The Wilbour Plaque (Amarna period, 1352-1336 BC) Brooklyn Museum
The plaque is named for Charles Edwin Wilbour, a 19th century Egyptologist who donated the plaque to the museum.
A masterpiece of “Amarna art” to the modern viewer but was little more than a reference piece in its day. It was most likely carved by a very skilled artist and hung from a cord (note the circular hole in the top) at a workshop to serve as a guide for other artisans working there. The scratches around the faces could have come from the artisans sharpening their tools before carving.
The piece portrays Nefertiti (right) and more than likely Akhenaten (left), her heretic husband who broke dramatically from long established artistic and religious convention. The elongated cranium, the heavy almond-shaped eyes, the full lips, and rounded chin were all very novel to the artistic representation of Akhenaten (p.k.a Amunhotep IV). Akhenaten is one of the most well known Pharaohs in modern times. His other worldly appearance and his worship of the sun certainly make him an interesting case study. Nefertiti is probably most known for her bust, a true masterpiece of sculpture.
Akhenaten is one of my favorite pharaohs. I think he has certainly earned the title of “the world’s first individual”. While I love the devotion to tradition so typical of Egyptian art and religion, its exhilarating to see such a deliberate and stylized break from that tradition. Akhenaten I also enjoy seeing Nefertiti in contexts other than her iconic bust.

Festival season is in full swing and here Amunhotep IV is shown here celebrating one of the oldest festivals in ancient Egypt. The cloak he is wearing is traditional for the pharaohs “sed” festival. “Sed” is similar to a jubilee; it celebrates the pharaoh’s long reign and renews his right to rule. The lines surrounding the king, here, are rays from the sun-disk, one of the deities who granted Amunhotep IV his kingship. Some kings, including Amunhotep IV and his father Amunhotep III, took the festival so seriously they built entire new cities to celebrate.

Quote
The means of transmission, however, are numerous and not always clear. Commerce, diplomacy, and exile led individuals to travel or live abroad. "Send this boy to Yamhad or to Qatna, as you see fit," ordered Hammurabi, according to a letter from Mari; and the Egyptian Sinuhe was living quite comfortably as a local dignitary among the Asians before the pharaoh recalled him...Sometimes, however, even Gods paid diplomatic visits, as did Shaushka "of Ninevah, Mistress of All Land," who visited Amunhotep IV after 1350 BCE. Foreign wives were another matter. Dynastic marriages were common among the elite of the ancient Near East, as not only the Amarna Letters demonstrate. "The Lord was angry with Solomon" because he not only married many foreign wives (bad in itself) but because he followed their Gods- "Ashtoreth [Astarte] the Goddess of the Sidonians,...Milcom the loathsome God of the Ammonites,...Chemosh the loathsome God of Moab"- and even built shrines for Them (I Kings 11.5-9). Much later, the empress Julia Domna still favored her local Syrian Gods while in Rome. There is no way of telling how transitory an influence the Gods and cults had that these wives brought with them; the Syrian Gods, however, backed by an immigrant community, did last some time. Conquerors brought Gods with them, as did merchant communities and colonists. In the 2nd century CE, someone in Lydian Sardis renewed a sacred law written under the occupation of Artaxerxes II that regulated a Persian cult. The Thracian Goddess Bendis, the Egyptian Isis, and the Sidonian Astarte arrived in Athens with the community of foreign traders that established itself in Piraeus.

