made an excellent Han Solo. With the proper lessons.”
“Perhaps you can make me your student after dinner, if we have enough wine,” she suggested.
He knew she meant it innocently enough, but he felt a blush creep up his cheeks at the image her words planted in his mind. Leia in a schoolgirl outfit, bent over his desk flashing through his brain was enough to make him reach for his beer and gulp down more than was advisable. She seemed to realize after a moment, as she too reached for her glass and took a long swallow.
Lulu chose that moment to break away from where they had been digging around the tree and came running over to them, something grimy hanging from her mouth.
“What have you got there, peanut?” Leia sked, sounding a bit relieved.
“She seems to have unearthed one of Bobby’s treasures,” Tom smiled, glad of the distraction himself.
“Here, princess, you want me to throw it for you?”
Leia held out her hand and she happily dropped the toy into it. Tom looked at the toy and felt his jaw go slack and his eyes frantic. It was Loki. Of course it was. One of Bobby’s favorite toys, naturally, given to him during the lead up to one of the movies, the thick ropes of green and gold formed a long God of Mischief chew toy/tug of war combo, complete with horns. Tom licked his lips, glancing quickly at Leia, only to see that she was smiling down at her fluffy pup.
“Oh, Lulu, Look! It’s just like yours, only a bit more loved,” she said with a laugh. “Good girl, saving the handsome prince from a shallow grave. Loki never stays dead for long!”
With another laugh she took the toy and threw it across the yard, Lulu and Bobby both quickly scampering off after it. Tom gaped at her, uncertain what to say.
“You must have a lot of those,” she commented off handedly.
“You… you know?” he stammered.
“Know what?”
“Who I am?” it sounded stupid and conceited to his own ears.
“Well, I hope so since I’m in your home.”
“No, I mean you know what I do for a living,” he ground out, feeling like an utter ass.
“Of course,” she told him, quirking her lips.
“Since when?” he choked out.
“Since the first day. You’re not exactly easy to mistake, Tom.”
“Why didn’t you say anything?”
“You didn’t seem to want to talk about it. I figured it must get old, people falling all over themselves around you, treating you like you’re not even human.”
“Yeah. Yeah it does.”
“So I took my cue from you.”
“I see,” he was completely flummoxed. “And you have a Loki toy? For Lulu, I mean?”
“Of course, he’s our favorite! Poor, misunderstood boy. You know, I am glad I have the opportunity to tell you now how good you are. And not just as Loki. You were breath taking in Betrayal.”
“You saw Betrayal?”
“Twice. Stunning work.”
He knew his mouth was opening and closing stupidly, but he couldn’t seem to stop it. She had known, all this time. She had been humoring him by not talking about it. He was not entirely sure how to feel about that.
“Tom is everything alright?” she asked, sounding concerned.
“Was that why you talked to me?” he heard himself asking. “Why you agreed to come over? Because I am famous?”
“No,” she said slowly. “I came over because you asked, and because I like you. Yes, I was a bit star struck at first, but I got past it. Are you angry? I just assumed you realized.”
“No. No, I didn’t. I… I should go check on dinner.”
“Tom, really, are you okay?”
“Yeah, absolutely. Be right back.”
Turning tail, he fled into the house, mind in complete turmoil at the new turn of events.

Consideration and Generosity
----------------
Fandom: Miraculous Ladybug and Chat Noire, DCU
Characters: Marinette, Damian
----------
She sat on a park bench that day; the weather was hot yet, cloudy.
Despite the uncomfortable sweat clinging to her being and the buzzing noise of her surroundings, she smiled happily. She would do anything for inspiration, even endure the blistering feeling of the sun.
Soon enough it has been hours since she began to sketch and draw designs for clothing she wishes to make true.
She feels her head is off, so she takes a break to answer a text from her mother.
----------
(Mom) Marinette, are you still at the park? It's been five hours.
(Me) Yep! Just taking a break.
(Mom) Just now? It's really hot outside, have you eaten? What about water?
(Me) Don't worry! I'm fine! I stayed in the shade the whole time.
(Mom) Okay, but I want a picture of you eating.
(Me) Okay, I will. I love you!
(Mom) I love you too.
----------------------
Marinette, packs her sketch books and other materials a way in her bag. She stands up, only to tip over onto someone walking past her.
"Hey, you-"
The person stops to keep her from falling all the way down.
"Uh... I'm sorry, I guess I should have taken a break earlier."
She tries to break a way from the strangers grip. They let her go easily. They began to walk a little further a way with a eye in her direction. She sits down again to collect herself. She takes a few breaths and thinks about how to get up without falling and embarrassing herself.
"I wish I packed a water bottle or something, I knew it was hot but I thought I would be fine....", she thought to herself.
She checked her bag in case she just forgot. Lo and behold there was a water bottle in one of the outside pockets.
"Huh....? That's strange, I was sure I......oh well.", she shrugged it off as her forgetting.
Feeling a little better, she carefully stood up. Having not fallen, she smiled and picked up her full bag. She walks in the direction of a small restaurant to eat, since she wouldn't make it home before hunger got to her.
She walked like she wasn't being followed. Casual and slow, she took in the buildings a round her. The same as her memories told her, but still just as beautiful.
Once she got to an empty table, she sat her bag down in front of her. The waitress walks up to her with a smile.
"Hello! Here is the menu, please take your time. Though I do suggest today's special! Mushroom soup with broccoli, carrots, and rice."
"Thank you."
"No problem!"
The waitress leaves her be and she focuses on the menu. It seems that this restaurant is all about healthy living.
She hums to herself as she thinks of her order. However, everything sounded wonderful and she couldn't decide. Then she heard a waitress bring someone's order of a tofu and veggie stuffed bell peppers with a side salad. So she looked over to see the meal and found that it looked delicious. She also saw they ordered tomato juice.
Looking at the menu one more time, she located the meal, drink and picked out a dessert on her own.
As soon as she put her menu down, the waitress came up to her with her pen and notepad out.
"Ready to order?"
"Yes, I would like the Tofu and Veggie stuffed Bell peppers with a side salad, tomato juice, and the vanilla, soy bean ice cream."
"Would you like a topping?"
"Yes, let's see....oh! The coconut sprinkles and strawberry drizzle."
"To repeat: Tofu, veggie stuff bell peppers, side salad, tomato juice, vanilla soy bean ice cream with coconut sprinkles and strawberry drizzle?"
"Yes."
"Okay, we will right on it!"
Marinette took out her phone as she waited. She texted her mom, that she was at a restaurant nearby. Her mom reminded her to send a picture of her eating.
A few minutes later and her food was brought to her.
"Thank you so much!"
"It's no problem, dear, tell me if you need anything!"
The waitress leaves to let her eat. She sends a picture of her food to her mom, who responded with the words 'smile and heart'.

Change perspective
--------
His day was normal. He woke up and dealt with the hooligans that plagued his life. He was currently in Paris as a part of a stake out group. His family dispersed during day to do individual actives. His father wanted him near by, but he argued that he didn't need to be monitored.
His father conceded by saying he must practice being considerate of other people and to update him on how it is going and if he needs help. He was more than reluctant to agree. Regardless, he did.
He didn't like the loose nature of his apparel for the day, but had no chouce due to the heat.
Though by no means is his clothing loose in comparison to others definition. He prefers to be dignified at all times.
Most of the day, he had nothing report to his father that was particularly considerate until he notice the ragged look of a girl a round his age. She looked dehydrated and ill. He scoffs at her lack of self preservation until he notice she was immersed in some kind of sketching. He also remembered his has to be 'considerate' today so he will say she was lost to passion. After all, this is Paris, the city known for passion.
He watches her as she unconsciously squints and makes a grim expression at times. She sways ever so slightly.
In his observations, she stopped her work to look at her phone. Her condition is not well. He walks a little closer with a water bottle he bought. The moment he walked next to her and she stood, he stabilized her and slipped the water bottle in her bag as she spoke, trying to clear her head. She was drenched in sweat.
"Father better be grateful, I am being more than generous with being 'considerate', disgusting.", he thought with distain.
He hurried a way from her only to stop a short distance a way to watch her more and to sanitize his hands; to rid himself of the horrid feeling of her sweat.
The girl swayed less than before, but after updating his father of what happened, he was ordered to tail her. What if she collapsed? His efforts would have been in vain if that was so.
He was slightly frustrated and her slow pace did nothing to help. He only felt a bit better at her choice of eatery. He saw that she was heading for a Healthy Living Restaurant and went a head of her to sit down. He typed to his father that the girl was trying to decide what to eat. He was instructed to do what he thought best if he were to interfere at all. So he picked the most sensible option for her condition, in return, she followed and added something to her order.
He ate quietly and finished before her. He then left a large tip; the service was quick, the food palatable, atmosphere was pleasant and he doubted the girl had much on her. Enough to pay perhaps, but she would then be left with nothing else.
She seemed to be middle class, and the middle class does not make much little wealth, to him at least. Sure, her clothing was quite good with quality, but her manners weren't all that remarkable and nothing else about her was either.
Polite, is what she was. Quiet, unnoticeable, and polite.
To him, she was a foolish girl that dreamed too much and did little for her own well-being. Truly the epitome of moronic whelps.
After he left the restaurant, he watched from a distance. Through the window, he saw her tempt to pay, only to be denied. He smirked, perhaps he should visit this particular restaurant again and maybe even invest a bit?
He felt his phone buzz, his father typed, wanting to be updating on the status of the girl. It became apparent that some of the hooligans are now aware of his sudden punish- mission. Yes, this is a mission.
Protecting such weak plebeians is the duty of his father and him, also the unsightly hooligans- not well in his opinion- but he shall add them this once.
"Father is surely proud of how 'considerate' and 'generous' I am.", he believes, "Excessively so."
------
The day ends with Marinette safely returning home and the still mysterious young man facing his mismatched family.
The young man remained considerate as he ignored the jeers of the hooligans until he realized, he didn't have to any more and retorted as though his words came from the high heavens.
---------
The next time he checked in on the young lady, he had some knowledge of her background he shouldn't and decided to continue to see to it that she is well taken care.
"It's called being an arrogant, egotistical xsshxle with a God complex. She doesn't need your 'consideration', she is not a charity case!"
One loud problem claimed as he tuned him out.
---------
The young man did visit the restaurant once more and she was there. She would visit often and order the same thing as he had the first time. There were times she ordered something else and he would try things she experimented with, minus the meat.
She ordered meat less and less the more she came to the restaurant, he noticed. He had no clue why, since she obviously had no problem eating it.
He didn't order sweets as often as she did, but he would on occasion, get something with a little bit of sweetness to it; like the dried fruit sandwich with any type of sauce it can come with. The sandwich had fresh, and air dried fruit. There would be other ingredients and such to change the flavor of the sandwich, making it a popular item on the menu.

She felt like she has seen the same guy a lot over the past two months and is slightly worried. After some thought to it and the more she believed she was over thinking it and that it was pure coincidence. She did know, however, he had good taste in food and art. Plus that animals are so cute!! He couldn't be all bad if animals liked him.
She would walk a little closer and sometimes walk a little farther from him and since he never moved, she felt better. It really was a coincidence to her knowledge.
Eventually, she would would stop seeing him. He was a tourist, so of course he would leave at some point. Still, she was a little sad.
Oh well, school is starting soon, maybe she'll make friends to fill the loneliness her pretend friend left her.
She liked to pretend this stranger was her friends and that they hung out, since she saw him in most places that she was. She saw him at the restaurant and sometimes the park and rarely he would be at the museum. Technically he wasn't everywhere and not as frequent as she made it seem like he was, but if was often enough to remember him.
"You should have talked to him, get his number."
"But then he might have thought I was hitting on him! I just wanted a friend..."
"Sweetie, look on bright side! Either you can cherish memories that made you happy or you can forget him and move on. You don't know what life has in-store for you, it could be fun!"
"Thank you, mom. You too dad, I will see what happens."
"On that note, want help me frost some cakes?"
"Yes!!!"

Heyy could we please get an angsty to love admission where kags thinks she like hinata
AN: Hi! This is a good one. I couldn't decide what route to take it so in a way I made two different scenarios. However, I think this one is more closer to what you might've had in mind. It's gonna have to be a 2-part thing because it got a bit lengthy and then the other one is still hanging around but I'll be posting that sometime this week. (More notes at the end)
About: Y/N caught a glimpse of Kags and is curious what lies beyond the sulking and seriousness of this airhead. He can be quite stubborn and not the best at talking. However, she finally has the chance to sit down with him- one on one.
Part One
You laughed at how Shoyo explained his latest match with his expressive bam! And pows! Unfortunately, you missed it because of a high fever but Shoyo texted you their victory the second they secured it. Though, you were slightly hoping that another team member would notify you. Or at least ask if you were okay.
You were feeling better now thanks to the ball of sunshine moving around here and there. He made you forget everything you were mentally feeling.
"Hinata!" A low voice intruded the conversation and turned a few heads. You stood from your spot on top of Shoyo's desk and patted your skirt a bit. You recognized Kageyama's voice instantly. It was always intense and serious, sometimes it had the power to make you flustered with a simple greeting. "Yachi is waiting for us," he announced.
They usually met up with their manager to work on homework and get extra notes to stay on top of school work. It was necessary for them so they can go to every away game even if it was just for practice.
"Oh yeah," Hinata realized. He got up and grabbed his notebook from his desk and a pencil. You watched him and then glanced back at the dark-haired boy who looked away. He was frowning as if he was displeased. "Want to join us, Y/N?"
Your eyes met his brown ones again. "Are you sure it's not too much trouble?"
"Hinata!" He called again, a little more annoyed.
"Of course not, you're smart so it'll be double the help." He smiled so sweetly and reassuringly at you while he ignored his teammate. You blushed at the compliment.
"Hinata! Let's go!"
"We're coming!" He yelled back, then offered his hand to you. You agreed mostly because you didn't want these two to get in trouble for screaming as if they were outside in the field. You were dragged towards Kageyama and then let go once all three of you were together in the hall.
You were put in the middle of them and that realization alone flustered you. You took sneak peeks at Kageyama while walking. His sharp jawline was the most evident thing you could see since he was facing away. His hands hid in his pockets giving him that careless persona at first glance.
It makes sense why some people keep their distance from him. He's always gloomy or serious, at first glance that is. You stared at him a bit longer though, and noticed how he was very oblivious and quite the cloud chaser. There were times when he was seriously trying to think and the gears were turning, and then there were times where he dozed off. Looked out the window more than at the board. And when you went to their volleyball game, how different he was. Maybe a bit more intense, it even gave you goosebumps. But there was more, the pride and grin when he served the ball with incredible force. The nervousness he got when he was off his game. There was a much bigger variety during that time and it amazed you. You wanted to feel that, to find something incredible and always run towards it.
Kageyama had introduced himself to you like he normally does, absent-minded and nonchalant. He wasn’t mean to you but he wasn’t always the most welcoming. You've been trying to talk to him a bit more but he always looked busy or in a mood. For example, last week after classes ended you tried to catch up with them before they went into their practice to wish them luck, or… well that was your only flimsy plan. You were so nervous you couldn’t look at him when you said it so you just looked at Shoyo and it was then that he told you to come to their game. It would’ve been even easier to wish them good luck, more specifically, wish him good luck.
The three of you reached Yachi’s class where she was already setting up. Hinata rushed over and greeted her and you couldn’t help but smile. He’s so nice to everyone and the amount of energy he has. It looks tiring to you but maybe it’s different for him.
“Oh, I invited Y/N, I hope that’s okay.” Shoyo introduced you to Yachi and you replied with a small hi. “She’s really smart so you don’t have to tutor her.”
“Oh? If you don’t mind, can you help Kageyama with his English? Hinata has been struggling on the last chapter and if he doesn’t get it now, he’s not going to get the new one.” She said as if she was calculating some plans and then she snapped back. “Only if that’s okay with you! And you Kageyama! I don’t want to pressure you or anything!”
You raised your hands to calm her down a bit and gave her a reassuring smile, “I’m completely okay with it, English is my best subject. Unless Kageyama has a problem with it…”
You looked at his tall form- he was still looking away from you but you swear there was a hint of pink rushing to his cheeks.
“It’s fine-”
“Great!” Yachi interrupted, “Now let’s go over this one more time.”
You moved a row over and towards the back of the class to an empty desk. He pulled a chair and sat to your right. His knee slightly brushed over yours when he scooted in, which he apologized for right away. You gave him a tight smile and waved it off- your words would sound incoherent if you tried to use your voice.
“Your notes look like Yachi’s but less intense,” he commented when you took out your notebook. You didn’t know if that was a compliment or not so you kinda just shrugged. “Are you not going to talk?” He blurted out making your cheeks go red. When he realized what he said, his own face turned a similar shade in which he just went back to reading your writing.
“Sorry- I mean, I can talk I just-”
“Don’t want to talk to me?” Your eyes snapped to him who was still avoiding. Your head tilted a bit confused at the assumption.
“No, that’s not it-”
“Can you teach me some English now?” He asked a bit roughly. You swallowed a lump in your throat but agreed.
