hey so dimensional portals are on the server now right and got their first beta test as part of the carre event. and qluzu, who now has this insane structure in his backyard, said ‘a door was opening’ to qphilza right before all his computers reappeared on the island. qphilza, who just had a ‘dream’ about being trapped in a birdcage house that doesn’t seem to exist on the server, but there are strange anachronisms at the site like an avocado sapling and a toucan and some trees with the tops cut off, almost like something sliced clean through them at that height. qphilza, who was told to ‘travel light’ and left his belongings behind, only to wake up with everything and two extra items in his inventory. qbaghera with her theory that the eggs are trying to communicate/send items to their parents, and portals might have something to do with it. the eggs who ‘ran away’ and left their accessories behind when they disappeared, but don’t appear to be anywhere on the server… at least, in THIS dimension. do you see what I’m cooking here. because if you do, Now You’re Thinking With Portals™️
Ok just answering this because i swear i could not understand english like 10 mins ago So sorry .
my friend explained what the dimension mod was earlier and Honestly like . its kinda sick cool awesome . ALSO. the fact only certain people got certain messages IS pretty interesting (like u said here w qphil)
and honestly i do think they did some crazy shit w qphil and i think the federation/other entity has more power in their hands than we think (for example certain things that Could Be considered out of rp like rollbacks . which now are CANON w qforever and qfits player data and elqs servers etcetc)
the anachronism thing fits like. Perfectly btw. ur examples r incredible THANK UOI.Like . things in this island have always been real weird like certain biomes not matching up w their flora & fauna BUT the saplings you mention is so so interesting to me ill havw to check that out later
i think whatever is on the other side is slowly seeping in and mixing with other stuff in and nesr the islanf. the door opening definitely has to do with all of this stuff. Idk this all is crazy thank you for the ask

Heyo! I don’t know how this site works at all, but I’m probably going to be using it mostly to share my writing, so I figure I’ll start with a little overview of the world most of my stuff is set in!
The Pariah’s Tides
Tumblr media
Inspired from a combination of Moby Dick, the Wellerman and other sea ballads, nautical mythology and folklore, and my weird obsession with the vibes of the early nineteenth century, the Pariah’s Tides are a sort of pocket dimension, a vast ink-black sea that takes in the lost, the aimless, the rejected and alone, all those who travel without destination.
Forgotten and Forsaken Lands
Most islands on the Pariah’s Tides are remote lands that have been forgotten, such as Pepys Island, Onaseuse, and Sannikov Land, places which have been categorized as phantom islands in our own world. Others are places which have been taken due to the actions of its inhabitants, through a method that I honestly haven’t quite figured out, such as Sakoku, the Isle of California, and the United Isles of America. Others still have entered the Tides through other miscellaneous methods, and some have been there from the beginning.
Regardless of the method by which an island has arrived to the Tides, almost all behave in the same way. Namely, they don’t like to stick around in one place. They don’t move, that would be ridiculous, they just… don’t stay in the same place. The same goes with all Tidal geography, even on islands. Landmarks may stay the same, but streets twist and curve and end and begin with just enough rhyme and reason to truly infuriate.
As if the malfunction of space wasn’t already bad, time also has a weak hold on the Pariah’s Tides. Anachronism abounds, and no one has any clue if it’s been forty or fifty or even sixty years since the failed revolution, which isn’t helped by the fact that day and night aren’t exactly a thing. Timepieces are still rather common, and fully functional for their users, so long as you don’t try and get things all synced up.
The Sun Set in the North
You may have noted me mention that the day-night cycle doesn’t exactly exist in the Tides. This is entirely true, for a much simpler reason than any bizarre timey-wimey thing. The Sun’s just not there. It’s just straight up gone. People speak of “the day the Sun set in the North” to signify a long time ago, but no one really knows what that means.
Instead of the Sun, there is something much less impressive: the Stillborn Moon. A cold, lifeless light from the South, which flickers and gutters like a dying candle, and frequently goes entirely out. It allows for crop growth, but doesn’t actually provide much real light. In addition, the foreign stars of the Tides hang in the air, but they rarely pass close enough to provide any real light.
Mankind has had to take the lighting problem into their own hands, and luckily the Tides have no shortage of whales to hunt for oil. Well, ‘luckily’ might not be the right word, considering the things those whales do to people, once they get their beaks on them. Regardless of the difficulty of obtaining it, whale oil is one of the largest industries in the Tides, led by the United Isles whaling fleets.
The Tides certainly have more to offer than this, but I’m very tired and don’t want to type stuff anymore, so I’ll just leave it here for now. Hopefully I’ll post more, who knows?

