Calling all COTL artists! I challenge YOU to draw femboy hooters Narinder! I’ve been informed that apparently there is an unfortunate lack of this content. I say we uprise, start a mob of femboy hooters Nari.

woe, bishops upon ye ((my wrists ache so damn much))

i wasn’t happy with the ones i did originally & i wanted to change some details, so here’s a newer version that i am much happier with. :3

ok ramble time ;3c

- leshy: not much changed with his design, just changed some colours. of all the previous refs i did, his was the one i was the least happy with; much happier with this version though. :3👍

- heket: again, not much changed for her design, just changed the colours since the ones before were BLEH (i learned it was something to do with my program settings so i fixed that.!!) with her old ref, she was meant to have a little more chub on her tummy & muscle on her arms, but she had neither of those things so it looked wonky. this version is much more accurate to my original vision for her. :0

- narinder: basically nothing changed cuz he’s perfect already, but i finally figured out how to draw anthro kitties ((sorta)). i also made sure he looked extra fluffy & more like a maine coon, which is the breed of cat i based him on.

- kallamar: i figured out how to draw tentacles & i remembered to add his freckles this time. :D also there is no squidussy. let a man free his tentacles without judgement smh.

- shamura: so their design changed the most; colours changed, their eye colour changed, i added extra bug leggies (like leshy’s lil leg thingies), their head scar is actually visible (still kinda figuring out how their head injury would look after it’s mostly healed, so the scarring might change as i draw them more), & finally!! spider paws. :3 spiders & tarantulas are so freaky looking but they have such adorable lil paws, it confuses me as someone with slight arachnophobia. >.> also, they do have a little spider butt, i just didn’t draw it cuz it wouldn’t have been visible anyway with their clothes & arms in the way. same thing with the lamb & the goat, i didn’t draw their tails cuz it would have barely been visible anyway so. meh.

eventually i plan to draw their other forms & what they looked like when they were itty bitty, same with lamb/goat & the cat boys. but my wrist is killing me & i have other ideas i wanna draw so. it’ll have to wait. >_>

Cult of the Lamb AU Headcanons!

Feel free to ignore my funky little headcanons, but I wanna scream about them for a second. If you DO read this, buckle up because it's a bit of a long boi.

I'll also be editing it as I add more things that I think of.

Bella, my caricature for the Lamb, is NOT the only sheep left. She even has sheep followers in the Cult, but most have either fled the Lands of the Old Faith, or have gone into hiding. And before the Bishops could kill any more sheep, Bella took them out.

Gail, my caricature for the Goat, is a separate creature. He and Bella have a history long before they achieve godhood, and Gail is the God of Vengeance rather than the God of Death. He obtains his power from a dying god after an act of selfless kindness.

Bella and Gail were the closest thing to family that each had before she was captured and sacrificed for the prophecy.

Narinder allowed Bella to speak freely with him as his vessel, forming a special camaraderie between the two. However, this was the start of his downfall, as planting that seed of familiarity in her head gave her the confidence to fight back for her own survival.

Within the first year of Narinder being part of the Cult, he'd had several of his limbs broken(because he fucked around and found out), fallen ill with a serious case of pneumonia, and been put on house arrest(also because of the aforementioned "fuck around and find out" incident).

Aym and Ball are very much alive, and Bella reunited them with Forneus. However, she told them that they always had a place in her Cult if they wished to come back. They are the only creatures that she lets come and go as they please.

Bella is a kind and benevolent leader, but her attitude with people outside the Cult is best described as "cold, but cordial." She doesn't show much emotion to people that aren't affiliated with the New Faith, but she's not outright rude.

While the Red Crown most preferred Narinder as its bearer for his control and precision wielding Death, it finds that Bella is the "best" one it's had. She holds a tremendous amount of suffering in her soul(both before obtaining the Red Crown's power and after), but still holds gentleness and compassion for those who need her. The Red Crown describes her as "an almost-perfect balance of pain and peace."

Unlike in canon, New Faith Narinder genuinely cared about Bella as his vessel. He viewed her as a confidante and an investment, and often rewarded her achievements with a sort of comfort or forming a bond with her.

Narinder had no actual desire to kill Bella. However, he couldn't take back the Red Crown and keep her alive. It had to be one or the other, and he obviously was going to choose his godhood over his vessel without question. If he had the chance to resume his role as the God of Death, would have had shrines created in her memory for his followers to pay respects to.

Bella's family worshiped Narinder, even after his imprisonment, albeit under various aliases. Including but not limited to: "The One Who Waits"(obviously), "The Inevitable," and "The Shepherd of Souls."

Bella's last name, or "herd name" is Levaux.

After her ascension begins, Bella gains the ability to digest meat without getting sick, and even gains a taste for it over time.

Bella doesn't stop her followers from consuming heretic flesh, but she draws a hard line at them eating their fellow cultists.

