It's officially New years for me here! I am not the best at words, but I'm thankful for the support that I've received for the short amount of time that I've started posting art more often.

What started off as me wanting to just Archive some art I'm proud of snowballed to so many memories that I'll look back fondly to, so many silly ideas that breached containment that I remember seeing people do (Like the draw your oc reacting to their fave card that me and addie just talked about as a joke, and the Shroompocalypse that was just meant to be an Jade stealing people's yume joke)

I'm glad that I met so many amazing people and discovered new artists on this site! With that said I want to drop a few words of thanks to some of the amazing people that I've met here <3

I live in the US, so it's already 2025 for many of you, but I just wanna say HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone on simblr! 💖 I made many memories here during 2024 and I wanted to take a moment to reflect on them.

My biggest highlight this year was of course the conclusion of my beloved story The Runaway on June 11 after a 2-year run. I am still so proud of what I've accomplished and I hope that my story impacted you positively.

Of course 2024 also marked the continuation of my community challenge series Total Drama Sims (which as you know is getting a third installment for 2025), which was an absolute blast (and we will have an absolute blast again)!

I've also been through a lot in 2024 outside of simblr. I unexpectedly lost the job I had held for 3.5 years, got an internship that lasted throughout the summer, went through my toughest and busiest college semester yet, and then on December 26th I officially graduated college! But it was thanks to simblr (as well as folks Ik irl) that I was able to go through this rollercoaster of a year!

So thank you simblr, and especially so to the people I'll be mentioning below, for making 2024 a great year 💖 I hope for another great year for 2025!

What are some goals you think I should have

Like generally

This is a long one cuz I'm on my period and I get chatty.

Drink more water

Work out or move your body for at least 20-30 mins a day be it walking or chasing you dog or sibling around the house or the park or outside the house.

Buy a box or vasaline and use it cuz it's a great lip balm and it's sheer enough to be labelled off as saliva or smtn ifboys in your area is anything like mine.

Focus on increasing your attention span and produce content instead of consuming content.

Read books. Idk. School books text books fantasy books religions books. IT DOESN'T MATTER. Just read more and actually learn and implement stuff into your life to better it.

Keep clean and organized.

Work on your appearance and learn how to look appealing because I know full and well how that affects you in networking. How you look and present yourself deeeeeeply effects your connections, now I'm not saying you need to be like ishwarya ray or shiva Karthikeyan, you need to be fit, fine and healthy both physically and mentally.

Also keep a book of things you owe to people and things people owe to you. Include their numbers their pros and cons. Because it could help a lot one day in the future of you can remember a classmate who lives in a certain field and you need genuine advice.

Make more friends than aquaintences, and more aquaintences than enemies, because your better off making friends than foes.

MAKE SURE YPU KNOW HOW TO HANDLE YOUR MENTAL SELF because the world is all shits and gutter rats who don't give a single fraction of a flying fuck about you, your the only one you can count on, you catch yourself when you fall .The internet may be sunshine and rainbows but you don't know most of them in real life close enough to make a long lasting and worthwhile impact in your life. You control your emotions, not the other way around bbg. Stay flexy

this post is a little more personal but i wanted to extend my thanks for 100 followers and all my mutuals :) i honestly can’t believe ive already met and talked to so many awesome, kind, and talented folks in this fandom since joining in august. i was initially quite nervous when posting all we got because i wasn’t sure id gotten gale and john yet, but all the positive feedback when i posted (and still continue to get today, bless you all) meant and means so so much to me. i went through so many full circle moments where my idols id always lurked around (atp they probably know who they are, rock on) engaging with my stuff and fb?? i almost lost it, sorta didn’t even know that was possible..? lol. but i really love being a part of this fandom space (as i usually either joined very late or smaller fandoms) and im having a blast!! and just in general.. leave people comments. leave them asks about their projects. just go over and gush about their work. i know it sounds embarrassing but writers love nothing more than to hear that someone likes what they are doing. if you find a fic that hasnt been updated in forever, comment on it. it might just be the spark the author needs to continue. while kudos and likes are nice, and just as valuable to some, its definitely in the words the people leave for them that matter the most. im not saying this to put pressure on anyone, its just how it is, and i feel like unless people are writers themselves, and even then sometimes, thats just hard to grasp, especially if the writer is a smaller and less popular one who doesnt get a lot of traffic in the first place

i think thats all. just be nice and considered to everyone, reblog peoples works, this post with others add ons and so forth. and if i find anyone talking shit here or at other writers for something they share, you'll be blocked and im probably taking your kneecaps. be fucking nice. we are all struggling here and we need to stick together
