The app would bring up a map based on your location, and on the map you could see various icons that would indicate what type of file (audio, note, art) and the file could only open when you got to a certain radius of the pin.

Some history on graffiti - "art that is written, painted or drawn on a wall or other surface, usually without permission and within public view.
Ancient graffiti displayed phrases of love declarations, political rhetoric, and simple words of thought, compared to today's popular messages of social and political ideals.
The eruption of Mount Vesuvius preserved graffiti in Pompeii, which includes Latin curses, magic spells, declarations of love, insults, alphabets, political slogans, and famous literary quotes, providing insights into ancient Roman street life."
I think that's such an interested way of looking at Graffiti, that it provides insights into our current street life. And I like the idea of it being preserved in Pompeii so people nowadays can look back and see what was on people's minds at the time. I think it would be very cool to do the same thing nowadays except in the digital realm. I feel like there are pros and cons to digital graffiti, pro: you are not physically vandalizing, con: only those with devices and the app can view. Which could be kind of a pro because then it's like a secret lil digitally graffiti world.
On the app users would be able to choose whether to post anonymously to protect their identity or they could use a "tag" so if a user continuously posted each of their artworks would be identifiable by that tag, just like you would see street graffiti.

DAY 2: Arrive in Sorrento
This morning after breakfast, your group will travel south by private bus to Sorrento. En route you will visit the ruins of Pompeii, the ancient city destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. After the eruption, the city and its citizens were deeply covered by ash and volcanic pumice rock – and then left untouched for 1600 years until Pompeii was discovered. The result – after much excavation – was a remarkable view of what a city in ancient Rome probably looked like. So very much had been preserved in those packed layers of ash and pumice. DAY 4: Arrive at Ferry
After breakfast your group will check out and depart for an Amalfi Coast sightseeing tour. Enjoy the drive along one of Europe's most beautiful shorelines. Brightly colored houses hug the cliffs amidst lush gardens and olive-green slopes, which hover over the clear sea below. Explore the charming town of Amalfi, seeing historic buildings built between the 10th and 13th centuries. After free time for lunch and exploring, your group will travel to the port in Naples. Tonight you will take a comfortable, overnight ferry to Sicily.
Taormina – 2 nights
DAY 5: Arrive in Taormina
You will wake up this morning in the city of Palermo. A local guide will meet your group in the ferry terminal and accompany it to the hotel with sightseeing en route. Your private bus will travel along the coastal road to Taormina. En route your group will stop in the historic town of Cefalu, renowned for its narrow streets and elaborate house decorations. Continue to a town founded in 395 BC, the Roman-Greek town of Tindari.
Here you will visit the sanctuary of the Madonna of Tindari. The famous Black Madonna has been attributed for granting favors to those who pray. Continue on to the coastal city of Messina before arriving to tonight's hotel in the perched town of Taormina. The afternoon is at leisure to explore Taormina. DAY 6:
This morning after breakfast at the hotel, your group will embark on a guided adventure to Mount Etna, the highest (elevation of approx. 10,000 feet) and largest active volcano in Europe. Your bus ride will take you to the opening of the lava flow and you will hear about the eruptions that have occurred in the last years. Return to Taormina in the early afternoon where you will have time to browse the linens and pottery that is locally produced. Evening at leisure.
Syracuse – 2 nights
DAY 7: Arrive in Syracuse
After breakfast and check-out, today your journey takes you to Southern Sicily. En route to the southern city of Syracuse (Siracusa), your group will stop in the lovely city of Catania, which is a center of business and finance on the island. Here you will get a taste of normal life in a Sicilian city. A local guide will give your group a guided tour of the city's main highlights, and afterwards you will have free time for lunch before re-boarding your private bus and continuing south to Syracuse, a Sicilian city best known for its cultural and artistic heritage of the ancient Greeks.
A UNESCO World Heritage City, Syracuse is home to remarkably Greek, Roman and Baroque architecture. Upon arrival to Syracuse your group will check-in at the hotel and have time to relax and begin looking around Syracuse. Tonight the group will have dinner together in a local restaurant.