Fanfiction Masterlist Post!
Longfics first, then oneshots, split into fandoms; I’ll post everything I’ve written here that I think is worth sharing. If a fic’s got a main ship, I’ll put it in italics next to the summary, as well as any other note. All fic titles are links.
My Hero Academia Fanfics
Unicorn Tuesday: In which Himiko is adopted by the Iidas, Hitoshi is best friends with an amnesiac Dabi, Katsuki has magic powers, Shouto and Zuko bodyswap every Tuesday, and Denki is dEfInItELy nOT the UA traitor. Yes, this is an ATLA crossover.
in another life: In which Katsuki is quirkless (mostly), Izuku has an Erasure quirk (not really), Fumikage has One for All (halfway), Monoma is a Todoroki (he isn’t) and Tenya and Denki will have to fight for a happy ending. Iida/Kaminari
box: Enji and Rei are villains. Everything changes. Toga/Todoroki, Nejire/Tamaki
we make our own luck: Endeavor and Izuku get cloned, unfortunately for literally everyone.
what would have happened: In which Bakugou and a Todoroki Nomu time travel, Touya runs away with his brothers and adopts Eri and Shinsou, multiple people are not quite villains (but not quite heroes either), Eraserhead has no idea what's going on, the LoV arrests an army, and Natsuo is the only person with any amount of common sense. Shigaraki/Natsuo
until it breaks: MHA actor AU.
six miles: Autopotency: a system, having complete knowledge and power over itself. Katsuki and Touya don’t have the knowledge, exactly, but they’re trying their best with what they have. For one, the power’s a terrible blessing; for the other, it’s a magnificent curse. Or: the disastrous life of bakugou k. (ft touya)
anachronism: Shirakumo can time travel, and so knows when he will die; isn't it odd, that Kurogiri's here? The Todorokis are immortal, and so can't stay dead; isn't it odd, that Touya's gone? Even in a world of quirks, there are anachronisms. This story's about a few of them. Ashido/Sero
hey, brother: There is no such person as Todoroki Shouto; instead, Natsuo has an extremely peculiar quirk. It’s kind of a problem for everyone. Jirou/Toga
Natsuo’s Foolproof Plan to Kidnap Shigaraki Tomura: You know the trope where Shigaraki kidnaps Natsuo to be the League’s medic? This is not that. Shigaraki/Natsuo
the krytos trap: In which Class 1A produces a soap opera. Todoroki/Midoriya
the rest of us just live here: DnD world fantasy AU centered around the Todoroki family. Fuyumi/Ryukuyu
after the end of the world: Modern AU where there are no quirks, villains, or heroes, but everyone plays soccer. There are also soulmates and dimension travel. Shigaraki/Natsuo
Fullmetal Alchemist Fanfics
falling stars, fading scars: Edward and Alphonse, of the year 1917, time travel to when Mustang was fifteen—1895. This has consequences, to say the least.
bother, I left my torch in narnia: It's been twenty years since Ed and Al were stranded on this side of the Gate. Now, with a World War brewing on the horizon, they live a mostly-quiet life in rural England with their friend Alfons. However, things start to get very confusing when Ed, Al, and Alfons take in some evacuee kids from London, and they discover a mysterious portal in Al's old armor...Ed just wants to get the Pevensies home safe, but it seems that Narnia has other plans. Featuring Lion Jesus, dimensional shenanigans, and an unexpected encounter with an old friend. Co-written with @fiddlysticks
the courtship of rebecca catalina: In which Jean Havoc finds a Philosopher's Stone, goes ghost hunting, fights a homunculus, impersonates the Flame Alchemist, prevents the apocalypse, attempts to parent the Elrics, and wins Rebecca's heart--not necessarily in that order. Jean Havoc/Rebecca Catalina
katana: In which Roy Mustang attempts to find the missing Katana Fleet, the Elrics sign up to find it too, a secret organization of Sith is stirring from the shadows, and some Jedi still remain. And Al definitely isn't hiding a big secret. Nope. Star Wars AU.
what doesn’t kill you: What with serial killers, government plots, homunculi, Philosopher's Stones and murderous emperors of Xing all causing trouble, Ed and Al find that getting their bodies back has become significantly harder--and hiding the fact that they lost them in the first place near impossible. But they'll manage it--they've got an entire galaxy counting on them, after all. Mei Chang/Alphonse Elric. Science Fiction AU.