The Bishops regain what they lost when they're healed. Heket regains her voice, Kallamar gets his ears back, Shamura's cognitive function is restored, and Leshy regains his sight. However, it's not immediate; it takes years for Leshy to get his eyes back, and Kallamar's ears take a while to grow back. Heket's voice is a bit hoarse, but she is still capable of speaking without much issue. Shamura still has occasional headaches and episodes of confusion, but it's nowhere near as bad as it was before Bella healed them.

Heket's initial Cult teachings held ideals very similar to Buddhism. She was all about self-discipline and balance. But things obviously changed after the incident with Narinder. She became angry and paranoid, taking her anger out on her followers. She feared the her followers would see her as weak because she bled, especially by her own brother's hands.

Kallamar is an alchemist and apothecary, and is the only one of his siblings(aside from Narinder) who has access to magic.

Narinder regains his status as a god of Death, but he basically has to restart from scratch with his godhood.

Shamura has the markings of the purple bloom tarantula on their back.

While gender is completely irrelevant to them, Shamura is AFAB. They prefer they/them, but will honestly allow any pronouns(he/she/they/it/etc.).

Kallamar and all his spouses are married to each other. He has a wife(Pearl, a squid), a husband(Selachi, a shark), and a nonbinary spouse(Luca, an axolotl).

Leshy's branches are actually antennae, and can move around on their own. He uses them to track voices/sounds and scent, giving him a good general idea of his surroundings.

The Lands of the Old Faith are isolated from the rest of the world, and the fall of the Bishops creates both opportunity and risk from the outside world, both in trade and immigration.

There's an entire world of gods, the Pantheon, which is completely inaccessible to mortal beings, and the portal leading to it is surrounded by a massive storm barrier in the middle of the sea(think "Skyward Sword storm" type of thing).

Establishing an alliance with the Pantheon provides a massive boost in societal development as a whole. Essentially, the Lands of the Old Faith are still in the stone age while the rest of the Pantheon is in the equivalent of the modern day irl.

Without the use of a fertility ritual, Bella can't become pregnant. Not because any traumatic event, though; she was always unable to have children without the help of a ritual.

Narinder wanted more than three children, but won't try to convince Bella to have more. He may be a god of death, but he still respects bodily autonomy.

As a cat, Narinder is a carnivore. But if he had the choice between meat and fish, he'd take fish any day. He LOVES fish, and Bella will bribe him with really special fish meals if she wants something.

Leshy has two children with his husband, Blue: twin daughters, Eris and Anita. They're not the canon abomination types; they look like a mix between their dads.

Heket adopted a froglet named Judas after bringing him back from the bring of starvation. It wasn't an official adoption at first, but Judas started spending his time around her, and she eventually warmed up to him. Despite her notoriously quick temper, she is very patient with him.

Shamura can't biologically have children as a mortal being. Prior to their ascension, their reproductive organs were badly damaged, rendering them barren. But they don't really mind; they're more than content with being a secondary role model to their niblings.

I am back from my little holidays and I got some work to do like animations and stuff, but I wanna write down this idea that in sure someone else has already thought about but idc!!!

So y'all remember those cook AUs of Steven universe where it's like, swaping pink for white, yellow for blue, to see how the characters would look like if instead of pink diamond rebelling it had been other diamond?

Well I wanna draw that but with cult of the lamb. Like the goat being from a universe where Shamura is the one who gets locked away, and like that with Heket, Leshy and Kallamar. I got some ideas already and I can't wait to get to work on it to see how it'd look like but sadly I got to finish one project before starting another

figuring out how to draw them was tough, still ironing out their design a bit, but overall i'm happy with how it looks. :3

you know what time it is-- ramble that no one asked for, aw yeahhh.

firstly, when designing them i for sure knew i wanted their design to be fuzzy & inspired by a tarantula; i know they're supposed to be a jumping spider but.. don't care, fuzzy spider supremacy. also tarantulas have weirdly adorable paws?? i love it.

their eye colour is supposed to be somewhere between red & violet; they look a bit more pink than i intended, so i'll probably adjust that as time goes by.

final thing i wanna add about their design specifically; because they are the eldest sibling, & it's insinuated that they absolutely merced all the other gods, i wanted their design to stand out more & be a little more fancy to show their status. i want to eventually add more details cuz i feel like i could make it look way cooler, but this is good for now. :3

it's made clear in the game that the bishops relied on the crowns to work around their disabilities, so when shamura is indoctrinated into the cult, they struggle a LOT with their head injury. their symptoms including, but not limited to; memory loss, poor facial recognition, visual trouble, brain fog, migraines, loss of fine motor skills, lack of balance & coordination, vertigo, struggles with vocabulary (stutters, can't find words, or sometimes makes up their own words), they often repeat things that don't really have much meaning, hand tremors, hallucinations, etc. they start out really bad, & their injury would be far worse if it weren't for the fact that they're a god & the crown prevented the injury from being as bad as it could have been. their siblings are all very patient with them, & the lamb assigns them a buddy as they begin to recover & are able to move around the cult grounds more. they eventually get to a point where they're able to function, still with moderate memory loss & brain fog, as well as migraines & hand tremors, but it takes them a *long* time to get to that point.