Maybe you thought too highly of him…
It continued about the same, you’d try to make a joke to provide some relief from the tension but he’d just make odd comments that ultimately ruined the mood. By the end of the session, you were pissed off and salty about the interaction. This was your first time one on one with him and he turned out to be a total douche.
You slammed the book and your notebook. That finally made him jump just a little in his seat.
“Is something wrong with you?”
You scoffed at his question. “There’s nothing wrong with me, but maybe you should check on yourself sometimes.” You packed your stuff and got up from your seat. “You know I didn’t have to help you.”
“You want me to apologize for you accepting the invitation that I had no part of?” He taunted, “it’s not my fault you can’t say no to your little crush.”
You were bewildered. And if smoke could come out of your ears like in cartoons, you’d be fuming. What the hell is this idiot talking about?
“What the hell are you talking- you know what, nevermind. You could’ve said no to me helping you if I bothered you so much, Kageyama!” He stood up and you walked up to point your finger at him and then cross your arms. He was a bit taken aback at the act.
“Uh guys?”
“What!” You both said while turning your heads towards a nervous Hinata.
“Uh… can we keep it down? You’re about to get in trouble if you two don’t hurry up and head to class.”
You looked back at Kageyama, still angry and wanting to say some last line but your mind went blank. Instead, you stomped your foot and walked out of the classroom with one last huff.
AN: Part 2 coming soon. AND If this isn't really what you meant, don't be afraid to let me know what you're looking for exactly :)

Next Time
Summary: "Did you know, when clouds are unhappy, they will cry their heart out that’s why there are rains? But the sky would laugh at them that’s why there are thunders, isn’t funny?"
You loved and chased him for four years but you suddenly stopped on the last year of senior year. Levi didn't know why, but now he knows.
Pairing: Levi Ackerman x Fem!Reader
Warnings & Content: Death, Angst
Word Count: 2507
The wind dances swiftly through the air as soon as Levi stepped out of his car, he looked up to the dull, gloomy sky that seems to be pouring rain any minute from now.
He remembers how you told him how you felt the joy when it is raining, how you felt relaxed and calm as the tiny droplets of rain land on your skin. He couldn’t possibly forget the first day you talked to him, the weather was the same as today.
How could he forget that exact moment? You looked ethereal when the two of you first met.
He remembers everything.
-
The joy and excitement on your face as you entered your classroom was painted on your face, it was your first day of junior year. You're excited yet nervous to start your first day of high school since you will see new faces, and you get to experience a unique environment for you.
You carefully scan the room as you try to think about where you should sit for the rest of the year, you could sit on the first row and be that student who aces their classes, but you could also sit at the back of the class and make lots of friends while having fun for the rest of the year.
Yet your eyes land on the third-row seat, a boy who is sitting silently on his chair while looking over to the window with no expression painted on his face.
Slowly, your feet started walking towards him. You nervously grip on the strap of your bag when you stopped in front of him. He didn’t even glance at your side to acknowledge your presence.
“Hello,” you cheerfully greet him as soon as you sat on the chair beside him. The raven-haired boy didn’t bother to answer your greetings nor glance at you.
‘He must be having a bad day early this morning,’ you thought.
You placed your arm on the table of your seat and rested your chin on the palm of your hand as you looked at the sky he was looking at. You are invested in what the boy was looking at, yet you only found a dull sky and leaves swaying gracefully on the ground. You opened your mouth to engage in a conversation with him but thunder stopped you from doing so and that made the boy flinch from its sound.
‘Cute’ you thought.
A giggle escaped your mouth as you looked at him, this time, you were cut off not by a clap of thunder but by his beautiful steel gray eyes that match the shade of the sky. Your smile slowly fades as you get lost in how mesmerizing his eyes are as he looks at you with an annoyed look to hide the blush on his face.
“Hey, sorry, I didn’t mean to laugh at you it's just that- oh, I'm Elide by the way what's your name?”
“My name’s Levi.” He replied
You gave him the sweetest smile you could give that day, even if his face screams annoyance from your presence. Yes, you gave him your smile and your name that day, but why did you include your heart.
-
Ever since that day, you would always sit next to him in class and engage in small talks with him, he sometimes answers, but he mostly stayed quiet. You help him with history subject and sometimes buy snacks for him since he doesn’t leave the classroom that often during breaks. You consider him as a friend.
Your friendship with him lasted for a year, but eighth grade changed when you already acknowledged your feelings for him. You were just a child, a foolish child who was scared to have regrets so you confessed the feelings you have for him.
Eight grade year came fast and this is the year that you confessed to Levi. You told him how you felt for him, how his eyes made the butterflies in your stomach fly, and how you felt happy whenever you see him, especially when he smiles, even if you only saw it once.
Yet you did not get the answer you wished you had. Instead, he pushed you away with all his strength. Its not like you were hoping that he would return the feeling to you.
“Stay away from me from now on.” That is the only answer you got and the last word he said to you since then. You watched him as his back slowly vanish in front of your eyes, but he never saw the tears that run through your cheeks.
-
It's been four years since you confessed to Levi, and you're now in your senior year, only months left before you graduate and start college.
You were not alone in those four years, you became friends with Sasha, Connie and Jean, and you also saw Levi with his new friends Hange and Erwin. They don’t hate you as much as Levi did since they would smile at you when you pass by each other on the corridors, and you would often exchange hi and hello’s.
In those four years, you never stopped loving him, you didn’t give up on him, and it never crossed your mind even though he would always ignore you as if you don’t exist in his world.
Since that day, Levi never talked to you so you would constantly write letters for him and slid them in his locker. You would tell him how boring math and history class was, you would ask him how were his weekend and holidays. You would leave candies on his desk every morning, you never saw him eating it but you also didn’t saw him throw it. But he still didn’t acknowledge you, it's like he forgot you even exist.
It pains deeply you but you stopped writing letters to him in your last year of senior year. You stopped giving him candies and you stopped looking at him with admiration like you used to. You don’t want to put an end to this, but you know deep inside of your heart that you have to.
“Excuse me for asking, but you don’t buy those candies anymore for your loverboy there. Is everything okay? He didn’t do anything to you, right? Jean and Connie will beat his ass up if he did.” You looked at Sasha who is busy writing on his notebook while sipping on her orange juice.
The three of them had always been there for you, the moments and memories you have shared with them are the most precious thing you treasure wholeheartedly.
Sasha and Connie are the persons who can make you laugh till your lungs and stomach hurt as you gasp out for air and tears would form under your eyes. They are your serotonins in life as they act like your younger siblings. On the other hand, Jean is like an older brother to you, he is overly protective to all of you and he is the person you would talk to when you're down and sad.
You smiled at those memories and the feelings you treasure.
You shake your head and glance over to the boy quietly writing on his notebook while the two of his friends are currently having a conversation. The first boy that made your heart flutter, the boy who made you like tea since it is his favorite drink, the boy who has the most mesmerizing eyes you’ve seen and soft hair that you still feel on your fingertips. Levi.
A small smile was already curved on your lips just by looking at him, you didn’t notice, but Sasha, Connie, and jean did. They looked at each other, and sadness are visible in their eyes.
Levi subconsciously looks at your side and his eyes widened a little when he met yours, you were in pain when you once again saw those steel-gray eyes, those pinchable cheeks that he has and those lips. You gave him a soft smile before you started writing on your notebook once again.
“No, he didn’t do anything, I gave up since I'm tired of chasing.” You softly replied to Sasha.
Liar.
You never did.
-
Levi opened the door of his car so Hange and Jean can get out. Nothing has changed over the years, Levi and Hange are still friends, along with Erwin. They manage to get through college and find a stable job. Hange became a Chemistry professor at the university she went to in college. Erwin is now an accountant at a famous bank, Sasha is now a flight stewardess and Connie's a pilot, Jean’s now an architect, and Levi is now a medical technologist. They all have their lives put together. They are contented and in some terms happy.
Levi held the Bouquet tightly in his hands as they walk over to your spot. He is neatly dressed as you would expect from him, he's nervous.
Hange placed her hand on his shoulder, trying to calm Levi down.
The three of them are out of words, and they don’t know what to say.
“She never stopped loving you, you know, she never did and she never tried.” Jean softly muttered loud enough for the three of them to hear.
“She-“ Jean choked on his own words while he nervously pulls something out from his wallet before handing it to Levi.
Levi can't feel anything, hell he can’t even move an inch of his body as it became numb, but he still manages to grab the paper jean gave.
“It's for you.” Jean said before excusing himself to return to the car.
He can’t do this right now.
“I’ll… leave you for a moment, I’ll be back.” Hange softly said while gently rubbing Levi’s back before leaving.
Hange only knew you by your name, but she knows deep inside that you and her could get along very well. She only had one memory of you, it's when she tripped on the stairs and her science project got ruined, people started laughing at her instead of helping her, she swears at everyone in the hall that day except for you. You helped her that day pick up her project without hesitation and with a smile that never left your mouth. She knows you’re a good person.
“Brat,” Levi starts while looking at you with those same gray eyes. He never changed.
He slowly opens the letter you wrote for him with his shaky hands as he tries his very best to compose himself.
-
Dear Levi,
Hello Levi, it is me! I'm sure you know me because if you already forgot about me, then I'm going to be so sad, just kidding. Did you know, when clouds are unhappy, they will cry their heart out that’s why there are rains? But the sky would laugh at them that’s why there are thunders, isn’t funny? Do you remember the first time we have met Levi? The sky was laughing at the sky, and maybe it was even laughing at us. You know, that day, I told you that it might rain, but you said that have hope because it will not rain. I did hope and it still rained, its funny because nine years have already passed and I'm still hoping, I'm hoping for myself, for my friends and family and for you. I'm dying Levi, I have leukemia and I already stopped the medication since the last year of senior year but you gave me hope to live and to fight then. Your eyes did gave me hope. I want to live Levi, I wanted to stay but I know I can't anymore, but I did not regret every single thing that has happened to me since it is all my choice.
I never hated you for mistreating me in high school, I never did. In fact, I am thankful for you and I'm grateful that I met you. Existing is barely possible but living with you is a miracle. The candies that I gave you, you know that I was looking at you every morning watching if you would throw them didn’t you? So you didn’t throw then, not a single one. I was curious, but I never dared to ask yet I also don’t want to regret now that I didn’t asked the reason why but it doesn’t matter now. Thank you Levi for everything, I don’t regret anything, so I hope you also have no regrets from the past. But hey, live your life to the fullest, don’t worry, I got your back.
Oh, also, did I tell you that you have the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen? I hope you know how much I love your eyes but not as much as I love you Levi.
See you, Levi.
-With love
Levi’s chest tightens as his body becomes numb and his ears started ringing. He brings the letter you wrote on his chest before drops of tears started escaping his eyes.
Levi never hated you, he never did. In fact, he loved and adored you just as much as you did. You were the first person who dared to talk to him continuously for years, you were the only person who cared for him despite how hard he pushed you before and he hated himself that he did not have the chance to express how he cared for you.
The day you confessed, his stomach tightens and his heart pounds as if it wanted to leave his chest, he wanted to say that he felt the same way but he can't, he doesn’t know how so instead, he pushed you away into his life. He stopped talking to you, hoping that you will hate him and leave him alone but you never did.
He constantly pushed you out of his life while you constantly pull him in yours. The both of you were only hurting yet none of you noticed.
He did regret pushing you away constantly and that is when he starts telling himself that he doesn’t deserve you, he was so scared that he might break you if he tries to apologize for what he did to you.
He's now late as he looks down on your tomb. Your smile that brings comfort to him was already gone.
You were gone.
The sky slowly becomes gray once again before letting out thunder above him.
Was the sky laughing at him? At you? At the both of you?
Levi slowly kneels as he places the flowers on your tomb, lost of words as he stayed silent while tiny drops of rain started hitting his skin.
He immediately put your letter inside his wallet, scared that it might get wet from the rain, it’s the only thing that he had that reminds him of you.
He looks at the same dull sky the day you’ve met, only this time, the sky is crying along with him.
“I love you more, more than you know. See you.”

Focus | Harry x Reader
Prompt requested by anon: As seeker for Ravenclaw, it is your job to focus on the game, not on how cute the Gryffindor seeker is. You know that Harry has a crush on you, so you decide to use it against him during a quidditch match.
Warnings: None! Lots of a flustered Harry :)
Word count: 2.0k
Flirting was not your greatest skill. Sure, you weren’t awful at it, but you were much better at making jokes, or doing well in school, or baking. But flirting was not your special skill. Even when you had a crush on someone, you were never the person who went out of their way to talk to them or flirt with them. Instead, you stuck to the sidelines, observing them and talking to them when you were approached or when it felt natural to strike conversation. Besides, there were many people who were interesting enough for you at Hogwarts.
Well, all except for Harry. He was the Chosen One, yes, so he had that title going for him. But you found how awkward and silly he was particularly adorable. The way that when he talked to you, he’d push his glasses up with his finger, looking down as he did so to not make eye contact with you. How he awkwardly shift side to side when he talked to you, rocking back and forth. Potter was sweet in a boyish way.
Not to mention, you loved watching him play quidditch. The Ravenclaw watched every match, even if it wasn’t their own, in order to study the other team’s strategies and devise a game plan that way. When you watched Harry play, you were in absolute awe of how talented he was on that broom, zipping back and forth, catching the Golden Snitch with what seemed like no effort. He was naturally so talented. Made sense if he was the Chosen One.
You were recently new to the Ravenclaw quidditch team, only being a new addition last year, promoted from Chaser to Seeker. This raised the stakes. The Seeker was a pivotal member of the team and you took a great sense of pride knowing that you team trust you and thought you were talented enough to be the starting Seeker. What brought you anxiety was the fact that you would have to be head to head with Harry in your next match and future matches.
Harry was a skilled quidditch player, but you did have a few tricks up your sleeve. Even though you were committed to playing a fair and fun game, what was stopping you from using your assets to your advantage...Those assets being that you knew Potter has fancied you since year five when he had accidentally spilled pumpkin juice on your Divinations textbook. Why not use that in your favor?
So there you were in the Ravenclaw locker room, changing for the match, thoughts prancing around in your head. You wanted to win this match fairly, but at the same time, a part of you wanted to sneakily use the tricks you had up your sleeve. “What are you smiling about, (Y/L/N)?” your captain, Roger teases. “Something you wanna share with the team?”
The team looks in your direction as your mouth goes dry. Should I tell them? you think. What do I have to lose? They can only say no. “Well,” you start, pulling on your boots. “I happen to have some information that could be valuable to scoring a win today for Ravenclaw,” you shrug as you watch your teammates reactions.
“Well, don’t just keep it to yourself now!” Cho pushes. “What is it?”
The rest of the team chimes in, pushing you to tell them what information you had. You smile and look at them. “Long story short, I know that the Gryffindor seeker has a certain soft spot for yours truly. Maybe it could serve as a distraction..” you trail off, uncertain about how the team would receive it.
Much to your surprise, Roger laughs victoriously, high five-ing the people around him. You see Cho’s expression falter a little, you knew she had a history with Potter. But you gives you a thumbs up. If it meant winning the match, you guys were more than okay with using this information for their benefit. “Alright, no time better than now to prove yourself,” Roger sighs. “How about we, uh, plant the seed, folks?” he asks and you chuckle.
Rising from the bench, you follow Roger’s instructions and leave the locker room, on the hunt to find Potter. It didn’t take to you long, he was in the hallway about to enter back into the Gryffindor locker room when you stopped him. “Harry!” you call out to him with a smile.
Harry flips your way, a small smile creeping onto his lips. “Oh, (Y/N), hi! Uh, what’s up?” he asks, leaning up against the wall, trying to act cool. You saw right through him as he nervously gulped and fixed his glasses, a habit of his.
Smiling, you stand right in front of him. “I wanted to just come out here and wish you good luck. I know we’ll be playing against each other, but why not show some friendly sportsmanship?” you teasingly push his arm as he chuckles. “It’ll be my first game playing as starting Seeker and it’s going to be hard going up against someone as naturally as talented and athletic like you are,” you massage his ego.
This makes Harry blush a deep shade of crimson. “That’s, erm, that’s very kind of you to say,” he clears his throat. “I’m sure you’ll be brilliant.”
Harry tries to leave to enter back into the locker room, but you weren’t done with him yet. You really need to shake him up a little bit before he headed out onto the field with his team. “Do you have any tips?” you call out, making him stop in his tracks and turn back to you. “You know, for my first game out there? I can get,” you take a step towards him, hands brushing, inches apart from each other, “very distracted.”
You nibble on your lower lip, batting your eyes at him as Harry’s eyes widen and his cheeks flush. He gulps and inhales a shaky breath. “I’ve got tips,” he nods his head wildly. “Um,” he stutters, trying to think of something to say as he notices how close you were to him, him trying desperately trying to show restraint from closing the gap in between you two. “Listen to your captain, don’t think too much, and, erm, have fun.”
Smirking, you reply, “Good to know. Thanks, Potter. See you on the field.” You plant a swift kiss to his left cheek, sending him a wink before walking away abruptly, leaving Harry a confused mess as he watched you return back to your locker rom. “Alright,” you huff when you return, everyones’ eyes on you. “Consider the seed planted. Let’s play.”
