So… I personally LOVED the Cosmo Seiusa but only because I’ve always shipped them and I was exposed to sailor moon ss where the REAL seiusa takes place.

Cosmo took that whole series and basically just rushed it into a two hour special… the seiusa dynamic and their bond for one another is not fleshed out at all and it’s like… they met OH AND NOW SHE KISSES HER!

We never get to see their development from bickering idiots to friends who protect and deeply care and love one another. In sailor stars they grow close but throughout the entirety of cosmos they felt like complete strangers with all of a sudden one sided feelings. It’s COMPLETELY different.

In the original series they fight along side eachother and Usagi see’s Seiya off when she leaves then develops depression cause she’ll never see her again. In cosmos… The Sailor fighters DIE then like… Never get mentioned again then even when everyone’s brought back they’re just never shown or mentioned again. Just imagining the differences just feels so off

HELL WE DIDNT EVEN GET AMI X TAIKI THEY DIDNT EVEN INTERACT REALLY, same with Yaten x Minako,,, atleast we got that Manga Reinako scene adapted tho.

Oooh, that makes my Ami x Taiki shipping heart sad that this wasn’t included.

Sailor Stars episode 200 was written with a different ending. Part 1

I was surprised when I started reading the script how parts of the ending was changed. Let me know your thoughts on what version you like better!

Side note. I am paraphrasing.

Page 4. On this page, Chibi Chibi is referred to as Cosmos in parentheses. Makes me wonder if they tried to plan a little more than just the silhouette.

Page 17. This is where Sailor Moon defeats Galaxia. It mentions how the starseeds are returned and they shoot off of into the night. The entire scene of Galaxia and Sailor Moon speaking while they are both naked wondering what what happened to Chaos did not exist.

One of the starseeds materializes into Endymion. He calls her name and she calls him Mamo-chan. In the original script, he was the first appear. Not the Sailor Senshi. The anime reversed it.

Page 18. Usagi still rushes into Mamoru's arms and they hug. He wraps his cape around Usagi. While that is happening the other senshi are returning in this order: Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and Saturn.

Mars: Usagi!

Mercury: Usagi-chan!

Usagi: Everyone!

Mars rushes forward to hug Usagi and Endymion and the other Inners are right behind her. It is not completely clear, but I believe the Outers hug them as well.

Scene shifts to Princess Kakyuu appearing in front the Starlights.

Page 19. Scene with Kakyuu and Starlights is pretty much the same until the end. Fighter looks up at Usagi and Usagi looks back at Fighter. They smile at each other.

Usagi says, "Thank you Chibi Chibi." This is the first time Chibi Chibi is mentioned in these past few pages. I would assume Chibi Chibi is not present for any of this.

Scene at the end shifts to all the starseeds returning throughout the universe to where they belong. This reads like an amazing scene to have countless shooting stars leaving the Earth to go home.

Page 20. Continuation of starseed scene. We found Chibi Chibi!

This is rather vague. Chibi Chibi is talking to someone listed as "girl." Going back to the cast page in a previous post, "girl" has "Past Galaxia" listed and no cast name. Is this the freed Galaxia?

Girl/Galaxia is taking to Chibi Chibi about going back home. They discuss how light revived the galaxy but Chaos may come back.

Chibi Chibi talks. She says, it's okay because of Sailor Moon's warm light.

Girl/Galaxia agrees.

The Moon is rising and Chibi Chibi says they should go home.

Girl/Galaxia agrees and thanks Sailor Moon.

They hold hands and go home.

Scene shifts to plane lights in the sky twinkling like stars.

Page 21. Saying goodbye to the Starlights. WOW. This is very different.

Ami asks Taiki if they are leaving.

Taiki says they are and his friends are waiting for him. They are going to make a new planet.

Ami says "Taiki-san......" (there are a lot of dots)

Taiki said thank you it was really nice to meet her and they shake hands.

Rei and the girls are surprised to see them shaking hands. Rei comments they're holding hands.

Minako says somehow.

Makoto says Ami-chan is doing well.

Ami is embarrassed by this that she is holding his hand and she is still shy she is trying to say something but her voice trails off.

Rei and the group ask, what about us?

Enter Yaten who states he is also really glad to have met everyone.

Rei, Makoto, and Minako... (I think) make googy eyes at Yaten and call him Yaten-kun.

Yaten then thanks Luna and shakes his hand with the cat. (I'm dying over here). I am also assuming he shakes the cat's paw?

Page 22. Luna's response and Artemis are pretty much the same here.

Makoto says, wait a minute.

Rei comments, passing on all these cute girls/maidens.

Minako: Say hello to the cat?

Yaten and Luna laugh.

Seiya and Princess Kakyuu are looking up at the sky.

Seiya comments it feels like a long time since they chased Princess Kakyuu to this planet.

Princess Kakyuu speaks out loud wondering what happened to the Light Hope they were searching for.

Seiya says hope is within everyone. He will continue to guide everyone as a shining star and it was something he forgot along the way.

Princess Kakyuu smiles. She never gave up on that Light of Hope until the very end. (She is not clear. Maybe Sailor Moon? Chibi Chibi?)

Page 23. Usagi calls out to Seiya. Scene is very similar to the anime.

Seiya turns around to see Usagi standing there with Mamoru. He tells her, he is glad she has her boyfriend back.

Usagi says it is thanks to him being here and she working hard.

Seiya says Odango. The two stare at each other.

Seiya says he will never forget her.

