I have the BIGGEST side eye for anyone who says shit like 'celebrities aren't obligated to make political statements' or 'why do you even care what they think?'. Why the fuck would I want to support someone who sees what's happening in Palestine and has the power to inform their audience/fan base and simply doesn't? Why don't they care enough to say anything at all? How do they, as millionaires and billionaires with very real influence whether we want them to have it or not, not want to help? When they see these people suffering and begging to just survive, how do they continue about their lives and not WANT to speak out even once??
Like how do they see children being bombed and go 'oh, that's so sad...anyway, nothing I can do about it', when they absolutely can do something about it. Small content creators with only a few hundred people listening are doing more to help Palestine than Taylor Swift, Beyoncé or literally any other big-time celebrity with the power to both make massive change and preserve their careers through it all. So why, why the actual FUCK, would I want to support these celebrities in ANYWAY when I know that they are capable of ignoring what's happening in Gaza or any atrocity like this. Why would I give my time and possibly money to some cunt who can't get on Twitter for two minutes and post something as simple as 'I stand with Palestine' because sometimes that's all they need to fucking do!
Y'all can ask 'why do you even care what they think?' all you want, but I do care if someone I was openly supporting doesn't have the basic decency to want to help the people of Palestine when they are screaming to be heard. Where they stand on issues like this will ALWAYS be more important to me than their next album or TV show. Silence is compliance.

roadtrip gothic
So you've decided to go for a drive. Just pick up and go. See where the road takes you. Find places you've never been.
You're not the first to try it, but be warned. Those who tried it before you have not been seen since.

On Tour: Sound of Nashville with Jarrod Dickenson and Robert Vincent
The new concert series “Sound of Nashville” brings some of the best newcomers and sounds the Country and Americana world has to offer like Jarrod Dickenson and Robert Vincent. I saw Jarrod a little while ago, supporting The White Buffalo and unlike some other support bands I still remember him because he’s such a great storyteller on stage. Traditional without being a boring copy which doesn’t happen to often. Recently he released “Under A Texas Sky” EP, a collection of songs from his homeland and its musical heroes like Willie Nelson or Roy Orbison and you can certainly hear a bit of typical Texas sound in there. It’s the first of a collections of EPs with songs from Texas.
Robert Vincent may not be from anywhere near Nashville (Jarrod is at least now living there) but that doesn’t stop him from sounding quite a bit like Nashville or well, making some pretty fine Americana music - but who is actually surprised? Americana and England’s Folk music are somewhat closely knit together. Inspiring each other from the early days on and Robert is the best example for it. To have these two on the same night will be a fine evening for fans of story telling, heartfelt and honest music.

Miss Americana (2020) Dir. Lana Wilson
Tumblr media
Taylor Swift’s story, in her own words. Sort of.
Reputation is the best album of all time. The earliest point in this film which provoked a reaction is Swift crying over the fact that she didn’t receive any Grammy nominations for it, and saying “I’m writing a better record.” Swift’s performance at the AMAs last year when she won Woman of the Decade didn’t feature any songs from Reputation.
I’m aware that not many people agree with me that Reputation is the greatest album of all time, or that the Reputation: World Tour is the best available piece of content on Netflix. I don’t care, because in the words of Mark Kermode, I know I’m right.
The hardest thing about watching this documentary was realising that Swift doesn’t know that I’m right. She doesn’t agree that Reputation is the best album of all time, because it didn’t get any Grammy nominations. What this documentary really showed me was that even though she’s four years older than me, and a few million dollars better off, I’m older than Swift in a lot of ways. The story we’re told is of a girl whose “entire belief system” is based on the approval of others, and who is, in her own words, “frozen in time at the age she became famous.” Watching Swift in this film, I got a glimpse of how my mother must have felt when I sobbed for hours about the fact that I didn’t want to go to Prom (except I did.) The moment when she discovers that Reputation isn’t Grammy nominated is infuriating, the way that my mum must have found it infuriating that I refused to engage with any social occasions as a teen because “nobody wants me there.” My mum knew people wanted me there. I know Reputation is the greatest album of all time. We are both right. It’s just that my mum shouting at me is more effective than me shouting at Taylor on my TV screen.
The film itself uses a lot of traditional documentary conventions to tell the story. You want archive footage? WE GOT IT. You want fly on the wall footage? WE GOT IT. You want intimate, emotional interviews? DAMN STRAIGHT WE GOT IT. But this is not Taylor’s account of events. It is the story of her much delayed growth from teen to young adult. We see her first real experience of political defeat, a moment where Swift came across more human than ever to me. She looked how I looked at 20, the first time I voted in a general election, and didn’t get what I voted for. With documentaries, we’re not being told the truth, we’re being presented with evidence and asked to create from that our own understanding of the truth. We’re presented with a possible truth. All the evidence is filtered through the producers, directors and editors, and presented as an argument. The argument here is not that Swift is right or wrong, it’s that she’s imperfect, and that she is learning. Her feelings about food, her body, politics, men - a lot of her observations felt like old news to me, because these were lessons I learned at university or at work. But this woman hasn’t ever been to university, and she’s never had an ordinary job. She’s learning these lessons slower, and she’s learning them in the public eye.
Rather than telling the story of Taylor’s feud with Kanye, or her political activism, or her relationship to the media, this film tells the story of a woman maturing. It is at times a little sentimental, and suffers from an over-application of emotive string/piano music, but is a more complex portrayal of its subject than I initially expected. Rather than looking up to Swift, by the end of this film I felt like she was a little sister who was still learning how the world works, and who is bound to make mistakes along the way. This is the best narrative for this story, because it doesn’t argue that its subject makes the best choices, or has the best perspective, but that she’s human. There are no “bad guys” in this story, it is not targeted as a response to anything, which so much of the media surrounding Swift has been for a long time. This is an effective portrait of Swift as a character.
The last point to bear in mind, though, is that Swift had to agree to make this film. In many ways, this is the story she wants us to hear. I believe she should be allowed to tell her own story, and I’m happy that she’s chosen this approach, rather than the petty one-sided stories that we’re used to associating with her.

hi, super new to all of the real estate stuff so sorry if you've already answered these q's!!! but is the rental that Dom spent xmas in the only rental Taylor has in london?? bc those comparison pics you used go all the way back to rep era so is that the same place tay and joe have been using for all these years?? or is there another/new one?? i only ask bc an anon mentioned "Taylor’s new London home actually looks not that big at all like not super fancy like some of her other homes" and i can't figure out which one is new lol also where does the frongal rental fit into the timeline??? sorry again for so many questions!! it's all very interesting though!
Hi lovely,
okay now we know they rented the Frognal house in 2016 and early 2017. based on Rep magazine dated polaroids and the fact they had a new year’s day party there.
in Miss Amerciana, we see her ‘unpacking boxes’ and moving into the second Belsize Park rental in the grammy scene, which i believe was filmed late 2017. **Edit end of 2018
this birthday video was also filmed in the house.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
so i assume they rented Frognal from 2016-2017 and have rented Belsize Park from 2018 until now.
now we aren’t sure if they are still renting it, as you mentioned it was recently used by Dom over christmas last year, i believe they could still be renting it but it could be that they have found a new rental or bought something, hopefully not though lol

It hit me in Miss Amerciana when the screen said “Age 23” and Taylor was performing “All Too Well” at the Grammys.
