Marble Relief of Sun God Helios in a Quadriga

This relief dates back to 300-280 BCE and was found at the temple of Athena at Ilion-Troy, modern Turkey. Currently at the Altes Museum, Berlin, Germany.

This relief, found near the sanctuary of Demeter and Kore, was simply described as a relief dedicated to Hades(x), but the inscription was actually read as "Theo Theodaemon." There are two explanations for the male figure: he may be an unknown minor deity, Theodaemon, or he could be Hades/Pluto riding a chariot drawn by cocks with his snake, since Hades was referred to as Theos in Eleusis. I have a guess: could Theodaemon be the name of the snake, similar to Agathoi Daimones?

Relief depicting Apollo - made out of marble and dating back to the year 175-200 A.D., this relief shows Apollo between two torch bearers. This object was found on the rear facade of the stage building of the theatre in Miletus.