Usagi still says they're be friends forever. (poor Seiya)

Minako and Makoto laugh. Ami and Princess Kakyuu turn red. Rei and Mamoru look baffled.

Girls make fun of Usagi for not understanding.

Page 24. Rei makes fun of Usagi for not understanding what Seiya means.

Princess Kakyuu says its time to return to their planet.

Seiya whispers in Mamoru's ear as he passes by, he has to protect her from now on.

Mamoru says he will and will make Seiya happy.

Seiya laughs and comments you say that. He turns around and says goodbye Odango.

They turn into the Starlights and say goodbye, same as the anime.

The Zest of Love:

According to Usagi, love had a taste. 

It was a very special taste - at least, that’s what Usagi said. She said it was one of the most wonderful tastes in the world, even more tasty than cakes and cookies. When Ami asked her for more details on what loved ‘tasted like’, Usagi was - predictably - unable to give a straight answer. She hemmed and hawed, stuttering over her words, until she gave up trying to explain and just yelled out a very definitive “It just tastes good, okay?!”

A few days later, though, Usagi was able to give Ami something close to a concrete example. Love within itself didn’t have a particular taste - Usagi claimed - but it made other flavors better. It made mundane things taste like the most delicious sweet in the world. Usagi was then quick to give an example. Back when she dated Mamoru, his kisses didn’t have the “taste of love”. Whenever she kissed him, his lips would feel gross and disgusting. His kisses were full of the dull flavor of his chapstick. Usagi claimed she would then be forced to eat a few dozen sweets in order to get the horrid taste out of her mouth. But with Seiya, it was different. Even when Seiya’s lips were coated in the gross-smelling, cheap beer that she loved - Usagi still couldn’t resist kissing her. The bitter tang of the beer turned into an undeniable, sweet nectar that Usagi couldn’t pull away from. That, Usagi said, was the taste of love. 

Ami had her doubts about this “taste of love”, she knew how Usagi was, afterall. As much as she loved Usagi - and she truly, truly, loved Usagi - she knew how much Usagi liked to romanticize things. She knew how nonsensical Usagi could be.

It wasn’t until Ami first kissed Taiki that she realized: Usagi was right. 

Looking back on that first kiss now, Ami couldn’t help but feel embarrassed. She and Taiki had been so skittish around each other. Every interaction between them had been played like a chess game, with both of them too cowardly to say what was truly on their mind. Their first kiss was full of that nervous, jittery energy. It had happened on the night of their first date. Taiki, ever the gentleman, was walking Ami to her door after a long day of fun. They had visited a new museum together, ate at an expensive restaurant in Juuban’s city square, and then had gone to get some coffee at Crown. It was a nice date. A date that made Ami so feel so loved, and so happy. Oh so happy. 

When they reached her door, though, she remembered that her happiness dissipated for a second. She paused, turning back to look at Taiki, who gave Ami the most charming smile she could muster. The edges of her teeth peeked out from her grin, her cheeks turning a gentle shade of rosy pink. Ami vividly remembers how handsome Taiki looked that night. Her hair had been expertly slicked back and her suit was striking and breathtaking. But somehow, her cheeky little grin had made her even more handsome than before. 

And Ami couldn’t take it anymore. 

Ami wasn’t a creature of impulse. Acting without thinking was a foreign concept to her. She was always careful to plan out each step of an action, weighing its pros and it's cons before coming to a definite decision. But that night, in that moment, Ami moved without thinking. 

Ami barely had time to get a good look at Taiki’s surprised face before her lips firmly pressed themselves on Taiki. She could feel Taiki tense for a moment before reaching out, gently grabbing Ami by the upper arms and tugging her closer. Then Taiki started to kiss back - and that’s when Ami first felt the zest of love. Taiki’s wind-chilled, chapped lips tasted godly to Ami. The leftover, bitter taste of Taiki’s black coffee somehow became sweet and light. Things that usually tasted vile to Ami had become a delectable, addicting chocolate. At that moment, Ami had understood what Usagi meant. 

They stood there on Ami’s porch for what felt like hours. Silently kissing, holding each other tight. Ami had been fervent, so desperate to lap out every ounce of sweetness Taiki’s lips could give her. Eventually,the cold finally became too much and Taiki pulled away. Her cheeks were a bright red as she adjusted her suit jacket, all while giving Ami a shy sort of smile.

“I’ll see you tomorrow, okay?”

And while Ami wanted to ask her to stay, she simply nodded. “Okay.”

Looking back on that night from where she was now, Ami couldn’t help but smile at how she had acted. At how long it had taken her to finally face her fears and kiss Taiki. It had all worked out in the end, of course. But that didn’t excuse the years of hopeless pining from afar. God, she had been so stupid when it came to love, hadn’t she? Now she knew better though. At least, she thought she did.

A soft groan came out from besides her. Ami barely had time to roll over before an arm had found its way around her. Her wife was awake, it seemed. Taiki was always so grabby in the morning. Ami scooted closer to Taiki, gently stroking the hair that had fallen into Taiki’s face while she slept. One of her wife’s eye peaked open, still full of grogginess. 

“Mornin’.” Taiki muttered, voice low and deep from sleep.

Leaning in, Ami pressed a soft kiss against Taiki’s temple. “Good morning.” Then, she angled her mouth a bit lower, leaning into kiss Taiki’s lips. Taiki was more than happy to oblige, kissing back as she pulled Ami even closer. Ami relished every second of it, somehow still being amazed at the savory taste of Taiki’s love even years into their marriage.