five knives: In which Ed and Al are Ishvalan on their mother's side, immortal on their father's side, Mustang doesn't deserve this amount of Elric Rubbish, soulmarks exist only to cause pain, and the universe is nearly devoured by eldritch tentacles. Mei Chang/Alphonse Elric
we are more than we are (we are one): On a dark and stormy night, three things go terribly wrong. The first: that Ed and Al attempt human transmutation, and pay a toll for crossing the Gate. (I know, you knew that already) The second: that there is no suit of armour in the room. (I know, you've seen this one before) The third: that Winry is nearby, and intervenes. (two become one, become three)
everything is fricked (there are seven Edward Elrics): In which Alphonse gets his body back far earlier than in canon, the Stop-The-Amestris-Death-Circle team does their best, Scieska's conspiracy theories turn out to be true, and Mustang becomes increasingly uncertain of the number of Edward Elrics in the world.
the inevitable fourteenth: On your fourteenth birthday, you swap bodies with your soulmate. This is interesting, to say the least, for Alphonse and Mei. It's a downright disaster for Lust and Havoc. Mei Chang/Alphonse Elric, Lust/Jean Havoc (once I finish writing the second chapter at least)
Avatar: the Last Airbender
not this time: In which Zuko realizes what's wrong with the Fire Nation and becomes the Blue Spirit three years early, Sokka is probably not an earthbender, both boys cause incredible amounts of concern and confusion to their parental figures, soulmarks are a thing, Azula steals her brother's redemption arc, and Captain Rei did not sign up for this. Zuko/Sokka
Yep, just one ATLA fic lol

Collaborator Sociality
A friend recently asked me if I could recommend any scholar in memory studies for a conference she is organizing for next year, since she knows this is one of my fields. I honestly cannot. Having been through the past 8 months and witnessed the culture of obedience in the academe, I do not know any career academic that I truly respect and trust politically at this point. Against this backdrop, I was working on a project on the politics of divestment campaigns in the imperial core and trying to think through the affective dimension of things. I picked up some of the articles in the recently published issue of Parallax on “feeling implicated” as a political affect. Michael Rothberg wrote an interesting introduction to the issue, elaborating his thoughts on how affect theory can contribute to an understanding of the implicated Subject’s entanglement with violent institutions, systems, and structures. I searched him up, thinking that there’s no way a scholar of the memory of the Holocaust can be pro-resistance, and here we go, I found an open solidarity letter he wrote for someone (see below). A boring and typical liberal Zionist anti-fascist approach to “pro-Palestine” solidarity. Meanwhile, he’s also one of those FJP members at UCLA who signed on to their department letter against the university admin’s use of police force against student protestors in the past months. A part of me feels like it would be interesting to put his intellectual project in perspective of his (classic FJP) political positionality.
Tumblr media
I remember bro Diallo said something like this: under a system of oppression, there are only three types of people among the oppressed, those who resist, those who submit, and those who collaborate. You side with the resistors, educate and help the submitted, and the collaborators are your enemies. Approaching this with the intentionality of collective study, however, I wonder what else is to be said and thought about when it comes to things like divestment. It is probably time for a conversation about whether or not divestment is collaborative with the colonizer. And my whole point is that it is. To produce critical knowledge that examines the movement with a certain kind of sobriety, I look to models like classist safety (formerly firstgensafety) on Instagram. I really hate the wishy-washy academic type who talks about accountability theoretically but when it comes down to actual politics, their liberal upper class positionality will be exposed in a second. And divestment is kind of the litmus test to colonial politics, just as Palestine is to transitional justice. The hyper-excitement around and mobilizable-ness of divestment, with the majority middle class base supporting it, does not offer me any confidence.
Tumblr media
We are situated in a very weird moment, filled with the fantasies, learned helplessness, and melancholia of post-coloniality, while ongoing colonizations are happening. And so the majority of social justice discourses and their advocates look at Palestine from the standpoint of time travel, of anachronism. The rhetoric of anti-colonialism in the post-colonial present is just that, rhetoric. This is why anti-colonialism becomes absurd in the public imagination, and Palestine becomes something wildly disturbing, not merely due to the live streamed atrocities, but also its disruptive effect on the post-colonial mind that deems resistance as undesirable, impossible, or at least complicated. I am not even talking about the mass that are inculcated by settlerism as an ideology, btw I don’t even think if we can have a communism without settler colonialism, in response to J. Moufawad-Paul’s position**.** I find it disturbing that settlers who benefit from the system move to innocence so quickly by reducing settler colonialism to garrisons, a fundamentally militarized structure of conquest, thus bypassing other forms of settler colonialism in the ontology of the state, the metaphysics of historical progress, the civilizational missions of education, governance, and economy, etc., that they themselves are more deeply involved in.

