Enhancing Workplace Safety with Hose Restraints: A Crucial Component in Industrial Operations
Hose restraints play a pivotal role in ensuring workplace safety, particularly in industries where the use of hoses is prevalent. These safety devices are designed to secure hoses and prevent them from whipping or flailing in the event of a sudden pressure release or failure. Let's delve into the significance of hose restraints in industrial settings and explore key measures to enhance hose restraints safety.
Understanding Hose Restraints Safety
Hose restraints, also known as hose safety cables or whip checks, are devices used to secure hoses and prevent them from whipping or flailing when subjected to high pressure or sudden release of energy. These devices typically consist of steel cables or straps that are attached to the hose assembly and anchored to a fixed point, such as a wall, floor, or nearby structure. By restraining the movement of hoses, these devices help minimize the risk of injuries, equipment damage, and environmental hazards in the workplace.
Importance of Hose Restraints Safety
Worker Protection: Hose-related incidents, such as hose whip or rupture, can pose serious risks to personnel working in the vicinity. Hose restraints provide an additional layer of protection by preventing hoses from whipping or flailing uncontrollably, reducing the risk of impact injuries or entanglement for workers.
Equipment Protection: Unrestrained hoses can cause damage to equipment, machinery, and surrounding infrastructure in the event of a hose failure or sudden pressure release. Hose restraints help mitigate these risks by securing hoses in place and preventing them from causing damage to valuable assets or disrupting operations.
Environmental Safety: Leaks, spills, or releases from hoses can result in environmental contamination, pollution, and regulatory violations. By preventing hose-related incidents, hose restraints help minimize the risk of environmental hazards and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
Operational Continuity: Unplanned downtime resulting from hose-related incidents can disrupt operations, delay production, and incur significant costs for businesses. Hose restraints help maintain operational continuity by reducing the likelihood of hose failures and minimizing the risk of unplanned shutdowns or disruptions.
Key Measures for Hose Restraints Safety
Proper Installation: Hose restraints should be installed correctly and securely according to manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices. This includes ensuring proper sizing, attachment, and anchoring of hose restraints to prevent slippage or detachment during operation.
Regular Inspection and Maintenance: Scheduled inspection and maintenance of hose restraints are essential to identify potential issues, such as wear, corrosion, or damage, before they escalate into serious problems. Routine maintenance activities, such as tightening, lubrication, or replacement of worn components, help ensure the effectiveness and reliability of hose restraints.
Training and Education: Proper training and education of personnel involved in hose operation and maintenance are crucial for ensuring safe practices and procedures. Workers should be trained on the importance of hose restraints safety, proper installation techniques, inspection protocols, and emergency response procedures to minimize risks and promote a safety culture in the workplace.
Compliance with Standards and Regulations: Adhering to relevant industry standards, regulations, and guidelines is essential for ensuring hose restraints safety and regulatory compliance. Companies should stay updated on applicable standards, such as those set by organizations like the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) or the American Petroleum Institute (API), and implement measures to meet or exceed these requirements.
Conclusion
Hose restraints safety is critical for protecting workers, equipment, and the environment from the risks associated with hose-related incidents. By implementing proper safety measures, such as proper installation, regular inspection and maintenance, comprehensive training programs, and compliance with standards and regulations, companies can mitigate risks, enhance operational safety, and promote a culture of safety in the workplace. Investing in hose restraints safety is not only a legal and ethical obligation but also a sound business practice that contributes to the overall success and sustainability of industrial operations.

There is an old adage in business; talent goes where the money is.
There will shortly be a new adage; talent avoids where the Woke is.
Google and Amazon became the powerhouses they are today because a generation ago (ouch) they were willing to spend big to get talent. And they got it. It says something about the level of people they were getting that one of the questions on Google’s employment application was, how many books have you written? This was before internet publishing was a thing.