------
There you were, sat on your broom, eyes laser focused alongside the rest of your team. You felt ready. Victory could very easily belong to Ravenclaw today. As you looked around, all of your teammates gave each other encouraging smiles and thumbs up. You felt great. You did let your eyes glance over to Gryffindor and you snuck a peak at Potter, who looked a bit unsettled. He was cute when he was flustered. You watched as Ginny Weasley asked him if he was alright, you giggling to yourself as Harry looked at you and then looked immediately away when your eyes met. He was distracted. Just like you wanted him to be.
The whistle blew and off you went, zipping through the field. You were a woman on a mission. Get the golden snitch and end this game as simply as possible.
You came to a halt, sitting on your broom still for a moment, as you lost sight of the snitch. “Where’d you go now, eh?” you say to yourself. Not far behind you is Harry, him also losing sight of the snitch. “Look who decided to join the fun,” you tease. Harry tries to ignore your comment keeping your head in the game. “Not never nice to ignore people, Potter. They may end up helping you when you most need it,” you wiggle your brows before the snitch zips past you both.
The two of you look at each other and the dart after the golden snitch which flies at an unearthly pace. You had never flown this fast in your whole life. You and Harry are riding side by side now, him glancing over at you every once in awhile making you laugh, “Eyes on the prize, Potter?” you tease.
“You wish,” Harry teases back before you dash in front of him, cutting him off sharply. “You know more than you let on about, huh,” he refers to your quick and smart quidditch playing.
Shrugging, you retort, “A lady never tells her secrets.” Harry has now cut you off before taking a sharp left, following the snitch outside of the arena. “Merlin,” you breathe as you follow the Gryffindor, not too far behind. Why not have a little fun? you think to yourself. You bump your broom into Harry’s, earning you a look as you laugh. “Loosen up, Potter. It suits you.”
With that, you follow the snitch, taking lead, veering left and right around the arena. You are gaining speed, and you hear below you that Ravenclaw is in the lead by 10 points. You smile to yourself. Victory was so close. It was just in your reach. The snitch was going to be yours.
As you think of victory, Potter has a final trick up his sleeve. Below you, Potter flies, cutting you off sharply, making you veer right so you don’t crash into him. You groan in annoyance. Now he was taking the lead as you tried to catch up to him, but it was far too late.
In one swift motion, Potter grabbed the golden snitch right from the air and the game was over. Without even looking at you, Harry flies back down to his cheering teammates as you silently curse. Disappointed, you fly down to your team who you give apologetic smiles to. They’re disappointed, but not angry with you at all. “You gave it your best shot, (Y/N), and it was a valiant attempt. Especially since it was against Potter,” Roger gives you a side hug as you smile. “You still did brilliantly.”
“Thanks, everyone,” you sigh. “Even though we didn’t win, I’m still ready to go back to the common room. I heard there’s still some leftover fire whisky from last week’s win,” you suggest as everyone laughs and cheers.
Walking back with your team, you think did I just waste that time flirting with Potter for a whole lot of nothing? Before you answer your own question, a voice from behind you speaks up, “(Y/N)!”
You turn around and see Harry jogging to catch up with you. You tell your teammates you’ll meet them inside, earning a few ooohs from a few. “Hi,” you smile.
Harry fixes his glasses on the bridge of his nose, scratching the back of his head before mustering up the courage to do what he was about to do. “I, um, just wanted to say good game,” he chickens out. You sigh, knowing that he wouldn’t do what you hoped he would. You nod your head and turn back around. “Wait!” he stops you before you can go. You raise your brows as if to say Yes? “I, erm...” he trails off. Just do it, Harry. “I was wondering if you’d like to go out with me...sometime soon. Whenever you are free. I know you’re busy, but I figured I would ask...just in case. But if you don’t want to that’s perfectly fine as well.”
You can’t help but giggle at his rambling which in turn makes him smile. “That sounds nice, Harry. I’d really like that,” you admit with a blush.
“Brilliant,” he beams. “Fantastic. Um, how does this Friday sound?”
“Meet me at seven in the Ravenclaw common room,” you tell him before trotting off with a small smile on your lips.
You may have not won the game, but you just won something so much better.

~U m b r e l l a A c a d e m y~ FivexReader: “Stakeout” (Part 1)
IMAGINE: After discovering the apocalypse and getting transported back into the present, Five and (y/n) make it their mission to stop the doomsday clock and save not only their family, but the entirety of the world as they know it.
No ever thought anything like this would ever happen. Everyone assumed the other was content with the lives they were forced to live. Well, everyone except Five. He was very secretive or quiet with his hate for this lifestyle. It started off as a regular day in the Hargreeves residence.
Mother had just finished making breakfast as she rang the bell and all 8 of us raced down the stairs to see who could try and get to their assigned seat first. Of course we couldn’t sit down yet- we had to wait until our father sat down. He would then nod his head, giving us the green light.
Things were going as good as anything can get there. Breakfast was good. The usually smell of eggs and bacon was almost comforting. Until Five decided enough was enough. He slammed his knife into the table, causing the bottom of it to stick straight up.
All of our eyes went wide. Well, everyone’s except mine. I just slouched back in my chair and rolled my eyes. Even 15 year old me was fed up with Five’s shenanigans.
Me and Five were very close. Closer with each other than we were with anyone else in the family. Me, being Number 8, always got picked on for being the last number. But Five would always tell me I had the coolest powers to cheer me up. I had telekinetic powers.
There was this “unspoken thing” between me and Five as Klaus would call it- We were also pretty close with him.
Me and Five liked each other, as more than friends of course. But it was forbidden. It was our fathers rule to “keep it professional” even though we were only kids. That’s one reason why Allison and Luther’s relationship never went anywhere.
The other reason being they were both too shy to admit their feelings. Whereas Five, a person with no filter whatsoever, used to tell me all the time. He told me everything and anything. Five used to slip notes under my door, telling me to meet him after hours.
When everyone was asleep I would open his door to find him waiting for me on his bed, wearing a plain white t-shirt and gray sweatpants, just like the rest of us (Father picked those outfits out as well).
We would lay on our backs side by side on his decent sized mattress and talk about anything that came to mind. Sometimes he would say to me, “I wish we could be together,” as if telling someone you liked them was as simple as telling someone about their day.
But that’s what I liked about him. He was open. Honest. Because we told each other everything, he would always rant to me about how father won’t let him time travel.
So I knew the moment he stood in front of the upright knife with his fist clenched, he was angry about just that.
“Number Five?”
“I have a question.”
Father continued to eat his breakfast as if this were a normal, everyday thing. But it wasn’t. “Knowledge is an admirable goal, but you know the rules. No talking during mealtimes. You are interrupting Herr Carlson.” Five rolled his eyes and responded sternly, “I want to time travel.”
“No.”
“But I’m ready! I’ve been practicing my spatial jumps, just like you said!” Five then proceeded to teleport from his seat, over to the right side of fathers chair. “See?”
Father sighed and took the fork of eggs away from his mouth as he began to lecture Five. “A spatial jump is trivial when compared with the unknowns of time travel. One is like sliding along the ice, the other is akin to descending blindly into the depths of the freezing water and reappearing as an acorn.”
“Well I don’t get it.”
“Hence the reason you're not ready.” Father stated as he took a sip of his grape wine.
Five looked over to me, his angered look immediately going soft. I shook my head, trying to tell him not to go any further. He looked like he was actually considering it, but the moment he looked away, all considerations faded.
“I’m not afraid.”
“Fear isn’t the issue. The effects it might have on your body, even on your mind, are far too unpredictable.” Father then threw his utensils onto his plate making them clatter loudly and he faced Five and yelled, “Now I forbid you to talk about this anymore!”
Five gave me one last look, almost like he was apologizing for something, and then ran off, causing all heads to turn.
“Number Five! You haven’t been excused!”
Of course Five didn’t listen. Why would he listen to our so-called father who didn’t even bother to give us real names, only numbers? But maybe he’ll listen to me. Without thinking, or waiting for consent, I got up from my seat and ran after him.
“Number 8!”
After yelling his name over and over again, Five finally turned around, his cheeks red with anger. “Five, where are you going?”
“Away.”
“What do you mean ‘away’? You're just gonna leave everything?” Five didn’t answer.
“You-“ I began to try and speak again but my voice was breaking. I can’t let him see me like this. I cleared my throat and tried again. “You’re just going to leave me?”
Five’s eyes moved from his untied shoelace to my eyes. His gaze softened again and he slowly reached out for my hand.
“I’m sorry. You didn’t deserve this.”
And then it happened. It’s kind of all a blur really. All I remember is him letting go of my hand and the blue light surrounding him.
I desperately reached out to grab his hand but all I could touch was the sleeve of his uniform. And before I knew it, I had time traveled into the future with him. Every building was crumbled and in ruins.
There were occasional fires here and there. After finding all of our family dead, the only evidence we found was an eye that Luther's dead corpse was holding in his hand. We spent 30 years together in that shithole.
At first it was hell. He was mad at me for being there because it “wasn’t safe” and “I should be at home”. I was just trying to stop him from making decisions that he insisted WEREN’T stupid. Look where that got us.
Eventually we met Dolores. She’s the only friend me and Five ever had. Especially when you grow up as a “baby superhero” as Diego would call us. We never went to school, birthday parties, play dates.
We lived a life that was far from normal, so we were very thankful for Dolores. Eventually me and Five made up, started dating even.
43 years later, Five then made an equation to help us time travel back home and even after Dolores told him a million times that his equation was inaccurate he still used it anyway, causing me and him to go back to recent times.... but in our 15 year old bodies.
After reuniting with our family and almost getting murdered by some of Five’s old co-workers, we are now trying to figure out who the eye belongs to so we can try to stop the apocalypse from destroying our world and everyone in it.
—————————————————————
“I knew this was a waste of time. I mean what did I expect her to do? Help us?” (y/n) and Five walked away from Vanya’s apartment complex.
They had tried telling her about the apocalypse and where the couple had been for the past 16 years, thinking she was the only one they could trust, but it was too much information for her to handle. She didn’t even know how to respond to them.
“Well, Five, how did you expect her to respond? Did you think she was going to understand everything immediately? We’ve been gone for the past, what, 16 years? For them at least. For us it was 43.”
“I understand that, but you’d think she would have something to say or questions at least!” (y/n) nodded in agreement. “Let’s just go to the laboratory and find out who this eye belongs to.”
Five nodded as well and grabbed her hand. He then teleported them to the front steps of the laboratory. (y/n) let go of his hand and began to walk up the steps, but he pulled her back and wrapped his hand around hers as he tried to keep his eyes forward and act normal.
Even though every touch, although some small, makes his heart beat 10 times faster and the heat to rise to his cheeks. (y/n) just giggled and kissed his cheek, that soon began to turn a slight shade of pink.
They walked through the doors, hand in hand, with hopeful smiles on their faces.
—————————————————————
“What. An. Idiot.” Five said angrily as he stomped down the steps. (y/n) and Five had attempted to ask the guy for the name of the owner of the eye, but he insisted that he could not give out that information. And when the man looked me up and down, Five got a little violent and they called security.
“Well maybe if you hadn't threatened to ram the guy's head into the wall, we probably would’ve actually gotten somewhere.” (y/n) stayed as she sat on the steps and watched as Five paced back and forth, attempting to think of another plan.
“Wha- i- He was looking at you in a way that no older man should be looking at a 15 year old!” Five shouted pointing toward the doors to the lab. He then sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose instead. “Alright. Fine.
Let’s just... go with plan B.”
“Which is....?”
—————————————————————
“You want me to do what?”
“Klaus, please! This is important!” (y/n) said, folding her hands like she’s begging.
“So you want me... to go to this laboratory.... and pretend to be your dad so you can, what, find the name of the person who owns an eyeball that you found in the future?”
Five and (y/n) shared a look and shrugged. “Yes...?” After a moment of silence Klaus finally spoke up. “I’m too sober for this. I am NOT going to do this.”
—————————————————————
“I can’t believe I’m doing this.” Klaus said frustratedly as he, Five, and (y/n) walked down the familiar hallways of the laboratory. “You’ll do anything that involves you getting paid, won’t you?” Five snapped. “Hey 20 bucks is a great deal don’t you think?” Klaus turned to (y/n) and she shrugged then nodded her head.
They eventually made it to Mr. Big’s office, which was the same guy Five threatened. “I’m sorry but without the client’s consent, I simply can’t help you.” Five stood up and angrily responded, “Well we can’t get consent if you don’t give us a name.”
“Well that’s not my problem. Sorry now there’s really nothing I can do, so-“ Before the guy could finish, Klaus interrupted. “And what about my consent?”
“Excuse me?” My. Big’s replied confused. “Who gave you permission... to lay your hands... on my children?” He began to fake cry as me and Five looked at each other, and then at Klaus with a confused look. “Wha- I’m sorry?”
“You heard me.”
“I didn’t touch your children!”
“Oh really? Then how did my son get that swollen lip then?” Klaus stands up and faces Five. “He doesn’t have a swollen-“ Klaus brings his arm back and punches Five hard in the mouth. (y/n) gasps, but doesn’t move from her seat, trying her best to play along with whatever it was Klaus was doing.
Five touched his hand to his mouth, looking at the blood on it. He looked like he was going to kill Klaus right then and there. “And as for my daughter!” Klaus began to look at me with his arm pulled back, ready to hit, but before it reached her face (y/n) grabbed his fist and yanked it forward so his face was close to hers and she whispered, “Touch me, and I’ll kick your *ss.” Klaus just smiled and backed away.
“What about your daughter?” Klaus looked at me with a smirk and I began to fake cry. “H-He touched me! He tried to rape me!” Five smirked as well as he wrapped an arm around my waist and Klaus laughed with joy.
“You guys are crazy.”
“You have no idea.” (y/n) replied chuckling slightly. Everyone watched as Klaus picked up a snow globe that was sitting on the man's desk and he read it. “‘Peace on earth.’ That's so sweet.” He then smashed it onto his head causing it to shatter and his head to bleed. I jumped slightly at the noise and Five’s grip on my waist tightened as if to reassure me it’s ok.
“God that hurt.” Klaus groaned. When the guy reached for the phone on his desk and typed in a number, most likely security again, Klaus took it out of his hands and held it up to his ear. “There’s been an assault...” he “cried”, “in Mr. Bigs office and we need security, now. Schnell!” He yelled then threw the phone down and shook his head to try and make the blurry vision go away.
“Now here’s what’s gonna happen Grant.”
“I-It’s Lance... actually.”
“In about 60 seconds, two security guards are gonna burst through that door, and they’re gonna see a whole lot of blood and a distraught little girl, and they’re gonna wonder ‘What the hell happened?’” Five looked me up and down, smirked, then looked over to the man. “And we’re gonna tell them that you... beat the shit out of us and RAPED our little girl!” Klaus continued to fake cry but it turned into a laugh when he saw the man's terrified expression.
“You're gonna do great in prison, Grant. Trust me, I’ve been there.” Lance just gave him a weird look but Klaus continued. “Little piece of chicken like you. Oh my god you're gonna get passed around like a......” he tried to think of something to say but couldn’t do he just brushed it off.
“You’re just- you're gonna do great. That’s all I’m saying.”
“Jesus, you’re a real sick bastard.” Lance replies.
Klaus’ face went stone cold as he responded, “Thank you.” And spit a piece of glass from his mouth. (y/n) walks over to his desk and leans down close to his face, to where her slightly unbuttoned uniform shows her cleavage. She reaches her hand past him, resting her arm on his shoulder, as she tries to reach the small drawer behind him to get a lollipop.
She can hear his unsteady breathing which makes her want to throw up, because he’s actually somewhat liking this 15 year old girl seducing him, but also smirk because her plan is working.
Her fingers finally wrap around a lollipop and she whispers with a smile, “It’s a pleasure doing business with you.” She pulls back, unwraps the lollipop and puts it in her mouth. She then throws the wrapper onto Lance and walks out of the room with a sway of her hips. Five stared at her in awe and Klaus winked at the guy.
Finally, Lance took them to where all of the files are. Five stood in front of the desk, Klaus sat on the other side, facing Lance and all the files, and (y/n) propped her elbows up on the end of the desk, her chin resting on one of her fists as she watched the man as he searched through the drawer.
“That’s strange.”
“What?” Five demands.
“Well, the eye hasn’t been purchased yet.”
“That is strange.” Klaus says standing up and circling Lance to make him nervous.
“This can't be right. It hasn’t even been manufactured yet. Where did you get that eye?” He asks looking up from his files and at Five.
He just shakes his head.
—————————————————————
“Well this is not good.” (y/n) says as the three of them walk back down the steps of the lab. “I was pretty good, though, right? ‘Oh ya? What about my consent bitch?’” Klaus laughed, trying to re-enact the scene from earlier.
“Klaus, it doesn’t matter.”
He just rolls his eyes and responds, “What’s the deal with this eye anyway? Why is it so important to you?”
