Summary: Mitch is the reader’s bodyguard and his feelings are revealed on the set of her new music video.

Mitch grits his teeth, biting back a low growl, he can feel a dangerous rumble in his chest that’s threatening to escape. His fury filled eyes witness you greedily accept every seductive touch from your co-star Justyn.

Your bodyguard is fully aware that the sexual bullshit playing out before him is just acting for your music video. That it’s your job at the moment to portray a lustful, passionate relationship for the camera. Although it doesn’t lessen the strong urge of wanting to break your co-stars face.

Justyn’s grubby hands are grabbing and pulling you, his lips kissing and grazing you, his whole motherfucking body keeps touching you. To make matters worse, you’re donning sexy red lingerie that barely leaves anything to the imagination.

Feeling himself start to overheat, Mitch harshly rips off his black leather jacket in an attempt to breathe. Unfortunately it’s futile because his blood continues to boil, failing to allow any form of sweet relief.

Suddenly feeling a heavy gaze, Mitch’s brown eyes snap to his left where he catches your stylist Megan sending him quizzical look. He starts to slightly panic because he thought his inner battle was kept under control. Now he’s paranoid about his feelings bubbling to the surface.

“Moving on!” The director shouts up into the air, on command the music and lights are cut and everyone jumps into action to setup for the next shot.

“Oh thank Christ.” Mitch already breaks out into a fast stride towards where you’re standing. He can’t help but groan loudly as Justyn wraps his muscular arms around you one last time to say goodbye.

You and your handsome bodyguard finally lock eyes as he impatiently waves you over. You squint noticing that he seems uncharacteristically flustered right now.

“You alright, Rapp? Your face is all red.”

“I’m fine. Let’s go.” Mitch replies half-heartedly motioning in the direction of your trailer. Deciding to just leave it be, a curious smile appears on your face as you let him lead the way.

“What was I thinking? I’ve never had so many outfit changes in one music video and now I know why. It’s a pain in the ass! This will be the sixth one.” You whine out, lazily hopping up your trailer steps and dragging yourself inside.

“You gonna wear actual clothes this time around?” Mitch automatically detects the hint of jealously in his voice and it makes him wince as he shuts the door behind him.

“I didn’t realize I had to run my wardrobe by you, Rapp.” You deliver dryly, not missing the way Mitch’s jaw tightens.

“Well now you know. So act accordingly.” Satisfied with his witty remark, Mitch ignores your roll of the eyes and proceeds to plop down onto the couch.

A sudden wave of energy bustles into the trailer when your stylist Megan and makeup artist Donny walk through the door. They immediately get to work, transforming you yet again into another character for your video.

“Doing anything fun on your day off tomorrow?” Donny inquires sweeping aside your wavy locks to dust bronzer over your chest and shoulders.

“I’m going to Disneyland!” You giddily clap your hands and start bouncing in your seat.

Your words bring Mitch into an automatic state of uneasiness and he’s now officially dreading tomorrow. He knows you going to a supermarket can turn into a shitshow, never mind a god damn theme park.

“Are you sure, Y/N?” Mitch hesitantly peels himself off of the couch and moves slowly to stand behind your chair. He looks apprehensive as he makes eye contact with you in the mirror.

“Yes! Don’t worry. You get the day off too. Go do whatever you want.” You happily inform him, giving his brooding reflection a thumbs up.

“Funny. What time will we leave? I’ll call and get a VIP guide setup to take us around to the rides.” Mitch misses the immediate scowl on your face, too busy typing away on his iPhone.

“I’m serious, dude. It doesn’t need to be turned into a celebrity thing. I don’t want a guide shuffling me around the park and pushing me to the front of the line for every ride. I just wanna be normal for once.” It’s now your bodyguard’s turn to have the scowl and he certainly wears it well.

“Besides Joel will be with me.” You add quickly casting your eyes down to fidget with your bracelet. You’re already aware of Mitch’s opinion of him and it’s definitely not in your favor.

“Joel. Your moron guitar player? You’re kidding, right? He couldn’t fight his way out of a paper bag. There’s no way in hell I’m trusting him to protect you.”

“Mitch…”

“Not happening, Y/N. End of discussion.” He declares sternly.

“Don’t talk to me like I’m a god damn child.” You grumble in frustration while friggin Donny is squeezing your face with his hand to keep it in place. Impatiently waiting for him to fix your smokey eyes, he finally finishes with a loud ‘ta-da!’