DAY 8:
After breakfast a local guide will take your group on a sightseeing tour of this 2700-year-old city. Syracuse was once one of the most important cities in the ancient world. In fact, because of its wealth, power and cultural scene it was considered a rival of Athens. During your tour you will see the ancient Greek theatre – which is said to be the burial site of Archimedes, the Paradise Quarry, the Ropemakers' Cave, the Altar of Heron and the Roman amphitheatre (all sites are inside of the Archeological Site of the Neapolis "new city.")
After free time for lunch, your guide will take your group inside the fascinating Archeological Museum which contains dating from the Bronze Age to the 5th century BC. After the museum visit the remainder of the day is free for you to explore, to shop or to swim.
Agrigento – 2 nights
DAY 9: Arrive in Agrigento
After breakfast your group will check out and travel westward towards the Valley of the Temples. Your route will bring you through the historic town of Caltanissetta, and while here your group will visit its Norman Abbey of the Holy Spirit, which was constructed in the late 11th century. Afterwards enjoy some free time to have lunch and see the workshops of great Sicilian potteries and ceramics before continuing east to the historic city of Agrigento, which will be your base city to explore Sicily's famed Valley of the Temples. Group dinner tonight in a local restaurant.
DAY 10:
After breakfast in the hotel your group will meet a local guide in the lobby and depart on what just might become your favorite sightseeing excursion on this trip. You'll begin traveling west by private bus to Selinunte, an ancient Greek, coastal city that today contains ruins of an acropolis and numerous temples. The city was founded in the seventh century BC and was effectively destroyed in 409 BC by the Carthaginians. Selinunte is set in a tranquil and scenic setting, with an ambience that offers a good impression of what an ancient Greek city was probably really like.
After a break for lunch, the tour will continue with a visit to the awe-inspiring Valley of the Temples. Inside this UNESCO World Heritage Site there are fantastic ruins of temples, cemeteries, houses, streets, auditoria, a small amphitheater and a fine archeological museum. In the late afternoon your tour will finish at the hotel, and the evening is at leisure.
Palermo – 2 nights
Day 11: Arrive in Palermo
After breakfast and check-out, travel north by private bus to Sicily's capital city of Palermo. Upon arrival your group will meet a local guide for a tour of Palermo's highlights including the Duomo, the Palace of the Normans and Church of St John of the Hermits. Day 12:

DAY 2:
After breakfast in the hotel, meet a local guide in the lobby who will lead your group on a morning city tour of Europe's fashion capital by private bus. Milan is home to top designer flagship stores such as Armani, Versace, Prada and Gucci. This city is also extremely rich in history (particularly Medieval and Renaissance). During your tour, you'll visit inside the largest Cathedral in Italy, the "Duomo di Milano," which took almost 600 years to build.
This afternoon is yours to soak up Milanese culture. If you're an art fan – consider paying a visit to the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie. This UNESCO World Heritage Site houses Leonardo di Vinci's 15th-century mural The Last Supper. Alternatively, you could visit the Pinacoteca di Brera, one of the finest art museums in all of Italy. Como – 3 nights
DAY 3: Arrive in Como
After breakfast in the hotel, your group will check out and travel north by private bus. Enjoy this very scenic drive through Italy's Lombardy region to the Italian Lakes District. Writers from Hemingway to Goethe have immortalized the ethereal beauty of this area – even their words cannot seem to do it justice!
Today you'll visit a 17th-century villa for a tasting of locally-produced wine and olive oil before arriving to lovely Lake Como. This is one of the many lakes that fan out across Northern Italy – and a favorite haunt of the rich and famous. For some amazing views, ride the funicular high above the town of Como or, if time permits, take a ferry ride on the lake to one of several other charming villages. Group dinner in the hotel's restaurant.
DAY 4:
This is a day to get outside and experience the beautiful surroundings of Italy's northern landscape. Following breakfast, strap on your walking shoes and jump on your private bus with fellow travelers for a transfer to a local hiking trail for gorgeous views of mountains unfolding into low woodlands and sparkling lakeshore.