“Someone out there is going to lose an eye in the next seven days.” (y/n) responds as Five finishes.
“Exactly. They’re gonna bring about the end of life on this earth as we know it.”
Klaus was listening, but didn't really understand what it meant. He didn’t try to understand because he doesn’t really care. He just wants his money.
“Yeah whatever. Hey, can I just get my 20 bucks, like, now?”
“Your 20 bucks?” (y/n) asked as Five rolls his eyes.
“Yeah my 20 bucks.”
“Unbelievable. I give up.” She throws up her arms and walks back to the steps and sits down. She rests her elbows on her knees and her chin rests on one hand while the other hand holds her unfinished lollipop.
“The apocalypse is coming, and all you can think about is getting high?” Five snaps. “Well I’m also quite hungry.” Klaus rubs his stomach then makes a growling noise. “You're useless.” Five shakes his head and walks over to (y/n), sitting next to her and stretching his legs out in front of him.
“Oh come on. You need to lighten up, old man.” Five signs and grabs (y/n)’s free hand, placing their intertwined hands in his lap and gently rubbing her hand with his other. “Hey you know, I’ve just realized why you're so uptight. You must be horny as hell!” Klaus laughs as if he’s just discovered a new scientific discovery.
(y/n) and Five just look at him and then continue on with what they’re doing. “All those years by yourself. It’s gotta screw with your head being alone.”
“I wasn’t alone. I had (y/n).” (y/n) smiles a little and stares down at their hands. “Perfect! Well why don’t y’all get together and... we’ll ya know!”
“You know what? Your right Klaus.”
“I-I am?”
“He is?” (y/n) asks, standing up with Klaus. “Of course he’s right. He’s always right. Well, we best be on our way then!” Five grabs (y/n)’s hand and pulls her towards the road, leaving Klaus there with a surprised look on his face. “Hope you don’t mind if we use your bed! Thanks!”
“Wait... what?!” But before Klaus could say anything else Five teleports himself and (y/n) into a taxi. “Wait no! Not my bed! Also I need my 20 bucks!” Klaus yells, running after the car. (y/n) just rolls up the window and waves as Five pulled her into his lap and kisses her jaw, then her neck, then her collar bone, and goes back up.
“Was it true what you said?” (y/n) asked, smirking. “Not entirely.”
“Oh? How so?”
“Well, for starters, I wouldn’t say that I’m not horny but....”
“Mhm. And...?”
“And that is NOT the reason why I’m ‘uptight’.” Five says pouting a little. (y/n) just laughed and they continued to kiss. When they were completely out of sight, Klaus ran his hands through his hair.
“Shit.”

Exceptions
Request: Hi was wondering if you could write for draco about the song expectations by Lauren jauregui and it’s really angst and they fight for awhile but then after awhile they kind of break and have really angry sex where draco is 10x more son then normal and after there laying in dracos bed and there cuddle together y/n wearing dracos shirt and he apologises or something and it ends in fluff if your comfortable with that thanks also love your work 🥰🥰
Tysm for the request love, hope this fits what you had in mind🖤🖤 GUYS I ALSO NEDD TUMBLR fan girl friends message me ily
Warnings: smut! Toxic Draco and relationship ;)) not proof read sowwy..
Y/N and Draco had been dating for almost a year, things started out sweet. Not to mention, you were the Syltherin Princess and Prince. You were the same. Short tempered and mildly crazy. Crazy for each other.
•••
Another day passed where Draco decided to not walk with you to dinner in the great hall. It had been three days now and you had quite enough. You stormed into the great hall smoke almost coming out of your ears when you saw the pug faced girl getting comfy on your boyfriends lap.
When you approached the ignorant blonde you tapped his shoulder and crossed your arms.
“What.. is this.” You said in an almost too calm manner.
Draco just smirked as Pansy chimed in,
“Y/N! There you are, Draco was just showing me.. well just showing me his charms homework..” she giggled
“If you know what’s good for you Draco.. I expect to you see in the hall in 3 seconds.” You seethed.
Draco didn’t budge, almost pretending as if he didn’t hear you. Making a turn on your heels you stormed out.
•••
You finally entered your dorm angrily ripping off your school clothes and plopping onto the bed.
Up in bed, all alone
Wondering where you've been
‘He will come crawling back, he will make it up to me’ you told yourself for comfort. The hours came and went as you weren’t even close to dozing off.
I've already been through about seven scenarios
And it happens every time
Wish I had no expectations
•••
The next day you were determined to put that blonde in his place. You walked through the corridors looking for Draco. You caught a quick glimpse of him rounding a corner with his goons.
“Malfoy!” You shouted
He snapped his head around. You stood in front of him red faced ready to lose it.
“Ooo!” Grabbe said
“Want to tell me what the bloody hell is going on here! You have been spending an awful lot of time with that whore, and I’m not sure I’m comfortable with it!” You said almost shouting now.
He stood smirking, slowly walked closer to you so you were nose to nose.
“And what are you going to do about it? Huh? Princess.” He said darkly into your ear which shot shivers down your spine.
Crabbe’s laughing was soon cut off when you opened your hand and sent it right to his cheek.
Dracos jaw fell in shock as he put his hand to hus cheek where it was now turning a light red shade.
“You’re bloody crazy, we’re done.” He growled turning away. You stood there still as tears rolled down your face.
I really wish we could talk about it instead
All these tears that I cry while I'm turned to the side
•••
A week. Two weeks. That day replayed in your head. You hadn’t spoken a word to Draco, not even in your shared classes. He seemed fine like it never happened. But inside you were crumbling, missing the feeling of him on your skin.
And you haven't once thought of me
You sat with Blaze in the dining hall during dinner eyeing Draco in the corner of your eye, seated with his friends just to the right of you.
“Cheer up, he can’t be THAT good in bed” Blazed laughed
“Yano..” you started a little louder
“You’re right. Draco wasn’t that good In bed at all, In fact I had no expectations going to bed with him.” You chirped
Blazing eyes went wide as he looked up a little over your head.
“Get up. Now” a demanding dark voice came from behind.
“Draco I..” you started but you were yanked from your seat and dragged out of the hall.
•••
You were now standing at the door of his prefect room. You were almost shaking with anxiety as you both stepped in. He turned his back to you and began to pace.
“Not that good in bed yeah princess?” He said darkly turning to you, eyes filled with rage and lust as he slammed you against the wall.
“I’m here to remind you, just how good I can make you feel. You’d like that wouldn’t you?” He said tilting your head up with his finger.
“Y-yes” you said softly.
“Strip.” He demanded motioning to your clothes. He sat down in his chair watching as your stripped, now standing naked in front of him as he dropped his pants and underwear.
“Maybe you need to be taught.. how to behave.” He grabbed you, roughly backing you into his bed. You gasped as he took your legs over his head, spreading them. Then grabbed your neck roughly making you look him in the eyes.
“So wet for me already princess... too wet for not excepting. Such a needy slut.” He hissed grabbing your cheeks and spit in your mouth then smirked gathering your wetness with his tip.
“Draco I need you now!” You breathed, as He stood up and smirked down at you making you feel so small.
“As you wish.” he said pushing into you roughly, letting his dick sink into your pussy as you threw your head back in moans mixed with pain and pleasure. He didn’t let you adjust to his size and he began thrusting deep into you. He began to snap his hips into you faster and deeper as his name was all you could manage to spill out in between moans. He grabbed your hips roughly bruising them and pressing his nails into your soft skin.
“So. Pathetic.” He rolled his hips into you harder and deeper hitting your g spot each time and reaching down to press his thumb onto you clit making slow circles. You screamed his name over and over as you saw stars reaching your high.
“Ya? Who’s making you feel good, so desperate. My little whore” He chuckled darkly as you screamed, tears pricking your eyes. His thrusts soon became sloppy, his orgasm trailing right behind you as he slapped your ass over and over leaving bright red hand prints. He released into you and slowed his thrusts riding out his high.
Dracos lazy body collapsed next to you pulling you close kissing the your back softly.
“Y/N, I’m sorry.. please forgive me. I don’t deserve you but I need you princess.” He whispered as you melted into his touch.
“You drive me crazy, but love you Draco.” You giggled softly
He reached around you and wrapped his jersey with ‘MALFOY’ printed on the back.
“Here keep it.” He said pulling you back in close.
But I expect, you expect, we expect

A New Way Of Life
Life In Lockdown Series Masterlist
Poe Dameron x F!Reader
Summary - As the reality of working from home sets in, you and your friends have to learn to work around one another, whilst also finding things to relax you to make evenings with your friends a lot of fun.
Warnings - Mentions of covid
Word Count - 2090
Week 1 – March 2020
The first few days of lockdown were a challenge. Trying to get in touch with people from work was proving more difficult than you’d first thought. You were getting easily distracted as well. BeeBee spent his time going between Poe in the dining room and you in the living room, the open plan nature basically making it a massive room for him to wander around in. Anytime he came near you, you couldn’t resist picking him up for snuggles. Poe was a distraction too, he liked to sing to himself as he worked and the sound of his voice was distracting you from whatever work you were doing. After reading the same line of an email 4 times you decided to take a break, you headed to the kitchen and started up the coffee machine. BeeBee followed you, deciding to have his own drink break with his bowl of water. Rose appeared in the kitchen whilst you were waiting for your coffee to be done.
“How’s it going?” she asked
“It’s a lot more challenging than I thought. Everything is distracting me!”
“Me too” she replied “And most people aren’t picking up calls today because they’ve all obviously had to close their offices as well”
“I can’t get hold of management” you replied “And BeeBee keeps wanting attention and he’s so cute I always give in! We should put a smart watch on him. He’s probably done 10000 steps walking between Poe and I”
“How’s Poe as a colleague?”
“Distracting, he keeps singing”
“He’s a good singer, could be worse” Rose chuckled
“Yeah he’s great but my mind just hears singing and thinks it’s done with work” you replied “Have you heard anything from Finn?”
“No, the doors been closed all morning. I don’t think he even came out for a break”
“Hopefully it’s going alright for him”
“Why don’t we do something tonight” Rose said “We’re all having weird days so maybe we could plan fun things in the evenings”
“What do you have in mind?”
“Movie night tonight” she replied “We can make dinner then watch a bunch of movies. We can plan other things for other evenings”
“I’m in” you replied “It’ll be nice to have something to look forward to”
“What are we looking forward to?” Poe asked as he joined you in the kitchen
“Oh, Rose was just saying we should plan fun things to do in the evenings, starting with movie night tonight”
“Sounds great. This working remotely thing is really not fun”
“BeeBee likes it” you smiled “He’s enjoying going between us”
“Well as long as the best boy is happy then we all are” Poe chuckled, leaning down to scoop the dog into his arms “You’re the best little buddy aren’t you”
“So cute!” Rose whispered
Rose’s idea for a movie night was just what everyone needed after the first day of the strange new reality the world found itself in. The 4 of you picked a movie each, the genres ranged from musicals, to Disney, to action and finally horror. You didn’t hate horror movies but they would never be your first choice. BeeBee who had taken residence in your lap for movie night suddenly found himself being hugged a lot tighter than previously. Rose and Finn were sat on one sofa all cuddled up, Rose had a blanket over her head and Finn was chuckling at her anytime she jumped at the scares from the movie. Poe and you were sat on the opposite side of the room. A blanket covered your legs, which were crossed underneath you. Poe was stretched out, his feet hanging off the end of the sofa and his head rested on a pillow a few inches away from you. He sat up when you jumped at one particularly bad jump scare.
“Hey, you alright?” he whispered
“Just not really my kind of movie” you replied
“Me neither, but Finn loves them so I’ve got used to them! I can hold your hand if you want”
“Thank you, but I’ll be fine. It’s just a stupid movie right?”
“Right” Poe smiled, he sat up and moved closer to you “Just incase anyone tries to grab you, I’ll not let them”
The sun decided to make an appearance on the 3rd and 4th days of lockdown. It wasn't tropical temperatures or anything but you could get away with being in the garden as long as you had a hoodie on. Rose was completely snowed under at work and you rarely saw Finn apart from lunch. Poe’s boss had taken pity on them all after a stressful few days and given them the Friday as a day off. You could see him sat in the garden with BeeBee whilst you worked. It was approaching 12.00 and you were slowly losing the will to live. You managed to push through until 1pm when you were ready for lunch. Your boss emailed to give everyone the afternoon off so you made your lunch, pulled a hoodie on and headed out to the garden to join Poe. As soon as the sun hit your skin, you instantly felt relaxed. It had been a strange week and you were grateful to be able to start your weekend a few hours early. You grabbed one of the garden chairs and moved it over next to Poe.
“Happy weekend” he said as you sat down
“It’s been the weirdest week in the entire world. I’m so glad we made it to the weekend”
“Me too, and I’m really glad you got an early finish. Bee isn’t the best conversation holder” he winked
“He’s cute though, he gets points for that at least!”
“That goes without saying”
The dog must’ve known he was being spoken about. He got up from his place in the shade to come and get some attention.
“Wanna take him a walk with me later?” Poe asked “The ice cream kiosk in the park is open, we could get something there, and it would be nice to have some company”
“Yeah, that sounds good”
Finn and Rose were still upstairs working when it came time for BeeBee’s walk. You texted Rose to tell her you’d gone with Poe. The park was beautiful in the sun, you couldn’t remember the last time you’d actually visited it. It was only a 10 minute walk away from the house but you didn't really have a reason to go to it. There were families out on walks, people on their own, people with dogs. Everyone was out enjoying the weather and taking their one form of daily outdoor exercise. You chuckled as BeeBee tried to make friends with every other dog and human he came across, his little tail wagging the entire time. Poe led you over to the ice cream kiosk he had mentioned; there was a long socially distanced queue.
“You keep an eye on Bee and I’ll get us some ice cream” he smiled “There’s a bench just round the back of this kiosk, nobody ever sits at it but it’s at a really good bit for Bee to run around. I’ll come and get you once I get the ice cream”
You nodded and made your way round to the bench Poe had mentioned. Like he said, the area was quiet; there was one woman with a dog that you’d seen earlier on, BeeBee and her dog had sniffed one another when you'd walked passed her just after walking into the park. You took the ball you’d lifted before leaving the house out of your pocket and threw it for the little dog. He happily chased after it, always bringing it back. He set it down for a second to talk to the woman who was stood at the other side of the grass, her dog spotted it’s opportunity and grabbed it. The woman chased after her dog and eventually got the ball back. She walked over to the bench and stood far enough away from where you were, but close enough to lay the ball down.
“Sorry about that, he’s terrible for stealing from other dogs”
You chuckled “It’s not a problem, it’s this ones fault for trying to be too sociable”
She smiled “Your dog is so cute!”
“He is cute, but sadly he’s not mine. I have to give him back”
“Ah, he’s your boyfriends. The guy you were walking with earlier”
You could feel yourself blushing “Em, yeah he belongs to him, but he’s not my boyfriend. Just a friend and lockdown house mate”
“Oh, I’m sorry I just assumed” she replied “You guys looked liked a super cute couple when I spotted you earlier”
“It’s fine” you replied with a shrug.
You wished he was your boyfriend, you’d had a crush on the man since the first day you met him. The two of you had clicked right away when Ben had introduced you. Him and Poe had been classmates that didn’t keep in touch, you vaguely remembered seeing Poe at your brothers birthday parties when you were kids but nobody paid you much attention back then because they were all older and you were the annoying little sister of their friend. Poe and Ben had met back up again when Ben became a client of Poe’s work. You were introduced to Poe when Ben and Rey got engaged and had a party. You’d later found out you had a mutual friend in Finn and the 3 of you started to hang out. You’d known Finn since high school, you never went to the same school but you both had a part time job at a local café. Finding out Poe was Finn’s best friend and roommate made you re-connect with Finn. You’d kept in touch on social media for years but didn’t really spend a lot of time together so through Poe that all changed. When you’d introduced Finn and Rose it had been love at first sight. The 4 of you could be found hanging out on a regular basis; everyone always assumed it was a double date because of how close you and Poe were. He was a touchy, feely guy. He would often be found with his arm round your shoulders, his hand on your back when you were walking anywhere with him. You loved it but also hated it because you always wanted more. The reason you had never mentioned anything was because you were scared he wouldn’t feel the same and you didn’t want such a good friendship to fall apart if you told him and made things awkward. Rose knew, but she promised she wouldn't tell Poe.
BeeBee and the other dog went back to playing together and the woman wandered back to where she had originally been stood. You took a few photos on your phone and uploaded them to social media. Everyone needed a boost during the weird times you were in and you thought there was no better way to cheer people up than photos of cute dogs. After what felt like hours, Poe finally came to join you. He handed you a small tub of ice cream and a slushie.
“Man are they busy” he said, flopping down next to you on the bench “Did Bee behave?”