To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often. Winston Churchill
Ledger books compelled American Airlines to diversify its business model and set greater store in passengers with the advent of the Air Mail Act of 1934. The pivot was an existential one since this market of travellers was no longer peripheral and the fiscal sustenance of airmail grew modest by comparison. Whereas in 1931 roughly 85 percent of revenue was under the auspices of CAM routes and 15 percent from passengers by 1935 a near parity of earnings prompted a transition towards society’s itinerants (Airports Council 2019). Three years later the operating revenue from passengers exceeded airmail by 45 percent. Airline route mileage manifestly rose then following this artifact of legislation. The red-letter reason behind why the industry came to be turbocharged gives vent to the incentive structure previously fostered under the Air Mail Act of 1930. In the most laconic of descriptions the former policy rewarded size. The larger the plane the better. Heretofore the remuneration of airmail hinged on weight but now it was instead premised on payload dimensions. To exploit this new parameter it was incumbent on airlines to maximize their cubic footage if weight was to be given short shrift. Space was the new currency and airlines began to adopt larger aircraft for the dual revenue stream of mail and passengers.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
At the outset American Airlines might have been a mail carrier with a few seats to spare but the incentivization of space heralded a Eureka moment turning the company into a bona fide gateway to the skies for passengers. The Air Mail Act of 1930 re-engineered the DNA of aviation overnight with the implicit premium on these patrons. This renaissance changed the optics of air travel from pragmatism to comfort akin to the experience atop the deck of an ocean liner. The industry no longer saw itself tethered to the transport sector as it began to interface with hospitality and tourism. Later in the postlapsarian world where an unholy alliance of business and government culminated in the Air Mail Act of 1934 American Airlines would liaise with the Douglas Aircraft Company to offset the new cutbacks. The airline harboured a desire to begin an overnight service for transcontinental flights upon an aircraft that was fast and spacious. Douglas was cowed into producing such a machine bejewelled with a dormitory for onboard passengers to sleep since the commission came from its largest buyer (Leary 1992). The DC-3 seating 21 to 32 souls would be based on its DC-2 sibling. Endowed with a cruising speed of 180mph the plane generated enough income bereft of any airmail revenue which itself began to free fall.
The newer industrial policy proved to be a clarion call for such innovation with the impulse to maximize earnings from passengers. From the ateliers of Douglas emerged a frontier technology so profound it redefined flight from a luxury into a utility. The socioeconomics was indelibly a function of the plane’s engineering. A range of 1,500 miles coupled with a lower cost per mile calculus and punctuated by larger capacity would in concert laud the aircraft as a runaway success. These metrics eclipsed the nearest competitor of Boeing’s 247 which could scarcely travel 750 miles. Douglas’ flying salon was leagues apart from other designs so that by 1939 over 90 percent of the world’s airline traffic boarded this skyward locomotive (Smithsonian Institution 2020). This prodigious figure and the DC-3 itself were the poster child of the Air Mail Acts. Claustrophobia may have once been the bête noire of air travel but it became an anachronism in this new age of aviation with the DC-3 as its protagonist. American Airlines capitalized on this aircraft’s magic within the brief interstice between the new Air Mail Act and 1938 when passenger miles rose 150 percent (Leary 1992: 39). From the company’s inception it had lamented a burn rate of $758k per annum until this first positive cash flow upon flying the DC-3 for just a short two years.