“Can you guys please excuse us? Go get yourselves a coffee or something at craft services.” You smile sweetly but it fails to reach your eyes, thankfully Donny and Megan exit the trailer with no questions asked.

“I’m your boss ya know.” Not bothering to spin around in your chair, you decide to send him a hard glare through your reflection in the mirror.

“I don’t care.”

“Damn it, Mitch! I’m the celebrity. You’re the bodyguard. You do what I say!” In a loud huff, you hop off of your chair and twirl around to face him determined to stand your ground.

“To the world, you’re a celebrity. To me, you’re still the brace faced dork who made up dances to Madonna songs in her backyard.” He cheekily replies making your mouth drop open in shock.

“How the hell do you know about that? I was like eleven!”

“I was your next door neighbor, dumb ass. I could see you from my bedroom window.”

“Oh. So you were a stalker at fourteen years old. That’s not creepy at all.” You tell him narrowing your eyes.

“Stalker? Yeah totally. I was taking notes in my Ren and Stimpy notebook.” With a shake of his head, Mitch starts chuckling at the aggravated look covering your face.

“At least you admit it.” You mutter under your breath.

“For your fucking information…that asshole John from down the street always picked on the younger kids. I was watching over your stubborn ass even back then.” Mitch laughs humorlessly realizing just how long you’ve had a hold on him.

“Whatever. There’s a reason that my former bodyguards didn’t work out. I don’t need a babysitter, Rapp.”

“You got along with all of them until they disagreed with you. Two got fired and the third quit. Nice track record.”

“You’re giving me a headache, man.” You moan dramatically, doing your best to focus on something that isn’t the brown eyed man.

“You know what the difference is between me and those other guys?” Mitch intentionally speaks louder making your head snap up to attention.

“Enlighten me.”

“I. don’t. give. a. fuck. You can whine, cry, bitch, yell, have a tantrum…doesn’t matter. I’ve seen the best of you and I’ve definitely seen the worst. So give me your best shot, princess.” He finishes with a smirk that drives you wild and you’d like nothing more than to wipe it off his fucking face.

“Yeah well I’m gonna tell Stan that you’re being a dick to me.” You regret the childish words the second they fly out of your mouth. Annoyed with yourself, you pretend that you didn’t just revert back and act like a twelve year old.

“Aw you’re gonna go tattle tale to your big scary uncle?” He rolls his eyes. “Go ahead. No skin off my back.”

“You’re the one who wanted this job so bad, Rapp. I wouldn’t act so cocky.”

“I…I’m sorry?” Mitch looks taken aback, searching your face to see if you’re fucking with him.  

“You’re the one who begged Stan to get me to hire you!” You respond exasperated now pacing around the trailer. You think back to the conversation you had with the uncle that raised you.

“Are you high?!” Mitch spits out causing you to automatically freeze in front of him.

“Hurley convinced me to let you have the job. He said you weren’t ready to get back into the field after your last mission.”

“That little mother fucker.” Mitch growls pulling a confused expression from you.

“I was involved in an operation but I backed out because he practically pleaded with me to take this job.”

“That doesn’t make sense, Rapp.”

“Hurley said you wanted someone you were comfortable with and that you could trust. And that you wanted me to do it.” He barely glaces at you, focusing more on the pit developing in his stomach.

The obvious question of why your uncle would arrange this is hanging in the air, neither of you wanting to be the one to voice it first. Of course you figure it’s because of your hidden feelings for Mitch.

You’ve never admitted them to your uncle but he knows you all too well. This is the bastard’s way of trying to get you to reveal them. You’re not easily intimidated but Mitch has always driven you to the point of madness.

“It wasn’t my idea. I had another security guard hired and then I had to drop him.” You purse your lips wishing that your uncle was here, you want to strangle him for putting you in this embarrassing situation.

While you’re lost in thought, Mitch sinks back down onto the couch feeling worn down by this whole ordeal. Leave it to Stan to exhaust everyone when he’s not even in the same fucking state.

“Stan’s done a lot of ridiculous shit over the years but this one takes the cake.” You say quietly now feeling extremely awkward with every movement that you make.

“I knew it.” Mitch scoffs clasping his hands so tight that his knuckles are turning white.

“Knew what?”

“When I first started, I mentioned to Hurley that you didn’t seem too thrilled that I was around. He said to give it time, that you were just being shy. And I bought it!”

“I can be shy.” You state defensively, dropping down next to him onto the couch.

