~ Warning! Minor Spoilers! Book Review: Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour by – Morgan Matson (2010) ~ REVIEW In 2019, I read “Since You’ve Been Gone,” written by Morgan Matson, and enjoyed it a lot. I rated it a 3.8/5. It’s been a while, but I thought it was time to read another Morgan Matson. I was impressed by “Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour,” which I read on Kindle. Amy is living alone in her California…

Book review: Amy & Roger's Epic Detour
Book review: Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour
Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour by Morgan Matson My rating: 4 of 5 stars I love road trips so this book certainly piqued my interest after reading Morgan Matson’s Since You’ve Been Gone. After reading two of her books, and now currently reading a third one – Second Chance Summer, I feel that Matson’s female leads sorta have a lot of similarities in that they’re the quiet, not necessarily introverted…

Review: Amy & Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson
Review: Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour by Morgan Matson
Aloha! Just so you know which way the land lies I shall state: I love Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour. (Is that enough of a review? No? Sighs. Fine). This book is gorgeous, and not just the cover which I do like! Yes it has romance, but that’s not all it’s about. One of them is in a tangled are-they-aren’t-they relationship(ish) and one of them is dealing with grief. The only reason they’re even on…

Goodreads Challenge – February!
February is now over and done with, which means it’s time to recap the books I read for last month’s Goodreads Genre Challenge! Each month I am challenging myself to read and explore a different genre, which was kicked off in January with historical fiction! For last month, February’s genre was the book aisle you never want to be caught in at Barnes and Noble, romance! My main goal for February…

Top Ten Tuesday: Pictures Worth Ten Thousand Words
Top Ten Tuesday: Pictures Worth Ten Thousand Words
Happy Tuesday!! This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is one that I don’t talk about often on this blog: pictures and visuals in books. Though I haven’t read very many graphic novels or comic books, I have come across some memorable illustrations and creative uses of images in many of the books I’ve read. Here are ten books whose illustrations, images, and design I’ve thoroughly enjoyed: What are…
