This doesn't effect the hermitphibia au at all, if anything it's a quirk of either Actualization or Deification and it's effects on a deity's Player incarnation (Player Avatars? Pearl introducing herself as that might actually make Mr. Boonchuy go catatonic,) but I've been watching through alot of Empires lately and, while The mother of Sunflowers is the goddess of a number of things (sunflowers, agriculture, war, a psychopomp, fate, reincarnation, burials, and basically the entire afterlife,) she seen isn't a Goddess of the moon until Gem established the sun religion and outlawed her worship, siting 'Moon' in Pearl's name as evidence that the goddess Sausage said she resembled was actually a demonic figure, and Sanctuary adopted the moon imagery when they imported sun worship but without the demonic aspects. I haven't gotten to Gem's perspective on it yet, but my understanding of the sun religion is that it focusses on a battle between light and darkness with 'darkness' being monsters, particularly phantoms, and skulk, and Pearl being a goddess of the moon in their cosmology makes her goddess of those as well. I don't Gem intended it, or realized there was any actual connection to a random world's ancient goddess and her friend when she did it, but it appears I undersold Pearl in my werewolf ask, and she's far more dangerous feral then we gave her credit for.

Well, the universe/multiverse sees itself as the "short/long dream of the game/life", so perhaps Papa Boonchuy can be calmed by that being the "main reason" Players are called Players.

As for Pearl's feralness... The Moon satanic aspect Gem unwittingly inferred exists may not impact too much on Hermitphibia, but it sure as hell colours how quickly she goes off the rails, both in the Life Series & here in Amphibia. :(

I was revising my lore for my AU Amphibia fic and realized of all the three girls, my Boi Sasha was just having a bad year, like just not having a girl time.

She imprisoned for a month without good hygiene, became a child soldier, an outlaw and forced to live the forest for months, a fail rebellion, and realized she unintentionally helped Andrais to invade and genocidize Earth, forced to live underground and become a resistance leader for months with again, lack of good hygiene (she's thirteen and living with Amphibians that have a different reproduction system means having her period suck), and bluntly forced to say goodbye to her father figure right after seeing her crush friend died.

Anne and Marcy were lucky since they actually had a positive experience, however bad it was initially or near the end, meanwhile Sasha throughout the series is like:

That's part of the reason I pushed Anne out of that particular path in my swap AU. Sasha is the only one of the trio that manages to thrive instead of break under those circumstances.

High Seas Highjinks AU

Hoist that Jolly Roger and indulge this ole scallywag in listenin’ to this tall tale o‘mine, ye lily-livered, grog-shy, sorry band of mongrels! Yarr!

I made a (mostly historically accurate) Amphibia Pirate AU! I'm going to write a long oneshot for it and maybe a few short stories, depends on how much free time I have after tomorrow (see pinned post).

Below the cut are some worldbuilding details as well as the events preceding this upcoming fic!

This AU takes place during the early eighteenth century. Most of the events happen either on the Caribbean seas or on the Croaking Isle, an imaginary location in the Bahamas inspired by Nassau. It got its name from the rare frogs that live on this island.

Previously under British rule, the Croaking Isle has become a haven for brigands, rogues, scoundrels, outlaws and pirates

It’s a loose confederacy governed by the pirate code, meaning it’s sort of a democracy

They disrupt trade and shipping in the West Indies

Most of the non-criminal inhabitants of the Croaking Isle are merchants and fishers

Anne, Marcy and Sasha are all ±16 years old. They’re much like their canon counterparts, only they’re 18th century peasant girls. They all live in Port Newton (based on Charles Town), a British settlement in the Province of Carolina. This is also the home of Vice-Admiral Andrias Lewis, nicknamed “the Leviathan”; the Royal Governor of the Bahama Islands.

The three girls were ignoring their chores and exploring the beach when they spotted a mysterious figure burying a large thing

Sasha dared Anne to dig it up at midnight

It turned out to be a treasure chest containing three precious gems; a ruby, a sapphire and an emerald

Sasha was ecstatic and convinced her friends to sell the gems so they’d be set for life

The merchant they showed the gems recognized them: they once belonged to a Portuguese shipment that was stolen by pirates

The gems have names! The emerald is the Soul of the Wild, the ruby is the Fire Bead, and the sapphire is the Cerulean Heart.

The merchant doesn’t trust the trio and tells them to wait. Suspecting them to have something to do with the buccaneers who stole the shipment, he calls the authorities

Anne manages to snatch the chest back and they run

They flee and eventually find an old creaky fisherman’s boat at the end of the harbor to hide out in

Exhausted, they all fall asleep in the hold. When they wake up, they notice that the ship has set sail, pretty far away from Port Newton

The ship is called the Plantar’s Pride. The fisherman and his two grandkids are shocked when they find the girls. He’s an American settler by the name of Hopadiah Plantar. Guess who his kids are.

The fisher is nervous and intends to bring them back to the authorities, but is caught off guard by a sudden, unexpected storm

They are thrown off course, blown dangerously south, into pirate territory

And of course, pirates find them. Captain Timothy Grime, terror of the seven seas, is a little surprised to find a small sloop this far out on the waters. He sends some of his crew to inspect the Pride for valuables but intends to leave them alone

But then they find the treasure chest

The girls fight valiantly, as well as the fishers, who think they’re about to die

Grime is impressed, especially with Sasha. He agrees to let them live – if they sign the pirate articles and become part of his crew for a short period of time. He needs all the help he can get for a big job in the future

After that they’re free to go

Hop Pop is a cook, Sprig a deckhand, Polly a powder monkey. Marcy becomes a navigator while Anne does the rigging. Sasha quickly works her way up to First Mate

Anne and Marcy are a little concerned about how chummy Sasha is with this feared pirate captain

That’s what I got so far! I’m not sure if a mutiny is going to occur or if the growing tension between Sasha and her friends is going to get resolved another way, but I’ll think of something. I also have some plans for Anne and Marcy to shine more, but I gotta work that out a bit more first.