Tumblr media
The wisdom of remunerating capacity over weight was the original muse for the take-off of airlines and aircraft. Once the impetus of payload factored into the equation and airmail revenue subsequently dried up a race for innovation saw Douglas’ form factor adopted by the firmament of aviation. Passenger service would come to epitomize the Cinderella of airlines as it was no longer subordinated to airmail. The scale economies wrought by the Douglas DC-3 engendered this epiphenomenon as the greater number of passengers minimized operating costs. In pithier language it meant more people and cargo could be flown for less money at 27 cents per ton-mile (Isard 1945). Dramatic reductions in expenses were leaps and bounds ahead of rivals which went on to vouchsafe the latitude for curbing airfare. If the Air Mail Act of 1934 sought to democratize the skies then the DC-3 prosecuted the mission. Even the aircraft’s rationalization of fuel and range saw fewer landing fees and less layovers that reduced overhead by circumventing ground crews and their wages. The fiscal advantages of counting this plane amongst a fleet spoke to why it conquered the skies in short order. American Airlines’ own alacrity of procurement in droves would be what fortified its competitive advantage over marketshare.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So the seesaw of industrial policy nourished commercial aviation by the paternalism of government until airlines and manufacturers had matured enough to optimize their revenue streams. By the time the proverbial noose of the Great Depression tightened around airmail contracts companies had already outgrown their dependency. Leaner earnings decoupled the industry from government as the former embraced passenger service to fill the void. In 1934 airlines flew a meagre 475k passengers but by 1940 this number soared over 146 percent. The economic imperatives of the contraction in the business cycle abreast of the sunk costs in payload-friendly aircraft found opportunity in whisking the middle class away to faraway destinations. The fanfare around airmail had begun to give way from its heyday as its viability waned which the Air Mail Act of 1934 symbolized. The spirit to defy gravity from commoners would instead be where airlines and manufacturers rediscovered their identity. Fleet expansions together with the proliferation of routes were obvious harbingers of this renewed focus on arousing the wanderlust of consumers. The planes themselves lent credence to this divergence bespoken by their plush interiors, berths and in-flight dining. The gimmicks knew no bounds in seducing passengers.

Noah has had a ton of names (time/dimension traveler) up until now but during his war nurse/spy days he was dubbed Needles. This is because he'd use needles xianxia style to strike and immobilize his targets, and then he'd round them up into a truck or smth and just dump them in front of his Captain. He was '16' at the time, and he remembered this from the first woman he considered a mother, but mastered the skill during his time in 1920s Shanghai. In modern day, he gets the 'cool super name' of Anachron, courtesy of the dramatic capes and kids in his life.
By contrast, his daughters Angelica and Evangeline are just Angie and Evie (in English, at least).
Reblog with a cool nickname of one of your paras
Personally I have Luca, a hot Portuguese dumbass and his nicknames are Lixian and Barbie Doll (cause he's Portuguese and well a Barbie doll)

Right. So. On to the actual story.
There are more people from timeline a on this particular adventure than in the timeline b crossover. First, we have Karl, because while there could theoretically be another way for the group to accidentally travel back in time and create an alternate timeline, it’s far easier to just include Karl.
Additionally, we have Sapnap, Quackity, Sam, Ponk, Antfrost, and Philza Minecraft. There are… a variety of reasons that I chose this particular set of people, but I’m gonna wait until they become relevant.
This would take place slightly before the Crimsonpocalypse, and definitely after the Traffic Stop Incident (the whole thing where Bad, Tommy, and Skeppy nearly got arrested by the Green Lanterns). So basically, everyone (except Phil) knows that Bad is Saint. Hence the meme I sent in discord earlier:
Tumblr media
(If the meme isn’t here, assume I forgot to add it after copy-pasting this from my notes app)
Further things that are important to note, timeline-wise: The audience and probably a decent chunk of the characters already know that Bad’s mom was a fallen angel. Ant hasn’t found out that the cats are actually eldritch entities. Also, while Ant, Sam, and Ponk all know that Bad is Saint, they don’t really have the best grasp of what that means, either in terms of the effect it has on Bad or Bad’s role in larger events. This is probably where that starts to sink in. Additionally, Sapnap definitely knows about the connections between his, Bad’s, and Puffy’s backstories at this point.
I’m not 100% sure how this particular configuration of people ended up all time traveling back to 1096 together. If anyone has any ideas, please feel free to share. I’m thinking maybe Karlnapity was planning on going on a date or something and the others accidentally tagged along? Somehow? Either way, when they arrive, they decide to embrace the opportunity and stay for a bit. (Phil starts getting nostalgic. He’s been around for a while.)
Before they go to actually do anything, Karl gives everyone the whole speech about being careful not to mess with anything important. Don’t change anything you already know happened, don’t kill anyone, minor historical anachronisms are fine, just keep it small enough that future historians will assume it’s a hoax, etc., etc. (Sapnap and Quackity already know this because they’ve probably gone on several time travel adventures with Karl at this point).
Then, with that taken care of, they all head out and wander around a bit. Somehow, they end up killing a member of the Crimson’s cult. (My guess is, like, they get into a fight with the guy, and one of them accidentally causes a building to collapse or something and that’s how it happens).
Anyway, after that, they decide it’s probably best to head back. So they do. But, like when timeline b formed, it’s clear something’s gone wrong. Everyone sees flashes of events that never happened in their timeline, Karl quickly explains what’s happening, and they all brace for the worst.
Sapnap finds himself in the corner of a dimly lit bedroom. A child is being tucked into bed. By some miracle, everyone is facing away from him, so he goes unnoticed.