After soaking up the natural beauty and fresh air, transfer to the town of Bellagio where you have time on your own to enjoy a well-deserved lunch at a local cafe. Many consider this the most beautiful part of the lake. After lunch spend the afternoon exploring Bellagio before returning to Como by private bus with your group members. DAY 5:
After breakfast in the hotel, today your group will learn all about Northern Italian cuisine during a private cooking class in a local restaurant. Although you can find delicious Italian specialties like pizza and lasagna all over the country, you will discover there is a wide array of local dishes worth sampling! Follow along as your chef-instructor shares the subtleties of how to prepare Northern Italian cuisine and try to wait until the end of your demonstration before devouring this tasty feast.
Note: Regarding cooking classes, small groups can generally include these quite easily on itineraries. Simply because of classroom space, larger groups should either divide into two smaller groups – or elect to have a cooking demonstration instead (which is still very interesting).
Depending on what time the cooking class finishes, if your group has time this afternoon – we recommend visiting either the town of Varenna or Menaggio with your private bus. Evening is at leisure.
Santa Margherita Ligure – 2 nights
DAY 6: Arrive in Santa Margherita Ligure
After breakfast and check-out, transfer south by private bus to the famed Cinque Terre region on Italy's Mediterranean coast. Your first stop along this renowned stretch of coastline is Genoa, the birthplace of Christopher Columbus. Here a local guide will meet your group for a 2-hour tour of Genoa's historic Old Town, which a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Parma – 2 nights
DAY 8: Arrive in Parma
After breakfast the first half of today is yours to relax by the sea or take advantage of some last-minute sightseeing. Take a morning water taxi to Portofino. The Duke and Duchess of Windsor honeymooned at the Hotel Splendido, and years later Richard Burton proposed to Elizabeth Taylor there.
Following your restorative stay on the coast, it's time to transfer by private bus to the Emilia Romagna region where your group will get to experience the agricultural side of Italian life by staying on a farm in the hills just outside of Parma. After check in and time to freshen up, tonight your group will experience authentic, local cuisine enhanced by the intimate surroundings of your farm accommodations.
DAY 9:

𝔸𝔹ℂ ℍ𝕖𝕒𝕕𝕔𝕒𝕟𝕠𝕟𝕤 ! — 𝐿𝓊𝒸𝓀𝓎.
Alignment: What would be their D&D alignment? How might it come into play?
Lucky’s alignment is Lawful Evil. He adheres to a particular code and believes in order, but mostly because he believes it is the best way of realizing his evil wishes.
Beverage: What do they most like to drink, and why?
Any kind of wine. As a human, he had a particular taste for more bitter wines, since those were the only available ones during the turning point of early history.
Co-Habitate: Do they live with anyone? What’s “need to know” before moving in?
His... Partner Manon. Before she managed to soften him, touching or reorganizing his things would’ve been a major fuck-up. He preferred — and still does, to an extent — his belongings in a specific order at all times. Nowadays, he’s more lenient about what goes where, but he can still be finicky depending on the object’s worth.
Decor: What kind of home do they keep? Are there any defining details?
Lucky’s home is a two-story beach house that he had painted black and dark blue for no reason other than to stand out. Drapes cover every window, rendering the beach view useless, and his furniture ranges from the mid-19th century to the late 20th, with a lot of his dishware dating to the 50s. His oldest possession is a vase artifact from Greece which he was gifted in 331 B.C.E. by a wealthy soldier under Alexander the Great’s command.
Escape: What do they do to destress? How successful is it?
When a spark of optimism still resided within him, Lucky found an interest in Buddhism, and while he’s never been a particularly spiritual man, he did find great comfort in meditating. It’s worked for him for many, many years, although it can never quite quench his bloodlust entirely.
Fluff: What hits their soft spot? Does anything turn them into emotional goo?
Almost nothing. The only thing that’s come close to breaking him down that much has been Manon, something about her softness and ineptness whenever it comes to the world around her charming him just enough to feel an underdeveloped form of empathy.
Grudge: How bad does an insult go over? Do they hold a grudge longer?