“He did, that dog he’s playing with stole his ball but they’re on friendly terms now”
“That’s good news” Poe chuckled
The two of you sat and enjoyed your ice creams, the weather and one another’s company. When you were ready to head back home Poe phoned Finn, the local takeaways were open for delivery and Poe decided it was too nice a night for anyone to be cooking. The evening was spent eating as much pizza as you could and watching videos on YouTube. Finn was really into the ones exploring abandoned places and you all fell down a rabbit hole of watching video after video. Rose fell asleep first, and you soon followed. Eventually leaning over and falling onto Poe’s shoulder. Poe and Finn smiled at one another. You had all survived a crazy week, you’d had to adapt to an all new way of life and there had been some hiccups but overall you’d all coped. You were thankfully all healthy, and you had good company and were surrounded by your best friends. Life was far from perfect but both of them knew that things could be a lot worse, and that worldwide things would get worse before they improved.
So once again please let me know what you thought, I want to get better as a writer and I can only do that with your help. Thank you for all of the kind comments one the last part, they really made me smile! <3

HINAYACHI NATION WE RISE!!! [ read here: we make a sunset, you and i ]
Summary: Yachi loves highlighters. They're perfect for when she's taking notes. But her one orange highlighter just doesn't sit right. It's not the right shade of orange. And she can't really place what shade she's looking for until she spots Hinata. And when she does, she thinks:Yes, that's it. That's the perfect shade.
CAN ALSO BE READ DOWN BELOW!
Yachi loved highlighters.
Especially the pastel kind! They were the right shade of pink and blue and purple and yellow. A soft brightness that sat well on her paper when she dragged the felt tip across a certain word to make it pop.
She’d always been into color coding her notes. Colors were a great way to organize things. Blue for definitions. Greens for important takeaways. Pinks for material that will definitely be tested on an exam. Colors made sense.
Every so often she’d start vibing with a certain color. Some days her reading notes were more baby pink than sky blue. Or dewy green compared to lilac purple. Now, she found herself leaning towards her orange highlighter more. Though she quickly discovered, as she highlighted her notes in class and frowned deeply when the shade of orange wasn’t dark enough, that the shade simply wasn’t… right.
“Yachi!”
Yachi looked up from her notes. Hinata sat in the chair in front of her desk, resting his elbows on her desk. The sun was streaming boldly through the window, illuminating Hinata’s face and making his hair extra prominent in Yachi’s eyes. A fiery mass of orange. So bright you could never miss it.
That’s the right shade , she thought. Looking down at her orange highlighter that paled in comparison. If she could find a highlighter like Hinata’s hair. She’d be golden. Or, ha, orange . She laughed at her own little joke. Hinata scrunched his face in return.
“Whatcha laughing at?”
“Oh! Nothing,” she kicked her feet under her desk. A soft, rosey red bloomed on her cheeks. She could never share that joke. She’d combust from the embarrassment alone. “Is everything alright, Hinata?”
“No! We have a test coming up!” Yachi couldn’t but smile despite Hinata’s clear distress. Tests were not Hinata’s strong suit in the slightest. Though he was incredibly determined with his studying-or he tried to be, Yachi would give him kudos where kudos were due.
“Ah right...” she opened up her planner. It had bright sunflowers on the front and her name engraved in white. She flipped to March’s calendar where, two weeks from now, she had circled in bright pink EXAM TODAY! “I was going to text you about when you’d like to meet and study! I already started compiling a notebook for you…”
“Really?” Hinata’s eyes widened. They were so bright, Yachi thought they could have been covered with stars. “ Yachi, you’re incredible!”
Heat rose under her cheeks. She wanted to say this was nothing special. That the word incredible shouldn’t be used for something that, to her, was the natural course of things. Of course she’d make a notebook for him. She’d been doing that for years. And she enjoyed the little rush she got when she placed the tabs just right and when she created the perfect outline that aligned with the way Hinata best broke down information.
But for Hinata to think she’s incredible, all the same, a pleasant heat pooled under her skin that mirrored the baking warmth you get sitting under the sun at the beach for a few hours.
“Oh it’s nothing, really,” she said, popping the cap of her highlighter up than clicking it down. “We can review during lunchtime? Or maybe after practice if you’re not too tired?”
They were third years now. And every time Yachi thought about how two years had passed since she joined the volleyball club, awe and a little bit of sadness washed over her. She never pictured her high school life surrounding the sport and now, she couldn’t imagine what her high school life would have been like if she hadn’t joined.
She would open her journals sometimes. The ones she kept to write down how her day went, to give gratitude, to scribble down little prayers when they popped into her mind-for good health, for a meteor to not crash into her roof, for her mother’s happiness, to maybe fall in love-and read back over what she wrote. She’d grown so much and to just see that progress was sometimes unbelievable. But in such a good way. Like watching a plant go from a bud to full bloom.
She felt like she had bloomed, or well-was in the process of blooming. And she had to thank volleyball for that. For bringing her to the people that helped her grow.
“Hmmm,” Hinata hummed. He rubbed at his nose in thought. “Let’s do it after practice! ‘Cause I can’t eat and study at the same time. I’ll be way too focused on eating. Not so much on studying, haha.”
Hinata and Yachi had grown close over the years. They’d been in the same class all three years, while Kageyama got placed in class with Yamaguchi and Tsukishima (much to Tsukishima’s unbridled annoyance and Yamaguchi’s unashamed delight). Hinata’s response made Yachi smile. She expected that to be the answer. And opened her planner so she could write down Studying with Hinata!! In her favorite blue gel pen.
“Yachi you have so many pens and pencils and highlighters. Aren’t you overwhelmed?”
She slid her gel pen back into her pencil pouch purely for gel pens. “Oh! No not at all. I like having so many colors. I find it’s fun to pick and choose which one I want to use for notes.”
“Oh yeah! They’re kind of like, a mood ring, but not really. More like, mood… coloring? Something like that!” he finished with a laugh. And if it were anyone else in the world, Yachi might have felt like they said that just to humor her. But Hinata never said something he didn’t mean. He always spoke purely, from his heart. And that always made Yachi feel comfortable being her whole self. Illuminated in the glow that was Hinata Shouyou.
I wish I could find an orange highlighter that’s the shade of his hair, she thought. “Mood coloring! Hm yeah, that makes sense! Because sometimes I really want to use a pink highlighter because I’m feeling that particular shade!” she pulled out a soft, rosey pink highlighter. The color of cotton candy and then slipped it back into the pouch. “Or sometimes I’m in a minty green kind of mood!” she pulled out another highlighter for reference.
Hinata looked at her as if she was pulling out magical wands that sparkled and created starlights at their tips. “These are the coolest colors!” he reached for her hand, their fingers brushed. And as if she were shocked, she gasped. Dropping her highlighter to the table. It clattered softly onto her open notebook. “Ah, I’m sorry Yachi.” Hinata frowned, looking apologetic.
“N-No!” she was quick to correct. He had to know that he wasn’t at fault. That the electricity generated that shocked her fingers and made her pulse quicken was a newly crafted design that had, like her blooming, steadily grown over the years to this moment. “It was just a little static shock as all! It happens, haha.” she reached for her highlighter. Her cheeks burned.
In her journals, she had started writing out a name. And sometimes, that name had a few hearts beside it.
She was terribly infatuated, she realized every time she stared down at the suddenly not so blank page covered in that name with so many hearts .
Hinata fixed her with that same look he got when he was picking someone apart and wasn’t ashamed for you to realize he was doing so. It only lasted a second. Then, he was smiling again. A slow smile, and he leaned forward, his voice softer.
“Can you show me where you get those highlighters? Maybe after school before we start studying?”
Oh goodness is this a date? Her mind conjured with a swiftness. No! Hitoka! Do not jump to such conclusions! He’s your friend-one of your best friends. It’s just a friendly thing. And sure it’s happening on a date of the week but that doesn’t mean-
“Yes!” she tapped her feet on the ground with excitement, nodding fervently. “Yes that’s perfect!”
“Great! Sounds good then!”
Hinata jumped up just as his name was called. Kageyama was at the door. Hinata pointed a finger at him. “Kageyama! You came early! I’m ready to kick your ass if you’re ready to get your ass kicked!”
“Stupid, I’m gonna win. Hi Yachi,” Kageyama waved at Yachi. Yachi beamed, waving in return. ”I’ve been stretching all morning during class. My long jump is going to beat yours hands. No. Legs down.”
Another thing Yachi had gained over the years was the ability to understand the secret language that was Hinata and Kageyama’s dynamic. Honestly, once you understood that they made a competition out of everything, filling in the gaps came easily after that.
“What’s the competition this time?” Yachi chuckled, putting her planner back into her bag.
“Kageyama and I are gonna see who has the best long jump!” Hinata explained. “I won last time but Kageyama’s a sore loser so we gotta do it again.”
“I’m not! My legs weren’t at maximum stretch, that’s all.”
“What are you, Luffy? Are you going to try and find One Piece next?” Hinata asked, running through the classroom to get to Kageyama. Waving by to the students who called out to him as he did.
The last thing Yachi heard as they left the classroom was Kageyma ask, “The fuck is a One Piece?”
/
After practice, Yachi had a routine.
First, she gathered up all the balls with the help of her volleyball players and put them all away. Then, she took down the nets and rolled them up to be carried into the practice shed. She liked to imagine they were giant pieces of dough she was rolling up for cannolis. Afterwards she liked to clean the gym floors. She didn’t have to, but she wanted to. It was a nice feeling. Getting the giant mop and pushing it through the gym, up and down. She would pretend that she was in Mario Kart and her car was a giant, turbine-powered mop that could zoom lightning fast down the track!
After she finished mopping, she would go through every single volleyball and squeeze it exactly six times (one for every letter of her name) to check the air pressure. If a volleyball was flat, she’d pump it up until it was all full and no flat. Sometimes, when she thought no one was looking (and she always checked her surroundings three times) she’d try to hit a few balls over the net. Over the years, she’d gotten better! And could not do a solid overhand serve with little to no effort. Her hand always tingled after the ball connected with her palm. But she rather liked the feeling. And she always clutched her palm tightly as if she were holding a fallen star in her hand. To make the sting hold on a little longer. To keep the moment from fading away…
She threw another volleyball up in the air. Just to feel the tingle again.
“YACHI, YOU’RE STILL HERE!”
The ball dropped onto her head, sending a brief bout of pain down her neck and spine. “GAH!” the ball bounced onto the floor two… six… eight times before it rolled all the way to Hinata’s feet. “Ow! Ow! Ah… H-Hinata?” she felt heat swarm her neck and dominated her cheeks. Aw man.. She had hoped no one would have been around!
Hinata leaned down and picked up the ball. Holding it out with one palm, grinning to himself. He walked over to Yachi and held the ball with two hands. “Sorry, didn’t mean to scare ya! Were you practicing your serve? I can receive some if you want!”
“No! No no I was just… playing around, haha.” Hinata’s receives were really something to witness though. They were beautiful in their own way. How he moved with a sharpened, feral precision to meet the ball wherever it was aimed time and time again without fail. Yachi could never tear her eyes away from Hinata once he stepped on the court.
He was her favorite player to watch.
“Ah, another time then. Are you almost done here?”
“Almost! We’re still going to the store, right?”
“Yeah! To get those highlighters you use! I wanna get like, thirty .” Hinata dropped the volleyball and started dribbling it with his knees. “Um wait. I should check my allowance first. But thirty would be nice.”
“We can do ten to start,” Yachi offered with a smile, watching Hinata play with the ball like it’s a part of him - a piece of his energy. “I already have a pack of mind.”
She hoped she could find an orange highlighter while they were out too. One that was as bright as Hinata’s hair in the late afternoon sunlight that crept into the gym through the windows. Hinata smiled at her wide and the wind got knocked out of her. Her heart clenched fiercely and when Hinata put the ball away in the ball crate beside Yachi, she inhaled sharply.
“Yachi, has anyone told you how you’re so... ?” Hinata’s not looking at her. His hands were deep in the ball crate as he put away the remaining volleyballs Yachi hadn’t finished storing yet. “What’s the word? Not just kind-which you are. But you’re so… oh!” he turned his head and it was like daybreak bloomed in that very moment. “Thoughtful. Like, the most thoughtful person I know cause you’re always considering and thinking about others-even for the smallest of things.”
The blood in Yachi roared. Her heart squeezed something terrible. Hinata was going on about how Yachi had so many thoughts about other people he wondered how anyone could ever feel lonely or forgotten when Yachi was there. To consider them and acknowledge them and give them space. He went on about how her brain must be so big because it carried so many thoughts and how her heart must be so large because it cared for people without hesitation.
“It’s why you’re such a good manager!” Hinata said with a sense of finality to his words. “All these years you’ve been taking care of us and I speak for everyone-even Kageyama but he’s shy so he’ll never admit this-when I say you’re irreplaceable. One of a kin-are you crying?”
Yachi was, in fact, crying. Hot pools of tears that were flowing down her face without stopping. “Ah! I’m crying!” She gasped. No no no. Why was she crying? No, no her tears weren’t hormones going wild. Or from her usual bout of a fifteen minute stress cry followed by a forty five minute power walk that concluded with a ten minute ice cream break after.
No, her tears were from the praises of sunlight Hinata had basked her in.
She wiped at her face furiously, sniffling as she did. Hinata was fussing. Waving his arms around wildly. His face was as red and maybe as scorched as hers felt.
“I’m sorry!!! I didn’t mean to compliment you to tears!”
“No it’s okay!!! I didn’t mean to cry from your compliments!!! They were very nice!”
“Do you need a tissue? I have a pack of two with cats on them that I use for Natsu sometimes!”
“Yes I’d like one of your packs of tissues you use for Natsu sometimes I also like cats!”
“Ok!” Hinata pulled out a pack of tissues, the ones with the cats on them, and handed them to Yachi.
She took the pack and a tissue to wipe at her eyes and blow her nose. She put the pack in one pocket and then the used tissue in the other-that she’d throw out later, of course. A beat of silence passed between them. Yachi glanced up shyly at Hinata. Hinata glanced down shyly at her.
They both bursted out in laughter.
“Let’s go to the store!” Hinata said.
Yachi nodded, “To the store!”
/
“So you use post-it notes to take notes…”
“Sometimes! Or I’ll use it for book marks or to tab important sections to go back for review.”
“Huh,” Hinata said, holding up two packs of post-it notes. One had a stack of green, orange, and yellow. Another had a stack of blue, pink and purple. “I’ve always used them to make little paper frogs.”
Yachi snorted. “Well that’s definitely a good use for it…” they had spent about an hour or so at the stationary store.
Their game plan was to buy the highlighters so they could use it for their study session. But then Hinata got distracted looking at all the notebooks with designs on the cover.
“A purple tiger! Wait, that’s Mahou Ranger Blue! WAIT A MINUTE IS THAT A COW?”
And Yachi, of course, followed along. She pointed out some of her own favorites from the stack. A sunflower cover. A panda cover. And one special notebook that you could design the front yourself that came with a small pack of markers attached.
Hinata then discovered the wonderful world of stickers and now, in the little basket Yachi had the sound mind to grab once Hinata started pulling object after object from the shelves, was filled with seven sticker packs, two notebooks, and three rolls of washi tape.
“This place is so cool…” Hinata was awestruck as he dropped the post-it note packs with orange and yellow into the basket. “Do you come here often?”
“Sometimes,” Yachi tapped her fingers on the top of her knees. “When I need to restock. Or when I need to self-care and indulge. Or uh, when I’m bored.”
Hinata nodded several times, “I don’t even know where I’m going to put all those stickers… maybe on Kageyama and have him freak out about where they came from.”
“That would be very chaotic.”
“Hehe, right! Oh yeah, the highlighters. We didn’t get the highlighters!”
“They’re over there,” Yachi pointed at the aisle with a sign saying HIGHLIGHTERS written in bright colors. “There’s a whole section for them.”
“A WHOLE section,” he sounded like a kid in a candy store who was given permission to go wild. “Let’s go!”
They went through every section of the highlighter aisle. Hinata was enamored by all the colors. “There’s ten shades of purple how is that even possible !” and “Wait this is literally the color of the sky I love this shade of blue!” and “Oh my God why would they make a highlighter that’s turd colored aren’t they ashamed? Don’t their parents love them?”
Yachi laughed so hard her sides hurt. Hinata was enjoyment incarnate. Being with him was fun, always. She never got bored or tired or felt like she had to work hard to fill in a space of silence when she was with Hinata. He made it feel like gaps were easier to fill. Like moments were more memorable. Like conversations just held more weight when Hinata Shouyou was on the other end of the line.
She kept glancing at Hinata’s hair as he tested every single highlighter he could on the test paper. The bright mound of orange that looked like untamed fire. She wondered how soft it was. If he used any special type of shampoo. If he could tie it into a pony tail now because it had grown much, much longer since they were first years. She wondered if he would let her put it into a ponytail. She wondered if the gaps between her fingers would be wide enough for his hair to slide through as she curled her hands into his hair while they-
“Yachi look!” Hinata was holding up a yellow highlighter. He put it close enough to her face and stuck out his tongue in thought. Eyes narrowed in concentration and zeroed in right on her. Making Yachi stand a little straighter. “Oh yeah… this is the perfect shade.”
“The perfect shade for what?”
“It matches your hair! This yellow, I mean.” Hinata explained. He took one of the test papers that was blank and ripped it out of the notebook. With a flick of his thumb, he uncapped the marker and drew a thick, bold line of yellow onto the page. “See? It’s just like your hair. Don’t ya think?”