Unlike the Dickensian workhouse conditions for the Microserfs up north at Redmond, the googlers were treated like princes. One of the big winners when the company finally went public was the company chef, not food service’s director you understand, but chef as in actual chef.
…
The Woke will always find a reason to hire other Wokelings. Diversity is usually a good excuse but there is always a way to justify hiring someone who is utterly unqualified for her job. And those that are actually good at their jobs have to take up the slack for the useless dead weight. It used to be a “blonde with a great rack.” Now it’s a “three-hundred-pound, hippo with a purple mental-illness haircut.”
The thing is the blonde was always cheerful, nice to everyone, and pleasant to look at. She at least made the work environment more enjoyable. On the other hand, the whale with the purple hair is constantly shrieking and demanding submission to the SJW narrative from everyone that she comes in contact with. During working hours instead of doing her job, she is organizing witch hunts to get people fired. She and her comrades make life miserable at that company.
Here’s my big point: Every top tier worker in that field will know about this and avoid that company like the plague in the future.
…
Disney Parks now has that same problem with the Imagineers.
There was a reason Disneyland was such a cut above county carnivals and that reason was…Europe?!?!
It’s true. European amusement parks go back a long time, some of them are older than the United States. Walt was impressed by the pristine look and feel of European amusement parks. The reason they were cleaner and more highbrow was because they were parks first and foremost. Europeans for centuries would travel to a certain locale to “partake of the waters,” or they would go somewhere with beautifully manicured gardens or magnificent concertos.
The hawkers, vendors, and amusements would follow. However, the men running the parks would demand high standards from these camp followers. Since these people became permanent residents, it was easy for them to settle in and take snobbish pride in their professions and workplace.
The result was a higher quality experience for European parkgoers.
American amusements were unfortunately dominated by carnival culture. Dusty, grungy, chipped paint, gaudy lights, and fleece the rubes, then get out of town. American carnivals consisted of ripoff games, creaking rides, and strippers who had young bodies with aging faces. Kids always wanted to go but parents could see what was beneath the gaudy surface. It was tolerable as a once-a-year thing, but so far as respectable middle-class families were concerned it was just as well that the carnies left town after two or three weeks.
After a trip to Barcelona’s Tibidabo, Walt Disney decided he was going to change all that.
Disney repeatedly said, “Disneyland could only have been built by a movie company.” And he was right. Nobody else would have approached problems in quite the same way as a film company. Walt’s people understood perspective in a way that most architects and engineers simply could not. His parkgoers were viewed as an audience, they weren’t just there to go on rides they were there for a holistic experience. The park employees were called cast members for a reason.
Each of Disneyland’s three amusement parks had stories to tell. And they were very American stories. Main Street USA was a step backward in time to an innocent America that knew nothing of the horrors of the Great War or World War Two, the desperation of the Depression, and fear of atomic weapons. Frontierland told parkgoers tales of myth heroes of the American people. The tall stories of frontier heroes like Daniel Boone, Jim Bowie, and Davy Crockett. While Frontierland looked back with pride on the achievements of the past, Tomorrowland looked forward to an optimistic American future.
As for Fantasyland, those stories were about as Americanized as you can get. All of my readers are probably well aware of little details that got filed off, like stepsisters cutting off their own toes or why Hansel and Gretel were really in the Woods all by themselves and what Prince Charming actually did with Sleeping Beauty. But fantasyland didn’t have any of those little details. It was a place of beauty, heroism, and of course magic.
At Disney Parks the backstory has always come first. And all of the park rides have them
…
When Walt Disney was at the Tibidabo he saw the Automata Museum, he tried repeatedly to buy it over the years. They were the kind of thing he would become obsessed with. The man who built a ¼ scale ridable railroad in his backyard had to have some of this own.
Taking the initials of his name; Walter Elias Disney founded WED Enterprises and began building his own automatons which he called, animatronics. The men who designed them were christened, Imagineers.