“Shy my ass. You were just half naked, dry humping some random guy in a room full of people.” Mitch spits out before he can stop himself. He reluctantly turns towards you and then encounters the ultimate bitch face. 

“But you’re the princess of pop so apparently being risque is acceptable. What the hell do I know?” He finishes now unable to control the judgmental shit being aimed your way.

“You sound like a jealous fucking prick right now!” You’re instantly alarmed about what just slipped out of your damn unfiltered mouth. It seems to have woken something deep inside of Mitch who looks extremely close to flipping his shit.

“Maybe because I am!” Mitch roars propelling himself into the middle of the room.

He appears slightly intimidating between his rougher than usual voice and the intensity in his eyes but you decide to stay frozen while he continues his breakdown. Besides what he just exclaimed isn’t sinking in with you yet, otherwise you’d have a much stronger response.

“I’ve been in love with the same girl since I was fourteen. Fourteen! Do you know what it’s like having feelings for someone and being too big of a pussy to tell her? And let’s not forget that she turned into the biggest fucking pop star on the planet!”

Mitch’s gesturing wildly and you’re praying that he continues his rant because you are at a fucking loss. You’re understanding his words but your brain is not fucking registering them.

“So naturally your idiot uncle decides to step in and rearrange my entire god damn life, making me a permanent fixture in your crazy world. As if me being around you 24/7 would make me grow some balls. And I guess the joke’s on me because here we fucking are.”

Finally pausing to catch his breath, Mitch gives you his full attention and it makes your head start swimming. So much for being your usual confident self, you feel like you’re on the verge of a panic attack.

“Well…are you gonna say anything, Y/N?!”

history teachers should start assigning students fanfiction writing rather than essays or answering boring questions

like i would learn so much more if i had to research the revolutionary war and write a modern au while including requirements like including certain characters and their key personality traits rather than memorizing the textbook and spitting it out in the test and forgetting it the minute after

they could just tell us: write a fanfic about obama meeting washington and maintain key personality traits, demonstrate your understanding of political parties or something

we could go really fun and do a mermaid/pirate au with like britain and american where the americans are mermaids 🤣 or like what would happen if americans never left britain and there was no revolutionary war 🤔 or just taking out key events or au where a certain figure lives like what if lincoln was never assasinated 😂

i feel like i could come up with a ton of creative prompts with my very limited knowledge, so i think the teachers should be fine

and then after we write fanfictions we can read each other’s and give kudos and comments 😂 history class would be so so so much more fun

modern problems call for modern solutions ;)

Haitian President Assassination: What we Know

In the early morning of July 7, 2021, President Jovenel Moise of Haiti, was assassinated in his home by a group of mercenaries. His death has caused an uproar in the country and has ramifications across the world including the United States. The investigation has brought out a lot of information that can make the case very confusing on what is the truth and what is not.

Somewhere around 1 a.m. on July 7, a group of around two dozen assailants attacked the president's home disguising themselves as Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agents. The DEA has publicly stated they have nothing to do with the attack. With little to no resistance from the President’s security detail, they entered and shot him multiple times. [2]

As the days have gone by, the plot of this assassination widens as the investigators in Haiti release information on the perpetrators behind the attack. Officially, twenty suspects have been arrested and a list of 19 of them have been released. Seventeen of them were Columbians and two were Haitian-Americans with one of them being a former DEA informant. [2]

One of the more confusing parts of the investigation is when the Haitian investigators announced the arrest of a Haitian American, Christian Sanon. [1] He is accused of being the mastermind and financer behind the plot and wanting to take over as the President of Haiti. Some close to Sanon have revealed he had plans to run a political campaign in Haiti, where he would implement multiple policies in there. [1] Investigators also believe the assassination plot could have included Moise's security detail as they provided little resistance to the attack.

According to a police source, Sanon was arrested after a raid in a building in Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti. In the raid, police found multiple items possibly connected to the assassination plot, including firearms, ammo, and even a hat with a DEA label. [3]

A lot of speculation has stemmed from trying to figure out the motive behind the assassination. Former President Moise has been accused of corruption during his time as President, including overstaying his power as president. Another issue the country is faced with, is there are struggles on who oversees the country right now. [2]

How is the United States factored into this situation? Following the assassination, Haiti has asked for U.S. personnel to come to help with the investigation and also U.S. troops to help protect critical infrastructure in the country. The Biden administration has not yet made any statements on sending troops to Haiti but has announced that top officials from the FBI and Department of Homeland Security have been sent down to Haiti. [2]

This will also affect the situation with Haitian immigrants living in the United States. Florida has a large Haitian population, and this could also halt efforts of deportation of Haitians.