Yachi’s fingers found themselves to the end of her ponytails. Pulling slightly so she could get a better look. She did a double take. Her heart skipped double beats. “Oh… it does. It does!”
“Hehehe, I’m gonna get it.” he dropped the highlighter in the basket. The only highlighter out of all the ones he tested out. “Ok. Did you find a color yet?”
“You’re only getting… this one?” Yachi’s not sure how to take that. But then, it’s Hinata. He’s simply complicated sometimes.
“Mhm. That’s the one. I like it the best.” and her mind filled in the blanks that weren’t there. Put in the puzzle pieces to fit so the conclusion was he liked that highlighter the best because it reminded him of her (hair color, her mind provided. Not you specifically. Does the distinction even matter! ).
“Ah for me… I…” slowly, she kept walking down the aisle. Hinata trailing behind her. Head turning on either side, searching and gazing until-”Oh! That one!” she pointed at an orange highlighter at the top of the shelf. She stood on her tiptoes but her fingers were a few inches short.
“Here,” Hinata was behind her. His chest to her back. His heat a warm blanket that drowned her in the fantasy of the shelves replaced by a kitchen counter and a cabinet. Their own little apartment instead of the stationary shop. Intimacy and familiarity humming between the small distance between their bodies. And Yachi would turn. Turn around and look up at Hinata and see the curve of his chin. See the slope of his collarbone that would slip into the crook of his shirt collar. And when Hinata would tilt down, and their eyes would meet, and Yachi would swoon because being so close she can drown in his scent. And she’d reach up onto her tip toes to-
“The highlighter,” Hinata’s heat was gone. The highlighter was now in her face while Hinata grinned. “My super reach was able to grab it no problems! Here ya go.”
An orange the color of Hinata’s hair. Where she could use it whenever she felt a yearning in her chest and could reach into her pencil pouch. Pull out the highlighter. And find words in one of her novels that made her heart twinge the same tune and level of longing she felt whenever she overheard Hinata’s laugh or had his smile directed at her. Her Hinata orange.
She reached out to grab the pencil. Their fingers brushed briefly. A warm spark that went right to her toes.
“Thank you,” she said, curling her fingers around the highlighter in a silent prayer before dropping it into the basket. “I’ve been looking for a shade like that for a long time. The right kind of orange!” her throat feels dry. Her chest is throbbing something horrible.
“Oh? Why’s that?”
She thought about the yellow highlighter laying underneath the orange one in her basket. How Hinata said this is perfect - because it’s like your hair. She swallowed past the nerves in her throat.
“It reminds me of… you. Your hair,” she quickly tacked on.
Hinata doesn’t move. And that put her on alarm because Hinata was always moving. His stillness was a sign of the unexpected coming.
And when it came, it stole the last remnants of her heart that was untouched by this feeling, taking control of her body and conquering it in the name of Hinata Shouyou.
His smile was bold and brilliant and bright. Wide as a watermelon. As dazzling as star bright. His face was red. Red to his cheeks and his chin and the tip of his nose-all red and covered in a blush. He laughed, and it was a little off kilter. A little high pitched in the middle but leveled off at the ends.
“Yeah?” he rubbed at the bottom of his nose. “Heh...hehe…”
“Hehe...hehehe…”
“Hehehehehehe.”
“Heheheehehhee.”

Yachi set down a tray of juice and some snacks on the table made after Hinata had pushed aside their revision materials to make space. She laughed, finding Hinata with his cheek smushed against the table. His eyebrows knitted so deeply together they’d probably become a blanket.
“Hi. Are you tired?” she asked, kneeling on her pillow.
“When I close my eyes all I see are multiplication signs and equal signs… it’s horrible!”
“Have you tried opening your eyes?”
“It’s no difference cause it’s right on the page!”
They’d been studying for a good chunk of the evening. Nearly everyday after school they’d come back to Yachi’s place to study. Their exam was at the end of the month. And they had about another week or so to prepare. Yachi, thankfully, had notebooks organized and compiled by subject and tabbed accordingly by the topic of said subject ready to go for revision. Hinata had to play catch up. But Yachi had seen this coming. So she made brief, outlined notes for Hinata that he could use as a foundation to fill in the gaps.
“Yachi…” Hinata had sniffled, clutching the review materials to his chest. “Yachi I’d die for you.”
“Please don’t!” Yachi waved her hands in front of her face frantically. “My 27th fear is being the cause of someone’s death!”
The sun sat heavy and rested in the middle of the sky. After doing four rounds of twenty-five minutes on, they now could spend thirty minutes on a break. Something Hinata was incredibly happy about reaching.
Yachi wiggled her toes in her socks, staring down at the crown of Hinata’s hair. I want to touch it.
“Is it making sense?” she asked instead.
“Mmmmm, slowly.” Hinata yawned. “I dunno if I have another twenty-five minutes in me though.”
“We did study a lot,” wiggle wiggle. “We could call it a day after we review that one problem you were struggling with?” she glanced towards her window. “So you can go home before it gets dark.”
“Ughhhhhh,” Hinata pushed himself up to a sitting position. Raising his arms high above his head. Yachi caught a bit of his stomach peaking out from under his shirt and immediately shot her gaze back to their work. “Ok. That sounds good. Teach away, Yachi!”
So she did. She broke down the problem into walkable steps. And demonstrated the method for doing so. Hinata watched with the same intensity he had when he was watching someone pull off a move before he replicated it with near perfection shortly afterwards. He followed her pen strokes. Her pointing. And when she capped her orange highlighter to make an emphasis on one of the steps, he grinned.
“Oh hey. Nice highlighter,” he reached behind him and pulled out from his back pocket his yellow highlighter. He tapped his highlighter against Yachi’s. “They look kinda cool together, don’t ya think? Like they compliment each other.”
We do, don’t we ?
“Yeah,” Yachi replied dreamily. She snapped herself back into focus, though, before her thoughts went ahead of her. “Do you want to try the problem? If you get stuck on a step you can use your highlighter to mark it.”
“Good idea!” Hinata went to work. Face molded in concentration. His shoulders hunched. The hum of Yachi’s fan played in the background to the sound of Hinata scratching his notes down. She reached out for her drink. Hoping the sweetness of the lemonade would cool her thoughts. Of how often they were alone together. How her friends were always asking Hinata-san’s going home with you again, huh? And how many times she’d laugh it off and dimississ it saying We’re just studying! We’re just friends .
Even when her heart would roar loudly in defiance: You want more. You’ve always wanted more.
But how could she?
They were graduating soon. Hinata was definitely heading into a world where their paths wouldn’t collide. Where they wouldn’t sit in adjacent rows. Where their friends weren’t down the hallways. Where they couldn’t grab lunch together and sneak out onto the roof. Hinata would surely go pro. There was no other option. And Yachi was going to college. This moment, in her room, where it’s her and Hinata and the fan buzzing and the drink in her hand with the ice slowly melting and the sun slinking lower and lower into the sky, this moment wasn’t forever. It was a finite piece of a giant vacuum that would swallow her whole at the idea that her days with Hinata were numbered.
Numbered and disappearing at an alarming rate.
“Am I right?”
Hinata’s question pulled Yachi from her thoughts. She blinked back the stinging in her eyes to glance down at his work. He had gotten it right. And her heart leapt with joy and pride at the sight.
“Yup!” she held up her hands for a double high five that Hinata returned with a holler.
“YEEEEEES!”
“Just do that for the exam if you see a problem like that and you’ll be golden.”
“I will! You made it super simple to understand and do. If you weren’t such a badass with designs I’d say you could be a really good teacher, Yachi.”
“Ah, it’s nothing-”
“Hey. Don’t do that.”
“Huh?” Yachi stopped, mid tuck of putting a hair behind her ear. Wondering when she should get another trim for her split ends. “Do... Don’t do what?”
“Put yourself down,” Hinata pressed, leaning forward until their noses were almost touching. Yachi yelped and leaned back an inch. “You do that a lot. When I hype you up you hype yourself down. That’s not good.”
She knew she had a nasty habit of doing that. Of regulating herself to Villager B position. She’d been actively trying to not do that. And being in the club helped her cultivate a garden of confidence she could pick from whenever a new one bloomed. But every so often her habit came back. Innocuous and bitter. Never letting go.
“I’m sorry.”
“Don’t apologize either,” Hinata said softly, yet there was a firm seriousness to his voice as he did.
The fan whirred on and on.
Hinata kept his gaze on Yachi. She felt sweat form in her palms. She watched as his gaze searched hers and then, for a brief second, fell to her mouth. She gasped. Her nails curling in to dig at her palms. Her eyes widening as the dangerous, mischievous idea that maybe he was considering what her mouth tasted like. Currently, she’s mad at herself for not reapplying her vanilla shea butter chapstick when she had thought about it. And currently, she considered how the humidity in her room is making her shirt stick in the most uncomfortable places. On her neck and under her arm and to her stomach.
Their noses were inches apart.
If she tilted her head, she could-
Hinata’s phone rang. The theme song of the newest Super Sentai- Mahou Ranger -blared through her room. Hinata and Yachi froze. Until Hinata cursed and got up to turn answer his phone.
“Terushima!” Hinata said upon answering. “Hello? Can I call you back? I'm in the middle of something? Huh? Wait, what? Bokuto is doing what ? Wait wait! Send pics and I’ll call you later about it! That’s epic-let him know! Ok bye!”
While he was on the phone, Yachi had a moment to ground herself. Had a moment to realize that she was, in fact, very close to having her first kiss. She slowly raised her finger tips to her lips. Ran the pads of her fingers along her bottom lip and pressed down. Wondering what the pressure of another person’s lips-of Hinata’s lips-would have felt like.
“Yachi, are these the tissues I gave you a few weeks ago? You still have them?”
“Huh? Oh,” she saw the packet of tissues that Hinata was holding up. “Yeah. They’re cute! So I’ve been saving them for special blowing occasions.” saying that out loud was a lot more embarrassing than in her head, oh Lord.
Hinata, however, found it hilarious. He laughed and placed it back on the table. “You’re right. They’re meant for the most epic of nose blows. That’s why they’re super soft! Absorbs all the snot!”
“Oh that’s gross,” Yachi said between laughter. Her heart was still racing. Her fingers tapped on the table with loose, uncontained excitement. She kept thinking what if, what if, what if .
Maybe one day, she hoped rather hopelessly, she could see what world lied beyond the what if .
But for now, she contented herself with watching Hinata sitting across from her. In the small space of her bedroom. Where the moments before their paths would diverge were tucked away in tiny pockets of her heart.
/
“What’s that? Hinata you own a highlighter?”
“I didn’t even know you took notes.”
“Hey! I take notes!” Yachi was not so subtly listening into Hinata’s conversation a few desks away. She had been reworking training schedules for the team to do next week. Conditioning should be bumped down back to two days, and three days for strength work and other drills. She was about to bring out the markers to color code when she heard Hinata’s laughter.
Her heart skipped a measure. Her fingers twitched. His laugh was, perhaps, one of the best things she’s ever been blessed to experience. Even when it wasn’t directed towards her.
“When? All your notes are drawings, man.”
“It makes sense to me .”
“Right, right!”
“Well listen! Maybe I just needed a cool highlighter to keep me motivated.”
“Yellow’s the most basic color there is…”
Ah! Man… that should not have made Yachi as bummed as it did. Well, they weren’t wrong, she supposed. Yellow was a basic color. Especially when there were other shades like purple or mint green or sky blue. Yellow… yellow just didn’t-
“This is the best shade of yellow there is.”
And there was something in the way that Hinata said that. So sure, so strong, and with enough passion someone would think he was defending his favorite tv show character. Yachi felt her heart soar. Then immediately felt silly for getting so excited over Hinata being an advocate for something silly like a highlighter.
She glanced up secretly. Hoping to see what Hinata’s expression was like. Her heart stopped. Her breath hitched.
Because Hinata was looking at her, too.
If this were a shoujo manga, and Yachi’s read many of them, this would be the scene where the world disappears and the only thing left are their desks. Their eyes meet and around them is a frame of cherry blossoms and starlight. Of sparkles and an intense, hushed moment that’s meant to translate a moment shared between two people and two people only.
But this is the real world. The moment fleets and passes like a train rushing for its next stop.
“I like this color,” Hinata said. Looking at her still. His face broke out into a sunny smile that hit Yachi right in the chest. “I like it a lot.” Then he twirled his highlighter around his fingers like a drummer and turned back to his friends.
“What? Why were you looking at Yachi-san like that?”
“Haha, don’t worry about it!” Hinata turned the conversation onto asking if they’d seen the ending of Black Clover yet.
There was a loud, pulsing sound. That roared and demanded attention. That swallowed Yachi’s entire body whole. She felt like one, large, heartbeat. Her cheeks were flamed and her fingers were jittery.
She looked back down at her notes. Staring at the blue marker she was planning to use for color coding. She put it away and brought out the orange highlighter instead. The one she’d bought with Hinata.
With a slow, measured stroke, she brought the highlighter across the first word on the page.

Yachi felt like death.
Madoka, her mother, knelt beside her bedside. “You’re so warm, dear. Are you sure you want me to go to work?” she frowned. “I can stay home.”
While Yachi would want nothing more than her mother to stay. To taste some of her mother’s food. To feel the continued cooling comfort of her palm pressed to her forehead. She couldn’t. Her mom had a project presentation coming up soon that had her working longer hours. Yachi knew how excited her mother was to show off her latest work. If she missed a day something could go wrong… and Yachi would feel even worse if that happened because of her.
“It’s ok, mama.” Yachi wiggled herself out of her blanket enough for her face to show. Her cheeks were red and flushed. Her body felt sluggish but she put on the best smile she could. “I just need to sleep some more. I’ll be ok! You go to work.”
“Are you sure?”
“Super sure,” she reached up to touch her mother’s hand. Gave it a squeeze.
Her mom still didn’t seem convinced. But after a few moments she sighed and got up from the floor. “Alright,” she adjusted her bag and leaned forward to press a kiss on Yachi’s cheek. “Try eating the porridge I made for you if you can! I put all my love in it.” another kiss. “Text or call if you need anything, Hitoka!”
Her mom left for work shortly after. Yachi pulled the blanket back over her head. Oh, she hated being sick. It was such an unpleasant time. Not only was she unable to do work, but her body felt blegh all over. Her nose would keep running. Her eyes never stopped watering. And when she coughed she could feel her whole lungs shake like old rafters in an attic.
She also hated being sick because she couldn’t see Hinata…
The other managers and a few of the players had sent her get well text messages once they found out she was out sick today. And memes, a lot of memes. She felt good, to be considered. It was nice when people remembered you in your absence. When you not being there meant just as much as you being there. That they even considered reaching out at all had made her all gooey!
And then Hinata had texted her. And her heart exploded.
Hinata: YACHI WHY AREN’T YOU HERE!!
Yachi: I’m sick lol! But it’s just a cold tho!!! I should be better by tomorrow so no worries!!!!
Hinata: OH NOOOOOOO Hinata: YOU BETTER FEEL BETTER SOON OR ELSE!!!
Hinata: I’m beating up your antibodies as we SPEAK!
Hinata: Wait Tsukishima just told me if I did that you’d die so I’m actually beating up your VIRUS
Hinata never failed to make her laugh. Even when it ended with a slight cough that made her more tired afterwards.
She slept most of the day away. Getting up once to eat her mom’s porridge. It was yummy, because her mom made it. She checked in with her fellow managers. Seeing how practice went. They both told her it went fine, and that her main focus should be rest.
Miyuchan: [PICTURE OF HINATA MID JUMP] Hinata-senpai’s in good form today hehehe… Sorachan: [VIDEO OF HINATA TURNING TO THE CAMERA, WAVING] when i said your name he turned and waved!! Said it was just for you :)
Yachi’s entire face exploded with heat afterwards. She chucked her phone and ducked under the covers like a caterpillar. “Waaaaaaah! WAAAAAAAH! He looked so good today and I missed it!!! MUCUS DRY UP! COUGH GO AWAY!!!”
She kicked her feet up and down and buried her head into the pillow. Ah, she really had it bad. When did it ever get this way, though? When had she even started to like him? When had that happened?
Maybe it was gradual. A steady rising. That just built up and up over time until she finally couldn’t ignore it anymore. Maybe it was the natural progression of things. When Hinata was so warm and open and understanding. When his sunlight was so attractive and welcoming that stepping to bask in its glow just wasn’t that weird of a thing to do.
But now she thought about what wedding colors she’d have her bridesmaids wear at their wedding and what to do if Godzilla attacked that day and they had to get married within his stomach after being eaten and that was the thought that sent her back to sleep.
When she woke up, the sun had set.
She rose slowly, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. “Ah, I slept for too long…”
“Morning, sleepyhead.”
“Morning Hinata…” . . . “HINATA?”
Hinata sat by her bed with the chair she usually had placed at her desk. He was all grins and laughter. “Haha, hey! Yeah, it’s me. I wanted to come see ya.”
“You… did?”