The Imagineers were the men who made the dreams happen, they were the illusionists who created the magic. Make you an audience think they were taking a trip to the moon? No problem. Take a cable car ride to the top of the Matterhorn? Easy. Convince people they were in a mansion surrounded by 999 ghosts “with room for one more”? Give me a real challenge.
Okay, that last one was a real challenge as it turned out. Disneyland has nowhere near the room that Disney World would have in years to come. The Imagineers needed to figure out how to get the Haunted Mansion’s passengers from the assembly station to the start of the ride when there were railroad tracks between these two points and keep the audience engaged in the story at the same time. The solution was to build the world’s largest open elevator and make it part of the story. Which is how the Stretching Room came to be.
The Imagineers have had their fails as well. The Yeti on Expedition Everest was the largest animatronic Disney ever built. And it was only briefly in operation because as it turned out the rest of the ride was under-engineered. The robot-monster was so big it was damaging the roller coaster during its act.
Well, anyone can have a bad day. My point is that, traditionally, the Imagineers successes are so big their failures really standout.
Note my use of the word “traditionally.”
The old guard of Imagineers as represented by the likes of Joe Rohde, found themselves out of a job this year. Pushed out from below by the Young Turks of the Stories Matter group.
Far from viewing the audience as their public to be entertained, the Stories Matter Imagineers clearly and obviously view it as a class in need of education. Although, the Stories Matter crowd is often desperate to show how clever they are. Remember how the old school guys wanted to keep the crowd in the moment at the Haunted Mansion? The new generations of Imagineers could care less about that. Witness the Stargate and Death-Taco that are now hideously disfiguring the beauty of the World Showcase Lake at Epcot.
Now they are moving on to the backstories. The Jungle Cruise ride is being refurbished on the fly without closing it. They don’t have any choice the movie will be out before they could close and reopen. They are also frantically retconning the backstory of the ride to make it much more Woke.

Over the past few weeks, the national media’s attention has shifted to the protests against police brutality that have arisen across the country following the death of George Floyd, a black man killed by a police officer in Minneapolis. That brutality and those protests, however, are nothing new — on-duty police officers have fatally shot about 1,000 Americans every year between 2015 and 2019, and black people are consistently most at risk of being killed by police. This year has been no different so far.
But the media hasn’t paid much attention to protests against police brutality or misconduct over the last few years. These protests, often grouped under the umbrella of the Black Lives Matter movement, featured prominently in national media during and after the 2014 demonstrations in Ferguson, Missouri. In recent years, though, they have received much less media attention.
According to our analysis of closed captioning data of cable news broadcasts from the TV News Archive1 as well as headlines of online news articles in Media Cloud’s database,2 the phrase “Black Lives Matter” appeared less than half as frequently on both mediums between 2017 and 2019 as it did from 2014 to 2016.
We also ran queries for cable news snippets and online news headlines containing the words “police,” “black” and either “violence,” “brutality,” “kill,” or “killed” to get a sense of whether these patterns were also present in coverage of the underlying issues the Black Lives Matter movement seeks to address. The query returned similar results, with a large spike in July 2016 — after a black gunman shot and killed five police officers during a peaceful demonstration in Dallas — followed by significantly fewer results until Floyd’s death. (We haven’t run a full analysis of FiveThirtyEight’s coverage, but we certainly covered the recent protests far more than past Black Lives Matter protests during the Trump administration.)
Danielle Kilgo, a professor of journalism, diversity and equality at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, pointed to two stories involving black men shot and killed by police between 2017 and 2019 that didn’t get nearly as much national press: The protests in St. Louis after a white police officer, Jason Stockley, was acquitted of first-degree murder for a 2011 shooting in which he killed 24-year-old Anthony Lamar Smith, and the protests in Sacramento, California, after the death of Stephon Clark, a 22-year-old killed by police who said they believed he had a gun (the only item later found near Clark was his cellphone).