Overall, this is a horrific crime that has taken over the country of Haiti. The political status of the country was already sensitive but with this assassination and as more facts come out about the plot behind it, we could see a lot of changes coming to the country.

I’m so nervous 🙈 I’m writing an AU for the first time because I have this GLORIOUS idea but I’m having such a hard time getting it out. I’m afraid it’s just going to end up straight trash. Any small tips on writing a semi-decent AU..? -🐈

Hello! Hm, AU-writing tips? Well, that depends. AU is a sweeping statement, which encompasses all genres set in an alternate universe from reality. I.e., an AU where Jackson is a nurse at a hospital. Or an AU where Jungkook is an assasin for the mafia. Or an AU where Kai is a Faery warrior, bound to a human. It can basically be any genre, so I’ll just give some overarching tips on worldbuilding. Keep in mind I am not a professional, so you are free to use whatever you find helpful! Continued after the break.

Typically the first questions I ask myself for an AU are: 

1) Is this set in the real world?

I.e. for No Strings (Jimin), yes. For The 7th Prince (GOT7), no.

2) Is this set in the current time period?

I.e. for Blackjack (Jungkook), yes. For Revolution (Taehyung), no.

This usually leads me to three kinds of of AU’s:

1) Fantasy AU. An entirely separate world - or an entirely new world, set within our world. (I.e., Obsidian)

2) Realistic AU. The characters are not idols, but they exist in our time and place. Typically these AU’s are things I’ve lived and am familiar with. A college!AU, a workplace!AU, etc. (I.e., No Strings; Cordially, Jimin, Row AQ)

3) Research AU. This is an entirely made-up category of mine, but it involves realistic AU’s which contain detailed subject matter I might not know about. Like Miami Cartels in the late 1970′s. Or the American Mafia, from the 1980′s until now. Or medical interns, in todays day and age. These are AU’s which exist and I don’t need to create - but I need to do research, in order to portray.

For the second and third AU’s - the best advice I can give is research. Research online, ask questions to friends/family members in your life. For Angel, I have a friend who’s a nurse and another who’s a med school intern - so I would text them all the time with questions on what lift in the hospital was like. What type of procedures they did, what common errors were. Even then, I still got things wrong! It’s hard to write about something you haven’t experienced. Careful, thoughtful research, is the answer here.

Fantasy AU’s are an entirely different beast. There are many, many things to think about when building a world from scratch. This is by no means a comprehensive list but some of the things you can and should think about when building a world are:

Societal Questions.

What type of government is there? Who leads the people?

How long has this type of government been in place / how did it get there?

Are there different classes / societies?

What are the politics? Are there factions? Powerful families? Is it a capitalistic/militaristic environment?

Cultural Questions.

What is Y/N’s class / status in this fake world? What is her income / family and background?

What are common occupations?

What is clothing like? Is it modern or period - if period, what one?

There are many things which make up culture. Traditions, recipes, slang, bedtime stories, children’s games, holidays, nicknames, beliefs/prejudices. All of these things interweave into a society, so its important to think of this when making one from scratch. 

Geographical Questions.

What does the landscape of the world look like? 

How does this help / mirror the events of the story?

Are there other countries, in this world? 

What resources does this country / other countries provide?

How does trade work?

What are the main water routes?

Magical Questions.

This isn’t a given, but a lot of the time fantasy worlds go hand in hand with magic. Some things to think of in that case are:

Who can use magic?

Where does the magic come from?

What does it feel like, to use magic?

Why can only certain people use magic (or, why can everyone)?

What are the limitations of magic?

How long does the magic last?

How does magic manifest? Is it visible, is it tangible? Is it only one kind of power, or an amorphous energy? 

Why haven’t the magic users risen up to take hold of society? What’s stopping them?

I hope this helps! Like I said, this is by no means a comprehensive list but something to get the ball rolling. As you write your world, you’ll think of more and more details to add. It’s natural, and I wish you the best of luck with your idea! Confidence and belief in your idea is the first step.

Reylo Civil War AU Aesthetic: Part 2, Part 1

This one is a little heavier on typography and graphics. It follows from part 1, telegraph Officer Ben Solo and Nurse Rey Kenobi meet during the american civil war and fall in love. Most of the photos have little a background to them as I enjoy visual storytelling.Though I did my homework may not be all historically accurate. 

