We had the privilege of doing a new nostril and septum piercing for Farah recently. 

For the new nostril (pictured on our left, their right) they picked out a yellow gold hammered disc from Anatometal. 

For their septum they picked out this stunning NikiStixx from BVLA. A solid yellow gold layered hinge ring with a stack of two 18g rings, a twisted ring,  and a cable chain.

don't put silver in fresh piercings! it reacts with bodily fluids (you know, like blood) and fucks up your whole business. good piercers will have implant-grade titanium available (neometal and anatometal are the two most popular brands) (surgical grade is not the same) (invictus has 100% titanium options too but the mill certificate isn't reliable, it's not implant-grade, and the quality in terms of the finish and the threading is worse)

good to know! I am very uninformed about piercings, whenever I get it done I will definitely ask the piercer about what metal I should use in the future once my piercing heals