Lucky has been called many things in his years, so nothing really sticks with him. He can’t even remember the last time he was truly offended by something, but it was probably something one of his siblings said.
Hobby: What’s something they do for fun that might be surprising?
He watches the soap opera General Hospital religiously. Every. Single. Day. Watching humans overact and exaggerate their menial lives is so entertaining to him, he can’t get enough of it.
Insomnia: What’s their sleeping schedule like? Snorer? Sound sleeper?
He doesn’t sleep.
Jaded: Do they buy into the “happily ever after” ideal? What’s their standard?
Absolutely not. There is no ‘after’ when you live endlessly. After what? His fiftieth life has fallen through and he must abandon another pitiful creature he admires? It doesn’t exist, but it would be lovely to think it if just for a moment.
Kin: What’s their role among their relations? Do they consider others family?
He only considers his blood siblings family. As a child, he felt like he was the most beloved and ruled over his siblings, younger and older, with a keen eye. He’s lost that concentration in his thousands of years, somehow the most astray now, which is really how he prefers it.
Law: What do they think about abiding rules? Are they selective about it?
The rules have changed so drastically and so often over time, that Lucky could never hope to memorize them all in time before they changed again, so he’s created his own rules that he is strict about abiding; he lives in a way that he feels will benefit him the most, no matter what damage or hurt it inflicts upon others, but he also remains under a thin veil of subtlety that keeps him off the radar.
Magic: In a magic series or not, are they accepting, or is each instance a shock?
He’s been acquainted to magic for much longer than he’d like to be.
Network: Are they connected to the people? How much do they reach out to others?
Not quite. He knows plenty of people, but connection is such a tricky word. He can only remember half of their names, relying on their insistence that they know him instead. He only reaches out if he needs something from them.
Offspring: What kind of parent would they be? Would they prefer one, or multiple?
Children are not on his to-do-list, and never will be.
Pistol: Is this character skilled with a weapon? What’s their opinion of violence?
He used to be very skilled at archery, not minding violence at all, as it was once a part of everyday life.
Question: How often do they feel doubt? What topics are they defensive about?
Not too often, but he will get irritated whenever his sanity or morals are called into question.
Reminder: How are they at remembering daily needs? What falls through the cracks?
Lucky only remembers to feed, other than that his daily life is lackadaisical. He can do whatever he pleases and doesn’t stress too much on what needs to be done.
Sing: Do they like music? Do they listen often/sing/hum/play songs in their head?
He enjoys classical music, hardly enjoying more modern music. He never uses the radio and owns records of Beethoven, Mozart, etc. that he listens to occasionally.
Touch: How do they handle contact? Is their personal bubble big?
Unless it’s clearly insinuating something intimate, Lucky is mostly uncomfortable with ‘intense' physical contact (hugging, cuddling.) He will occasionally initiate it but only whenever he’s extremely happy or relieved, which is another rare event.
Upcoming: How much do they think of the future? Do they make long-term plans?
The future doesn’t exist, and it never has for Lucky. All that is ahead of him is repetition and wine.
Vice: What bad habits do they have? Is there something they would be ashamed of?
Nothing he’d be ashamed of, but he has an awful habit of leaving people high and dry. It’s come to bother him in the past, even, something he knows he should touch up on but always forgetting it’s a problem until someone else comes knocking on his door asking where he’s been.
Wardrobe: What’s their fashion style? Do they have any staple pieces?
Dark clothes, almost always black. Button-ups, turtle-necks, sweaters, long coats and jackets, dress pants, clunky boots, and weirdly enough... Eyeliner.
X-Ray: How’s their health? Any problem areas? Do they take care of themselves?
Despite being dead, he’s in relatively good health. He takes extremely good care of his corpse.
Yack: What’s their favorite thing to talk about? What do they go on about?
His time spent in Pompeii briefly before the Mount Vesuvius eruption in 79 C.E. He never actually experienced the eruption, but he always tells other supernaturals that he was there and escaped from the black plumes and falling ashes without so much as a mark. Aside from that it would definitely be General Hospital.
Zodiac: What’s their astro sign? Does it fit? What would you pick, if it’s unknown?
