In a world of ableism, Lego Friends is showing their pride by creating disabled characters. Luna is a girl in a wheelchair who absolutely shreds it at the skate park. They also have an amputee who rides horses and a gardener with vitiligo.

I saw a girl who looked like me in a wheelchair and had to get her. I plan to customize her to look like me.

One of my all time favourites. She seems so accepting of herself as a woman with no legs. I just wish she would show her bare stumps whilst in her wheelchair and not use liners. Babe, you’re a double above knee amputee, there’s no hiding it ! Show your lovely legless self off to the world x

Hi ray this is probably a "You should talk about this in therapy babe" kinda ask but it's fandom related I'm sending it anyway. Because of an ancient 6 years ago I'm a leg amputee and my spine is fucked in a way that causes chronic pain.

Anyway probably because of this I love fics where characters become disabled and suffer the consequences of it. I love seeing characters adapt to a body that no longer serves them like it used to and living their lives despite this. A disability that forces them to rely on others in ways that are uncomfortable creating stronger bonds.

I'm usually a Bakugo hater but my favourite fic (that I lost) is one where he looses his hearing and arm and is forced to rely on Izuku.

Honestly? In my opinion that's perfectly understandable. You went through something massively life-changing and it's understandable that you would seek out entertainment that echoes your circumstances in some way.

It can be cathartic to see others, even fictional others, go through similar situations we've been through.

Or to see it go better or worse for them.

It's all understandable and as long as those kinds of fics aren't having a negative impact on your mental health then I say indulge.