Top panel: The left picture shows the mansion house hotel which during civil war was converted into a hospital and this is where Rey is transfered to. The middle picture denotes the many telegrams ben managed to sent Rey and lastly silhouette paintings were very common during this period and the only memory Ben had of his sweetheart.

Middle panel: The first picture denotes Officer Ben Solo whom I based on Driver’s character Samuel Beckwith, Officer of Ulysses. S. Grant whom President Lincoln had regular interactions with, infact he is said to the first person who transmitted the whereabouts of John. W.Booth following Lincoln’s assasination ,leading to his capture. The middle picture is a small book of poems Ben had gifted Rey which was one of Rey’s single most valuable possession. On lonely nights mad with worry Rey would read through them and pretend it was Ben’s deep voice reading it to her. Lastly is the lovely Rey manip by @angrydragonpuppy.

Last panel: The Fitzgerald qoute seemed most apt to describe their encounters.During this time nurses like Rey would carry a small manuel of the nursing notes by Florence Nightingale with them everywhere. This and Ben’s poems were the only books she possessed. Her days passed in caring for the wounded soldiers and worrying about Ben at the front.

Bokuto closed his eyes as he listened to the white noises around him. Rushes footsteps. Buzzing conversations. Dragged wheeled luggage.

Airport is a place where you can find almost all emotions, like the anxious feeling in your gut when you were about to go to foreign place for the first time but also excited for the awaiting journey, the agitated and hopeful feeling as you waited for the loved one to come home, the anguish and determination to prove that leaving was the right choices, the warm adoration as you imagined a lovely vacation with your significant other, or the crushing sorrow in your heart as you said goodbye to that someone you loved so dearly you felt like you left a part of your soul behind. Worse was when you realized you would never see them again.

“Bokuto-san.”

Bokuto opened his eyes and looked up. Akaashi stood in front of him. Tall and graceful, with steady sharp, green eyes that took Bokuto’s breath away, every time without a fail, even after two years they’d known each other. Bokuto smiled fondly, noting the tired lines around those eyes and a slight frown of his eyebrows. By now, he could tell even the slightest glimpse of the other boy emotion behind the ever-present poker face. The little furrow on the corner of his eyebrows when he’s trying to figure something out, the taut line of his jaw when he’s upset, the faint tinge of red hidden behind his ears and the back of his neck when he’s flustered or embarrassed. Bokuto yearned to see more of those, to hear more of Akaashi’s genuine thought among the sarcastic remarks and dry humors.

It terrified him, as he realized, how he would trade anything just so he could stay for a little longer. Be with him just a bit more. He wished, as he gazed into Akaashi’s eyes, he could change who he really was.

“Bokuto-san,” Akaashi’s furrows deepened, “are you alright?”

“Yeah,” Bokuto cleared his throat, “I’m fine ‘Kaashi.”

“C’mon, the others are waiting.”

‘The others’ were Fukurodani volleyball regular members and their managers. They had thrown a farewell party the day before with all Fukurodani volleyball team members and some of Bokuto’s classmates and friends, so now the regular members were just the representative to bid him goodbye at the airport.

Oh, and there were Kuroo and Kenma as well, just because.

Kuroo waved as Bokuto and Akaashi approached them. The Cheshire cat grin plastered on his face. “Thought I missed seeing you off, dude.”

“Won’t dare dream of it, bro.” Bokuto hugged him and patted his back.

Kuroo retaliated by smacking his back harder. Bokuto smacked him back even harder. And it turned into a full back-smack competition with them still hugging. Some people who passed by stared at them with confused expression, some snickered, and most just pretended they didn’t see it, much like the other Fukurodani members. Konoha groaned. Bokuto could hear Akaashi sighing behind him and Kenma muttering idiots under his breath.

“So,” Bokuto exclaimed when he finally disentangled himself from Kuroo, “before I go, is there anything you guys want to tell me? Some sentimental goodbye speeches for your awesome and beloved former captain?”

“Bokuto,” Shirofuku, their manager, said.

Bokuto turned to her, eyes expectant.

“You never give me back the money I lent you.”

“Ahh,” he grimaced. “How about I’ll send you pictures of every hot foreign guys I’ll meet later? Blond? Blue eyes? I’ll introduce them to you.” He wiggled his eyebrows.

“How about I bash your head until your brain can finally start working properly?” she scowled. “Honestly, how did you even got scholarship overseas is beyond me.”