Andrias is kinda a distant, looming figure whose name gets dropped a lot. He wants to end piracy in the Bahamas and will do anything in his power to do so. He also has taken a very special interest in those three gems.

Other characters are Zari Yunan, an “undercover” privateer commodore who hunts pirates. She’s not doing a very good job at it. Her “paramour” (as Yunan calls her) is Lady Olivia Parks, a British noblewoman and secretary to the Vice-Admiral.

Amphibia Outlaw AU

Chapter 1: dead frog's land

It was late in the day in the outskirts of newtopia, Anne and Marcy were sitting down at a table in an apartment that anne had rented. The Plantars had stayed in wartwood where it was safe, and where they weren't being chased by guards every two seconds. Anne and Marcy had been sitting there planning for a good thirdy minutes before Anne spoke up. "Alright Marcy thats the whole plan right? No other crucial details left out, and no risky flaws?" she asked nervously putting her index finger on the paper that had the plan written in ink. Marcy quickly bolted out of her seat and to a coat rack standing by their front door. "Don't worry Anna-Banana! I've got everything under control!" she reassured Anne waving her hand up and down as she sloppily through on her cloak. Anne shrugged and put on her chest plate as they both walked out the door and into a dark alleyway next to their apartment. Marcy quickly called Joe Sparrow to pick them up, Joe Sparrow arrived faster than they had thought. Marcy hopped on in a hurry as she pulled Anne up using her right arm and holding Joe Sparrow with the other. "Come on Anne, we gotta hurry before it gets dark!" she whisper shouted "Right, sorry Marce-" Anne wasn't quite used to riding on Joe Sparrow so she was kinda startled by how fast they took off, they were headed to a place called "Dead Frog's Land" to find a mysterious treasure buried there, it was said to have dangerous monsters lurking there supposedly "protecting" the treasure. It wasn't too far so they got there pretty fast, Joe Sparrow landed smoothly on the ground as Anne fell off of him. "Anne are you okay?" Marcy looked over at her with a concerned expression as she leaped off Joe Sparrow, "Yep I'm just fine!" she said quickly bouncing up off the ground brushing off the dirt. They had suddenly arrived at a strange island surrounded by water and engulfed in trees and vines, there was sand covering the outskirts of the forestry in the middle. "Are you sure this treasure is worth it? I mean it looks pretty risky.." she slightly whispered to Marcy who had her head deep in her notebook as she was recording her surroundings, as she continued to walk into the dark forest area that had bones scattered everywhere. Anne made a scared yet intrigued face as she stood there watching, she then got worried after she realized how oblivious Marcy was when she was this caught up in research. "MARCY WAIT!" she yelled running up behind Marcy. Anne screaming her name quickly caught her attention "What's up Anne?" she responded confused but interested. Anne put her hands on her knees to catch her breath "Be careful, we don't know what could be out here waiting to kill us. Or worse." she breathed before standing up straight and nervously searching the area for monsters or anything dangerous. They walked deeper into the forest when the silence was briefly interrupted by a load roar, Marcy glanced up at the sky after hearing it and started writing in her notebook as she changed her direction towards the loud roar. "Anne that's a roar I've never heard before! That could be a new species here in Amphibia!!" she squeaked with excitement as she walked closer to where the noise came from "No no nope. You are not putting us both in danger just because it could be a new species!" she scolded grabing the back of her cloak to put her walking to an end. "Aw come on Anne, we'll be in and out! Can we please go?" she pleaded as her eyes sparkled a hazel colour. "Fine. Only one sketch, but one sign we're in danger and we're out!" she plainly sighed at her and crossed her arms and began walking beside her "yay!!" Marcy clapped her hands in joy as she walked next to Anne.

ANNOUNCEMENT!!

Hello everyone, I am here to tell you there's a new amphibia outlaw au fic coming out on July 29! This fic will be a continuation of chapter 1; "Dead Frog's Land" chapter 2 "Mysterious Mythics" will probably be published around 1AM - 3AM (CT) Central Standard time, depending on how long it takes and when i decide to begin writing it. Along with Chapter 3 (July 31) will come around the same time 1AM -3AM (CT) Central time, most likely the other chapters as well. The Outlaw AU takes place around season 2 before true colours, although the last chapter may include spoilers for true colours. If you have not seen true colours or amphibia i highly recommend both! Reading my fics really makes me happy and id love for you to read any fics i put out, and i do not own any of the characters like; Anne Boonchuy, Marcy Wu, Sasha Waybright, and ect. They all belong to the original creator Matt Braly! amphibia outlaw au

I decided i have nothing better to do than make another au, about anne and the plantars as outlaws and anne makes marcy an outlaw. this is gonna be fuunnn... :] so when anne first arrived in amphibia she met sprig running from cops with bags of stolen goods, he drags her up with his tongue and puts her in a tree where they both hide for the moment. while the police got distracted by hop pop and polly, sprig and anne are escaping and going for their "fwagon" in a deeper part in the woods. they all meet up and one thing leads to another, and the story is pretty much the same except marcy doesn't work for andreas, and is now an outlaw alongside anne and the plantars. this is definitely why true colours happened. yes, definitely. anne got her arm cut off in the battle with sasha and now yes you guessed it sasha and grime are also outlaws.