“Yup! Your mom let me in. She wanted to let you know that she went OVERDRIVE with work today and finished enough so she could come back and see if you needed anything! We bumped into each other at the convenience store when I was getting you..” he reached into his bag and pulled out a pack of Fugashi. Her absolute favorite.
She was going to cry. She’d blame it on the cold.
“Hinata you didn’t have to get me anything! Just you here is uh,” she wanted to say that nothing was sweeter than time with Hinata. And nothing was more delicious than Hinata, in general. But instead settled with, “it’s good. It’s a pleasant surprise. Everyone really!” she quickly added. “I’ve gotten so many texts today from the team and our friends… feeling cared by you all made me feel a million times better!”
Hinata still placed the bag of snacks on her bed beside her. And scooted the chair until he was right by her. He fixed her with a serious glance that made her want to fidget. But then he just broke out into his usual smile.
“Well duh. Of course we’d check in on you! You’re important to us after all.”
“Hehe… yeah,” she rubbed at her cheek. “It’s nice to be reminded of that, I guess. You know?”
“Yeah, I get it.” he nodded several times for emphasis and then jumped as if he was struck by lightning. “Oh yeah! I almost forgot.” he reached into his bag again and pulled out a notebook. “I took notes! For you. Well, for me too but these are the ones I did for you specifically.”
She took the notebook from his hands. Flipping through the pages to find scrawled onto the paper notes. Organized and then explained why they were organized the way they were with doodles and boxes and arrows. It was all very Hinata. Yachi felt like she was getting a sneak peek into the inner workings of his brain. Which was cute. But what really made the notes was on the last page. Where he had written in big letters: KEY - IMPORTANT INFORMATION HIGHLIGHTED WITH YACHI YELLOW!
This was the moment where she fell.
If like was the diving board, love was the pool. And she fell into its waters. Got consumed by its waves.
She liked him. Maybe even loved him. Infinitely so. The heat of her fever chilled in comparison to the overwhelming warmth and adoration she had for him in this moment.
She pressed the notebook to her chest. Feeling the corners of her eyes sting. “These are the best notes I’ve ever received… thank you.” Yachi kept her eyes on Hinata. Who looked so pleased and elated and ecstatic-his entire face glowing from the praise. “And thank you for coming to see me.”
“Of course, Yachi!” he reached out to grab her hand. Gave it a squeeze. And then ruffled her hair before he got up. “If you have any questions about the notes, gimmie a text! And I’ll see you in class tomorrow, ok? You better come! Or else I’m bringing you there myself!”
“Yeah! Tomorrow,” she grinned. So hard her cheeks hurt.
Later that night, after Hinata had left. Her mom came to find her later. Madoka sat at the end of Yachi’s bed. While Yachi sat propped against her headboard. Fingers running through every word Hinata had written for our. Making sure to linger extra long on the highlighted phrases. So much so her index finger had highlighter smudges on it.
“I think he likes you,” her mom had said after a few moments.
Yachi whipped up her head, “Did he say something? Did he! Mama you can’t say that and then not explain!”
Her mother laughed, “You didn’t give me a chance to! No, Hitoka. He didn’t say anything directly. But I know attraction when I see it.” she lowered her eyes, a sly expression on her face as she regarded Yachi. “Something tells me it’s not so one-sided on his part…”
Yachi papped her cheeks, rubbing in small circles. “Ah… is it noticeable?”
“A bit,” she leaned forward to kiss Yachi on the forehead. “I approve, by the way. If he ever wants to come over for dinner let him know he’s more than welcomed! Also! Did you guys kiss? I hope you didn’t since you could pass your cold to him but if you did -”
“MAAAAMAAAAAA!”
“Just teasing!”
/
It was one thing to know you liked someone.
It was another thing altogether to act upon it.
Yachi had definitely grown in her courage stat over her high school career. She didn’t hesitate to strike up a conversation. She didn’t question, as much and as aggressively, her place in the world. She raised her voice and led proudly during every practice session with her managers. She even looked forward to volunteering in class.
But love? Romance? She had zero stats in that section at all.
Most of her knowledge came from otome games and shoujo mangas. And the occasional evening drama she and her mama would watch when her mama had a day off.
Real life experience? Zero.
How did people even confess to their crushes?
“I could write him a note,” she thought, sipping on her strawberry milk in class during lunch. “Or um… write him a song? I can’t sing well though. Maybe I should get someone else to sing it? But what if he thinks the person who’s singing the song to him is crushing on him and he falls in love with them and then they get engaged right in front of me I would have to simply pass awa-”
“What are you talking about, Yachi? It sounds stressful?”
“Hinata!” Of course he’d appear as she rambled herself into oblivion. So embarrassing. “Oh, nothing. I was just getting in my head a bit.”
“Well I hope you can get out of your head soon enough cause look!” Hinata held up his test score papers. They weren’t the best but they weren’t failures. He actually hit much higher than his usual exam results. With scores ranging well within the 60s and 70s. “I passed! Our study sessions worked!”
“Oh that’s so great Hinata! I knew you could do it! I’m so proud.”
“Hehehehehe, it’s all thanks to your wonderful teaching! Hey, as thanks. We’re gonna go out after school ok? Since we don’t have practice we can like, go get something to eat.”
Like a date? Her brain supplied traitorously. “Something to eat sounds good. But you really don’t have to treat me. It was no trouble at all tutoring you.”
“I want to do this,” Hinata pressed. Firm and resolute. Once Hinata got set with an idea, it was hard to change his mind. Stubbornness was imprinted within his DNA-Yachi was sure of it.
“Ok,” she agreed, nodding. Smiling, she added, “We can meet by the gym?”
“The gyms perfect! It’s a-” before he could finish Kageyama’s voice called out from the doorway.
“Hinata! Melon bread is on sale today. Last one to the cafeteria sucks!” and then he booked it.
“YOU DIRTY CHEATER, KAGEYAMA!” Hinata hollered. The classmates around them laughed. Yachi wondered what Hinata was going to say after that. But before she could ask Hinata turned to her, slapping his hands on her desk.
“The gym!” he pressed, looking her right in the eye.
She nodded, “The gym. Go! Melon bread!” she stuck out her orange highlighter. Hinata blinked down at it for a second, then grinned. He reached into his back pocket and pulled out his yellow highlighter. He tapped his against hers.
“I’M COMING FOR YOU MELON BREAD!” Hinata roared before he tore out of the classroom like a hurricane on a mission.
Yachi stared at her highlighter like it was a rare jewel. She clutched it to her chest, where her heart was beating madly.
“Thank you so much for existing,” she whispered.
The rest of the day went by in a blur.
Yachi barely remembered what occurred in her lessons. But that wasn’t really important. What mattered was after school. It was rare that they didn’t have practice. But Ukai-sensei wanted to give the team a good rest after their last practice match with Nekoma.
“You guys aren’t even allowed to think about a volleyball,” Ukai-sensei had warned. “If I find out you’re even touching one? Laps! Laps for days!”
Yachi was surprised Hinata wasn’t attempting to sneak off with Kageyama somewhere far, far away to go practice out of sight from their coach. But she’s incredibly happy he isn’t.
“Yachi!”
Yachi’s heart skipped a beat as Hinata stopped by her with his bike. She hopped off the steps to meet him. “Hinata! Hi! Nice bike!”
“Thanks! Wait check this out,” he rang the bell several times. It’s chime declared to anyone who could hear it. “It’s the Mahou Ranger theme song. I learned it last week with Terushima!”
“It’s fine! Um,” she stared at the bike, looking left and right to find another seat. “Are we going on that together?”
“Yeah! Is that cool?”
Was that cool? She’s read shoujo manga after shoujo manga depicting this very scene and they still hadn’t prepared her for this moment. She swallowed thickly.
“Yup! It’s cool. I won’t fall, right?” she attempted a laugh at the end. Something light to make her heart settle and her palms sweat less. (Do her armpits smell? Would he even notice if they did? No no, her armpits were fine ).
Hinata grinned lopsidedly, “If you hold on tight you won’t even wobble.”
Oh Yachi’s gonna hurl.
Once Yachi’s on the bike, and her arms are secured around Hinata’s middle, it’s a whole other experience. A thousand manga panels couldn’t capture the feeling of having her chest pressed to his back. Having her cheek against his shoulder. Seeing and meeting Hinata’s eyes everytime he glanced back to see if she was ok.
“I’m a safe driver!”
“I think we broke the sound barrier a bit!”
“Yeah but safely !”
She’s laughed more on the bike ride than she had all day. And she may have held on a little tighter. Squeezed and took advantage of the closeness a little more than she should. But she wanted to indulge in a little greediness. Take a bit more than what she usually would have. In case this moment was the last. In case she’d never get to feel him like this again.
They ate first. At a ramen shop downtown. The noodles were soft and the soup was so warm! Yachi slurped up her entire bowl. Messily and all. They talked about everything. School and their current, favorite TV shows. They exchanged music recommendations and talked about the future.
“I think I want to go abroad,” Hinata mentioned as they sat by the riverbank after dinner.
The back of Yachi’s neck went cold. “Oh yeah?” she tried not to think about how abroad meant far away and not near here. Because these were his dreams, not hers. And above all Yachi wanted to support Hinata and his journey with every fibre of her being. No matter where that took him. Even if she couldn’t support him by his side. “That’s amazing! Do you have a place in mind?”
“A few!” Hinata hummed. “I’m still weighing the options. I wanna go somewhere warm though. With a nice beach… I’d love to play some beach volleyball!”
“I’d worry about the sand in my toes,” Yachi laughed. “I get sand everywhere when I go to the beach. It’s really unpleasant.”
The sun was beginning to set. Sitting heavy and content upon the horizon. A mix of oranges and yellows and quiet pinks and rueful purples. Yachi focused her eyes on the river. And made her brain think about how far it reached. How the river would probably go to the ocean. And how the ocean, despite being divided into seven parts, was really all connected at the end. And maybe, that could be them. Divided, but connected.
“Ah yeah?” Hinata said. “Well, the sand would definitely need some getting used to. If you visit a lot though, you’d get used to all the sand, wouldn’t you think?”
If you visit a lot . She had to know what that meant. Because the hope that rose in her chest and took root in her heart and was threatening to dominate her being was too much. Too great. And too burdensome to end in a deflation of a what if, or a failed expectation.
“You’d want me to come see you?”
“Yeah of course,” Hinata was staring at the bank too. And then he turned to look at her. And she met him in return. As she always would. “I like you. So I wanna see you. Even when we graduate.”
“I mean of course we’d see each other after we graduate! I dunno if I could visit all the time because of college but maybe long breaks or something could work.” She’d completely blown by his first admission. Her brain was already trying to envision summer and fall and winter breaks and a trip. She had to balance finding an internship too. So maybe she could coordinate something with whatever company she ended up interning at. Hopefully they’d be lenient. She’s never traveled abroad either. So maybe she could call up Kiyoko-senpai or-
“Yachi get out of your head.”
Suddenly, Hinata was in her space. Eyes intense and lips pulled into a frown. Yachi’s instincts told her to move away but her heart told her to remain rooted.
“Hi,” she said quietly.
Hinata searched her face for countless seconds, “Yachi. Did you hear what I said? The first thing?”
“Yeah of course.” she responded. Then giggles. “Oh, that sounds like I’m responding to you but no I mean I’m just repeating.”
“No, after that. Think,” Hinata was so so close. And with the sunset coating him like a blanket, making his orange hair stand out even more, and his orange, golden eyes glow, she wondered if he’d keep his hair that long. Or if he’d cut it. And she wondered if she could touch it before they graduated. And she wondered if her mother was right, and he did like her. And she-
Oh.
“You like me.” it hit her like a freight train. Her entire body was covered in a dawning blush. The electricity and tingling of the realization went right down to her toes.
Hinata broke out into a brilliant smile. “Yes!” he laughed, head thrown back. The sound bounced all over the little world they were building of just her and Hinata. Only two. “Oh my God. I was worried you didn’t like me at first and that was your way of rejecting me. WAIT!” He whipped his head back, eyes wide with panic. “Do you like me? I mean, it’s okay if you don’t I’ll survive but if you did and I missed that you should say it again or if you haven’t said-”
“I like you,” Yachi blurted out. Because once the words had a reason to be alive. Had a reason to be born. Could be freed from the prisons of her mind and delivered safely with her heart to his hands-she had to say it. Here on the riverbank where the wet grass would surely leave stains on her skirt. But she didn’t care. Because she had to say it.
“I like you so much,” Yachi continued. Flowing like the river below them. “So much it hurts. So much I really, really want to kiss you.”
Hinata took her lips in the softest kiss. One that made her sigh and her eyelashes flutter. One that made her feel so seen and heard and alive and broken apart and undone and melting all at once.
It was her first kiss. And it made her want several more afterwards.
Once they broke apart, Hinata pressed his forehead to hers. Yachi curled her fingers around the back of his neck. Allowed herself the blessing of playing with his hair at the nape of his neck. Biting her lip, she glanced up at him through her eyelashes. He was smiling at her. His cheeks flushed red-probably burning as much as hers were at the moment. He laughed, and pressed a kiss to the tip of her nose.
“Me too,” he whispered against her skin. “I like you so much I'm gonna explode, haha.”
/
“Can I say something? It’s kinda cheesy,” Hinata started as they biked home.
“Mhm,” Yachi hummed, nuzzled against his shoulder.
“I think of you every time I use that highlighter. The yellow one. It’s the only highlighter I’ve ever owned. And it’s probably gonna stay the only highlighter I ever have. Is that weird?” he looked back sheepishly and chuckled.
Yachi laughed, shaking her head. “No not at all. I got that orange highlighter because it reminded me of you, after all. Or well, your hair specifically. But you, by extension.”
“What do you like more. Me, or my hair?”
“Hmm… that’s a tough question… Can you get back to me on that?”
“No! Yachi! You have to answer right now! Wait,” he stopped the bike by a lamppost. Hopping off, he held out his hands for her to take like she was getting off a carriage. She flushed, giggling, and hopped off with his hands in hers. “I forgot something.”
“Did you leave something behind at the riverbank?” she hoped not. They could go back and look for whatever he’d lost, but it was dark now. And any luck would be wasted right now. She’d try though, if that’s what-
“Oh, no! No that’s fine. I just. I realized I didn’t-AHHHH!” he shook his head several times like he was scaring away the ghosts in the attic. “Yachi Hitoka! Will you be my girlfriend please?” he yelled for as loud as the neighborhood could hear. “I know I’ll be leaving and we’ll be far apart for a while but I like you a lot! I like you so much! I’ll call you every night! I’ll wish you good morning and good night! I’ll send you pictures of my sandy feet! I want to share everything about this new world I’m going into and I hope you want to do the same! So please consider me as your boyfriend, thank you!”
Hinata Shouyou was a bag of surprises. When she thought she had him figured out, Hinata just threw Yachi for a loop.
But that’s what made her drawn to him. That’s what made her like him.
“Yes!” she yelled, just as loud. Surely the neighbors would wake up but she didn’t care. “Hinata Shouyou I want to be your girlfriend! I want you to be my boyfriend and show me your sandy feet and I’ll show you my not sandy feet! I want to call you all the time! I want to support you on your journey even when we’re oceans apart! I want to continue being with you for as long as I can! I like you! I accept! Be my boyfriend, please!”
Hinata cupped her face and leaned in for another kiss.
Under the flickering lamp post on a late, spring evening where their final days were drawing in.
But their first moments, together, were only beginning.

How To Save A Lifeguard–Matt Brody
Zac Efron Masterlist
Matt Brody is the most annoying, egotistical, manwhore I have ever met. He thinks that every girl he meets has to fall in love with him. Well, not me. I can't stand the sight, sound, or the air around him.
And he hates it.
Which just makes it all the more fun.
"Hey, Y/N."
"Matt," I said through my teeth, not looking away from my book. "I am on break. Break means lunch, water, shade, and no you. You are not on a break which means you should be anywhere but here."
"Come on, Y/N," he laughed. I ignored as he walked up to me and sat across from me. "Why won't you play with me? We can take our breaks together."
"Brody!"
We turned around to see Mitch standing in the doorway. "Will you please leave her alone? She has turned you down so many times, I'm starting to lose track."
I sent him a sweet smile as I held back my laughter. Matt glanced over at me, before clenching his jaw.
"And she's right," Mitch added. "You are not on break. Get back to the beach. Now."
"Fine," Matt said between his teeth. He glanced over at me and I sent him a playful pout. As he stood up, Mitch and I watched him leave. When he was finally gone, Mitch turned back towards me.
"I'm sorry, kid." He sighed. "You know how Olympians are; they think they are entitled to whatever they want. And what he wants is you."
"I wish I could change that," I mumbled as I grabbed my book. He laughed as he patted me on the back and grabbed a water.
A couple of days later, I walked into the lifeguard hut to see Matt and Mitch in a very heated discussion. They quickly stopped talking when I walked in.
"Everything okay?" I asked slowly as I grabbed my water from the fridge.
"Do you know. . ."
"No," Mitch instantly cut him off. "She doesn't need to get involved in this. We aren't even sure what this is."
