American Song Contest Producer Christer Björkman has confirmed that the contest will not be held in 2023.

Speaking during his attendance at Benidorm Fest, the Spanish selection for Eurovision 2023, Christer Björkman has confirmed that the American Song Contest will not be held in 2023. Speaking to Euromovidas, Mr. Björkman said that the American Song Contest will not be held in 2023 but hopes that it can return in 2024.

eurovision 2024 thoughts

i just listened to all 37 entries and

the azerbaijan entry "Özünlə Apar" was my favorite, followed by the austria one "We Wanna Rave"

i don't think the actual winner "The Code" was even close to my top 12

i probably can't say which song i thought was the worst without getting a lot of angry notes on this post and extending my block list

why doesn't America do this? what, we can't do AmeriVision, have one contestant from each state + DC & Puerto Rico? i think that would be a good time personally. eurovision is such a huge deal, it could easily be that in the USA.

They should have a Eurovision for the US... and while we're at it one for the Americas in general. Although a lot of the countries are very large so I think the US and Brazil and other big countries would have multiple teams based off of regions. For example there would tbe the coastal Brazilian team and the Brazilian interior team and maybe a US team for the East and the West and the South. I don't know much about the cultural regions of Brazil but for a country that large there's gotta be multiple. I think it would be really fun to learn about stuff like that. I would love to see what people in Alaska and the Yukon and Nunavut make in terms of pop music :] imagine!!! I've actually never heard a song sung in any Yupik (south half of Alaska) languages or Inuit (north half of Alaska and Canada) languages.

it could be called Amerivision maybe!! Which translates so smoothly to Amerivición. I think it would be a great opportunity for Usamericans to learn about the nuances between Latin American countries and Carribean countries too. I wonder if Cuba would participate. I think the biggest competitors would be the USamerican teams and the Brazilian teams and Jamaica too since music is such a large part of their culture (and has influenced music all over the world) to my knowledge. SO YEAH amerivición WHEN

They should make an Amerivision, like Eurovision but for the US states. Each state sends a group to do a cool performance and whoever’s the best wins that year. I think that’d be fun.

amerivision was won by a kpop artist, theres no reason why eurovision shouldn't be. australia should take advantage of the one million kpop idols they got going on

rose from blackpink is australian which means kpop basically qualifies for eurovision