The protests in St. Louis, for example, shared many of the same elements as those in the past few weeks: there was a video of the incident, the protests lasted for days and turned violent at times, and dozens of people were arrested, including a journalist. “They were huge protests and they were prolonged protests, but they didn’t receive the coverage they needed to expand beyond that,” Kilgo said. She hypothesized that it was in part because the protests came on the heels of the Unite the Right rally that brought white supremacists to Charlottesville, Virginia. The rally drew a lot of media attention and may have shifted the conversation about racism away from Black Lives Matter and towards a discussion about white supremacy, she said. Kilgo also noted that the story of players kneeling during the national anthem at football games was getting a lot of coverage in the national press around the time of the St. Louis protests, especially after the president weighed in.
“The whole news broadcast couldn’t be about racism,” she said, pointing to other stories related to racism, like racist rhetoric coming from the president, that could have drawn the media’s attention away from Black Lives Matter. “I think they were just blinded by other things. There’s lots of shiny objects floating around in our political landscape right now.”
It’s not only important for protest movements to receive media coverage — the focus of the coverage also makes a difference. In order to successfully achieve policy aims, protest movements must walk a fine line. They need to be disruptive enough to capture and hold national attention, but also retain enough public support to pressure politicians into action.
Kilgo’s research suggests that this task may be a particularly tough one for the Black Lives Matter movement because protests about anti-black racism tend to get less legitimizing news coverage. In a review of 777 news articles from 20 different newsrooms in Texas, Kilgo found that press reports were more likely to emphasize the disruption caused by protests and less likely to emphasize legitimate political grievances, compared to reports of protests about other issues like health and immigration. And the coverage of protests against anti-black racism was also more likely to rely on official sources rather than protestors’ perspectives.
I spoke with Drexton Clemons, a 26-year-old stand-up comic in New York City who has been out protesting several times since George Floyd’s death, about what it has been like to watch the coverage and observe the media at the protests. He told me that while media was present throughout the entirety of one protest he attended, he felt the media presence was heavier later on in the day, “as if to capture some of the brutality that the police are doing onto the protesters, as well as the rioting or looting.”
“They’re missing hours and hours and hours of people peacefully protesting,” he said, “but it almost seems as if they don’t care about that particular narrative.”
Kilgo told me media coverage often fails to explore the nuances in interactions between the police and protesters. “This idea of police militarization and police and their actions at protests was really reduced to the idea of ‘clashes’ or the idea that they were arresting someone,” she said of coverage of previous protests. This isn’t the first time journalists have been arrested at Black Lives Matter protests, but now that the police have attacked and arrested multiple journalists, “there is a discussion of protection of the press, a First Amendment right,” something she says was mostly absent from previous coverage. But she also noted that the same amendment that protects the free press also protects the protesters’ rights to peaceably assemble.
So far, it seems that the protests in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death have, despite the hurdles Kilgo’s study highlighted, managed to retain public support while capturing the media’s attention. A NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll conducted from May 28 to June 2 found that when asked to choose, 59 percent of Americans were more concerned about “the actions of police and the death of an African American man,” while only 27 percent reported being more concerned that the protests had turned violent.
But the road to permanent change is long. A recent study from Omar Wasow, suggests that areas that saw violent protests in the 1960s saw an increase in President Richard Nixon’s vote share in the 1968 election. (Nixon ran on a “law and order” platform and waged a “war on drugs” that exacerbated many of the racial inequalities in the criminal justice system that the protesters are working to undo.) It is unclear to what extent the lessons from the 1960s will apply today, but having public support undoubtedly will help activists pressure politicians to implement reforms. And much of that public support may be contingent on how the story of the movement is covered by mainstream press.