America is the True Old World – Paperback
Hello, my name is Amunhotep Chavis El-Bey, and I am proud to introduce to you my new book entitled, “America is the True Old World,” but first let me tell you more about myself. I am a honorary 33 degree mason, Metaphysician, Historian, Philosopher, Paralegal, Researcher, Poet, Published Author, Crown Knight of Kush, and Ghostwriter. I am 40 years old and loving life in beautiful South Florida. I spend most of my time with my family and friends, so I do consider myself to be a family man and a team player. Now, let’s discuss my new book.
The book, “America is the True Old World” (Vol., I), is destined to rewrite the history books, due to the topic of the book, if proven correct, because the old world is suppose to be the East and not the West. This book reveals the discovery of the Lost Continent of Mu, the discovery of Atlantis, the discovery of the Garden of Eden, and so much more. This book has 40 color illustrations to highlight the Beauty of Old World America.  This book is volume I of a IV volume eBook series that covers 12 chapters, so there is more to come. Volume I, eBook Chapters include: Chapter 1: America is the True Old World (Vol., I); Chapter 2: India Superior was in North America (Vol., I); and Chapter 3: Ancient Sumer was in the Americas (Vol., I).
This book is actually an open challenge to any and all scholars, whether they be professional or amateur scholars. I don’t rely on any degrees from western Colleges to qualify me to write this eBook, because I will let the evidence that I present qualify this book as factual. I am of the firm belief that it is the current established western academia model of history, which is the Out of Africa Theory, is the main reason why none of the discoveries listed in this books are not known and are not talked about if known, because no one wants to go against established western academia. To go against Western Academia is to be label a fraud and an incompetent person, so I understand why the information in this book is not known or either not talked about. We are in the age of Aquarius, which is the Information Age/the Age of Knowing, so everything that was hidden will come to light.

Over the last hundreds of years, people have infatuated with ancient civilizations like Sumer, Egypt, and India. However, those civilizations could never be in the NEW World (the Americas), because this landmass was first discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1492, which is what they teach us in school. As a result of most people believing that the Americas is the New World, most people are completely wrong about how old the Americas are and that the said ancient civilizations were also in the Americas too. This book is designed to set the record straight.
In this post is an image of  a Olmec head. The Olmec’s (old Mexicans) were your first Americas and, probably, your first humans too. The Olmecs were some of the survivors of the Atlantis disaster. I say this because no Olmec head has been found in Africa, so therefore the Olmec’s did not come from Africa, which is contrary to what western academia believes. The Olmec head image in this post is undoubtedly that of a Mu’ur/ Moor (Negro) from Mu. Mu means Mother, according to James Churchward in his the Lost continent of Mu, book. The Olmecs were Mu’urs, because they come from MU/Meru/Meri/Mary. MU is code for Mu’urs. The headdress of the Olmec resembles a Fez. You can even see the tassel on the front of the fez and you can see tassels on the back of the Fez too with the other Olmec image I have shared in this post of the back view of the Olmec head.
Please, support me and the research that I have done to write this truly revolutionary History book by purchasing it for $16.50 on Amazon at: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1513658204?ref_=pe_3052080_397514860, or you can get it by clicking on the Purchase Tab above. It’s a bit difficult to say what was in the tomb of Akhenaten because we don’t know 100% for sure that we’ve found it.
It’s possible that the male mummy found in KV55 is Akhenaten, but not certain. The genetic study done in 2010 was very... liberal in interpreting their findings. All that really could be said for sure is that the male mummy in KV55 has genetic markers consistent with being related to both Amunhotep III and Tutankhamun, and is likely one generation removed from each. It could be Tutaknhamun’s father, but it could also be his uncle just as well.
(And yes, we don’t really have any record of any other sons of Amunhotep III--aside from Thutmose, who died young--but that was pretty common. Royal sons weren’t really noted unless they were the heir. Amunhotep III’s Thutmose is known because he was the heir apparent until he suddenly died and opened the way to the throne for Amunhotep IV/Akhenaten.)
The trouble with the Amarna period is that Egyptologists actually don’t have nearly as much concrete information on it as we, the public, think they do. A lot of dates within the period are highly speculative. We have no idea who Smenkhkare and Nefernerferuaten were (Akhenaten’s brothers? friends? cousins?? one of them might have even been Nefertiti???--and speaking of her, where did she even come from?). We don’t even have a date or explanation for why Akhenaton did his famous “heresy”, where he had the name and image of Amun chiseled away; we just know that it happened at some point, probably in the later part of his reign.
All of this is to say that you can try looking at what was found in KV55, but just understand that it might... not be the tomb of Akhenaten.
Question for my fellow Kemetics:
A friend just had some kinda strange upg, and I'm looking for ideas and resources to help make sense of it.
In the vision, they had to go to both Akhenaten's tomb, and also a temple of Nebthet (Nephthys), to retrieve two objects in a matched set.
Are there good and easily available sources on what was actually found in Akhenaten's tomb?
Was there a temple to Nephthys in Amarna?
Thanks for any/all help! Even just reblogging helps!