Lucky is a Sagittarius, which fits him quite well. He is extremely honest, independent, and philosophical when it suits him. He isn’t as optimistic or friendly as others under Sagittarius, however.

Blood Memory

Hunched in the bath, four ibuprofen gulped
too late to dull the muscle cramping
to sate a god who thirsts
monthly for his slake of iron,
I am just a body bleeding in bad light.
But after an hour, as the wrenching wanes,
I run more water in, remembering
when I was a girl my mother knew
one cure for this pain
and, while I cried,
carried me mugs of tea and whiskey
clouded with sugar cubes.
In a palm of pinkish water, I scoop up
a burl of my flesh, almond-sized.
The tissues settle, livid
red to nearly black as I tilt my hand
against the light to see it
glistening like a ruby cabochon,
appealing as it appalls,
recalling one future, years ago,
that would have borne itself on my blood
had I allowed.
The question swims into view:
would I harbor another life now?
Last spring, I sat above the harbor in Naples
with three friends whose children,
after a week’s vacation, were all
safely back at school. Palpable,
the holiday mood
a morning freed from offspring brought!
(I’d felt a guilty pleasure I’d go home
not to cook someone’s lunch,
but to read.)
Still, it wasn’t long before our talk’s
compass needle trembled north
toward the motherland:
soccer games in the Flegrean fields,
ancient sun
reborn and swaddled putto-pink
in mist above the fumaroles;
rococo
messes of gelato;
first words, whose honeyed gravity
weighed on me
like a toddler’s head
snugged below my chin in sleep.
Then, Serena described
troubles at her daughter’s school.
Their new principal refused to pay
the local gang’s protection money.
And so, the teachers
arrived at work one day to find
the hutches where the children kept
rabbits and a little clutch of chicks
overturned.
From the playground swings
the throat-cut animals hung.
Next time we come for you
someone had written across the door in blood.
Now the parents wanted
the principal to pay:
that was how these things were done.
Screw her ideals,
Serena heard.

Spain is currently undergoing an exciting winemaking renaissance, and it’s on the island territory of Tenerife that many of the most compelling bottles are made.
The largest of the seven Canary Islands, Tenerife is split into north and south territories by the dominating volcanic Mount Teide. The southern half is hotter, drier, and sunnier, making it a popular year-round destination for hordes of European tourists. The north, by contrast, is cooler and more humid, providing the perfect conditions for high-quality viticulture.
Tenerife’s well-established wine route and the majority of its bodegas (wineries) are located in the northeast of the island, close to the city of San Cristóbal de La Laguna. Visitors can enjoy an array of wines made using indigenous varieties, including the delicate Listán Blanco and Listán Negro and Baboso Negro, which is vinified into powerful, flinty reds. Arguably, the most exciting bottles currently arrive from Listán Prieto, an ancient red variety that’s enjoying a resurgence around the world.
When the time calls for a break from wine tasting, there’s sea, sun, and sand to savor on the south of the isle. For adventure seekers, Teide offers numerous hiking trails and serves as the winter training camp for many of the world’s top professional cyclists.
4. Uco Valley, Argentina
A high-altitude sub-region within Argentina’s Mendoza province, the Uco Valley offers breathtaking views of the Andes mountains and some of the finest wines currently coming out of South America. While Argentine Malbec is recognized and enjoyed worldwide, a number of winemakers within the Uco Valley are working to establish new sub-appellations and highlight the complex terroir that often goes under-appreciated. Many of these wines reach international markets, but a visit to the region offers the unique opportunity to taste single-vineyard bottlings and boutique projects that aren’t produced in large enough quantities to export.
There are a number of small, sophisticated hotels in the Uco Valley that cater to the growing enotourism market. Properties such as Casa de Uco, Casa Petrini, and Casa de Huéspedes situate guests within a stone’s throw of the best winery experiences, including Bodegas Salentein, Familia Zuccardi, and Alfa Crux.
