Marc's Stimming Habits

When stressed, frustrated, or angry, or when something derails from his routine or surprises him, Marc waves his arms quickly to ground himself.

He goes to the library because no loud noises are allowed. Silence, and only silence is allowed here. Paradise…

Too much noise = Internal crisis + Tears + Fetal Position + Need of Earplugs.

Often sings to himself in Dutch, because the language soothes him in a way nobody can understand.

Is a fan of the Junior Songfestival, and has a whole playlist in his MP3 and phone. He also listens to the Junior Eurovision.

If he's angry or frustrated at something long-term, he would play chess against himself. He would be so frustrated with himself that he would either forget what made him angry, or his anger would be reduced. Nobody questions it, since it works.

When he was a child, Marc often spun on himself in the middle of his and Tony’s room, but because it was often a mess due to Tony’s toys and because Marc wasn’t watching, he often tripped and got bruises on his legs. It took a nasty fall that nearly took an eye out of him for him to stop. But from time to time, he can do a little spin to calm his nerves.

"Have you ever thought about... well, before ?"

"... You mean, my life before Hisui ?"

"Y-yes. If you don't want to talk about it, I understand ! I was just nosy-"

"It's alright, don't worry, Akari. And as for your question, yes I do. Every night, for one hour before going to sleep, and almost everyday, when something reminds me of them."

"L-like what ?"

"I dunno. Situations, people, my Pokemon, the colors..."

"Colors ?"

"Yes. Red, yellow and pink. I don't know what they represent exactly, but one thing for sure is that I love them very much and never had a dull time with them."

"Wowzers, really ?!"

"Yup ! But enough talking about me. Let's talk about you."

"M-me ?!"

"Yes. We're in the same boat, except that you don't even remember your name. I'm sure that if we talk a bit, something will come back."

"How d'you know for sure ?"

"I don't. But at least we will try. So, you told me that Cyndaquil reminded you of something. Was it due to the shades, or..."

When Marc fell into this parallel Hisui, he was surprised about the differences, but the main one was that Rei doesn't have a twin sister and that he didn't fall from the sky, no. Instead, it was a child named Akari, who landed on Prelude Beach and not the Obsidian Fields. He thought that this Akari would look the same as the one back here, but Arceus, he was wrong.

Instead of a bold girl with black hair and grey eyes, instead he finds a shy and quiet child a bit older than him with black-purple hair and piercing yellow eyes.

Because the two are not good at breaking the ice, it took the two starters to push them to each other to begin to talk. And once they did, it really blossomed, with Akari asking most of the questions while Marc (being the usual know-it-all he still is) gladly answers while the two Pokemon run behind them.

Marc is not my character officially, but the story and idea is mine.

Once, Marc stayed in the Icelands for too long. That, added with the lack of sleep, immediately put a toll on his health.

Having no choice, he asked help from Warden Calaba to take some medicine. A lecture later, Marc is drinking a very bitter medication mixed with black tea.

Marc's real soul color is actually a dark blue, which means sensitiveness, shyness, overwork, and tiredness.

A Spy In Hisui Masterpost

What if the person sent by Arceus wasn't from this world ? What if, despite his amnesia, his top-notch instincts and reflexes are still here, promising awkward and very funny situations in the wild ?

What if his partner wasn't a Hisuian starter, but a very (un)common Shinx ?

When Marc, an amnesiac thirteen something years old genius boy, falls unconscious in the Obsidian Fieldlands and is saved from dangerous Pokemon by a human-loving baby Shinx, a beautiful friendship, as well as partnership is born.

Together, with the help of their new Pokemon friends and a strange device, they'll travel lands, swim through rivers, and climb mountains, all while searching for every Pokemon known to Hisui, and quelling all the Lords and Ladies struck by a strange lighting.

I'm so grateful. I hope this will gather the courage to publish my own drawings, traditional as well as digital.

You can see Marc, with his partner Shinx. It might not look like it at first, but they'll wipe off the ground with strength and strategical thinking.

Don't be fooled by his face and bony hands. Marc is barely a teenager. Barely.

“Professor Laventon said I was very lucky to meet this little Eevee the first day I became a member of the Survey Corps. He said they were as common as they were rare, because they don’t wander outside very often, at human’s sight. This one is another case. He stole our Oran berries and kept trying to trap us when Shinx and I purchased him. A real prankster ! After some times, we hid behind a rock, waiting silently for the right moment to throw the Pokeball. The upside in this is that he was too distracted with his food to notice that he turned his back on us, making it easy to strike on the back. I decided to keep him after that because he was more mischievous than dangerous.”

Marc explained to a little girl how he captured the famous prankster Eevee that kept annoying villagers and guards. The next day, he saw a drawing pinned at the door. It showed Marc and Shinx behind a rock and an Eevee eating... blue peebles ?

No, Oran berries. These are Oran berries.

It is not a master piece, but the amnesiac could feel the emotions poured in this drawing. And that in itself was enough for Marc to stick it next to the small trinkets he keeps next to the window.

He never told her how the three had to run from the angry Alpha Rapidash because that stupid Eevee thought that its territory was a good place to snack.

He never told her how scary and familiar it was when he landed on the feral Pokemon's back and rode all the way through until he was thrown off and almost landed on the rock.

And he never told her how Eevee's carefree smile and mischievousness was painfully familiar.

Marc and Shinx barely woke up, the human not even out of his "pajama", that someone asks for the trainer's help, much to Shinx's chagrin, and in response, the baby Pokemon lets out a growl to show how content he is with that idea.

Wanted to do that little meme out of the blue as a way to apologize for the tiny absence, between the drawings and my will to write other things.

Marc might not look shy here, but he wouldn't have the guts to say no right now. As for Shinx's cry, he didn't get scared, but was just shocked because he didn't see that one coming.

Time to Relax

Marc is a hardworking child, and rarely rests.

Today is one of his days off, and he spends it by reading what he completed of his Pokedex, accompanied by his favorite mushroom cakes (though he doesn't notice the crumbs around his mouth), and the familiar and soothing weight of Shinx on his shoulder.

At the same time, Shinx is looking at the Pokedex with an awestruck look, or does he ? He is definitively not looking at the cake, definitively not drooling, and would absolutely take another one because he didn't choose today of all days to be a gremlin.

This is my main blog, who represents all the side blog.

I'm a huge fan of the Amazing Spiez, especially Marc Clark, and let's just say I created some AUs where some of them center him and/or his family.

There is only one side blog for now, but this will be updated.

@a-spy-in-hisui (Pokemon/Amazing Spiez Crossover) : (After Season 2 of Amazing Spiez) An amnesiac teenager lands in Hisui and becomes partner with a Shinx. But no one's ready for the chaos that's about to come...

@kieran-au (Pokemon Scarlet/Violet) : Many AUs centered around Kieran, from the DLC. For now, the two AUs are one where he got blind after Terapagos' blast, and the other is when he travels back in time to atone for his sins. However, I'll add one when it won't be Kieran the main character...