“Well, you can send the pictures for me,” Komi shrugged. At the blank look of his friends, he added quickly, “not of guys! I want pictures of hot girls!”

When the others were bickering about girls (“Japanese or American?” “I prefer Asian girls, they are small and easy to hug” “What do you know? The only woman you’ve ever hug is your mom” “HEY! I hugged my grandma too!”) Kenma tugged Bokuto’s sleeve.

“Shoyo says goodbye.” He thrust his phone screen towards Bokuto’s face. Good luck wishes and many emojis sprinkled all over it. And there was picture of Karasuno volleyball team members grinning at him, some thumbing up, some pointing gun fingers, some doing peace sign, some waving, and Tsukki at the back... just standing. Ahh, the loveliest, most expressive child of Karasuno. Bless his soul.

“Bo, it’s time,” Kuroo called.

Bokuto checked his watch then gathered his team into group hug. He patted their shoulders and told them how much he would miss them. And he realized he really meant it. He would miss them.

He fist bumped Kuroo and ruffled Kenma’s hair (“Did you juST HISS???” Kuroo guffawed “Bite him, Kenma”).

Then he turned to Akaashi.

He was staring at him. Green eyes locked into Bokuto’s golden ones. Bokuto loved those eyes. Eyes that had looked down at him softly as he laid his head on the younger boy’s lap. Eyes that had looked at him exasperatedly when he did something stupid. Eyes that had looked at him with disappointed frown when he said he gave up. I believe in you, Bokuto-san, you are more than this, you can do it. Eyes that had looked at him with warm contentment. I’m so proud of you, Koutaro. Eyes that he had kissed so lightly as stream of tears flowing down from them that one time they watched Hachiko.

Bokuto stepped forward, getting rid of distance between them, and pulled Akaashi into his arms. He felt Akaashi’s hands wrapped around his waist, head rested on Bokuto’s shoulder. He was shaking slightly. Or maybe it was Bokuto.

Bokuto turned his head into Akaashi’s neck and breathed him in. As he closed his eyes, he could hear white noises around him. Rushes footsteps. Buzzing conversations. Dragged wheeled luggage. The world kept on going, no matter how many times he wished -begged- it would just stop.

It terrified him how he would trade anything so he could be with the boy in his arms for a bit longer. How he wished he could change who he really was.

But he knew he couldn’t.

And so, he had to let him go.

“It’s not a goodbye,” Akaashi whispered.

Bokuto pushed him into an arm-length gently, reluctantly. He brushed his fingers on Akaashi’s cheek, down to his jaw and to his chin, mapping the lines and curves of his face.

“It’s not a goodbye,” Akaashi repeated. This time more quiet. Like something he was trying to convince to himself. “Say something,” Akaashi gazed upward, “Aren’t you supposed to be the loud one?”

I love you. Bokuto thought. But he didn’t say it. He never said it. They never talked about their feelings. But then again, they never had to, because they both just knew.

Bokuto smiled at him sadly. Slowly, he cupped Akaashi’s cheeks and kissed his forehead.

“Goodbye Keiji.”

Once he went through the checkpoint, Bokuto made a beeline to the restroom. He got into one of the empty stall and took his jacket and shirt off.

He rummaged his bag and pulled out a temporary black hairspray and a mirror. There was a giant mirror right across the stall but he couldn’t take a risk of someone might see him, so he brought his own.

He carefully sprayed the hairspray until all of his hair turned black. He doubled check the back of his head until he fully sure it was all cover.

Then he pulled out a dark navy polo shirt and black Aviator from his bag and put them on.

He extracted a small satchel from the inside of his bag. All of his ID, phone, and anything that could be traced back to him were already in the satchel.

The jacket, shirt, hairspray and the mirror was stuffed back into the bag. After he zipped it, he stashed it on the corner, not fully hidden so it would just look like someone forgot to take it.

His phone rang. Private number displayed on the screen. He picked it up.

“You ready?” came familiar voice from the other end.

“Yes,” Bokuto answered curtly.

“Target is in the nest. You got three hours to finish it.”

“Yes.”

“Good luck.”

“Hey,” Bokuto rasped, “if anything happen to me,” he inhaled slowly, “I want you to do one more thing.”

“Spill it.”

“Promise me you will protect him.”

“I will.”

Bokuto cut off the line. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, steadying his heart. Then he slung the satchel across his chest and went out of the restroom.

He didn’t go to his gate though. He headed straight to the exit door.