Bookend your visit with stays in the city of Mendoza, which receives flights from Buenos Aires (Argentina), Panama City (Panama), Lima (Peru) and Santiago (Chile). Though relatively modest in size, the city boasts extensive dining options, with world-class meals prepared by Francis Mallman at the critically acclaimed 1884; cozy, family-style restaurants, and classic parrillas (steakhouses).
3. Piedmont, Virginia
Once home to Thomas Jefferson, who, more than 200 years ago, had grand visions of a thriving wine industry in his home state and country, Virginia’s hilly Piedmont region has established itself as an attractive, convenient destination for American wine tourism.
Centered around the city of Charlottesville, a few hours drive southwest of Washington D.C., the region is home to the Monticello Wine Trail. Named after the former estate of President Jefferson, the trail comprises over 30 member wineries, each located within a 25-mile drive of Charlottesville. The list of members includes all the state’s best producers, such as Barboursville Vineyards, Jefferson Vineyards, Early Mountain Vineyards, and Veritas Vineyard & Winery.
Each of these properties offers a sophisticated visitor experience, with vineyard tours, tasting rooms, and award-winning restaurants. A visit to these or any one of the 35 wineries that make up the trail should be the focus of your trip. Alternatively, annual events, including the Taste of Monticello Wine Trail Festival, provide the opportunity to taste the region’s plethora of amazing wines in one location.
For history buffs, Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello estate, which is the only home in the U.S. to be designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is open for public tours. Meanwhile, Charlottesville’s pedestrianized Downtown Mall offers fine dining, boutique shopping, and the simple pleasure of people watching while enjoying a coffee at numerous outdoor cafes.
2. Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico
Mexico’s Valle de Guadalupe is closer to Los Angeles than Napa Valley and is located just 75 miles south of the U.S. border. For decades, the Valle has been overshadowed by America’s West Coast wine destinations, but Mexico’s premier wine region is now garnering international attention for the world-class bottles produced by its 100-plus wineries.
Instead of one or two signature varieties, producers such as Decantos, Monte Xanic, Vena Cava, and Lechuza Vineyard focus on a range of grapes suited to the warm climates of southern Europe. Think: Nebbiolo, Sangiovese, Tempranillo, Syrah, Vermentino, Viognier, and many more.
The high-quality winemaking is matched by farm-to-table dining and multi-course tasting menus, from acclaimed chefs such as Drew Deckman, Diego Hernandez, and Javier Plascencia. The latter helms Finca Altozano, which is arguably the region’s hottest restaurant.
While its proximity to San Diego makes driving an option, a number of the Valle’s resorts and wineries offer pickup services from San Diego International Airport. Without a doubt, it’s the most hassle-free method of arrival, and subsequent taxi travel around the region means all within your party can fully appreciate the broad selection of local wines.
1. Paso Robles, California
Paso Robles is located on California’s Central Coast, midway between San Francisco and Los Angeles. The charming city and its surrounding wine country might be familiar to Californian oenophiles, but the region still flies under the radar from a national and international perspective.
This is a shame; Paso is home to award-winning wineries set in a spectacular backdrop that rivals anywhere else in the state. The city’s historic downtown features a wide range of dining establishments that dedicate themselves to serving locally sourced, organic produce and meats. Accommodations range from boutique hotels to vineyard resorts, luxury villas, and national chains where you can spend those well-earned points.
But those who’ve become acquainted with the region know that Paso’s main draw is its very tangible sense of community. The members of the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance are connected not only by their regional marketing operation, but by deep-rooted friendships stretching back years and even decades.
The 40,000-acre AVA is home to more than 200 wineries, with stalwarts such as Tablas Creek Vineyard, Castoro Cellars, and Eberle Winery pioneering the production of more than 60 grape varieties. Some might argue such diversification and the lack of focus on a signature variety can hold a region back. To them, we counter: Variety is the spice of life.
Nowhere is Paso’s community spirit more evident than at Tin City, an industrial complex that sees wine producers, breweries, cider makers, and creameries work side by side to share their artisanal fare.
“This community of wildly independent artisans love what they do, and they are part of Tin City to pour that love into everything they make with the sole purpose of sharing it,” Tin City’s website states. “All you need to do is show up and enjoy it.”
