I added almost 1000 words to the opening of the Ossuary chapter and have spent like, days worried it would be too silly to keep the Venatori trying to send someone in to cut Lucanis' hair but honestly the entire scenario is already half comedy and it makes just as much sense as anything else in that hell prison

#I'm running with the idea that they were cleaning him up to send him off to Zara's estate in Minrathous #and one guy got like maybe a minute into trimming Lucanis' hair and beard before Spite scared the guy so bad he ran #and the other Venatori just gave up because they had other work to do and really this is Zara's problem not theirs #the section was mostly for me to explain 1) why Lucanis has his gear and looks Okay 2) why all the dead bodies are there #and 3) I wanted more Spite having a physical feel for Lucanis while the little guy is Losing His Shit #which it does very well imo thank you very much #I also like writing about Crows getting gently bodied once the element of surprise is over #it makes me smile idk why #I'm trying to slowly suffocate my brain so it stops going “BUT WHAT ABOUT BATHING” because That's Not Important that isn't my responsibilit #it isn't pertinent we can leave it alone- it's fine-#maybe Zara didn't want to play with a stinky man idk man leave it alone brain #DAV Posting