Black facing
In this blog, I am going to be discussing how black facing, a widely historically known event has still been seen throughout our generation through social media platforms such as Instagram, Tumblr or any other easily assemble internet source. The purpose of this blog is to bring awareness to how black facing has been promoted throughout history and has traces of it still seen in today society that have been overshadowed by other events guided towards the general public. Blackface movement has been seen throughout history and thought to have been disappeared in the 2000s yet is purely masked by social media that presses on other topics that gain the general public eye and overshadows movements like black facing.
Black facing originated around the early 1830s and had really taken the general publics attention around the year 1845 when people began to perform mistral shows, musicals and wrote music that was orientated around black facing, the performers were most often white middle age men who changed the style of their language, movement, and overall character by painting their skin black in order to play the role of a black man/women primarily to entertain the middle age class.
Black facing is a very important topic because it can influence one's life in a negative way by being surrounded by such immoral events that no human should ever experience. We need to take such events more importantly and bring justice to people that have to experience things like black facing in their daily life. In my research blog, I will be analyzing how all of these events have led to where black facing is now and how the society views it in the current age vs. how it was view back in 1800′s.
In a news article that was published on February 7th, 2019 a news report has released an image of Democratic Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam back in 1984 was spotted in a racist yearbook for Eastern Virginia Medical School he discussed how his values have changed since that time. He also does not plan to resign from his position yet he was later asked to resign from his position after the incident had come to be heard by more people. I believe it is outrageous how someone with a history of clear black facing could even become affiliated with the government, I thought there were stricter laws on the background check, especially for the government? Or was it because of previous family history that he was so easily accepted into becoming a governor?
The photo on the right shows an image of two men, one dressed in a KKK costume and the other is in blackface, the photo is taken from a 1984 yearbook of Ralph Northam. He does not admit to which one was he said it was an irrelevant fact. Under the photo the quote “ There are more old drunks than old doctors in this world so I think I’ll have another beer”. The quote can be interpreted in many ways but my view on it is that he wanted to be like the general public, follow trends and fit in. People like Northam have taken positions in the government and have been a part of the society, with a background of black facing nobody should be allowed to have power over governmental issues dealing with society.
An article discussing the historical events that have had a major influence on black facing found on “Blackface!” Blackface! - Blackface History Prior to Minstrel Shows article states that Thomas Dartmouth “the father of American minstrelsy” performed song and dance routines in blackface in 1828 New York City. he was a widely known artist that really helped the growth of blackface throughout history.
In 1842 songwriter Daniel Decatur Emmett had devised a program of singing and dancing blackface. 1850’s minstrel shows developed into a standard format of three parts developed by Edwin Christy. There Are multiple different personas that have made an enormous impact on the blackface movement, each from a different aspect which combined made the blackface movement a normal, day to day aspect. There were no laws that had made blackfacing illegal and so black people had to be exposed to such unhuman instances throughout their life.
A current event that has made the headlines on December 15, 2018, was Prada's new collection which depicted blackface in their new collection. The figures were black and had large red lip monkeys. People believe such controversy would have never occurred if Prada had a more diverse workforce with having very few people of any other race then white working on their staff. Prada has made many apologies regarding this event but the collection and idea should have never been made in the first place.
Pradas collection had a very strong similarity to a “Three blackface masks Collection of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture” It was a gift of the Collection of James M. Caselli and Jonathan Mark Scharer. The blackface mask has the same style as Prada's hoodies, with a black and red mouth. The similarities cannot be mistaken and Prada has crossed the line with releasing the 2018 collection, “When are you going to allow black folks to be decision-makers, to be something other than window dressing at your company, so you don’t have Sambo window dressing?” states a reporter. She had observed that most of the population that worked in the store had been of one race, and so no other cultural influences had been introduced which led to such outcomes.
A current event posted on November 24, 2018, shows a Video posted by a family-run hardware store in Ireland that had his skin painted black, the video was to promote Black Friday sales, not only is the painting in black he also waggles his tongue during the video resembling a savage look to add on to the black painted skin. These portrayals of African Americans were what created jezebel and uncle tom and others. Such events still occur in today's society and could be detrimental to ones mental health on how one views the world.
