Angel meets a one-eyed woman outside a club; they're both in line for the same vending machine. She's got sick tattoos and they've got the same taste in drugs; by the end of the night they're leaning on each other to stay upright, giggling about some loser they conned into paying for their latest round of drinks.
"Y'know," she slurs, sinking a little further into him, "I was pretty pissed off when I realized I was in Hell. I mean, I knew why, but, like, I dunno, I thought it was gonna suck, you know? But now that I know there are nightclubs and bitches like you down here, it can't be that bad. You know?"

Chapter Two of My Body Is An Orphanage (We Take Everyone In) is on AO3 now! Featuring: Is Vox worried about him or just being a creep? Who introduced cellphones to Hell? And what did "punk" mean when Angel was alive?
The timeline is a little wobbly since I'm pretty sure Cherri died before Velvette, and Angel's first phone should probably be a 90s brick and not a flip phone... just go with it.
Chapter CW: alcohol/drug use & addiction, abusive relationship, sex work, explicit sexual content, dubious consent, sexual assault, non-consensual drug use (implied drugged drink), Val's pheromones. The roughest part of the chapter is a post-assault scene where Angel realizes a drink was probably drugged. This chapter also majorly features the ups and downs of a (physically, sexually, financially, emotionally) abusive relationship. As always, take care of yourselves my loves <3
