corrie with bisexual bees for pride month
this is actually my yearly drawing of corrie in whatever outfit i was wearing at the time. here are the others : 1 / 2 / 3
it's also kind of a two in one redraw because i used a similar pose as THIS ancient corrie drawing that was the first thing i drew in clip studio paint
in 2019 or even 2018 possibly... oh how the time goes by. corrie would find her old self absolutely insufferable

EDIT: Read the additions to this post! Turns out they made a vague commitment. I'm keeping it up but turning reblogs off.

this day (march 16th) 21 years ago (2003), american activist rachel corrie was crushed to death by an israeli bulldozer while she protested the demolition of palestinian homes in rafah. she was 24. this april, she would have turned 45.
Sandra Jordan wrote in The Observer that because Corrie was American her death attracted more attention than the deaths of Palestinians under similar circumstances: "On the night of Corrie's death, nine Palestinians were killed in the Gaza Strip, among them a four-year-old girl and a man aged 90. A total of 220 people have died in Rafah since the beginning of the intifada. Palestinians know the death of one American receives more attention than the killing of hundreds of Muslims." (Wikipedia)
while we honor corrie's sacrifice, we must remember what she fought for. you can read her emails from rafah about her experiences in palestine at the rachel corrie foundation for peace and justice, organized by her parents cindy and craig who continue her work.

“Today I tried to learn to say [in Arabic], ‘Bush is a tool,’ but I don’t think it translated quite right. But anyway, there are eight-year-olds here much more aware of the workings of the global power structure than I was just a few years ago.”

grab them by the hair
grabbing a fistful of their hair to hold them in place for the next punch or slap
grabbing their hair to force them to look at you
grabbing their hair to make them bow
grabbing their hair to slam their head back into the wall
grabbing their hair to smash their face on the floor
grabbing their hair to make them bare their throat to you
grabbing their hair to stop them moving away from the blade or syringe at their neck
grabbing their hair to dunk their head under water
grabbing their hair to rub their face in a mess
grabbing their hair to pull them across the room before throwing them down where they belong
grabbing their hair to hold them up when they’re about to slump over
grabbing their hair to drag them up to their knees from where they lay on the floor
placing your hand in their hair when they’re already kneeling just to remind them what you could do with it
stroking their hair as a half-hearted apology after pulling a little too much
comment more please :)