Rachel Dolezal a box braider extraordinaire who has recently changed her name to avoid going to trial for welfare fraud has agreed to pay over $9,000 in restitution and complete 120 hours of community service to avoid going on trial for welfare fraud. Rachel claims to have seen herself as black rather than white beginning with her childhood, even though both of her parents are fully white. Through all of the lies, she has been through she “has made multiple allegations that she’s been a victim”. Rachel has made multiple statements that she has “a huge issue with blackface” she also had mentioned in the article “that she wants to be photographed in the sun so that her skin looks darker”. It is one thing to want to have a more complex skin color and have your hair curly, Rachel Dolezal took it to another level by claiming to be black, receiving support from the government and many more.
Many factors influence the way black facing had originated, drawing from all of these sources, there is great history in black facing, and multiple factors have influenced the growth and evolution of such performances and how It had become a social norm throughout the years. Blackfacing is still seen in today's society and there are many structural aspects such as dialogic arrangements, character, narrative mechanics of blackface that became the dominant ways in which one represented blackness. There were many widely known people that greatly affected the mass entertainment of these performances throughout history and in today's society we see people that are involved in the government field have had an association with black facing.
From analyzing multiple sources that all involve a type of black facing, some direct and some indirect, we can see how any of these events could make an impact on someone's life. If events such as these went unnoticed they would end up growing and possibly shifting back into the way it used to be in the 1800s, social media is a powerful tool and people need to learn to utilize it to our best abilities and to grow as a society.
Methodological issues are associated with being socially acceptable and thought as humor. The methods that we could begin to establish in a society are to bring awareness and not undermine any morally wrong situations that could lead to trauma. methodologies involving racial differences could be viewed as a socially influenced, could lead back to colonialism involving power and control ones has upon someone else.

Tru To You
Motels have been a part of the American landscape since the 1920s and 1930s, when they started popping up to serve the growing number of people driving cars for leisure and business. Of course, those early motels were very different from today’s, often very small, and often with individual garages to park your prized possession. They were a watered down version of hotels, which typically were in large downtown areas and along the railroad track.
Motels continue to prosper in the current era, with a new wave of properties like Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn, and Fairfield (among others) that are labeled as hotels now, replacing the older motels from the 1950s and 1960s that one could drive right up to their door and unload. Today, they tend to feature a common lobby area, elevators, and interior hallways and doors.
As prices have gone up and customers gotten older, the need has arisen to reconsider the modern motel, and try to serve the needs of a new generation of travelers who face different circumstances and have different preferences from we old folks.
To address that need, Hilton announced in 2016 the introduction of their new line of hotels, Tru, one that is aimed squarely at Millennials, that oft-criticized group of young adults born between 1980 and roughly 2000. They are just now starting to appear along freeways. My wife and I had the opportunity to stay at one this summer in South Dakota, and found it to be a refreshing take on hospitality.
The price point is said to be lower than other hotels, falling in the $90-$100 range, although our stay cost $130. Rooms are spartan, simple, and small, to the point of my comparing it to if IKEA went into the hotel business...except that customers don’t have to assemble anything. I have a gallery of photos here for your perusal.
Aside from the room being small and the desk space barely workable, we found the overall ambience to be delightful. The large commons area features a central desk that also serves as the point-of-sale for convenience items, including wine and beer. Comfy and cozy are the key words, with barrel chairs, hanging macrame chairs, workstations, and long shareable dining spaces spread throughout. There are even foosball tables.
I was surprised, though, to actually find a smattering of cable TV selections in the room. I kind of figured they would have cut the cord and gone only with streaming servies, which they also had.
But it was the breakfast I loved the most. It was clear that Hilton spent a lot of time studying Millennials and their dietary preferences. This was no standard continental breakfast at all; having a complete bagel bar, Fruit Loops, and Nutella told me they were selling this to young adults.