in their free time, they used to enjoy sewing & reading, but due to their injury, they struggle a lot with it which frustrates them to no end. they later get glasses to help with their vision so they can read, & learn how to knit & crochet, as sewing is a bit hard when your hands are constantly shaking & you're holding a tiny needle & thread.

later on in their recovery, they start helping out around the cult, doing a little bit of everything; they help the lamb with everyday duties when they can, usually small errands like delivering & retrieving items (they write them a little note in case they get lost along the way; shamura holds onto many of these notes, & have a basket in their room filled with notes they've collected over time); they help leshy in the farm/garden, heket in the kitchen when she's chefing it up, & kallamar in the healing bay, & occasionally keeps him company while he paints or crafts things. eventually, shamura & narinder are able to repair their relationship-- i haven't figured out what exactly narinder's tasks & hobbies are yet but they would keep him company & help when they can, too.

ok this is getting long so i'm gonna leave it here for now. :3

now i just have to finish the lamb & goat, & then all the rest of the characters & cult members... hoo boy.

OKAY WELL,,, after redrawing the bishops over the past few days altogether i Might re do their refs ???? Ive been drawing narinder more differently and shamura along with--Well. All of them . ALL

Noticeably ive given shamura longer pedipalps and theyre a lil sharper ,, narinder's body changed a bit along with me changing his personality instead of being a quiet douchebag (LAMDAFJK),, leshy is more fluffier so idk how ill incorporate that into his cult wear, hmm,, heket sorta stays the same but i might change her too?? And kallamar is the same as well but ill redraw hir anyways ??? AND . WELL . i have to redraw Allure probably the most--and. And Goat

MAN THATS A LOT OF NEW REFERENCES TO MAKE 💔💔 and a lot of typing to do,, bc i actually sorta changed how all their personalities are sorta?

Allure is less of an anxious character and is more of a funny coward who actually does have more self confidence , narinder is blunt and like . How do i describe this . He acts like hes a know it all but not in a bad way if that makes sense ?? Really just an asshole but NOT ???? Like hes ??? A NICE ASSHOLE ??? IDK ARE THOSE TYPES OF PPL REAL OR SOMETHING ??? Hmm,, heket is the same way now and not as cold as before ,,, kallamar is still the same sassy squid and of course ive given hir some cowardice but i dont rlly wanna make it hir entire personality if that makes sense-- shamura is sort of a mix of being an awkward person but charming in a way ,, they do express their emotions better with facial expressions now though !! I made their pedipalps longer and more reactive to indicate how theyre feeling too,,, andd thats all I can think of now for the main 6 and how I changed them up a bit ??? With the rewriting part ill rewrite how i interpret their personalities better (based off my first save file) andd YEAH !!!!

Basically ,,, leshy is gullible apparently FJFWKFJEK, heket always picks fights with the followers but she farms a lot too, kallamar is a germaphobe and spends more time with worship, shamura is a germaphobe too and is an undertaker (but theyre just like heket in picking fights with everyone--its funny because this lead me to making heket and shamura the closest siblings 😭😭), and narinder does a bit of everything because I also gave him the moon necklace !!!! He's very chatty whenever i walk by him (with the compliment dialogue thingy in game) so thats why my narinder definitely changed more personality wise instead of being more cold :-D

again, the main differences are: fluffier, muscle definition, big claws & fangs, & black gradient on their limbs. the outfits are a little more fancy compared to their questionably mortal appearances. & as a treat.. kallamar boob window. ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و

i don’t have a logical explanation for why kallamar & heket’s eyes in particular change from white to black (while shamura’s eyes don’t change at all). the main point is that i wanted them to more resemble their canon designs, but also to show more contrast between them pre vs post-injuries. though leshy doesn’t have eyes, narinder’s appearance already has such a drastic change & changing his eye colour would make it harder to see them under his veil, & then shamura is just a freaky lil tarantula so their eyes just.. look like that. :P

with shamura’s outfit, i wanted their potentially mortal appearance to be more comfy, but for their deity form i wanted it to look like they could move around more freely; before their injury, they were the most powerful bishop & quite skilled in battle. post-injury, however, they aren’t able to fight like they used to & opt to be more comfortable while they’re trying to recover.

alrighty, that’s it for the bishops for now. i will be drawing the lamb, goat, & the kitties at some point as well, & i eventually wanna draw the bishops when they’re itty bitty too. enjoy. :33

so for these designs, i wanted to make them appear bigger in size & in silhouette; thus, we have a much fluffier leshy.

not much is different compared to the “mortal-ish” designs i did, the main differences are: more muscle definition, sharper claws, black gradient on limbs, bigger antlers, & the eyes change colour post-injuries or in leshy’s case, no eyes altogether lmao.

i wanted the clothes to be similar to their mortal(?) designs, but not 100% the same cuz that would be boringgg. they’re deities, their clothes need to look sick as hell. so i added a couple extra details to make them appear bigger little extra fancy. :3
