I know you or the others in the fandom might ask me the same thing, but here’s how I discovered the game. I discovered Grimm on accident while making a cartoonish gore iceberg (which was cancelled after I got busy with other projects). The iceberg was also kinda like a ranking on the most tame to the most brutal cartoon gore. I remember looking up “Fairytale Fights” and I that’s when I also learned about “American McGee’s Grimm”. I immediately became interested because of the game’s art style and aesthetic. You see, I was always into the whole cutesy macabre combo since my first introduction to it was Happy Tree Friends. That’s when I started doing some digging and found some form of the fandom on DA, but Tumblr seems to have it the most. This is where o found folks like you, @kirlias452, @bridgetswonderfulland, @dylan-skel, and a few others within the fandom. I’m gonna say this and this is based on my experiences with fandoms. I even got a few of my other close friends into the game, such as @artistryevie and @vetor2064. You guys are some of the most chillest I have seen for a game that’s obscured to its successor made by McGee, “American McGee’s Alice” and “Alice: Madness Returns”. There’s no bickering over shippings that I’ve seen, we come up with some unique AUs and headcanons that don’t break the characters, we sometimes make OCs/sonas for the Grimm universe, and make fanart to express our fixation with this cutesy macabre fairytale game.

Everyone talks about Alice: Madness Returns, but Rage form from the 1st game really got me good. American McGee's Alice is obviously the more difficult game, but I got so excited every time I had enough power to change to the Rage Alice!

Au 2: au where everything the same except the grimmified fairy tale characters assist Grimm in grimmifying the world.

Do you have any headcanon ages of the characters of American McGee’s Grimm?

Yeah!

Immortal — Grimm, Death, the Greek gods featured in King Midas, Rumpelstiltskin, Master thief’s godparents, Iron John (he’s a robot), Pied piper (this man is DEFINITELY not mortal he’s got that vibe to him), Master Theif (got bit by his godfather at one point), the 13th Son (he’s half immortal due to being born as a mortal, but was with his godfather Death most of his life)

Mid to late 40’s—30’s: Master Theif (is stuck looking like he currently does thanks to his godfather biting him before becoming a Master Theif), Ebenezer Scrooge (gets called ‘boomer’ by the youngsters)

Mid to late 20’s: Princess and the frog (in his human form), the damsels in Damsels in distress, Thumbling, Prince Connor, The brothers from the singing bone tale, Beast in his human form

19–18: Cinderella, Girl without hands, Jack Spriggins (along with his twin cousin), Dimwit, Snow White, Mulan, The boy who knows what fear is/Youth,

15: Caul bearing boy (legit stated in the story that he’s 15)

13 and under: Red riding hood (to be more specific; 10), Pinocchio

???: Puss in boots, Big bad wolf, Golden goose

Halloweentober Day 23: Madness

Here is American Mcgee's Alice from Alice in Wonderland Madness Returns!

I loved this game but also used to play it when I was younger. However, understanding the story and lore behind the grotesque game, it all makes sense. The gameplay is still really nice and still love it to make fanart ^^