The marketer in me loves when I see a perfect execution...strategy, that is. Hilton has clearly done more than its fair share of focus group interviews to make sure they nail this one down.
That said, they must be able to hit that original price point, because $130 beings to sound like too much to young adults, particularly young families. It could price them out of their target’s ability to pay, leaving a bunch of Baby Boomers dipping bagels in the Nutella, and reliving their college foosball glory years.
Yeah. Sign us up. We’ll be back for sure.

Something about box-type transformer (Recommended)
Box-type transformers are widely used in urban power grid transformation, high-rise buildings, residential areas, highways and photovoltaic projects. Generally, there are three types: American box-type substations, photovoltaic assembly-type substations, and European-style box-type substations. They are closely related to people's lives, so how much distance is safe?
First, look at the pros and cons of box transformers
We have already introduced what is a box transformer in the previous blog. So I decided not to repeat. Ok, let's focus on its pros and cons.
Pros
1. More reasonable internal structure and excellent space occupation
2. Simple and convenient operation, so it can be assembled quickly.
3. Flexible combination of box-type transformers.
Cons
1. The construction of traditional cast-in-place concrete foundation requires the excavation of municipal facilities and the placement of building materials, which will inevitably occupy a large construction site, bring inconvenience to traffic, and not be conducive to the normal travel of residents.
2. During the excavation and maintenance period of the traditional cast-in-place concrete foundation, if the warning signs are not clear or the safety fence is damaged, nearby residents and pedestrians stray into the construction site, which may cause personal injury and increase safety risks.
3. If the box-type transformer is increased and transformed for a long time, it will have a serious impact on the basic electricity consumption of residents.
Second, the safe distance between the box-type transformer and the building
According to the data given by the "Safety Regulation Standards", the safety distances set are also different according to the different voltage levels. Examples are given below according to different voltage levels.
500KV, the distance should be kept at five meters;
220KV is 3 meters;
110KV is 1.5 meters
35KV is 1 meter
10KV can guarantee safety as long as 0.7 meters.
If there is a problem with the box-type transformer, how to maintain it?
Check the grounding condition of the transformer, whether the ground wire has fallen, and if it has fallen severely, it must be replaced. Reliable lead terminals, grounding screws, and busbar screws. Remove the screws if they are loose. Please use a thin flat file to file the contact surface, or use instead of spring washers and screws until the contact is delicate. Wash the dust on the accessories on the four sides of the transformer, and then check whether the fire fighting method and the ventilation situation are in doubt.
Turn off the grounding switch on the high-voltage side, lock the high-voltage opening tie, and use a shaker to measure the insulation resistance. Then turn off the grounding switch on the high-voltage side again to discharge the box-type transformer. Check the transformer room and transformer carefully for any remaining objects, and evacuate the scene.
What should be paid attention to in the mechanical repair of box-type transformers
Box-type substations shall strictly abide by the various rules required by the electric power department in terms of installation, acceptance, explanatory experiment, commissioning, operation and protection. Also pay attention to the following items: the user should carefully check the relevant rules when receiving the goods, and the products that are not installed immediately should be stored in an appropriate place in accordance with the normal operating conditions.
The product should be lifted from the bottom of a special spreader. Place the product horizontally on the pre-made foundation, install four anchor bolts (secondary pouring method can be used), and then seal the gap between the product base and the foundation with cement sand paddles to prevent rainwater from entering the cable room. High and low voltage cables are connected through the bottom sealing plate of the high and low voltage chambers. The gap between the cable and the pipe is sealed and waterproof.
What to pay attention to in JDG when customing box transformer
JDG's box-type transformers have GB 17467 and IEC 61330 standards. They are compact in structure and easy to maintain. Since the transformer products are highly non-standard, if you have other technical parameter requirements, we will accurately design for you according to your provision.
