I feel like The Father and Hell both understand and experience love in all the worst ways.

The Father sought to create a life form that would follow and love him unconditionally. It wasn't enough that he had a great cosmic kingdom of angels who are unquestioningly loyal, no, he needed something that knew suffering and mortality and the threat of oblivion, and would still find love at the end; love for him above all else. But after numerous implied failures at that, in his desperation, he instead created the threat of eternal damnation to force them to love him in order avert that fate. Lucifer's words must have been like a splash of cold water, but by the time he realized sheer magnitude of suffering he had unintentionally set into motion, it was too late. He could not destroy Hell; he could not stop the cycle of violence.

That guilt drove him to seek a death that, from the looks of it, eluded him in spite of the hollowness consuming him. And now he is... somewhere, helpless to stop his experiments from consuming one another and themselves in a glorious show of blood and violence.

And then there's Hell itself, who seems to recognize love as an act of violence and cruelty. It is something that derives joy only from the suffering of other living creatures. God gave it so many toys to hurt and break and reform, and Mankind gave it new ones. Why would it understand love as anything but? It gave Minos a facsimile of the son he is most ashamed of, and delighted when he cast it, once more, into a labyrinth. Gabriel flattened all the souls within it's confines beneath his heel and gave those that did bend false hopes.

Now there's V1, tearing its way through the remaining layers and creating a spectacle of violence like nothing Hell has ever witnessed before. How could it not love them all for all the entertainment they've provided?

But deep within its recesses, hidden away from the eyes of Heaven, there was a Gutterman. A machine built for war, who eventually came to love that which it gave it life at the cost of their own. Enough to give the human welded within their coffin the mercy that both Heaven and Hell had denied them; enough to write a single love letter to them, even knowing that it would never be read by its intended recipient.

So, as things turn out, you /can/ teach a machine to love. And they will understand and experience it more sincerely than God or Hell ever could.

about 1081 and the difference of Law's and Kidd's outcomes, while I know some people are upset over Law getting a confirmed getaway vs not knowing Kidd/Killer's whereabouts, I think the main difference is who they just got their asses kicked by

Shanks and the giants don't have an obligation to, but they can easily drag them out of the water at least and dump them somewhere, or the crew can drag themselves out and limp away to lick their wounds and lay low for a bit while figuring out what to do because I do not believe that they're dead, there's still so much to be done with Kidd's group imo BUT VERSUS THAT

we have Law with Blackbeard, and if Law stayed defeated on that island with Blackbeard, he was for sure going to die, no matter what

Blackbeard wanted his fruit, whether to keep, sell, or to have Law use it for immortality, no matter the option, it would've killed Law, so Law had to go asap while still holding onto a defeated status (and being separated from the rest of his crew, but there's a high chance Blackbeard may take them as hostages or slaves back to his island, none of the others have a fruit power and should have a high chance at survival because like Kaido, Blackbeard currently wants slaves for work)

the world does not need another silly one shot from me about the Venom Symbiote's time in captivity with the Fantastic Four but if I'm going to fixate on one page in one comic by god I'm going to do something with that

I just think it would be sweet if in Reed Richards' desperate attempts to communicate with the Symbiote he tried to like, teach it Morse code, and he asks it, "do you have a name? is there something you were called, some designation you were given? something unique to you?"

And the symbiote taps back after a long moment the closest thing to a human translation of the only thing it can think might fit what Reed is referring to: "DEATH"

And Reed is all at once filled with a kind of overwhelming sadness, because what kind of life has this alien lived that it was called only "Death" by those it encountered? What kind of symbiosis had it experienced, if any at all?

But then he manages to collect himself, and he tells his guest that well, we'll just have to come up with a better designation than that, won't we? He probably tells it about how Sue, his own partner, is the one who gave him the name the world knows him by, "Mister Fantastic", and that he hopes the symbiote, too, can find a name it can be proud of.

Everyone needs a name, after all.

After randomly going through the Wikipedia page for Dream Quest, this paragraph in the Inspirations section stuck out to me for two reasons.

1. Damn, Wikipedia, chill. Yes, we know Randy’s kind of a wimp but that feels a little harsh.

okay i just want to share this lil fun fact about my step dad from when he was younger. While he was never a part of it himself in any capacity he apparently used to have buddies in the mob that he'd play cards with at a bar on a fairly regular basis.

and it was always such a funny thing for me to picture because my step was a very kind and friendly man who was an elder at his church (during the years i knew him. he claimed he used to be quite the mean bastard back when he drank back in his 20's/30's)

Random inspiration hit at 10am BUT

You know how in the 2015 show Piggy says she grew up on a farm, and there are further hints in the show that lean towards her possibly not having the greatest of upbringings amongst her dozens of younger siblings?

What if miss Poggy was one of Piggy’s younger siblings? Maybe her twin?? I think it’d make sense from a naming stand point cuz Deadly, in the 2015 show, “You are aware your name is Miss Piggy?” to Piggy, so Piggy being a twin and having her sister be called Poggy works!

It’d also be interesting to explore the idea of Piggy being the more meeker of the two, and how she eventually got stronger when she entered show bizz and left the family farm. Poggy being a lot more rougher then Piggy and pushing her around, on the verge of bullying, which leaves Piggy untrustworthy of her when they’re adults. (Poggy so strikes me as the type of sibling to do the “Why’re you hitting yourself? Why’re you hitting yourself?” to Piggy when they’re kids)