"Anyway," I cleared my throat. "Mitch, I need to ask for two weeks off."
"Yeah? How come?"
"My mom is having surgery and I just want to be there for her. I know two weeks is a long time and we only have a week off normally but I. . ."
"Y/N," Mitch laughed, cutting me off. "Take as much time as you need. Family is important. I hope everything goes well with your mom."
"Thanks," I smiled. Mitch patted my shoulder as he passed me and left the lifeguard shack. I looked over at Matt and sighed.
"What?" I asked, turning back around and putting my stuff away.
"Why is your mom having surgery?" He asked.
"She was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months ago," I sighed. "They are removing the lump."
"Wow," Matt said. "I'm so sorry, Y/N. That's terrible."
I just shrugged as I grabbed my gear and headed outside, not sure what to take from this sudden change in Matt Brody.
* * * * *
Throughout the week before I left for my mom's surgery, I noticed Mitch and Matt constantly whispering to each other. They've been working late and even switched schedules so they worked at the same time. I never asked what was going on because I knew whatever it was, they didn't want me involved.
I had just gotten to the shack, putting my stuff away, when the door slammed open. I turned around and saw Mitch, Matt, Holden, and C.J. walking in.
"Whoa, what happened to you guys?"
"Ask him," Holden said through her teeth as she nodded towards Matt. I raised my eyebrows when I saw the look on his face.
"I said I was sorry," he mumbled as he walked past me.
"Do I wanna know?" I asked C.J.
"Nope," she said popping the "p".
I glanced over at Mitch to see him shaking his head. I followed him into his office and knocked on the open door as he sat down.
"Hey, kid. Come on in." He said, gesturing towards a chair.
"Hi, sorry. I just wanted to talk to you about. . . Well, my mom's surgery is this weekend. I just wanted to double-check that it was still okay for me to go."
"Y/N," he said chuckling. "We will miss you but we'll be just fine. Go home and take the time you need to help her out."
"Thank you," I said, not meaning to sound as relieved as I came off. "I normally wouldn't take this much time off at a time but. . ."
"Y/N, sweetheart." He cut me off. He walked around and sat on the edge of his desk in front of me. "I told you. Take as much time off as you need. You are one of my best lifeguards, which means I know this is real. I know you truly are going to take care of your mom and not going on vacation. Don't worry about us or the beach. Focus on your mom."
"Thanks, Mitch." I stood up and gave him a hug. He laughed as he hugged me back.
"Give your mom a hug for me," he whispered. He pulled out of the hug and put his hands comfortingly on my shoulders. "And thank her for raising such an amazing daughter."
"Shut up," I laughed as I pushed him away, making him laugh.
"It's true," he shrugged. "You are."
I rolled my eyes and turned around, starting to walk out of his office as I said, "Thanks, boss."
I froze outside his office when I noticed Matt watching us. "What?" I asked.
"Nothing," he stuttered before walking to his locker. I watched him for a second before shrugging and grabbing my supplies for my shift.
"Okay then," I mumbled as I walked outside.
* * * * *
"Y/N."
I gasped when I felt someone grab me and pull me into the lifeguard shack. When the lights turned on, I saw Matt standing in front of me with wide eyes.
"Matt!" I yelled through my teeth as I pushed him away from me. "What the hell is your problem?! You can't just grab someone like that!"
"I'm sorry," he said quickly. "Look, I know you hate me and think I'm disgusting. But I really need to talk to you."
"Why?" I sighed, my heart rate finally going back to normal.
"Because you are the only level-headed person I know," he said taking a step towards me. "And your dad is the deputy."
"How did you know. . ." I mumbled.
"Mitch told me," he rushed out. "He also told me that you were working as a lifeguard during the summer to pay off student loans for med school. Anyway, Mitch debated telling your dad because he didn't want you getting sucked into this and getting hurt."
"Matt," I said slowly. "What is going on? What is there to get sucked into and why would you need my dad?"
"Thorpe fired Mitch."
"What?! Why would he. . . Matt, what the hell has been going on around here? I took two weeks off to go help my mom with her surgery and I come back and Mitch has been fired?"
"It's kind of a long story," Matt stuttered.
"Then tell it slowly, Brody," I said through my teeth as he sat down on the couch. He sighed as he ran his finger through his hair. I stood in front of him and crossed my arms over my chest. "Now."
"Do you remember that private yacht caught fire a couple of days before you left?"
"Yeah," I shrugged. "And we had to save your ass when you dove directly under the flames. That was the night Councilman Rodriguez died. That's it."
"Actually," he said slowly.
"Son of a. . ." I mumbled as I sat across from him. "What else?"
"Well, Mitch and I looked into it."
"Even though Ellerbee told you to leave it alone?" I asked, sending him a knowing look.
"Yeah," he chuckled. "Anyway, we attended a party that Leeds held."
"And?"
"And nothing," he elongated. "So we ended up going to the hospital morgue."
"Wait, what?" I scoffed. The seriousness in his voice and on his face made me nervous.
"I know it sounds weird but we found out that two of Leeds' henchmen were forging an autopsy to cover up that Leeds killed Rodriquez."
"Whoa," I interrupted him. "Slow down, Matt. That doesn't. . . That doesn't make any sense. Why would she want him dead?"
"We weren't sure, so we tried to find out."
"How?" I sighed, running my fingers through my hair.
"Well, Mitch and I went undercover so we could sneak into her club kitchen."
"What?! Matt, do you hear how crazy this sounds?"
"I know, okay?" Matt sighed as he stood up and started pacing back and forth in front of me. "But when we went undercover, we saw her workers getting drugs that were hidden in barrels of fish."
"Drugs hidden in the barrels of fish?" I asked for clarification. "So, Leeds is a secret drug lord? Wait, is this how Mitch got fired? Thorpe found out you guys were out of our jurisdiction, didn't he?"
"Yeah," he sighed, sitting back down.
"How could you do that to him, Matt? I know you're a stuck-up, arrogant Olympic asshole who doesn't give a shit about anyone but yourself. But, like it or not, we're a family here. We stick up for each other."
"I know that," he stuttered.
"How could you do this? Matt, how could you take the job away from Mitch? He's devoted his whole life to keeping this beach safe and you. . ."
"I didn't have a choice!" Matt yelled, cutting me off. "I didn't want to take the job. In fact, I wanted to walk out with Mitch."
"Then why didn't you?" I asked, my voice soft. He opened and closed his mouth, angrily running his hands through his hair.
"I had no choice, okay?" I watched as he sat back down, his shoulders slumped.
"I'm sorry, Matt," I mumbled. He looked up at me, his eyes soft. "I shouldn't have jumped at you like that. I just. . . I'm sorry."
I stood up and it was my turn to start pacing. "What the hell are we going to do? We have to get Mitch his job back."
"I've thought about that!" Matt jumped up. "Yesterday, I saw sand grifters steal bags using a cooler. I tackled them and stole the cooler."
I watched as he walked to the office, coming back with a red cooler in his hands.
"And," he continued, "I found another pouch of flakka on the beach. What I need from you is the autopsy for the second body they found."
"Matt," I sighed.
"I know," he interrupted me. "I know how this all sounds. And I know that it's a lot to ask for but. . ."
"I already have it," I cut him off.
"You do?" He stuttered. I stood up and walked over to my locker. I got my laptop out and brought it over to the table. I opened it and pulled up the autopsy.
"Before I left, I used my medical school access to get the autopsy of the councilman and I'll admit; it did seem off. When I looked more into it, the fire was a cover-up. So, I got access to the second autopsy and look."
I showed him the screen and stepped back, crossing my arms over my chest.
"That doesn't look like a shark bite," Matt mumbled.
"Because it's not," I sighed. "Matt, the guy you found was stabbed."
"What?" He asked as he turned around.
"The cut is too perfect. A shark bite would be rougher, torn more. Not a perfect slice."
"Holy shit," he mumbled. I watched as Matt stared at the screen, trying to piece everything together.
"I need to get back on Leeds' boat," he mumbled.
"What? Are you crazy?"
I grabbed his hand, stopping him from leaving. "Matt, look at me. You can't go back there. Last time, you almost died. If you go back. . ."
"I'll be fine," he chuckled.
"Matt," I said, my breath getting caught in my throat. The look on my face must've been bad because he gently grabbed my shoulders.
"Y/N, I'm going to be fine. I promise."
He was about to leave the shack again but I quickly said, "I hacked into her servers."
"You what?" He asked, spinning around.
"I hacked into her serves earlier and I found out her plan. It's. . . It's not good, Matt."
"What did you find?"
"She has plans to privatize the entire beach by buying out or eliminating every competing business owner," I explained.
"Eliminating?" He repeated. "Shit."
I nodded as I wrapped my arms around myself. "Matt, this is bigger than two lifeguards can handle. We need to go to the police."
"We can't," he said, sounding like he was in another place right now. "But what if. . .
"Matt, don't. . ."
"I gotta go."
"Wait, what? Matt!"
I tried to run after him but he was gone.
* * * * *
"Slow down, sweetheart." My dad soothed through the phone. "Just take a breath and tell me what happened."
"I don't know," I stuttered. "All I do know is that Matt and Mitch were onto something involving Leeds' before she got Mitch fired. I think. . . Dad, I think Matt went to handle her on his own."
"To be honest, we thought Councilman Rodriquez's death was suspicious and with everything you just said, it makes sense that Leeds had something to do with it. Thorpe too if he fired Mitch just like that."
"Wait," I cut him off. "Do you think Matt is in trouble?"
"I thought you didn't care for Matt Brody," my father said knowingly.
"I don't," I stuttered. "I just. . . He's a coworker. . ."
"Sure," he laughed. "I'll pretend to believe you."
"Dad," I sighed. "What should I do?"
"I wish I could help you, kiddo, but the ocean is a little out of my jurisdiction."
"So, what?" I scoffed. "We just let Matt go out there and get killed?"
"Of course not," my dad said quickly. "But if you brought them to land, then I could arrest them."
* * * * *
I got to work early the next day and eagerly waited for Matt. My nerves jumped every time the lifeguard shack door opened, my heart jumping into my throat and then sinking into my stomach when it wasn't him.
I walked out onto the beach and looked around. I scanned the beach, finding no sign of Matt.
"Where the hell are you, Brody?"
I tried to focus on the people on the beach, making sure they were safe, but I couldn't stop wondering where Matt was. At the end of my shift, I headed into the lifeguard shack and sat down in Mitch's/Matt's office.
I sucked in a breath when I saw a note scribbled down on a post-it. From all the stupid notes Matt has left on my lunch over the past few months, I knew that it was in his sloppy handwriting.
Leeds' yacht Southward Dock 8 pm shipment
I checked the time and quickly grabbed the keys to the lifeguard jet ski. I grabbed a lifejacket and threw it on as I headed to the jet ski. I quickly pushed it into the water and headed to the Southward dock.
I slowed down when I saw Leeds' yacht pull out of the dock. I swore under my breath as I put the jet ski into high gear and sped off after it. When it finally came to a stop, I drove around to the back where I could hide my jet ski in a blindspot.
I snuck on and quickly started searching the ship for any sign of Matt. I had just about searched every inch and about ready to give up when I heard a familiar voice.
"You can't do this!"
I peeked around the corner to see two men dragging Matt to the edge of the boat. My eyes widened when I saw them lift a bait cage, ready to shove Matt into it. Before I could stop it, a gasp left my lips too loudly. I quickly covered my mouth and hid back around the corner. I held my breath and waited before peeking my head back over.
"I can and I'm gonna," Leeds laughed. She snapped her fingers and her two goons roughly grabbed Matt, ready to throw him into the bait cage.
"Such a shame to hurt a pretty face like yours," she sighed. "Maybe after we get rid of you, I'll go after that little female lifeguard you seem to be spending so much time with these days. What's her name? Y/N?"
I heard him grunt angrily as he tried to fight his way free. For a brief second, his eyes found me hiding. He instantly recognized me and sent me a pleading look, begging me to turn and run. I shook my head as I took a hesitant step towards them.
He started to fight against the two men, desperately trying to get to me. I covered my mouth when one of the guys hit him, grabbed him, and dragged him to the edge of the boat.
"One final thought before you take a swim," Leeds' said teasingly. "You were right about me being involved in Lieutenant Mitch's unfortunate firing. Just so you know, I bribed Thorpe into firing him and replacing him with you, the nieve Olympian who would be too stupid to realize what we were doing."
My heart sank when I saw the look in Matt's eyes. Leeds leaned down and pressed a teasing kiss to Matt's forehead before her goons threw him into the cage.
I covered my mouth with both hands, holding in a scream as the three of them kicked the cage into the water. Their laughter echoed in my head as they walked away. It was hard to breathe as I watched the cage sink, Matt struggling inside.
Once Leeds' and her men were out of sight, I dove off the boat. By the time I caught up to Matt, the cage was already at the bottom. I grabbed the cage, pulling myself down. Matt rolled over, his eyes widening when he saw me.
I pulled a bobby pin out of my hair and started fiddling with the lock. Thanks to my dad and his paranoia of having a daughter, he taught me to hotwire a car, get out of a zip tie, and pick a lock. Matt watched as I struggled to get the cage unlocked.
I looked up, a scream getting stuck in my throat when I noticed Matt struggling to stay awake. I tried to reach through the cage and touch him, but I couldn't reach. I grunted angrily and forced myself to focus on unlocking the cage. My vision blurred as I finally got it unlocked.
I reached in to grab Matt and pulled him out. Once he was in my arms, I kicked off the seafloor and swam us up to the surface. When we broke through, I let out the breath I'd been holding.
I tightened my arms around him as I swam us towards the jet ski. I rested him on the side before pulling myself up. It took all of my strength to pull Matt up onto the jet ski.
I laid him on the seat, his head towards the end, and took off his gag. I leaned over him and held my breath so I could hear his.
"Shit," I mumbled when I couldn't hear any air leaving or entering his body. I sat up and quickly started chest compressions. It was hard to balance a jet ski on the water while standing and trying to give someone CPR.
I leaned down and tilted his head back. I placed my lips over his, giving him mouth-to-mouth. I sat up and quickly started doing chest compressions again. My confidence slowly sank the longer it took for me to wake him up.
"Come on, Matt," I mumbled. "Please don't. . . Please come back to me."
The second I pulled my lips away from him, he coughed up water. I rolled him onto his side so he could get the water out of his lungs. Once he was done coughing, I gently rolled him back over.
"Matt?" I said out of breath. "Are you okay? Talk to me. Please."
He slowly opened his eyes, it taking him a second before he recognized me.
"Y/N?" He said, his voice soft. "You saved me."
"If you forgot," I chuckled, "that's kind of our job."
I held my breath as he slowly sat up. He looked around as he ran his fingers through his wet hair. "Where are we?"
"About ten miles outside Southward Dock."
My cheeks turned red when I saw the way Matt was looking at me. "What?" I asked.
"Nothing," he stuttered.
"We should get back to shore," I stuttered, clearing my throat. "My dad and the sheriff are waiting for us. They have some questions before they can arrest Leeds and Thorpe."
I sat in front of him, instantly turning the jet ski on. Matt sat up, scooting closer to me.
"Want me to drive?" He asked.
I looked over my shoulder at him, sending him a knowing look. He put his hands up in defense and laughed before wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Just kidding," he said, his smirk coming through in his voice. "I see you still don't like jokes."
"Only when you tell them," I playfully shot back.
* * * * *
When we got back to shore, EMTs were waiting for Matt, and my father was waiting for me. As my dad and the sheriff talked to me, I was distracted by watching the EMTs take care of Matt. Several times, he looked over at me and sent me a reassuring smile.
When they were finally done talking to me, the sheriff and my dad went to talk to Matt. As they figured out how to handle Thorpe, I forced myself to go back to the lifeguard shack. I was putting away supplies when the shack door opened. I turned around, my breath getting stuck in my throat when I saw Matt standing in the doorway.
Before I could stop myself, I ran over to him. I jumped into his arms, wrapping my arms tightly around his neck. He was shocked for a second before I felt him wrap his arms tightly around me.
When the relief wore off and the embarrassment set in, I quickly let him go, wrapping my arms around myself.
"I'm sorry," I stuttered. "I just. . . I thought you were. . . I thought they might. . ."
"Y/N," he cut me off as he gently grabbed my hands. "I'm okay. Thanks to you."
He let me go when he realized he was holding me longer than necessary. I looked up at him, both of us slightly embarrassed. I bit my lip, nervously chewing on it as silence fell between us. I looked back over at him when he cleared his throat.
"And here I was thinking you hated me," he scoffed.
I sent him an annoyed look as I shifted my weight from one foot to the other. "Really?" I sighed. "After everything, you go back to being your cocky asshole self? Can't we just. . ."
Matt cut me off by pulling me into his chest and pressed his lips to mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck and instantly started moving my lips against his.
Just as fast as he initiated it, Matt broke the kiss. He pressed his forehead to mine, slightly rubbing our noses together.
"Thanks," he whispered, "for saving my life."
"Anytime," I shrugged, my voice barely above a whisper. "It's what lifeguards do."