The child demands a story. A specific story, one he has heard many times before. His parents oblige. The story tells of the rise of a power hungry and tyrannical ruler. It tells of desperation and battles and great losses. It tells of miracles, of portals opening at the last second, of allowing whole villages of refugees through before collapsing, trapping the tyrant who chased them in the dimension from which they came. The story tells of how the family’s ancestors came to this planet from the Nether. The story tells of the Crimson.
Eventually the child drifts off, and Sapnap is left standing in the corner, trying to process this. They’re speaking as if the Crimson is a threat long past, something no one has considered a threat for millennia, as opposed to just decades, like in his timeline. Before the parents leave, he clears his throat. They turn towards him. He watches a flurry of emotions cross their faces. Shock, giving way to defensiveness, (they move between him and the child, which he thinks is fair, given the circumstances). Then defensiveness gives way to confusion.
Sapnap starts to try to explain, as best he can. The father looks back and forth between him and the child and the mother, as if he’s trying to piece together some sort of puzzle.
“Wait… Sapnap?” he interrupts.
Sapnap stops.
He never told them his name.
Realization dawns on both his face… and his mother’s.

Loki Series Meta/Theories
Variants
Variants --> Step off that path --> Creates a nexus event --> Gives off Nexus Energy
Variants (in general) give off Variance Energy --> Which is how the TVA can detect and tract a rogue Variant and still not know who they are
If a rogue Variant (i.e., ‘Sylvie’) enters a point in time but has yet to do anything to change it, it will still create a branching timeline (I assume on the foundation that they aren’t supposed to be there in the first place); they will still give off Variance Energy but no Nexus Energy (i.e., as seen in Wisconsin during the Ren Fair. The Minuteman said that there was a “Variant detected” which led them to the tent but “no Nexus energy”)
If a rogue Variant (i.e., ‘Sylvie’) enters a point in time and has done something to alter the course of the ‘sacred timeline’ (i.e., give a young girl a piece of candy from 2050) than it will create a branching timeline; they will still give off Variance Energy, and, in theory, the event should give off Nexus Energy. (i.e., in France 1549, the Hunter says that the murdered team was “respond[ing] to a routine Nexus Event” = should equal the presence of Nexus Energy)
Temporal Aura: Is described like a time-travel fingerprint/DNA, which is specific to each Person (and there for all of their possible Variants).
In the first episode, while in France 1549, Mobius tells a Hunter to scan the Anachronism (Kablooie) for “sequence period and any hints of temporal aura” à The Hunter says “you know we won’t find anything.”
By 1x02, after the attack in Wisconsin, B-15 says “we’ve grabbed enough temporal aura to know its our Loki Variant”
How? By the time the first episode happens the attack in France 1549 had been the “6th attack that week”, and by the Hunter’s comment, there hadn’t been any Temporal Aura left behind in any of the previous attacks. So, how did they manage it?
IF Sylvie is truly Lady Loki, it would explain why their Temporal Aura’s match
IF Sylvie isn’t truly Lady Loki, and she really is a creation of his (as she is in the comics), in which he gave his own energy for (think a clone), it’s possible, that like DNA, they would be similar enough to read as the same.
IF Sylvie isn’t Lady Loki or some creation of Loki’s, then she must be managing to copy or duplicate his somehow.
Anachronisms: Are things that aren’t supposed to exist in a current time (i.e., the Kablooie candy; the weird device/weapon from Oklahoma (from the 3rd Millennium))
Sequence Period: A test that is run on anachronisms to determine where they are from in the timeline (i.e., it was run on Kablooie to determine the years it was produced on Earth)
Reset Charges: “Prune the effected radius of a branch timeline, allowing time to heal all its wounds”. Loki says it’s a nice way of saying “disintegrate everything in its vicinity”.
How exactly the Reset Charges work and to what extent they are effective is something we can’t confidently say at this point. We still don’t even know what happens after the Reset Charge does its job. Based on the name, it sounds like the device should ‘reset’ the area to the moment before a person stepped off their chosen path. However, from what we saw in Wisconsin, the Reset Charge appeared to disintegrate objects and people (but the ground remained), not reverse time. I think it’s possible that when a ‘Nexus Event’ occurs, it gets built from the center of the ‘Nexus Event’ and outwards. In other words, this new timeline, for a while, only consists of the area immediately affected by the Variant or ‘Nexus Event’. As the side effects of those Variant’s actions cascade (i.e., the butterfly effect), the more this new reality expands. Mobius himself explains that “Nexus events destabilize the time flow. The Branch is still changing and growing so you have to show up in real time”, which would support my theory. Because, unlike the Sacred Timeline, this branched timeline isn’t fleshed out yet. You can’t move back or forward in time, because it’s not stabilized yet – meaning, the future isn’t written. They say that Reset Charges work on “the effected radius” of a branched timeline, because it really is only a small amount of time that has been affected.  This explains why it’s so easy to “prune” a branched timeline – and also why there’s a time limit. We know, from Loki’s lessons with Miss Minutes, that once a Nexus event/branch timeline goes past the ‘Red Line’, the TVA can no longer reset the nexus event. This ‘Red Line’ could possibly be the point at which this branched timeline has become to fleshed out for erasing that one small radius to effectively destroy the entire timeline itself. Almost like, it will take on a life of its own. I also think that the level of the ‘Nexus Event’ or what the Variant did, effects how fast the branch grows. This would explain why they had several minutes in Wisconsin before they mentioned it growing too close to the ‘Red Line’, and yet when ‘Sylvie’ ‘bombed’ the Sacred Timeline, the branches escalated rather quickly. Because instead of removing something that was never supposed to be there, she’s removing things that should have been there.
The Infinity Stones:
Why are there so many?
It makes sense, considering their immense power, that they would be a popular source of timeline branches?
Why don’t they work in the TVA?
Despite the propaganda that the TVA might want to make you (and Loki) believe, it has nothing to do with the “formidable” power of the TVA itself. Instead, it has everything to do with LOCATION. Though many of the details regarding the ‘infinity gems’ in the comics can get confusing and changes depending on the writer, one reoccurring theme is that they can only work in the universe it originated from. So, if someone were to travel outside of the current universe (i.e., to a parallel universe AKA different timeline), the ‘infinity gems’ would become powerless. In fact, Endgame does make reference to their ‘infinity stones’ limitations. The Ancient One says that the Infinity Stones "create what you experience as the flow of time”, which alludes that they are, at least, bound to the nature of time itself (and, in extension, to that specific universe alone). Now, the Ancient one uses the term “reality” when she speaks of “branches”, but we can assume, based on what we know from Loki, that what she’s really talking about is branched timelines.
Where is the TVA located?
While that still remains a mystery, its likely that it exists outside the flow of time itself (Think Legends of Tomorrow). If that is true, then once a stone is confiscated from a Variant and taken to TVA headquarters it would become ineffective. Moreover, if the stones/gems are tied to the timeline/universe itself, then if the specific ‘branched’ timeline (potential multiverse) they were retrieved from, is pruned – per protocol – then that would make them useless even if Loki was able to reenter the ‘Sacred Timeline’.
What does that mean for dimensions?
Now, we know from Doctor Strange, that the ‘infinity stones’ are still able to work in dimensions that exist concurrently in that same timeline (Afterall, Strange was able to create a time loop after entering the Dark Dimension to defeat Dormammu). So as long as time is still matching up, the stones appear to be in good working order.
This focus on “chaos”
Chaos is mentioned several times throughout the first episodes of Loki. I wouldn’t be surprised, that like Thor, he comes into more than just his Mischief moniker and injects chaos back into this world of “only order”. If new universes are considered chaos in terms of the TVA, then by recreating the multiverse – and therefore reestablishing free will – Loki would be considered the origin of all chaos.

Y'all have no idea how CLOSE I am to writing a "Land of the Lost"/YGO fusion because Kaiba decided to dink around with alternate dimensions and time travel and because it makes me feel like someone should rub his nose in the consequences.
*pinches fingers together* THIS CLOSE.
(Features: alternate timeline!Atem riding an allosaurus, complex and probably unfounded hypotheses on the flow of space and time, several purposely anachronic elements, and general crack sprinkled with science. Maybe some Prideshipping because I am once again down that rabbit hole [Thanks, Pridecember 2020]. Who knows?)

@fixedxpoint continued from here
“maybe my whole plan was to make sure you would notice.” jack was not one to be shy. being coy in nature made flirtations such as this easy and fun. though there was something almost “otherwordly” just being in the same vicinity. maybe this stranger had more to be seen if they got to talking more.        “now that you have. maybe we could make a more formal introduction?”
With so many enemies on the lookout for him, Loki was naturally paranoid of any interest in him, despite it usually being something he craved. He had a feeling the Tesseract had helped him cross dimensions rather than time, for up until maybe now there had been no sniff of the TVA.
This man was an anachronism, which meant he was high enough up in the Authority to flout the rules, or some more innocent explanation: a collector; a rogue traveller like himself.

Character based off of New Years, she represents the constant change in my art. Her name is Delta and she can travel to any dimension she wants She’s 1920s based and has multiple anachronisms in her design to represent her not belonging anywhere.

Avalance Prompts
I saw some people in the tag wondering about prompts, so here are some:
More Small Stuff:
- Ava returns to the Time Bureau and freaks out over how quickly she can call Sara again without seeming desperate. Ava calling Sara to “check up” and Sara calling her out that she has no good reason to call. Ideally like a sequence of all the calls Ava makes to Sara.
- Ava “walk of shame” trying to sneak out of Sara’s room and getting caught by the Legends and being invited to breakfast.
- Ava zapping directly into Sara’s quarters to brief her on some mission and Sara is in the bathtub. Sara stays in the tub and tells her to just keep talking. Ava has considerable trouble finishing her briefing.
- OR: Ava zaps in and finds Sara with a historical girl. She gives her a huge lecture about not sleeping with historical people. Sara calls her out on being jealous.
- Sara and Ava have a heart to heart about Sara losing people under her command and Ava comforts her.
- Sara and Ava have a heart to heart about the Mallus dimension and Sara worrying that the bloodlust might come back.
- Ava accompanies the Legends on some sort of historical mission (your choice on whatever historical period clothes you think are particularly hot), Sara helps Ava gets dressed and compliments her. UST, UST; UST (like let’s say, helping her tie a bodice)
- Just historical undercover sheenanigans. Maybe they have to sneak into the castle of some lusty duke or king, who asks them to kiss. And just as their lips get close and closer Sara suddenly turns around and beats up their host (because if she’s gonna kiss Ava, it’s gonna be on their own terms and not because some creep ordered them to). Ava is a bit frazzled and just as they have retrieved what they are looking for and are on their way out Ava admits she kinda would have liked a kiss, so Sara backs her against a wall and kisses her.
- Sara finds out that Ava has been reading her file (Ava has it stored in her desk and keeps looking at it). Like funny stuff, Sara reading it and snatching it away as Ava tries to get it back. Maybe Ava admits that she has visited Sara’s past before?
- Just Sara and Ava on some stakeout on a mission arguing over what music to play.
- Ava has never seen <insert iconic favorite band of your choice> live and Sara convinces her to attend one of their concerts while they travel back in time (Ava is resistant at first because you are not supposed to use time travel like that but Sara tells her to lighten up). Bonus if there’s dancing or at least cuddling/putting her arm around Ava during the concert.
More Complex Stuf:
- The Legends want to break Rip out of jail. Either Sara goes to seduce Ava to retrieve a key or Ava catches them in the act and ends up helping them out. Bonus points if Sara ties Ava up in the end to make it believable that Ava was not helping them and gives her a big goodbye kiss before she leaves.
- Ava accompanies the Legends on some historical mission where they meet a historical lesbian icon of your choice. Ava is a huge fangirl over said icon. Sara teases her about it but it leads to some serious discussion about their idols and orientation.
- The Legends call Ava for help because Mallus managed to mind control/bloodlust Sara and they have to get her back. Ava gets heavily involved and is very instrumental in retrieving Sara. (Maybe evil!Sara captures and taunts Ava? Maybe Ava’s twu wuv helps bring Sara back? Maybe some other Legend member comments to Ava that she seems like she’s in love with Sara?)
- Ava calls the legends for help, it seems that thing where the anachronisms affecting things from her past has hit her too and there’s an anachronism from her past. Sara accompanies Ava as they visit her past (meeting the parents? meeting a younger Ava?).
- Alternatively there’s an anachronism in Sara’s past and Ava insists she come along because it’s too dangerous when they intersect with their own past, they need the outside support/opinion. Maybe Ava runs across a pre-Legends Sara who openly hits on Ava?
- Or maybe on her own goes to Sara’s past, past!Sara flirts with her, Ava is very tempted but turns her down because it would be wrong, Ava still learns a lot about Sara in the process, at the end she goes to meet up with the real!Sara. (or again, the other way around, maybe Sara goes to Ava’s past and meets Ava in her rebellious punk phase (pre Time Bureau, doesn’t know Sara), where Ava does everything to try to get into Sara’s pants). Again, Sara turns her down gently. Maybe Ava comes in in the middle of the mission and hopelessly embarassed about her past self.
(yeah I don’t know either how they ended up so Ava heavy)
All prompts free for the taking if anybody wants them. No credit necessary.
